So far, my career is probably the most insane game I've played.

[00:00:03]

You know, boy genius. Brandon Staley called a timeout. I didn't know if you guys were going to go. Were you guys going to let it ride out? We are talking about the almost tie game, Chargers versus the Raiders with Max Crosby. You guys were extremely hyped going into this game. I mean, this is wing, get in.

[00:00:27]

It's probably the best game of the Week 18, winner get in, rival. It's literally everything on the table. We were thinking about doing the tie. We're going to make the playoffs, whatever.

[00:00:40]

What do you think they were thinking?

[00:00:42]

I don't know. And the chargers took the time out.

[00:00:44]

And it was such a Rater win.

[00:00:47]

Oh, yeah.

[00:00:47]

Fuck the world. Fuck the tie. This isn't soccer.

[00:00:52]

No. If I'm at my best and I'm doing my shit at the highest level, then it doesn't matter what they do.

[00:00:58]

Yeah, you're what they What's all a problem. What does it mean to be a Rater?

[00:01:04]

It's about being 100% yourself, like the bad boys back in Rick Mahorn, Bill Lambeer days.

[00:01:10]

No, in the division, who's your guy's rival? Who do you hate the most? Games with Names is a production of iHeartRadio. Welcome to Games with Names. On today's episode, we are talking about the Almost Tie game, Chargers versus the Raters, from week 18 of the season with Max Crosby. We get into talking about his offseason.

[00:01:34]

Putting in work.

[00:01:35]

The work, dedication, his favorite all time... Riders. What it's like being a pro-athlete in Sin City.

[00:02:00]

Also a little Denny Mandola Instagram talk.

[00:02:02]

Oh, our favorite. One of our favorite topics.Dola.Dola Mai. We love you, brother.So.

[00:02:07]

Smoking that guy.He sure is.What.

[00:02:09]

A just a hunk.Hunk-a-runy.Hunk-a-runy. Hey, he's no J-E 11, but we love him.

[00:02:15]

And then we get into doing our first top five that we were talking about, top fives of top fives, and we go over the top five Adam Sandler movies.Let's go.Let's go. January ninth, 2022. Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada.

[00:02:39]

With a tie, the Chargers and Raiders will both make the playoffs.

[00:02:45]

It's 32-32 with less than a minute left in overtime. Wait. Did Brandon Staley just call a time out? This is almost time, Brandon Staley.

[00:03:04]

Okay, Brandon Staley. What are we going to call it? Brandon Staley. Welcome to Games of Names.

[00:03:19]

We got Max Crosby, and we are talking about the almost tie game, Chargers versus the Raiders. The almost tie game. Max Crosby. How are you doing, bro?

[00:03:33]

Amazing. I appreciate you having me on. Get out of here.

[00:03:35]

Mac Daddy. Oh, come on. My guy's a Mac Daddy. I went to Kent State. I played Eastern, Michigan. I think we beat him 13 to 12. It was a barn burner.

[00:03:46]

Sounds about right. Yeah, no doubt.

[00:03:48]

But how are you doing? What's offseason looking like?

[00:03:51]

It's been great, man. I had two surgeries, so I've been recovering, get my knee right, thumb right, about 100% now. I'm very close. So, yeah, I had the bursa removed. Okay, you're good. Ucl surgery on the thumb. That's good. But I've been in Vegas training, getting to it. I'm out here for the week doing some Jordan stuff, so getting after it.

[00:04:13]

I see you work out at the UFC facility, right? Mm-hmm. Now, when did you start? Are you boxing? Because I saw you were boxing. Do you ever grapple with the guys to work on your hand combat? Is that part of your offseason?

[00:04:29]

Yeah. So the majority of the stuff we do is boxing. I've been boxing for three years now. We're actually boxing. But yeah, it's funny. I was just with Glazer today, and we're doing some... He does these hands-on MMA We're happy to type stuff like that. So we're able to do a certain amount of stuff.

[00:04:48]

He gives you the GM grab always. You know the GM grab where they always... You see the GM for the first time in the offseason, and he grabs you. How are you doing? The GM hug.

[00:04:58]

Because they want to see if you've been working, if those muscles have been going. Yeah, he was testing my grip strength and everything. But it's been awesome. It's the first time I've ever worked at that gym, but been getting after it.

[00:05:09]

So you just signed with Jordan Brand?

[00:05:11]

Just signed with Jordan brand.

[00:05:13]

Okay, we got a white guy with Jordan brand.Yeah..

[00:05:17]

You and Luca. It's a big deal.

[00:05:20]

That's a dope brand to work with. I almost signed with them, I think, in '18, but they wanted me to get rid of my J11 stuff. I couldn't I got to get rid of my J-E 11 stuff, man.

[00:05:31]

Couldn't do it.

[00:05:32]

J-e 11 jumped over the jump, man. Stay true.

[00:05:34]

Stay true.

[00:05:35]

Now, why did you choose this game?

[00:05:37]

This game, specifically, honestly, I think it was the most electric, most important, probably biggest game of my life, honestly, in my entire career so far. I mean, that was the only time I made the playoffs. I mean, the sickening as it is to admit that. It's the first time winner get in, rival, week 18. It's literally everything on the table. It's probably the best game of the year. It was back and forth, overtime. It was crazy. So, yeah, this game was so far My career is probably the most insane game I've played.

[00:06:17]

And it was such a Rater win.

[00:06:20]

Oh, yeah.

[00:06:21]

Fuck the world.

[00:06:23]

Yeah.

[00:06:23]

Fuck the tie. Yeah, fuck the tie. We don't play. This isn't soccer.

[00:06:28]

No.

[00:06:29]

Okay. You know, Boyd genius. Brandon Staley called a time out. I didn't know if you guys were going to go and maybe let that thing right out. Were you guys going to let it right out?

[00:06:42]

Fuck, no. And I didn't even hear about this. Oh, yeah. They were thinking about doing a tie until after the game because we were in a position where we were close in field goal range. But if something fucking tragic happened, they block it or something, we could lose the whole year. But I remember Rich on the sideline, he was going back and forth. What do we do here? And he's like, Fuck it. Just run this power one more time or whatever the play was. And Josh broke loose and got like 12 to 15 yards. And boom, now we're in field goal range. So honestly, it was a fuck you to the chargers because They called the time out, and we were thinking about doing the tie, like taking a knee, and I, fuck it, we're going to make the playoffs, whatever. But they called the time out, and we just said, Fuck it, we're running another play, and we got the first down.

[00:07:26]

What do you think they were thinking?

[00:07:28]

I don't know. I don't know.

[00:07:30]

Were they going to try to get it back and have a plus 50 punt and then try to drive it down with three?

[00:07:35]

It made no sense. Not one bit of sense.

[00:07:39]

Brandon Staley said, We didn't have our right defense in there. He's got all the answers.

[00:07:43]

A Kodak timeout.

[00:07:45]

A time out.

[00:07:46]

You got any Staley stories?

[00:07:50]

Staley stories? I don't have any personal up-close, anything like that. But I just know playing the charters the last couple of years, you expect just the craziest shit. Even in that game, it was the first or second quarter, and they went for it on their own 18. And we were like, What the fuck? We were sitting there, we were like, they're not punning the ball. We're like, Okay, I don't know what they're doing. There's a time and place. I understand aggression and the analytics, but there's a time and place. I mean, biggest game of the year, you can't be going for it on fourth down on your own 18. Yeah.

[00:08:26]

And then the next year, they try to change. You know what I mean? We weren't doing it as much. I mean, it's honestly crazy to me that he called the time out.

[00:08:40]

It's wild.

[00:08:41]

Now, you see that Austin Echler clip?

[00:08:43]

The one after the game?

[00:08:44]

After the game where he was talking to... What was the place?

[00:08:47]

I think it was a long snap. The Riders' Long snapper.

[00:08:49]

Oh, Trent? Yeah.

[00:08:51]

And then the Internet took off with it because he whispers to him, and then Echler rolls his eyes like, No way. And everyone thought he was saying, We're playing for the tie. And Echler couldn't believe it.

[00:09:02]

Yeah, I probably saw it, but yeah, that's crazy.

[00:09:06]

Now, I want to jump into Texas, though. So you're a Texas boy.

[00:09:11]

Yeah.

[00:09:12]

Dallas, Texas. Did you go to one of those high schools That had the crazy stadiums and the crazy everyone just left town, the per diem type shit.

[00:09:22]

Yeah. So it's funny. I originally grew up in Michigan. I lived in Michigan till I was 10. So I was Lapeer, Michigan. Country, fucking. Our high school was like, you know what I mean? It was different. I moved to Texas, and it was like, holy shit. And I played 6A, the highest division, 15,000 damn near in the crowd, packed out. Like, whole parking lot is tailgating, and it was crazy. I mean, the environment was like nothing I've ever seen. And then I ended up going to Eastern, and we had less fans. At least my first two years, we had less fans of my college games. I'm like, what is this shit? There was no tailgate. We were like the worst team in college football. And I was like, fucking high school was more lit than this. But we ended up changing it.

[00:10:05]

That's exactly. I remember when I went to Kent State, it was the same thing. I mean, you playing in front of 3,000 people.

[00:10:14]

Maybe.

[00:10:15]

4,000 people in high school. These Texas kids. I mean, it's religion out there. But that's crazy to go from Michigan, Texas. And your only offer was back to Eastern Michigan.

[00:10:28]

Eastern Michigan. Yeah. And my whole family is from out there. How come? I was a late bloomer. Late bloomer? Yeah. My senior year, I was second team all district. I was a late bloomer. I grew like four inches going into my last year high school. I was a goover. I was a middle I was a linebacker my whole life, my whole high school career. And then I'm almost 6'5.

[00:10:49]

That's why you're so good in that. Because I was watching all your plays. You're always good with pullers. You know how to shed block or you use quickness. You got long arms. You get into them. That's that linebacker shit.

