At least 15 people have been killed and dozens injured after a vehicle drove into crowds celebrating the New Year in New ...
Some normality has been restored to New Orleans. You can probably hear the sound of music here on Canal Street. This is the very street that the attacker drove up in his Ford pickup truck and took a sharp ride into the famous Bourbon Street right over there. That's where witnesses say he drove at 70 miles an hour or thereabouts towards the crowd, crashed the vehicle, got out, started shooting towards police officers, and he himself lost his life in the ensuing shootout. Many questions about security measures, measures that failed to stop him driving into Bourbon Street. There are street ballards in production. They've not been completed. The police say they had a vehicle stationed at the end of Bourbon Street and barriers, but the attacker got run them by driving on to the pavement. This is a city grieving its laws. In the place they call the Big Easy, it's hard.
