Did you get any pushback from the actual security guards about pushing them out of the way the one night?

[00:00:05]

Pushing them out of the way?

[00:00:07]

I mean, it's on camera, Travis.

[00:00:08]

I didn't push him. I placed my hand on the gentleman's back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he would probably would have turned around and tased me.

[00:00:16]

That sounds like a way that somebody you push somebody would describe pushing them.

[00:00:21]

Yeah, we're going to talk about it. But first, as always, new news.

[00:01:30]

New news coming in hot.

Every week.

[00:01:53]

How about that, ma'am? This has been a humbling experience so far this season.

[00:01:56]

Yes, it has. Moving on to fan mentions of the week. All right, let's get to them. From the Eagles social media team. They gave us a look at Jason's locker room.

[00:02:07]

There you go.

[00:02:08]

Go ahead and click on that TikTok, Jason. I really thought that I had the worst locker out of both of us. And you not only have a bigger locker, like, I have two lockers that have a bunch of just shit in it.

[00:02:24]

Yours is way worse, Travis. Mine just has video evidence.

[00:02:28]

It's not by any means as bad as what I just saw. What are you talking about, dude? I mean, absolutely filthy. Just nothing's organized.

[00:02:41]

You have boxes coming out of yours as well?

[00:02:44]

No, I don't. I got rid of them.

[00:02:45]

Well, I just got rid of mine, too, so now I don't know who's coming up, swear to God.

[00:02:50]

What'd you do with your truck?

[00:02:52]

No, Emily came up and we were doing something, and she put them in the truck.

[00:02:57]

So what? They're in your garage now? You didn't open the boxes?

[00:03:00]

No, I don't I don't open as a rule. I don't open fan mail.

[00:03:04]

Oh, so everything sent to the facility is fan mail?

[00:03:06]

For the most part. Or it's like brands trying to get me to put their stuff on new heights.

[00:03:12]

Well, you heard it from Jason. If you're a brand trying to get your shit on new heights, don't send it to the facility. Send it to our intern, Brandon's house.

[00:03:22]

I have been getting some interesting fan mail.

[00:03:26]

Oh, dude, you have no idea.

[00:03:28]

A farm in California sent me some grapes.

[00:03:32]

And you tried them?

[00:03:33]

They were delicious green grapes. Very delicious.

[00:03:36]

Were they the cotton candy ones?

[00:03:38]

No, just standard green grapes.

[00:03:40]

Yeah. I mean, those are the best grapes, but I hear you.

[00:03:44]

Another person sent me a pen that they made. A handmade pen.

[00:03:47]

Handmade pen.

[00:03:49]

Should we start featuring stuff like I kind of like that kind of fan mail when it's like an object.

[00:03:55]

I've gotten some weird stuff.

[00:03:56]

A handmade pen. It's a good pen. I'll bring it next episode. I'll show you guys.

[00:04:00]

When I was younger, I used to look at a lot of the fan mail in my first two or three years, and then I realized it's just a bunch of old ass men that are trying to get their kid to sign or using a kid. I don't even know if it'd be their kid or not to try and get stuff signed for them.

[00:04:22]

Yeah, for sure. Well, for them, not for the kid.

[00:04:25]

Yeah, exactly.

[00:04:25]

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure that there are some kids that have signed stuff and send it in to get signed, but the reality is the majority of people are looking to resell it are just grown men that are trying to make money off of it. Either way, don't give me an errand to run when you send me fan mail. If you give me some grapes, I'll eat the grapes and be very appreciative. But if you sending me stuff to do something to it and then send it back to you, that's too many hours. I'm not participating.

[00:04:57]

Just so you know, to all those kids out there, don't send your card in to the Chief Set Arrowhead. I probably won't even see it.

[00:05:05]

It's not going to be returned.

[00:05:06]

Yeah, it's not going to get returned. You're just going to lose a card.

[00:05:08]

I can't tell you how many cards I got sitting in those boxes.

[00:05:12]

If you see me in person, I got you all day.

[00:05:14]

As long as it's, like, random.

[00:05:17]

Yeah. Don't show up to my front door.

[00:05:18]

Exactly.

[00:05:19]

Well said. Moving on.

[00:05:23]

We need to cut this entire segment.

[00:05:25]

So it's a rough start right now. It's a rough start. It's a rough start. But from Huff dizzle on TikTok, we've got an impression of me this past weekend. Have you seen this jason?

[00:05:38]

Yeah.

[00:05:39]

What'd you think?

[00:05:40]

I watched it earlier. I'm watching it again.

[00:05:42]

Was it accurate?

[00:05:42]

I mean, he's definitely uses your phrases. All right, Travis, and I understand, you.

[00:05:46]

Know, with paparazzi and every thought out.

[00:05:49]

To you, but we have to kind.

[00:05:50]

Of go over some protocol.

[00:05:51]

Okay. All right.

[00:05:52]

Now no, Travis, not everything is all right now. You left out of the Chiefs game.

[00:05:59]

With your mustache in a convertible with zero security. Absolutely not. And then next thing you know, this past weekend, you were on the news.

[00:06:09]

Shoving me out of the way.

[00:06:11]

News? Stop saying new news. This is good. It's good stuff.

[00:06:16]

Solid stuff. You could tell that they're probably a little bit of a 92 percenter.

[00:06:20]

Probably? Oh, yeah, a little bit.

[00:06:21]

I mean, if you're saying new news and all right, now, you've definitely tuned into the show once or twice.

[00:06:27]

Did you get any pushback from the actual security guards about pushing them out of the way the one night?

[00:06:32]

Pushing them out of the way?

[00:06:34]

I mean, it's on camera, Travis.

[00:06:35]

I didn't push him. I placed my hand on the gentleman's back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me.

[00:06:43]

That sounds like a way that somebody you push, somebody would describe pushing them.

[00:06:49]

You're ridiculous.

[00:06:50]

I didn't push them. I just put my hand on them and moved them.

[00:06:53]

Good. Sir, can you excuse me? I need to get the door. Sorry. Thank you. I'm right behind you. Don't want to startle you. I know it's your job to keep crazy people away, and if you just randomly get pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming. No, I didn't. Didn't one time get security to say anything about it? They'll tell you what, they're great. They're great. They're good people.

[00:07:19]

Have you had to enact any security of your own?

[00:07:22]

Of my own.

[00:07:22]

Do you feel like you're like a security guard when you're with Taylor?

[00:07:26]

I'm part of the team, yeah.

[00:07:28]

Like you're one with the rest of the fellas.

[00:07:33]

I feel like whenever I'm on a date, I'm always having the sense of, like, I'm a man in the situation, I'm protective. Yeah, for sure. You always kind of have that feeling or that self awareness, I guess.

[00:07:48]

Where do you sit when you go into a restaurant?

[00:07:53]

Wherever they have the table.

[00:07:56]

Well, at the table, what seat do you choose?

[00:07:59]

The more convenient one. What do you mean?

[00:08:03]

You choose the seat with the best view of all of your potential threats within the establishment.

[00:08:09]

But what if somebody else wants the view of, like it's the best view of this entire place.

[00:08:14]

It's your job to protect Travis. So it's your job to have the best view.

[00:08:17]

No, you just got to know where the exits are.

[00:08:19]

Exits and entrances. Yep. You gotta know where that's at know.

[00:08:22]

Where those are at. That's preferably a seat against a wall.

[00:08:26]

So that you can observe everything that's happening.

[00:08:29]

No way you're doing this.

[00:08:30]

I swear. Ask Kylie. The moment I go in there, I do not like being seated in the middle of a room. I only like being seated up against a wall.

[00:08:38]

Noted.

[00:08:39]

There you go.

[00:08:39]

You ever had security?

[00:08:40]

No, I'm the security.

[00:08:42]

Well, if you get security, you could probably go right in the middle of the room. Let's keep this thing moving. Shout to 92 percenters. As always, for all your mentions and yeah, we appreciate you guys doing some impersonations and or in some impressions. Jason, clean your fucking locker.

[00:09:01]

I did. Well, somebody else did.

[00:09:04]

Nice.

[00:09:04]

It's clean. That's the bottom line. All right, let's get to it. 92 percenters. The part of the show that we look forward to each and every week. That's right. It's time for no dumb questions. No Dumb Questions is brought to you by Buffalo Wild Wings. Let's go. Sports Bar. All right, first, no Dumb Question is brought to you by at spur 40.

[00:09:27]

Okay.

[00:09:28]

Do you think rugby players have a chance in the NFL? Absolutely not. I mean, maybe the best if you.

[00:09:37]

Get a big dancing bear that plays offensive line.

[00:09:39]

I suppose that is true. We actually do have a former rugby player that is playing in the NFL, jordan Malata. But unless you're six 9380 pounds, I would say that the chances are limited.

[00:09:51]

It's just a different game.

[00:09:53]

It's a much different game. Everybody keep I mean, I think people keep comparing them.

[00:09:56]

There's one common skill set, and that's quarterback sneaks. Toughness.

[00:10:01]

Oh, sorry. Toughness.

[00:10:02]

Yeah, you might be able to get a kicker. Might be able to get a kicker. There's probably some oh, yeah.

[00:10:09]

But we're talking about football players, not.

[00:10:10]

There'S a few Australian punters in the league that I know have all started off being Australian football players.

[00:10:17]

Yeah, there's definitely kicker would be the best chance. Or punter. And then if you're an enormously skilled athlete, of course there's a chance you go play in the NFL. That is always on the table.

[00:10:28]

Always.

[00:10:29]

But as a blanket statement, I'm going to say no. I think that they're much different. Rugby is more the energy systems is like a physical longer. There's not like stoppages, and it's not as violent if that's the right word to say. Is that not the right word? It's not as high impact. Is that fair?

[00:10:54]

Yeah, I can't say that to be true.

[00:10:58]

All right.

[00:10:59]

I think it's still very much as physical as football is. I just don't think there's as much skill in rugby, respectively.

[00:11:09]

Well, I mean, I guess I play offensive line, which requires zero skill, but I could certainly see a tight end being the case.

[00:11:18]

I think that's where it kind of.

[00:11:20]

Like the physicality of the two sports is different. Rugby is you're not wearing pads, so each hit is going to hurt a little bit more. You see those guys bang like, you see them bleeding all the time.

[00:11:31]

All the time.

[00:11:32]

Like they're bleeding. They're bandaged up. It looks gnarly. Their fingers are torn up. Ears are cut up.

[00:11:38]

I want to go watch a game right now.

[00:11:40]

I know.

[00:11:40]

I love watching love watching rugby.

[00:11:42]

But the NFL, because of the pads, the collisions are just much more forceful. Yeah, but you don't see as much of the typically gruesome features that you'll see in rugby. And I got to say, I do think of the two. I mean, you're going to be hard pressed to tell me the rugby players are not tougher. Who is tougher? Conventional metrics? I'm probably going, dude, rugby is pads, dude. They don't wear pads. And then they're going out and they're.

[00:12:11]

Drinking just but I will say this, not a lot of them are 300 down with that. Not a lot of them are. You know what I mean?

[00:12:17]

It's a different level. Would you rather get punched in the face ten times, or would you rather like a Nissan sedan run you over once? That's kind of the different levels of the physicality.

[00:12:33]

Explain that one. Big cat. Which one's which?