[00:11:03]

A little bit. I mean, a little bit. I feel like, I don't know. I just had to adapt. My senior year, I was just literally trying to figure out how to play Dian. And my freshman year, honestly, the most important year of my career was my freshman year when I red shirted because I lost a bunch of weight. I got a lot more athletic. I was filling into my body. And my coach was like, no, you're fucking red shirting. I wanted to play, but he's like, you're red shirting. So the whole year, I just got to go on Scout team and fucking learn. Like, all right, this is how I'm going to play. I'm going to try and spin moves, just all different type of shit. And I was winning Scout Team Player of the Week every week. So I was like, this is dope. I can play D-end, and that's when I really fell in love with it. So Yeah, it's crazy how it worked out, but it all happened for a reason. Man.

[00:11:50]

Now, what do you think your best pass-through rush move is?

[00:11:54]

My double swipe is my go-to. Swipe, swipe? Stab, swipe, voodoo, ride, whatever Double sweep, double swipe. You're good at the dip.

[00:12:02]

Strong arm dip.

[00:12:03]

Yeah, take it away a little bit. Yeah, there's a lot of things. I feel like my spin move, my outside spin move is when I can do it, it's dangerous. Wide nine.

[00:12:13]

You just tee off on them.

[00:12:14]

Wide nine. There's a lot of different things. I feel like I can do a lot of different moves at a high level, though, for sure.

[00:12:20]

Now, how do you work on those moves? Are you merking on those moves? Because I remember I'd always play with defensive ends, and you walk down the hallway, fucking Rob's walking, Nikovitch, passing-every wall, door, corner.

[00:12:33]

That's a real thing. It is. Yeah, I can't walk in a room. I mean, that's every time.

[00:12:37]

We had Whitworth on.

[00:12:40]

Stud. I love that guy. Stud.

[00:12:41]

I love that guy. And he would talk about he felt defensive ends didn't scout their tackles. Do you scout tackles and what their strengths are? He could always tell if a guy watched film on them or just throwing shit.

[00:13:00]

Yeah, no, I definitely do. I come from a... I mean, the guy my biggest influence as a coach has been Rob Marinelli, and you probably heard of him. He had Warren Sapp, Julius Peppers, numerous Hall of Famers. I had him my second and third year, and that was my last... I mean, this season right here, that was my third year, and that's where I took off. And that dude is all about watching your film. Every lineman you go against is a fucking gray face. It's nothing. They're all the same. If you do what you're supposed to do, get off pad level, hands, fight area, if you understand all the things you're supposed to do at the best of your ability and apply it, it doesn't matter who the fuck is in front of you, and it doesn't matter what they do. They're eventually going to get broken. You know what I mean? I watch film on other guys, of course. I try to pick up during the week. All right, who's giving away pass? Who's giving away run? What little things I can pick up? But the majority of the film I'm watching is my own film on repeat.

[00:13:58]

I watch my practices every night, and then I'll watch a game or two games, and then, okay, I'll throw on this guy versus whoever. But at the end of the day, I can't sit here and watch the Steelers versus Giants and expect them to block me the same way they block some other guys. Because you can go into the plant, okay, they're going to do this and this, and then they fucking throw three people at me. You know what I mean? We went to the Colts game this week 17. Robo comes up to me, Rob Ryan, one of the coolest fucking dudes I've ever met. Great coach. He comes up to me. All right, this is the week. Colts, they don't chip. They five man up. They're going to man you. And I got double team chipped the whole game. And I'm like, fuck. You know what I mean? But that's why I can sit there and anticipate and think they're going to do this and whatever. But for me, if I'm at my best and I'm doing my shit at the highest level, then it doesn't matter what they do.

[00:14:50]

Yeah, you're what they call a problem. When I was playing, we were to ever play a guy like you You're at that caliber where you're dedicating a 30-plate clip in front of the whole team in the team meeting. One of the keys to victory, which is never usually a player, but Crosby is that guy where he's a problem, and you can see it in the run game. You could see it in the past game. They're sending chips, running backs. When I saw you get through three. Now it brings me with all what you just said, all those techniques and everything. No one can stop you. That all has to change. And all those schemes and all that mindset changes when you're going against the Chiefs, though, right? Because rushing Patrick Mahomes, it's got to be different.

[00:15:40]

Yeah, no doubt. I mean, that's the thing. Every week is a new... You know how it is.

[00:15:45]

This is a division game, though. They know you, you know them, you know what they're doing, but you also know what the guy like him. You can't give him a gaping lane, and then he's going to create. So you got to be patient. You can't get past the quarterback. That's the worst place to be. Especially with him, that's got to be a tough one, huh?

[00:16:03]

It's a different battle. I mean, that's the thing. You're division guys. I see Herbert, Mahomes, all these guys over and over again. The teams, like you said, they know each other so well, and you know your opponent, you know exactly what they're going to do. But it's who's going to be more prepared and who had a better week leading up to that game, who took care of their body better. It's the littlest details I think that matter in those type of matchups because you already know what the hell they're going to do. And you're playing a A guy like Mahomes, you cannot let him breathe. You know what I mean? You have to be on his ass the whole time. Herbert's the same way. If you give Herbert a little bit of breathing room, he's going to come back and make a play. So we preach that all the time, and that's why we were able to beat. At the end of the year, we beat the Chargers, beat the Broncos, beat the Chiefs. It's because we didn't let up at all. We were on it from the go. We got two sacs first drive, and we just kept rolling.

[00:16:53]

And that's what you got to do with those type of quarterbacks.

[00:16:56]

Now, in the division, who's your guy's rival? Who do you hate the most? And is it the Chiefs because they've just been running it for a while? Or is it... Who's your...

[00:17:06]

I mean, I hate them all. I will say that. I hate the Chiefs. I hate them all in different ways. The Chargers are like, when they're If things are going well, everyone's like, oh, my God, they're going to... But they're front runners. We know who they are. Amen. We know who they are. And I'm going to just be real. And they know what it is. They're front runners. So, yeah, they're that. Chiefs, they earned it. I mean, they're the best in the league. Three Super Bowl. Everybody has their own opinions. They hate certain things about the Chiefs, but I respect the shit out of them. Until we do something about it and beat them. I got to tip the cap to them. They're doing it right now. That Christmas Day game this year. Yeah, that's the type of shit. I beat him twice and 10 times, so I can't say shit about him. I respect him, though. I love playing him. I love playing my homes. I love playing the best. It's fucking awesome. But yeah, we hate the Chiefs. In a different way. They're a little bit more... They know that team, so they carry themselves a certain way.

[00:18:05]

And then the Broncos, it's a different type of hate as well. I love playing the Broncos. They're probably my favorite team, to be honest. I love playing the Broncos. Every time we play them, I know it's about to be a big day.

[00:18:19]

You don't feel the altitude up there?

[00:18:21]

It's my favorite place to play, Mile High. Like the grass, huh? Yeah. For some reason, I don't know, since I was a rookie, it's been my favorite place. It's different. It's fucking in the mountains. The drive up is like, it's about to go down. So, yeah, I don't know what it is about there, but I love playing in Denver, and I just love playing the Broncos in general.

[00:18:40]

I fucking hated it.

[00:18:42]

What, in Denver?

[00:18:42]

We lost two AFC Championships in goddamn Denver. Damn. It was goddamn. We were banking on snowy days. They were like 75 and sunny in a February or a January. Who are some of the past rushers you looked up to growing up? Or who inspired you to get in this? Not get in this, but who did you model your game after?

[00:19:09]

My two biggest inspirations when I was a kid growing up I was a linebacker my whole life. But as far as D. Lyman, I grew up a Lyman's fan. So Dominic and Sue, he was my favorite player. The way he played, nasty, mean, didn't give a damn. He was just murdering people out there. I love watching Sue. And then the other one was JJ. I love the way JJ played. He played the run and pass similar. And he was making just as many plays in the run game as pass game. And that's something that I think is super important. And that's why I feel like it separates myself is that I'm making shit ton of TFLs and plays in the run game when a lot of guys are just waiting for third down so they can gitty up. You know what I mean? Every play matters.

[00:19:54]

No, that's good to hear. That's good to hear from a star because it's not easy being in every down end. Like you said, guys that wait for that third down, they got this package, they're rested, they're not in every play. There's some badass motherfuckers that do that. That's like a relief pitcher. Of course. You want to be that starter that goes, finished a complete game. Yeah, complete game.

[00:20:23]

No hitter. There's only a very select feel for a star.

[00:20:27]

We'll be right back after this quick break.

But the longer this drives on, the more worry he's getting.

[00:21:26]

They knew that they needed to do this as fast as they possibly to get a drug on the market as fast as they could. I'm David Garura.

[00:21:34]

I'm Sarah Holder. I'm Salaya Mohsen. We cover the stories behind what's moving money in markets.

[00:21:39]

Basically, everyone was expecting, if not a calamity, certainly a recession. But the problem is that that paperwork, as our reporting showed, is fake. As someone who's covering the market, I'm often very worried about an imminent collapse. I'm thinking about it quite often. Listen to the big take on the iHeard radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Next.

[00:22:01]

I'm Salaya Mohsant, and I've covered economic policy for years and reported on how it impacts people across the United States. In 2016, I saw how voters were leaning towards Trump and how so many Americans felt misunderstood by Washington. So I started the Big Take DC. We dig into how money, politics, and power shape government and the consequences for voters.

[00:22:24]

It's an election year, so there's a lot of focus on the voters that TikTok is reaching.

[00:22:29]

The initial reaction is like, Oh, things are looking so resilient.

[00:22:33]

I don't want to be too pessimistic, but I just don't see the political will down in Washington right now to change their tune. I think the American electorate has been signaling that it expects a rematch of the 2020 election. These are unprecedented times.

[00:23:02]

You're Spider-Man guy?

[00:23:04]

No, I'm not into... I wasn't really into that type of shit when I was a kid. I like UFC and crazy shit like that. I wasn't into Marvel and all that. It's cool, but I When I came out to the Tobey Maguire one, I was like, All right, I'm good with this. Yeah.

[00:23:18]

Because this is a segment we do is where we go back in time. Let's go back around January 10th, 2022. Now, when we did the Immacular Reception, and we're talking '60s. I mean, this is two years ago. This is pretty new. That Spider-Man movie is good for the kid, though. Girl, Dad. The little kid. It's a cartoon one, right? Yep. Is that cartoon? No, that's not the cartoon one. Is that the Tom Holland one? That's the third of the Tom Holland.

