We do have some breaking news to pass along. Abc News can now project, Donald Trump has surpassed the Delegate Threshold to become the presumptive Republican Nominee for President of the United States, setting up his November Face-off against President Joe Biden. Let's go to ABC Political Director, Rick Klein for more.

Lindsay, the state's voting tonight, making it official for Donald Trump. He's able to go over the top, get that majority of delegates that he would need at the international convention. It makes it an interesting primary campaign. Everything started in Iowa, where Trump both DeSantis and Nikki Haley by a huge margin. Then came probably the closest challenge that he was going to get. In New Hampshire, Nikki Haley was the last candidate standing, ended up losing by 11 points. A bit disappointing for her. She went on to her home state, lost by 20. The writing was pretty much on the wall at that point. But then you had Super Tuesday, a huge swath of the country voting on the same day. Truly, the only place that Nikki Haley was able to break through was the very small state of Vermont. Between that and the district of Columbia, no other contests existed in the Republican side this year that Donald Trump wasn't able to win, in many cases, win very big. So he becomes the nominee on that side. And for the Democrats, Joe Biden wrapping it up as well. We saw with him, he made a strategic decision early on not to appear on the ballot in New Hampshire.

He was able to win that state as a write-in candidate. From there, he never really got a scare, although we saw a big vote for uncommitted because people were upset in the Democratic Party over his handling of the Israel Hamas war. A similar situation played out in Minnesota, also Colorado and North Carolina. But there was never really a question about Joe Biden locking this down. So historically speaking, this is unbelievably early for the general election to start. We'll see one more set of results tonight out of Washington that could be another measure of how many people are still upset on the Democratic side. But truly, we go to general election mode right now, and it's going to be very close. The battleground state polls all have a slight Trump edge, or in the case of Pennsylvania, a tide race. And you can see our 538 polling average right now, the narrowest advantages for Donald Trump. Both of these candidates are still going to have to worry about consolidating their bases a little bit, but the general election effectively starts now. Lindsay?
