I don't know if I should tell this story. I missed his call. And you guys had just won the Super Bowl. Yeah, yeah, and he left me a voicemail, and I wish I fucking saved the voicemail. I shit you not. He ended it with. Yeah, just give me a ring. It's crashed out. Okay, that's Coach Stout, super Bowl 52 champions.

[00:00:15]

Swear to God.

[00:00:20]

[00:00:57]

That's right. We got the one and only former rugby league sensation from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, whatever that is. He's a six foot eight, £365 offensive tackle hailing from New South Wales, Australia. He's a six year veteran tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles and the real star of the Philly Special Christmas album, making his new Heights debut. Please welcome Mr. Jordan, my ally, to woo me. Welcome to new Heights.

[00:01:43]

Welcome to new heights, man, where we don't really know how to take things serious. Jason, why don't you teach him a little? Does he know new, new news? Does he know new news?

[00:01:51]

Have you listened to the pod at all?

[00:01:53]

You know.

[00:01:54]

Okay. All right.

[00:01:55]

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't practicing in the car.

[00:01:57]

Wow, dude.

[00:01:58]

This guy's a fucking.

[00:01:59]

I mean, he's a vocal. He's a he's a vocal phenom. So he's he's he's on top of it. That just gives you a little bit more pressure to nail this. All right, here we go. Before we get going, we got to start with little new new new news.

[00:02:14]

New news.

[00:02:16]

So jazz, that was one that.

[00:02:17]

He's fucking just owned us, right.

[00:02:19]

Talented talented guys. Just a little started. Well as you know Jordy, our new Christmas album is coming out December 1st. I actually think it's coming out. Well, I guess it's officially being sold Black Friday, but I think it launches electronically December 1st.

[00:02:39]

Is it fair to say, Jordan, that you carried the entire Christmas album?

[00:02:42]

I'm not in the room. I'm not in the room.

[00:02:45]

Yeah.

[00:02:45]

I'll take my headphones off and be modest here.

[00:02:47]

You can go ahead and do you absolutely kill it?

[00:02:51]

Man, I wouldn't say I carried it, man. We all have our our part to play in the album, man, but very humble for sure. I definitely sang on a lot of the songs, but again, we all had a, we had a part to play in this album, man. It wasn't just me, I just, I feature on a lot of the songs.

[00:03:07]

It is a good it is a good mesh of Jason singing, Lane singing, and then you sing it because it's like you get that like fun, like you're here, Jason's here in Lane's right here, you know what I mean? Like, you get that good like, stair step of like people actually being able to sing and it adds a lot of character is what I'm saying. And it's really unique and really cool. And the fact that you guys are all on the offensive line together, man, hats off to you guys. It's a it's a cool deal and it's fun to be a part of now that Jason has brought me in. For me, being a birds fan for the past 13 years, he brought me in knowing that I play for the enemy at times. But yeah.

[00:03:50]

You're the enemy, but you're still a part of the family. I still.

[00:03:54]

Go extended.

[00:03:56]

Have you spoke about your part?

[00:03:57]

Yeah, we spoke about it. We spoke about it a little bit last year.

[00:03:59]

We didn't say what song he was, but terrified of.

[00:04:03]

I don't even know what song it was. We kind of made it our own.

[00:04:05]

So Fairytale of New York, we kind of changed the lyrics around to be Fairytale of Philadelphia. That's the song that you and I are on. Did you listen to that one? Yeah. You like that one, I loved it, yeah, I loved it.

[00:04:18]

Dude. I didn't know you could sing. I'll be honest.

[00:04:21]

I know Jason's pretty.

[00:04:22]

You know, he's a musical genius. We know who he's talking to. Travis better at me and everything, including singing. And we're going to find that out, okay?

[00:04:31]

Yes. Year zero music. We'll see, we'll see.

[00:04:34]

I do like your voice better, though. I say that he's.

[00:04:37]

A good friend. He's a good friend.

[00:04:38]

Raspy voice. Yeah. So I'm saying it.

[00:04:40]

Sounds like voice.

[00:04:41]

He sounds like Nickelback, right? Oh my day.

[00:04:46]

Sure. Oh, my God, that's terrible.

[00:04:51]

You're not. The blond.

[00:04:53]

Man. Is Nickelback big in Australia?

[00:04:55]

It was when I was growing up. Um, so I'll be honest, I didn't listen to much Nickelback growing up. Maybe. Like. Now a couple of these songs. Yeah. But when I got here, when I got here in 2018, I didn't understand why they were hated so much.

[00:05:10]

I thought.

[00:05:11]

I thought Nickelback was great. It's pretty good. Dude, this is awesome.

[00:05:14]

Guys like Jason love Nickelback.

[00:05:16]

I come here, I try to make friends and I'm like, hey, so yeah, I listen to Nickelback. Like, this guy's a loser. This guy's a loser. What's he doing?

[00:05:24]

What's he doing?

[00:05:25]

That's pretty. I was like, they told me that they hate Nickelback. And I was like, no, okay, we take that.

[00:05:30]

No.

[00:05:31]

I never said that line again. It's make friends.

[00:05:33]

Well.

[00:05:34]

You guys got a bunch of Philly legends on this thing outside. Now that we're talking about some musical geniuses on the second album, you sing a duet with Philly legend Patti LaBelle that had to be fucking. I can't wait to hear this one. I was that. I can't wait.

[00:05:49]

To hear that one too. Yeah.

[00:05:51]

I mean.

[00:05:52]

I did it. At first I thought it wasn't going to happen, that we were going to feature Patti LaBelle. And you know, when she came in to record the piece, I was like, oh, we actually both in all this footage of when she she came into the facility to put a part. Yeah. And both in all and then I didn't need to do any singing because I had already recorded my part. So we just needed her to record her parts until I think it was CBS collarbone made the suggestion. Would you like Jordan to sing with you? In my head I was like, man, how dare you, man! I didn't think I can do it because I was like, I kind of, yeah, kind of like starstruck. You going?

[00:06:30]

Yeah, well, there's a there's a portion of the song that Patty's on This Christmas that there's like a back and forth between Jordan and her. And it feels weird, I think, trying to do that with a recording and not just do it live. So Jordan actually got to sing live with Patty in the Eagles facility. It was insane. And the first time through, he literally did not say a single word because he was so nervous.

[00:06:57]

Listen, man, if you know me, I don't get nervous much, but. Right. Oh, I mean, that was nerve wracking, man. That was nerve wracking. Like singing in front of a great like that, man.

[00:07:08]

There's no way. What was harder that or the viral clip of you singing at your wedding. Which one were you more nervous for?

[00:07:17]

All right I mean, definitely, definitely Patti LaBelle, I reckon.

[00:07:23]

Well, it was a different types of nerves maybe. Yeah, like one of them. You like singing to your future wife or your current wife. Then you guys had already been married at that point. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. That's true.

[00:07:34]

Yeah, definitely no nerves. I knew I was going to crush it. I'm not gonna lie to you.

[00:07:40]

I knew it was gonna crush you.

[00:07:41]

Everybody in the crowd is my friends and family. They're gonna love.

[00:07:44]

It.

[00:07:44]

And like everyone, they're like, oh, love, they're not going to judge me. You screw it up, they're not going to judge me. So I'm like, this is great. And I practiced for about two weeks.

[00:07:52]

Yeah, well, I heard you practicing in the locker room right before you went. Yeah, that was cool.

[00:07:56]

Well, we know that you won America over right there with that, if you hadn't already. What was the highlight of recording the sequel, though? Like the full scheme of things. What do you think?

