I so relate to this. Number one, this is not a motivation problem. This is a brain capacity problem. When you go from high school to college, your brain is in overload. So when you sit down and you crack open a book and you don't feel like doing anything and your brain can't pay attention, it's because like, Dude, the cup is full. I don't want to read this textbook right now. 30 days. Plenty of time for you to learn and settle into your new environment, which will create more capacity for your brain. Second, you don't have systems and habits yet. When you were a high school student, you had places and times a day that you studied. And so for the next seven days, try a library, try that library, try the second floor, try the stacks. You are experimenting with what is a place that could become a system here at college for me to be a more effective student. And if you do that and you give yourself grace and you start telling yourself, as soon as I find my right time and place, I will be back in the seat of feeling like a great student again.
You got this.
