[00:00:48]

God bless football, Billy Gill.

[00:00:55]

God bless football, Mikey, eh?

[00:00:58]

God bless football, Fuentes.

[00:01:00]

God bless football, Stegatz.

[00:01:02]

God bless football is brought to you by DraftKings. Draftkings, the Crown is yours. I miss football. I miss football. Billy, I miss it. It's been months. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to fill my weekends.

[00:01:20]

Here's the thing is I thought as the season was coming to an end and as the Super Bowl was wrapping up, it's sad that this is all coming to a closed, but also it's been a long season. I'm looking forward to a little bit of a slower time. And now we're here, and it's the slower time in sports. And I'm like, Can we get football back? Because I'm bored. I'm bored without a lot of football going on at the same time. Like, NBA, fine, Four Nations, whatever. Nascar, I'm a big gear head, so that is obviously keeping me locked in. But aside from that, P's and C's, baseball is going to start in spring Training soon, but let's get to the combine. Let's get to the draft.

[00:02:06]

You know what I mean? The combine is next week. The draft is in Green Bay. We'll be in Tennessee. Maybe.

[00:02:13]

Possibly, right.

[00:02:14]

Maybe. Big maybe on that one. We're working on that situation. I sent some emails today to get some clarification on all of that. I'm staying on top of this. Don't worry.

[00:02:24]

Because you know I'm objecting to being in Tennessee, right? I get the idea they have the number one overall pick, but they also might trade it.

[00:02:32]

But you would rather be in Green Bay? Where would you like to be is the question, because I got another option, and then I was like, Why would we be there? Because that one seems a little ran, New York. And I was like, What?

[00:02:48]

Why? The third pick. The third pick.

[00:02:50]

I don't know the connection. I'm trying to get to the bottom bit.

[00:02:53]

Four and seven, right? Four and seven.

[00:02:55]

Honestly, this is an off-air conversation, but I I wouldn't hate Green Bay. I know that Nashville sounds fun, number one pick, but wouldn't hate Green Bay.

[00:03:07]

Same.

[00:03:08]

It seems like if you're going to go to Green Bay, it seems like this is the time of the year to do it.

[00:03:11]

Right, Mikey, why are you objecting to Green Bay? It's the NFL draft at Lambo Field. How could it get better than that?

[00:03:19]

If we're going to be in Green Bay, I'm all for it. If we're going to be in Milwaukee an hour and a half down the road, just put me in Nashville.

[00:03:27]

Green Bay-ish. Exactly.

[00:03:29]

Exactly. Or are we just going to go back to Troy, Michigan?

[00:03:33]

You're still scoured from that.

[00:03:35]

Yeah. You went to the PNG house eventually after going to the wrong house. That's a story.

[00:03:45]

Danny B, drive faster.

[00:03:47]

Is it a story that we've told on the show yet?

[00:03:50]

I don't remember, but real quick, we went to the wrong house looking for the P&G house to interview a bunch of people. And it... How do I... Okay, there were people living in it, but they did not pay for it, and there were boarded up windows. Yeah, it was a...

[00:04:16]

A house for the homeless.

[00:04:17]

It was a squatter's house. It was a squatter's house. All right. Danny B was parking in front of it going, I'm pretty sure this is the address. I go, I don't care if this is the address. This is not where we're going.

[00:04:27]

Right. Yeah. Did you think the guys, the people that were squatting were draft prospects?

[00:04:32]

No, they were not. All right.

[00:04:35]

One guy had hops.

[00:04:36]

Okay.

[00:04:37]

I saw him leap over the fence.

[00:04:40]

Stugatz, I've been thinking about something that I want to run past you, and I think that maybe you've already thought of this and maybe have already acted on this. Okay, sure. But Tony Basselli, you consider to be a friend, correct?

[00:04:53]

He is a friend, yes.

[00:04:55]

All right. So Tony Basselli now has a very powerful position with the Jacksonville Jaguar. Jaguars. So it would seem, and I'm not saying that all this time you've been friends with Tony Basselli just for the perks, right? But being friends with Tony Basselli and having him come on twice a year to talk about the Jaguars, usually in a meaningless game, talk about the Jaguars, led to you going to Canton, being part of his entourage for the Hall of Fame. And now it has put you in a prime position to have access to someone who's running an NFL team. Right now, we basically have direct access to Tony Basselli, Joe Shane. Spags is a defensive coordinator that you're friends with, but you're becoming quite friendly with a lot of powerful people in the NFL. Yes. And as of right now, all you've really used it for is getting interviews on the show. Now, Jacksonville has a unique situation where where they're also looking for a general manager. So have we inquired about that? Because I know that you've done the media thing a long time. Maybe you go the way a Lombardi and you say, You know what?

[00:06:17]

The media thing was fun. It was great talking football. I wrote a book. He wrote a book. Now let me just oversee an entire organization. He's going to do a North Carolina with Belichick. Has that thought crossed your mind at all? Have to inquired because I feel like this might be a logical next step for you professionally. We talked about this on air. Things may be lining up professionally, contract-wise and stuff like that, where it could be a good time to step away and now just run the Jacksonville Jaguars.