[00:08:06]

Um, I mean, I'm not going to give a press answer. I think, you know, I think the for the majority of my experience for the sequel is probably just seeing, I think, like, we got to see the creation of the songs more this year than we did last year. I thought that was really special. Nice. And I'm going to take that with me forever, man, because that was that was really special, seeing the music being made. Yeah. Seeing your song, I mean, I can't put the second half of it, but that was amazing. And so yeah, that's what I'm going to take away.

[00:08:40]

I agree, I'm right there with you. I think you know me. You and Lane get put on the face of the album, but obviously there's so many other musicians, not just the star studded people that help help us out with it, but, you know, between, you know, be Charlie, Eliza, Zach, Nick, like everyone, Luke like all the musicians on it. It's really fun watching that go from nothing to something and all of them to put their flavor on it. I'm with you, man.

[00:09:11]

That was a creative process. Was was awesome, bro. Yeah, that was something. And like being a big music. Yeah. Like we're not big muses, but like, we love music, you know? Well, first.

[00:09:20]

Of all, don't lump me in the same category as you. You got a guitar.

[00:09:24]

We already talked about the tears, Jordan. He is way here. He is fucking like Nickelback. And then Jason, I mean, Jordy.

[00:09:32]

Has a guitar in the locker room that he is playing and practicing throughout the day. And not only does he have a guitar now, he has it. Now he has a banjo. He recently just bought a banjo. He's been teaching himself banjo in the locker room. I am unequivocally nowhere near as musically inclined as Jordan.

[00:09:50]

Jason is actually on record saying that you're only playing in the NFL to boost your music career. Do you have some, like, songs in your back pocket, like an album? Just like kind of on the side that you're ready.

[00:10:00]

To.

[00:10:01]

Release? All done. No.

[00:10:03]

I'm gonna leave that to the creative minds of the audience.

[00:10:06]

Let me at least ask. I'll ask you this then. What? What other singers would you would you like to do a duet with? Like who's on the top of like, your, like, music singing list?

[00:10:18]

I mean, I'll be honest, I just saw John Legend and yeah.

[00:10:21]

You're talking about.

[00:10:22]

Ohio, baby.

[00:10:23]

And and I got the. I was privileged enough to be able to meet him after with my wife and shoot. Dude, that dude live is incredible. And it was the first time I ever seen him performing for Special Man. So probably him. He's up there right now. Yeah. You know this artist. I would love to collab with him. Not even collab, man. Just like just be around him. Yeah. From him.

[00:10:46]

Just be recording. Yeah.

[00:10:48]

I could not believe the showmanship and and he's a muse a real. Oh yeah.

[00:10:52]

Another level. Yeah. Another level. Yeah.

[00:10:55]

Oh.

[00:10:56]

You.

[00:10:58]

That was impressive. All right. Don't, don't. That's all I got. It's all I got. Um. Nice, man. Well, I we can't wait till the album drops December 1st. And I can't wait to hear what you guys have. Kind of tweaked and turned in the the new Philly Christmas album, man.

[00:11:14]

Yeah. You haven't listen to any of the other songs.

[00:11:16]

I have you know, I haven't, I haven't even, I haven't even really listened to my part. Like, I kind of like you just skip over here, dude, I do not want to hear myself saying like that. No, I'm more of like a rock. And like, I got the rock voice, you know what I mean? Like a rock and roll voice. Yeah. They have, like, the.

[00:11:32]

Yeah.

[00:11:33]

Huh. Well, let's keep this thing moving before we get to our very formal, very serious interview with you, I let's first answer some not dumb questions because there's no such thing as dumb questions, just dumb people. Hey, you know, dumb questions is brought to you by our friends at Accelerator Active Energy drink. God damn this. This peach Paradise is fucking getting me fucking excited right now. You know what I'm saying, brother? Ooh, he's got a little cherry limeade over limeade. We got to get Jordan on on the train, man. You're talking about some Hilo gummies. We got to get you on the accelerator train, man.

[00:12:05]

We can turn this into an Asmr podcast real quick if you want. I mean, Smokey Goat. We can do it right now. I mean, I'm down.

[00:12:14]

No Dumb Questions is brought to you by our friends at Accelerator Active Energy Drink. Accelerator Energy Drink is available on Amazon. For all of you that are wondering, you can get this thing sent straight to your front door and just be fueled with energy. All right now. So we we answered this not dumb question a couple of weeks ago on the show, but now that we have an actual rugby star, rugby star turned NFL pro, turn it up. We got to take we got to take the expertise to you. And I think it's best we get your answer here. So from at spear 40 on YouTube no dumb question. Do you think rugby players have a chance in the NFL?

[00:12:53]

Clearly no chance.

[00:12:57]

I actually did see that. I actually did see that clip last week.

[00:13:01]

What do you think?

[00:13:02]

Um, I don't think you'll. I don't think you're wrong or. But right. Yeah, I think there are some specimens that can transfer over. Okay. Um, but I think for the most part, I think a lot of people.

[00:13:16]

Specimens think.

[00:13:17]

That rugby players can, can transition over. It's tough sport.

[00:13:20]

Do you think there are NFL players like a transition over to rugby?

[00:13:24]

100%. Really? Yes. NFL players could play rugby.

[00:13:27]

But isn't it? It's a completely different energy system, right? Yes. Like it's more long distance form. It's endurance. Yeah. Yeah it's.

[00:13:33]

Technique. Yeah I think I mean that's that's where I guess people get confused with it is when we tackle because we don't wear pads. When we tackle, it's like, oh, not every hit on every tackle is a huge hit. You've got to conserve your energy. Sure. So this thing like numbers and tackle in a tackle. So you get like three guys in the tackle. They absorb the energy. Yeah. You know the the hit up is what we call it the run okay. But it's again just over 80 minutes. And it's just continuous. You just have to be really fit. Yeah cardiovascular wise you've got to be fit. But the toughness part yeah it's it's tough but it's again you go to conserve your energy. So there's like different parts of rugby where you where you see those highlight those highlight hits. And then those are just like incredible plays made by incredible players.

[00:14:24]

Like you just fucking running through everybody. Did your highlight how heavy were you when you played talking about endurance? Man, I.

[00:14:32]

Was a I was 310. Yeah, I was 310. How crazy is it. How straight ten miles an endurance have. I was 310 and I holy specimen. Pretty low body fat. Yeah. And they still consider me. That was too big at 310 because they would see me and they'd be like, there's no way you're 310. Step on the scale. They're like, oh shit, he's 310. Like 311. It's a big body, a lot of running big.

[00:14:58]

I mean, I still remember when you showed up overweight, the one off season at 380 and you were 20% body fat.

[00:15:06]

Nobody believes that.

[00:15:07]

I witnessed that. And they yelled at you for being overweight. And you were a lower body fat percentage than me. At 290, you're £100 more in less body fat percentage, which is insane. I mean, it's so crazy. God.

[00:15:23]

Big bone, big, big body, big body. Yeah, I can't explain that. So.

[00:15:27]

So I don't want to jump off the rugby stuff just yet, because a lot of other people that were commenting was like, there's a difference between, I guess, rugby league and what's the other.

[00:15:36]

So I played league, I just.

[00:15:38]

What's the other one called.

[00:15:39]

Am I allowed to swear on the podcast? Yeah, please. Great. Because I can't send a.

[00:15:42]

Kid to college.