[00:12:39]

Rugby is like punched in the face ten times. You don't have pads on. Somebody's going to punch you physically, it's going to hurt, and it's going to be brutal. You got to be a tough guy to take a hit, right?

[00:12:49]

Yeah.

[00:12:50]

The Nissan sedan, you're going to wear pads, but it's going to run you over, and then that's like a football collision.

[00:12:56]

Yeah. I will say this. People ask me all the time, it's like, do all the hits hurt? And it's just like well, you know those birds, the scooters that you get downtown?

[00:13:06]

Yeah.

[00:13:06]

Those things probably I mean, they go anywhere from like 15 to 20 mph. You can get some of them up probably even faster than that. But imagine just like taking that into the park and just going across the park and then just getting it up to like 17, then just having somebody clothesline you. That's football.

[00:13:25]

Essentially when they've done the impact studies, they compare it to car collisions. Car impacts.

[00:13:31]

Yeah.

[00:13:31]

So maybe a Nissan's not fair, but.

[00:13:34]

Either way, either way, not questioning the toughness and how physically demanding rugby is. That'd be another good could football players play rugby? There's probably a lot of guys in the NFL that will not sign up for that gig.

[00:13:48]

No, definitely not.

[00:13:49]

But the Kelsey Boys will.

[00:13:50]

I'd for sure do it.

[00:13:52]

I think that might be a fucking blast. Yeah. I'd flank like a motherfucker.

[00:13:56]

We'd have to get some tips from Ed Kelsey.

[00:13:57]

I'd be the one, like drop kicking it and running to go get it.

[00:14:00]

Yeah, that's a good move. Solid move.

[00:14:02]

I lateraled it last week.

[00:14:04]

We already know about my quarterback sneak skills.

[00:14:06]

We'd be scrumming it up scrumming it up right now. Who knows? Maybe we'll see a rugby player one of these days, become an NFL superstar like Jordan Blonde did. Yeah. All right.

[00:14:17]

At meme. Underscore K 24. Childhood, no dumb question. Love childhood. No dumb questions. Did you go to Cedar Point as young kids? Any funny memories from the trips there? And who threw up first? Well, yeah, we did go to Cedar Point a lot.

[00:14:35]

Just about once or twice a year.

[00:14:37]

We also went to Joga Lake before it became Six Flags.

[00:14:41]

Jogger Lake. I heard Joga Lake might be coming back.

[00:14:43]

Jogger Lake's coming back.

[00:14:44]

I heard it might be coming back.

[00:14:47]

What was the best ride at Lake? Yeah.

[00:14:51]

The water park. I didn't really go on much of the rides from what I remember.

[00:14:54]

Dipper, bro. Big Dipper.

[00:14:56]

But then again, I was just about to mention this when you brought up Cedar Point.

[00:15:01]

I guess we shouldn't talk about Joga Lake because this person asked about Cedar Point.

[00:15:04]

Shout out to my friends. A lot of my friends worked at Giaga Lake when we were in middle school and early years of high school, I believe.

[00:15:12]

But we did go to Cedar Point a lot. I guess for those of you that don't know.

[00:15:17]

Yeah, we got to lay the law.

[00:15:19]

Cedar Point is Roller Coaster, USA. It is the premier roller coaster amusement park in the country. Well, at least it was, I think, in the world.

[00:15:30]

In the world. You can't tell me it's not in the world. It had five or six world record breaking roller coasters.

[00:15:37]

Yeah, it just kept breaking them for a number of years.

[00:15:39]

That was, like, our deal.

[00:15:41]

And now there's, like, King de Cob broke theirs, and it's the same ride as the Dragster. But that's a whole nother story.

[00:15:46]

Yeah, they took the Dragster down, I think.

[00:15:48]

Yeah. I mean, it makes sense.

[00:15:50]

Well, that thing would go up. It would go to the highest point. Any roller coaster gets stuck, and then it would come right back down. You go down backwards, the way you just went up it so yeah, I get it. I get why they took that thing down. But it was the scariest thing I've ever been on in my life, the Dragster.

[00:16:08]

Was it the scariest?

[00:16:09]

The dragster.

[00:16:10]

I still think what's scarier? That or, like, the one that you go all the way up to the top and you just plummet immediately?

[00:16:18]

Yeah, I don't like that one.

[00:16:20]

And I never had the balls the.

[00:16:21]

One that just up and down the whole time?

[00:16:23]

Yes. I never had the balls to get on the one where it's just, like, a bungee cord attached to, like, a steel cage, and they just launch you like a slingshot. I don't know who's motivated enough. I can get on some rides now, but that is one that I firmly am, like, no interest in doing. That one. Like, zero.

[00:16:41]

We might need to just throw some GoPros on and go visit Cedar Point just one time.

[00:16:46]

Well, I'll go to Cedar Point, but I'm not going on that slingshot ride. I'm not doing it.

[00:16:49]

Come on.

[00:16:50]

No.

[00:16:51]

Live a as a kid, I didn't go on any of them. It took me until I got to college and then after college, that when I went back to Cedar Point. I could finally go on the Millennium Force and the Dragster and all these rides.

[00:17:05]

I will go on record, the best ride still at Cedar Point is Millennium Force. It's not even close. Millennium Force. That was such a well made ride.

[00:17:14]

Electric.

[00:17:15]

The problem with the dragster was it was over. It was like over in 25 seconds. Like you're done the whole thing. You wait in line for 6 hours for 25 seconds to go, then 200.

[00:17:25]

Some miles an hour. Which is pretty fucking sweet.

[00:17:27]

Yeah, I mean, that's dope.

[00:17:28]

Yeah, I'm with you.

[00:17:29]

But I think Millennium is over an hour. Over a minute, if I'm not mistaken.

[00:17:33]

Not to say for an hour.

[00:17:36]

You can't too much.

[00:17:37]

No, it was 100% the best.

[00:17:39]

So my favorite is actually is Millennium Force. But Raptor was my favorite growing up. You're just like.

[00:17:48]

Feet dangling. No, the Pray Manus is the one where you stand up on it.

[00:17:51]

Yeah, but that one's there, too, right?

[00:17:53]

Yeah. The Raptor was the best, though. Feet dangling, doing all the loops. It's the first ride as soon as you walk into the left. I remember that thing.

[00:18:02]

I remember the Magnum was magnum was the first original.

[00:18:07]

Like, hey, it's fucking wooden.

[00:18:09]

No, Magnum is not wooden.

[00:18:11]

I thought it was wooden. I think it might be wooden, dude, it's not.

[00:18:13]

It's definitely it's red, it's metal and it's red.

[00:18:15]

No, just the cart's red.

[00:18:16]

The magnum is not wooden. I promise you.

[00:18:18]

That'd be nuts if it was wooden.

[00:18:21]

It's not wooden. I don't need to even look at a picture. But that was the first one they built that was the tallest in the world. Then they one upped it in the year 2000 when they made Millennium Force. And that was and still is my favorite ride there. And then the dragster.

[00:18:35]

Yeah.

[00:18:35]

And they broke their own record three times in a row.

[00:18:38]

They had a water park as well. A pretty gnarly one. I think that was the first wave pool I had ever been.

[00:18:43]

No, no. Your first wave pool was Typhoon Lagoon dog. I was there for that one.

[00:18:47]

Giga Lake walt Disney World.

[00:18:49]

Typhoon Lagoon.

[00:18:50]

Lagoon. How do I forget a name like that? What made you remember that one?

[00:18:56]

This is my first time going in a wave pool either.

[00:19:00]

I was just so small and of a human that the waves just looked way bigger. But I don't think we were body surfing.

[00:19:06]

I'm telling you, Typhoon Lagoon had a bigger one.

[00:19:10]

I've looked at their most recent ones and they're not as big. The further you went out, it got like you're risking your life, the younger you are, for sure. It's like, that kid's way too young to be out there. He's going to die.

[00:19:22]

But as with any amusement park, the best thing about any amusement park is not the rides, it's the dipping dots. The ice cream of the future that has been the ice cream of the future now for 40 years and has never made it outside of amusement parks. But somehow it is still delicious every.

[00:19:38]

Time you go, dude, those in the elephant ears, man.

[00:19:40]

I don't remember the elephant ears.

[00:19:42]

White powder over the fried funnel cake. Yeah, funnel cake. I don't know why I called it elephant ear.

[00:19:48]

Is that a thing?

[00:19:50]

I think so.

[00:19:52]

All right. Well, yeah, those are delicious, too, but those are at every carnival. Where have you ever seen dippin'dots? I mean, I guess sporting events. I've seen some dipping dots.

[00:20:00]

I've seen them at Pat Mahomes garage. He's got a garage?

[00:20:04]

Shut up.

[00:20:04]

He's got a freezer of dipping dots.

[00:20:06]

Pat Mahomes has a freezer of dipping dots. What is he, Richie Rich? Pat Mahomes, he's just got a random like does he have a roller coaster in his backyard, too?

[00:20:13]

No, he's got a par three, but I don't think gotta get a roller coaster. Pat, did dad or mom tell the story about you getting lost?

[00:20:24]

That wasn't an amusement park. That was at the county fair, I think, maybe. Or a carnival.

[00:20:28]

Yes, they did tell that story.

[00:20:30]

Well, I don't know if they told that story or not. Either way, we got a bunch of new listeners. Tell it again.

[00:20:34]

Who cares when we did go on road trips as kids?

[00:20:37]

Oh, that one. I thought you're talking about the one that was at the you got lost.

[00:20:41]

At an amusement park. That was me, and that's why I.

[00:20:45]

Was we both got lost at them because I definitely got lost at one of those.

[00:20:48]

Yeah, mom would always tell us where to meet up immediately.

[00:20:52]

You walk in, hey, if we get lost, we're coming back to the clock statue.

[00:20:56]

Yeah, right there. There's always something in the beginning. She eventually got pissed and sick of us getting lost, and she put me in a backpack. Leash? Yeah.

[00:21:09]

You did. The International I was a leash kid symbol for backpack. I didn't know.

[00:21:13]

Yeah, well, that's what it was. It was a harness. You put it around your shoulders, you'd connect it twice. I was a leash kid.

[00:21:20]

Wow.

[00:21:21]

Just dragging my parents across the entire.

[00:21:26]

I don't remember that. I missed out on the leash, man. Let me go.

[00:21:32]

All right, moving on to our last no, dumb question. Shout out to everybody in Ohio or anybody that's gone to Cedar Point. Jason, I think we do need to do the GoPros and show everybody how amazing that place is.

[00:21:44]

I'll do that.

[00:21:45]

How about you grow a pair of fucking nuts and go on the jungle. What is it?

[00:21:49]

Slingshot thing?

[00:21:49]

Yeah, the slingshot thing.

[00:21:51]

I don't know what it's called, but everybody knows what I'm talking about. And no, I'm not it has nothing to do with ball. The thing is stupid. I'm not going on it. It's the dumbest thing.

[00:22:01]

Moving on to the next no dumb question. What is the from at it's? Megan query. What is the most confusing or infuriating penalty to get during a game at this point? The way the game is going, it's a penalty. Like a roughing the passer that isn't roughing the passer.

[00:22:20]

Oh, that's spot on.

[00:22:22]

I don't know why. It just makes me cringe. I love it know we get but sure.

[00:22:28]

Yeah. When it helps out, you're not that infuriating.

[00:22:30]

But it makes me feel like I'm getting away with something if pat doesn't get like fucking helmet to helmet.

