Hey, this is David Johnson, and you're listening to the Fantasy Football podcast. Welcome to the Fantasy Football podcast with your host, Andy Holloway and Jason Moore and Mike Ride. I welcome in. I thought there was a chance because of the double header, I see that you would bring it, but that's OK. It's all right. You got to leave the people wanting a little bit more. No, I think you've done that now. And we're we're ready, Mike, for the next big, big game.

[00:00:54]

Welcome into the show. Any and Jason, the fantasy football airs Monday, October 19th.

[00:01:00]

We get some afternoon football today here on the West Coast, two o'clock chiefs bills, that'll be a fun one. And then our hometown squad, the Cardinals. Against Andy Dalton in Monday Night Football. Mhm. Oh, yeah, that'll be yeah, I don't know what to expect from that game. I think it should actually be a pretty good fun game.

[00:01:23]

I think there's going to be a lot of fantasy points.

[00:01:24]

You know, what's different about this situation with Andy Dalton is it wasn't a cool. It wasn't a cool thing to support Andy Dalton and believe in Andy Dalton and defend Andy Dalton for a very, very, very long time, but right now it seems very like posh to be like Andy Dalton's great. This is no is no slouch. This is a really good pro bowler. Well, he's he he's a good backup. I mean, this is the underdog story now.

[00:01:49]

He's no longer the starter. He's the backup. Same performance in different contexts is a completely different outcome. Context is everything. Yeah, no, it's it's absolutely true. You always root for the backup when he was a starter and he was a loser. But now. Oh, I'm all in pushing my chips in. Who's go Andy. Who wins the game tonight. Are you worried about Arizona being able to get a caravan? I you know, I believe both teams are overrated and not as good as we hope and desire.

[00:02:23]

So it'll be a real slugfest of who's going to lose.

[00:02:27]

OK, all right. That's one expectation. You can find us on YouTube, YouTube, dot com, slash the fantasy football. If you want to watch the show, you can subscribe. Click the bell. We have a giveaway right now.

[00:02:39]

We're giving away a signed Kenny G jersey over a full giveaway. Dotcom, you can enter for free over there. Many of you have already, but that's going to go for the next month or so. And then we'll give that thing away so you can enter it for Clayne Giveaway dot com. Nice weekend of football, it is Monday. We need to get sophisticated. We need to react. We it was a bizarre weekend, Brooks.

[00:03:01]

We had probably a few hundred Monday, Monday entries once again. Oh, yeah. Maybe a thousand.

[00:03:08]

Maybe a thousands. Maybe thousands. Maybe thousands. Yeah. All right. You picked the best, though.

[00:03:15]

Here we go. Hmm. Oh, I guess we'll start on a down note.

[00:03:20]

Alexander Sandison Alexander should Askatasuna Derek him.

[00:03:30]

OK, Mike. Mike Koseki, Hong Kong, Mike, goose egg. Oh, yeah. Mike Nevins. Yes. Or sad sight having lost this. Tonya we've got Tullio Jones. That one's my favorite. Yeah, that one's nice, Tullio. What about this one albar animal.

[00:03:55]

Like it but Aaron Rodgers. Oh control to lead. Oh.

[00:04:02]

Oh I don't like this one. I just saw it. Odel rectum. Oh Junior. There's no junior in there. Nearly killed the DeAndre gift. Oh he's looking good. He's looking good.

[00:04:14]

Oh Cooper Kupp bloop bloop said he honestly he kept dropping the ball and then we all took a star voyage on the Millennium Falcon Brigade. That's the best you can do. It's the wrong star series. Jaysus spins Eileen in on this one Juju with Schuster.

[00:04:36]

Justin Jeffers, Justin Jeffers, fun, OK? All right, all right, you can handle it, Clé Burton and Burton, because we've got you got a tight end in Indianapolis.

[00:04:48]

That's not Moily Cox ma'am. How are you feeling about that, that Trey booboos Trey Burton action from the Colts Jersey. You've been over there trying to tell people that Trey Burton will be a thing and he's a thing and he's going to continue to be a thing if he's healthy. He's on a team that utilizes tight ends. Moily Cox is an active. Absolutely tribal.

[00:05:09]

Well, and did what? What was the final conclusion of Jack Doyle? Looked like he hurt his little bitty baby hands. Did they actually get hurt? I didn't get a boo in the baby hands.

[00:05:20]

I believe he was still in the game after that. But he was definitely it was hard to see because they're so small, right? Yeah. Tiny injury, right. It was like the camera was zooming in, but you couldn't really tell. But he did. He did hurt his hands.

[00:05:32]

It's terrible the disparity of perception for all the tight ends on this team. You've got Milica George. He's so big. And then you got Trey Booboos, who's just been a disaster for years as one good game, loving the Jags, Doyle, the like. His hands are too small.

[00:05:48]

So it's a hard ball. OK, yeah. I didn't give him the baby. He only ended up one for twelve. I feel like I saw him try to catch five passes in this game.

[00:05:57]

You catch with those hands. Yeah, it's difficult. Let's let's get to the rewin.

[00:06:07]

Weekly rewin. This is the mike right special here to start the weekly Rewin Mile Sanders exhibition that did that part is not by special.

[00:06:19]

Well, it's your special in the sense that you've you're leaning on him in some leagues and. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's it sucks. He's got a knee injury. Zach Ertz exited with an ankle injury. Both are getting an MRI today. What is the latest you've heard on Miles Sanders since you're so attached?

[00:06:33]

So the we don't have a lot of news yet, but the the Twitter doctors were out trying to, you know, look at the mechanism of the injury, looking at the timeline of their games and when their bye lines. But if you have Myles Sanders, I would be prepared to be without him for at least three weeks at least. Yikes. That is unfortunate. That's a team that can sustain some injuries, though, because they haven't had to deal with any, right?

[00:06:57]

Yeah, yes. A lot of depth there. Also, I can't believe they almost came back in that game.

[00:07:03]

We were making fun of you, as we should have been doing during the Ravens Eagles game. And we're saying stop taking almost upsets against the Ravens. And then they almost upset them. It was incredible.

[00:07:16]

And you could see the writing on the wall. We're like, OK, they score the touchdown to tie and they don't get the two point conversion. That'll be a perfect almost upset. Also, Eckert's currently the tight twenty one on the week.