[00:06:46]

Yeah, I have thought about it. It has crossed my mind. Mike Lombardi actually had experience, though, running an NFL team before he got the job in North Carolina. Now, I have GM experience. I do.

[00:06:58]

There you go.

[00:06:59]

I was a GM a major market radio station. So you're asking me, should I apply? Have I inquired? Have I reached out to Tony Basselli to see if I could throw my name to the mix? Because the retirement plan for me before Basselli took this job was me and him doing an afternoon drive in Jacksonville Bill. But now he took this job. He's running the Jaguars. Perhaps I could be his GM. That's a good idea, Billy. I'm going to reach out and ask him.

[00:07:22]

Because I'm just saying, one also, and this may sound crazy. I'd be good at it. How hard is it to the Jaguars. You know what I mean? I feel like there's only one place to go and it's up.

[00:07:35]

Oh, yeah. No, it would shorten my drive by at least two hours. Yes. Yeah.

[00:07:40]

There's only one way to go but up with the Jaguars. You know what I mean? Yes. The bar is You said very low. You have Trevor locked in already. So for better or worse, that'll be your quarterback that you have to build around. But it seems like it's a new coach. Even the coach goes in there, he messes up the Duval. So there's not high expectation. Operations there. Not my guy. Exactly right. Not your guy. If you come in as general manager, you're friendly with Tony, who's the President of football operations or whatever. You have an ally there. You're friendly with Tony Khan, the owner's son. You've met Shad Khan, so you have a decent relationship there. You already have the built-in excuse of, You know what? Not my head coach, also not my quarterback. You have at least four years leadway here to really mess things up badly.

[00:08:32]

Right, yes, but not as badly as the rest of the GMs there. I like this, Billy, because the cons are my friends. I sat with them at Tony Basselli's Hall of Fame introduction. At his enshriement, I sat with them, went to their house afterwards for an after-party. They are wonderful people. Billy, I'm serious. You've got me thinking here.

[00:08:51]

Can I step in real quick and marry these two worlds real quick? Please do. Can we get Baccelli to interview on the show? Can we have Vasili do the interview? I want to hear the questions he asks, and I want to hear how you answer them.

[00:09:06]

Yes, we could try to do that. I'm wondering, though, can you just apply for an NFL GM job? How does that work, Billy? Do we know?

[00:09:13]

Let me see. I'll see if there's a listing on LinkedIn or something because I would think that... How does one apply to be general manager? We really should be asking the Jets because they interviewed everyone and anyone for every opening that they had. Oh, wow. I found Trent Balki's LinkedIn. It has a little thing here that says, Looking for work. Oh, wow.

[00:09:39]

Well, he is.

[00:09:41]

It doesn't. I made that part up, but I did find a LinkedIn that says his name. It could be fake.

[00:09:48]

What are you trying to find? Whether or not the job has been listed on LinkedIn?

[00:09:53]

I'm seeing if it's been posted somewhere.

[00:09:57]

But I'm asking seriously, can I just send my resume in and I get an interview? Or how does this work?

[00:10:05]

What would your resume be? What's your selling point? Then I guess once you get your foot in the door, what is your pitch to run the Jacksonville Jackwart?

[00:10:13]

Billy just said, you got to get your foot in the door. Right now, you can become a seasonal dining room attendant. You get in there, a few years, you never know.

[00:10:20]

A few years. Not a few years. This is the best opportunity. We have two weeks to work with you.

[00:10:25]

We got a strike right now. They need a GM, and my friend is running the goddamn organization.

[00:10:30]

And the other one owns it. The stars are aligning on this, but we also have a meteor that's going to come and hit the Earth in four years. Really, there's no downside to this. I think you might even bring it up with Tony. Be like, Tony, listen, Let's be real here. I don't know if you're checking the news, but we have this asteroid meteor thing that's coming every day. We turn on the news. It goes from 1. 7 % to 2. 1 % to 2. 4 %. It's coming. It's going to hit. Whether we like it or not. The end is near. We're about three to five years away from it all being over, Tony. What do you got to lose? Roll the dice on a friend of yours. I've been here. And then you can even say, and it's not nice, but you can even say, Look, Tony, I was there for you when the Dan Lebitards of the world didn't want to have you on the show talking about the Jaguars, back when you were just a commentator for the Jaguars, back when you were forgotten as a nominee for the NFL the Hall of Fame, who stood up for you like no one else?

[00:11:35]

I've done you a number of solids, and it's time for me to cash in the favor that you owe me, and I'm going to be your general manager, come hell or high water. If it goes poorly, again, meteor's coming, no one's going to remember this, so it doesn't matter.

[00:11:52]

I like the pitch, and I could ask him, Hey, Josh Williams is one of the candidates. Was he at your Hall of Fame in Trimun? Was he there? Did he say anything on your behalf? Did he? Great question. Did he do anything? Did he?

[00:12:05]

I don't know. No, he didn't.