[00:22:35]

He was asking for one in the game which was not a ref in the passer.

[00:22:38]

It was close.

[00:22:39]

It was not it was ridiculous that he was even asking for it.

[00:22:42]

The guy was aiming for his head, bro.

[00:22:45]

We're not getting into this.

[00:22:46]

I said it in my head. I was like, pat, you're probably getting that call, but I'm with you. When in doubt, I'm with you. You got to throw that, man. You got to throw that.

[00:22:55]

How are you just going to let that guy get away with that? It's definitely not a penalty. Yeah, I think that's the perfect answer. I don't think we need to even bring up another one.

[00:23:04]

I think that's no, maybe.

[00:23:09]

Any type of phantom flag is hard to deal with in the moment when an official gets it wrong. But for some reason the roughing the passer ones feel like they're so forced that it's definitely become a bigger issue, I feel like when those have been getting called. So I'm with you on that.

[00:23:27]

Yeah. You just feel it. And to our last one.

[00:23:30]

Yeah. Last note of question from eva at barcelona baby. Twelve.

[00:23:36]

That's barcelona, baby.

[00:23:40]

Barcelona and was born in 2012. NOTAM questions. My friend wants to know if intern brandon my friend wants to know if intern brandon is single because she thinks he is very cute at new height show at tklc at JKLC.

[00:23:55]

Okay, eva.

[00:23:56]

Well, you know what, eva, we think.

[00:23:58]

He'S pretty cute too.

[00:23:59]

So he's so cute that we decided to bring him on the show to answer this NOTAM question.

[00:24:03]

Intern brandon and everyone knows barcelona baby.

[00:24:08]

That's a bullshit question.

[00:24:09]

We know that friend wants to know really means you want to know.

[00:24:11]

Exactly. Yeah. How does it know?

[00:24:15]

It's a fair question.

[00:24:16]

It is a fair question that someone in barcelona is attracted brandon.

[00:24:20]

How does that make I don't love it.

[00:24:22]

I'm going to be honest with you.

[00:24:23]

Don't love the attention. This is not my show don't know what I'm here to make prize picks.

[00:24:28]

I'm here to catch second brandon, you're every part of this show.

[00:24:33]

No, it's weird. I don't like seeing my name out there.

[00:24:36]

I'm not buying that.

[00:24:38]

You're new Heights Most Wanted. You're like Malibu's Most Wanted, but new Heights Most wanted.

[00:24:43]

Jake's the cutie. If we had to rank the cute boys of new Heights, jake's number one.

[00:24:49]

But b rand sounds b rand.

[00:24:52]

Yeah, that's the grew up I grew up being called B Rand. That was definitely the nickname. Barcelona baby. To answer your friend's don't be hate question. No, I am unfortunately not sorry. I'm sorry that's our viewership is plummeting right now because they're all tuned in for me.

[00:25:09]

Wait, why are you sorry?

[00:25:10]

Sorry to inform no, you sorry to inform Eva that her dreams are now ruined.

[00:25:15]

But to be honest, there could be an update on that very soon. This past weekend, my girlfriend and I were watching a little program called Saturday Night Live. A young man by the name of Travis Kelsey jumped up there. And for a lot of people who don't know, I was lucky enough heard that.

[00:25:30]

I know young.

[00:25:33]

And people don't know this, but I was lucky enough to weasel my way backstage when Travis you hosted. And it was time of my life. I got to bring my girlfriend, and we were sitting there and I said, oh, my God. Can you believe that? We got to do this to Travis. It's crazy. We were there at SNL with him, and she did not acknowledge my question. She kept staring dead on forward, and she goes, do you remember he hugged me, and I went, God damn it. A whole night of sketches and after.

[00:26:04]

Parties and going home, and the hug.

[00:26:08]

Is the first thing she brought up. I'll let you know, Eva.

[00:26:13]

He's a mesmerizing face.

[00:26:17]

I knew she was with you, so I wanted to make her feel the love of new Heights, so I gave her a good hug.

[00:26:23]

No, listen, the hug is not an issue. The hug is not an issue. It's that that's the first memory of the evening is travis hugged me.

[00:26:32]

So brandon, it's not what you think it is. Travis is just a really good hugger. Trust me. It's a very known Kelsey genetic.

[00:26:38]

He's a hugger. He's a door opener. He's a fucking hand holder.

[00:26:42]

He crushed it.

[00:26:43]

I have seen so many he's a.

[00:26:46]

Creative character in boyfriend material.

[00:26:53]

So much footage breaking down Travis Kelsey's hand holding, and I'm like every attribute.

[00:26:59]

We could give him.

[00:27:00]

Guys, that's three points of contact. That's football.

[00:27:02]

That's not hand at all.

[00:27:04]

Yeah, they caught me with some weird handholding poses there. That was crazy.

[00:27:11]

We'll move on. We'll move on.

[00:27:12]

We'll move not. That's not what this show is about. This show is not about that.

[00:27:16]

Sorry, Eva. Well played, Brandon. Well played.

[00:27:19]

Thank you for ruining Eva's friends from Barcelona's question.

[00:27:25]

Thank you for always making this show amazing.

[00:27:29]

Eva here. Are we talking to Brandon?

[00:27:31]

You.

[00:27:31]

Can see you later.

[00:27:33]

We'll see your cute ass later, big guy.

[00:27:38]

Oh, my gosh.

[00:27:39]

That was no dumb questions. Brought to you by buffalo wild wings. Let's go. Sports Bar.

[00:28:36]

Oh, my God.

[00:28:38]

How was your weekend?

[00:28:39]

My weekend with prize picks. I actually feel gross. I have to admit something and I feel bad about it. I did good. I did it by placing some real money on the Cowboys.

[00:28:50]

Oh, my God.

[00:28:51]

I'm sorry.

[00:28:51]

Why would you tell me that?

[00:28:52]

I don't know.

[00:28:53]

I don't need to know this.

[00:28:54]

This is a place of honesty. This is a place of truth and honesty, and I feel like I tell you everything. So I'm sorry. I won't do it again.

[00:28:59]

They were playing the charges, so I'm not mad at you.

[00:29:01]

Thank you. That's right, Travis.

[00:29:03]

I'll beat it.

[00:29:03]

There we go.

[00:29:04]

All right.

[00:29:04]

Two quick picks and get out of here. All right, folks, this week, my picks. I'm going to go with AJ. Brown for receiving yards. I'm going to stay on that Hype train, and I'm going to go with Isaiah Pacheco for rushing yards. I'm going back to kiss ass by picking Chiefs and Eagles players. But you can pick anything you want on prize picks. They got passing yards, rushing yards, touchdown rushing, passing, TD combos, INTs field goals. Take a look at the app. Have a field day. I'm going to get the guys back on. This is part where I wave. Let's get them back.

[00:29:36]

Travis. Travis.

[00:29:38]

We are legally in the clear. Goodbye.

[00:29:41]

Perfect.

[00:29:41]

All right, beat it. Hopefully our intern did you guys right. And if you want to get into daily fantasy this season, go to Prizepix.com New Heights and use the code New Heights for a first deposit match up to $100.

[00:30:51]

Jason, let's keep this thing rolling, baby.

[00:30:53]

All right, let's get to these bold topics. Chiefs, 19, Broncos eight. Yeah. Initial thoughts from the first divisional matchup for you guys this year. What do you got? Trev?

[00:31:03]

Kind of along the lines of what you said last week. You got to put up touchdowns, man. You got to put up tuddies when you're in the red zone.

[00:31:09]

Got to.

[00:31:10]

And on top of that, our defense is still playing their tail off and making our team look really good. We just have to find ways to freaking score touchdowns, man. It's just frustrating, and it's hard because it's like you want to be the reason why we're doing great, and right now it's kind of up and down. It's not great. Coach Nagy, Matt Nagy, our OC. Nags one of my favorite guys. He challenged all of us this morning, actually, to stop saying we're going to fix it and go out there and do it and do it having some fun. Man. We got a lot of good personalities and a lot of great players on this team, especially on the offensive side. We just got to find the groove and find the rhythm, and sure enough, we're doing it finding ways to win, but it's not helping out our defense as much as we would love to. But that's the biggest thing for me, is just being able to score touchdowns and not making it harder on our defense. Man.

[00:32:07]

Well, you guys may be being tough on yourselves, but it is your fifth straight win. The final score of 19 to eight has only happened one time before. Nice little LeBron stat in 1927.

[00:32:20]

That's a wild stat. Yeah.

[00:32:22]

The Chiefs have now won 16 straight games against the Broncos, which is the longest active winning streak versus one team in the NFL. The Eagles and jets had a nice one there for a little bit, but that spoiler alert, that didn't go well. Defense played lights out. You guys had another incredible game on. Defense held the Broncos just eight points, shut them out through the three and a half quarters of the game. Finished with two INTs, four sacks and a fumble recovery. Stone Cold Jones kept his stack streak alive, as we all saw that happen with five and a half sacks this season. Yeah. The Chiefs defense is only allowing 284 yards per game and 12.8 points per game. Yeah, the fewest points per game allowed by the Chiefs defense or a Chiefs team since 1969.

[00:33:04]

Damn.

[00:33:05]

Baldi himself is calling the Chiefs D the most complete defense in the NFL. Do you think this is the most complete defense you have played with?

[00:33:14]

I mean, it sure seems to mean I don't know if I've been a part of a Spags defense, just you've.

[00:33:20]

Been on some good defenses now.

[00:33:21]

Yeah. Early on in my career, that was what we know was defense, and Coach Reed found ways to get Jamal to ball, hand that thing off to Jamal Charles, and really use him as a wide receiver, as just an offensive weapon. And our defense was star studded with guys like Justin Houston, derek Berry, derek Johnson, poe, dantari Poe, tomba Ali, like we Brandon Flowers. We had some dogs. Yeah, you did shout out to Sean Smith. Looking at that defense, a lot more star studded. Familiar names.

[00:33:53]

I want to say the same thing. The star studdedness probably greater back then.

[00:33:58]

Justin Houston had, like, 20 sacks. One of those years.

[00:34:01]

Chris Jones, he's doing pretty good.

[00:34:04]

Whether it's one of them or the best right now, it's so much fun to play with that defense because they get it. They're flying around. They're having fun. It's definitely a team effort. Guys are rallying to the ball, and Spags is one of the most motivating guys that I feel like there is in the NFL. I mean, we were at halftime, and SPACs, he's acting like he's not satisfied at all. They're getting too many yards in the ground, things like that, and it's just we got to rally to the ball. When we hit him, we got to hit him harder. He was kind of firing me up even more, and I'm like, I'm about to start screaming at everybody on the offense, but it's not like we're losing the game or anything. So it's fun to play with guys that are just motivated to be their absolute best and never getting satisfied with. And I think that's one thing that Coach Spaggs does better than a lot of coaches in the NFL, and that's motivate guys to never be satisfied or complacent at all with what's going on.

[00:35:11]

Not only is Spaggs a great motivator, but Schematically, he mixes it up as well as anybody does. And I feel like in order to mix it up truly and try and come with all these different types of blitzes or different types of coverages, you have to be not only good in the back end, but smart.

[00:35:31]

Smart. You got to be intelligent, man, it.

[00:35:34]

Feels like your guys back end right now, the defensive secondary, it is dialed in, brother. The linebacker, they're good across the board, you know what I mean? There's not a weakness in the defense, but the secondary, I feel like when that thing is clicking, it is so fun to watch, because they fly around they're all over the field.