[00:07:29]

OK, look, I'm like I'm not saying I'm just just saying just throwing stats out there. The numbers that's six weeks of Zach Ertz and one week inside the top ten for him. I really don't know whether to be impressed with or disappointed in Carson Wentz. I feel like every play. Oh, it's both. Do you know that like when you are let's say you you did a 100 yard sprint, right. And at the very end, you're very tired and you start to kind of fall after you cross the finish line and you're like barely catching your feet.

[00:07:58]

I feel like he plays the entire game in that mode, like he's about to fall over. He's about to get tackled, almost wins the game.

[00:08:05]

Yeah. He actually wears heavier shoes than most people do. And I don't I don't know if he's got like one of those training vests underneath, but it's just on the shoes.

[00:08:16]

I thought maybe they tied the shoelaces together and then they made him play quarterback. All right. Mark Ingram, ankle injury came back out on the field. Left again. Yeah, he was he was in and out. But it's something to monitor here for waivers.

[00:08:27]

It's always a big deal when you hear something like that and you have somebody like JJ Dobens behind him with that much talent. It's not just Dobbins man that Gus Buss was.

[00:08:38]

He he saw a lot of opportunity. No, you're right. And he was he was double digits in our league of record scoring because you saw what happened, like carmakers gets banged up. All of a sudden Darrell Henderson comes in and he's just established himself. Right. It might just take a little ankle tweak to move in. The next guy, Reggie Mostert, exited with an ankle injury. He looked like he wanted to come back in so bad.

[00:09:00]

And Raheem Monster.

[00:09:01]

I mean, we've had the discussions several times in the office of running backs that running backs that actually matter and change a team rookie. Mosaad is so good, man.

[00:09:12]

He is. He is. He makes correct decisions. His athleticism is always on display. The one run where he doesn't look like a power back. But he had the run, the run where he came, you know, running to the outside and he sought out the contact of two players. The run should have been a four yard run. Instead, he pushed two defenders and turned this from a four yard into a nine or ten yard run. He is it was I can't believe the NFL whiffed so badly and on.

[00:09:40]

And plenty of teams out there actually had him on the roster. Yes. And saw him practicing day in, day out. You know, Jerick McKinnon is a fine running back. But you look at those two guys, when they're on the field, you're like, man, they miss Mostert because he hits those those holes so quick, he might just want it more than other people. Yeah, like, there's there's a mentality thing of playing football that you can't really quantify remaster.

[00:10:05]

It's inspiring. Travis Fulgham Ascencion, because when teams pass over, you release, you sign your IQ, you get a little and Mike Davis, you get a chip on your shoulder and all of a sudden you run a little bit harder. I do worry a little bit about this. This ankle injury, though, because he was ruled out very quickly. I got an alert, didn't talk about it on the broadcast, but I got a pretty pretty quickly after he went off the field that he was ruled out for the rest of the game.

[00:10:30]

Well, you know, he came back in after the injury. He came back in and played.

[00:10:33]

Yes. And they're saying after that. Yes. And then was ruled out. And so I, I just you know, I guess maybe it's Christian McCaffrey that's giving me the fears of, oh, he had a great game. And then at the end he kind of tweaked his ankle. Then all of a sudden CMC PTSD. Yes, that's right.

[00:10:48]

Yeah. Devante Parker suffered a groin injury in the second half. Parkour has become. I mean, these are becoming frequent for him, having little tweaks and playing through them and we'll see what happens. One thing to note there is that that game was out of reach in 20 seconds. It was it was a twenty one to nothing in the blink of an eye. And dolphins play again. I think they had a bye week. They decided to score points on nobody.

[00:11:19]

Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Is he going to get fired this week? Brooks, can you let us know? No way. I don't. I don't know what he would have been fired already. Brooks, do you know I mean, are you taking over? I'll let you know. All right. I Adam Gase. Maybe he can make it for a few more weeks, we need the content Johnny Smith exited in the third quarter with an ankle injury.

[00:11:41]

He was not heavily involved early in this game, but he's been one of the better tight ends for fantasy football. So. You know, this is the dance you do with tight ends in fantasy, you you deal with injury and you have to pivot to some of these players that emerged over the last week, maybe as Trey Booboos, maybe it's Irv Smith Junior, maybe it's Rob Gronkowski, but maybe it's the other tight end on the Tennessee Titans.

[00:12:06]

First, sir, who came through with a monster. I think he's the number one tight end of the week. That's right. Currently, there's a couple more games. He's always good for a few of those surprise games every year. The Broncos reportedly won't discipline Melvin Gordon after he was charged with a DUI. He didn't miss week six due to illness.

[00:12:25]

Yeah, he had strep, yeah.

[00:12:28]

Mm hmm. And then we've got the two games tonight. Last minute news there. Zach Moss is expected to play removed from the injury report and then John Brown is questionable. Do you guys have a sense on whether John Brown will be, let's not say, just on the field, but start worthy for fantasy teams? It's sketchy. Like, would you just shift right now if you could get Gabriel Davis? Would you just put Gabriel Davis in there because he's kind of giving you a baseline as opposed to the risk?

[00:12:54]

Or would you put John Brown in? I would probably put John Brown and I you know, you temper your expectations, but he's been so important to the offense.

[00:13:02]

OK, anything else we should talk about here in the NEWSROOM? I know it's getting to the studs. You. This week's fantasy stud Muffin's. Deshaun Watson, have yourself a game. The game was insane. That was a wonderful game. We have we haven't just for some context, we have eight televisions at the studio and then one middle TV.

[00:13:27]

So we have nine TVs. And because the NFL is so amazing, they chose to front load the entire there nine games. So ridiculous, man. And we run red zone in the middle. So we had to choose one game to not show. And we're like looking at all the matchups and we're like, yeah, let's just not show the Tennessee Houston one.

[00:13:48]

And that quickly changed. It was the right choice for like half the game and then no, then it was then it was insanity. What's the Sean Watson sandbagging for a while to get Bill O'Brien out of there?

[00:14:01]

Because he looks great.

[00:14:02]

All the Spears theory. This was the schedule. I mean, we set up before the season began, Kansas City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, to start the year.

[00:14:11]

You know, at the time, we didn't know Minnesota would be quite as bad on defense. But KC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, sandbagging or not, the result would be the same in those games. But this is back to back monster performances from Deshaun Watson. It's wonderful news for, well, fuller managers. It's wonderful news for Brandin Cooks managers Darren Fells.

