Only the host is responsible for determining participants' available language pairs (the input speaking language and the output caption language). The host cab executes these features under his "settings." Once you enable these languages, you will have a list of nine default Zoom simultaneous languages, such as English, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, and more, allowing you to chat, listen, or speak at live Zoom app events.

Here is how to translate your captions into a language of your choice:

- Click the up caret button. The button is located next to the show captions button

- Navigate to under the section menu, then click your preferred language for captions to be translated to.

- Click on "more" if you need to access more available language

Once you click and select your preferred language, the system will automatically generate and translate the captions into your selected language.

Participants in the Zoom meeting can also independently select a caption language, regardless of the one you choose as you speak.

Note: The default language is English. Any selected language by participants will automatically be saved. This same language will be displayed on their screen on subsequent live meetings. You can add as many languages to the list. The Zoom live meeting app allows you to add up to five custom languages. If you need to add up to 25 custom languages, you can contact Zoom for support.

How to view translated captions

If you have translated some captions, you can view them later. Here is how to see translated captions.

- Enable captions in a meeting or webinar

- As a participant in Zoom meetings, you can enable captions without the help of the host.

- Join or participate in a Zoom conference

- To show or access captions, click on the "captions" button

- You will see the lists of captions above the control toolbar.

- Change the default language from English to anyone you prefer.

How to enable or disable Zoom's simultaneous Language Interpretation

You can enable or disable an interpreter on your account. To effect this setting;

Log in to your Zoom as an admin. This allows you to be able to modify the existing settings on your account

Go to the navigation menu and click Account management

You will see "language interpretation toggle" under "advanced meeting." Click this toggle if you wish to enable or disable your interpreter.

Confirm the settings by clicking the enable or disable button, depending on what you want to do with the interpreter.

However, you may wish to mandate the setting for anyone in your account. Clicking the lock icon confirms this setting for anyone in your account. However, this feature demands users meet certain technical requirements and specifications.

During events, you can decide if you want participants to speak or not. If you want them to speak, you can make it happen by allowing them in the "listen channel check box." To prevent users from speaking to a channel during interpretation, you can also change this setting; for example, you can request support from Zoom to disable an audio sound, such as an echoing sound in the listening channel.

When you schedule a meeting, you can allow more than twenty custom languages by selecting the "Allow" check box. This allows you as a host to enjoy multilingual interpreters anytime you hold a conference session. It is pertinent to know that you can only use this multilingual option if you have enabled "original language interpretation." However, this option requires you to be on a minimum of client version 5.11.2. You can request this feature from Zoom support, though it isn't available for mobile devices.
