1. Go to the Skype website
Click on "Login" at the top-right corner of Skype's Homepage and click on "New on Skype? Register". Don't worry, it's free!
2. Download Skype Desktop App or Use Skype online

3. Create a meeting on Skype

4. Recording your Skype conference
To transcribe your Skype meeting, you have to record the meeting first. Click on the button "Start recording" at the bottom-left corner of your meeting. A small banner will be displayed to warn each participant that the meeting is recorded.
5. End the meeting
Once your meeting is done, your recording will be automatically added to a chat thread with all the participants. The recording will be accessible and downloadable to all the people in the conversation.
Important! The Skype meeting recording will only be available for 30 days following the meeting. After that date, you will not be able to access and download the meeting's recording.
6. Download your Skype's recording
To download your Skype meeting recording, click on three dots at the top-right corner of your recording and click on "Save as...". A pop-up will appear on your computer and you will be able to download an .mp4 file of your meeting recording.