[00:35:53]

All over.

[00:35:55]

Freaking Justin Reed's out there making plays left and right. It's fun to watch right now.

[00:35:59]

Jay Reed's killing it. Duffy's killing. I mean, everybody's absolutely killing. I think a great addition was Mike Edwards. When the ball's in the air, he's a ball hawking safety, and he's always flying. You know, just you just love to see the young know. Cincinnati's own Brian Cook is out there being an absolute menace.

[00:36:17]

Yeah, baby.

[00:36:18]

Getting in the run game when he finds ways to get around the ball. He's had a few opportunities for some turnovers and got a few already for us this year. When you get everybody, like you said, on the same page, and then you get guys just freaking playing with confidence, that's tough to beat.

[00:36:35]

It's a good recipe.

[00:36:36]

It's tough to beat.

[00:36:37]

Well, the offense was certainly doing their thing a little bit. Even though you guys struggled in the red zone, you did not struggle to move the football. And including a big game for the big Yeti.

[00:36:48]

Yeti. Yeti.

[00:36:49]

How about that, trav 124 yards receiving. It felt like it was going to be a big day right from the get go. You had like, maybe the first two or three catches or something like that. It was right away. I mean, you were getting peppered with the ball. Yeah. I mean, you had 109 of those yards came in the first half on seven receptions.

[00:37:07]

Yeah.

[00:37:08]

Second time in your career that you've recorded 100 plus yards receiving in the first half of a game. You've only done that twice.

[00:37:17]

I got to have a better second half. That's all. That's all that's telling me I got to fucking play better. I got to finish the game like I started.

[00:37:23]

It felt like you were in for a career day early. I was like, man, they ain't covering Trav. This is going to be a big day for a man.

[00:37:29]

Feed.

[00:37:42]

First drive, which what was everybody thinking when Andy Reid called in a lateral play in the first drive?

[00:37:50]

I've been screaming, we need to put a hook and lateral play in. And Coach Reed is just like, I'm not doing that.

[00:37:57]

As is every coach in the NFL.

[00:38:00]

It's like that play works in college and has never worked in the NFL. Maybe once or twice in the NFL. And everybody's just ready for it at this point.

[00:38:09]

Okay?

[00:38:10]

So I took it upon myself to.

[00:38:14]

Just prove that it works.

[00:38:16]

It's destiny, Coach Reed. It's destiny. If you look at the play, I came off the ball and immediately turned around because there was a blitzer. And I thought Pat was just going to dot me with the ball while guys were sinking, while the defense, everybody in the back end was sinking with all our speedsters. And I guess Pat's, being a quarterback, got a lot of shit he's doing back there. He's going through his progression and he finally finds me, dots me with the ball. But I was short on my route because of how quick I turned around. So I was actually in Noah Gray's area of where he would have been getting the ball. Yeah, kind of felt a little guilty about might have stole a catch from him, but I made sure I got that thing to him. It felt weird. It's like, oh, man, I just stole his catch. And then I was just like, oh, this works out perfectly. Everybody's collapsing on me. They got me, but they don't got you. And we got the first down. Sometimes it goes for 20. Sometimes I throw the ball on the ground and it becomes a fumble, and we got to recover it.

[00:39:18]

And then sometimes you just get a first down. You keep the chains moving, man. Shout out to Noah Gray for being ready for that one, baby.

[00:39:24]

He said, do you do it a lot in practice? Because he knew it was going to happen.

[00:39:29]

I do it a lot in practice and then walkthroughs. I feel like it's so much fun doing that. Yeah, you got to test the waters, man, just to see what it looks like.

[00:39:39]

Make sure guys are paying attention.

[00:39:40]

That, too. You know what I mean? Everybody's finishing. Everybody's finishing.

[00:39:45]

Well, the only thing that isn't clicking right now for the Chiefs offense in this game was the red zone. You guys put together a great game. A lot of yards. Got the W, but yeah, struggled to get the ball in the end zone.

[00:39:57]

A lot of Bucker Harry 61 or 62 yard, I forget which one it was, but he had about an extra 15 yards on that thing.

[00:40:06]

Yeah, he's got a good leg.

[00:40:07]

That thing went through, like, the middle of the goalposts. He had an extra, like, 15 yards. He could have gone back, and I'm like, Damn, if he hits a 70.

[00:40:16]

Yarder, let's test it out.

[00:40:18]

If he hits a 70 yarder for the game, for the win, some, like, Justin Tucker stuff. That's how you get Goldberg speared of excitement from your teammates. Just like, no way.

[00:40:33]

You guys were one for five in the red zone. And Pat was asked after the game, and Mahomes was quoted as saying this, lucky for us, our defense has been playing great, so we can go through these growing pains and try to get better and better. The talent's there. You can see it in spurts, but we have to learn how to sustain drives, get down into the red zone and score touchdowns and make it easier for our defense to play free. Yeah, I mean, that sums it up.

[00:40:57]

Pat gets it. I think we all get it. And that's why I'd mentioned Coach Nagy saying it. It's like, yeah, we understand it. We feel how unstoppable we can be, and we just got to do it for four quarters, man. And the biggest thing is just go out there. And it doesn't matter what the defense is presenting, which play is called for us, go out there and make a play. Make it happen. I think that's one of the most special things about Pat being Magic Mahomes doesn't matter what the defense is in what they got going on, if they're just either they're blitzing everybody or they're making everyone sink into the red zone and making you dink and dunk underneath. Playing with Pat means anything's possible. And we just got to make sure that we get that ball in the fucking end zone, man. And that's the bottom line. And that's how we're going to move forward, going through the red zone, man.

[00:41:53]

Well, one of the things that stopped you up short in the red zone was a fourth and two play, which was a very Philadelphia Eagle, like where you guys decided to go with the brotherly shove only from a fake field goal formation. I don't think anybody saw this play coming, but it didn't work out.

[00:42:10]

Yeah, man. And the thing is, I always look at situations like this, like, where could I have done better on that drive around those last three plays before he was fourth and two, you know what I mean? And I caught a pass that was literally right around the sticks. And if I make a move or, you know what I mean, if I do something and get those extra yards or even get one extra yard, you know what I mean, that fourth and two becomes fourth and one. And now that sneak is the percentages go way higher than 92%.

[00:42:42]

All right.

[00:42:44]

I think that it's a great call because legally you're not allowed to line up over the center during a field goal. But once you go under center, you can rules off. So you try and catch them off guard of having nobody over the center and being able to get that push.

[00:43:00]

So that's what when I was watching it, that's what I thought initially was like, oh, that's why they did this, was because they were going to be able to catch them not in the A gaps. Like they were going to have to be over the guards. One of the ways that that play is open is if nobody's in an A gap. So credit to the Broncos, they reacted well to it. Everybody can make it like, oh, it looks so stupid when it doesn't work. But the broncos adjusted well. I don't know that every team in the NFL is going to be expecting a shift to a direct snap, quarterback sneep, or is even practicing. So, you know, I think obviously in hindsight doesn't look the best. But I think we're probably underselling the reaction that the Broncos special teams had to the play live in action. I think that was actually a really good adjustment on their end that made it more difficult to run the play. But do you got any other final thoughts you want to share from little Thursday Night Football? How are you feeling after Thursday Night Football? Are you still a Thursday Night Football fan?

[00:44:00]

Still a Thursday Night Football fan? It gave me a little bit of a challenge coming off that ankle injury the week before. But sure, sometimes you just got to gut another one out, man. And I knew when I turned this ankle that I was going to be dealing with it for a few extra weeks. So this is a situation that's at hand, and I just got to keep working through it and keep trusting everybody in the training room and what my methods are off the field and my recovery protocols, that I take it'll slowly, get better as long as I don't tweak it. And if I keep tweaking it, then you'll see me with just keep it ankle all year.

[00:44:34]

Sometimes that's how it goes.

[00:44:35]

No, I don't have any other final thoughts, man. I got a lot of respect for the Broncos. Got even more respect after that game of seeing them fight the way they did. And those division games, man, they're never easy. And we got another one coming up.

[00:44:46]

This week, no doubt. LeBron stat of the game. Travis Kelsey caught seven of his nine receptions on hitch routes, tied for the most receptions on hitches in a game since 2018. Man, we really got a I don't even know that's necessary to share. All right, papa Kelsey in the spotlight. If you watch Thursday Night Football, first of all, they got it going on Amazon Prime's. Doing a good job with that broadcast.

[00:45:14]

No, I'm loving it. You already know.

[00:45:15]

Well, Al Michaels, Kirk, Herb Street. They're doing a fantastic job.

[00:45:18]

Absolutely killing it.

[00:45:19]

If you were watching the game, you saw something momentous happen. Momentous, which was Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelsey.

[00:45:27]

Yeah, Taylor talking to dad. You already know. You know dad like, I know dad.

[00:45:32]

Which is he shouldn't be talking to Taylor.

[00:45:35]

This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible. I felt terrible for Taylor for being.

[00:45:40]

In this talking to mom. All right, that's going to be fine.

[00:45:43]

Delightful. It's going to be a wonderful conversation.

[00:45:45]

If you see dad talking to anybody and you can't hear what's happening, who knows where that conversation's going?

[00:45:51]

We can't keep kicking dad just because we enjoy doing it, man. Our dad is the best fucking dad in the world. He is a great conversor or conversator, I'm telling you. However you want to put it, it's where Jason gets his storytelling, a lot of his charisma, man. Yeah. We're saying this just because we love to rag on the big guy, for sure.

[00:46:12]

And it was nice because mom has been getting quite a bit of the spotlight. So it was cool to see dad up there on the jumbotron for a little bit or on the TV for a little bit.

[00:46:22]

You can just see in this picture. All he's doing is just absolutely pumping her up. He started listening to her music a little more. He started doing some stuff just like, dad, we're dead.

[00:46:32]

Bless his heart. What is he saying? He said, Now I've taken all of.

[00:46:41]

Your stolen her music from the library.

[00:46:43]

He's probably saying, I've taken all of your CDs out at the local library, and I've started to burn them into my computer because that is legal. As a tax paying citizen, 92 percenters enjoyed seeing dad sitting next to Taylor as much as we did. And we got a bunch of comments. Nice user. Crude. Ouso. On the new Heights Reddit page, posted screenshots of Taylor and Papa Kelsey and the broadcast team and wrote, what are they talking about? And the responses did not disappoint different sleep. 58 Ten wrote, see, they used to call me Diapers because which, if they were talking about that, I would still love an explanation on that.

[00:47:30]

We still haven't gotten still haven't gotten that one.

[00:47:34]

Jimmy Jack, 87, wrote, proper nut kicking technique, which he will give a good tutorial on that.

[00:47:41]

He will give a good tutorial. Man, when I was punching people in the did I already tell the story? When I was punching people in training camp training camp came a big deal. I got a text from dad. He said, stop throwing fish. You need those to catch. Just kick them in the nuts one time, I promise they'll stop. They'll stop doing everything. Some things never change.

[00:48:03]

All right, in the next response from Tech, system wrote, talking about his new knees, of course.

[00:48:09]

New knees.

[00:48:10]

Yeah, baby.

[00:48:11]

She's got him dancing with those new knees.

[00:48:14]

Now, either way, it looks like they're having a good time. That was awesome to see.