[00:15:43]

I just can't be fucked. I just got oh, that's wrong. I actually do remember it. Great. Because I'll make a lot of money for them. I just could not be fucked explaining to people the difference between rugby league and rugby union. Yeah, those are the two different types of rugby. Okay. Rugby unions 1515 people. Yeah. And then league was 13. Oh I didn't I play league I just couldn't be arsed like. Explaining to people the two differences, so I just kept it under the same umbrella.

[00:16:09]

That's the umbrella difference. So is it fair to say that rugby league is probably more big plays like higher like running because there's more space for less people? Yes. That leads to kind of maybe some more exciting runs. Is that fair?

[00:16:25]

Yeah, it's I kind of compare it like this league and union is like the CFL and NFL. It's the same game, just different set of rules. Got it. Just different set of rules. And honestly League I think you have to be more on the better side for league because every time they make a tackle you have to like run back. You got to run back ten meters. Oh really? And then, then then go forward. Then they play the ball. Then you have to go. Then you have to create a wall. It's just very cardiovascular enduring, which is why I came here.

[00:16:58]

Every three seconds we get every.

[00:17:01]

Yeah. Exactly.

[00:17:02]

Like sport was like what?

[00:17:03]

So what? Another component of this question was also which what's tougher? Rugby. Which players are tougher rugby players or NFL players or football players.

[00:17:15]

All right I don't know. Okay I'll be honest.

[00:17:19]

I hate it either way.

[00:17:20]

So yeah I know I know I'm not even going to be like politically safe on this. Okay, I will say this when people ask me over the years what's tougher. Yeah, I say that the NFL is tougher really. And then I say this, that's like a little there's a caveat. As a caveat. I say if you play O-line and D-line, it's harder. It's definitely harder than rugby. Not so I don't know. You fucking.

[00:17:46]

It's fucking guy. No, sorry. He does this. He does. This is what he does. Jordan. Keep going. I'm sorry.

[00:17:50]

I'm sorry I didn't. I definitely set you up on that one. Very. I'm sorry.

[00:17:55]

But we get a little piece of the fucking action. We get what I'm saying. You do, you do a little bit.

[00:18:00]

I mean, you guys are like that forgotten stepchild, you know, like the O-line.

[00:18:05]

That's why they got a day named after us. Sorry. I didn't want to cut you off, though. So you're going to say so?

[00:18:12]

I always tell people, like, if you play O-line and D-line, that's it's tougher than rugby because one, the pads don't do shit, bro. First off, when people like you guys were pads, you're a bunch of pussies. What? That's it. The pads. The pads don't do anything. They don't protect shit.

[00:18:29]

They make you feel like you can hit people harder.

[00:18:31]

So. Okay, the bloody the pad that goes on your chest is like this thin. It's like this thing and you're copping you. You're copping of fucking helmet to the sternum. Actually it hurts dude. And then yeah, it's three seconds. Then you got to do it again. Yeah. And it's like real hot. You got to move a £300 man from point A to point B. That's what I learned. That phrase when I first came here. Some guy was like, if you don't play O-line, you got to be ready to move someone else's will from point A to point B. Yeah, it's like, sign me up. Yeah. So I.

[00:19:06]

Mean, I can do that. I could, I.

[00:19:07]

Could do that, I think. But that's what, that's why I say like the, the the protection, the helmets, the pads, they don't help anything. I mean, you said last week it's like getting hit by a car. Yeah, it's definitely what it is. It's the mini car crash every three seconds, every 40s. Yeah. It's terrible. And. You know, I mean, I didn't play at the I'll be honest now, I didn't play at the top level of rugby, I get that. Yeah, but fuck, I mean, dude, it's like compared to, like the rugby league. I played like how I felt after a game compared to how. Which one did.

[00:19:46]

You feel worse after.

[00:19:47]

I feel I feel terrible after NFL game. Wow. After an NFL game. Also also.

[00:19:51]

Older. You know what I mean with a how old are you a little 26. He is perfectly 26.

[00:19:57]

Yes. Jesus.

[00:19:59]

He came over here. What were you, 20.

[00:20:00]

20. Yeah I was 20 when I came.

[00:20:02]

Yeah.

[00:20:03]

26 older. You can tell the whole.

[00:20:05]

World in your. That's very whole world in your hands.

[00:20:08]

I mean, I still remember one of the biggest things that you had to learn was literally in we kind of the NFL frowns on this, but using your head like you have a helmet and like, actually like getting hands and striking some triangle. But yeah.

[00:20:22]

I have a story. I got a story because this motherfucker my rookie year, I didn't know how to again use my help. I didn't know how to get into a double team. And he goes, you got to use your helmet. And so he.

[00:20:34]

Kept hitting it like off to the side.

[00:20:36]

So I kept because that's how we get taught to tackle like you got you got to tuck your head to the side in rugby. So like, you know when I come in for a double team naturally just go like that. Just because I'm used to doing that.

[00:20:48]

Yes. Routine muscle memory.

[00:20:50]

He made me hold the bag and he had Stephon Wisniewski shout out The Wiz shout out to him. And Wisniewski hit a hit a double team on me. And he just he had a fuck me. And he said that's how you hit a double team right?

[00:21:07]

Wrong. You wrong. Yeah, a little bit wrong.

[00:21:09]

Me a little bit. But it fucking worked. After that day, that's all I thought about was get my head in there and and I naturally just fit behind the block easily.

[00:21:18]

Yeah. Nice.

[00:21:19]

We also. He's just not that anymore. So we don't do that anymore.

[00:21:22]

We don't do it anymore.

[00:21:23]

Well, that's how it was.

[00:21:24]

That's how I like.

[00:21:25]

Especially not on the brotherly shove.

[00:21:27]

All right. Before we keep going, we need to shout out our sponsor.

[00:21:30]

That's prize picks.

I'm do some pics real quick and we'll get back to Jordan. Here's what I'm thinking. The game that I'm going to watch the most of this week Eagles. Cowboys. That's my logic. But Price Picks has got a bunch of other options for you. Take a look I'm going to get the guys back in here and get out.

[00:24:32]

All right. Now Jason, let's get to. Let's get to our version of what an interview looks like. Yeah.

[00:24:37]

That means we're going to start way back on how you got here in a little bit of your background. Um, as everyone watching now knows, at least to this point, you started off as a rugby player in Australia, where you grew up, before you ever considered the NFL as a possibility? How were you first discovered? How did NFL find out about Jordan Mailata?

[00:25:00]

Yeah.

[00:25:02]

So when I was 20, I played in the end of 20 for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and I came off the bench, played about maybe 11 games. So I wasn't the starter. And you know, I had to pay my way to fund rugby as well. Okay. Because I wasn't getting paid much in rugby, was getting $200 for a win and $100 for a loss, and I had to play that game. So that was just my contract. Some of the guys had different contracts, so I did odd jobs construction like scaffold building, stage building. I did whatever I could to help pay, pay bills and survive. Okay. After that season, um. I felt like I had a pretty good season, like 11 game stretch. I was like, you know, I got down to 310 and, you know, I felt great. I could move a lot of the football. A lot of the rugby teams didn't agree. So my agency at the time, they knew all these connections, the NFL player pathway program people.

[00:26:06]

Sure. And they reached out to him and sure enough, they invited me to go work out. I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I just knew I was going to LA to work out for a program. Yeah, that might get you into the NFL squad. Yeah. And yeah, that's what I did. Worked out and I made the program.

[00:26:26]

Did everybody like everybody in Australia? Your teammates, your family, did everybody think you were a little crazy trying to like, pursue the NFL?