[00:23:49]

Spider-man.

[00:23:49]

Yeah, my bad. I'm thinking the Miles Morales one. Sorry about that.

[00:23:52]

Is this where Rihanna revealed she was pregnant at a halftime show?

[00:23:56]

Yes. No, sorry. This was her first kid with ASAP.

[00:24:02]

John Maddon died. Tomard D. Rosen, I remember.

[00:24:04]

John Maddon died. Like two weeks. Do you remember that? R. I. P.

[00:24:07]

Do you ever meet him? No, I didn't get to meet him. Man. Yeah, that dude's an icon. Absolute icon.

[00:24:14]

Now, What does it mean to be a Rader?

[00:24:17]

I mean, there's a lot of definitions. What's your definition? For me, it's about being 100% yourself, being like the bad boys back in the Rick Mahorn, Bill Lambeer days. That's what I fell in love with immediately. When I got drafted by the Raters, I'm like, That makes sense. You know what I mean? Especially that time in my life, I was figuring out who I was and going through a lot of shit, and I'm like, This makes too much sense. So, yeah, being a Rader is just being different, being unapologetic about who you are. And that's what AP preaches heavy. It's like, Be who the fuck you're going to be. It doesn't mean be a psycho or be crazy. But at the same time, don't Don't shy away from who you are. So I think it gives guys a lot of confidence out there.

[00:25:05]

Who's the Mount Rushmore of the Rader Way? Wow. The Mount Rushmore. Wow.

[00:25:11]

Just players or coaches?

[00:25:13]

The Rader Inner Nation Way.

[00:25:17]

You got to put Al Davis number one. Al Davis number one. You got to put John Maddon.

[00:25:24]

Two coaches are taking up too small like that.

[00:25:25]

You got to. They've changed the whole game. And then players, shit. I'm going to say my personal. I have to go Charles Woodson. Nice. Teammate. Charles Woodson. Yeah, legend. Fuck. I mean, that's going to piss somebody off. Howie Long, Kenny Steeple. Howie was- Jack Tatum. I have to go Howie. I have to go Howie. Howie Long. Dude, Howie Long. He's a fucking great dude. I work with him. Absolute legend, too. He's awesome.

[00:25:55]

Have you seen his movie, Broken Arrow? Was it Broken Arrow?

[00:25:58]

No. He's got a movie.

[00:25:59]

Well, he was in a big time. He was a movie star. Howie Long is a movie star? In the '90s. He walked away from it. He walked away from it because he didn't like doing the football pregame and doing Hollywood. He wanted to spend some... He was in the rut of being an NFL football player where you're not spending time with your family, so he gave up Hollywood. Damn. He was doing some big time movies with John Travolta.

[00:26:21]

Chr. Slater.

[00:26:22]

Chr.

[00:26:23]

Slater. See, I need to do my research. That's insane. I knew he was a huge star back in the day, but I didn't know he was in movies. How old are you? I'm 26. 26? Yeah, 26.

[00:26:35]

Man, he's in the prime. Got paid. He's going to get another couple of contracts. No doubt. Now, what's up with the Raiders fans? You're there during the transition from Oakland because I grew up in the Bay. I was a Niners fan. I started liking the Raiders a little when Jerry went over. I always loved Tim Brown.

[00:26:54]

Legend.

[00:26:55]

I loved Rich Gannon because he was doing all that sidearm shit. But I grew up a Niners fan, so I can't give it all to the Raiders. But I remember my parents when we went and played the Raiders in 2010, when you went into the Oakland Stadium and you were in a Opposing Fans or Opposing Teams Jersey. My parents had to be like, Yo, we're from the Bay Area. This is our son. He's playing. We got to just let everyone know. Have you had any crazy fan interactions with these guys?

[00:27:30]

I mean, definitely. I mean, Rater fans are everywhere. I mean, anywhere you go, there's going to be Rater fans, but Oakland Rater fans are different. I mean, it was a fucking shit show. You're trying to pull out of a parking lot after games, and there's fans just smacking on your windows and going crazy. It was just different. I mean, there's a million stories I could say. There's one guy that sat outside of the facility. There was a group of these people every day. They're waiting there, sign autographs. Then eventually you're like, Okay, the same guy is fucking here every single day. There's this one guy. I'm not going to expose him, but I'm going to slightly expose him. He knows who he is, this fucking guy. I hope you're watching. But he had a very unique... You knew he stood out in the crowd. I'll just say that. We ended up finding out, Hey, man, I got you about it. He always had a good excuse for why he needed this This thing signed. And then we found his website. He had a full blown memorabilia page, all our shit. So I went up the next day.

[00:28:38]

I said, What is this? And he looked at me like he saw a ghost. And I was like, Come on, bro. I'm like, I will sign for anybody. I'll sign for any grandma, child, whatever. I'm like, But come on, bro. Be better. I'm like, What are we doing?

[00:28:52]

That's new to the world, man. Sometimes you go some places and they'll send the kids.

[00:28:57]

Oh, yeah. They're grooming them.

[00:28:59]

You can always know who the autograph people are because they look like carnies.

[00:29:07]

Oh, yeah.

[00:29:08]

A little carny-y. They have a story.

[00:29:13]

Very unique look all of them.

[00:29:15]

If you're doing blanks, you know you're dealing with that. It's even worse when they start bringing in the kids. I've seen kids used by these people.

[00:29:27]

Numerous times. If you see the blue marker, that's the I just found out a couple of years ago. But the blue marker, that's the one you got. If they have a blue marker, do not sign because they can sell it. I didn't know if. That's what I found out. I'm like, these motherfuckers. Now, every time I see a blue marker, I call it out and they're like, and get all awkward. I'm like, you fucker. Man.

[00:29:46]

Now, going over to Vegas, how was that?

[00:29:50]

Amazing. I mean, we went over- The guys' facility, by the way, is like the Taj Mahal, as Bill Belichick called it, I believe.

[00:29:55]

The Taj Mahal of it. I mean, it's spectacular. Everything's right there at the stadium. But how was that transitioning in general? Like fan-based shit, moving out, living in Vegas is completely different than Oakland and the Bay Area.

[00:30:14]

Yeah, totally.

[00:30:15]

What was that like?

[00:30:17]

It was definitely weird because we came over in that offseason, COVID hit. So it was March. Everyone's out in Vegas. I'm out there with my family. I I bought a house. This is the fucking greatest thing ever. Having the time of my life. March hits and everything shut down. So then it delayed all the process of the construction, and even the facility wasn't even fully done. But we were already moved over. There's nothing you could do now. We left Oakland. So it was weird. First season in Vegas, no fans, zero. Mark was like, No, we're... So I'm like, All right, whatever. No fans. Some teams were like, Okay, 15, 20 %. None. I played that year. It was two years I mean, I played against you in New England. But yeah, it was just... It was weird. It was like a scrimmage. Like scrimmage. It was just weird. That's the only way to describe it.

[00:31:08]

You never in a pro game. It low-key reminded me of some of them Ken State games. I haven't felt that in a minute where if you could hear the other team, like, Yo, you can hear your boys clapping for you and shit. That's when you know. Where's the scrimmage?

[00:31:23]

It was different. I mean, guys having a conversation in the huddle, and you could hear everything.

[00:31:28]

What's up with Mark What do you mean? Any Davis stories?

[00:31:32]

Mark? I mean, Mark is- I met Mark.

[00:31:34]

He was a cool dude to me. And I'm a huge Al Davis guy. He was a pioneer and a cornerstone of this league. He was a coach. And then he was how he got the team. I mean, he did a badass thing. But what's Mark like?

[00:31:48]

Yeah, Mark's a good dude. He's a really nice dude. I mean, he's been awesome. I mean, ever since I got in the league, there's not many owners that you can say that smoke cigars with their players and shit like that. And I mean, Mark will hit me up and we'll smoke a cigar and shoot the shit. Is he in the facility a lot? Not much. I mean, he's in Vegas full-time, but I don't know what he does, to be honest. But, yeah, me and Marco are cool.

[00:32:15]

When he comes in, does he have a cup of coffee? You always see the owner with something. They always have something that they always bring in. Like, Jerry Jones eating what is the egg McMuffin?Salting that bad boy a little bit.Extra salt. A little extra salt.

[00:32:29]

Mr.

[00:32:30]

Kraft always had the Duncan donuts. What's Mark got?Mark.

[00:32:33]

Has the Fanny pack. The Fanny pack? The Fanny pack. He wears the New Balances, the washed jeans, a white pullover type deal, Raiders, and then he'll have maybe a jacket on, but he always has the white Fanny pack. This thing is from the '80s. You could tell, leather. That thing has gone through a lot.

[00:32:53]

What's in that Fanny pack? I don't know.

[00:32:56]

That is a great question. He probably has keys, chapstick, sunblock. It's probably his three main items in there. The essentials. Yeah, the essentials.

[00:33:05]

Sheez. Bro, Al had a cool look, too. Al had a great look.

[00:33:09]

Always. Jumpsuits.

[00:33:11]

That was fresh.

[00:33:11]

With the croquis. He had bedazzled croquis and the glasses. The hair would be halfway in the air.

[00:33:18]

Drip runs in the family, baby.

[00:33:20]

Oh, yeah. I mean, he had custom bracelets that said Al on him and everything. The dude was a legend.

[00:33:27]

I miss Al Davis. I know. All right, Jack, you set the stage for this game. Let's get into it.

[00:33:32]

Should we run back in time here real quick and contextualize this season a little bit? Let's get through the chargers here real quick. First year of the Brandon Staley era. Short-lived era, but memorable. For all you 4th-down fans, this was also a record for 4th-down conversions, 22 of 34 on the season. A little bit of foreshadowing for this game. Also a little bit of foreshadowing, the 32nd ranked rush defense. There's a reason Josh Jacobs 8 in this game. Some other dudes we got to run through on this team. The Pro Bowlers, Herbert, Keenan Allen, Cory Lindsay, Rashaun Slater, Joey Bosa, Derwin James, some other guys you might know, Asante Samuel Junior, Mike Williams, Joshua Palmer's rookie season, and started out hot four and one, finished five and seven. The front runner mentality. Coming true here. Also, big road victories over the in the Chiefs. That would be the AFC Championship game this year, so it's worth noting. Justin Herbert was also a ball in that year. First charger to throw for over 5,000 yards in the season.