[00:14:30]

David Johnson even had a nice week. Randall Cobb, everybody. It was yeah, there was plenty to go around.

[00:14:35]

Twenty four, thirty seven, thirty, thirty five and four big plays. Sustain drives. It was what you wanted to see minus the victory. So big week for Watson. Confidence levels rising. Matt Ryan.

[00:14:48]

Matt Julio Jones. Right. I mean it's like we have roll.

[00:14:53]

Eighty six from days gone by. Matt Ryan needs rule eleven. I mean it's if Julio is not out there, Matt Ryan is not comfortable. I agree.

[00:15:01]

I mean, when he is out there is absolutely great. You look at this season as a whole.

[00:15:06]

Matt Ryan started the year on fantasy fire and then all of a sudden Julio gets banged up, goes out and Matt Ryan stinks and now he's back in and there you go. So it's it's really simple. Sometimes fantasy is difficult and sometimes it's easy if who is out there. Matt Ryan's AOK, Detroit, Carolina.

[00:15:26]

The next two weeks from now, Ryan suddenly looking very strong in those matchups. Carson Wentz We talked about the game. He was ugly. It was also not that ugly for Wentz. In the end, Tannehill continues his dominant performance. Thank goodness. Thirty four. Forty one three. Sixty four in four. I don't know about you guys. There's nothing I enjoy watching more than a play action pass offense, to be honest. Like when you have an established running game and you can.

[00:15:54]

I mean with Gurley in the Rams a couple years ago, you know, the defense has to make a decision on every play and you lose or you lose against Tennessee right now, if you don't double down on Derrick, he's going to go down the field. And then if you do, Ryan Tannehill can pick you apart with AJ Brown. So this was an impressive performance. Three sixty four and four. I think for a lot of fantasy players, this was the game that maybe cemented Tannehill is in every week start no matter what's going on now.

[00:16:26]

You got Pittsburgh next week. That's that's tough. Now, what are you doing? Is he is he locked into your lineup?

[00:16:31]

Nope. Mm. Yeah.

[00:16:34]

I mean, never mind about what I previously said. It's one of those things where, you know, it depends on the alternative. But if I had a good alternative, I would I would use it. But, you know, I think he's going to be a low end one, probably quarterback. Thirteen, fourteen. So I I'm hoping that I can pivot, but we'll we'll see. It's a tough matchup, man. Yeah.

[00:16:57]

Pittsburgh was dominant this week, making an injured baker more injured on the in the Titans.

[00:17:03]

Sounds like they did lose their left tackle. Taylor, the one to an actor. That is a devastating loss and. Lamar Jackson, Philip Rivers, Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garoppolo, are you shaking your head at Philip Rivers?

[00:17:17]

No, I'm shaking my head at Lamar Jackson having one hundred and eighty six passing yards. Now he had a phenomenal fantasy game because he rushed for over 100 yards. Scoring is bonkers for quarterbacks when you do that. But I'm so disappointed in this Ravens offense as a whole. Mark Andrews, Hollywood Brown. If you're passing for one hundred and eighty six yards, it doesn't matter if you're good on this tiny pie on the year his average.

[00:17:45]

Right now, Doyle disagrees. One hundred and eighty nine passing yards per game.

[00:17:50]

One point seven touchdowns Pricket distribute among all your pass catchers those bountiful numbers. It's a bummer. So I might have to change some expectations there. Across the board, Kirk Cousins, this was garbage time, I mean, this was pure and utter. Did I hit 55? I don't know. I didn't. Can I blame a producer for that? Sure. Oh, wow. Where are you? How dare you, baby? That was 55 minutes worth of garbage time.

[00:18:22]

That was the talent that was on purpose. Pretty much was. Kirk Cousins came out and he had negative fantasy points for quite a bit of this match up.

[00:18:31]

Three early interceptions will usually do that. He was awful. But then it was like, oh, he's going to have to throw for the rest of the game and had a great fantasy output.

[00:18:41]

Just Justin Jefferson. Oh, my Jeffersons. Very good. And then Rivers did have a nice game. Twenty nine four forty four, three seventy one and three against Cincinnati. Had to actually come back. Yeah. And did it. Got it done. All right. At the running back position or Derrick Henry. When Winter came early there was report of snows in Minnesota. That means the Yeti was unleashed so way.

[00:19:05]

If there's snow just anywhere in the country. That's right. We'll go. Snow means that winter is here. It fuels them even if it's thousands of miles away. Yes. I didn't know that. You do need to research on Yeti's.

[00:19:15]

I clearly do. I'll turn up. I'm sorry, Mike. Twenty two, four to twelve and two says you're right. Says it's statistically accurate. Monster game for Derrick Henry. Just unbelievable performance. Mm. I caught a couple of passes. The overtime play. How well coached is that team to I just feel so good, I'm just so impressed with them and then taking the shot, you know, it's easy for us in hindsight to criticize every play.

[00:19:42]

All right. Super easy. I mean, it's cake. And so when you have third and goal from the five and you direct snap to Tannehill, all the different, you can hear them all. If that fails, it's you need Henry to hear you. I say, oh, sorry, you actually do that is that makes sense to Henry and I can hear it all. But a decision he fails there and it's right. Gimmicky plays and stupid.

[00:20:04]

Why don't you have Tindall's had this great game and how are you not throwing on third down and then he scores and you're a genius but great play call great player. And we'll see how great next week against Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh is playing outstanding football, but they lost Devin Bush. So maybe. Sure. It's not like you're benching Derrick Henry. I don't even know why it's a conversation. What do you make of Diondre Swift? It's tough, he was a player that I highlighted on Sunday live of, you know, just don't forget what happens a lot with rookies, especially a rookie running back.

[00:20:39]

He was in a timeshare. The vet, Adrian Peterson, was the guy. But then they had the bye week, the bye week teams go and they start shifting things around. They start figuring out where their young players can fit in and do more. Now they're the snap cameras or snap totals were very, very close between Diondre Swift and AP. Twenty nine for Swift, twenty seven for Adrian Peterson. But we saw DeAndre Smith get a lot of work on the snaps.