[00:12:07]

Perhaps he did. I just wouldn't know Josh Williams if he was sitting in the studio with me right now. All right, I'm in on this idea. So what do we do? How do we advance it? What's next?

[00:12:17]

I think you need to make a PowerPoint. I'm not sure, but I think you make a PowerPoint. And then I think that you need to walk into your interview with one of those really thick binders that you open Open Up, and it's not just like that. It's like the one that opens up and it has the second open up thing that has the capability of fitting like 400 pages. And then maybe what you do is, and I could be wrong, but maybe what you do is you put in something like... There's two ways we could go about this.

[00:12:52]

I like writing my plan on the binder.

[00:12:55]

Yeah, write my plan on the front binder. Jacksonville Jaguar is my plan or my vision, whatever. Then on the inside, either the first page is a photo of you and Basselli at the Hall of Fame, if you have one. I do. Or if you go a different route and you don't want to guilt him that the way. First page, when you open it up, it just says, I'm your guy. Then all of the other pages are blank.

[00:13:23]

How about a page that reads, Don't make me go to the cons? How about that? You like that?

[00:13:29]

I'm going to do this same thing for that seasonal dining room attendant thing, by the way. That sounded good.

[00:13:34]

I'll hire you, okay?

[00:13:36]

Yeah. Wow. I didn't even think about that. First time.

[00:13:39]

Get the whole crew in. Yeah, wow.

[00:13:41]

We are being selfless here, just saying, How do we get to God? It's GM job. But I'll be honest with you, this Dolphins hoodie can very easily become a Jaguar's hoodie if they employ me. I could just take that right off. My allegiance is for sale. You see that tour right there on the wall? That can be Trevor in In a Jacksonville minute, as they say.

[00:14:01]

Let's not get carried away. Trevor's not our guy, Billy.

[00:14:06]

Hold on a second. I'm not paying to frame a Mark Brunell jersey, okay? Even I have a line. I'm not paying to frame I don't. Assign Mark Brunell jersey. I don't. That's simply not going to happen. I do. If that's the line, I'll wear the hoodie, we're not doing Brunell. If that's the case, if that's where we're doing, I'll just move this slightly out of frame, and it'll live over here instead.

[00:14:31]

Yeah, but be careful because Brunell is Baceli's boy. Like, best friends. Best friends, Billy.

[00:14:36]

I love Brunell.

[00:14:37]

That's my guy. You don't want to insult Brunell. I'm telling you, you can insult anyone, but not Mark Brunell.

[00:14:42]

All right, hold on a second. Let's backI'll track that a little bit. Thank you.

[00:14:45]

Appreciate it.

[00:14:48]

Big Brunell guy.

[00:14:48]

I let it this out. 2026 Super Bowl champion, Jacks Bill Jaguars, colon, the Steugott's plan.

[00:14:55]

All right, hold on a second. I am now going to look up a Mark Brunell Jersey, so I can put it right next to my Chris Sims' jersey. Yes. We're on to something here. Yes, we are.

[00:15:06]

Mark Brunell. Brunell is the key. I'm telling you right now.

[00:15:09]

Well, we should get Brunell on. And then you know what you should do is you should get Brunell on and then have him write you a recommendation letter.

[00:15:17]

I like that.

[00:15:19]

Yeah. Do you have any relationship to Mark Brunell? I don't.

[00:15:23]

I mean, Baceli. That's who I have.

[00:15:26]

Wow. I think I found a game used Brunell Jersey. 475 We're going to go with a replica.

[00:15:33]

Always dirty, his jersey, man.

[00:15:35]

Yeah. This one's clean. This one's $32. He was scrappy. I could dirty it, though. I could go on and take this Brunell jersey into the yard and rub some dirt on it.

[00:15:44]

I can't wait to be the GM of the Jacksonville Jack Wars. Hall of Hypotheticals, next.

Stugatz, Mikey. Yes. Fuentes. God bless football is presented by Smirnoff. We Do Game Days. Please drink responsibly. The Smirnoff Company, New York, New York. So where do we stand on the interview process? Because I feel like we've had good ideas, but also we have more mic be coming up a little bit later today. And we also, I believe, you teased a news segment moments ago.

[00:17:32]

Yes, the Hall of Hypotheticals. You want to start with the Hall of Hypotheticals, or you want to wrap up what we're doing here with Baceli and me getting the GM job in Jacksonville?

[00:17:44]

I'm excited about the Hall of Hypotheticals because I'm curious as to how this works, because this is one of those situations where you and Taylor just running wild and doing things. And, Mikey, I had a long long time together with Taylor recently. We went on a road trip to Daytona, and it was just me and Taylor in the car together. I had four hours of just Taylor time on the way up and about four hours of Taylor time on the way down. I have, I think, figured out Taylor and Stugatz's relationship, and I did so on this drive, and I can break it down for you guys if you want. You can agree or push back on this if you find anything wrong with what I'm going to say. Okay. The nature of Taylor and Stugatz's relationship, I figured out they work well together for a number of reasons, but the main reason is, is Stugatz is really good at coming up with names for segments. Usually, he just throws stew in the middle of the name of the segment somewhere at the beginning, the middle or the end. Somehow, his name name is thrown into the segment.