[00:34:40]

Wow. John Harbault. Is he going to make them better?

[00:34:44]

Jimmy.

[00:34:45]

Or John? Jim. Jim. Jim. Jim. Jim.

[00:34:46]

One of them, whatever.

[00:34:47]

I played against John for so many goddamn years in my head. We played the Ravens every year, twice. We were in the same division. We'd play him in the playoffs.

[00:34:56]

No, you guys had classic battles. It's an all-time classic. But yeah, Harbaugh, he's a great coach. Everywhere he's gone, he's had success. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. We got to be at our best, and that's all that really matters. But I expect them to be better. Run. They're going to run the ball. They're going to play action, play hard-nosed defense. They're going to look a lot different. They're going to look a lot different. A lot different.

[00:35:23]

A lot different, like preparing for a Brandon Staley, which is completely different.

[00:35:29]

Shotguns, And then launch that motherfucker.

[00:35:31]

I think it's going to make Justin Herber very good.

[00:35:34]

Yeah, he's going to take it. I think it's going to help him out a lot.

[00:35:38]

Now, who's the tackle that you're always going against in chargers?

[00:35:42]

Last two years has been Pipkins, Trey Pipkins and Slater. This year was Storm Norton.

[00:35:49]

Storm Norton.

[00:35:51]

Tolito, Mac guy.Mac Daddy.Played him in college. And yeah, it was something.

[00:35:57]

Now, when you're playing against Just A, a division rival. But B, a team in this year, Joey Bosa, he was balling out. I would always look over across the sideline. If I saw a cool receiver, I'd be like, I want to outperform this motherfucker. Fuck For sure. Is that your mindset?

[00:36:16]

Yeah, no doubt. When I was younger, especially, I was like, I need to help play in this game. I used to really think about it, but then sometimes I would be thinking too much. You learned you can't do that anymore. Yeah, you can't. It's a young guy. It's a young guy thing for sure. It's definitely fuck them, but I don't think about it as much. You know what I mean? But I go into the game. Every game is important, but a game like this is everything. You win, you're in. So I look over there like, Fuck these motherfuckers.

[00:36:45]

Weaning in. That's a playoff game. Set the stage for the Raiders, Jackie.

[00:36:48]

All right, let's run through these. I thought you were going to jump in.

[00:36:55]

Raiders.

[00:36:56]

See that? You're going to be hanging.

[00:36:59]

Raiders. The stamina was great there.Oh.

[00:37:10]

My gosh.That.

[00:37:10]

Was good.Competitive stamina.Yeah, that was impressive.I.

[00:37:13]

Saw a lot of that on the golf course this morning. Yeah, right.Locked in, baby.All.

[00:37:19]

Right.locked in to the pond.

[00:37:19]

We were shanking them, baby. As Max alluded to earlier, this was a second year in Vegas. Worth noting the first year with fans, Elegion was rocking, especially on night. This was also a team that won four overtime games. A little bit of foreshadowing for this game also. I feel like every time I turned the TV on, it was Derek Carr leading some crazy fourth down overtime conversion, something. This was also its season with some ups and downs. We saw Coach Gruden left. Rich Passaccia took over. There was also some off-the-field incidents with Henry Rugs. The fucking Raiders, baby.

[00:37:58]

That's Raider Way. I mean, just looking through his list, it's like this all happened in one year. It's fucking insane.

[00:38:04]

Crazy.

[00:38:04]

It's insane. That's a diversity right there, boys. It was a lot.

[00:38:08]

It's one of those things where I feel like this would have sunk a lot of teams, but you guys making it to the playoffs. That's tough. A testament to that locker room and that squad. Were there like... We talked on here the other week with Matthew Slater of having state of the Union meetings with the players. Were there any pivotal, we like players only meeting, how are we getting through this shit talks?

[00:38:29]

Yeah. I mean, Right after the whole Gruden thing happened, we went to go play Chicago the week before, and they leaked one of the emails, and they was talking about some guy or whatever. And then it was just like, you could tell Gruden was so sick about it. And he would tell you himself, he was not ready to call a game. And everybody felt that. And then after we lose to Chicago with a rookie Justin Fields, couldn't score at all. And after that game, all of a sudden, the floodgates open. All the emails come out, all this shit. So all hell breaks loose. And I'm getting calls from Mayak, calls from different people.

[00:39:11]

Did he lose the locker room? Did some guys get mad or were guys like...

[00:39:16]

It wasn't necessarily about like, fuck this much. It wasn't like, Fuck Coach Groot. It was just like, I mean, you're in the middle of the season. You're like, What the fuck? I mean, there's no way you can rationalize it or how the fuck. It's from twelve years ago. You know what I mean? Or eleven years. It was something crazy. Everyone's just like, what the fuck? And Gruden has real relationships. I love John. I mean, John Gruden, he knows he fucking said some shit. I mean, everybody has shit they regret to saying crazy shit. I'm not saying what he said was right at all. And he'll say the same thing. But John Gruden is a fucking good dude. I love Coach Gruden. And I mean, he's like family to me. So, yeah, it sucked. You're like, this is a dude that drafted me. Fucking got a great relationship. I know his wife, his family, his kids, his son works as our strength coach, and he's fucking still in the building to this day. So it's like, I mean, they're family to me. Deuce. Exactly. Deuce is a fucking stout as they come. But, yeah, it was crazy.

[00:40:11]

I mean, that whole thing went down and it happened so fast. And the next day, I'm literally with my wife in Gruden's house. He's sitting like the godfather in this beautiful, massive house, just sitting there in the corner, tears. And he was just shook. And I'm just like, damn. And I'm feeling for him because he feels stupid He feels he's being attacked, whatever. But we had to keep going. I mean, it happened. Rich came in, and Rich was like, This is what we're going to do.

[00:40:38]

What do you guys call Rich with that last name?

[00:40:41]

Basaccia. Basaccia? Fucking love that guy. Basaccia. Yeah, we call him Rich, though. I mean, I still talk to him. I just faced him a couple of days ago. I talk to him all the time.

[00:40:49]

I mean, you guys showed mental toughness by dealing with everything you did and by putting your team in position to go out and make the playoffs in the last game of the year against a division rival.

[00:41:01]

Four game win streak.

[00:41:02]

Four game win streak. I remember watching and just talking about you guys that year. That's impressive because it's very hard. That's what people don't realize is when you're a pro athlete, you're a regular person, and you have a lot of shit that you have to deal with off the field. And then there's a lot of shit that you have to deal with on the field. And if the shit you're dealing with on the field has a lot of bullshit in it, there's already so much you're juggling mentally. And it's tough. And to put your team in the position to go out and make the playoffs in this game was awesome. Now, what did old Rich, Paschivia?

[00:41:47]

Visacia. Visacia? Visacia.

[00:41:49]

I went to Kent. I can't stay there. Eastern Michigan.

[00:41:53]

Put some respect on that. Not as much.

[00:41:56]

Now, when he took over, you guys got that jolt. Yeah. Is it similar to the jolt that you guys... It reminded me when AP took over. You guys got a jolt, that interim bump.

[00:42:08]

Yeah, that interim jolt. They were both very different. Rich, our whole locker room and the whole dynamic was totally different. When we had Groot in, it's not like our culture was toxic or anything like that. And it wasn't this big divide in the locker room and shit like that. So it was just like, damn, what the fuck? And we just... I mean, Everybody loves Rich. He's the most respected dude in the whole organization, plain and simple. So when he took over, we were like, Fuck you. Let's go fucking win for Rich. And then the Henry shit happened a week later. We were like, Holy fuck. And then there was later in the air, another guy on our team, DUI. There was just one thing after another. But the thing was, our team just kept getting closer and closer and closer, and we hit that breaking point. We were six and seven. We had just lost to the fucking Washington or some shit. And we had a meeting and everybody talked it out. We're like, All right, this is it. We're either just going to fucking ride this out and be it is what it is.

[00:43:08]

We'll get a new coach and whatever, or we're going to fucking make a change. And I remember Ron Marinelli, fucking best coach I've ever had. He walked in our D-line room and he's like, just so you guys know, we're winning these next four games. If you want to fucking be a part of that, we're fucking all in. This is what we're going to do today. This is how we're going to get one step closer. Boom, boom, boom. He broke it all down to us and we're like, All right, let's fucking do it. We were at that point where it was like, This shit is over with. You know what I mean? You're six and seven. No coach. You know what I mean? But Maranelli convinced us up front. Everybody on the team believed, and we fucking just started knocking them down one at a time. And it came down to this game. So it was a crazy year. Yeah. Crazy.

[00:43:50]

Jack, you break down this game.

[00:43:52]

All right. Before we get into this game, we're going to end this season on another positive note. We talked Jay Glazer earlier. I'm going to Glaze up max here a little bit. Pause. 56 total tackles. 56 total tackles. Eight sacks, seven pass deflections. Just got to give the flowers here real quick. Pause on the glazen. Sorry.

[00:44:12]

That was wild. That was wild. It was a light off. Egregious.

[00:44:15]

Oh, my God. That was egregious. We got to give the stats. I'd be remiss if I didn't give the stats.

[00:44:21]

Come on, man. Yeah, that's what happened. It was a fucking Chief's game. We lost to Washington. We got murdered by the Chiefs. And that was like, all right, what the fuck areWhat are you about to do?

[00:44:31]

With this Coach talk, can we talk a little bit about Coach Danny Mandola real quick?

[00:44:34]

Oh, yeah.

[00:44:34]

Coach Dola. Great, dude. How's Coach Dola? Coach Dola is a legend. I love Danny. He's cool as shit. I mean, you know how he is. He's out there fucking running routes all year. Like, he's a part of the team. Routing motherfuckers. Looks like he could play right now, but he's cool. He's cool as hell. I know he's not with us anymore, but Danny was cool as shit. Rp, but he's a legend. Rp. He's a stud.

[00:44:59]

Do you follow Danny on Instagram?

[00:45:00]

What? His male modeling? I think, honestly, because he took a three-year social break. Yeah, that's his period.

