[00:00:35]

All right, bang, bang. Welcome to the Day Part II show it is Episode nine. Dave, how are we feeling today?

[00:00:41]

A little tired, Eddie. Little tired well, here, what's what's the plans here, so the weeks wrapping up, you're not going to be in the office next week. You're going to recharge a little bit.

[00:00:51]

We're flying going to Miami after this. Look at that first show, like a 10 day trip.

[00:00:56]

No, no, no. Just for the weekend. I give you back a big week. But it you know, things are weird because the Philly house, we're coveted. So you're not supposed to be there with like you're not supposed to multiple households. So it's scheduled D.C. to be live streaming and breaking the rules. So you get a little warm weather, keep this tan going and keep it going. So, yeah, I mean, but I am exhausted.

[00:01:19]

So I'm tired, this is like Thursdays, I kind of wrap up the week now, I haven't had you know, I was live streaming last weekend for like 100 straight hours doing the Masters, all that.

[00:01:30]

So I haven't had much time off, really. I'm just tired.

[00:01:34]

I do feel like this is the light at the end of the tunnel, though, because after football season, you kind of clear up. There's no college football show, no pro football show, so you'll be a little better. Are you guys doing pickup again for.

[00:01:45]

Are you going to launch more states and we're just going to attack any attack, attack, attack like that? I like that. Well, speaking of attacking Dave, we have a title sponsor. We have is presenting sponsor. Yeah.

[00:01:56]

And let's make this very clear. We went through that whole do to do right with that which with a CBD company that bailed.

[00:02:06]

We said there were idiots. This show's doing really well. I saw the podcast numbers on this, I was like stunned, like they're pretty big if I don't know what you don't think.

[00:02:16]

You're an interesting guy. People want to hear what the funniest statement understatement. Yeah, I don't know. It's just so but I mean, I'm.

[00:02:26]

This this is doing well, and if I understand the CBD guys were like on BFE two, which is like the number one trending podcast on Spotify right now, and I took talk and people really do what you do, you dummy.

[00:02:42]

I took my hand. I just put it around to Clark's throat.

[00:02:46]

And now all these tick tock stars don't make moves until they hear from me.

[00:02:52]

I can't decide. Like, I think it's twofold.

[00:02:55]

I think there's an element that you're really good for these kids and there's an element that I'm terrified that these kids are going to learn from you for for in some aspects.

[00:03:04]

No, listen, Eddie, we keep it real with these. They're normal. They come across as likable because they're used to not saying anything. They open up and we get some you know, I don't I don't know what the audience thinks, but I don't even care about that.

[00:03:16]

It's like, hey, why is he doing tick tock? It's like, well, we got to get past all into the tick tock world. I didn't. I didn't just come into the ticktock world, I stormed into the ticktock world, so things are going well and the more the story CBD, I think it was sports or both those shows probably got in at a bar, a bargain basement rate, because we hadn't established a baseline. And then they got, you know, the nuts tickled a little bit or their balls hurt and oh, we're oh, we don't get great marketer.

[00:03:45]

But Boo Boo, Steve Ché. I talked to Steve. Jay, like Steve Jay, you see these numbers coming in on these pages? Yeah, pretty fucking big.

[00:03:54]

He's like, we got people now calling me, like, off the hook to be a title sponsor. Yeah. Like I said, Steve Ché, like, you know, don't buddy me, I'll buddy you. So long story short, this actually came straight from the desk of Erika Nardini, straight from the desk.

[00:04:11]

And she was sending emails about them.

[00:04:13]

She she was like the salesperson's last CEO. What are you looking at, Michaelangelo's?

[00:04:17]

Oh, no, I was just going to say the email she let off with Hey Buddy to everyone. Yeah.

[00:04:22]

And here is what I've heard about these guys, is tazers strike like Taser palls. Plus these are the pros who are promoting the Taser strike like a high powered flashlight that can repel an attacker that. What is that noise? What's that noise? The Taser pulse, plus the same person device used by law enforcement, so they're like, you know, personal devices, Eric is like they love you.

[00:04:47]

They're not going to they're not going to pull a CBD in me, like, oh, say it this way.

[00:04:51]

They're like they are in on the Dave Pawni brand.

[00:04:54]

And I'm going to be honest, at first Erica told me it's like, interesting. I've never really thought of Tasers. It's not necessarily my speed, but what are you laughing at?

[00:05:04]

It's not that Taser is not necessarily your speed. I've never I've never, like, carried a Taser Taser device. Yes. Yeah. But here's the thing.

[00:05:14]

I should start carrying them. I that's what I'm thinking. I'm going to pull this full circle. Can I pull full circle all it bullet. And this is this is the mark of it's not even that big of a stretch.

[00:05:23]

People who follow DTG like my you know, the day trading. I've been long on Smith and Wesson forever. It's been one of my store. It hasn't performed the way I thought it would, to be honest. But why? Because if you haven't noticed this kind of a chaotic time in the country, you know, whether it's political, the climate or whatever it is, streets are different.

[00:05:46]

Cities are different.

[00:05:47]

And that's why I was like, get Smith and I fucking hate guns. I don't want carry a gun.

[00:05:52]

This this the tasers carry taser. No need for gun. Karatas tase somebody ass.

[00:05:59]

There's something going on in the streets.

[00:06:00]

So it's actually if I can invest in tasers, if I can invest in the taser strike lighting the taser pulse plus on DTG, I probably would because it's fucking crazy times out there on the street.

[00:06:12]

So it's the perfect product. The Taser strike like a rechargeable high intensity flashlight that repels attacks. I assume you just put it right in your eyes, Eddie. That's what that sounds like.

[00:06:21]

This here's the thing, Dave. Here's here's here's one that also has great use for little Stollar. Rest in peace. Great dog. Why do we go there? Because I'm saying walking your dog. Think about walking her dog. Coyotes are a big deal nowadays. Yeah. You know, so you're going to want to protect your dog. You wouldn't be able to fight off a coyote, Dave. You would. There's no way you would be able to do it.

[00:06:42]

So that's why you got your taser, your Taser weapon here. And you could take care of it that way.

[00:06:47]

Yeah, and it. They have a note here, like my dad, that a pulse plus his home defense, like for elderly parents who don't want to have a gun. Shut up, Mike Portnoy.

[00:06:59]

Listen. I will never say anything about any product that's a lie. My dad can't use a Taser. He won't be able to figure out the Taser himself.

[00:07:07]

So the Taser is not good for my dad either, but for basically everybody else it is. So to get your Taser device today, go to Taser dotcom, use the promo code barstool for 15 percent off. That's Taser dotcom promo code BASTABLE 15 percent off. Please note a limited number of states require a permit to use can't be purchased in Hawaii or Connecticut. So it actually makes sense. It's a great thing to have for safety for girls, guys, everybody, especially right now.

[00:07:36]

So go check it out. And even if young.

[00:07:38]

Yeah, it's a great gift. Give it to someone. It's actually a great gift to give somebody the holiday season. So Taser dotcom promo kabasele, 15 percent off title sponsor. They love me, love, love them back then.

[00:07:51]

Who made this? Michelangelo. Who made the sheet?

[00:07:55]

I did not make it. I we were we were sent this. I never understand this. Do not do not use tasers or Taser as a verb. Do not say taser without saying device or weapon after it.

[00:08:08]

Please do not use the device or reference it for use in Jackass Smitti Ebonie type fashion.

[00:08:13]

So don't say any of that. We won't. But why do you put stuff on. I never sent. Don't eat your vegetables. I wasn't gonna eat the vegetables now that you say don't eat them, I want to eat them, maybe it's a legal thing. I don't know. Well, we just those are the do not do nots.

[00:08:30]

You're right. OK, but go to your account. Keep yourself safe. It's that simple. But they're not the only people that were looking to get into the day. Portnoy business. There was other people to try to get a piece of the action. We want a taser, but I feel like we should still hear these people out. Maybe do like a mini big brain here. You like that?

[00:08:47]

Yeah. I mean, if this serious. I don't wanna waste my time, I don't like people, everything stays free, I mean, my my DMS now everyone all can I work and I do this and blah, blah, blah.

[00:09:00]

Yeah.

[00:09:00]

I get my Dems are crazy. Feste, I bet we're we're we're later. We're up and there's interesting to hear about what someone if someone responded or not.

[00:09:10]

So we'll hear pitch No. One. This one's from Dave. Here's a product called Jimtown. So what.

[00:09:17]

We're actually doing it. Yeah, we're getting married to a couple. We'll see if you like them or not. And we'll be like, hey, all right, put that particular file. Let's maybe bring them out, OK?

[00:09:25]

Yes. Product, local live music finder app.

[00:09:29]

The only app for finding socially dist. live music events can offer 100k. Be prepared to leverage a sizable portion of equity to whoever is willing to help rebrand Jimtown to help save our struggling industry.

[00:09:41]

I don't get it.

[00:09:43]

So it's probably a way to know how many people are in a concert. So if you should be able to go or not, I guess dumb hadit stupid.

[00:09:52]

I mean, you can't be coming out with covid products when the vaccine is like 10 seconds away, right? And I'm not saying ten seconds, but they're saying by the end of 2020, they'll be a decent amount out. By the end of 2021, they'll all be out. So I don't know what the hell this guy's talking about. And what do you mean? Like, I don't get it at all.

[00:10:12]

It's a terrible idea. And that's how this game is going to go.

[00:10:15]

I don't think we have much of a future right there. Yeah. Do you like that idea? Here's my thing.

[00:10:21]

As far as concerts, I don't really. I was thrown off, so we Erica was in town earlier this week and apparently. Did you know the flight industry is projecting that they're not going to have a year like 2019 until 2025, even with a vaccine?

[00:10:35]

Yeah, vaguely. I know they said I don't it's crazy.

[00:10:38]

I don't agree with those projections. No, no. I think there's going to be such pent up demand to travel, fly all that shit. I think people are greatly underestimating. So, yeah.

[00:10:49]

All right.

[00:10:49]

That's if you don't if you don't believe in that, though, you wouldn't believe in people not wanting to go to a concert because a lot of people seem like a crazy, borderline counterintuitive way to decide what concert you're going to like. Let me find the concert and the bands that nobody wants to go to. So let's go find the shittiest bands because there's nobody there. Hate the idea. It makes no sense to me.

[00:11:11]

All right. Let's go to a guy named Elliott.

[00:11:13]

And by the way, young people don't give a fuck about covid like I'm going to Miami and I in for the most part, I won't be able to tell that Govan's going on. I won't.

[00:11:23]

Correct? Yeah, sure. And then the people who are going to the Elton John concerts and, you know, young people go to those two probably are going to download the app, right?

[00:11:31]

Yeah. It's an interesting I don't want to go into covid rant, so I'm not going to you.

[00:11:37]

You've done a lot of those Allio pitch number two, Crispy Pig is the name of the product. That's Bloody Mary.

[00:11:42]

And I can gross gross, you know, like that on a it's like drinking tomato soup in a can.