[00:21:05]

He was actually on the field eight total opportunities and then he came through in a big way. Hopefully, hopefully this is a great sign for more DeAndre Swift moving forward. But this isn't like I don't think he just took over the job.

[00:21:20]

The fact that this comes after a bye week is very important to me. You've got three carries five carries zero carries four carries bye week and then fourteen carries. This is a player. They are, you know, actively getting more involved in the future of the running back.

[00:21:36]

Absolutely. So you've got to keep your eyes on them.

[00:21:38]

Nice to see the opportunities jump up to eighteen. Yes. A couple start to the week. Had nice weeks. Ronald Jones, Myles Gaskin, Jones. If you're not starting him at this point, you're missing out on hundred yard games each and every week. And he's running ferociously. That's how I would describe it. He is the question is again, Fournette comes back, has Ronald Jones cemented the job or will all of a sudden he lose ten carries a game to Fournette.

[00:22:04]

There is only wet cement in Tampa Bay at the running back position. There is no cementing. He could have run for twenty three, four, eight hundred yards and it would still be like you don't pick up a blitz, pick up and let Brady get hit in the back of the knee and you get pulled off for two drive. So there's always that risk. But I don't know what else you could have done over the last three weeks for Ronald Jones to earn that role and the confidence of fantasy players.

[00:22:26]

Yeah, I think you have to continue to start Ronald Jones, even if Fournette is active and healthy until proven otherwise and James Connor keeps being James Connor.

[00:22:36]

Twenty four, one on one and one not really involved in the passing game, but didn't need to be. This team is playing great. So at that point, you know, you can lean on James Connor and Myles Gaskin, all the gas. I think he looked the best he's looked in this game. Thank you, Jets.

[00:22:53]

But he did what he's supposed to do. I, I credit Le'Veon Bell for that performance from Miles Gasol. He's like, oh, man, they were they were trying to get someone to replace me. I'd better play a little stronger. Huh? Oh, because when they were yes, I found they were flirting, the dolphins were looking, I think I think us rosoff because they're playing against the Jets.

[00:23:16]

So we kind of got a little confused. But you were right on point. Yeah. Yeah. It's great work. Great work, sir. [00:25:53]

Let's jump into the wide receiver studs. Guys, I have some really bad news, Motsepe, and I know it's going to affect you the same way it affects me. But I went and I looked at my dynasty team and there's absolutely nobody that I can trade to acquire just in general.

[00:26:09]

There's just no way I can get it. And I love this kid. Eleven targets, nine catches, one sixty six into it is now the third time in four games he's been over the Hando mark. And he's got one of the best touchdown dances, yes, in recent memory. Yeah, I don't know what it is about that weird little tap dance eyeglasses thing, but it's great. I want to see it, like, right now. I want to go pull it up because I just enjoy it.

[00:26:35]

This gets me gets me hyped. I can't imagine how good it's going to be in two weeks because he's got the by next week and he's going to work on it a little bit more won't scoring any fantasy points. But he's been outstanding.

[00:26:47]

And the question here, is he a top 15 wide receiver, rest of season, Justin Jefferson.

[00:26:54]

I mean, that's a tough line, right? Even though he's been great, he's going to say he's on the cusp there. He's still the two for his team. I do think with the bye week coming, I've said this before, Minnesota is not a bad team and I think they'll come out of the buy a little stronger. So I would say just past wide receiver fifteen. Let's put it another way. Muster. Sure. Absolutely. He's a wide receiver to resources.

[00:27:15]

Julio Jones played to Julio Jones sorry. Julio Jones. Ten targets. Eight for one. Thirty seven. And two, two touchdowns. You did it, Julio. They said it couldn't be done, but that did it. That Matt Ryan, Julio Steck, how'd that feel, Brooks?

[00:27:32]

Oh, no. It was a dynasty.

[00:27:35]

Sure. What did you get a loss, Brooks?

[00:27:36]

Well, two TBD got Zeke and DeAndre Hopkins going tonight, OK. And then what do you need to make up? I want to I want people at home following along. You want to look that up for me? I will look that up, do some mathematics. Let us know. I want to I'm going to be rooting for you, Brooks. I know that I'm not room for champ champ over here.

[00:27:53]

That's for darn sure. Brooks's team is so good. He's got a great dynasty. You are currently undefeated, is that right? Yes, sir.

[00:28:00]

Oh, well, then congratulations on the undefeated record. Yeah. On your undefeated record. Yeah, that's Dak. Did you think about not playing Matty Ice or was that once you knew who was in, it was done? Once Julia was in, it was a done deal. My my alternative was Carson Wentz against Baltimore. So it was it was about right, no matter what.

[00:28:21]

I think one of the strangest things in dynasty leagues to pay attention to after you've done it for year after year after year is just the the way you look at fantasy quarterbacks and what you end up having to pay to acquire them and how, you know, when Carson Wentz was acquired a couple of years ago is like locked and loaded, done deal. There are parts to yesterday's game was like as Jaylen or was coming into this game, right?

[00:28:43]

Uh oh.

[00:28:45]

No guarantees. I forgot to have Stefon Diggs going. Oh really?

[00:28:49]

Oh no. He's you do the math.

[00:28:52]

I need fifty three points between the three players. Oh that's doable. Oh that's super. Oh that's doable. I got to look forward to tonight. I talk to avoid too much traffic. That line. I don't like it. Oh let's go Brooks.

[00:29:06]

Let's get it done. All right.

[00:29:08]

Well, Fuller, he's getting it done each and every week. Six for one. Twenty three and a touchdown.

[00:29:14]

I'm going to lose when I look at it, this line of them like, oh, Diggs, Hopkins and Zeke. And all you need is like forty points off, you know, congratulations on your six a.T.M. Oh now it's the no it's the pre apology or the concession.

[00:29:32]

Get a pizza delivered like some of that. We'll look into that sometimes. Jason pre congratulates Brooks by buying him a pizza and seeing what happens.

[00:29:41]

Did it work for you last time, champ? Champ says what? Oh, right. I want to talk about Wil Fuller. All right. Yeah. Fuller is currently sitting as the wide receiver six on the season. Will Fuller was knocked out, injured against Baltimore. He did not have any targets or receptions in that game. If you admit that game. He has scored in four straight, he has been over one hundred yards in three of five games, the one game where he didn't score, he was eight for one twelfth.