[00:48:20]

Thank you for the 92 percenters. And thanks, dad, for not making me look bad, brother.

[00:48:26]

[00:49:42]

Check it out, 92 percenters. We have some great news. Buffalo Wild Wings is rolling out a new limited time only sauce just for football season. You're never going to guess what it is, Jason. Give it a try.

[00:49:55]

Is it Bourbon Barbecue?

[00:49:57]

Well, how'd you know?

[00:49:58]

I know everything there is to know about Bdubs. Travis. But for the 92 percenters out there that don't know, bourbon Barbecue Sauce is now on the menu at Bdubs. It is rich and complex with barbecue flavor, infused with Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey.

[00:50:16]

All right? Now, after all, everyone knows only thing better than sipping bourbon is chewing it at Bdubs. That's right. So head doubt, head out to your local Bdubs and try the Bourbon Barbecue. Or order the Bourbon barbecue wings@buffalowildwings.com this football season.

[00:50:33]

And remember, 92 percenters, bourbon Barbecue is only sticking around for a limited time while supplies last. So give it a try while you.

[00:50:41]

Still can do it. Right now you won't. Let's move on to the jets versus the Eagles. Unfortunately, the Eagles, man, you guys took your first loss of the year, man. Jets 20, Eagles 14. Why don't you hit us with some initial first thoughts, man, or final thoughts, I should say.

[00:50:59]

Yeah, I mean, obviously, credit to the jets, especially. Their defense played unbelievable. Yeah, we knew going in they were a good defense, even though they were missing their two corners. Sauce Gardner couldn't play read out as mean. This is just a team that has played well against everybody they've played against. And we knew it was going to be a tough task coming into it. Just didn't get it done. Too many mistakes, too many turnovers. We talked about it beforehand in the kind of the look ahead video that we do at the end of every week. Now, this is not a team that you can make mistakes against and still expect to win the game. And it ended up killing us. Yeah, that's my thoughts.

[00:51:42]

Yeah, I'm with you. And I think a good coach team is going to find a way to stay in a football game till the fourth quarter, man. And I think their head coaches, he's got to figure it out, man. But I did make it to the game. I did make it to the game. With you saying that you're going to retire every year for the past five years, I've tried to make it to every game that I could possibly make it to.

[00:52:04]

Well, that's just my strategy, just to make sure that you come to the games.

[00:52:08]

It's a good fucking strategy. That's your strategy the entire time. Cack second, when they showed me on the broadcast, first of all, Eagles jerseys were out in the stadium and the 62s are everywhere, everywhere right now. And I absolutely loved it. The graphic when they showed me describes me as Jason's brother.

[00:52:30]

Really?

[00:52:31]

Jason's brother? Yes.

[00:52:32]

Oh, wow. I get Travis's brother all the time. I did not know you were getting Jason's brother.

[00:52:36]

Yeah, man, I'm just look at that. I'll never be Jason Kelsey and I get reminded of it all the time. It just makes me feel like a little boy every time. It's the best. Very fitting, though. You already know I have my Gang Green on as I always do whenever I'm watching you play and got to enjoy it with some friends. And Kylie, kylie was standing right behind me and it was fun all the way up until the end, unfortunately.

[00:53:02]

Yeah, not a good ending, but thanks for coming, Trev. I always love every time we don't get to see each other's games often, so it was fun to have you there.

[00:53:12]

Been watching you play since I was twelve years old. One of my favorite pastimes dude. Jason, I know you absolutely hate talking about this, but you set a major record, man. You are now number one most consecutive starts in Eagles history. 145 straight starts this past Sunday. And you passed John Runyon who played 144 games for the Eagles from 2000 to 2008. Damn, that's like the one, it's like the interview that Kevin Hart and Don Cheeto did where he's like, how old are you now? And you told him how old he was and he was like, damn, that's old dog right there.

[00:53:54]

I don't like talking about it because it feels like every time somebody gets close to these records or whatnot, it doesn't go well.

[00:54:02]

That happened. My guy, Mitchell Schwartz.

[00:54:04]

Mitchell Schwartz, John Dormboss, the day he tied the record for most consecutive games or most Eagles games, it was one of those he never played an Eagles snap again, so I tried to not yeah, well, he broke his thumb and then he ended up having like aneurysm or something like that in his aorta. But not to give his entire HIPAA information out without permission. But I think first of all, it's an honor to play that long with an organization and certainly very lucky to have played that many games straight. But I will talk about John runyon a little bit. A lot of people don't know John Runyon played with a broken tailbone during that stretch and he also had a consecutive game streak from before the Eagles when he was with the Titans, I believe. So john still holds a record for consecutive starts if you go from before he was a Philadelphia Eagle sheesh. So I just want to say know very happy with how many games I've.

[00:55:02]

Played, but that's good company.

[00:55:04]

John's, the true iron man. I never played through something like that.

[00:55:07]

I can only imagine. Fuck that dude.

[00:55:10]

They said he couldn't sit down on the bench, he just had to stand the entire game.

[00:55:14]

What can you imagine landing on. That thing. Oh, my God. Jesus. Shout out to Big John Runyon, man. I think he's actually the he's on the fine board now.

[00:55:27]

He's the head of the fine board.

[00:55:29]

I forget his official title. I've had a few times where I'd had to talk to Johnny about some things. I thought I was getting heavily fined for that.

[00:55:39]

I didn't think was that oh, you had some rebuttal.

[00:55:44]

You were just talking about stone cold stunner and somebody I stone cold stunnered. Anthony Sherman in the end zone. One time I scored a touchdown against the Raiders. He came over like, yeah. Trav and he just had he was exposed. I was just.

[00:56:00]

Probably all for it.

[00:56:01]

No, he was all for it. And you already know the biggest thing if you're going to pull off a stunner is you got to act like you get stunnered, like you got electrocuted and you're dead. You got to sell it. That's half of the stunner. You got to sell it.

[00:56:14]

Where is this coming back with John Runya?

[00:56:16]

Well, John well, I got fined for it.

[00:56:17]

Why would you get fined for that?

[00:56:19]

Because I kicked him. And it's like violence and it's like this and that. I was just like, come on, man, we're playing play. Come on. It's just a wrestling move.

[00:56:28]

Yeah.

[00:56:28]

I'm not promoting violence. I'm promoting stone cold. Steve Austin.

[00:56:31]

Did it get rescinded?

[00:56:32]

I forget. It might have. I think John actually saw my side of the story there.

[00:56:40]

Well, for those of you that don't know, john Runyon, longtime offensive lineman in the NFL, now works as essentially the sheriff of the NFL. His job is the vice president of Policy and Rules administration, and he is in charge of all the fines, all the uniform violations, everything that is to do with players abiding and keeping the game safe. All that stuff falls under the guidance of John Runyon, who is coincidentally known as one of the dirtiest, toughest players ever played the game, which is just ironically that he is now the head of that. But it's kind of like, catch me if you can type deal with Leo DiCaprio. He's the best. Can't fool me, check forger in the world. And then all of a sudden, he starts working for the good guys. That's kind of john runyon, right?

[00:57:30]

There you go. That's pretty good, man. Shout out to Big John Runyon, man, for still having his hand in the NFL, man. Doing good things. Former senator making sure that fine money goes to 501 C, three S. What are they? LLCs all right, defensive battle, man. This one ended up being a battle of defenses by the end. And the Eagles defense finished the game with five sacks and held the jets offense to just one in five in the red zone. Held them to just nine points in the first half, maintained a 14 to twelve lead until the final touch, until the final touchdown with a minute 46 left in the fourth quarter. What's your favorite part about playing with that defense?

[00:58:15]

We get a lot of opportunities. When you have a bad defense, you got to be clicking from the get go. As an offense, you can't have mistakes and something that our defense has done an amazing job of all season, but especially this last game is they're so good that even when you turn the ball over four times, you're still in the game. At the end of it all the way down to that last two minute drive, we had an opportunity to at least win the game. And typically, you turn the ball over four times, it ain't a one score game at that point.

[00:58:46]

Percentages are down.

[00:58:47]

So, yeah, our defense has been unbelievable. Defensive line, the backfield, everybody's really humming right now, and Sean Desiree is those guys playing as a unit. So it's been fun to watch. And I think, unfortunately, we couldn't do enough to capitalize on all the good football that they were playing this past Sunday. When a defense has your back after you make a turnover and they only get three points or no points, that's a big moment for everybody on the team. But the offense definitely is very appreciative.

[00:59:19]

Being in the game that we played the jets, that place was absolutely rocking, especially later in the game when the jets started feeling like they really had the momentum and everything and it was rocking. This Sunday, your game was the same, man. The longer that game went and it didn't get out of hand, it kind of stayed close. Man, that place got rocking. And hats off to the jets because that's huge as a home team to have that kind of home field advantage and to get the momentum from the crowd and everybody rallying, man, I know as a fan of the game, I enjoy that atmosphere a lot and was really hoping you guys found a way in there. So shout out to Jets Jake for not being a complete bias fucking I don't know. I'm not know where I'm going with this anymore. Shout out to Jets Jake.

[01:00:10]

We're getting Jets Jake on here in a little bit.

[01:00:12]

We talked about this in our bonus video, our bonus preview video. Last week, you knew you were going to be in a fight against the jets. Defense despite AJ. Brown's big game, pink shoes going out there making plays the entire time, offense getting off to a nice start with the jalen to Swift TD in the first half. The jets held you guys to those 14 points. The rest of the game, boss.

[01:00:34]

Yeah.

[01:00:34]

Finished the game with two sacks, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery. That's a hell of a defensive line to come out of there with two sacks, isn't? I don't know where it is. Obviously, the turnovers are everything, though.

[01:00:49]

Yeah, but those sacks don't I mean, we did not do a good enough job of protecting the quarterback as a unit. It only says two sacks, but a lot of that's because of how good Jalen is. Yeah, we gave up too much pressure as an offensive line, but yeah, the turnovers are definitely what hurt us the most. They always do. We got to take care of the football. We had turnovers, drops, and then as an offensive line, we didn't run the ball well and we didn't protect Jalen well enough. And I think, listen, they're a good defense. I'm giving them their flowers. Defensive line is great. Linebackers. I mean running. Quincy Williams. CJ Mo. Those guys are all over the field making plays. The back end, even without the two starting mean, you know, they're going to play zone, they're going to mix it up, they're going to try and make it difficult. They do a good job of not leaving guys in bad positions or difficult positions. Salah really knows what he's doing over there in New York and they had the better day. I mean, it is what it, you know, for us.

[01:01:50]

We always just try and focus on ourselves, man.

[01:01:52]

Every time you give credit to your.

[01:01:54]

Opponent and they played a great game, but it's always about us. We just refocus on, okay, what do we got to do to improve? How do we get better? What were the things that were glaringly correctable for the Philadelphia Eagles? And if we would have corrected those things, we'll be in a chance to win games moving forward. And that's where our mindset is as it should be.

[01:02:15]

And just to give everybody some understanding on how good this jets defense is, specifically in the second half, which is adjustments, and like I was talking about, their head coach and their defensive coordinator, both are making great adjustments. The Buffalo Bills only scored three points. Dallas has got the most points in the second half on them and that's twelve four field goals. The biggest thing here is that they've allowed 31 points total in second half this year, and that's six games and only one touchdown, which is you hear us talking about the red zoning and punching that ball in the end zone late in the game. That is a huge advantage to be keeping your teams to just kick and field goals. Hats off to the jets. Man, I got faith that the boys over there, the brotherly shove, the gang, green is going to keep figuring it out. Man, you guys got too many great players and too many great offensive minds over there to keep stalling or to stay where you're at.

