The horrific scene unfolding in the Bahamas. A ferry carrying about 100 passengers, including Americans, began to sink. A 74-year-old woman from Colorado did not survive this. Here's ABC's Victor Kendo.

Tonight, the horror aboard this ferry in the Bahamas, leaving one American dead. About 100 tourists enjoying their vacation when the boat taking them to the popular Blue Lagoon Island suddenly begins taking on water. Everybody's freaking out. P passengers recording the chaotic scene Literally sinking. -yelling for help. Life preservers thrown to those overboard, the catamaran clearly listing to one side. They're trying to get us on their boat. Nearby boaters responding quickly, plucking people from the water, rescuing passengers and crew members from the sinking vessel and taking them to the nearest dock. A 74-year-old woman from Colorado found in the water, unresponsive. They performed CPR, which she did not survive. Witnesses say the seas were choppy than normal at the time of the accident. Tonight, authorities in the Bahamas are investigating.