[00:26:33]

For sure. I mean, I never watched the sport. I would watch the Super Bowls, but half the time I Washington was because of the halftime performances, like legit.

[00:26:41]

Right now. And who's your favorite? Who's your favorite? Who's your favorite? We got to know the favorite halftime performance.

[00:26:46]

Yeah. Who was the.

[00:26:46]

One that you kind of remember.

[00:26:48]

It was I mean my favorite was probably Beyonce and Bruno Mars and Coldplay.

[00:26:52]

Yeah, that's a good one.

[00:26:53]

That was a good one. That was a good one.

[00:26:55]

Well played.

[00:26:56]

My missus doesn't like the fact that Coldplay was there because she's like because she, she felt like on the same level as Bruno Mars and Beyonce kind of was like weird.

[00:27:06]

So you're down. Are you bashing Coldplay? No, I love Coldplay.

[00:27:10]

Nicki. Maybe we should cut this out. Cut this? But I fucking love Coldplay. I was like, I don't know who the fuck are you talking about? That's amazing. This is fucking amazing. These give me like they belong there. I was like, and then I started missing me. I was like, they carried the whole show, flipping through the whole show, this Beyonce character, I was like, dude, come on.

[00:27:32]

So you just talked about this and I'm actually curious to learn more about this because I know it exists, but I don't know all the ins and outs. There is a program that the NFL utilizes for foreign international players called the International Player Pathways. Is that what it's called? Yep. And it's designed to discover talents like yourself that are not Americans and give them an opportunity to play in the league. I think there's actually like a isn't there like a you can have like a player on your roster. That's a roster.

[00:28:05]

Spot. Yeah.

[00:28:05]

But it doesn't.

[00:28:06]

Count like three years doesn't count unless he's.

[00:28:08]

Under 53. It does count for a 53 man. But practice squad guy, you're allowed to essentially an extra practice squad guy if he's a part of this program. Right? Yes.

[00:28:17]

All right. Yes. That's pretty much it IP okay. I actually don't need to do any explanation. You explained it really well. How does I.

[00:28:23]

Guess like how did it like they have these in each country. Like how do you find out about that. How do you submit to like even.

[00:28:31]

Yeah I gotcha.

[00:28:32]

And is it like a combine like you go there and run times. So yeah.

[00:28:37]

So the IP just for short has scouts that they'll send out and coaches that they will go to these different countries a whole point of the is when I was going through it was to bridge the connection from the NFL to the international market. Sure. And by doing that, they can select somebody who is either a standout in another sport or an up and coming, you know, athletic freak. Um, and then through specimens, use them as the model to kind of bridge that connection that the NFL wants.

[00:29:13]

So get a hometown kid in the league. Yeah.

[00:29:17]

Exactly. And I think that's a great initiative for the league. Sure. Yeah. She really genius. Really genius. If you think about it, the rich keep getting richer I guess. Um, but to be honest, like, I think the way that IP is run is, is amazing because they have their coaching staff and scouts that they fly out to these countries to work these kids out for the program that takes place stateside. So used to take when I went there, it took place at IMG Academy. And then then they went to an Arizona gym. Yeah, last year I think it might still be IMG.

[00:29:58]

They're all over the place. Yeah they're.

[00:30:00]

Everywhere. I think they're back at IMG this year. The new year coming.

[00:30:04]

The one in Florida.

[00:30:05]

Yeah the one in Florida. Everybody thinks I went I went there because of this program. So I'll just say that I'm a graduate of IMG High School. At 20 is already you.

[00:30:15]

Yeah. You already 20 years old when this happened.

[00:30:17]

So what was the first thing they had to do like work out like coaches coaching you up.

[00:30:23]

Yeah pretty much yeah pretty much it. They just we did the 40 like a normal combine. Yeah. Work out okay. And I think I, I think for bench press I had like 20 and I was like that's pretty good. They're like enough for your position. I was like what position we're thinking of. You know letting you play left tackle. I said, what's that? I did.

[00:30:46]

Did you think you were running back?

[00:30:48]

I thought I was going to play running back till they said left tackle. I was like, okay, that sounds like it sounds like something else. I was like, okay. Like, have you seen the movie The Blind Side? I said, I said, fuck off because they called me big Mike in high school, and I knew straight away. I remember they used to call, so they used to call me big Mike in high school because of that big oaf that played Mike or oh, gosh, a big oaf. And I was called big Mike. So as soon as you said the blindside, I remembered, oh, that's what Taco is. Yeah. The blindside.

[00:31:19]

That's stupid.

[00:31:21]

So when was the first time you found out all the positions? That was all that IMG. Yeah. And learning you do they teach you. The positions like like broad terminology like, is that where you learn like what a over front is or like. That's where I learned all of that.

[00:31:36]

Yeah.

[00:31:37]

Where you're learning that. How long before you were a member of the Philadelphia Eagles? Did you know like what a three technique was?

[00:31:43]

Um, so 2018, January, January 14th I think it was. Yeah. 2018 January 14th January 14th, 2018 was the first day I went to IMG and that was the start of the academy, and we were there until March 31st. So for that during those three months, all right. It was six days a week. So six days, six 12 hour days in a row and was just working out combine work and then film, film study position study. And it was just repeat on repeat and repeat. And I think probably about maybe a month in I kind of like understood. Okay. Three take five, take gaps. Yeah. You know, like basic position, like reading the plays and stuff I could understand and yeah, I was like, oh, this, this doesn't seem too hard. Yeah, yeah, I was wrong.

[00:32:34]

Yeah, yeah.

[00:32:35]

I was wrong. I was wrong.

[00:32:37]

In that three month time frame. How many NFL teams like when did stout.

[00:32:43]

Like come out. Yeah. Like, when.

[00:32:44]

Did that happen? So now does the offensive language Philadelphia Eagles for all you 90 percenters that aren't aware. Sorry. Go ahead.

[00:32:51]

I went home after after the pro day. March 31st was actually March 28th. Went home I came back April 1st. Then I had my own pro day. And before that pro day, I met up with Stoute. The day before. Yeah. And the first time I met him, I don't know if I should tell this story to have. I told you the story? I missed his call. I missed his call. And you guys had just won the Super Bowl. Yeah, yeah. And he left me a voicemail, and I wish I fucking save the voicemail. I shit you not. He ended it with. Yeah, just give me a ring. It's coach start again. That's Coach Stout, super Bowl 52 champions. No, I swear to God, I swear to God. I swear he just threw it out there like Chef Stallion.

[00:33:33]

You might want to give me a call back. All right.

[00:33:34]

Yeah, that's what you're saying. Say yeah. Give me a call back. Because, you know, I'm about to pull up at the school, and I would like to get with you before tomorrow's pro day. Yeah. I want to teach you to jet. So then I called him back and we organized it. Met up with him in the classroom, and when I met him at the car, I was like, oh, this guy's such a sweet, lovely old man. Like, you know, went to the classroom, math turned on the fifth, the switch, and it was game on. I he was quizzing me like I was like, I don't know what the hell are you talking about? Like what, brother? I don't even know what you mean by, like, the safety. Like rotating all that. I'm like, what the hell? So he's teaching me the progressions of to get protection on the grease board? Yeah, yeah. And after he goes. All right, make sure you take a photo with your mind.

[00:34:19]

Yeah. And then you rubbed out the board, and then that was the end of the meeting. I ran back up into that classroom. Thank God the grease board marks were still there because I just traced out everything. No way. Traced out he go. He's a.