[00:11:51]

I mean, it's just it strikes me as gross the. Are you familiar with this word, Accouterment. I'm not that's like the shit you like it goes for, and hopefully I'm pronouncing it right like an accouterment would be, you know, the Sellery, the all of the garnish on a Bloody Mary.

[00:12:10]

It's the extras that's very important to a Bloody Mary.

[00:12:16]

I wouldn't even want a Bloody Mary in a glass of it's just not accoutrements. Do you have it, Michelangelo?

[00:12:22]

I don't know how to read pronunciations, but you're right on the definition of it.

[00:12:28]

Kurama Yeah. Accouterment That sounds about right.

[00:12:31]

Yeah, good point. I don't like when people get too much with that, though, you know, they'll put like a full burger on like a stick into the Bloody Mary. That's. You don't want that either. No, you don't want the full burger.

[00:12:40]

But I mean, celery in an olive is basically mandatory.

[00:12:45]

Oh bacon. Yeah.

[00:12:47]

We have Kevin here. Kevin is with William Stoker and he and it's a commercial HVAC contractor. We need some backing here.

[00:12:54]

Dave, that's AC. Yeah, he does it. He wants to pitch. He said it's the company makes millions. They used for these things for Chevy. So that's good.

[00:13:06]

They supply parts to somebody that's just a buy the company. What's his exact pitch? Michelangelo pitches.

[00:13:13]

He would like to formally apply for a PPD Portnoy Pixie Dust presenting sponsorship offer and life makeover. He's he wrote a lot. Below are some reasons I believe you can transform our business and life for 100K and provide content.

[00:13:29]

I could go into the reasons he wants. Oh, these guys.

[00:13:32]

All right. So these guys won't be ever so. I mean, listen, I don't want to take people's money that I can't get behind.

[00:13:38]

So this is just a commercial air conditioning company. I mean, I believe in air conditioning. I believe in being ice cold at night so I can sleep. So I believe in it.

[00:13:47]

So if they can keep a room frigid, I'm all in on that.

[00:13:51]

He does say he could pay the fee or work out an equity deal. No, no, no. Everyone and their grandmother wants equity deals. Everybody.

[00:14:00]

Hey, if there were rumors that you were a hot hotel room guy. I do you know, that's not true. I don't know, I went up to your room that day, and I know, I know and I remember now that you're bringing it back. It is an absolute well-known fact that Dave Portnoy, if he opened a hotel, he'd call it AC and water pressure. I frozen out almost everybody in this company at one point or another.

[00:14:26]

I like it ice cold. It can't get cold enough for my taste like I would sleep outside if I had enough blankets and it could keep quiet and, like, not be afraid that, you know, things happening around me.

[00:14:41]

I hate that there's a lot of these hotels are happening now. Have you noticed that? It's crazy.

[00:14:45]

They put sixty five sixty fives. The cap. It's nuts. Taufel I was I stayed at a place in Vegas and I like call dancing. Hey, it's not it's not cold enough. So that's as cold as it gets. It's going to freeze everything over if we, if we get any crazy.

[00:14:58]

I don't know if I told you when I went to Lexington, I stayed at a hotel. It was a Hilton kind of old Hilton, but a Hilton and it was fucking hot. I couldn't sleep. So I called down like the seasonal work and guy comes up. I knew he knocked on the door.

[00:15:13]

He's carrying a fan like a window sill fan I knew was dead in the water. I was like, why does the technician have a window sill fan?

[00:15:23]

So he's like, if I can't fix it, you want to spend like, no, dude, I don't want the fan.

[00:15:27]

So I move rooms because it didn't work.

[00:15:30]

I didn't like the new room, moved hotels, packed all my shit up and just went to a different hotel. That's how important AC is to me.

[00:15:38]

I will not let AC beat me. I there's very few things that absolutely. I'll go to the end of the earth to fix.

[00:15:46]

AC and bad Internet. You know, and that fan, you're right, that fan is the kiss of death, you see that? It's the Grim Reaper. It's like he's been this complaint's been issued like a thousand times. So he's bringing he knows he can't fix it. He's going to just throw his glove out on the field, go through the motions, bang it a little bit. But he brought the fan.

[00:16:07]

And where do you think that fan was? That was in Freddy's boiler room downstairs behind blankets and shit.

[00:16:13]

You you it was my heart sank when I saw him with the fan. I was like this this. He knows you can't fix it. Why else bring the fan?

[00:16:21]

No, you can't have that. Well, that's that's a power move. I would say they have to just check out and go to a completely new hotel. Oh yeah. That's that's you know, that's a great move. Speaking of Lexington, that's actually a big part of today's show. We do have the owner of Goodfellows Pizza on. They have nine locations. It's one of the most infamous pizza reviews, maybe the infamous pizza.

[00:16:43]

It's by far the first peace interview I did with Goodfellas, the zero point zero. I said it was a zero point zero heard around the world by far.

[00:16:54]

The most talked about pets have you ever done, and I'm closing in on a thousand of them, but I mean, they shut down, they retrain their staff, they made shirts.

[00:17:03]

It's a Goodfellows zero point zero. There are rallies held at the place. There are people threatening me, people supporting me. The time I went to Kimlin, which is where I was back for the Breeders Cup, somebody that I tried to fight me that like, why are you fucking, like, trashing Keila? I mean, it was it was a big deal.

[00:17:21]

Big deal, the whole you went back and like I said last time, you felt last week, I didn't want to get into too much because I knew this guy might be coming on. But you looked uneasy when you did the re the redo.

[00:17:32]

Yeah, well, you never know. I mean, I knew was a big thing. I thought the owners played off pretty well.

[00:17:37]

The guy who did the that way.

[00:17:41]

You know, I've never spoken with him. I've never spoken with the owners. They didn't know I was going back.

[00:17:46]

So it's curious to hear their take on the whole thing. Yeah, for sure.

[00:17:50]

I mean, it's he said it like rock their world and, you know, I'll let him get into it. But he was pretty interesting when I was just kind of get into the pre discussion here.

[00:17:58]

So before we get into that, though, Dave, let's talk about Black Reifel coffee. Get your day started like a patriot. Black Reifel coffee company is serving premium coffee to people who love America. Founded by veterans, Black Reifel Coffee is about giving the freshest cup of coffee to the greatest country on Earth and its citizens.

[00:18:17]

Can I talk? Yeah, that's like the cue to you, yeah. I didn't know it was a cue to me, so I actually had a little do to do with these guys at one point.

[00:18:26]

Oh, no. People are very angry at me because during the boxing they sent me. A gigantic box, I mean, I actually thought I didn't know what it was. I think it just had black rifle on it. And I thought they sent me a semiautomatic, like I thought it was a gun. I mean, it was this huge. It looked almost like a casket. It was nice. And then in it, it was just coffee.

[00:18:50]

And during the height of the unboxing, I was very, like on edge. But it's hard for me to get rid of that.

[00:18:58]

So it takes up so much space. It was super heavy. Might give you a fucking sun coffee. And by the way, I was like, no more coffee. I was on a very big no more coffee cake. I'm like, we have a coffee sponsor at the time, everyone. And there are certain things in the unboxing protein coffee, like they just every company was just doing it. So I went through it took me maybe like. I won't say 15 to 20 minutes, the unbox this thing, and again, I thought I was going to be like a semi-automatic rifle and it was just coffee like you fuckers.

[00:19:31]

I said, no more coffee. This thing's too big. Well, I didn't know what it was. And people like those are veterans.

[00:19:37]

Your fucking fucking with veterans. No fucking idea. So I'm glad to see they're back because we always support those causes. So they clearly look past. I don't think they were mad.

[00:19:47]

I was like I didn't know who they were. I got a million things I didn't know. I was mad that I had to open something for 20 minutes when I'm bleeding out of my fucking dick, doing this thing literally like pain, suffering and waste. Time is so I am glad they're back giving me a second chance because I am a huge veteran guy. And look at that right now. Since 2014 of an Hafer Matt best of combine two passions developing premium coffee and honoring and supporting those who serve on the front lines.

[00:20:15]

Black Reifel Coffee Company has donated over 45000 pounds of coffee, or over one million cups of coffee to soldiers deployed overseas. Wildland firefighters on the West Coast, medical workers during covid-19 just in 2020 alone. And by the way, is fucking huge. That was the other thing that I was getting when I got all the coffee during the unboxing. I had way more than I could ever do. Front line workers covid all then give us a coffee.

[00:20:41]

We need the coffee. I run on coffee. Dave runs on well, maybe some black reifel coffee. So no reason not to support these guys. Go to Black Reifel Coffee Dotcom. Use the code. Dave, check out the freshest coffee in America. They spend thousands of hours tasting, sourcing, perfecting different coffees from around the world, roasted by veterans for People Love America.

[00:21:05]

I love America. Black Reifel coffee talk. I'm use called Dave gets you twenty percent off coffee apparel gear as well as twenty percent off your first month of the Coffee Club. So get Coffee Club to partner discounts.

[00:21:18]

Never on a coffee Michelangelo. Because our sales staff I, I'm going to stop bashing them and stop bashing them. All right. I'm not going to bash them ever again. In the next five minutes.

[00:21:32]

I wrap the coffee that I have.

[00:21:35]

But if you're if the show is sponsored by coffee, maybe give me the coffee of a company that's supporting us rather than have me walk in here like an asshole with a competitor. Coffee. Now, people at home have to be wondering, does Dave get unjustly mad at our sales staff? Hey, we have a new sponsor, black rival coffee. They love America. I love America. I love the veterans. They love the veterans. He's walking in because he doesn't know who the ad is with the direct competitor to the sponsor.

[00:22:06]

People who know me know I like to support the people who support us, but I'm sitting here like a dickhead with a competitor. Coffee that I will never drink on this show ever fucking again. If people get me the black rival coffee, I'll drink that. And only that if they're the sponsor my show.

[00:22:24]

How much of this is on Stephen J. Who does he have anything to do with this? Get him in here. Get him in here. Get him in here. I'll get somebody.

[00:22:36]

I'll get them. All right, Stephen, she will get them. We'll have it next week, but I will get him. Besides that split, but I mean, I don't mean to be a prick in, like, do it for over the top. But if you're a sponsor, if you're Black Reifel coffee and I'm sitting here with the fucking competitor coffee while I'm reading your aunt, you like what the fuck kind of shit show these guys running over here, aren't you?

[00:23:02]

I would be fucking furious. I'd take the blame for that.

[00:23:06]

I apologize. I should have had the I should have known get Stephen change. I just deemed him chitchatted him.

[00:23:15]

I don't really think it's Stephen's fault. I just want to fault. Is it? I don't know. To be clear, I don't know whose fault it is. We have black rival coffee here.

[00:23:24]

I got some sad to me. So I assume you got some now you get a lot of shit so I don't know.

[00:23:30]

And I didn't know Black Reifel was the fucking ad sponsor until I sat down. We've had them a week before last week, not it wasn't last week was a couple weeks before, but I was reading those at that time. Now that you're we're integrating in the ad reads.