[00:45:09]

Then as soon as he became a coach, he got back on the... I think he became a coach to get back on the ground to have the bus shots.

[00:45:18]

To propel his career back again.

[00:45:19]

The bus shots were usually you look like a player.

[00:45:21]

My guy's all dolled up. He had more than bus shots. He had a field shot. He had a ractor shot.

[00:45:26]

He was breaking a team down.

[00:45:28]

Consistent. You know what's even crazier? My brother and him are signed. My brother's a fucking model, and they're signed to the same Ford model. Swear to God, they have the same agent and everything. Weirdest random connection ever. But yeah.

[00:45:42]

They're competing for jobs.

[00:45:44]

Competing for jobs. Old Dola.

[00:45:47]

Dola.

[00:45:49]

What's the game plan for Herbert in this game?

[00:45:51]

Herbert? I mean, up front, it was we're going to win the game. Rush them. They can't block us, and we're going to just torment them. And that's what we did. I mean, we had the best overall, complete game we played all year. We fucking destroyed them up front. Absolutely destroyed them. And they still kept it super close. But Herbert's tough. I respect the shit out of him. He's a dog.

[00:46:18]

He got some dogs in that conference now, dog. Jacky, what do you got?

[00:46:22]

All right, we're going to get through this game. Lead up, we've talked about a little bit, but we got to say the playoff implications that came with this game. When When in, you're in. Tie, you're both also in. But a tie would knock the Stealers out. So Steeler fans were just praying it didn't end in a tie. They were Chargers fans. They were Raiders fans. They weren't tie fans. No Kiss and Sisters tonight, baby. This was a tie. They didn't want a tie. But you got to say, we got to lay that out there.

[00:46:52]

But all the NFL fans were rooting for a tie.

[00:46:55]

It was like, you never see them. It'd be crazy. Why?

[00:46:58]

People were talking about that all week, and it almost fucking happened. That's the craziest part. I remember that. What have we done? What have we done? And then all of a sudden, we're sitting there, we're like, Okay, what the fuck? This actually might happen right now. Scripted. And that would have been worse. Yeah, scripted. But that would have been worse. Fuck that. I'd rather lose than both of us get in. Fuck that. Send them home. I'm with you. That's when I heard that we were potentially... I'm like, What? Fuck that. You die on your sword. You go all in. We're going to either win or we're losing the shit. We're not both going. We're not sending them on You know what I mean? You can give them a hand out. Be like, We're taking a name. Is that FC West, baby? No, you send those fuckers home.

[00:47:36]

And you guys were extremely hyped for going into this game. I mean, this is wing get in. Do you remember anything in that week of preparation Any coach? What's going on that week to get you guys to know what this is really about? Because you guys are a pretty young team.

[00:47:54]

Yeah. I mean, we're young. I mean, we won three games in a row at that point, and we knew what it was. Rich came in. He was so calm, and everyone was so calm. That's why I feel like we were able to win and go on that run because there was no anxiety. There wasn't panic. Rich, literally, the first thing he said to me going in that last week, he's like, We're going to win this game. He's like, We're going to win this game one way or another. He's like, We're going to find a way. I have no doubt in my mind. We just got to go out there and do our thing, whatever, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, Yeah, there's no... Chargers are not beating us. There's no fucking way. So that was In my head, I'm like, I'm going to go out there and I don't care. My fucking heart stops. We're going to find a way. That's really what it came down to. It was fucking crazy.

[00:48:39]

It's the right away, baby.

[00:48:40]

Yeah, no division game, win-win.

[00:48:43]

I know. It was every national... The only game on at night, that shit was crazy.

[00:48:49]

Yeah, it got flexed to Sunday night football.

[00:48:50]

Yeah, Sunday night football. I had fucking people in my neighborhood, Stealers fans, put up big signs in the neighborhood as he'd leave the gate. Thank you. We love You guys, blah, blah. Go steal.

[00:49:01]

I was wondering if you got some blood from Stealers.

[00:49:02]

Like a blow-up that was seven... The biggest Stealers blow-up thing. I'm like, What the fuck? Oh, my gosh. The game meant a lot.

[00:49:09]

Well, if they were classy like Bills fans, they would have donated to a charity of your honor.

[00:49:13]

Yeah, the fuck? I The classiest bunch of fans, Bills fans.

[00:49:17]

Yeah, Bills fans. Very classic.

[00:49:19]

On this night, the Legion was rocking. Vegas got out 10-0, like Max said. They were flying around out there. Start fast. Then Chargers responded with a pair of Eckler touch downs. Then a Josh Jacobs touch down. The Raiders got out to a 17, 14 lead at the half, built that lead up to 29, 14. Then in the fourth quarter, somehow that lead just slipped away. There were all these miracle drives. It seemed like where Herbert was getting forward in first down after fourth down after fourth down, and ultimately came down to throw in that Mike Williams' shutdown with no time left on the clock to send this thing into overtime. Throughout the game, Daniel Carlson, five field goals. I mean, this guy's leg was going to fall He was kicking so many damn field goals. The Chargers were also six of seven on fourth down. Then in overtime, these guys were trading field goal after field goal.

[00:50:11]

Well, you only get one, and then it's sudden death.

[00:50:13]

No, this was a new playoff rules.

[00:50:14]

The new playoff, okay.

[00:50:15]

We had a Carlson field goal. Then we had a Chargers field goal, Dustin Hopkins. Then a lot of football, a lot of football, a lot of football. Time's running down, time's running down. A lot of Josh Jacobs balling out, seven carries, 69 yards in OT alone. Then you get to that third down play, third and five. It was like 39 seconds left. Staley calls the timeout. We go back to Jacobs, pounds it up the middle for 13, gets the first down We're in field goal range, run that thing down, and Daniel Carlson ends it with a 47-yarder. The Raiders are going to the playoffs. The Chargers aren't in your face, Brandon Steeler.

[00:50:54]

And the Steelers, too.

[00:50:55]

And the Steelers, too. Shout out Steeler Nation.

[00:50:57]

Steeler Nation. Jeez. Now, defensive side of the bench, you guys are chilling there while offense is out there. You guys are all talkling. Are we going to score or what? Did you guys know the plan?

[00:51:14]

We had no doubts that we were going to try to win the game. We had no idea that that was even a thing. So yeah, in our heads, we were like, we just need to get in field goal range. We're that close. We're right there. So we're like, all right. I mean, we had no idea. So it just seemed normal. Boom. Carlson went, kicked the field goal. And then after the fact, we ended up finding out that all this controversy, and they were going to take a knee and shit. We're like, what the fuck? But that's what it is.

[00:51:40]

That's what it is. Come on, man. That's ridiculous. Crazy. After The Raiders would make the postseason for the first time since 2016. Crosby named Week 18's Defensive Player of the Week. Old Coach Rich, first interim head coach to make the playoff since Bruce Arians, 2012. Was that the Colts?

[00:52:03]

That was Colts. Yes, that was when he took over for... The guy... Pagano. Pagano.

[00:52:08]

He got sick. We were playing for OT Talk. That was going. That was going around. That was fucking everywhere. I was so sick of talking about it on inside the NFL. Las Vegas would lose to Cincinnati in the AFC wild card round. What was that like playing in the first playoff game, playing against a team that would then go on to represent the conference in the Super Bowl?

[00:52:31]

Yeah, it was amazing. I mean, this energy. I know you've been in a million playoff games, but that energy was just different. Hostile, drunk in Cincinnati, locals just fucking screaming in your ear. I was motherfucking fans. I almost got in trouble. I mean, videos. I'm, Fuck you. I'm just going. I was in a different place mentally, but it was incredible. I mean, the environment was crazy. We almost beat them, too. We took them right down to the last possession of the game. And then they fucking end up going to the Super Bowl. We were that confident. We went to that game. We were like, We fucking win. I mean, we could beat anybody right now. That's how we felt. And then you see them go to the Super Bowl. You're like, shit. We really could have went on a serious run.

[00:53:15]

That playoff speed just a little faster, isn't it?

[00:53:17]

It's a little different. Every play matters a little more. You know what I mean? Every detail matters.

[00:53:23]

There's no business decisions.

[00:53:25]

No.

[00:53:26]

Even if you're a guy that plays hard, when everyone... Not everyone's like that. Everyone in the play-off is playing like that.Ballss.

[00:53:35]

Of the Wall.Ballss of the Wall.

[00:53:37]

It's crazy. I play in a lot of playoff games. So you play teams, the hungry teams, young teams like you. Like you said, when you're a young player, you're looking across the sideline, you're looking at the other guy. When you've been there, you've seen it, you know that, All right, this thing's probably going to go to the end. Let's just relax. These first two quarters, it's about trying to last that whole game. I'm excited for what you guys are going to do this year. Hell, yeah. I'm excited. No doubt. What are you going to do as a quarterback?

[00:54:15]

That's the ultimate question. I mean, there's a lot of rumors. Supposedly we're trading up, but we'll see. I mean, that's no guarantee. We signed Minchou. I think he's a good guy to step in and either be a backup or start for the time being. So we'll see. I think we're going to draft somebody, though. If I was a betting man, but we'll see.

[00:54:40]

Are you a betting man living in Vegas?

[00:54:43]

Yeah, I bet. I bet other things, sports. I mean, not obviously NFL. So if you're watching this, don't fucking. But yeah, I bet fights. I mean, I love betting UFC, some NBA, things like that.

[00:54:55]

I just went to that UFC in Miami.

[00:54:58]

Yeah, I was supposed to go to that. That was fire. Miami is a different type of energy. That shit is fun.

[00:55:03]

But just the whole environment of UFC was like the show. I've been to a lot. You go to shows, you go to a Super Bowl, you go to a game, you go to basketball. The whole environment was fucking...

[00:55:14]

It was cool. Crazy.

[00:55:15]

Just a good atmosphere.

[00:55:16]

Great atmosphere.

[00:55:17]

This is clearly the wildest game you've played in your pro career. Yeah.