[00:34:30]

Flanker. Like fucking go, man.

[00:34:33]

So I'm talking about Jordan.

[00:34:34]

Everything. Fuck yeah man. Yeah.

[00:34:36]

Took a picture of that shit out. Went home and studied it. The next day, the before my pro day again. Met up with the. This time was like three coaches in there. And he told me, hey, teach me to jet protection. I said easy, easy. I was like, I was like, dude, I mean, like, you teach me once you can teach, teach me something else. Yeah.

[00:35:00]

Sometimes you just got to get the answers to the test match.

[00:35:03]

You three jet protection. The camera flipped the photo, so. Yeah.

[00:35:09]

Well.

[00:35:10]

They can't repeat the photo, so I can teach you three. Jen. So.

[00:35:13]

So you had never seen really football outside of the Super Bowl. They didn't know anything about the sport. You go to a completely different country at the age of 20. You go into a program for three months and you are hoping to get your shot at the NFL. What? Is. I mean, dude, it's insane. What is your family saying? What are your friends? What are your rugby teammates saying? Like, were people like, oh yeah, you should definitely go try and make it to the NFL. Like, yeah, how did that what did everybody think of you doing this before you got drafted?

[00:35:51]

I mean, I'll start it with my family, okay. My family didn't want me to do it. It's just because they were looking out for me. They thought, you know, you didn't. You don't know anything about the sport. Why are you trying to go over there? And you think you can pick up something and master it? You know, it's pretty audacious. I mean, I get it, I get, I get it was like, you know, I was like, oh, look how naive of me to really think that I can go over here and just learn the sport. But for me, I was like, oh, well, you know, it's three months, I'm 20 years old. If it doesn't work out, I just come back here, pick up rocks and go play for free at rugby like fucking build stages and just. Yeah, you know, I could just do that.

[00:36:28]

Just come back and do what I'm doing right now.

[00:36:29]

I just after a year of doing what I did. Yeah. I didn't want to. I didn't want to keep doing that. Yeah. So I was like, I just want to try something. Try something new. I was getting paid. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that because I think me and another rugby player. No, actually I'm a laugh. I mean, okay, I was paid, I was paid to come, you know, compensated, I should say okay for those three months. Yeah. Literally. They I may have lied to them about how much I was making for the compensation. Just definitely wasn't. Right now.

[00:37:00]

That's my fucking kind of guy right there. That's my fucking kind of guy flanking.

[00:37:05]

Um, but, you know, they compensated me. And at first my family was like, it's not worth it. Like, why would you do that? Why would you give up on your rugby dreams? And I just honestly just couldn't be asked working to keep paying my way and my family. This man, my parents raised us to be real workers and hard workers and to follow through on what you start on, something that you start. And so for me, when I said I was going to try this out, they were like, you're crazy. So the way I grew up, you have to get permission from your parents. So I asked my parents for permission. They shut me down right away. Yeah, wait a couple of weeks, I asked again. Yeah. Oh, yeah.

[00:37:47]

They got the place.

[00:37:48]

Got the place. So.

[00:37:49]

Yeah, man, that's crazy wild.

[00:37:52]

I didn't ask Kelsey for anything. I was just like, I'm about to do this shit. I was about to do this.

[00:37:58]

Everything I don't the.

[00:38:00]

Dad wouldn't have. Yeah.

[00:38:01]

I didn't ask dad if I could take the car when I was in middle school. I just fucking did it.

[00:38:06]

You're only going a couple blocks away. He's a little bit less opinionated.

[00:38:10]

That's good. It's a good point.

[00:38:12]

It's a good point. That path to the draft or a path to the to the NFL is absolutely wild. Why don't we get to some draft stories?

[00:38:19]

Let's do it.

[00:38:20]

Let's do it, man. Let's jump into the the NFL draft experience. Jordan, you had a lot of doubters during your draft process because you know how new you were to the sport and everything and you wanting to be a running back and not really in. On playing left tackle when the draft did come around, did you think you were going to get selected like, were you like, yeah, no, I'm like one of the best athletes in this thing, which is what you are.

[00:38:45]

No, man, I for real, I got invited to go to the draft in Dallas. Oh, wow. And I guess NFL films wanted to just capture the whole thing of, like, the potential NFL always know.

[00:38:59]

They always know. They knew Jason's documentary was going to be the best Prime has ever seen. Anybody gets.

[00:39:07]

Brother. Oh, this guy right here. Yeah. I mean day two. I actually flew out there on day two. And then at the end of day two, they told me, like, you're probably going to if you were to get drafted, you would probably be a day three. I was like, listen, I'm just living it up right now. Says you guys are paying for all my meals, paying for my my room, my travel. I said, this is cool. I said, dude, I was like, and he told me, I just have to talk into a camera. I'm like, dude, I'm cool with that. Yeah. And then the you know, day three happened and waiting around all day was was crazy. And I really didn't think I was going to get drafted. I was just there for the I was just there for the ride. Sure. Enjoy the ride. It was surreal though, because when they say, oh, you're going to get random calls, some teams and sure enough, like these area codes will pop up of towns I've never heard of before in my life.

[00:39:55]

And like what green Bay.

[00:39:58]

It was Ohio. It was Ohio. Cleveland, Cleveland. I can't remember what it was. It might have been Westlake. Yeah. And I pick it up like, oh, is your agent there still with my rugby agent. Yeah. And yeah, he was getting a couple. Cool. Saying like, uh, this team wants you like they want you undrafted. They if you don't get drafted, they're going to reach out. And in my head I'm like, well, I can still go on the program. Yeah. Because, you know, I'm still technically still part of the program. And if I don't get drafted, I just get slotted onto a squad.

[00:40:28]

Yeah, somebody's going to use a squad exactly right.

[00:40:31]

And almost went to Pittsburgh.

[00:40:35]

Dude. I mean, I can see it.

[00:40:36]

It fits.

[00:40:37]

Those.

[00:40:38]

Big guys. Yeah. Almost went to Pittsburgh. I found that out probably two years.

[00:40:44]

After you or.

[00:40:45]

The through the pathway. Through the pathways. Okay. Yeah, through the pathways.

[00:40:50]

Jeff Stoutland said not so fast.

[00:40:51]

Not so.

[00:40:52]

Fast.

[00:40:53]

Whoever made the.

[00:40:53]

Whoever made the call, Brandon Brown was the one who found me. Really? Brandon Brown was the one who was at the pro day, actually, at our combine day. At our combine day with five of us. Yeah, we joined a local combine in Tampa and we were at the Bucs facility. That's where they hosted it. Got it. And Brandon Brown was one of the scouts there. So shout out to you Brandon Brown Bibby. He was like I got it. This guy excuse your fast I think I found something. There's this.

[00:41:23]

Big ass.

[00:41:24]

Guy £310.

[00:41:25]

Body fat 10%.

[00:41:28]

Runs like Jerome Bettis.

[00:41:30]

Street 40, but probably three 4140. All right.

[00:41:35]

Just a fucking.

[00:41:36]

I know I ran it five flat, but haters will say five, ten. Oh. Yeah, it's still me. This will say.

[00:41:44]

Still moving for that. Yeah. That body of mass. Well the Eagles found a way to draft you the 233rd overall pick when you got the call of being drafted. Like who was the one that spoke to you. Was it Stoutland.

[00:41:58]

It was Brandon Brown. He was the one who called me first. And he told me, hey, our GM would like to speak to you. And I was like, okay, so I was okay.