[00:23:44]

So I'm trying to make advertisers get a bang for their buck where they're clawing each other's eyes out. And I love fucking coffee and I love America and I'm drinking. People can be at home like, oh, is he doing this? No, I'm not. Why would you advertise with us coffee and have me drink other coffee? Well, I'm talking about how great your coffee is, is what I fucking. Do you think it's easy at this place?

[00:24:13]

It isn't. Mike, are you going to get him or no? Yeah, I'll go grab him. Well, I mean, if you him what's he doing breaking down Buck's film, he'll get it.

[00:24:23]

OK, besides that, Dave, we do have another new advertiser before we get to Alex from Goodfellas. And it's in the pizza vein. It's with Slice.

[00:24:32]

Yeah. So I know all about those guys. These guys are the app for pizza delivery. They've been around for a while. I've had calls with them, so I'm not looking at the ad read right now and I'll read it after and see what their bullet points are.

[00:24:45]

But essentially most of the delivery services like the post made and door dash they take, they take cuts, you know, big cuts of orders. It's OK if you're ordering higher priced items, pizza places get murdered. It's like a flat fee.

[00:25:06]

So if you're ordering, you know. Chinese for whatever it may be in your bills, 20, 30 bucks versus like 10 to 15 for pizza, the pizza places get murdered.

[00:25:16]

So they they developed a delivery service for pizza places. They only deliver pizza. They take less of a cut there for the pizza parlors themselves. So if you actually support local business, local pizza is you got to order to slice. We've also partnered with them. So it's the official delivery partner now of one bite so you can do it direct through the app. We want one bite and slice it the only way you order pizza. Basically what I just said, we have an updated map on the one bite app so you can see the places that have slice in your area.

[00:25:48]

It's quick, it's fast. And the most important slice works with 14000 local shops.

[00:25:54]

Save local pizza is 200 million in fees. So you can now order a slice using one bite out in the one bite app if you don't have it, one bite thought up.

[00:26:02]

I use it even if oarsman is the best place, the best way to find good pizza, no matter where you are, because the stories go in, they put real recommendations, real scores. It's almost always on use a promo code.

[00:26:13]

Dave, that's my name, David.

[00:26:15]

Don't wear it out for three dollars off your first order.

[00:26:17]

Download a slice delivery app, use code Dave three dollars off your first order because sometimes you just want pizza.

[00:26:24]

You're going a straight pizza place. A lot of these places are like combos. If you use Google, you're not going to get it. So go use the one bite at.

[00:26:30]

Correct. And they're not real reviews are these are real reviews. So that's I mean. Yeah, that's true too.

[00:26:36]

Sorry. Well, we'll wait for Steven Shay, but if not, let's actually just chat us.

[00:26:43]

I did. I texted him now as well. He's we get a text and do I have.

[00:26:50]

All right.

[00:26:50]

We could we could just throw him a zoom link here. Well, son, I'm asking him right now.

[00:26:56]

I just said I fucked it up. I just said, are you ducking me?

[00:26:59]

I said, Hey, buddy, are you ducking me?

[00:27:03]

I just, you know, we just I like to integrate. Okay, so that's he's he's a good point man between all the stuff, you know, I'd be curious on his answer.

[00:27:11]

He considers football my it's inexcusable what just happened and what's going on. And I'm not going to like, ruin the show by not drinking coffee. I need it. Here he is. Did you only come in because I said you were ducking me? Yeah, hey, buddy, take a seat. We have a question for you. And I don't know that you're going to be able to answer it. So Stephen Jay has entered the building. Team player is wearing his bucks belt, Hofstra Flying Dutchman.

[00:27:48]

Hoodie, bar, stool. All right, so Steve, we had a little and I made a vow never to roast the salespeople again. OK, I did for five minutes.

[00:27:57]

But so I just want to know how this goes down, who you would say.

[00:28:02]

And maybe you may be like, there's nothing wrong with the way this went down, but I'm trying to be like gung ho for these advertisers.

[00:28:09]

I want if you come in on my show, roll out the red carpet. I want to do the best reas. I want people to support them, buy the product. I want them to turn around at Thanksgiving dinner and be like, you know, the best decision we made in this miserable 2020. Get in bed with the day before and I show I'm trying to do that. I told you that. I told you. That is right.

[00:28:27]

So I have this ad here from a company, Black Reifel Coffee, and I know exactly who they are. And I gave a whole back story and I'm reading it.

[00:28:36]

And then I go and I take a sip of this.

[00:28:40]

I'm reading Black Reifel Coffee. And I'm drinking a competitor of theirs. Well, tonight, is there a brand on that? Oh, yeah.

[00:28:50]

OK, so I wrap it like this and I went on a little rant being like Schnitz. I know that Black Reifel has come in to the Dave Portnoy Show. Interesting that I only drink Black Reifel. I love America. I like their coffee and they're supporting me.

[00:29:09]

Of course I want to support them instead of me drinking and Péter while I do their Adoree, because I know if that's me and I'm the advertiser, I think what is this fucker doing reading our ad and then using a different product?

[00:29:23]

I think that's a great point. So whose fault is that? That this went down like this? I mean, you gave a look at Michelangelo. No, no, no, no, no, no. So whose fault is it? Let me ask you a question. Yes. The email you got with the ads, when was that sent? I didn't look at an email. I never look at emails.

[00:29:42]

Well, I mean, I guess so. The process I'm not looking at my calendar for any blame. I'm looking at the camera, the process for sending ads as we send them the week before. So I guess there was an exception with this show because of the presenting sponsor that I sent last night.

[00:29:58]

I texted Eddie to make sure everything was good at that, but didn't send didn't I say I may be losing my mind? I think I already said I don't read emails like I need someone to walk in or call me and be like, this is on is big. I thought I said that in the last due to do.

[00:30:16]

You did. But let me be clear. So be clear. Steve Ché. Yeah. So we're talking about a presenting sponsor and a liveried. So you want to be alert of every liveried because these are sent to you in advance. I could I don't know about liveried, but there has to be some element. That Dave walks in with coffee every fucking time he does the show. We now have a coffee. To me, that's who I don't know whose client this is and maybe we're not set up like that, but somebody has to be like we got to make sure this is something that he's going to be using in the show.

[00:30:53]

He does it 100 percent of the time. He drinks coffee. Right.

[00:30:56]

So we had this a few years ago at HQ, too, with XCOM. Correct. And we had to kind of make sure everything was in lockstep.

[00:31:05]

Like I had a different coffee sponsor. During DTG, you and I had a refrigerator full of it and made sure I had it, I knew it. I only drank it. Yup. Where did this go wrong? And even if I did read the email, is it then on me to be like, well, then what?

[00:31:27]

I've got to place an order at a spider? Right. I saw this thing. Can you go run out and, like, make sure, like, I don't have it?

[00:31:35]

I don't think, do I? That would be one where I'm looking in your direction. Have we Michaelangelo has on the record that he fought for those at home. Steve Cherry looked and he says that's a Michelangelo and I do not have it now.

[00:31:52]

I should have. No, no, no, no.

[00:31:54]

You should not seek it out. That is wrong. He shouldn't seek it out. I believe someone sent to here and or. And he said he got it. OK, so it should have it should be in both locations and I will track the person down who is responsible for getting it.

[00:32:13]

Who is that? We're doing this again. Yes. I'll have to see exactly who's you know, it is C.J., you know who it is, they can't see your face. You're wearing a mask.

[00:32:29]

Who is it all I know? Who is it? I'll have to see whose client it was. I think that it was the same team as last time. And then I'll I'll check in on that to make sure the same team as.

[00:32:43]

You did, yeah. That that was not their fault. That was not their fault, that was an internal thing that.

[00:32:52]

I mean, I talked to Eddie after unless Eddie boned me last time with that oh, buddy boy, he said, what did I do to you, Steve Euphonium, while you you dog walk to me and he boned you.

[00:33:05]

I guess that's fair.

[00:33:09]

What did I do? Steve, I want to know. I'll track down. Well, the original is the complaints weren't coming from the way this broke down from the CBD company Kouros. Internal complaints. I wouldn't I guess you could say there were complaints. All right, fair. There were notes. And my job is to argue these guys, the big advertiser, black rival. Within barstool, like total dollar amount at the moment, no, but they certainly have that potential.

[00:33:40]

They've been in a few of our shows before.

[00:33:42]

Got it. OK, maybe that's it, maybe they're not spending the dough that kids I love them to be because I love what they stand for and I'll take this coffee to the fucking moon if I can get my hands on it. They're going to love this, we're going to go we're going to be there again, there are veteran company yupp myself and Black Reifel. Do they do stuff with I assume was there a blog?

[00:34:03]

There have been an Zebedee before. Yeah. So we're going to go shoulder to shoulder and we'll go on the field and we're going to attack our own sales team and we're going to bring this coffee to the moon.

[00:34:12]

But I need the coffee and I don't know where it is or who has it. You said you didn't get it.

[00:34:16]

I OK, I'm not. It might be in this office right now. It might not be. I know. I'm certain Eddie got some. I would think that it would have been sent here as well.

[00:34:26]

It's almost like this team doesn't know what I do. Like, I'm a coffee guy. I rarely am walking around without a coffee in my hand. I, I, I think on this show last week, Irene Kevin out for not having enough coffee for me.

[00:34:41]

Hey, are you know. Here we go. There we go.

[00:34:46]

All right. OK, ok. OK. You typically only drink one brand of coffee. If someone were to walk up to you and say, hey Dave, here, drink this.

[00:34:55]

What would be the odds, life, that coffee? There's there's two that we've worked with, I can drink them both, but I like I can drink. Good coffee, any coffee? That is good coffee, Black Reifel, I've had it. I gladly drink, I don't have it, or maybe I do have it, I don't know I have it. And you've been to your credit, you've been amenable. We spoke last night briefly about another Denon coffee beverage company for a different thing.

[00:35:24]

And you were totally game for it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:35:27]

But I mean, the point is where they spend a nickel, ten cents, whatever it may be, anybody with a brain is going to be mad about advertising. You having me drink competitor. True, yes. I will be one stand for it if I was the average. But we're going to fix it. They're going to listen to this be like they've got our back. He's ready to you know, I'm not he's a word war because I don't use it lightly.

[00:35:52]

But he'll go to war for our coffee. You're going to work for the veteran, right? Yes, yes, bailing itself, correct.

[00:36:01]

Are you OK being the liaison? You know, Steve, you know who's going to end up winning out of this one? Sales, because it's going to turn into a bigger deal. Yeah, I agree.

[00:36:10]

Sorry, what was that?

[00:36:11]

Are you OK being the go between here whenever there's a problem with sales? Yeah. I mean, that's my job. Correct. So, yeah, of course I am.

[00:36:19]

And I'm comfortable saying anything to Steve. I like Steve. I don't. Which was incredible to me. The name that he finally dropped, I don't know who that person is. And if we walk down the street, he slapped me in the face, like, who are you still? I don't know who it is.

[00:36:33]

I don't think ever introduced themselves or which to me, wildermuth. But maybe this who knows?

