So I venture into the Macy's and start looking at some sweaters when this man approached me. He told me he really liked my legs. I was wearing shorts.

He was a tall, handsome stranger.

He was very charming. He was very well-spoken, and he looked good.

With a pickup line that was hard to ignore.

He was working closely with the James Bond movies, and then they were looking for new people, people who weren't so recognizable to be James Bond girls. How fun would that be to be a Bond girl? I think every girl has a dream about that.

Our latest podcast takes us to Hollywood, where the young and beautiful dream of being discovered, where predators promise to make dreams come true. A lot of these men are extreme con artists, and they're very good at what they do. Young women seem to be so desperate to be discovered that they'll go through anything to a photoshoot. This is the story of how one of those young women was lured to her death by that smooth-talking man at the mall. I remember very Very distinctly, the helicopter shot from above where the body was discovered. It's the story of how the justice system had multiple chances to stop that from happening and failed. I said, This guy has done this before. He'll do it again, and he will kill someone because he almost killed me. It's about plea margins and backroom deals. That's the way it works. I'm sorry to tell you, but that's the way it works in a court system. But most of all, it's about how a group of women who'd once been targeted by this predator band it together to put him behind bars and keep him there.

That's the unfortunate thing about being a victim is you have to participate fiercely, fiercely in what happens next, or it just goes away.