[00:55:22]

I mean, it's definitely got to be number one just because of how important the game was. There's a couple other ones. I mean, that season alone, I think it said on there we had four overtime wins. Four. So, yeah, the first game of the year was damn near just as crazy as the last one. We played Baltimore on Monday night to open the season, and it was a fucking crazy overtime win. Walk off to Zay Jones to win the game. And that shit was back and forth, back and forth, craziness the whole time. So, yeah, that whole year, it was just fucking crazy games.

[00:55:51]

Man.

[00:55:52]

Yeah, it was wild.

[00:55:53]

Is Vegas becoming an ultimate sports city or what? You guys about to get basketball. A's are coming over to join.

[00:55:59]

Yeah, it's It's going to be the greatest. I think it's already the greatest city in the country, let alone damn near the world. Once you bring in two more sports, major sports teams, I think it's going to be the most, the greatest sports town in the country. I mean, you look at it, the Raiders are already the Raiders. That's all time. That's legendary organization. The local people, they love sports, though, don't they? They love sports. The fucking Golden Nights come in, win a title. The Aces, WMBA, two back to back. Then you bring in a basketball team. And I know there's going to be a lot of people involved with that. Big people. And then MLB as well. Vegas is already the number one destination where everyone wants to go. You bring in more sports teams, I think it's just going to keep getting crazier and crazier.

[00:56:44]

Jack, we got any leftovers?

[00:56:46]

Pretty clean episode. We're on the money. I'm over here talking about this game. I'm talking about Daniel Carlson. I didn't even get through Max's stats, man. He's weak. He's an AFC player of the week. Six tackles, three tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, 11 pressures, two sacs, three passes deflected. What a game. That's AFC defensive player of the week for you. Are you a T-shirt? Are you a T-shirt? That's a problem. That's a problem.

[00:57:09]

That's a problem. That's a problem.

[00:57:11]

Oh, and quick one. Go ahead, Max. Sorry.

[00:57:13]

No, you're good. No, you're good. I I did not get a T-shirt. That was all I was going to say. Yeah, no T-shirt. Come on, man. We get a post, though. Twitter post, Instagram. Call from your mother, girlfriend.

[00:57:25]

Can we get a T-shirt, NFL? Jesus Christ.

[00:57:28]

Or a little plaque or something.

[00:57:30]

Plaque, something. We got to do it. We'll be right back after this quick break.

[00:57:36]

The big take from Bloomberg News brings you what's shaping the world's economies with the smartest and best-informed business reporters around the world. Western nations like the US and Europe.

[00:58:17]

Mexico will likely have its first female President.

[00:58:20]

Then you have China. And help you understand what's happening, what it means, and why it matters.

[00:58:25]

He got his yo-yos to Europe in time.

[00:58:28]

But the longer this on, the more worry he's getting.

[00:58:32]

They knew that they needed to do this as fast as they possibly could to get a drug on the market as fast as they could. I'm David Garura.

[00:58:40]

I'm Sarah Holder. I'm Salaya Mohsen. We cover the stories behind what's moving money in markets.

[00:58:45]

Basically, everyone was expecting, if not a calamity, certainly a recession. But the problem is that that paperwork, as our reporting showed, is fake.

[00:58:53]

To someone who's covering the market, I'm often very worried about an imminent collapse. I'm thinking about it quite often. Listen to The Big Take on the iHeard radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

[00:59:06]

I'm Salaya Mohsant, and I've covered economic policy for years and reported on how it impacts people across the United States. In 2016, I saw how voters were leaning towards Trump and how so many Americans felt misunderstood by Washington. So I started the Big Take DC. We dig into how money, politics, and power shaped government and the consequences for voters.

[00:59:30]

It's an election year, so there's a lot of focus on the voters that TikTok is reaching.

[00:59:35]

The initial reaction is like, Oh, things are looking so resilient.

[00:59:39]

I don't want to be too pessimistic, but I just don't see the political will down in Washington right now to change their tune. I think the American electorate has been signaling that it expects a rematch of the 2020 election. These are unprecedented times.

[00:59:57]

With new episodes every Thursday, you can listen to the Big Take DC on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

[01:00:08]

So let's name this game. Let's name this game. What we got is the Almost High game.

[01:00:14]

Oh, these Our options. Our options.

[01:00:16]

Or anything you can go. Happy for suggestions.

[01:00:17]

Happy for suggestions.

[01:00:18]

Or other.

[01:00:19]

He'd like to put a bow on it.

[01:00:20]

The Tie game, the Neil game, or the Brandon Staley timeout game, or something else. What do you want to name this game?

[01:00:28]

This one's for Rich. Yeah, this one's for Rich. Rich's final quest. I like the Brandon Staley one, though. It makes me-Brandon's? The Brandon Staley timeout. Is it Brandon or Brandon? Does it matter? It's Brandon?

[01:00:44]

Yeah. Brandon?

[01:00:45]

Brandon. Is it with an E or an O?

[01:00:48]

M?

[01:00:49]

I swear there's a-Hold on.

[01:00:51]

No, no more. Something's off there. Let's go. Let's score the game. Is this the greatest game of all time? Let's score it. Stakes, 1-10. Decimal's okay. What are your stakes?

[01:01:07]

Greatest game of all time.

[01:01:11]

That's some social stuff, Bebs.

[01:01:12]

It's with an O, by the way. I'm sorry. I botched.

[01:01:16]

So one out of ten?

[01:01:17]

Yeah.

[01:01:18]

I'm going to say this is a... Can you do haves?

[01:01:21]

Decibels okay.

[01:01:22]

I'll give it a nine and a half.

[01:01:23]

Nine and a half?

[01:01:24]

Nine and a half.

[01:01:25]

Just to let you know.

[01:01:27]

Regular season game.

[01:01:28]

Playoffs are on the line.

[01:01:28]

Playoffs on the line.

[01:01:29]

We've had Super Bowl. Super Bowl is the 10.

[01:01:31]

World Cup games. Hey, integrity is integrity. Let's go. Start power of this game. Zero to 10.

[01:01:39]

Decibels okay. I would say there's a lot of guys in that game. I would say nine. Nine? Yeah, there were some guys in that game.

[01:01:47]

We got some guys in the game. No doubt. What's the gameplay of this game?

[01:01:50]

The gameplay?

[01:01:52]

It's pretty good gameplay game. As far as how it-Making fourth. Back, forth, field goal, touched down, this, the flow of the game.

[01:02:01]

It might be, I think it's a 10. A 10? I think it's a 10 because it looked like it was over. After Casey Hayward caught the pick, it was 29, 14. I mean, turnover, we were like, this shit. Everybody thought it was over. And all of a sudden, fourth down conversion, fourth down conversion, fourth down. And we were like, what the fuck? I couldn't believe it.It battled back. And then two-point conversion. I'm like, this is insane.

[01:02:25]

You don't see a walk-off kick field goals in overtime.

[01:02:29]

Yeah.

[01:02:30]

Timeout. Good game. Play game.

[01:02:31]

Very good.

[01:02:32]

Score the name of the game. The Brandon Staley Timeout game. What is the score of that name for that game? Roll off the tongue.

[01:02:39]

Roll straight off the tongue. I'm going to give it a solid eight and a half.

[01:02:44]

Eight and a half.

[01:02:45]

Yeah. So it's Brandon with an O?

[01:02:47]

It's with an O, yes. Okay.

[01:02:49]

I like Brandon better.

[01:02:50]

Yeah, he seems like more of a Brandon.

[01:02:52]

He seems like a Brandon. No question.

[01:02:55]

What does that come out to, Kyler?9.25.9?

[01:02:59]

What is that on the games that we've done? Let's just put it on the board.

[01:03:04]

It's pretty high. Maybe a little aggressive.

[01:03:06]

Okay, what's it in between? That puts us at a dead tie.

[01:03:10]

Wow, a rare dead tie with the shrug game, the 1992 NBA Finals Bulls versus Blazers. You may remember that when Michael Jordan was unconscious from three, and he gave us the meme, we all know, the shrug.

[01:03:23]

And just above the 2004 ACLS with the Yankees Red Sox.

[01:03:28]

When they came back from '04 down, David Ortiz and the boys.

[01:03:31]

Jeez, it's up there.

[01:03:31]

That's the right up there.

[01:03:33]

That's the righter way.

[01:03:34]

That's the righter way.

[01:03:35]

When they zig, you zag. When you zig, we zag. Max, you want to add anything?

[01:03:43]

I mean, you put it up there. I guess I got to mention it. You're coming on as well. I'm coming on. The Rush podcast. Starting it. I've been doing it for a couple of months now. I got my boys, three of my teammates from Eastern Michigan, MacLegends.MacDaddies.MacDaddies. Brogan Roback, my co-host. Just got to LA as well. They're waiting on me. So, yeah, the Rush podcast. Check it out. Youtube, Spotify, Apple, everything. And go, Raiders. It's going to be a big year.

[01:04:13]

I'm excited to come on the show.

[01:04:15]

Yeah, it's going to be fun.

[01:04:16]

It's going to be fun. I appreciate you coming out and checking this out, bro.

[01:04:18]

No doubt. I appreciate you, brother. My guy. Yes, sir.

[01:04:22]

Man, what an awesome episode.

[01:04:24]

Oh, my gosh. Our first current player. That's pretty darn cool.

[01:04:27]

First current player. First of the many. He's a killer in his eyes.

[01:04:30]

He sure is, man. Cool guy.

[01:04:32]

You could see it. He's motivated. He's got the right attitude. With a guy like him, you hope that people don't get intimidated by his intensity at work, and they follow it. You know what I mean? Because if you have a whole lot of those guys, you're going to be a good football team. But there's not many of those guys, but that guy recruits guys. You know what I mean? The Does that make sense? It's a lot of guy talk.

[01:05:03]

No, it makes perfect sense. I wasn't there, but that's one of the reasons you guys were so darn good.

[01:05:08]

Yeah, but that guy's easy stud, smart, works hard. You could just see passionate, loves football.Humbly.Humbly.I.

[01:05:21]

Mean, this guy's got a Jordan brand.Mac Daddy.

[01:05:22]

If I got a Jordan brand deal, I'd blow up.I act like I didn't know anybody.Swaggy. Oh, my God. He was the man.Pretty awesome.I I'm a Max Crosby guy now.Yeah.

[01:05:32]

I always have been. Always have been. Always have been.