[00:42:09]

And then did you say our Super Bowl champion GM? Yeah.

[00:42:13]

Oh man, he's going to kill me. If you guys leave that.

[00:42:16]

It's 1,000%. I know for a fact.

[00:42:19]

Study I love you, but I know that's what you left because the impression that was left upon me, I was just like, wow, this guy's really a big deal. Yeah, like like this guy's real. The real deal. He's the real deal. I was like, I never heard of anybody introduce themselves like that and then say goodbye. Like that. Like, am I in the wrong here?

[00:42:37]

No, no, this is hilarious. It's spot on. You're spot on with this. This is great.

[00:42:42]

So Brandon's on the phone. Brandon's going to hand it to Howie the GM.

[00:42:45]

Then. Then it's Howie. Yeah. And I start crying. I just start crying because I'm like fuck. Like so many emotions. And hell, I just couldn't believe that. Like, you know, I understood what it meant to be drafted because of how we were coached during the program and the privilege of even just being on a P squad. Yeah, having the opportunity to play in the NFL and represent the NFL and the country that you're from. Yeah. And so like I guess the past three months going six days straight one day.

[00:43:15]

Oh yeah. Dude you know.

[00:43:16]

For three months felt like a long ass training camp.

[00:43:18]

Having to get the blessing from your family just to do it like this. That's an unbelievable story, man.

[00:43:24]

You had to have a participation slip signed by your parents to.

[00:43:27]

Come to the. Yes, I got that because it's a Samoan. It's a Samoan. The culture man. You got to ask your parents if you're not married, then you have to ask your parents for permission. Oh, yeah? Yeah. That's just you move out of the house.

[00:43:44]

It's a lot of Samoans.

[00:43:45]

It's a little. It's a Samoan culture, man. You just. It's the way I was brought up.

[00:43:49]

So you talked to Howie? He tells you the draft. You talk to stout at all? Talk to stuff?

[00:43:54]

Yeah. Talk to Doug and talk to stout. Doug. Doug. Stout. Yeah. Here we go.

[00:44:00]

It's not leave you with anything. What did he.

[00:44:02]

Just. He just come in here and be ready to roll? He's like, you got to be hungry. You got to stay hungry. But, you know, we're so excited to have you. And you know.

[00:44:10]

You with the hungry dogs.

[00:44:11]

Run faster and faster.

[00:44:13]

There you go.

[00:44:14]

So you get drafted. You come to Philadelphia and you enter in your words as Travis just put Jeff Stoutland University.

[00:44:21]

I mean, he has to be he has to be the mentor that you were looking for, man. I mean, outside of. Telling the Eagles, you know, hungry dogs run faster. And that was the mentality that they had and like catapulted them into the into winning that Super Bowl the year before you got drafted. I mean to have one of the best, you know, offensive linemen minds or coaches. You know that had to be a freaking big mentor for you for sure.

[00:44:45]

Man, I didn't really understand, again, what I was really walking into when I got drafted and when I came to Philly, and just that little snippet of stout and how passionate he is, you know, when when he conducted that interview with me was wasn't enough for me to really understand the kind of person he was really hard coach, a really passionate coach, really detailed coach. But at the end of the day, the man just gives a fuck about the player and the sport. And man, it was it was crazy. It was crazy walking into the locker room because he had obviously we had kills.

[00:45:22]

Jason Peters.

[00:45:23]

Brandon.

[00:45:24]

Brooks, JP.

[00:45:26]

Lane, Johnson Wisniewski, Isaac Somalo and Big V, Big V's. That was the locker room I was able to be a part of. Can't forget about Chance Womack too, man. The chance. So I was very privileged to walk into a room with very experienced guys and then also have a coach like stout that brought me along along the way. Hell yeah.

[00:45:49]

Man. Well, hats off brother. So you go from Australia to Philly. What was the most extreme Philly thing that that you're all in on or like was a huge shock for you.

[00:46:03]

Culture Philly thing.

[00:46:05]

How average the cheesesteaks are or no shit.

[00:46:07]

Don't you dare. Don't you dare do that, man. I'm fucking kidding.

[00:46:10]

Every time I'm in Philly. So I would say definitely barbecue.

[00:46:14]

I thought, I thought I grew up in a, in a town that that was really die hard about sports. It's different here. It's different feeling. It's different.

[00:46:22]

Yeah.

[00:46:23]

And I thought the town I grew up in was Die Hard. Yeah, I thought we were. Me too. I had fans passionate. No. Philly. Philly culture is I don't think it can be matched. Maybe it can be matched maybe in England with the soccer. Yeah. Just be honest. So could they. Is pretty big. Sure.

[00:46:39]

So how much better is the food in Philadelphia than Australia. I'm not worried. That right. No.

[00:46:47]

No. I just looked at you like you setting me up, you piece of shit instead of me. You know I like that.

[00:46:54]

You know how he does things.

[00:46:56]

Um, man, the food. The food in Philly is really good. Yeah, really, really good. Um, the food back home is okay. It's okay, it's okay. I grew up with it, so I was like, yeah, I do miss. I do miss our Middle Eastern food. That's what I grew up around.

[00:47:11]

What's a popular sandwich in Australia?

[00:47:14]

Um.

[00:47:16]

You guys have your meat pies?

[00:47:17]

Popular sandwich. It's not a sandwich.

[00:47:19]

I mean, it's a.

[00:47:20]

It's a meat. Pies aren't honest.

[00:47:21]

Okay, fine. You guys have me. What's better? Meat pies or cheesesteaks?

[00:47:27]

She's such a motherfucking. Guy. You can't win. You can't win with this dude, man. That's the first.

[00:47:35]

To a politician. Either this way or that way. Yeah. No, you already know.

[00:47:38]

I mean, I say you like both of them, I do. I can't pick one. Yeah, I'll be civil. Fair enough.

[00:47:45]

But you have a food truck. That's a.

[00:47:51]

Yes, yes, I do have a it's not my food truck but yes I do. I am an ambassador for me. So. Yes.

[00:47:59]

All right. What's one Philly thing that you still don't understand that you, you know, you're just can't get behind or you just don't get it.

[00:48:07]

I probably say like the driving here, I can't I don't understand the driving in Philly. It might be something very controversial. I'm very I'm a very, like, reserved driver. I don't like to use my horn. Yeah. Is that what you call it? Right? I don't like to use my whole I hate America, but. All right. But as soon as the light turns green. Yeah, I'm like, what? Yeah, yeah.

[00:48:32]

These are moving fast, man. If you're three cars back, man, you don't. You get stuck in a fucking nother life.

[00:48:36]

One of the pisses me off. That happens a lot in Philly. I mean, everybody's in a hurry on the East coast. I feel like I cannot stand when I get to a light. And somebody in the left turn lane decides to jump the light and turn left. Like, as soon as it turns, go that one. Like not.

[00:48:52]

It makes you want to hit it. Doesn't it make you? These days I'm.

[00:48:55]

Going to do it because I don't care. I'll take that. I'll take the repair bill.

[00:48:58]

I'm going to. What do you mean? The repair.

[00:49:00]

Bill? They're not. They're not allowed to do that.

[00:49:02]

Well, either way, I don't know what would be a fault, but I don't care. I'm going to ruin the value of your vehicle.

[00:49:07]

I'm going to make you pay.

[00:49:09]

For not respecting the rule of law and the order of operations here at the at the at the junction where we're at. It really bothers me.

[00:49:18]

I don't blame I don't blame you, bro.