[00:19:03]

But that's where that ends. It's just, here's a great name for a segment. We'll figure out the rest after we get the name. The name is very important. Yes. And then I found out Taylor is good at coming up with segments, but terrible at coming up with names. It's a perfect marriage because Stugatz can come up with the names, and then Taylor can craft the segment, or Taylor can craft the segment, and then Stugatz figures out how to make it the Stegman or something. You know what I mean? He'll just throw himself.

[00:19:32]

I come up with the name, and he handles the nuts and bolts. Taylor is the steak, and Stugatz is the sizzle.

[00:19:39]

I got you. Yeah.

[00:19:40]

Well, I don't know if I'm the sizz.

[00:19:44]

I don't know if he's the steak either. I'm not sure. I'm not sure about that one.

[00:19:50]

This is the Hall of Hypotheticals, and I would like to turn this, okay? I would like to turn this into a weekly or bi weekly feature. I only have one question for you today because we need imaging, we need to do these things correctly. So I just wanted to gently dip our foot into the water here, okay?

[00:20:08]

Okay. I have good news for you on that front. You say that we still need imaging, we need that. Good news. We already have a sponsor for the Hall of Hypotheticals. It's Smirnov, the world's number one vodka. Please drink responsibly. That was quick. They heard. They said, You know what? Winners and losers. That was great. But there's no winners and losers in the offseason. What can we do? And we said, You know what? We got you. The Hall of Hypotheticals. Boom. Hall of Hypotheticals.

[00:20:37]

Jaguar, quick sponsorship.

[00:20:40]

Sure.

[00:20:42]

What do you mean there's no winners or losers in the offseason?

[00:20:45]

Well, in terms of the segment, we used to do a segment called.

[00:20:47]

This is where the Jets win. This is the only time the Jets win.

[00:20:51]

We're not winning the offseason. Are we winning this offseason? Because I have hope now because we're not winning the offseason.

[00:20:57]

We'll see. So, Mikey, I'm curious. I'm curious, before we get to Hall of Hypotheticals, your thoughts on the Jets and their offseason thus far. They obviously have announced that Aaron Rodgers will not be part of the organization moving forward, and then put out a thank you, Aaron, message. Now, I know Su Gatz's thoughts on this because he has been grumbling about it, said, thanks for nothing, blah, blah, blah, all of this stuff, while also saying, I wish he was still our quarterback. So where do you stand on this situation? Because he was both outraged that he got a thank you And then I was like, he just done nothing. He doesn't deserve it. But I also still want him to be our quarterback.

[00:21:36]

Very close to Sue Gatz is where I stand because- You guys.

[00:21:39]

No, you guys are the worst.

[00:21:41]

What do you mean we're the worst? They're the worst. Don't blame us.

[00:21:45]

He was so bad this year that the Jets, despite him starting every game, won five games. And you know what? He's still their best option for next year. So he's absolutely right. You need to go away. We hate you, but stay.

[00:21:59]

No. So My position is there's no need to thank him. He didn't do anything as a New York Jet quarterback besides come to the New York Jets. And maybe we should thank him for just coming to the New York Jets. But there's no way we should thank him on the way out. Now, he's on the way out. That's not my decision. I don't think he should be on the way out because 18 touchdowns, four interceptions, last 10 games last year. To Mikey's point, we don't have a better option of quarterback. So no need to thank him. And yes, please come back.

[00:22:27]

What do you think if Aaron Aaron didn't come to the Jets, what do you think the last two seasons would have been? Because we got it the first season, where he immediately gets injured, and then you still have Zack Wilson. But if Aaron didn't come to the Jets, do you think that Zack plays out that first season and they move on from him last year? So you're basically a year behind because of Aaron, because you would have probably made the move on from Zack and brought in someone else this past year?

[00:22:56]

Six quarterbacks were taken in the top 12 picks last year. That's the thing. The Jets had the 10th pick. They would have wound up with one of those six quarterbacks.

[00:23:04]

That's the thing.

[00:23:05]

And honestly, all six of them look pretty good right now.

[00:23:08]

Oh, my God.

[00:23:08]

Let's see something.

[00:23:08]

What's up, JJ McCarthy.

[00:23:09]

Billy's checking right now to see who went after the 10th pick.

[00:23:13]

I'm trying to see who you would have wound up with.

[00:23:16]

We would have had our choice of Bo Nicks or JJ McCarthy.

[00:23:20]

But here's the thing. We would have ruined Bo Nicks. Sean Payton turns him into a pro-bowler. We would have ruined Bo Nicks. That's the problem, Billy. That's what we're saddled with. We could have traded up for Drake May.

[00:23:34]

I still can't believe you didn't get Brock Bowers. That seemed like an easy pick for the Jets last year.

[00:23:41]

Who'd they take? I forget.