[01:05:34]

I just want to know what was in Mark Davis' Fanny pack.

[01:05:36]

Oh, my God. He said he took a guess. I like that he took a guess.Chapstick.I got to imagine. It's got to be some chapstick.It's.

[01:05:44]

Dry out there in It's a desert. It sure is.It is.

[01:05:46]

It's a dry heat. It's a dry heat.

[01:05:48]

Very dry. Sunscreen? Definitely. I've seen him with sunscreen.

[01:05:53]

And then I can't...

[01:05:54]

What was the third?Kees.Kees. That's where I've got it.Gum?Gum..

[01:05:59]

I could see that.Mini.Mini. It's like he looks minty fresh.

[01:06:01]

Got to have a wallet in there.Phone?Yeah..

[01:06:04]

I wonder if it goes wallet, front pocket, back pocket.

[01:06:06]

I wonder if he got wallet. I wonder if he has phone, side, swipe, bop-bop.

[01:06:10]

Well, here's a question for you. Another notable fanny pack.

[01:06:13]

You just took words out of my mouth.

[01:06:14]

One Frank Edelman.Oh, yeah. What did Frank...He got in his fanny pack.

[01:06:18]

I didn't want to bring Frank involved.I.

[01:06:20]

Almost did.Crosby was very close.Crosby.

[01:06:22]

Was talking old leather, 80. I was like, That's right up Frank, Sally.This.

[01:06:28]

Guy.frank and Mark Davis, handshake me.Oh.

[01:06:31]

My God.Fanny.

[01:06:32]

Pack wearers, baby. Did Frank a wallet inside Fanny pack?Lose cash? Everything.

[01:06:38]

Everything was in there.Change.Phone in there, too. This guy would put a bagger in there.

[01:06:43]

He was juicing?

[01:06:45]

I remember one time, he went away for my parents' anniversary. I'm sitting there, they left, and they're going to Napa, which is Whatever. 45 to an hour. So I go and I use their bathroom.

[01:07:05]

That's you, king of the castle up there.

[01:07:06]

King of the castle at the house. It was like 15, 16. I'm coming out of shower. I'm like, What's going on? It's my My dad, he's running in. I'm like, What are you doing? He's looking through a bunch of shelves and shit. I'm like, Dad, what are you doing? Finally, I see this blue pill. Kisses it, puts it in his Fanny pack, says, I got to go, son.

[01:07:29]

Dude, just one? Yeah, just one.

[01:07:33]

From Lucy. You didn't want to have a heart attack.

[01:07:36]

Bro, nothing says I'm a real man, like tucking that Viagra into a Fanny pack. That's boss. I like that. That's very cool.

[01:07:44]

I think he said something like, You'll know about this one day.Oh.

[01:07:50]

My gosh.

[01:07:51]

Frank.oh, Frank.

[01:07:52]

That is legendary. That is legendary.

[01:07:56]

Well, also a little fun fact about this game, a little games with names history, is that we were watching this game together the first time we met with Sam Marelle.

[01:08:06]

First time we were met.New York City, baby.Yeah..

[01:08:09]

New York City when you were inside the NFL.

[01:08:10]

It was fun. That was fun.

[01:08:13]

Yeah. Oh, bro, I was going to bring it up. We talked all this Mac football, like, Maction. I was like, champing at the bit over here. I'm a Maction guy. I love Maction.Maction. So I went back deep in the record books to November 17th, 2006, baby, when the Golden Flashes took down. Eastern Michigan, 14 to 6.

[01:08:32]

What did I say?

[01:08:34]

No, we just didn't talk about it.

[01:08:36]

I know, but I said-You were close.

[01:08:36]

We didn't have time for it.

[01:08:38]

I threw a deep touch on... I separated my shoulder. I could barely throw the football.Dude.

[01:08:43]

9 for 18.

[01:08:44]

I threw a touch on a Nia Pruden.

[01:08:47]

Dude, shout out to Nia.

[01:08:48]

Four receptions, 86 yards, one thuddy.

[01:08:52]

You were 50% completion rate.

[01:08:55]

Yeah, nine for 18. Nine for 18. 68-yard thuddy to Naja?

[01:08:58]

Yeah, poker.

[01:08:59]

You were running on You and Eugene Jarvis out there.

[01:09:02]

Eugene Jarvis.

[01:09:04]

Shout out, baby.

[01:09:05]

He listens to this show. Yeah, Eugene, let's go, baby. He hit me up when we were talking that Pennsylvania talk.

[01:09:10]

I love it, baby. Any chance to crowbar in some action talk out there.

[01:09:16]

He was a monster. Beast. About this tall. He's about as tall as you, Jack. Hell, yeah. Bowling ball, though.

[01:09:21]

Oh, yeah. See, I got to bulk up.

[01:09:23]

And he knew how to... He was patient runner, and he knew how to hit the hole right. He was always on balance.

[01:09:28]

Got to love the Mac.

[01:09:29]

Got I love the Mack.

[01:09:31]

Should we break into this post-show segment real quick?Let's do a post-show.This one might come to blows, baby. This one might come to blows and get real contentious. But we talked a couple of weeks ago, you may remember, we threw out the top five in honor of Drake, top five, top five. We ended up going with our top five, top fives. It got real meta and deep and confusing. But today, we are finally bringing one of those to fruition, and we're going back to our top five. Well, this week, Somehow, the three of us, the brain trust here, are going to come to a consensus on our top five favorite Adam Sandler movies, The Sandman.

[01:10:10]

Right off top, first three that I don't know, that are automatically in it.

[01:10:15]

Before you get in here, I think it's important to make a distinction. Are these the best Adam Sandler performances?

[01:10:22]

No.

[01:10:22]

Or our favorite Adam Sandler movies?

[01:10:25]

You know what? I just watched that Spaceman.

[01:10:28]

Still got to see it. Still on my list. Paul Dana.

[01:10:31]

It was click vibes with way less comedy.

[01:10:35]

Tearjerker.

[01:10:36]

It was more of a self-reflection. I wanted to text him afterwards. I don't know. I'm not trying to flex. I don't even think he has my number anymore.

[01:10:44]

You should have. He would have appreciated it.

[01:10:46]

But I went in the mirror after that.

[01:10:49]

I heard it's an email guy.

[01:10:51]

Really? Yeah.

[01:10:52]

Probably on a Blackberry.

[01:10:53]

Probably got a Hotmail address. Dude, I would. I mean…

[01:10:57]

Dude, it's a great movie.

[01:10:58]

I've got a Hotmail address.

[01:10:59]

It was like, what's the one with the 9/11 movie? Rain Over Me. Rain Over Me. It was very similar to that with that… It was a full drama.

[01:11:10]

Every once in a while, he'll pull out.

[01:11:11]

He always… Uncut Gems. I had anxiety for two weeks afterwards. I don't know why. You know what I mean? Click is low-key. I love Click because it's like your family. You're taking it, take that time for granted. Then before you know, they're gone. I cry. I cry in the theater. Every time.

[01:11:33]

Hands down crying.

[01:11:34]

Spanglish. I love Spanglish.

[01:11:36]

Awesome. Punch Drunk Love. Punch Drunk Love. Punch Drunk Love. I put in the same somewhat.

[01:11:41]

I put Spanglish over. If I'm going to go with one of the rom-coms, Wedding Singers in there. Hold on.

[01:11:46]

So Favorite or Performances?Favorites.Favorites.Favorites..

[01:11:49]

Okay, great.

[01:11:50]

We got all the lists up here.

[01:11:51]

We got-I mean, automatically, Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison are in there somewhere.They're.

[01:11:56]

In the top five.Yes..

[01:11:58]

You can do it.

[01:12:01]

Okay, so what are the other two? We suck again.

[01:12:03]

What are the other?

[01:12:03]

Oh, no, we talk again.

[01:12:05]

What are the other two? And then let's rank them.

[01:12:09]

Lawrence Taylor. Unbelievable cameo in there. Talking to the kids. And that's why you don't do crack.

[01:12:16]

Do you think they knew? The writers? They had to have, right? At that point? What? Or that he dabbled?

[01:12:25]

What? It was a... We're not going to get LT on the show. We're not going to let LT tell us, but They had to have.

[01:12:32]

When that movie came out, yeah, okay.

[01:12:34]

Oh, I forgot about he was in Coneheads. That was young.

[01:12:37]

That was old school. That's like, yeah.

[01:12:38]

I loved Mr. Deeds.

[01:12:40]

Me too. Mr. Deeds.

[01:12:42]

Crazy Eyes. I used to always call him Hogan Crazy Eyes. Remember Crazy Eyes with the Pizza and shit? I would always send Hogan a meme of that guy because Hogan had eyes that would be going at you. Steve LeChemi wrote some other dude. He was talking to me.

[01:12:58]

He was ordering those pizzas, He said, Big Daddy.Oreos and French fries. Jesus.

[01:13:03]

I was called Frankenstein all the high school because of that. Julian. Yeah, the kid's name is Julian. Bro, Big Daddy.

[01:13:09]

I still remember one of my earliest movie theater disappointments was having to go see with my brother and my dad, Wild Wild West with Will Smith. Oh, yeah. Instead of Big Daddy for the third time. I was trying to convince him, We got to see Big Daddy again. Two is enough. We got to go see Wild Wild West.

[01:13:28]

Bad. The song It was good.

[01:13:30]

Was it, though? Or do you just remember it?

[01:13:35]

I don't know.

[01:13:36]

Was that eight years old? You could buy the little glasses from Burger King. Had them in their house.

[01:13:41]

Burger King always used to have them, some movie sponsorships.

[01:13:44]

They did. I missed those days.

[01:13:46]

I missed that little cartoon dude doing a kickflip. Remember that? That commercial?

[01:13:52]

Oh, man, I got to pull that up.

[01:13:54]

The cartoon dude?

[01:13:54]

We got to do one of the critically acclaimed roles.

[01:13:59]

Got to be Uncut Gems, Punk Drunk Love.

[01:14:01]

Is Spanglish your click in that one?

[01:14:04]

Spanglish, I think, would be.

[01:14:05]

Spanglish was great acting. I thought he was a chef.