[00:36:41]

Well, thank you, Stephen. Like I said, I'm not going to ever because sales is a hard job. I get it. I've done sales. And you don't want the talent, like doing Rippin and saying this and the Taron and all that.

[00:36:53]

You don't want it, but. I'm just doing it to help because this this could be a big deal. He spent a lot of advertising and it fits perfectly with everything I stand for. So. We'll get there and inherently, you know, you're obviously not ripping the prisoner and you're endorsing the brand. This is all good for black coffee and sales. Yeah. So, yeah, we appreciate it. I'm I'm trying out here doing great.

[00:37:18]

Thank you. Given Alex Cooper run for a money best Slattery's in the game. I've been reading my dick off.

[00:37:23]

We have it. The show has been we've been doing the show for half an hour.

[00:37:26]

It's just been at my note. I what call for a great job on Thursday for an ad show because Steve said he's shoving more ads in the show.

[00:37:37]

He's he's drowning us in the these sales folk. They can sit there and, you know, we need more stuff to sell. And how long have we been doing this? And the BFS and I bet those little sales eyes are starting to open, like, oh, maybe Dave Guy knows what he's doing over there because these shows that didn't exist three weeks ago are certainly like picking up steam and we can maybe make some more money and pay for a little Johnny's Christmas gifts and things like that.

[00:38:03]

So maybe maybe it all comes together. Yeah, yeah. You know, you're doing CBD guy.

[00:38:08]

They probably I said they had a bargain basement price probably for me and BFX and now they're just sitting there with the dicks in their hands. Probably, yeah, right. Oh, man. All right, now, the Goodfellows guy, Alex, you feel he's been waiting backstage for like a half hour or so?

[00:38:29]

Oh, I didn't know you weren't on time. I thought, oh, no, no, no, no.

[00:38:33]

We're good. All right. We're good. So, yeah, let's get let's finally get to Alex from Goodfellas and then he'll be on.

[00:38:41]

And did you could send it to him now, Mike. OK, what do you think about Frank the tank as well next week, Dave? You, your dad and Frank.

[00:38:50]

Thank you. What did my dad and what do you think about doing for next week's show on Tuesday or whatever?

[00:38:58]

Well, do your dad and Frank tank a Thanksgiving special?

[00:39:00]

That'll be funny. All right, the link just sent. How big is BSF of this show's doing that good? As the latest sheet I saw had the potential to be of, oh, really, I don't know if it's specific, but they were both like. They're not like, obviously, my take or or call her daddy or chocolates, but it's right, it's like below those two, it's as big as anything else. I mean, BFX is hard because BFX is also like getting three to 400000 on YouTube, we just posted a clip, the clip that had like two hundred and fifty thousand on YouTube.

[00:39:44]

What do you from this show? When we were talking about the Dems last week, I have fucking the tick tock guy.

[00:39:50]

Fuck me. My tick tock guy put. The pictures that I sent to you, you must have sent them to somebody. Me. Yeah, me, yeah, you. I said that. Hmm, what did they put out there? Well, he put the tick tock sometimes my guys don't get this very different audiences, like I was comfortable with you having it and I was talking about laughing at it. But then when you put, like, the tick talks about three something, do I get both on tick tock, which is like a 15 year old audience.

[00:40:21]

It makes me look like a fucking creep.

[00:40:24]

And like, I'm trying to get like this is so I had deleted like I didn't even like I saw it after it was up. I'm like, who the fuck put that up?

[00:40:31]

Did you put it in the clip, Mike, or. No, no, it wasn't. No, no.

[00:40:36]

The Dems are never like anywhere except then they showed up on talk to me personally.

[00:40:42]

I sent them to you and Michelangelo.

[00:40:43]

And that's the only people I said I sent them to Austin, but I told him not to. He asked for them and I told him not to use any of the photos.

[00:40:52]

He just he put them in, blurred the photos out.

[00:40:55]

But it like I'm not trying to, like, talk about DM's and like it.

[00:41:00]

Chick talk is a very you have to understand every every platform. Social media is very different. The age group is very different.

[00:41:09]

And tech talk is not where you're like all three. Someone fucking DM's. Yeah.

[00:41:14]

No, no, no. I like I showed to you and Mike. That's it. I don't know. And my main thing was like, you got to ask, like if you're going to do that, like how you need to ask me before it goes up so.

[00:41:25]

And one of the White House to its poster no, it was posted by us, Austin posted it look like I posted it myself, like, hey, look at me like girls, Dmae for like, oh, it almost to me, someone who really didn't like me or didn't get what we did is like Dave's trying to get like 15 year old girls to, like, slide his DMS on tech talk.

[00:41:46]

Oh, that's not good. Correct. Gotcha. Are we recording here? Yeah, I'll cut it off.

[00:41:54]

No, it's it's not part it's not part of the show. But this is good episodes stuff.

[00:41:58]

I think actually, I don't think I mean, do what you want with it, but it doesn't have to be cut out.

[00:42:03]

There's like insider baseball and you don't have to be an insider insider baseball. Yeah, we got to go. Alex, how we doing, whatever they doing any good, how are you good. This is Alex. Nice to meet Alex. Are you doing good? Hey, listen, I so we could kick it off.

[00:42:24]

We're joined now by Alex. He's the owner of Goodfellows. Alex, welcome to the show.

[00:42:31]

Thanks. Thanks for having me. Thanks, Eddie. Thanks, Dad, for having me.

[00:42:34]

No, I'm glad you came on. I appreciate you coming on. And so we've got four people at home. We've never spoken. I've only seen the reactions of everything from that pizza of you that I did, obviously, that I think I said everybody.

[00:42:50]

It was the most read.

[00:42:52]

Most reacted to pizza. And I've done a thousand of them when I gave it zero zero and I saw the reaction. Now, keep in mind, I had already done a Goodfellas. I think I had already done the Cincinnati one, gave it a fairly good low score and then went into the Lexington one. Everyone knows what happened.

[00:43:10]

But I'm curious. I know my version of, like, watching everything, what from the inside are on your end, like, I'm curious to have you take me through. What was your perspective on the whole do to do? It was a tough woman. It was very tough. I want to tell you a little bit about Goodfellas and where we came from, what we how we got to that point and how we just saw the whole house of cards falling.

[00:43:37]

OK, go get my business partner. Buddy from high school started Goodfellas about 14 years ago. Just some high school buddies had a an idea to bring a slice in New York City to little old Lexington, Kentucky. We're surrounded by a bunch of college bars, a bunch of late night establishments. My my family, they're all Italian New Yorkers, my mom's side of the family.

[00:44:01]

So that's where the whole New York style pizza bought a slice came from.

[00:44:04]

Very familiar with what good New York style pizza is. So we wanted to bring that to Lexington.

[00:44:11]

And we did didn't really anticipate anything. You know, we did this thing for five years and then it really started getting popular, started growing another one. Then we went up to the Cincinnati area. Then we wound up doing one in Indy and came back to the distillery, one where you were at. And it was wildly popular. And we've won best pizza in Lexington.

[00:44:34]

For multiple years, and we've got a really good following down here, so that night that you came down, it was pretty crazy because I heard, you know, I'm going to rewind real quick. We knew you were in town for rough and rowdy. We're like Dave's in town. Of course, you watch all these pizza reviews were in the pizza industry.

[00:44:55]

We've seen them all. So I was like, guys, we really got to prepare. This guy could stop in any time, Dave. He'll just pop in. You don't know. I told our general manager, I told her like operations manager who's in charge of all these? No problem, boss. We got you will be good. Well, our friend who was running shift that night patio, Pete, as everyone calls him, he was kind of taken a little off guard that evening.

[00:45:23]

And I want to kind of tell you the back story on the whole. Cameras on my patio type deal, we had had a lot of problems with people coming in our big distillery, we're in the boiler room of a historic distillery. People were bringing in products, shooting camera videos of products, selling their stuff unannounced.

[00:45:46]

And we had a staff meeting a couple of weeks before about people coming in with cameras, taking high school photos, all these things unannounced, not they announced themselves. And give us a little bit of heads up. Pretty casual about it. Come on down. You know, we want you to come down, enjoy the space, but just don't bring, like, you know, your retail stuff and start shooting away and try to sell your stuff. So that was kind of the announcement we came down here.

[00:46:09]

You can't let that happen again. It's been a problem. So there's that now. We did one hundred percent. We own the slide. That's the worst slice I've ever seen. I was absolutely taken aback when I saw you holding that.

[00:46:24]

That is not what we do. But we did hear that that night that you came in and there was a problem and they told me that you got kicked out, so I don't know if that was when you were in town.

[00:46:36]

You're in town, I guess, from the weekend, from rough and rowdy. You also came in maybe on the weekend, maybe Sunday night. I don't know.

[00:46:43]

And we heard, you know, we've got a problem, boss. He was in and he wound up getting kicked out. I was like, well, at this point, I haven't seen any video. All I did was review security footage. And I was like, man. But I was like, well, maybe they're not going to show it, you know, because it was so bad and, you know, it's not going to happen now.

[00:47:04]

Sure enough, I'm sitting down with my, you know, my family getting ready to have dinner and my phone just starts going nuts. Bing, bing, bing, bing, bing. I said, what the heck is going on? I said, Oh, no.

[00:47:15]

I mean, you know, Yelp and Twitter and everything was going crazy.

[00:47:21]

And I was like, oh, no. And I just remember. You know, hold my head and I was like, what the hell are we going to do about this? And I got on the phone with Boggs, my business partner, and I was like, man, we've got to respond to some of this stuff. It's coming in by the tens of thousands. Like, what are we going to do here? I mean, just the review, review, review.

[00:47:42]

So we got to hit them back. We got to we got to do something and it was we didn't really know what to do. I think we were getting ready to go to. So there was a baseball game, I believe, and the Yanks were playing the Sox. We're huge Yankees fans. I was like, this guy's a gambler, you know, we love our horses down here in Lexington. Let's gamble a little bit. Let's see if we can get a little stoke the fire a little bit.

[00:48:11]

Cedarville at least respond to us. But obviously, at this point, you're pretty pissed. So I was like, let's bet and see if he takes the bet. Well, I'm glad you didn't take the bet because I think Yank's lost like 13 to one.

[00:48:24]

Or is that something that was actually offered to me? Yes, did I respond, I remember, or you guys were in the basement or whatever, your Facebook feed, your live feed, you're like, look at this, these guys are getting killed right now.

[00:48:39]

You know, they just everyone keeps showing the phone and. So we're like, let's let's tweet at him, let's say, hey, put some money on this game right now if if. Our Yanks beat your socks. Give us another shake, give us another shot, and you're like, what is this? These guys are over here trying to gamble.

[00:48:59]

I don't have any recollection of that. You're positive? I saw that. Knew it was real.

[00:49:05]

Yeah, we are. I was like, well, that was kind of a dumb move, but yeah, you just kind of brushed it off. I remember watching the live feed. I'm like always going for what's he going to do. And you just you all just kind of shook it off. You guys just shook it off. So I don't even remember that.