[01:03:20]

I guess it's going to keep on keeping on, brother. Kudos to them. I guess it's time. Bring them on.

[01:03:27]

Why are we bringing him back on?

[01:03:29]

I don't know. Because we played his team and everybody loves Jets Jake.

[01:03:34]

Jets jake, go ahead. Come on on, bud.

[01:03:36]

Here he comes. Oh, love the hat, Jake.

[01:03:40]

The hat.

[01:03:41]

Am I wearing this?

[01:03:43]

Is that corduroy? Is that corduroy? Is that Kelly Green shirt you have on?

[01:03:48]

It's a Jason Kelsey oh, my gosh shirt.

[01:03:50]

Because little new heights merch. Yeah.

[01:03:54]

Got to plug the merch. That's pretty much all I was saying on Sunday over and over again. So it felt fitting.

[01:04:01]

What are your thoughts from the game, Jake?

[01:04:03]

Listen, I thought both teams played hard. I thought it was a well fought game. No, I mean, I did not expect the jets to win that game. And the defense played lights out, and that's how we're going to have to win games for the rest of the season.

[01:04:18]

Dude, I'm not going to lie. There were moments in the game where I felt like I was just going to hear it from you. There was the blindside block that the whole stadium lost their mind on, which was a completely illegal block. And the jets are all, like, complaining about it. Bro, you can't crack back with your shoulder. That's a known rule in the NFL. And everybody's booing in the whole place. I think they were, the guy's hurt. He's down and hurt and the fans are booing. It was ridiculous. But regardless of that and then the AJ. Brown catch, I'm like, I already know Jets Jake is going to be losing his mind. That this is called a catch. But for some reason, you're not losing your mind. Yeah, you're not losing your mind because you guys won the game. Maybe that's the key to not losing your mind, is just winning football games.

[01:05:04]

Listen, I think the refs have a very hard job. I'd never come on here and complain about the know they have a tough job, and when it's a Sunday, you got to do what you gotta do and things are gonna go your way. And they might not.

[01:05:19]

Tell you what. There was a play late in the game where Devontae Smith, I believe it was the last fourth down, and Jalen gave Devontae a good chance at making a play down. You know, I thought there was a lot of just pulling while the ball was in the air and there might have been some interference. Listen, what do you think about that last play?

[01:05:44]

I think I got to quote Jason here and just say, let the boys play. I think they did their job this time. Swallow the whistle. It was a good game. I was wearing a rooting for offense shirt at one point, and then I realized I actually wanted the jets to win, so I took that off. But thanks for letting me come talk about the jets. Good luck for the rest of the.

[01:06:06]

Well, congratulations on your win, Jake. Fuck you and get off our show.

[01:06:11]

Now. Get the fuck out of here. Shout out to Jets Jake. Shout out to popping in.

[01:06:17]

God damn it.

[01:06:18]

Fuck that guy.

[01:06:18]

Yeah.

[01:06:19]

We love you. Well, post game it was reported that after the game, sirianni didn't say anything in the locker room and instead allowed certain players to speak up. Can you confirm?

[01:06:29]

Well, like, Nick gave the floor to somebody. There were just guys talking about how that was unacceptable. That's not the standard that we're holding ourselves to, that we need to play better, good leadership. Somehow I got roped into this, which I did not talk during this portion. I talked to guys on the team, but I'd not talked during this specific portion. But I think, as is usually the case, know your teammates and the people in the room. If you know anybody that's worth their salt as a teammate, everyone knows what happened in the game and what you got to do to improve. And I think Nick just felt like it had already been summed up, you know what I mean? He's just like, well, you guys heard him. Let's go back to work on Monday. And the expectations of ourselves and the level that we want to play at is very high, and I think, offensively speaking, we've been in and out of that. There are times that we've met up to that standard, and a lot of times where we have not, quite frankly, been consistent enough and we've made too many mistakes. And we know that.

[01:07:26]

And that was a big message to that. And we have to take accountability to improve that and play at the level that we want to play at. If you want to realize what you want to in this league, defense played an outstanding game today or an outstanding game this last week, and those guys are rolling right now. And if they can keep doing that, we can fix some of this stuff on offense. We have a really good team, and I think that's the biggest stuff. It's preaching. Let's take some accountability here. And that always, I think, means a little bit more when your teammates are.

[01:08:01]

The ones preaching from the team. Yeah, 100%. I know it sucks to lose. Fuck. We've all been there. Yeah, let's not burn the shifts, boys, all right? We still got the best record in the league, you know what I mean? Things are still looking up, and I'm sure that's probably your final thoughts on the game. That pretty much wraps up the game.

[01:08:17]

I don't think I really have anything else. I mean, listen, we lost the game.

[01:08:20]

I had a feeling you hadn't had.

[01:08:21]

We got it all already, and now we're going to move on to this week.

[01:08:24]

Not right now. LeBron stat of the game, though. Jalen Hurts rushing touchdown was the 31st of his career, tying Josh Allen for the second most by quarterback through his first four seasons in the NFL. Who gives a fuck, dude?

[01:08:37]

We got to stop.

[01:08:38]

We got to get a better LeBron stat than this. If there's no good one that we can't just pull one out of our ass. The only person ahead of those two is Cam Newton with 33. And I only say that because shout out to Cam Newton, one of my favorite football players of all time.

[01:08:53]

There you go.

[01:08:54]

All right, breaking news. As we're recording per Adam Scheffner, seven time Pro Bowler wide receiver Julio Jones is signing a one year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Holy shit.

[01:09:11]

It's pretty crazy.

[01:09:12]

Yeah. That's a wild pickup, man. But fuck, that's a hell of I mean, if he comes out and plays like Julio Jones can play, I mean, that's a damn good fucking pickup.

[01:09:20]

Yeah. I mean, I don't really know what to say. I mean, welcome to the team, brother.

[01:09:23]

All right.

[01:09:23]

Now, we will take big, fast, athletic freaks of nature any day of the week. We already had a great receiving core, and this is just going to add to it. Quez has had some injury things going on. And Oz, I mean, he's done really good in certain situations, but he had a huge you know, one of the things I love is when a guy very unselfishly picks up a block late in a play, you know what I mean? Like hustles down to go pick up something for his teammate who just caught the you know, definitely saw that from Oz a couple games. Know, AJ. Brown's obviously been having I mean, I think he's the second in receiving yards this season.

[01:09:56]

Yeah, he's pretty good. Pink shoes over there, man. That guy probably get him the ball.

[01:10:02]

Not doing too shabby, but yeah. Julio's, beyond just being the player he is, he's been on teams that have been really successful, college and the know, this guy, I'm assuming I've never met him, admittedly, but generally when you're around that much greatness, it rubs off on you or you're the one that's doing the rubbing off of. So I have a feeling that this guy that he's just going to be good to have around the building, be a part of the team, and he's going to bring value to our organization. So welcome to the team, brother. All righty, it's time to shout out one of our next sponsors. It's the Experience Smart Money trademark debit card and the digital checking account, which trav I have to say, the commercial you did for this is some of your best work.

[01:10:48]

Ah, why thank you.

[01:10:50]

It's on point.

[01:10:51]

I appreciate that, man. Might not be the only one you see from Experian. Yeah, okay. Might have another one. But this was a lot of fun shooting this thing, man. How did you feel about my real acting performance? Could you tell that I was pretty pumped up to see my guy with no debt?

[01:11:07]

Yeah, I mean, listen, if there's few things that I know that fire up Travis, it's somebody with no debt and a high credit score.

[01:11:13]

I know what a low credit score and a lot of debt feels like to get out of that hole, man. It's like having shackles on it. Just breaking them off.

[01:11:23]

Yeah, that's difficult.

[01:11:25]

Check out my commercial on the Experian YouTube channel if you haven't seen it. And yet, more importantly, 92 percenters. Check out the all new Experian Smart Money debit card and digital checking account. It could help you build credit without the debt.

[01:11:39]

That's right. Not going to lie, I wish I had this back in the day. I think we both do.

[01:11:42]

Kind of already talked about this. My credit score would have been a lot better if we would have did this.

[01:11:47]

No question. I paid for everything with the debit card and didn't build any credit for years because I didn't really have a credit card, and I couldn't apply for one because I didn't have a job. But I was paying for stuff, which means I should have been having a better credit score. Anyway, this really sets this apart. It really does. The digital checking account is automatically connected to Experian Boost, which helps build your credit. It just makes sense.

[01:12:11]

Just use your Experian Smart Money account for eligible monthly bill payments, like utilities, like your cell phone bill.

[01:12:19]

What else?

[01:12:20]

Streaming bill. Yeah, everything. Water bill streaming to raise your credit scores.

[01:12:26]

Man yeah, you can do it all. All you 92 percenters out there should make sure to get your hands on an experience. Smart Money debit card and digital checking account@experian.com.

[01:12:51]

We had to say that legally.

[01:12:54]

All righty, if there's one thing you know about this show, it's that on occasion, there is a giant dog behind me. And you've probably been wondering just what the hell it is I feed that thing. And the answer is the farmer's dog.

[01:13:08]

The farmer's dog makes and delivers fresh, healthy dog food. And it's developed by Vets nutritionally balanced, and made from real healthy ingredients to human food safety standards.

[01:14:08]

Jason, did you get out of the house?

[01:14:10]

Well, I think we both did, but let's get to your out of the house first. T rav on SNL. How about that?

[01:14:16]

It's your boy to boy trav.

[01:14:18]

Not only did you show up to the Eagles game in New York, on Sunday. But you also made it to Saturday Night Live.

[01:14:26]

Got out the house, man.

[01:14:27]

You've obviously hosted Saturday Night Live, but you made a guest. Is this your first guest appearance on Saturday Night Live?

[01:14:33]

Yeah.

[01:14:34]

Wow.

[01:14:34]

Yeah.

[01:14:35]

I feel like that's when you've really if you're welcomed on to just be like a guest, that's pretty spectacular if.

[01:14:42]

You'Re going to say that. Yeah, for sure. It was every bit of spectacular.

[01:14:46]

Is it rarer to be a guest or rarer to host? Because there's some episodes that there's no guests. It's just the host, right?

[01:14:54]

Yeah.

[01:14:55]

So I think it's rarer to be a guest. I think that's like another upper echelon.

[01:14:59]

Of sarah, are you trying to pat yourself on the fucking back for being a guest?

[01:15:02]

I wasn't a guest. I was a family of the guy hosting. I wasn't a guest.

[01:15:06]

You were a guest.

[01:15:07]

I don't think that's a guest. A guest is know you're trying to.

[01:15:10]

Say me and Pete Davidson are family?

[01:15:12]

I'm trying to say a guest is like, this guy's so famous and he happens to be in town that we're going to find a way to get him on the show. That's what I'm talking about.

[01:15:21]

Yeah.

[01:15:22]

That was not what happened to me.

[01:15:26]

All right.

[01:15:27]

SNL had a great sketch about the Swift Mania and the NFL and who should show up at the very end but the big yeti himself. All two lines up. What did you see?