[00:23:44]

Olufashanu. It's not sexy. Right pick. But anyway, I want Hall of Hypotheticals.

[00:23:50]

Hall of Hypotheticals. Wasn't really the right pick?

[00:23:54]

Listen, left tackle is not a position you want to need.

[00:23:58]

Would you have taken... Would you Would you have taken JJ or Bo?

[00:24:01]

Yes, they would have taken JJ, I bet.

[00:24:04]

Instead of Bo?

[00:24:06]

Yes.

[00:24:07]

Would you have been happy with JJ McCarthy as your quarterback?

[00:24:12]

Sure. It would have been Aaron Rodgers 2. 0. It would have been We got the guy for the future. He got hurt before right as the season started. Now we have all the... Yay, now we have him for real this time.

[00:24:25]

I think JJ McCarthy, if the Jets drafted him, would eventually still be in Minnesota.

[00:24:30]

Let me ask you a question. If the Vikings lose their mind and they say, You know what? We're going to commit to Sam Darnold long term. Let's see what we can get for JJ McCarthy. Would you be in on trading for JJ McCarthy right now?

[00:24:46]

Second round pick, yes.

[00:24:48]

Second round pick.

[00:24:49]

There's no way they give him up for a second round pick.

[00:24:51]

Of course they don't. But I'm not giving them the seventh overall pick.

[00:24:56]

Yeah, that's different. Or a guy who hasn't played a snap. I get it, though, because it's a weak quarterback draft. The two best quarterbacks going to be gone way before seven. So giving the seventh-round pick for a guy, if you think he's just as good as Kam Ward or Sanders, maybe not that crazy.

[00:25:11]

That's what I'm wondering, is you give up your first round pick and get a first rounder from last year, this year. Now, the funny thing is-How about a pick swap?

[00:25:20]

How about a pick swap? Actually, move from what, 26, 28, whatever the Vikings are to seven. That I would do.

[00:25:30]

I actually like McCarthy more this year if you get him for that because he's been in the NFL a year. So he has NFL weight program. He has NFL.

[00:25:37]

So he's like,. But he hasn't walked.

[00:25:40]

That's logic is odd. No, but are you saying this worked out well for- No, no.

[00:25:43]

What I'm just saying is He hasn't played, but he's been in NFL systems. There's no NFL shock value. He's not like, Oh, my God, what is this? He's seen NFL speed not on the field, but he's seen it in practice. He's been around it. He knows what it looks like.

[00:25:58]

Where coming in-And I'm pretty sure he threw a pick six in his first pass.

[00:26:00]

It's a preseason. Who cares?

[00:26:02]

But I'm just saying- If you trade the number seven pick for him this year, his value has increased three spots over the year when he didn't play. Yeah.

[00:26:13]

That's what the Jets would do. Yes. I'll tell you right now, I would give up the first-round pick for Michael Pennex, though. I would.

[00:26:21]

I don't think that would get you Michael Pennix. Just his arm. I think you guys are going to get Kirk, right?

[00:26:29]

Yeah, probably.

[00:26:30]

I hope not.

[00:26:31]

Really?

[00:26:31]

Why get rid of Aaron Rodgers to bring in lesser Aaron Rodgers?

[00:26:36]

I would just stick with Tyron. Give me Tyron for a year.

[00:26:40]

You know what you should do? What is the trap? No, you don't want Jamis because Jamis will be- I do want Jamis. No, you don't because Jamis is just good enough to make sure you're picking 17 next year. You know what I mean?

[00:26:53]

He's good enough to get you 8-9.

[00:26:55]

I think you inquire about bringing Zack back for a year and get yourself the number 2 pick in the draft. You know what I mean? Let's fix this and let's do it with our guy. Zack, come on back. We're going to get the number 2 pick.

[00:27:09]

I don't hate your plan. No, in fact, I love his plan because Coop's coming out. I mean, That's the thing.

[00:27:16]

Arch, but that's fine. Arch.

[00:27:18]

Sorry. Arch.

[00:27:19]

Arch. Jameis is the guy who will have you feeling good.

[00:27:23]

Oh, wow. Maybe you bring in Coup so that he...

[00:27:27]

I mean, we know he can't. It's a manning. He's like 50 years old. You bring in Cooper Manning so that you can draft his son. That's the worst idea. Sorry, Flentis, what were you saying?

[00:27:38]

I don't know. Jameis is the guy that he wins enough games and the team looks good. You're like, Oh, the team looks good. We just need a quarterback. And then that's in life.

[00:27:46]

But also the team looks good enough that you can't draft a good quarterback because he's done just enough. That's the problem with Jameis, is that Jameis is a very average NFL starting quarterback. He's not terrible. He's not a superstar. He's good enough to be your starting quarterback to have you be a wild card team forever. Yes. And then he can get hot and he can maybe take you on a run, but also he could throw four interceptions to get you bounced in the first, right?

[00:28:17]

And we end up with Jackson Dard.

[00:28:20]

After 14 years of no playoffs, I'll take the Saturday game against the Texans every year for a while.