[00:30:11]

And 11 targets, eight targets, seven targets. This is why I was highlighting him last year or last week of saying the the the overall feeling of willful or is it had it had not caught up to the actual production of willful or because week two, he went out and so it's oh, it's the same old willful or he's just going to get hurt. Look, Will Fuller has a very storied injury history. He could get hurt again. That's something that can happen.

[00:30:41]

But the dude is bawling out. He is the number one for Deshaun Watson and Deshaun Watson is is finally erupting and having monster fantasy output. Now, the window is probably closed now, like this will be the week that finally people are actually bought in on Wil Fuller. So we need to respect the man, respect what Will Fuller is doing right now. This is what you wanted to see. I mean, this is why I went and spin up to get him in Dynasty and hoped and prayed he'd stay healthy.

[00:31:10]

And the sentiment you're talking about, it wasn't just week two. He also had the hamstring injury before last week's game that made everybody afraid to play him. But isn't he a free agent?

[00:31:20]

After this year? I will double check that. I think that will be interesting to see what they choose to do. Brandin Cooks has been great, though. I don't want that to get buried. Brandin Cooks. The last two weeks has been outstanding. I believe he caught nine of nine targets. Yes, he unretired.

[00:31:32]

Yes. And what's crazy with Fuller is he's been consistent. It's not some three touchdown game with two hundred yards that's inflating the numbers outside of the week where he literally missed, you know, almost the entire game. He's been a top twenty eight wide receiver. That was that was his worst week and that was against Pittsburgh. So he's he's just been he's been great. And I wonder if Will Fuller and James Conner just give us all the pump fake, you know what I mean?

[00:32:02]

We're all worried about the injuries. You come out and you start the year and it's like, oh, same old, same old. And now they're just getting it done. Yeah. You're saying that out loud.

[00:32:11]

Those scares the crap out of me. It's like week seven coming up.

[00:32:15]

You've got to roll with it. You are correct. And he will Fuller is he's on his fifth year option right now. So he will be a free agent or franchised by the Houston Texans. Yeah, that'll be interesting to see what they do. This is a big year for him in terms of his future. AJ Brown, two more touchdowns. Yep, very good. Dominant Travis Fulgham. Ten targets, six for seventy five and a touchdown. This is three straight weeks of fantasy relevance.

[00:32:40]

Has the Giants and Dallas I mean, at this point in time, we're supposed to get Deshawn Jackson back on Thursday and I don't care one bit when it comes to whether I played Travis Fogle. He seems to have established himself as the ax right now. I've seen beat reporters talk about the fact he's going to stay there even if Alshon comes back. What's your perspective on Fulgham after what you've seen? I saw the same reports saying that as long as Fulgham keeps producing, he will be the starting wide receiver.

[00:33:09]

So you're playing him and the Giants at Dallas. Those are two juicy matchups. Jason Chase Claypoole short for targets, four catches, another rushing touchdown.

[00:33:22]

He is physically dominant on the field. He's one of those guys, you know, he's taller and faster and strong.

[00:33:33]

You know, this is the second week in a row where he's had a rushing touchdown as well. They get on the goal line and it's really tough with his length and speed to stop a jet sweep from getting in the end zone. And you combine that with the fact that you have James Connor and it's just another weapon. I think he has cemented himself as someone that you're going to start. I know that the matchup was great, right?

[00:33:58]

We were saying before the week that the Browns you want to play guys against the Browns, but even in other matchups, he just he looked great and it wasn't, you know, didn't he have a really good week, won just a bomb reception.

[00:34:14]

It might have been week two, but I know what you're talking about. Yes. So we've seen it. Yeah, I was weak, too. He had eighty eight yards. I think he's the real deal and he's really made Juju. I don't know he's the reason for. It's like the what we have seen from Joujou, where the production has just evaporated, is. It's wild, and I know there's you know, Juju was a very contested, the polarizing, polarizing, high emotional when you talk about him during the off season.

[00:34:49]

But he was still a fourteen hundred yard receiver, it was the question is, where can he be the number one? And that's that's a was a fair discussion to have. But for a fourteen hundred yard receiver to just vanish into thin air is absolutely mind boggling. I have no idea and what's happening with Juju. And it's not that he's off the field. He's still running a ton of routes. He's just not we have Target. We have five games already because they had the bye week already and you have him playing 81 percent of snaps and he's on pace for 620 total receiving yards.

[00:35:28]

It's mind boggling, man.

[00:35:29]

And here's the headline. They one hundred percent do not need Juju Smith Schuster to be successful on this team. James Washington is giving you weekly production. Deontay Johnson looks like an emerging star. Chase Claypoole, you've seen the headlines. Eric Ebron involved in the passing game. You know, Mike, you made the Pittsburgh wide receivers your start of the week. Big Ben only threw 22 passes in this game. That's a season low for him. So you still had production from Washington and Claypoole, but.

[00:35:59]

They don't need him right now. They just don't he he's still going to be good for the occasional touchdown. But yardage wise, I believe coming into the week, he had surpassed, you know, fifty something yards in any game. Yeah, it's and he's not going to probably be there after this year. I can't imagine what he believes about himself being able to point to the resume in the fourteen hundred yard season and what that would equate to from what Pittsburgh wants to pay a wide receiver.

[00:36:25]

Those things are not going to come together. Yeah. All right, Higgins, this was impressive. The rookies are really breaking out six for one. Twenty five, Higgins and a little bit of an on retirement for AJ Green in this game.

[00:36:37]

I was AJ Green not on this list. I mean, AJ Green. Had eight catches, he did he was he was usable, he was usable, he had 11 targets. OK, so he had 11 targets, eight for 96. That's a good game in our league, a record that is thirteen point six fantasy points and a no stud muffin, that's a that's a solid game, but that's no stud muffin. You don't break 100 yards, you get a touchdown, you don't get talked about the stud muffins, I guess.

[00:37:05]

No, no, I said a little on retirement, a baby like he took a few steps outside the facility.

[00:37:10]

I know we have two games left, but he's currently the wide receiver, 14 on the on the week. It was a very long game.

[00:37:17]

So so in that context, I think didn't we establish context? Is everything compared to zero? AJ Green, this is the stuff. Let's be let's be happy for AJ Green. You did it, fella. I refuse.