[01:15:40]

I don't even remember what I said. I blacked out. As soon as they queued to me, the entire place erupted, which was very overwhelming. And I'm not even sure if I said anything. I actually walked off. Did I say anything? At was like, yeah, no, you killed looked at. I watched it over and I still don't really know if I said what I was supposed to. We showed up at SNL having the idea of going supporting Ice Spice, her and Taylor, good friends. I've always wanted to meet Pete Davidson. Been a fan of his for quite a while since he was actually on the show on SNL. I mean. And I'll tell you what, man, it was electric to be back in that place. There's crazy how much being in that room and just it being their first episode this season. I had such a freaking blast, man. It was a star studded back room. I'm not the one to throw around names, so I won't. But it was awesome, man. It was awesome. And Lord Michael, thank you for having us. It was a pleasure. I didn't know what the skit was like, what skits were coming up.

[01:16:53]

And I'm pretty sure that it was just ironic that they were doing a skit on what'd you call it? The was. Uh, but I thought it was hilarious. And when they asked me to be a part of it, I was like, man, I'd be yeah, it was pretty cool. And then taylor also made the surprise cameo, introducing her good friend Ice Spice nice. Who absolutely killed it as well.

[01:17:16]

Ice, you guys got out of the house after that, even later, by going to the Saturday live after party, which, for those of you don't know, it goes all night.

[01:17:25]

It was fun catching up with everybody over in SNL. Man, I miss those guys. And guys and girls, I should say. And hopefully I win it or Jason wins it and we find ourselves back.

[01:17:36]

Well, after you got out of the house on Saturday, you went to the game Sunday, and then you found your way to lovely South Philadelphia for the Phillies game.

[01:17:48]

Yes, I did.

[01:17:48]

Where we got to enjoy a beautiful evening of Philadelphia Phillies baseball.

[01:17:54]

Oh, yeah. Got to meet you and Kai down at Citizens bank. Ballpark. Hey, yo. And I'll tell you what, that place was fucking electric, dude.

[01:18:05]

Red October, baby.

[01:18:06]

First pitch, ohioan himself. Schwarber.

[01:18:12]

Oh, yeah.

[01:18:13]

Out of the fucking middle. He hits the fucking piss out of.

[01:18:18]

The ball, he does, bringing the power right off the gate. And then right after him, only a couple better.

[01:18:24]

That boy nice.

[01:18:25]

Was it the next batter?

[01:18:26]

The storm and Mormon. Two batters after that.

[01:18:29]

Trey Turner was two, right? Was I drinking that many beers already?

[01:18:33]

He's 100% in third prices, right?

[01:18:37]

Yeah, that's what I thought. The cool thing about the Schwarber ball was it hit the jumbotron or whatever.

[01:18:44]

That screen, the mini jumbotron, and it.

[01:18:47]

Just rested there so we could look at it the whole freaking game. I thought that was pretty neat.

[01:18:51]

But just the whole time, you're just thinking, how the could we get that ball?

[01:18:55]

Yes. Can I scale that? Could I somehow scale that and get that baseball?

[01:18:59]

You started taking pictures and videos of it. I'm like, what are you doing? Well, the game was absolutely electric. I forget the gentleman. I forget. What is his name? I think it's Byron Scott.

[01:19:11]

You're talking about his come out song? Yeah, I think it's stott.

[01:19:15]

S-T-O-T-T-I should have fucking did my research before I came on the show.

[01:19:20]

But yeah, most electric come out song in the stadium, the whole crowd starts singing. It bryson Stott.

[01:19:27]

One of the most electric parts of the evening after those two home runs. Bryson Stott. Is that his name? Bryson Stott. S-T-O-T-T interesting.

[01:19:36]

Yeah.

[01:19:37]

Either way, he's got the A OK song.

[01:19:40]

It's an electric come out song.

[01:19:42]

And the entire stadium just saw two first inning home runs by two of the biggest names on their team. So everybody's standing up and screaming their lungs out singing this song. And I just happened to get it on video not knowing that that's what was coming. Yeah, I'll put that thing as one of my favorite videos to watch. I love atmospheres like that when I'm walking up to your games or whenever I'll walk straight through the front door and go through the ticket, scan my ticket and make sure that I just love walking up to stadiums knowing I'm going to a game. It's one of the only things that make me feel like a kid again. Like I'm going to this exciting ballpark or this I'm about to go and watch some of the greatest athletes of all time go at it. And there's something about going to the ballpark that I'll never lose, man. And I absolutely loved it, man.

[01:20:38]

Baseball, I know it hasn't, I guess, done as well in modern TV deals or whatever, like the audience viewing it on TV. But I still think there are a few things better than going to the ballpark and watching a game live. It's something about being at a baseball playoff in playoffs. Playoffs.

[01:20:59]

Tell you what, man.

[01:21:00]

Yeah. Red October in Philly is a different atmosphere, man.

[01:21:04]

That was awesome.

[01:21:05]

The fans are into it. This team has great energy right now. I'm going to admit I wanted to go to the game. We talked about it before. You coming down about going to the Phillies game after losing to the jets.

[01:21:17]

You did not like, man, do I.

[01:21:18]

Really want to be seen at this place and I want to make sure that we're focused. But I was like, you know what, screw it, man. I don't know how many more games I'm going to get to go do like this.

[01:21:28]

And they went so happy.

[01:21:30]

We wigged. It's just so electric.

[01:21:34]

Just get out of the house, man. You need that gang and that gang. You need that balance, man.

[01:21:38]

I don't want to get out of the house that much, but I'll get out of the house for this.

[01:21:41]

Get out of the house with old Travis, man. Come on.

[01:21:44]

Let's do this, man.

[01:21:45]

Thankfully, Kai was there and was kind of like, yeah, that'd be pretty sweet if we went. I could tell that she was like the final, like, well, maybe if Kai wants to go, I'll go.

[01:21:53]

Exactly. Yeah.

[01:21:54]

She text her like, Kai, let's go to the game.

[01:21:57]

Can you get Jason out of the house? I really want to go to the.

[01:21:59]

Game with these guys. Gotta love getting flicked off by some of the Philly fans.

[01:22:03]

You got flicked?

[01:22:04]

Yeah, it was it was like a love no, I love you. It was with a smile. It was like, yeah. And I was like, nice, man. I deserve that. I deserve every bit of that. They did show you on the Jumbotron.

[01:22:22]

Yeah.

[01:22:22]

And the place erupted. You know what like it's you could tell that the might might be disappointed in it, but they know they got one of the best football teams in the league.

[01:22:34]

They just erupt because they want me to chug my beer. They don't care about me. They're just like, I'm going to force this guy to chug his beer. It's like, well, now I. Can't what do I do with this thing? I can't just not chug my beer.

[01:22:45]

Give me this Koozie. Chug this thing. Yeah. What they don't want to see is us.

[01:22:51]

What do you mean?

[01:22:53]

Chugging off? Like having a chug off. That's what they don't want to see.

[01:22:56]

Why do they not want to see that, Travis?

[01:22:58]

Because they know I win.

[01:23:00]

Travis, stop.

[01:23:01]

What do you mean? We already know been this has been settled the past, like, three chugs that.

[01:23:08]

We'Ve not first of all, I can't remember the last time we have chugged off.

[01:23:12]

You can't remember the new heights. You didn't finish your beer.

[01:23:15]

There was beer flying out of your beer, and we weren't even racing. We were just doing a shotgun.

[01:23:20]

No, but we were racing.

[01:23:22]

It wasn't a race. It was just like a we're going to shotgun these beers together.

[01:23:25]

Sky acts like he has no competitive nature. He knows it was a fucking race.

[01:23:29]

First of all, you can go back to that tape. There's beer flying out of your can. You just threw your can and it.

[01:23:37]

Was all, like you were done. It was all foam. All foam.

[01:23:40]

I heard liquids hitting the black wooden floor of you heard it? Yeah, I did.

[01:23:45]

You heard it?

[01:23:46]

I heard it.

[01:23:47]

And this guy said it wasn't a race.

[01:23:49]

It wasn't a race.

[01:23:50]

You're so funny.

[01:23:51]

It wasn't a race. But I whether it's a race or not, you always drink all the beer in the can.

[01:23:57]

So when I heard fast as you.

[01:23:58]

Can I don't care if it's fast or not. If it's not a race, but whether you're racing as fast as you can or just drinking it, you don't leave liquid combing out of the can. And I heard liquid coming out of the can. We're pretty close. Whether regardless, I tend to try and.

[01:24:11]

Forget my losses too, man. But, yeah, no, it's always a good race.

[01:24:16]

Well, we can do one more.

[01:24:17]

I'll race you right now, bro.

[01:24:19]

More set up in a legitimate whenever you want. We can figure that out.

[01:24:24]

Yeah, legitimate. Where are we going to fucking stand at both sides of the table like we're about to arm wrestle?

[01:24:30]

Yeah. Do you want to chug a leader?

[01:24:31]

Me? You broke leader. Listen, you didn't want to chug the leader. I was like, oh, yeah, chug the leader, dude. I'll go dos boot against you. I don't mind.

[01:24:40]

All right, we'll do the leader chug.

[01:24:42]

Gosh. I don't want to fucking beat you right now. No, it was fun, man. It was a good time, and I'm glad we got to experience that, man.

[01:24:49]

I'm with you.

[01:24:50]

Joe Tory slid in there, man.

[01:24:52]

Joe Tory.

[01:24:53]

Man do a lot of coaches.

[01:24:54]

Joe Tory jay Wright don Staley. A lot of coaching up there.

[01:25:02]

School week, six roundup. Let's get to some player insights of the NFL storylines. All right, back to football. Let's give some quick thoughts about the biggest headlines of week six, the Browns took down the undefeated 49 ers.

[01:25:14]

Oh, can't forget Tim McGraw. Forgot to mention we met. Tim McGraw.

[01:25:18]

Tim McGraw. How could we forget Tim McGraw?

[01:25:21]

Dude, he looked good too. I don't know what he's doing.

[01:25:23]

I don't know. Yeah, you know what I mean?

[01:25:25]

Whatever lifting and tannin bed he's using is freaking working, man.

[01:25:29]

He was AG one.

[01:25:30]

Whoa.

[01:25:31]

Probably drinking AG one.

[01:25:32]

I bet my left nut he's taking AG One. Not my right, but my left.

[01:25:36]

Not the right. That's the home run hitter. The Browns were led by backup quarterback PJ. Walker and overcame a ten point deficit to win the game on a 29 yard field goal. Yeah, shout out to PJ. Walker, man. Heck, he was just down in Carolina not having the best year, and now he's winning the football games for the Brownies. Let's go, Brodies.

[01:25:56]

Dude. The browns.

[01:25:57]

That defense is fucking good.

[01:26:00]

Talk about a good D line.

[01:26:01]

Jim Short a good defense, man, and that's not taking anything away from what their offense is. They're obviously a good team if they're beating the 49 ers. Jake Moody missed a 40 1 YD field goal with 9 seconds left as the 49 ers kicker, and that would have sealed the deal for him. I believe it's just a bit outside. The Browns allowed 1000 yards this season. The fewest yards allowed 52 years in Cleveland and the third fewest yards allowed by a team in its first five games of this is a fucking LeBron stat. Holy shit.

[01:26:35]

We got to get out of here.