[00:50:48]

Whatever flavor you prefer, you can find accelerator Active Energy available on Amazon.

[00:50:55]

Let's talk about those first days with the Eagles, man. And this is the most important question I'm going to ask you. And we please do not hold back on this right there. There have been some great answers for this and I expect nothing less from you. Jordan, what was your first impression on Jason Kelce?

[00:51:13]

Which I go upstairs so you can be.

[00:51:16]

Um. It took me. It took me a little bit to match that. Jason Kelce was the guy that gave the the parade speech. So it took me a little bit two together. That's good. At first I was like oh Jason Kelsey's just the center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Good bloke. And then the more I was there I was like, wait a minute. I said, go on the fucking suit. Wait a minute. I was like, oh, this guy's fucking legend from the snake in Philly. This guy's fucking legend. But soon enough that that legendary. I found out real quick how how serious this man was about football. But he knew when to turn it on. Turn it off. So that was fun getting to to see him and stout. I thought this man was Einstein when I first got there, because when I was learning the plays and sitting in the sitting in the classroom, just the only two voices I heard. Was stout and chaos, and the occasional whiz.

[00:52:16]

And occasional.

[00:52:17]

Case you do is. Yeah.

[00:52:20]

Those are most of the talkers in the movie. You and those guys would talk to you, but after. Yeah. More after the.

[00:52:27]

Yes.

[00:52:27]

He's not saying nothing in the media.

[00:52:29]

No, but I've gone up to them and be like, hey, hey, what did he mean by by this? I felt like I couldn't go up the coast because I was like, they on the same page, but he's in the same page with style. They have their own language. I don't know if they speak in English anymore. This was crazy. In my head, I'm like, man, this guy's like a genius. Start this guy. Invent football. Hey, there he is. Christ. That was my first impression. And this is coming from somebody who didn't know anything. I'm sitting there like, man, he.

[00:52:54]

Doesn't know at all. Man.

[00:52:55]

I knew I wasn't crazy because I could see the other rookies. Like one of them was sleeping and the other rookies are sleeping. Yeah, you already know who else I'm talking about. And then, like the other two, I looking at me like, do you understand what they're saying? I'm like, brother, you asking me? I just got here like three months ago. Like, why are you asking me if I understand? Like, this was it.

[00:53:17]

You got your wits about you, man.

[00:53:18]

But that was my. That was my first impression of Kells, because I was. It was. It was really. This guy's a genius.

[00:53:24]

Fucking Einstein. Golly, it's just a fucking. It's just a dummy trying to answer a no dumb question then. Did you feel like you fit into the O-line room? I don't think the world understands how unique and offensive line room is, man.

[00:53:40]

What do you mean by that?

[00:53:42]

It's like some of like the most, you know, gosh, what do I mean by that? Like it's not a it's not a I'm not taking I'm not I'm not taking the dice. No I'm not digging at you guys by any means, man. It really is a unique like chemistry. It's a unique way of life. Like, I know offensive linemen that will put in, like. A delivery order before an away game like we're in Denver. And at noon, knowing that he's going to get home at 10 p.m. and is going to be hungry. We'll put in a delivery order. And it would be sitting on his front porch like like, oh, linemen are so unique that I really can't even explain it. I'm going to have to really get down to it. But did you did you see and feel how different the O-line room was from everybody else when you first got there?

[00:54:35]

Yeah man, I was just a fly on the wall. I was just trying to soak up and learn everything I could, even just about the culture, because I didn't know the locker room from rugby to the NFL was way different. Yeah, was way different in terms of what? How in terms of chemistry? Um, in terms of chemistry.

[00:54:57]

Was it better in the rugby or better in the NFL?

[00:54:59]

You can't ask him questions like that. Stop trying to just.

[00:55:03]

He's.

[00:55:03]

You're you're making him shit on somebody.

[00:55:06]

Okay. Let me see if I can prove it. So I know like is it. Was it more of like a it was more.

[00:55:10]

It was more cohesive. Yes. Like family, like brotherhood. The whole locker room was against rugby. Rugby. And. But that's because we don't have 50 fucking 53 people in a roster. Sure. So you know, we had like we had probably 26 to 30 players. That was the full team.

[00:55:29]

You know they're like position meetings when it's a rugby or like everybody kind of meeting together.

[00:55:33]

Everyone's kind of meeting together.

[00:55:34]

So it's like more of like in football everybody gets like segmented separate their their task or their position. So I could see that.

[00:55:42]

So 100%. So yeah that was like that was a big thing for me was like, oh I was like, you know, they had like everybody had cliques or groups. Yeah. But you know, rugby was just the one group wasn't like, yeah, I think.

[00:55:55]

That's why you, I feel like you more than a lot of other guys aren't like, cliquey. Like, you make it a point to hang out with everybody. Yeah. And to like you. I think that's one of the like you're a natural leader in regards to that. Like you talk to everybody in the game offense, defense. Like I feel like you do a really, really good job of that. Maybe that's from that rugby background.

[00:56:17]

I get caught up.

[00:56:18]

In like what we're doing.

[00:56:20]

Yeah, all the times.

[00:56:21]

Yeah.

[00:56:21]

Whenever I look up.

[00:56:22]

Maybe, maybe I should sit down on the bench more often.

[00:56:25]

But you'll drive after on the other day, the other game because he's.

[00:56:30]

Like, Where's Jordan? And he's over there conversing with guys trying to make corrections in the middle of the game.

[00:56:35]

I think you should keep being who you are, but definitely make sure you're clear with stop.

[00:56:41]

Yeah, I did this last game. I did, I was like, I'm just going down there to get Gatorade. Yeah, I made sure I ran it by him this time because I didn't want to get yelled at. Where someone get Jordan, where is he at? He always wanted to run off.

[00:56:53]

I can hear you.

[00:56:54]

Got to sit down and get the corrections you got. We got it. When I'm talking about it, you got to listen anyway. Sorry.

[00:56:59]

So when you when you get to the Eagles, you don't know anything about football. You're learning it stoutland you. But we already talked. There's a lot of really, really experienced veteran guys in the room who who are the guys that took you really under their wing the most in your first even couple of years? Like maybe not even just your first year? Like, who are the guys that went out of their way to explain the game and to help you.

[00:57:22]

When it comes to the game? Definitely JP and Layne. But for every day, just how I was doing and making sure that my mentors are okay. Big V, big V man, big V, I love big V man. He was one of the best mentors and friends that I ever had. I mean, you took me under your wing too. With that headbutt? Yeah.

[00:57:43]

I don't know if that's under a wing, but.

[00:57:45]

It almost sent me to the the wing of the hospital because. The emergency wing. Hey, Jesus Christ, big V was a big mentor to me. Just off off the field stuff. And, you know, whenever I didn't understand anything that stout was going on about, I would go to V and he would just dumb it down for me. And then when it came to technique stuff, JP and Lane would always talk to me about technique and teach me and coach me through it. Even Wiz and Kells, we came to technique stuff, everybody. That was the beauty of the of the O-line room. That's what.

[00:58:21]

I'm saying. It's so unique. You don't get that in every room, man.

[00:58:24]

That's what I that's what I learned.

[00:58:26]

Was, is what.

[00:58:26]

I learned is the.

[00:58:27]

O-line room may be the most similar to the the rugby. Yeah. Kind of culture for sure.

[00:58:34]

Yeah for sure for sure. What about the tight Titans?

[00:58:39]

I mean, we had him in every once. I think Dallas, I don't know about Travis. He's kind of more of a receiver.