[00:49:21]

I mean, I know from my perspective, I was actually want to release them, like, am I going to come across as a dick here because I like spirit in. The thing that I. If I look at that review, the one thing that I think and by the way, I went to I think the breeders know I was to something in Queensland and some Queensland people thought you guys fucked Goodfellas and they were actually defending it. The thing that the people who are on my side, it was his motion.

[00:49:52]

It came like when he did that, whatever that was like, struck a chord with people being like, that guy's an asshole like that.

[00:50:01]

If he didn't if like, he was almost like, give me the pizza, bro. So it was like the way he interacted with me. Now to his defense. And it is a loose defense. I was there was a group in the back who was yelling at me like so I was doing it and they were like yelling across. And for people who don't know, it's a huge pizzeria, it's a distillery, and it's a lot of outdoor space.

[00:50:26]

It's beautiful. And there are people far away yelling. And I'm like, it's cold. It's a cold slice. And it was ice cold. So for him, I was like, maybe he just heard that it's like this guy's an asshole and doesn't always doing yelling about cold slices. But once he went.

[00:50:42]

That way. The that that is what swayed it, but I always and if people follow the pizza views and what we do like my goal, I did feel better like this guy. It's like small business. That is not what I'm trying to help more than anything. Like we really at that point, even if I don't like the pizza, I try to couch it now. I'll be against whatever and I'll give like a mediocre score. But at the same time, like what it's like we do put everything out.

[00:51:10]

Like, that's just kind of my nature. It's like whatever happens, it's unscripted. That's what makes it, you know, and I, I don't remember the bet, but my take on how you guys handled it was you kind of wore it like you have the t shirts that had the double zero on it. You did shut down to, like, just say you were. Yeah, exactly. So I thought you guys handled it.

[00:51:33]

Really, as well as it could be handled. I had no idea it would spiral like it did, and there are people on both sides.

[00:51:39]

You had the local look like Lexington community, like there was the line around the corner supporting you. So it took all different angles.

[00:51:47]

Hey, I just want to say, never hold back on your review. You know, we own that zero all the way on that pizza and then the service that that's and patio Pete, he wanted to send his apologies to say, hey, that's not what we do at Goodfellas. You know, we do handle a lot of drunk people at two o'clock in the morning, three o'clock in the morning, and they get a little rowdy. So we've had to kind of you know, that's that's just what we deal with on a regular at all of our locations where an urban environments, we're in downtown Lexington, downtown Cincinnati, downtown Indy.

[00:52:22]

And, you know, it's it gets kind of rowdy on the weekends.

[00:52:26]

So he just missed. Did he just missed a memo, Alex, because you said you sent it out. You're like, hey, you can pop in wherever. But, hey, we also don't want people shooting shit like the Wild Wild West or what? Where was the breakdown?

[00:52:37]

Oh, absolutely. There was a miss on the memo. A, I don't think anyone really went the step of checking out what you do with these reviews. And our management, I think might have just put out a little blast to our staff, but they either didn't read their blast on their phones or they just blanked. I don't really understand what happened at that point. I said make sure the pizza is money all night long for this. Next week he's in town.

[00:53:09]

I said, hey, it should be like that for every customer, every time. But, I mean, that was that was the biggest fail of all time for Goodfellas. And that's why this this shirt is a reminder to us. Like I mean, our staff wears it and they own that because that is not ever going to happen again. And that's really what that shirt meant to us.

[00:53:30]

And that was kind of why I do the pizza views the way I do. A lot of people always ask, why do you give a heads up, do call ahead and obviously is gone big. So people 99 percent of the time, if I'm traveling now, it is it is what he's saying. People know him in the area. So they're waiting because if you have a well known pizza place and I'm in an area I haven't been, it's 100 percent guarantee I hit it.

[00:53:50]

We have our list. We hit them all. But the reason I don't call ahead is I don't. And it is even harder. People will see me and they'll make me wait for like twenty. They redo it. But I want the slice that anybody is have ever the pizza. I want it cooked.

[00:54:05]

How they don't know. So. When did clearly they got this guy, and I do feel I can't tell. I asked in the last year, like, does he hate me? Does he hate me? Well, let's just say his life's been a struggle for the last couple of years, we say he had to go into the pizza protection program. We had to relocate the guy. He was you know, he became a celebrity, really. People would come in and say, oh, that's the guy.

[00:54:33]

You know, it really blew up it. But I do want to say that the kid and he was twenty three years old, running the shift of a staff of twenty five thirty on at that time. And so he had been with us a couple of years and had earned, you know, the ability to manage that shift. But the kid is a hard worker. The kid is put in time, he and that's why we stand behind our employees.

[00:55:01]

He's screwed up. He made a horrible mistake. Everyone was like You should hang this guy. You should fire him. You should. I'm like, what about all the work that this guy's done for us for the last two years? His commitment, his devotion, his hard work. No, Goodfellas, we promote within in every single person that bust their ass that works hard. They get the next shot. And that's how we've run since the beginning.

[00:55:23]

Me and my business partner, we built the first one by hand. We work that store for five years. That's that's who we are every single time.

[00:55:30]

We believe that the hard work gets paid off. And that's why we stood behind this kid. We did have to relocate him, but he got another opportunity to move up within the company. So that's the story of Patio Pete.

[00:55:43]

And like I said, he just he just kind of he wanted to, but he knew better than to come on. This one just didn't know what the aftermath would be.

[00:55:52]

Yeah. And I, I that was my instinct because I knew he got relocated because enough people tell me and even when I redid the review and hopefully because I don't like I don't know, the guy hopefully didn't make it worse.

[00:56:04]

A lot of people like I knew I saw him in Cincinnati, but when you guys didn't get rid of him and relocated, I kind of figured that was so. I respect the move because the easy thing is just to be cut bait. But it's a much bigger move, like he actually went to a different location.

[00:56:18]

And if anything, clearly all his mannerisms in that one just came across like, what, a douche bag. And I'm not nobody knows him. It was his mannerisms.

[00:56:26]

But in a weird way back, Dave, that's that's what you do. And that's what everyone respects and appreciates. Man, he was a dick.

[00:56:35]

And in a weird way, though, I'd rather he was trying to protect Goodfellows as opposed to just sitting there and like, OK, I'm not doing it.

[00:56:44]

So he was almost, you know, doing too much. So it it was an interesting story. It's been one of the wild reviews. And it was crazy when I walked in there the last time. It just figured. But those kids sitting on the bench and like, oh, we're doing a book report on, like, how it went down last time.

[00:57:02]

Yeah, that's how it went down, how we responded. I've taken probably half a dozen interviews I've set before the Education Board for Kentucky to tell them how our story on how we responded to a a very viral and bad social media situation. So that kid, by the way, I do want to just say we appreciate it greatly that you did come back. We had a feeling you might. We're a horse, guys, down here, we're bourbon, horses, basketball, and we let them know.

[00:57:36]

But just really appreciate you giving us a second shot on that one. Yeah, it was a no brainer.

[00:57:43]

It was one of those things. Even I had no clue. Like the Veraldi, we do them all the time. I knew it was a different one.

[00:57:51]

I knew was unique. I knew what happened. I almost was more like, do you know when I was spit out?

[00:57:56]

But it's what we do. And I I knew you guys knew us in the way you handle it. I like I always thought I was out there doing the right moves with the shirts, with with retraining in the support and all of it.

[00:58:09]

But it it's what makes people trust and like the pizza reviews because we don't edit it and you don't know what the hell's about to happen. And it was just one of those moments, even the lighting in it, the time that I went, it was almost like just getting dark and then in the way the light shown on him when he did it, everything was just I remember Frankie show me.

[00:58:31]

He's like, you're going to have to watch this. Like, you're going to have to take a look at the way it came out. And it was even the way, to be honest, most ninety nine point nine percent of pizza reviews. We can't get kicked out because we walk out the front door and we're on a public street. The way the distillery, the Goodfellas, you have to walk into private property. So I don't like doing that.

[00:58:54]

In general. There's a reason we go out the street. We don't want to be on their property kind of for this reason, not because of that, but it's like you're not supposed to film on other people's. But the way your property is set up, there's really no other way to do it. So it was a unique circumstances, yeah, it was it was the perfect storm. Hey, you know, we've got a refrain, people from coming in with video cameras.

[00:59:18]

You know, he was probably, I don't know, having a bad day, came out, was kind of defending it. He was probably insulted at that point. It clicked, hey, that was the guy. And we just gave him the worst slice we've ever given anybody. Perfect. So now he's upset. He's scared to death. You know, he comes out. And what else is he going to do? Well, now I'm going to kick him out right now.

[00:59:38]

That's your solution?

[00:59:39]

Yeah, it was a while then. So it's business good. Now everywhere. Yeah.

[00:59:44]

Businesses. So I want to if I can talk about the response on that and how it really did just rally all of our locations. We'd like I said, we've got a pretty good following. We've been doing this for 14 years, started in Lexington and but when that hit and I remember being up all night reading, reading, every review, every comment there. And I was like, well, it's that's it. It was a fun ride. Thirteen years on ride, it's over.

[01:00:16]

It's done. And then I remember laying in bed at like five or six o'clock in the morning saying, well, now get your ass up, get back to work, handle this, do what we do at Goodfellows and that's work our ass off. So we got back in the office the very next morning. We came up with the idea for the zero point zero using the O's and we said, we're going to embrace this, we're going to learn and we're going to put something out that a says that's not what any customer gets at Goodfellows.

[01:00:46]

I don't know whether it's Dave or not. Not one single customer should have that type of treatment or that type of pizza. So we're going to apologize publicly and we're going to go silent. And while the news channels here took it, they're like, do you want to do an interview? We're not sure as like, absolutely. I would talk about my business all day long and then I'm going to own it, because that's the only way that people can actually know you're serious and know it's authentic, that you own a mistake and you move on to correct that mistake.

[01:01:19]

So we had lines at our Mill Street, which is the original ones, only six hundred square feet. There's not a seat in the joint. So they lined up down the block at that one. They lined up at the distillery, our Cincinnati, our Andy. We had lines out the door. It was it was kind of nuts because there was all this hate coming in from all these people because we kick the press out, which I did.

[01:01:43]

And but there was our side.

[01:01:46]

They're like, no, we're going to rally behind these guys because we know these guys. We really know the owners. They're in their shops. This is not what they do. We're going to go by the hell out of pizza, I think. Are we increased 70 percent or something for the next day.

[01:02:00]

There's also the element of like who's the city slicker?

[01:02:05]

Because I'm like from Boston. New York is like, you know, I'm coming to Kentucky, your area. I'm just like trash. And it's like, who the fuck does this guy think he is? So there was definitely that vibe of, like, we're not going to let this guy come in and do that to like a local business, which is great.

[01:02:19]

Like, I, I was happy for it. Like I honestly was like, it's like, what am I going to do here? But so I was happy with the response because and by the way, I knew was good pizza because I'd had it before. I just got an ice cold slice.