[00:28:25]

Yeah, you're right. I would, too. I kill for that game.

[00:28:28]

Saturday at 3: 00 PM.

[00:28:29]

Yeah, Guys, Hall of Hypotheticals brought to you by Smirnov. Quickly here. Eli Manning, as you know, not a first ballot Hall of Famer. Went two Super Bowl with the Giants, beat Tom braided in the Patriots while winning those two Super Bowl. If Eli won those two Super Bowl's with the Jets instead of the Giants, is he a first ballot Hall of Famer?

[00:28:53]

Wow. Absolutely. Absolutely. Not even a question.

[00:28:58]

You might be more of a Hall of Famer. At Cleveland. Yes.

[00:29:05]

Yeah, sure thing.

[00:29:06]

Hey, you sold that car yet?

[00:29:09]

Yeah, sold it to Carvana.

[00:29:10]

Oh, I thought you were selling to that guy.

[00:29:13]

The guy who wanted to pay me in foreign currency, no interest over 36 months? Yeah, no.

[00:29:20]

Carvana gave me an offer in minutes, picked it up and paid me on the spot. It was so convenient.

[00:29:25]

Just like that? Yeah. No hassle? None. That is super convenient.

[00:29:30]

Sell your car to Carvana and swap hassle for convenience.

[00:29:33]

[00:31:18]

How'd you feel about the- A lot of pressure. How'd you feel about the Hall of Hypotheticals, Billy?

[00:31:23]

I liked it. I think we could do more. We did a It's quick, quick, quick version. We just had one boom, and then we just flew through it. I think we can do more with the Hall of Hypotheticals. I think maybe it also needs a little pizazz, a little steak, sizzle situation, as Mike Yee would say. You know what I mean? Yeah, I do. Did you guys see, and Mikey sent this to us before we get to more, Mikely, did you guys see that the Athletic did a story, and it was about NFL players and their houses being broken into, and The person that they interviewed for this piece was one Robert Goon.

[00:32:06]

Get out of here. They found Goons?

[00:32:10]

The name on the quote was Robert Goon, Rob Gronkowski assistant during 2018 house breaking. Housemate.

[00:32:23]

Housemate, they wrote.

[00:32:25]

His name. Yes. I didn't think that this was a real name.

[00:32:29]

Together.

[00:32:30]

Bobby Goons, I thought was a nickname, and I thought his name was Bobby something else. His name is actually Robert Goon.

[00:32:41]

Bobby Goons.

[00:32:43]

They can't be two Robbs in that situation, so he becomes Bobby. That became very easy. This wasn't a thing of like, Robbie G. Sure. Well, they'd both be Robbie G, which would be even more confusing. Crazy, yes. Imagine Grunk having someone around him with the exact same nickname as him. It'd just be way too confusing, which also, if we're going to be honest, is probably still very confusing because all of his brothers are the Gronks. We can't have all of the Gronks and then two Robbie Gs at the same time. It's just a lot. Plus, his dad's name is Gordie, and his brother's name is Gordie. There's just a lot of things going on there to cause confusion. So it becomes clear why it is that Robert Goon became Bobby Goon. But also, his last name actually being Goon, surprise of the century. Shocker. Not I can't believe that that was real.

[00:33:32]

The fact that they called him Robert Goon, it makes him sound so official like he's not the guy that we know. He's Bobby Goon. He's not Robert Goon.

[00:33:41]

Robert Goon and Bobby Goon are totally different people. Come on, man.

[00:33:46]

Robert Goon is my dad. That's a Bobby Goon.

[00:33:48]

Yes. If your last name is Goon's, your first name has to be Bobby, right?

[00:33:52]

I feel like he does. But his name is Goon, singular. They made him Bobby Goon's plural. It's crazy.

[00:33:57]

He's only one Goon.

[00:33:59]

Robert Goon This is a CPA. It's crazy.

[00:34:02]

Bobby Goons is on the corner.

[00:34:03]

Bobby Goons will kill you.

[00:34:05]

Exactly, yeah. Bobby Goons comes to collect.

[00:34:08]

With a smile, though. What a lovely man in person, Fuentes.

[00:34:12]

Robert Goons is a housemate. Bobby Goons is a roommate.

[00:34:15]

Robert Goons keeps the numbers. Bobby Goons runs numbers.

[00:34:17]

You would agree the first time he comes to collect, he's smiling. The second time, not so nice, right? Yeah. Smiley Goons.

[00:34:27]

Don't make Robert turn into Bobby.

[00:34:29]

When And we would hear the stories of Bobby Goons and the things that he would have to clean up for them. I couldn't read that story seriously with it saying Robert Goon. When Bobby Goons was out there talking to the cops in Massachusetts, It made sense. Goons, they're out there running around. Again, they're doing donuts on people's front lawns. He's like, I got this officer. Don't worry, I'll clean it up. And then they had to re-saw the neighbor's lawns. That's not what a Robert Goon is doing.

[00:34:56]

No. As Fuentes pointed out, he's doing your taxes.

