Hey, it's Mel. And my daughter taught me this tool that is so helpful in situations where I start to get myself all worked up. It's four words. It's not that deep. Say you're looking for a new job. I mean, that's a stressful experience, but it's not that deep. It's just a resume. It's just an interview. It's just an offer in a salary negotiation. I mean, if you want a great salary at work, you can't get worked up during the negotiations. It's not that deep. It also works with things like dating. You keep asking yourself, Why can't I find somebody? And it's easy to get emotional, but just don't let yourself drown in those emotions. The fact is, you haven't met the person who's good enough for you yet. It's not that deep. Everything require decades of trauma therapy for you to get through it. You are stronger than that. So the next time you feel like you're drowning your emotions, put your feet on the ground, stand up, and say to yourself, It's not that deep.