[00:37:28]

All right. Tight end stud's this week, Kittel, he did his thing. We talked about Trae booboos and. Anthony Ferguson, nobody played him, but he was eight for one, 13 and a touchdown. There's no real headline there. I mean, he's like I said, he scored before, he's a really hard work, sir. Yeah, yeah. Jason started the week there and fell seven four seven targets, six, four eighty five and a touchdown last week.

[00:38:00]

As soon as ACoNs went out, I was saying, get fellows out there. Jason this week started him, signed him, played him, endorsed him and wanted to. He was great.

[00:38:10]

Are we going to bring that up. I didn't think we were going to bring that up. Yeah I did. I Steinfels for our league of record to play him. It was the start of the week. And then he's he was on my bench. I didn't put him in my lineup.

[00:38:24]

Yeah, really. Oh, shoot. Yeah, I do.

[00:38:30]

You didn't tilt for like the whole day. The rest of my day was ruined. I had a bad attitude. I went home with a bad attitude. I went to bed with a bad attitude. But at least for all the foot clan that started there, Infeld's, at least you got them.

[00:38:48]

And then we had a waterbed. A tight end water bet. Rob Gronkowski versus Herb Smith Jr and Gronkowski had a nice game, five for seventy eight and a touchdown thermostat to serve out a nice game. Two four catches, I think. How many hours did he have? Avatar Harry Smith, bigger 50 oh oh oh, you sneaky snake, so nice game from both of those players.

[00:39:14]

That's how water bets are supposed to go like yeah. Were they both good waves and one was better.

[00:39:20]

I agree. And so we'll see. There's, there's some trouble at tight end and maybe both of those players are viable moving forward while the waiver show tomorrow. We'll talk about some options for your team. Stinkers of the week presented by odor eaters. All right, we've got quarterbacks that stink stinks.

[00:39:41]

Dunk hoof man. Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers. What happened?

[00:39:46]

16 four thirty five. I do not know what happened to the Packers came out on fire. It was ten to nothing. There was also an Aaron Rodgers rushing touchdown that I don't know what happened, where he drove forward and his knee hit the ground, but a defender had touched him. It should have been a rushing touchdown. But then it ended up going to Aaron Jones and then Aaron Rodgers proceeded to do nothing after that.

[00:40:11]

Once he threw that pick six, he was a little shell shock, came back, throws another quick interception. And it was like every pass from then on out looked weird from Rodgers. Him and Adams were out of sync. He was overthrown, guys. It was just it was a weird game. And afterwards, Aaron Rodgers talked about we needed to get our butts kicked so we can stop, you know, sniffing our own.

[00:40:34]

Mm. Our own farts over here.

[00:40:36]

Yeah. It's just so unexpected. The NFL is crazy. Every week you get two or three games. You're like, what, what happened? And Rodgers gets Adams back and puts up a turd. Yep. And makes it a little bit harder to think he's locked and loaded every single week. Teddy Bridgewater, this was not it was not a great game against Chicago Bears. Yeah. Yeah. So they're not impervious. And then Big Ben, not a good week.

[00:41:05]

Like I said, only twenty two pass attempts in this game. And then Matthew Stafford, not a great one to twenty three and one he had I think they had but three rushing touchdowns on the one three. You know Kenny Golladay pulled down on the one. Yeah. Peterson Swift had two touchdowns. It was an unfortunate output result for fantasy purposes. But do take solace in the fact that of how good the team looked. The offense looked very good and Matthew Stafford was finally bombing the the ball down the field again after the week of rest.

[00:41:38]

Yeah. Yeah. All right. Running back disappointments. There are quite a few. Oh, man. Alexander Madison. Ten for twenty six. This one hurt a lot. He is not. Now, no, he is not Dalvin Cook, I was hoping that we could get 80 something percent of Dalvin Cook the match up was there. The game took a turn for an even better game script of a team that needs to come back. And Alexander Madsen seeing some of those sweet, you know, just check downs, get some, get him the PPR bump and then.

[00:42:14]

No, it was, it was in fact a Abdullah was the passing noun's running back for the Minnesota Vikings.

[00:42:20]

Who are you more disappointed in the rhetoric around the week from coaching staff saying, hey, we don't change anything about Madison, or is it Madison himself for not having a good performance?

[00:42:28]

It's Madison. It's Madison, for sure. Sounds like you're mad. I am I am mad is so mad, son. I'm mad, son, because he stunk. And, you know, ten carries against the Atlanta defense should not result in twenty six yards.

[00:42:45]

Maybe if he did better with those carries early in the game, they're not, you know, and they're able to run the ball. They're not throwing as many interceptions. They're in the game at this.

[00:42:53]

This was a huge disappointment from Alexander Madison, a player we've waited two years to see this game. Yeah. And and it was on the back of a second half the week prior. Like, look, Madison doesn't suck. He just flat out doesn't. We saw it the week prior. This was a terrible game and it sucked. And I blame him for it.

[00:43:16]

There's a bye week in our reports from Minnesota. I have the number at ninety nine point ninety nine percent. The Dalvin Cook will be back on the field. This is what you get from Alexander Madison. The hard part is he's rostered everywhere and now of Cook goes out again.

[00:43:32]

You're not guaranteed. Kareem Hunt.

[00:43:35]

He had a hard time against Pittsburgh. The whole Cleveland offense looked like it was. What we've seen, not what we were hoping for, so 13 for 40, he ran hard, Baker probably should not have played. He was he you saw last week he got hurt. He had the rib problem. He was shaking his arm for the whole second half of last week. And then Pittsburgh, they are they are tenacious about getting to the quarterback. So Baker had a really rough game.

[00:44:06]

He did not play the whole game, right? Yeah. He came off. They took him out eventually. Todd Gurley. Twenty four. Forty seven when he doesn't score. Well, Mike, I loved what you said last week because it it made sense. Todd Gurley was Kenyon Drake with touchdowns. Mm hmm. And he did not get the touchdown this week. He does get a lot of work, though.

[00:44:26]

And so he's still somebody you're going to start. Yeah.

[00:44:29]

You've got Detroit and then Carolina the next two weeks. All right. Yeah, he's fine.

[00:44:34]

All right. Here, we need to have a discussion here. Antonio Gibson. I thought he'd take it to one hundred this week, he he did not nine for thirty five targets, four catches Jany McKissic thirty nine. Snapp's Antonio Gibson. Twenty seven snaps Yep. Sometimes the dream is not the reality. And right now, look, the one thing I brought up about McKissic in the off season was the fact that this head coach brought him in. It wasn't it wasn't the previous regime.

