Well, the Gillespie County Sheriff tells us that the woman had taken a road trip for a weekend getaway here in Fredericksburg with a man who she really didn't know that well.

[00:00:09]

And while investigators are still trying to uncover what exactly happened, they do know she wound up here on the side of 290 near the Signer Winery with the man she says she shot dead on the driver's side.

[00:00:22]

I have a female on the line. She's quite hysterical.

[00:00:25]

A dispatcher seemingly stunned after this 911 call.

[00:00:28]

She's advising that she just shot somebody. She's been drugged and she's been kidnapped.

[00:00:33]

The wine country of Central Texas. Also, now a place where the Gillespie County Sheriff's office says 45-year-old Anne LeJune had to fight for her life.

[00:00:44]

She's advising that the gun she used is going to be a Glock 43.

[00:00:48]

A manager at Signer Vineyards told me the woman ran up to their driveway begging for help Friday afternoon.

[00:00:53]

She is screaming in the background. She said she shot him all over.

[00:00:57]

We don't really know other than what she's explaining claiming to us what may have occurred in their travels.

[00:01:03]

Gillespie County Sheriff Buddy Mills said LeJune told deputies 49-year-old Lance Reid is from the Houston area, as she is. After going to the hospital and admitting to deputies, she shot and killed Reid.

[00:01:14]

She was released and was able to go back home.

[00:01:18]

Investigators have not filed charges against LeJune for the shooting death, but hearing about all of this leaves those in the small quaint town of Fredericksburg in disbelief. It seems like that's never happened around here.

[00:01:29]

This is an isolated deal. Gillespie County is a very, very safe community.