[00:35:00]

Yeah. I can use a tax guy, by the way, if we're going to be honest. If you're a tax person out there, let me know. It's tax season.

[00:35:06]

Robert Goon?

[00:35:08]

Didn't love my tax person last year. You did, huh?

[00:35:10]

Robert Goon, CPA.

[00:35:11]

If you have Bobby Goon, do your taxes. I mean, go on.

[00:35:15]

You're straight to jail.

[00:35:16]

Jail is coming up, probably.

[00:35:20]

You're going to jail. I'm sorry. The FBI is on the lawn. It's over.

[00:35:23]

Bobby Goons or Robert Goon? Let me not disparage. I was going to say Bobby Goons or Robert Goon is the name of someone, not him, obviously, who would never do it, but the guy that during COVID, they found out, Oh, if I start a small business, they could send me $40 million and no one will notice. And then they all got caught.

[00:35:41]

Check out these loans.

[00:35:42]

Ppps. Are you saying you call Robert Did you say, Have the tax return go this year? He said his response is seven months federal prison.

[00:35:51]

It's going to be some guys coming to the house with suits on.

[00:35:53]

I got you seven months this year.

[00:35:55]

Good news. I got you $10 million, and you're like, Bobby, I didn't make anywhere near that. How did that... How's that? My return is like, Well, in exchange for that, though, six months out the rest.

[00:36:09]

I take it.

[00:36:11]

For that amount of money?

[00:36:12]

I mean, the 10 million is waiting for me on the other side?

[00:36:15]

Well, and I don't know this is a fact, but I feel like if you're the GM of the Jaguars, you could do that remotely, right? I hope so.

[00:36:25]

I'm not taking the job unless I can. There you go.

[00:36:28]

Okay. All right. Sorry. More Mike Lee. That guy is way off talk. By the way, also, it's just a fun announcement for me. I'm going to be doing some college baseball games this weekend. Well, I guess just one college baseball game on ESPN Plus. If you're out there and you're interested in watching an FIU College baseball game, I'll be broadcasting on ESPN Plus. Pause up. My return to ESPN.

[00:36:49]

Pause up. Pause up. Are you doing play by play or what are you doing?

[00:36:53]

I'm doing color. Okay.

[00:36:55]

All right. You're great at that, though.

[00:36:57]

We'll see. I actually scheduled call with the other broadcaster. I'm like, Hey, let's get on a call because I want to give you a heads up of how this is probably going to be going.

[00:37:07]

You're going to hate me by the bottom of the second.

[00:37:10]

A hundred %. It's just a call to set up like, Just so you know you're going to hate me, it's coming. I don't want you to be surprised by this hatred. I want you to be mentally prepared for the journey we're going to go on together.

[00:37:27]

This poor guy thinks he's getting Robert Goon, and he's getting Bobby Goons.

[00:37:31]

Oh, 100 %. Bobby Goons is coming to this game and this broadcast, and this is one of at least five that's scheduled presently. Wow. Buckle up.

[00:37:42]

This poor guy.

[00:37:45]

He's like a recent college grad. I think he went to Syracuse Broadcasting. It's like, hate to tell you, Syracuse Broadcasting School, great. They didn't prepare you for what's coming.

[00:37:56]

Right. New House School did not prepare you for Bobby Billy Goons.

[00:38:00]

For Billy Goons.

[00:38:01]

Can we have the voice of the FIU Panthers? Can we have him on next week to break down his relationship with you?

[00:38:10]

We may not be on speaking terms by then.

[00:38:13]

You have four more games, though.

[00:38:15]

I know.

[00:38:17]

You have to communicate. We'll figure it out. Do you know his name, this kid?

[00:38:22]

Yeah, I know his name. His name is Zack.

[00:38:24]

All right, let's get Zack on next week.

[00:38:25]

Can we try? All right, maybe. We'll see.

[00:38:27]

If you're still on speaking terms. All right, let's get to Mikey's game. That's awesome, Billy. I'm happy for you. I'm not happy for the voice of the-No. I'm just too mad for it.

[00:38:39]

Poor Zack. To my understanding there's also a former player that's going to... It's a three-man boost Oh, wow. I'm really going to have some looing way here.

[00:38:48]

Wait, which former player? Do you know yet?

[00:38:50]

I don't know. It's not Mike Lowell. I know that.

[00:38:52]

That's the only guy I was thinking of.

[00:38:53]

It's not Mike Lowell. All right. You know who was there a couple of years ago, Stugats? I went to a game. Joe Girardi. I think his son was on the team, and he was just hanging out at the stadium. Yeah.

[00:39:06]

I used to see him at the local Starbucks all the time, just hanging around, waiting for someone to offer him a job, and they did.

[00:39:12]

That's not what he was doing. You're disparaging the man. Did you almost buy his house just because you saw it was his house?

[00:39:20]

Yeah, he lives in my neighborhood. I almost bought his house because he has three no hitter balls right in the front, prominently displayed. But they don't come with the house. No, but I was trying to negotiate it into cost of the house.