[00:45:06]

At this point in time, it seems very difficult to trust Gibson on a week to week basis because of all the inconsistency in the offense. And the snap counts are now going his way.

[00:45:15]

Yeah, Stamkos thought the snap counts are not there. And McKissic was. McKissic was the one concern I had for Antonio Gibson during the off season, I wasn't worried about Peterson, wasn't worried about Bryce love. I felt that Gibson could surpass those guys on the depth chart. But the passing work, McKissack, was the issue Washington threw. It's not a shock to any of us. They are bad. They they are not a good football team right now.

[00:45:43]

And when they are trailing, it's JD McKissic. And so that's where the coaching staff has the trust. And I don't see that changing like Dallas. They're going to be losing the Dallas. Then they get to play the Giants again. Maybe they can have a better performance against them. But it's Antonio Gibson probably has to go to your bench for the next couple of weeks. I mean, Gibson did have five, you know, five targets in this.

[00:46:09]

Yeah. Five in the last three weeks. Every single week is getting five targets, averaging about, you know, north of fifteen opportunities a game. Feel like there's enough opportunity being given to him that you can still take the shot at a breakaway touchdown because of his athleticism. But obviously he's been, you know, disappointing the running back. Twenty five, twenty eight and twenty five, three of the last four weeks.

[00:46:31]

Well, and I should highlight the actual numbers from McKissack. Eight targets, eight target, six targets the last three weeks or so. And he had fourteen opportunities. So it's tough. I mean. You have to make more of your opportunities in a bad situation like you don't have the room for. You don't have the golden opportunities. I think if you get at the goal line, Gibson is going to get the ball more often than not. So almost feels a little bit like starting David Montgomery week to week four, where Montgomery can find his way into the end zone.

[00:47:00]

You're like, all right, I guess I'm glad I played him this week. So I'd love to see that big breakaway touchdown from Gibson, though, I mean, I we all would. All right. Carmakers didn't touch the ball.

[00:47:11]

Well, we're going to get a more involved you well into just dump them right now.

[00:47:17]

I roster spots are at a premium buy weeks covid probably. I mean, I think I'm willing to cut them. I think you you might have to. Henderson looks great. He does. And you know who looks terrible? Malcolm Brown.

[00:47:31]

I mean, every time they gave him the ball is like, slow down, Brown. Yeah, I was like, what are you doing? How is it at least not the Henderson Acres one two punch. All right, I here's blooper up at the wide receiver position. Cooper Kupp in three for eleven. In this game he had nine targets. He should have had two touchdowns. He had one blatant like in zone to feed in ball in his hand.

[00:47:58]

Should have been a touchdown. The other one he broke free down the field and lost the ball in the lights are turning. You know you could say what you want. Maybe you should have caught him. Maybe he shouldn't have. But opportunities. Yes. Execution night. I was going to say at the at the end of the day, what matters is how it came about. Was the player bad? Is this worrisome for the future? And it's not.

[00:48:18]

He had a terrible end result. But you can still rely on Cooper Kupp. The Rams are still trying to rely on him. He should have had a good game.

[00:48:28]

And I think that's the point of this whole segment is trying to find players. You're actually concerned about Evans and Godwin Evans? I'm not worried about him, but there was a disappointing performance. This is what we've come to expect from Evans. Every once in a while. He just poof, disappears. Two targets, one catch no touchdowns this time. And then Chris Godwin, what is the what is the right way to think about Chris Godwin? Seven targets, five for forty eight.

[00:48:54]

Better defense than James had no shootout situation.

[00:48:58]

Well, on top of that, you have you have a run game now like Ronald Jones looks fantastic. He he is a different player this year.

[00:49:09]

The they are able to actually function on the ground where last year it was Jamous would often put the team into a hole. They would have to climb out with the passing game. The running game really couldn't get things going on top of that. So everything went to Mike Evans. Chris Godwin, this is I think you do need to know I'm not going to panic on these guys, but you do need adjust expectations that game scripts are simply not going to be in their favor every single week.

[00:49:37]

I'm I'm a little bit more worried about Mike Evans. I think he's someone that you might be able to trade high based on the touchdowns he's had. Obviously bad week. So it feels like it might be difficult. But I will say this. If you look at the games where Chris, you know, Chris Collins played in three games, here are Mike Evans lines in those three games, one reception for two yards, two receptions for two yards and one reception for ten yards.

[00:50:02]

Touchdowns came in some of those. But it's it's one of those things where you mix in the game script, you mix in the defense, the running game and Chris Godwin. And all of a sudden Mike Evans is going to he's still he'll still have his big down the field, big plays, big games. But I think more often than not, he's going to not be very good.

[00:50:25]

One of the things I think you brought up in the off season, Jason, was the idea that you're drafting Evans and Godwin at their absolute ceiling with where they were going in fantasy drafts. And it wasn't that they're not talented. It was that they needed to do what they did last year to justify the draft position. And any changes to this offense aren't going to bring them upwards. Most likely, that's pretty compelling. The splits with Godwin in the lineup, that does make me want to maybe shot Mike Evans because touchdowns, those are tough to predict.

[00:50:56]

And Gronkowski getting involved. I mean, maybe it takes him a little bit of time and all of a sudden that's another red zone weapon that takes the what, the one yard evins touchdowns away. Interesting, Allan Robinson, nine targets, five for 53, no worries there, no worries about Davonte Adams. Nope, no worries about D.J. Chaque. In my mind, 14 targets men. She has been real up and down accuracy wise. He has seven point forty five Richard didn't even think was going to play so orangery he did not get reinjured.

[00:51:26]

Keelan Cole actually came through with a pretty big game. Just there was a there was a connection problem with J and Gardner for this particular game.

[00:51:34]

Balcomb, who I loved coming into the week with how Pittsburgh was twenty eighth against opposing fantasy wide receivers. I don't know if there was any downfield targets to go around. I mean, the one thing I noticed different about Keenum compared to Baqer, like if I went into the game as a quarterback. And I do wear a flak jacket and my ribs were like destroyed, one of my hot tips would be the Jimmy Garoppolo game script where the ball was out of my hands.