[01:02:32]

You said it was a Rocky Balboa story and that's exactly how we approached it. We're like, I didn't hear a bell get up, go to work. Or you can sit around and mope all day about this. And we got up and we got back to it.

[01:02:44]

So how did Paddy Opie take it? Was he like dust?

[01:02:48]

He was like, I mean, I man, I'm Italian. Like, I came in the next day and I was throwing shit. I mean, and all of my people were just watching me lose it. And then it's like, OK, it's time to go.

[01:03:01]

And we all all of my upper management team, our our marketing girl, we all got together. We after everything calmed down. But Patio Pete was like, well, that's it, you know, and he probably just went and got another job. But when we talked to him or like, look, man, shit happens. You know, we've we've got you on this one. It's bad right now. This will blow away. I mean, it's a I don't know, twelve month.

[01:03:27]

We still get reviews, like, seriously, it still goes on. But, you know, he thought it was done. He was just going to go find another job. But I think it really showed him our character on how we stand and encourage our employees to just bring it bring it one hundred percent every time and we'll stand behind you. And while he was trying to protect Goodfellas and his employers and made a mistake, we saw it is just a mistake.

[01:03:56]

So we stuck behind him, but we we had to relocate. It's quite a story.

[01:04:02]

It's a story for every business. One little thing, it's like. I mean, there's no way to predict. To be honest, I would have said if I was looking at other than that motion to me, the bigger if I was like if I was in your shoes and it's neither here, the bigger thing, like, why are we giving out, like, ice cold slices? That would have been that would have been my first. Is the pizza like how did Werther's, me or anybody.

[01:04:23]

Some, some take it but a simple like you want warmed up.

[01:04:26]

That's, that's a challenge. Any restaurant. So restaurants make mistakes all the time, it's how you own it. And then say Mister customer, what can we do to make it right. You know, you're the one that pays our electric bill. You pay our rent. Why don't you get to just say this is not acceptable to me and we make it right at that time. But that's the the fallout with social media. Right. People are scared to just come up and talk to you face to face and you handle it right then and there.

[01:04:51]

They want to go get behind their phone and then just bash people.

[01:04:55]

And we might have went over the top to fix the situation, but we didn't have that opportunity because you just didn't come up to us and talk to us like the humans. We always say, you know, let a human fix the problem. Don't don't talk to your phone. Right. And it's always a challenge at the restaurants.

[01:05:14]

So last question. We'll let you go. Yeah, this is a hard one to come up with. If you could go back in time, would you still have the review go down like it? Did you think it's been overall, like like you said, the support? Everyone knows that or like no chance that was like it.

[01:05:31]

Would you have it still happen?

[01:05:34]

Well, we always play. I don't really regret anything that happens, we learn and I would say to answer the question, no, I mean zero point zero, the worst pizzeria in the country. I mean, you know, how many people come in just to check it out. And then it's crazy because if you go back one year in time, it was the candy store. By the way, you're an indie with McAfee. You're up there.

[01:05:57]

I was indie and you gave eight point one. You said you were a proud dad. We were like, hell, eight point one. Good. I still think you was high or whatever. Yeah, we always strive for ten years. Every time I said that I knew I had been there.

[01:06:11]

I knew I like the pizza. I liked it when I went last time. I just. Yeah it never even got the score out. So.

[01:06:17]

So no I wouldn't change it now man that was a stressful time. It was really bad. I thought the business that we had worked so hard to build and we had six local seven locations at the time, I thought it was done seriously. But when you see that type of just rally from your real customer base and, you know, it's great, it felt good to know that we could crawl out of this. And that's why I mean, I took any interview.

[01:06:50]

I talked to schools, I talked to high school kids, like in front of big groups. They're like, hey, we want you to come on, tell us about the story and I'll get there in front of anyone and talk about our business all day long.

[01:07:02]

So Eddie said one thing when he asked you to come on here. He's he said at one point, you are a little bit nervous. It'll be an ambush. Am I right about that, Eddie?

[01:07:10]

He thought to be a sabotage. Yeah. Yeah. Well, but I that's I feel like if you actually follow us, like, why I would never if I was going to sabotage you, I would have probably done something in the last review.

[01:07:24]

Now I get that. And that could have been bait. But we all know that clicks get pay the bills and stuff. We create some huge controversial thing and millions of people see it.

[01:07:36]

You know, I'd have to be pretty dastardly to do that. I mean, most of the shit we end up in is exactly like how our thing it's like it's not planned. It's like there's no we go in there. Something viral happened, but it was never like, oh, we're going to go in and it's so organic.

[01:07:50]

But I know I once I saw the response and right after I was rooting for you guys, like the way you had everything, I thought it was as well done as you could handle something like that. All your moves.

[01:08:04]

Yeah, we saw that. And when we apologized and you said, hey, I can get behind this, you knew we were real, real people. Yeah. Like we would respond that we weren't just dicks back, like, oh no, I will show you. That's that's not right. You were a customer. And even though you're the most famous pizza guy out there. Right. And our people should have known mistakes happen and you got hono.

[01:08:32]

All right.

[01:08:32]

Well, I'm glad you came on. I think people are going to be fascinating and like already if they weren't rooting for Goodfellas. So I appreciate the pizzas. Very good. So every time I'm in Lexington, which I'm there, a decent amount, relatively speaking, I'm sure. What about Cincinnati, Dave?

[01:08:46]

He didn't want to come on today. What about Alex? Would you like that if Dave went to Cincinnati, if he's ever there at some point? What our Paddy l.P join me.

[01:08:53]

A very funny picture. So, hey, I want the review to be authentic. So unannounced. Yeah, well, if there was some way, you know, like I said, let's see how this pans out. But I this will be there.

[01:09:09]

Yeah. He stood there and you know, we're up in the city a couple of times a year, not this year, but maybe Patty can come up there and you'll do a review together. I don't know.

[01:09:21]

I like the sound of I do that in a heartbeat, so. Yeah. All right. Appreciate it. Thank you, guys. Best of luck. Greatly appreciate the second review. Thanks for having me on. Thanks. Thanks, Alex.

[01:09:34]

You know, it's crazy. I was great. You don't realize and I don't. And this is something I've never not just in this case, I we've gotten so big like the ramifications or the reverberations of what we do.

[01:09:49]

Like, I actually felt bad when he's like I thought, you know, ten years of work going down the tube now. I don't think it was ever going to get to that. But that, like, I don't people may think I'm an asshole. That's the last thing I want to do is like put a fucking business out of business. But yet I post everything that is natural, that happens, and I'm telling you that if he didn't do this.

[01:10:10]

It hits different. It was a double, yeah, no, he asked me, he's like, well, I just want to make sure it's not a sabotage before I come on. I was like, I'm not going to speak for Dave. I don't know what he's going to do, but I don't I know for a fact that Dave is not in there killing small business, not definitely not in that business.

[01:10:26]

And I like he said, I didn't like the way they handled it all the way across.

[01:10:31]

It was brilliant. There's so many fucking idiots with PR they after it happened. We're almost perfect in my mind on how they how they never say anything negative about me, they never like stoke the flames because even if they were right, I was wrong. If you know anything about me, like if you start coming at me, I'll come back. But they owned it. They did the T-shirts. They shut down for a couple of days to retrain people.

[01:10:57]

I mean, he he did it perfectly. And you can tell I don't I think it's just like common sense, which a lot of times is PR.

[01:11:04]

And he said he felt bad because obviously you're in the same situation when you were growing a small business with BASTABLE, you know, way back in the day. Has there ever been a situation where someone really kind of affected barstool that bad? And, you know, you the way you responded, obviously kind of helped.

[01:11:20]

I mean, school administrators, I'm sure there's a long list.

[01:11:23]

There's never been anybody like just out of the blue. There's people is very different, that people have altered our course, have intentionally tried to alter our course like they hate us. They still hate me. Like I didn't you know, I didn't walk into Goodfellas like I'm about to fucking create a shit storm. It just happened. Now, some could argue should have posted it, but. That's that's our business. I never thought, oh, this could put them out of business or whatever, and in the end I think it did help with business, whatever, but no, not like that.

[01:11:55]

Not. Not something random. If I were him. The thing that would have driven me absolutely bananas is that they sent the memo be like be on the alert form and then that happens.

[01:12:06]

So I asked, where was a breakdown? Like the guy? Like he was completely oblivious to Bastable A. And then B, he just missed a memo like that.

[01:12:14]

That's two fold. That's what it sounds like.

[01:12:15]

It came from like corporate and they just didn't take it seriously. Yeah, yeah.

[01:12:20]

I mean, I'm trying to think of an equivalence there. And it's almost like an athlete or someone who is really popular back in the day just saying, like, all barstool sucks like this site's lame, but that if someone did that, you always kind of fought back or you knew how to roll into the joke and make it funny.

[01:12:33]

Obviously, we've been in major, major scandals or publicity and negative stuff. But again, it's never. Like, I never hated Goodfellas and like you said quickly, I'm like, yeah, is a bad day. Give these guys like I hope they make it. I said that almost right away when they were like, sorry about that.

[01:12:53]

That's not the type of disputes we get in. Like, the people who don't like us really fucking are trying to like their goal before they even say our name is to put us out of business or create controversy. That isn't like I'm generally going the pizza place to help them. Not that's not what I'm doing. But like, it's helpful.

[01:13:12]

I've gotten much more careful about trashing pizza. Places are saying it's horrible because I understand the impact and I don't want to do that, like all the ones that make it a really good scores. But pizza places begged me to come in is generally only good things can happen.

[01:13:28]

So it's not you know, that was just a wild set of circumstances.

[01:13:33]

So it's not that you review your scores are getting shot after it's I hear your criticisms are a little less harsh.

[01:13:38]

Maybe the scores aren't going as low. Like it's you have to be absolutely horrific to get like below a six. Like anything from six is the low. Seven sixes are generally means I don't like it. Low sevens and mid sevens. Good high sevens. Pretty good. Eight spectacular. But I usually like threes and like this. It's like I don't want to put people like too many people watching this thing now, dude, it's tough, man, because it's so personal.

[01:14:09]

It's so personal, you know what I mean? Like, people love their fucking pizza. You go to Dalkia and you shit on those places. They're not getting the active like.

[01:14:15]

I mean, it's just I'm told me a story of the guy you took me to, Eddie, who you said, want to kill me. Yeah, a guy want to kill you. You came to Chicago, they took you to review. He didn't like it. And he was saying he's never going to be allowed into Chicago because we have some guys in the south side are going to want to murder him. I was like, well, all right.

[01:14:31]

Well, you're a lunatic.

[01:14:32]

We're were you you guys really made it sound like he legitimately want to kill me. Oh, it was bad.

[01:14:38]

It was like we had a great relationship with him and it turned into a thing where he just he was so mad. You didn't even give him a bad score.

[01:14:45]

You sound like a seven one or something. Yeah, it was a seven one. I mean, that's as you're getting murdered over seven one. It was crazy, dude, we were very caught off guard and we're just like, well, fuck you. Like, we're like we're with him, you know what I mean?