[01:26:36]

With stats and LeBron. I'm sorry if it feels like we're, like, attacking you with these. You didn't start LeBron stats, TNT, and like the NBA did. We just needed something to clarify that topic, and that is a fucking bogus ass stat. Brown's defense finished this game with three sacks and one interception. Kyle Shanahan has faced Jim Schwartz nine times. Shanahan used to be a Brownie himself, man. Shanahan's won in eight of those matchups, though, and his offense has scored over 20 points just once. So why do you think Jim Schwartz has been so dominant?

[01:27:10]

Well, one, he's a great defensive coordinator and he's been good wherever he's been. Yeah, Jim's defensive philosophy, the way he has those guys play defense, it's all predicated on the defensive line. They play aggressive. It's all about getting across the ball, penetrating, getting to the quarterback. And he's got the horses up front in Cleveland. I mean, they're good across the board. I'm not trying to take away from the secondary or the linebackers, but in my opinion, when I think of Jim Schwartz defenses, I think about defensive linemen, I think about aggression, explosion off the and you're seeing more and more teams do it and try and replicate it, always talking about knockback or getting to the quarterback. It's worked wherever he's and it certainly started off well in Cleveland, and that helps when you have guys like Miles Garrett and you got Zidarius Smith. Although, Zadarius, he's not hurt now, is he?

[01:28:07]

No, he was out there in full effect. He was in full effect last game.

[01:28:11]

And oh, my gosh, I played against this guy all the time in New York. Was just in Minnesota. He's a good player. Really good player. Defensive tackle.

[01:28:21]

Fuck.

[01:28:22]

From Alabama.

[01:28:24]

No, they don't have good players in Alabama.

[01:28:27]

Dalvin Thomas, anyways. Yeah, when you got guys like that, they're going to be really good on defense. I think that that's a big reason why Jim's had so much success on top of him. Just being one of the best defensive coordinators over the past few decades in the NFL in general.

[01:28:42]

Sounds like them boys are coachable.

[01:28:44]

Heard that.

[01:28:45]

Let's keep this thing moving. To the Dolphins beating the Panthers 42 21. The highlight of the game, Tyreek Hill's, 40 1 YD. Touchdown in the second quarter. Cheetah took the phone from a guy on the sideline, holds it while he does a backflip. The angle of this selfie video was pretty sick. Check this out.

[01:29:05]

So do you practice this? Do you just whip it out?

[01:29:11]

Yeah. I don't know, man.

[01:29:14]

Touchdown.

[01:29:15]

Hey, what's up? Oh, give me that.

[01:29:17]

He goes right to the Is. This is pre set up.

[01:29:20]

That's wild, right?

[01:29:21]

Yeah.

[01:29:22]

I mean, that's pretty good. That's some good stuff right there.

[01:29:25]

I mean, I'd love that to be on my phone.

[01:29:27]

Right? It's a historical video, right?

[01:29:31]

Sell an NFT on that. Make some change.

[01:29:35]

That boy trying to make some money. That boy. Tyreek trying to make some money. The guy is absolutely killing it this year. Tyreek looks like the best wide receiver in the NFL, like I've said, for a very long time.

[01:29:47]

Stat wise. He is, right?

[01:29:49]

Yeah. How far in advance do you think he planned that thing out? I don't know, but it was instincts. I think those are instincts because he was running past it and then he saw the camera on him. He just looked at him like yeah.

[01:30:01]

The moment he got into the end zone, he went straight for that specific person.

[01:30:05]

No, I don't think so. Only one way to figure this out.

[01:30:08]

We got to have him on the show.

[01:30:10]

Got to have him on the show. Tyree, come on, dog. Come on, man. Come bless the show, big guy.

[01:30:14]

The only thing I'm taking away from this is that the NFL should definitely allow props for touchdown celebrations. Right. I just feel like we should be embracing.

[01:30:22]

It's going to get too wild.

[01:30:24]

It's going to get like baseball.

[01:30:26]

Yes.

[01:30:26]

You remember the psych outs?

[01:30:29]

No. The beginning of the movie. Baseball.

[01:30:32]

Yes. When they're all doing like, the river.

[01:30:34]

Dancing or whatever, it's already everybody's dancing together. Yeah. But you start bringing in props, it's going to get so fucking out of control. We can't do that.

[01:30:44]

That's fair. Can't have too much fun.

[01:30:46]

Not so many games to really talk about that's.

[01:30:48]

The only thing that happened across the.

[01:30:50]

League last week was a weird ass game, man. The only thing that really happened was that the two undefeated teams didn't remain undefeated.

[01:30:57]

Yeah, thanks for bringing that up again.

[01:30:59]

All the other games were kind of just like meh.

[01:31:02]

Well, twelve of the 15 games were within one score, which in the fourth quarter, with ten games being decided by one score.

[01:31:12]

What the fuck, dude? I can't read either.

[01:31:15]

In week, 612 of the 15 games were within one score in the fourth quarter, with ten games having been decided by one score. Who's writing these stats down?

[01:31:25]

Trav, the cutest guy we know.

[01:31:27]

I think it's Emma, actually. Brandon, is it? Yeah. Let's just keep Brandon. Let's blame Brandon.

[01:31:32]

No, I'm blaming Brandon. Emma's done nothing wrong and we'll never do anything.

[01:31:35]

We'll never do anything wrong.

[01:31:37]

Fair enough. Don't ever fucking don't you even try it.

[01:31:40]

Offenses are currently scoring touchdowns on 53.3% of their red zone opportunities, the lowest rate through six weeks since 2011. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago. It feels like a lot of times the NFL goes in waves where offenses are kind of doing some new, innovative things that defenses are trying to catch up with and vice versa. And it feels like right now in the league, it feels like the defenses have been having the better half of the beginning of the season, which is standard, like, typically early in the season, defenses perform better offenses. Well, I think it's kind of like either the offenses are blowing people out.

[01:32:23]

Yeah, we might need to get the stat.

[01:32:24]

That's a good point. I think a stat would be interesting to see if that backs it up. This is what I think. Early in the season, you see more extremes where it's like teams getting blown out or teams like putting up no points. But I just think in general, it's easier for a defense to gel quickly than it is for an offense to gel quickly. I think timing with routes and receivers and quarterbacks and there's more going on offensively.

[01:32:50]

I don't know, man.

[01:32:51]

You don't think that's true?

[01:32:53]

I think of it scheme wise, and I'm like, there's new formations, there's new pieces. You got to figure out how the defense is going to pass these things off in zone, how they're going to match up in man, I just feel like there's a lot more question to what an offense can run. And I think typically it's like the first month and a half or half of the season, the offenses are just like doing stuff that the defense isn't quite ready for. And then towards the end of the year, you know what an offense's makeup is, you know how guys are going to get the ball. You know what this certain receiver, this certain running backs, what their role is in the grand scheme of things, yeah.

[01:33:32]

I guess I'm more thinking about, like, right away in training camp. Usually the defense is kicking the offense's ass for the first couple of weeks.

[01:33:39]

You know why I don't do training camp?

[01:33:40]

Why?

[01:33:41]

Because our scripted plays are on the same iPad.

[01:33:48]

It is so annoying when you got.

[01:33:49]

The middle linebacker calling out exactly what you're about to do, and it's what.

[01:33:54]

The fuck made you think say that?

[01:33:56]

How did you know that we were running?

[01:33:58]

And even we're in team pass.

[01:34:02]

Yeah. We do a three man route or we'll have, like, a certain downfield route, and it'll be drop eight, and you're just like, why is every time coincidental? Or every time we got a screen, they're blitzing the opposite side of the screen. Why is that so it's such a unique call every time we call a screen. I know what you're up to, Spags. I know what you're over there doing. And on top of that, I just looked at this stat that you just read, and this is the lowest the offense has performed since 2011. So that's over, like, ten years ago.

[01:34:37]

I just think it goes in ways like this. Whenever defenses are kind of doing stuff, that often it's the same thing.

[01:34:43]

Well, when you're in Neanderthal and you've played over ten years, yeah, it does.

[01:34:47]

Well, it's the same thing you were just talking about. Sometimes the offense is the ones doing new things the defenses are trying to catch up with, and sometimes the defense is doing new things that the offense is trying to catch up with. Offenses haven't figured it out yet because the defense seems to be on fire in the NFL so far, especially in the red zone defense.

[01:35:04]

Let's fucking go, man. Let's go, man. Let's get moms like Donna Kelsey happy about offense again. Let's fucking go. Come on, man. We got to fucking got to make mom proud out here, man.

[01:35:16]

All righty, that's it. That wraps up week six. Trav, take it over.

[01:35:22]

All right, now let's hand out some stamps of the Week to guys who took their game to new Heights in week six of the NFL season. And that doesn't mean we're just going to talk football here. We can talk anything because it's our show, and people are taking their game to new heights everywhere in this world.

[01:35:38]

Hey.

[01:35:39]

Oh. New Heights Stamp of the Week is sponsored by State Farm. Talk to a State Farm agent today to learn how you can bundle and save with the personal price plan. That's right. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Man, I used to fucking be able to hit the high notes way better, man.

[01:35:56]

Dude, that's what happens when you yell all the time.

[01:35:58]

Yeah, I had a very cool text this morning. One of Cleveland Heights'own and University of Wisconsin hockey forward Layla Edwards. Hey, shout out to Layla Edwards. She's set to become the first black woman to play for Team USA senior hockey team that's right. For the US. Women's National Team will face Canada in the opening two contests of the 2023 24 rivalry series in November. And Leila is going to be the first black woman to do it.

[01:36:30]

Hey. And Cleveland Heights native, maybe? Has there ever been a Cleveland Heights native on that team?

[01:36:35]

I think she might have.

[01:36:36]

She might be the first categories.

[01:36:40]

I know she has a little sister at the University of Wisconsin, so she might have, you know, those siblings out of the Heights, you know what I'm saying, tend to do good things.

[01:36:51]

Did she go to Cleveland Heights or is she just from Cleveland Heights?

[01:36:54]

I think she's just from Cleveland Heights. I think as most hockey superstars in the Cleveland area, you go to prep school and you do that route.

[01:37:04]

You're probably right either way.

[01:37:06]

But I hope she at least went through the Cleveland Heights School District at some point or really just being from the city.

[01:37:15]

Yeah.

[01:37:15]

You got my love and support. Go out there and hold it down for USA, baby. Jason, who you got?

[01:37:22]

I'm going to keep it in the offensive line category. I'm going to go with Giants left guard Justin Pew. Players have been doing intros for games for a long time, and it used to be pretty standard. Your name and the college you went to 100%. Then guys started getting creative and they're like they started saying their elementary school or their high school or their preschool. And I thought Justin Pew had maybe the most honest take when he was recently signed a few weeks ago in his player intro this week when he's playing is Justin Pew. Straight off the couch.

[01:37:56]

Straight off the couch. All right, now.

[01:37:59]

Thought that was pretty awesome, pretty clever, pretty funny.

[01:38:02]

I feel like almost mostly all offensive linemen have a good sense of humor.

[01:38:05]

That's pretty true.

[01:38:06]

Shout out to JP Man fellow podcaster. Yeah, everybody go check out Net Worth with Justin Pew fellow 2013 draft class. Remember meeting him up there and having some fun up the combine. It's awesome to see him getting off the couch and playing some football, baby.

[01:38:26]

Yeah, baby.

[01:38:26]

Go check out his podcast and check out the Giants, baby. Congrats on taking your game to New Heights.

[01:38:32]