[00:52:03]

It's into the it's Kareem Hunt. It's to the screen game. It's hey, it's first read. Let it fly. Don't hit me in the ribs. Baker just stood there the whole game. He never let it go, I don't know what happened. You saw several plays once Case Keenum came in where it was three step drop, release the ball. And it's like keep whatever money the make up in Patrick interception made him gunshy.

[00:52:31]

Had to just sling it. I don't know. It was gross and as a result, only four targets for Balcomb, I believe one of his two catches came from Keenum, but brighter days ahead, I think, for this team. But they'll be able to establish their offense against Cincinnati and probably Las Vegas because of the running game. Pittsburgh is a different beast in terms of trying to match them and be able to get it done in the passing game first.

[00:52:56]

So I'm not doing anything with home. Are you guys worried about it? I'm not worried. It just that you have to understand this is this is part of the of the Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns experience for backup. Yeah, it is what you're going to get the rest of the season. Good games mixed with bad games. We could bring up Marquese Brown in the same breath. You're going to have possibilities of big plays and you're going to have some bad games.

[00:53:23]

He had thirty percent of the arts. That's usually phenomenal, right?

[00:53:27]

I would love to have that percentage, yes. But if the yards week in and week out are going to be one hundred and eighty nine passing yards from, you know, Lamar Jackson, you're you're going to need 60 percent of the yards to have a great game.

[00:53:41]

That's not probably going to need a touchdown. Yes, you're going to need a touchdown. And so but both of those players become brown. They have big upside, big play ability, their playmakers. So you can you could throw them in your lineup and hope for the good games. I mean, there's not that many wide receivers in fantasy that are just week in and week out consistent. So you go for high upside, guys.

[00:54:06]

All right. Juju four targets, two, four, six. I'm going to ask a tough question here. Do you cut Juju Smith? Schuster, forget about the name and move on. You know, there's an option to go get a Traves Fulgham, there's an option to go get a player like, I don't know, Brandin Cooks and here's Juju with the big name. And there's not going to be a forever time to cash in on the name.

[00:54:28]

You guys know how I feel, so I want to see where you're at.

[00:54:30]

We've said this before. We said this early in the season with AJ Green, even though he felt droppable, when you have a big name, you don't drop them, you trade them. And even if you're going to, you know, someone out there in a package deal, when you just throw in just use it as a throw in juju to to upgrade somewhere else, I think he can push the needle on someone wanting to take a chance on him on the big name, on the production.

[00:54:58]

But what you're saying, Andy, is, you know, who has a better season, Fulgham or Juju Smith. Schuster Fulgham. Who's still on some waiver wires or Juju?

[00:55:06]

That's not an easy question to answer. And, you know, so you're going to get a lot more from Juju in a trade. It's a good point with the trade, that's a way to cash in on names, get a little bit of the it's like getting the value back, not trading, you know, not getting zero back on your investment from the draft. You get like a partial return, like get out while you can write the stop loss.

[00:55:29]

Got to know when to hold them and know when to forgo them. Yeah.

[00:55:32]

Yeah. Well, try them all. We'll get Foljambe, Millennium Falcon. We'll try them out. Have you got one. Send it in. We're still not there. Send it in to Fulgham at fantasy footballers dot com.

Is Julian Edelman done for fantasy football purposes?

[00:55:48]

Yeah, I think you might argue for NFL purposes he is gross. I mean is like he's hurt. He started the year he gave it everything. He had had his career high in week two hundred and seventy nine yards and he just looks beat up.

[00:56:05]

He's leading the NFL in drops and he hasn't played as many weeks as other other wide receivers. He also had the bye week to get healthy, came back out there some warming up.

[00:56:14]

I was like, maybe he's back. It is worth noting. And it really pumping the brakes on the entire Patriots performance, whether that's Cam, Damien Harris, Julian Edelman, they had two of their offensive linemen go on the entire list. The entire offensive linemen shift around. Nobody was playing their normal position. And so, you know, you saw Denver control that game. Part of that was because the Patriots offensive line was unexpectedly trashed. As far as you know, they didn't have the time to prepare and really plan.

[00:56:48]

And so Denver did it better than.

[00:56:51]

Yeah, in that in that to expand.

[00:56:53]

And if you take Edelman, environment is hurt or if he's washed, which he could absolutely be. Good luck. Good luck campaigning, leaning on the Harry and Dimir bird. No, there have been several offenses that have actually leaned on Damir Byrd in recent years, and they have all been very bad.

[00:57:10]

Well, they they are in the running for that number one pick, though, usually. Yeah.

[00:57:16]

Wasn't that Arizona? That is correct, yeah. With Josh Rosen leaning on Dimir Byrd to make his career, Jamison Crowder got thirteen targets, but only caught seven of them. Come on, Jamie Lacco effect.

[00:57:27]

If he's if he's in a full PPR, you get seven receptions. You're OK.

[00:57:31]

I would trade him now. Sure, Chad Perriman came back in this game. Yeah, the team is spiraling, if you can cash in on these big weeks, I don't know that that be my thought, but I don't I don't mind. I don't know if anyone's going to trade for Jamison Crowder. That's a fair point. That's a good point. Crowder is Crowder's just he's he's the perfect depth piece for your bench. Tight ends. Are you worried about any of these bad performances?

[00:57:55]

Marc Andrews, you're going to you're going to have a lot of.

[00:57:57]

But he is not a Kittel. He is not a Kelsi because of what we've talked about with Lamar Jackson. You're going to have big games and bad games. Yeah. You hope for that. He's he's probably the highest to touchdown probability player at the tight end position and yet not going to have the yards. Might get sick, though. This was horrible. Yes. And Adam Shaheen was involved. Yeah. I think you might want to look for a different option from that is so disappointing.

[00:58:21]

Guzik that's that's utterly insubordinate. And Robert Titanyen. Not yet. I want to move on from Titanyen yet this is not really the game to evaluate the Green Bay Packers offense on Evan Engram.

[00:58:38]

Oh, yes. Oh, yeah. Sorry. Yeah, you done. Jimmy Grandpaw, eight targets, I don't think I'm done with Jimmy Granpa with the target. No, you're the Eric Ebron. Give up all hope. Yeah, Eric is is, you know what, the fifth option in the offense. So I don't think you can rely on him.