[01:15:03]

So and that's we haven't talked to him to this day. So it's kind of how that ended. And then I guess my last thing on the whole saga is you kind of were talking early in the interview where you said you might have regretted something or wanted to take something back. Was that spitting it out? I.

[01:15:17]

I thought I kind of look like an asshole and like a baby a little bit. And I still think I do.

[01:15:23]

I like, spit it and blubber my baby penis or looking like kind of a spoiled brat was overpowered by what a douchebag he look like.

[01:15:33]

Like.

[01:15:34]

So when I watch it, I wasn't like I wasn't overly proud of my behavior, but that is such a colossal douchebag move.

[01:15:43]

It didn't matter what I did. Everyone's like, that guy's the worst patio. Pete's the worst. That was that was the match bail me out once he did that, it was game over. Yeah, I gotcha. Well, let's get into some new stories and some inside barstool. Before we do, though, let's talk about Roman swipes. Dave, obviously, everybody tries to last longer and bad, but thinking about baseball doesn't always work. The folks are an online men's health company or change the game with Roman swipes.

[01:16:10]

It's a secret to the lasting longer during sex. Roman is a bigger advertiser for barstool.

[01:16:15]

And speaking of sex, I got slandered by another girl. What I had on Twitter, I saw someone said one girl tweeted at me emergency press conference. The girl wrote, Dave, fortunately, I got to tell the craziest sex story ever told de Paul. And I flew me out to hang out with them. I met somebody else that I used to hook up with and went home with him and not Dave Portnoy. She tweeted that. Slander, yeah, for sure.

[01:16:41]

I know who the girl is. I did hang out with her. There's so much more to that. I didn't give a fuck. I want her to go with somebody.

[01:16:50]

Let's go back to Roman. But it was slander.

[01:16:54]

That you have some swipes in the wallet ready to go, though, just in case, you know, I'm already. Got to it. It's human nature God created men to, you know, but not quickly so we can move on to the next and create lots of offspring.

[01:17:12]

That's that's that's called social Darwinism.

[01:17:15]

Eddie Roman is fighting social Darwinism, and they can ship these swipes to indiscrete unmarked packages.

[01:17:21]

And each swipe pack a small enough to hide in your wallet whenever you need it. They're easy. You just take the swipe out of the packet, swipe it on a lot of try and you're good to go. All you got to do is go to get Roma Dotcom Portnoy. You can get your first month of swipes for just five dollars when you choose a monthly plan. Let's get Roman dotcom sized Portnoy. I don't see why you wouldn't do it.

[01:17:41]

Then what do you got? Why not try it? Everyone wants to last longer.

[01:17:47]

All right, inside barstool, Dave, curious about this. Look at this mug. All right, little drop of Black Reifel. Fuck you, I love the little drop off there. We are doing a nice pour here right now, you got your coffee and a black eye for Muslim the next, and we do have the coffee.

[01:18:12]

So you're going to be in charge of this now, Michelangelo, to make sure I have black rival coffee as long as they're a sponsor of the show. Nice, fresh piping hot.

[01:18:22]

Beautiful. Ready to go, black rifle, what a day for them. Love it. By the way, let's show the power of B in supporting the troops on A resay it. We're just going to show Black Reifel who the number one mover product is in the world. So where is what are we doing again to get people to do Black Reifel get the greatest read of all time? Where is it?

[01:18:45]

Black rifle is black rifle, coffee, dotcom.

[01:18:50]

It's called Dave Black Reifel Coffee Dotcom, 20 percent off your first month of the coffee club, 20 percent off coffee apparel gear. Use the code, Dave. Veterans, veteran veterans. They do all the good for it. They're sponsoring the show. I'm going to be in on these guys. They should be in on us.

[01:19:08]

I should be like a minor league baseball field with a black rifle like logos all over me. That would be great, but it's only up to the people listening to show where they go, buy some coffee or so or hate America. It's up to you. The line is there, the line is there are people, Michigan, Bhat. Big time back, are you facing any backlash from any Michigan people, are you out of the circle of trust?

[01:19:35]

No. Eddie, it's tough love if you sit there with a smile on your face watching what's happening in. We have to force change, be the change you want to be. Do you completely out on harbor? Yes, you have to be I was completely in on them, but I've been out them since I lost to Wisconsin last year on Barasat. Yeah, I was just curious if there's anything more, because, you know, you speak at something over there or you did something very I'm leading from the front.

[01:20:06]

You're leading from the front, all right, so no concerns about Michigan moving forward, your major concerns about football team?

[01:20:14]

Not in my. My standing, I I'm what every alumni's should want. I expect excellence and I will lead from the front till I get there. All right, so Michigan on the hot seat and exactly what I said last year, I was only wearing Michigan clothes inside out during football season. Why did you stop that? I haven't I haven't worn my mission clothes. Oh, so they're completely out there.

[01:20:39]

So if I wear an election every year. Yeah. It's not good. What's up with this charity softball game, that clip one out there, you had a dinner and multiple dinners, so it's just Philadelphia. A coach got cancer and was fighting leukemia. And a guy hit me up is like, hey, it's, you know, ten minutes outside Manayunk, about half an hour from Philly.

[01:21:01]

Anyway, you can just tweet out the link to be unbelievable if you came.

[01:21:05]

Took a couple of hack's. So I was like, sure, I'll you know, I always get my period where I like showing the home run because I went and I was fucking pressure.

[01:21:15]

Like tons of people showed up to watch me do this. It was nuts. But I don't love talking like I.

[01:21:22]

I get uncomfortable not only this, whenever we do like stuff that's not for publicity, because I want to make it seem like I was just doing it, this is like, all right, I'm in the area.

[01:21:31]

I'm happy to help out. That's fair. I just see America called the weak. You didn't see that? No, he called you a week, Amir Garrett called me weak. Yeah. He certainly did. He certainly did pull up your phone pulled, he has pulled it up. He might have, quote, tweeted it, forget exactly what he said, but he called you a week. No shit. You. I don't know how long ago he did that, a mercuric called me weak.

[01:22:02]

What was weak about that? People like, oh, you look like each arrow. First of all, the pictures inside, I sent it to the fucking moon. They had baseballs that are squishy. They're intended not to go outside the park because I want to hurt kids. I defeated the whole scientific system. I obliterated those balls.

[01:22:19]

He said, I'm embarrassed for you, Dave. You put every ounce of energy into that strength to barely hit at that far. Shaking my head, get in the gym one time.

[01:22:28]

Well, how did I miss that when he say that he tagged you choose four days ago.

[01:22:35]

I was sorry, Amir. I don't have five followers. I'm fucking. How many followers this guy have? Eight. He's got forty four thousand followers. You see every fucking sentence said to you when you're in the millions on every single social media profile in the world, you don't see everything.

[01:22:52]

That's probably going to be our response. Sorry, I don't have 44000 followers. Got lost in the mail. He he needs to be a future guest as well. Absolutely. We got we got to figure this out. Absolutely. I thought it was funny you had a family feud tweet.

[01:23:06]

You guys cheer. And Eddie, you don't know the half of it.

[01:23:10]

That guy was out the fucking homerun derby. Really? He's like the clip you put up from Family Feud. That was me. It was him. He was in the crowd. How crazy is that? That's absurd, crazy, so people are reaching out, they're like, oh, I'd love to explain, come on.

[01:23:31]

So I don't know, maybe we'll have someone.

[01:23:32]

Well, I feel I mean, to me, they tell him you have to, but who cares? I guess the only thing I could think when you lose big money of the speed round, you still come back. You won the game. So maybe if you don't dance, they eject you. That could be a two.

[01:23:48]

So people that didn't follow along, you were calling out the people who lose fast money. And because you're right, they continue on to the next episode. But if you lose the round, you don't get paid for that episode. I don't believe it's like, why are you still there?

[01:24:00]

That does not make me go nuts. I mean, they go nuts. It looks like the finale of a wedding, like they're going bananas, like you just lost 25 grand and stuff.

[01:24:11]

How do you think the Portnoy family would fare in a family feud? I would have to be the head of the family, I think I do. All right. My dad would be an absolute, unmitigated disaster. I don't even think he would ever fully understand the rules.

[01:24:28]

There is a strategy to the order as well, so who's what's the order here? So your dad's probably last to keep him out of the buzz around?

[01:24:36]

Yes, I would probably go me, my sister. Her husband. My mom. And no shot at my partner in Esquire doing fast money around zero, although Eddie, I don't want to be like. An asshole, but twenty five grand, like it's not that much to me the entertainment value of watching him struggle in that round is probably worth far more than that.

[01:25:12]

So maybe I'd throw him in second with the pressure on the line just to watch him freeze.

[01:25:19]

We rent out the studio, is this something we could just mock even if it doesn't go live to TV? I'm trying to think of something.

[01:25:28]

Hello?

[01:25:29]

He'd just do a hello and, you know, he won't be able to monitor. It would be a disaster. I want to do this so bad now.

[01:25:40]

You'd have to set up on a real thing. So I don't. But he'd be miserable at it.

[01:25:48]

Be so funny. We talked about a little bit earlier in the episode, the Cooper versus White House thing was unbelievable. I thought you used a great gif of the classic Super Bowl moment lighting a cigar because you got two ends of the Internet like that is the Internet age of like the debate hive versus like the Swifties. You know, you're right.

[01:26:10]

No, it was it. Even sometimes I astound myself, my ability to drive page views, and I remember I went to the Sway House and they were doing all the kids there were like, they're all doing podcasts and they're like mentioning who they're doing with it, like, oh, we got to do this.

[01:26:27]

They want to do it this way. This way. I just looked at Josh.

[01:26:30]

I'm like, Dude, you're with me like these. Give me give me two weeks, three weeks, we'll see who's left standing, we're the only one. We're top 20 podcast. Are they still doing it, all those other guys are down there, they're gone, they all launch big. There was something I forget who I'll dig it up one day. I keep files like some. Some. Some Twitter account, like a finance one, came out after we all released them, like this White House all had, there's like five of them and they said mine was the worst.

[01:27:01]

He has no idea what he's doing. He's stupid. The others are great.

[01:27:04]

His sucks. We'll see. We'll see. So you're pretty happy with it so far? It's gone great. I thought I'd be maybe only do five episodes now, for better or for worse. It's growing and so many people like it, like when I'm out home run derby, people running up BFE love it. They like Josh. We have a good chemistry. So it looks like it's going to be around for a little bit. Was Alex mortified?

[01:27:28]

Alex, you rattled the cage.

[01:27:30]

Oh, Alex is untouchable. Yeah, but was she like a little rattle, I don't think she she's not like that these. Would you say, sorry, she's Al Capone? Unrattled, I got on with the daddy gang. Tick tock is a Q. That, again, will go to war. Go it put it it's going to put I don't know. It was just interesting to me how those kids now were they really they were really upset about the half of them were.

[01:28:02]

Yeah, two of them were. Two of them weren't.

[01:28:04]

It was surprising to me. I said that to Josh, who I liked, because he's kind of like me, wants to start up. He texted me. He's like Lokke. They talk in cool terms, but he's like low key. Couple of them are pretty mad, like, really. He's like, yeah, it's fucking awesome.

