What the actual cause of war is on a primal level?

For example, there is this frozen civil war that we have in the subcontinent, India-Pakistan. What is the cause of that? There are religious causes, geopolitical causes.

There are so many causes for conflict, but it's typically the basest of human desires.

You want more power, you want more people to obey you, you want more territory, more resources, more money, you want more, more, more.

It all boils down to greed, the desire to control more and more and to essentially own the own world.