[00:39:30]

Everything's available. You're right, sir.

[00:39:32]

If you're going to leave it out there, it's available. I mean, he's got three of them. I mean, my God.

[00:39:38]

Anyway. When I looked at my house-He plays closing. When I looked at my house that I live in now, in this exact room, when we did the tour, this was like, I don't know, this must have been an office also. They had a Brett Farve mini helmet signed, but it was a Viking's mini helmet. I'm like, That's cool. I wonder if they'll just forget that. But I obviously didn't think at the height of COVID, let me negotiate in an autographed mini helmet that I saw on the tour because why would anyone think this is something that's going to be a deal breaker or not?

[00:40:11]

A Viking's mini helmet.

[00:40:13]

Exactly. Viking's, too, of all things. I mean, at this point-He had a great year, though, Favre did.

[00:40:18]

He did. It was the NFC Championship, right?

[00:40:20]

He did.

[00:40:21]

Bad time to be in the Brett Favre collectibles business, I would think.

[00:40:26]

I know, but this is what me and Mikey keep telling you, Billy. Favre left the Jets and took the Vikings to an NFC Championship game. That's why we're worried about Aaron Rodgers. He'll do the same thing to us. Not because he can, because he's doing it to the Jets.

[00:40:40]

But Zack Wilson didn't take the Broncos anywhere. You're right.

[00:40:44]

Bo Nicks didn't. They should have drafted Bo Nicks.

[00:40:47]

But Zack also may be coming back next year. I hate them.

[00:40:52]

I love that idea. Let's get to Mikey's game here, please.

[00:40:56]

Well, on that downer.

[00:40:58]

Exactly. Don't sound so excited. Why are you talking Jets.

[00:41:00]

There's no way to get excited, man.

[00:41:04]

All right. More Mike Lee to pick first in the NFL draft, the Titans or the Field. Wow.

[00:41:15]

I got my answer. I'm telling you right now, we're in Tennessee, and the Titans trade that pick.

[00:41:20]

I hope that happens.

[00:41:21]

I'm just warning you guys. Why do you think it's on here?

[00:41:24]

Why do you think this question is on here?

[00:41:25]

Ever since Stu put it out there, I'm more convinced than ever that they're going to trade that pick.

[00:41:29]

Well, But they can't trade too far down. The only way that you trade, I think, is if you trade- Maybe to seven? Dude, I would just trade to the Giants, three to one. But even that is an unnecessary trade for the Giants because one of the two quarterbacks will still be there if the Titans even take a quarterback.

[00:41:49]

I don't think they will. You have a chance to get a generational player in Travis Hunter. So I'm going to say the Titans to answer your question, because why not draft that kid? At Well, he's right. You don't want to trade too far down because you run the risk of someone else taking that kid.

[00:42:04]

You could also trade a few down and get a dual Carter.

[00:42:08]

Yeah, you could move. If you're convinced on another year of Will Levis, you can move back a couple of spots, let the quarterbacks take and still get Abdul Carter and gain some more stuff later.

[00:42:18]

I know, but you're Tennessee, you're boring, no one cares about you. Then you get Travis Hunter, and suddenly everyone cares about you.

[00:42:24]

But you're not a Travis Hunter away.

[00:42:26]

No, you're not an Abdul Carter away either, to be honest. Right. So you might as I'll take the guy who's got more appeal. I think Tennessee. Yes. That's why it's Billy's favorite game. I'm not certain we ever answer a single question. It's a good game.

[00:42:42]

I'll say the field, even though I don't think it's... I don't think it's going to happen, but I'll say the field.

[00:42:47]

All right. More likely to be a starting quarterback next season. Jameis Winston or Daniel Jones?

[00:42:53]

Oh, wow. Hold on. I have a question. Is it on a fill-in basis or this is our starter? Are injuries involved?

[00:43:04]

No.

[00:43:06]

So a team has picked one of these two to be their starter opening week.

[00:43:12]

Okay. They're the starter opening week, whether you want to call it based on injury or not, but it's not like a one-week filling in week nine because of a hamstrick.

[00:43:21]

This team has declared this person their starting quarterback to start the season.

[00:43:26]

I hope the Jets get Daniel Jones so badly.

[00:43:29]

You stole my thunder I see him as a Rater. Daniel Jones?

[00:43:39]

Sam Darnold, the Rater. Listen to me. Listen to me. If Tom braided, genius football mind who's now taken the reins in Las Vegas and is calling all the shots, settles on Daniel Jones to be his starting quarterback. One, everyone will be like, he sees something. He must be right. But also, what an idiot, if that's the decision that we make. This team needs Daniel Jones to lead it. I say Jameis Winston.

[00:44:12]

I say, unfortunately, Daniel Jones, and not to the Raiders, but I actually believe he might be the jet starting quarterback.

[00:44:18]

Oh, no.

[00:44:21]

Yuck.

[00:44:22]

What a sad franchise. Sorry, I asked that one.

[00:44:25]

Thank you.