[01:28:18]

So he's in and that's where that's where I think you're good for these kids where you're like, hey, like you live in a fake life. Like this is how normal people. You take a joke, right?

[01:28:26]

Yeah. It's like who cares, Alex, that you look like fucking SCID from ice age. Who fucking cares?

[01:28:31]

And shit from Ice Age is also probably the biggest comparable that has ever walked.

[01:28:37]

How many people have been called set from Ice Age? And they're right. Exactly.

[01:28:40]

There's a lot of those soul cycle is under fire for trainers, banging clients, fat shaming and homophobic remarks.

[01:28:47]

Correct. The. So you're not surprised I could told you not could have told you that I told you that. Any word from.

[01:29:03]

The the old soul cycle girlfriend, Lahham Dog, yeah, I still don't know whether she was actually a girlfriend. I liked her. I knew she never liked me. But I did like her, and I think it was the right timing because I was coming off like a ten year thing and she was like the opposite and crazy.

[01:29:20]

I was crazy, but we. Like, exchanged not mean stuff, probably a couple times, like in the course of however long, like, you know, I don't regret it, she deserved it, she was a scumbag.

[01:29:34]

I think she'd be like, hand up. I was a scumbag. But again, I was so caught up and I'm one of those guys I'll sink with the ship. But I you know, I, I wish I didn't do it for her sake because it's like it follows her probably everywhere.

[01:29:47]

And, you know, she was a young girl and I was just being so mad she deserved it.

[01:29:52]

Like everything I said she fucking deserved. But no, I could care less now, like I could care less.

[01:29:58]

So you really don't think she liked you at all? No. She was using me and when you look back at that time, were you like fucked up at this time? Like, what was? No, I know I wasn't fucked up, but I was coming off, obviously, my marriage and Rene and I were, like, similar and got along. And she was like, the people know how I feel about Renee.

[01:30:20]

I hold her in like the highest regard you can hold a human. This girl is the opposite, like Leo Morales, like trash. Like, different, you know, it was the first time I was single one people knew who I was. So it was a very different like.

[01:30:39]

Before, no one ever liked me because of anything except me that changed, obviously once people always got me because of money, because some fame, some notoriety.

[01:30:48]

But you can ask. Yes, every day coming like this, God fucking hates me. But it was like I was kind of caught up in, like, the craziness of it. It was kind of your first time in the candy shop and you were able to take some candy and there was a lot of candy you looked at during the blackout and all those days, but it was just, you know, this was I was like single.

[01:31:07]

I could do what I want. And since that, like, my I remember my mom was like, was your brain broken? Is your brain broken? And it kind of was, I guess. But since then. I would never.

[01:31:21]

That there's nothing even remotely similar to that that would ever happen, could happen, but yeah, that was a I was probably at the right time for somebody like that relationship, and she was young and fuckin who doesn't like us.

[01:31:34]

Like, I brought a lot with it. Like she's find on fucking planes with Sports Illustrated, like models. So, yeah, if I were Herbig, I might as well do this and I'll go fuck the soul cycle guy in the side.

[01:31:46]

Not good at hiding it, Eddie. She wasn't good at hiding it, I was more like with him. It's like, do you know, I am like not in like, oh police do you know who I am? Is like, do you know, like if I find out I'm not going just I'm going to try to tear down everything because that's my nature. Like how there was no way that was going to end except how it ended. I think you're prepared.

[01:32:07]

You definitely. It sounds like you agree with what your mom is saying. Your brain was broken to an extent.

[01:32:12]

I mean, the live stream debacle that's broken, broken, broken, broken. Well, so like you sat down to say you're not surprised about solar cycle. No. I mean, are you aware that there's. Are you aware that there's a new Brady Gate? His kids, Dick. Now there's a new breed of. I was alerted per sources that Tom Brady has unfollowed you on Instagram. Oh, he's done that on and off a lot. Oh, I see, yeah, he doesn't even sometimes run his social media.

[01:32:47]

So no concerns, no, not. OK, following that followed you, but he still follows barstool on Twitter, but not on Instagram. So, yeah, he unfortunately, to use a follow on fall guy. He's done that his whole career. That's weird, that's like a lot of times I don't even know it's a social media has a crazy social media team, so who knows? But now I could care less. All right, so I guess we don't have a pretty no Kate Beckinsale update zip.

[01:33:14]

I don't think she's seen it. It doesn't say seen anything from anything from Piqué or Lindsay. Yeah. He's like Piqué was like I think she's single, but she he didn't like, reach out. Who knows how well he knows her. But yeah. Nothing, nothing from. I mean I guess every show I can just be like.

[01:33:35]

Rewriter up. It's like nothing I'd like just to know I could come with. How about I just come with a new person? Would you like that as a new person to the end of your show? We can see where we get. OK. Yes, still says no. So you know what? Yeah, we get what shirt? All right. We can do like lines on this. Could be in, like, the Penn sports book. Like, who's the first person who actually replies, I love that.

[01:34:05]

If you go to that can Lizzie great pizza review. That was it was an all timer as well.

[01:34:09]

All timer. All timer on the time.

[01:34:13]

What's up with Rico? He rescheduled to pick on me. Remember Rico. No, I'm not mad at Rico, Rico, you know where you can listen Rico world, but it's so ironic that I greenlight this basketball show because I have the perfect analogy.

[01:34:29]

Texas, Stanford, Steve. And he's like Stanford.

[01:34:32]

Steve, have you ever asked Van Pelt to reschedule SportsCenter so you can do your part? That's what he did. That's what Rico did to me. And big at. And then are you mad at him about not going to the gambling cave or you'll recall, just lives in a fantasy world where he wants to be paid and full time and he has these commitments and then he just doesn't do it. And then he's like, well, Ndou can't go to the house because I'm not there.

[01:34:56]

But you were supposed to be there, but your light was out in your bathroom, so you just didn't go. It's not like it must be nice.

[01:35:02]

He's a man of honor that I'm sure I'll make it up to you guys. He's a man of honor.

[01:35:06]

Yeah. Probably bring me, like, ham on Yom Kippur. What's going on with the melted office? I know you talked about making it a museum, maybe, you know, make it in the minor leagues. Have you talked to the people who had.

[01:35:17]

Yeah, I have. It's expensive to buy the building and to be on. I talked to Hank about it. Like, I know Erica wants to make it like a storefront. You could buy merch.

[01:35:25]

It's so out of the way. That just doesn't make sense. It's like a cool idea. But if we're going to be like a storefront in Boston, it should be in Boston. So it just I don't think it makes a whole hell of a lot. It's one of those cool things, but it's too expensive just to be a cool idea and you got to buy the whole thing or you can't be here on seven million.

[01:35:45]

How much? Two point seven million. Wow, so that's a lot of dough for a cool idea that really has no practicality. Well, buy it and then you could have your dad be cousin, landlord, and he could take care of the other properties.

[01:36:00]

That means we could talk to my dad more. OK, so it sounds like that idea is not looking right. How long are we doing the show for? Why, what's wrong? I got it, I got to go and go on my. We've been doing it. There's two hours. I know we went longer than it's. How much time.

[01:36:21]

How soon? It's two. Twenty five. What time we got to go. Give me a time. Five minutes. All right, fine. Hold on. Well, before we do that, we we got another Adoree Dave. OK, dhv detox.

[01:36:34]

No days wasted. We've got questions asked if I don't. This has been going on for nine hours. Well, yeah, you what is actually show Dick Zucker posted the pizza review clip when it was two years to the day since we captured you in Chicago on the pizza reviews.

[01:36:54]

You know what's what's happening? This is great. I got like I got to keep going.

[01:36:59]

I still haven't packed detox days wasted. Make sure you check them out. Obviously, it's tough football Sundays. You know, you're having a few drinks, but DHS detox is here for you to help you. [01:37:46]

Yeah, you like the watermelon lemony lemonade because. Well, do you know anything about me yet at that paradise in Miami? Watermelon. My God. Yeah. So it's a delicious blend.

[01:38:23]

Dave, check out. That's no days wasted, Botsio.

[01:38:26]

Love it. I'm just curious, how long were you planning on having this thing run if I didn't say I had to like going into the weekend? Dave, no, I had my questions. I got to get through and I plan on getting through my questions. OK, so let's go.

[01:38:41]

Well, I didn't know we had a time limit.

[01:38:43]

I was told you're good to go. Who does a two hour we're into like this is going on all oh, this is this is the show. Was the show. All right, listener emailed, I still have more topics, can I get through my topics or no. No. We go quick and we'll decide when I got to go to miss the plane, I didn't know you had a plane.

[01:39:08]

Well, I didn't know I had to say I had a plane, what was an evening flight, and we were doing it at noon.

[01:39:13]

I don't care if you have a 9:00 p.m. flight, you got to let me know.

[01:39:16]

It didn't cross my mind that this could be a conflict. I made the flight late so there'd be no conflict. And we're not even in the second inning of this podcast. We've been doing it for six hours.

[01:39:28]

All right, all right, we'll do a few listener emails and we'll come back and we'll get out of here. How about that? All right. All right. You ready for this on this first one? I'm glad you stuck around Dave Moore, but they put show at barstool, sports, dotcom, everybody. Listen, old shows. There's a lot of repeat questions. This one's from a guy named Hatti. Dave, I know you're busy, guys.

[01:39:48]

Just trying to limit be an honor. If you could attend this guy's wedding, would you like to go to his wedding? No.

[01:39:53]

OK, Dave, I'm a fan of the No Quitter's podcast. I was Obama. It didn't get picked up. What's the thought process behind podcast getting greenlit and which don't?

[01:40:03]

I did not. Not green light that I didn't know. That's news to me. Never crossed my desk. Is there any telethon planned for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

[01:40:12]

Yes, we do a telephone every every Monday. OK, all right. I'm going to cut us there. We'll be back on Tuesday. Right.

[01:40:20]

To do to do about staying here. I couldn't leave was for those questions.

[01:40:25]

I have more, but I'm cutting it short. All right. We got to I assume you asked me your best questions.

[01:40:31]

No, because now I'll say the good I'll save the better ones for Tuesday because we got an early episode next week because of Thanksgiving.

[01:40:37]

Fine, fine. You see where I'm at? Yeah, fine. All right, Dave, you're ruining my Miami, like every time you go try to go to Miami, it's like I'm walking around a 400 pound eddy on, like, a chain just dragging you through the airport, correct?

[01:40:50]

Well, at least, you know, now. Now it's official. I didn't know that we how I don't listen, Rogan. Everyone says what? But that's like like he goes on for, like, hours, right?

[01:41:00]

Yeah. This show is probably like an hour and a half hour and 45. This show right here. Yeah.

[01:41:05]

One one forty five almost on the nose. Yeah.

[01:41:08]

And that's with without added anything, anything out. So we'll see if we take anything out. All right. Thanks, Dave. Oh well that's it for this week.

[01:41:16]

We'll see you next week.