[01:14:09]

I would prefer either Uncut Gems or Punch Drunk Love than Spanglish, but I'll be outvoted on that.

[01:14:16]

I like the stories.

[01:14:17]

We got murder mysteries. Yeah, the murder mysteries.

[01:14:20]

I'm a Huber Halloween guy as far as recent era Sandler.

[01:14:23]

I just watched Hustle again. Huber Dubois. Hustle was good. Hustle was really good.

[01:14:28]

Great little movie. We had to do an NFL version of that.

[01:14:31]

There are two things in the world I love, basketball and Adam Sandler. No desire to see it. I don't know. It's good. I got to watch it.

[01:14:37]

I understand. It's good. Sometimes when something is so perfect for you, you can't accept it. I understand.

[01:14:44]

It plays like a scout.

[01:14:45]

I know. He married a Queen Latifah. It's right up my alley. Yeah, he married a Queen Latifah. Hey now. Hey now. No, I haven't seen it yet. I need to. I need to. I will. It's on my list.

[01:14:59]

Wait, so what's our list?

[01:15:01]

Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Waterboy. Waterboy. In no particular order at the moment. I feel like we'd be remiss if we didn't put a wedding singer in there. I got to say a wedding singer.

[01:15:11]

Oh, a wedding singer. I also like the era when he was just like, I just want to help my friends to go on vacation.

[01:15:18]

Netflix paid me lots of money. That's a big grown-up era. Are we really putting grown-ups in our top 5?

[01:15:23]

No, it's not in our top 5. No. I respect it, though. We're good movies, but not our top 5.

[01:15:29]

Our I respect it, though.

[01:15:31]

Chuck and Larry was fun.

[01:15:33]

They had to like...

[01:15:34]

Or firefighters.

[01:15:35]

They had to pretend to be gay to get health care. Yeah. America, maybe.

[01:15:42]

That's America. The private detective was there. They're trying to trick them.

[01:15:47]

It's just crazy. Great. Could you make that nowadays? Why not? Why not? Shout out to Kevin James, brother.

[01:15:55]

He'd be fun on the show, I bet. He's a Jets fan, right?

[01:15:58]

He's a big...

[01:15:59]

No more Jets fans unless it's Larry David.

[01:16:03]

How many Jets fans do we have? One?

[01:16:06]

Rich.

[01:16:06]

Rich. Feels like a lot. One's plenty. Plenty.

[01:16:10]

Jets get a bad rap. Stop making fun of them so much, guys.

[01:16:14]

Who is this guy? What are you talking to right now? What are you, Mr. Jets defender now? No. Okay.

[01:16:19]

All right.

[01:16:20]

Last one.

[01:16:21]

Let's get in here.

[01:16:24]

So what's our list?

[01:16:26]

How about we write-Put them down.

[01:16:27]

Write them down. All right. So what's number one?

[01:16:29]

It's either Happy Good Mar Billy Madison, right?

[01:16:32]

To me, it's Billy Madison.

[01:16:34]

We can go Billy Madison.

[01:16:34]

To me, it's Happy Good Mar.

[01:16:36]

I thought it was going to be happy.

[01:16:36]

But I'm just a hop.

[01:16:37]

All right, I'm getting outvoted here.

[01:16:39]

We'll go Happy Good Man.

[01:16:40]

Also, Car weather's love.

[01:16:41]

Two to one. How great was he?

[01:16:42]

Chubs.

[01:16:43]

Oh, my hands hurt. Well, your back's going to hurt because you just got landscaping. Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller. He was so great.

[01:16:50]

He was the orderly, the mean orderly? He was great.

[01:16:52]

What are you saying? What is the one? Can I get a nice glass of milk? And he goes, You get a nice glass. You shut the fuck up. Did he say fuck?

[01:17:03]

It might have been hell. I can't remember.

[01:17:05]

Shut the hell up.

[01:17:06]

He poked his head around the corner into the door. He gave him this one, Jules Mower.

[01:17:10]

Yeah. I love Stiller's sidepiece rolls. Or like his villain sidepiece comedic role. Tony Perkins. Tony Perkins. From Heavyweights. Dodgeball.

[01:17:23]

Dude, we got to watch Heavyweights soon. I love Dodge.

[01:17:26]

I watch it once a year, Heavyweights.

[01:17:28]

Can one of these either be Uncut Gems or Punch Drunk Love.

[01:17:32]

Yes. Jules, you're the decider here.

[01:17:34]

And then I'll shut up about the other one.

[01:17:37]

Number 5 can be Uncut Gems. Yeah.

[01:17:41]

Thank you, sir.

[01:17:43]

What's four? Little Nicki. Such a bad movie, but I love it.

[01:17:48]

Mr. D. So bad. I got scared, bro. He was down on the hill.

[01:17:50]

That scared me. Hold on. Can I do a thing?

[01:17:54]

Yeah.

[01:17:55]

Our next, our favorite movie, our fourth favorite movie of his is The Next One.

[01:18:00]

The Next One. Oh, very Tom Brady-esque of you. Yeah. Probably not. But no way the next one is going to be as good as Big Daddy.

[01:18:05]

Big Daddy.

[01:18:08]

I like the optimism, though.

[01:18:10]

John Tutturo? Oh, wait, no. I'm thinking Mr. Deed. You're thinking Mr.

[01:18:13]

Deed. Big Daddy.

[01:18:15]

Scuba Steve.

[01:18:16]

Damn you, Scuba Steve.

[01:18:20]

Yeah, let's go Big Daddy's got to go for, and then Honorable Mention, Spanglish Click for me.

[01:18:27]

Okay, I like that. For me, Honorable I like that we have it. I love that. Honorable mentions. It's cheating. Oh, no. There's so many good ones to choose from. Mr. Deeds is in there for me. Bunch of Drunk Love is in there for me.

[01:18:40]

He made Hallmark cards? Yeah. Yes.

[01:18:44]

Kathy Bates?

[01:18:46]

Punch Drunk Love for me.

[01:18:47]

Wait, what was it? I'm very sneaky, said.

[01:18:49]

I'm very, very sneaky.

[01:18:50]

Yeah, go ahead. Hit my foot. Oh, why the fuck did you... No, I'm just joking. We I wanted what?

[01:18:59]

After that, I wanted the Hawaiian Punch water fountain installed in the crib.Oh, my God.That was living. I thought, if I ever get to that point, I've made it.

[01:19:08]

Like Devante Adams with Taka Bell in your house, which we didn't even get to talk about Devante Adams.

[01:19:12]

We didn't hit anything in this episode. We were moving quick.

[01:19:14]

We were moving quick.

[01:19:15]

What the fuck did we...

[01:19:16]

What did we talk about?Coach Dolla.Coach Dolla.

[01:19:20]

I loved how he knew instantly.

[01:19:23]

His brother shares an agent. That is wild. I was trying to picture a tall, handsome, gingery-type guy.

[01:19:31]

I was, too. Then my mind, of course, went to like...

[01:19:34]

Because he's 6'5. He's tall, he's lean.

[01:19:36]

His brother's older, right? I'm pretty sure as we learn from our research.

[01:19:39]

You got a picture of him? I'm looking. Here we go.

[01:19:41]

Let's see him. Let's see if this guy's Dolla Calber.

[01:19:45]

Oh, wait. I found...Models, crowd. I've been Ford models afterwards.

[01:19:48]

Ford models. Oh, yeah. There you go.

[01:19:51]

Pro tip. When you're looking up your male models.

[01:19:52]

Is Dolla still on here?

[01:19:55]

Man. Yeah, he's good looking.

[01:19:59]

Is Dolla still on here? I can see the resemblance, too.I.

[01:20:02]

See it.Yeah.Tasteful. Dola. I see Dola's Ford models.

[01:20:11]

Is that current?

[01:20:14]

Far right, this one. I think I'm going Crosby. No, Dola.

[01:20:19]

I hate. Yeah, I mean, I don't know.

[01:20:22]

Dola's got a persona.

[01:20:23]

He's got a more of a personality. He does.

[01:20:25]

I will say his portfolio.

[01:20:26]

Why don't you know the other guy?

[01:20:29]

Yeah, but Dola's got a top five personality.

[01:20:32]

I will say Dola's portfolio is a little tougher to access than Miles. So he's got him beaten that way.

[01:20:38]

We just go to @Danieamindola.

[01:20:40]

Yeah, just follow him on Instagram.

[01:20:41]

Go Instagram. Danieamindola. Eighty?

[01:20:44]

I think there is an E. Let me double check.@daniamindola80. I don't want to be doing him a disservice here.

[01:20:49]

Yeah, we got to get him the right. They say he's top three NFL male model.

[01:20:56]

Yeah. It's just Danie Amandola. No numbers needed.

[01:20:58]

Yeah, I had it at Danieamindola.Dineo Mandola. There you go.

[01:21:00]

Dineo Mandola, 85. There we go. He's got a cool profile, man.

[01:21:06]

All right, let's wrap this.

[01:21:08]

Let's wrap up.

[01:21:08]

We went from talking about Click to male models, but I love it. This was a heck of an episode.

[01:21:17]

Okay, so our consensus top five is Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison.

[01:21:22]

Top five, Adam Sandler movies that we came up with collectively as a team, but not everyone got all their ones in there. There's honorable mentions, which...

[01:21:33]

What was your last one? Click and...

[01:21:35]

Can I just say the top five that we came up with as a team, but not individually? One, Happy Gilmore, two, Billy Madison, three, Waterboy, four, Big Daddy. Five uncut gems. Maybe spanglish or a click. Uncut Gems, maybe Spanglish or Click. Uncut Gems. That's what we came up with. Let's see what you guys come up with in the comments. Let's have a debate. Tell us why Huh?

[01:22:01]

Tell us why we're wrong.

[01:22:03]

Yeah, tell us why we're wrong. Yeah.

[01:22:06]

Prove it, man.

[01:22:07]

What a game. The Brandon Staley timeout game.

[01:22:13]

With a no, Brandon with a no.

[01:22:14]

Brandon. Brandon with the O. Brandon. Brandon with the O. What a game. What an interview. What a guy.

[01:22:21]

Hope he gets to the playoff so we can have him back on to a playoff. I know.