[00:58:44]

I'm a flanker, man.

[00:58:45]

I'm just.

[00:58:45]

I'm going with the wind, dawg. Okay, I'll see you guys on the other side.

[00:58:49]

Honestly, you and Travis are very similar. Travis is always talking to all the positions.

[00:58:56]

I think both of you fucking bench. Yeah, Melvin. He does not love that. But I am never on the bench. Was like, yeah, they were just in the A43 cover cover for. And I was just sitting there like I just yeah, I saw it, I was there, I was just out there.

[00:59:09]

I was out there, I saw it.

[00:59:12]

What what are we reviewing? Do you have something for me?

[00:59:14]

Yeah. Let's do it.

[00:59:15]

All right. Cool. What's next? Okay, we got those coming up. Nice. I love that. Perfect. Tell me up. Since we're talking your first years in the league, though, we always ask this to all of our guests that play in the league. What was your welcome to the NFL moment? Great question.

[00:59:33]

Um, training camp, rookie year. I'm going to do one on one and I'm versing. Stephen means oh, yeah, you already know. And that man set me down back. Well, I got brushed. I get out of my stance and I don't know how I got there. And I get to my spot. I'm like, oh, I'm about to throw my hands. And then I'm looking up at the sky, son. He just just oh my god, headbutt me. And oh, someone say headbutt. He brushed me. But yeah man, that was my welcome to the NFL moment because I was yeah, I felt helpless.

[01:00:13]

Is probably one of the first times you had ever been like I want to say manhandled like somebody put you took you on a ride. Yeah.

[01:00:20]

Stephen Means did it real early and.

[01:00:22]

You did do a lot of guys.

[01:00:24]

Well, that's what I learned. And then the next rookie comes up, he did it to the next rookie. I'm like, I'm sitting in this guy's a machine. Like I'm like, hey, yeah, he's good. I was like, forgot who you just started playing. I was like, oh yeah, at least, at least the guy's been playing his whole life. Put on his ass, dude. I would say that was my welcome. Oh, that or either getting blindsided. My fourth preseason game, my first year, I.

[01:00:49]

Forgot about that.

[01:00:50]

And we threw a pick against the Jets. It was at home and I had an.

[01:00:55]

Outlaw blindside like block. You know what I mean? Like, oh wow, it still wasn't a oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

[01:01:00]

And as long as they didn't go helmet to helmet, he didn't.

[01:01:04]

Know I didn't know.

[01:01:05]

I did not know.

[01:01:06]

Have you head on a swivel.

[01:01:07]

Have you had on your swivel. No I just had eyes on the ball. And Frankie. Loveyou shout out to Frankie. Frankie who just leveled me. It was the first time I'd ever been leveled like that. Like, what.

[01:01:19]

The fuck was that.

[01:01:20]

Dude?

[01:01:20]

I was like, fucking.

[01:01:21]

Exactly what happened was like, what the fuck just happened?

[01:01:24]

What? It used to be.

[01:01:25]

Bro.

[01:01:26]

It was an interception.

[01:01:27]

Fuck that fucking that's that's fucking football. That's football.

[01:01:31]

Kids in rugby, they're not allowed the ball.

[01:01:34]

Yeah, you can't lead with your shoulder.

[01:01:35]

But do you love rock at all?

[01:01:36]

You can. You can rap like when you hit. Oh are you talking about interception. Like you don't have the ball.

[01:01:42]

Somebody blind.

[01:01:43]

You can't you can't block him. Right.

[01:01:44]

You're not allowed to know. So it makes sense that like that was you don't even think about that. You just think about getting the ball. But you've made some impressive tackles because of that rugby background. But thank you. Yeah. You're that was probably a pretty new experience I.

[01:01:59]

Yeah that you know that was probably my welcome to the NFL moment for sure. Sure.

[01:02:05]

Well we don't have to talk about it long. But we do have to at least talk about because how crazy your story is. You made it to the Super Bowl. How did you enjoy that experience outside of like the ending of the game and all that? I don't want to get into all that, but like the buildup, the meet the media leading up to the game, I'm trying to keep it, you know what I mean? I'm not Jason. I'm not just going to fucking chop you the knees. I'm going to fucking be, you know what I mean? Understanding of this situation. I've lost a fucking Super Bowl too. So I get it right, I get it. But I know how was that experience, man? It had to be it had to be like, because you literally went from not playing at all. It was just a dream to literally playing in the Super Bowl. Man, oh.

[01:02:45]

Man, what a way to begin. I mean, I couldn't believe. I couldn't believe that one, that we actually were going to a Super Bowl. Um, I didn't have that as a, as a, you know, when people ask you like, oh, you know, what are your long term short term goals? Your, your five year goals, ten year goals. Like, I didn't I didn't have any of that in the process or on my list when he found out. It really just hits you like, again, you just understand the position that you're in and the opportunity that you have to go out there and. At the whole time I was just thinking like, man, everything that we've sacrificed because it is odd, man. The NFL is a hard lifestyle and you get rewarded pretty well. Um, you know, the pay, the pay and all the other stuff that you get with it. The perks. Definitely a lot of upside. But yeah, the downside is there's a lot to and you know, when you make it all the way, you just very appreciative.

[01:03:42]

And especially in my case, I just reflected on everything that it took to get there.

[01:03:48]

Hell yeah.

[01:03:48]

And then get to go and share that moment with the guys. You've been you've been grinding it out all year with.

[01:03:55]

So flash forward, you're now in your sixth year in the NFL. You are I think as of this week, the number one rated tackle on PFF for for whatever that's worth. But I mean, from not playing the game at all six years ago to being the highest rated tackle in the league, pretty darn impressive. We're going to get to the 2023 Eagles current. What's happening right now. First thing we're going to talk about is what everybody's talking about with the Philadelphia Eagles, which is the brotherly shove. One of the reasons we got to talk to you about this is because you're our resident mean rugby expert. We've talked a lot in the show, man. It's in the news almost every week at this point across the NFL. But of course, it is an integral part of the brotherly show play. First and foremost, how do you feel about the criticism that the play should be banned because it's a rugby play?

[01:04:53]

I mean, who's saying.

[01:04:54]

That Peter King, notably Peter very much has.

[01:04:56]

Been shot.

[01:04:57]

Which shout out to Peter. We love you, Peter. I don't appreciate your stance.

[01:05:00]

On this one. Saying, yeah, we love you out loud.

[01:05:02]

Just like.

[01:05:03]

Peter.

[01:05:04]

I mean.

[01:05:05]

But you're wrong on this.

[01:05:06]

I mean, it is certainly, certainly a take that I don't understand why he said that. It's got nothing to do with any rugby movements.

[01:05:14]

So you're saying it's not a it's not a rugby play, is it not similar to the scrum. How is it different than a scrum.

[01:05:21]

To the scrum is much harder than the toothbrush, brother.

[01:05:24]

I guess it depends on if it's the defense or the off. Yeah.

[01:05:27]

Whatever it is.

[01:05:28]

What?

[01:05:29]

A scrum is way harder.

[01:05:30]

So what is. Why is the scrum harder?

[01:05:32]

You have to essentially you have to interlock with this two the three guys. Yeah four guys and two I've seen it.

[01:05:39]

You got your shoulder around the other. You got to interlock.

[01:05:41]

With guys and then you have to.

[01:05:43]

Yeah. And then you push.

[01:05:45]

And you push.

[01:05:46]

But like how much of it how much I want to be honest with me. How much of it is kind of for show.

[01:05:54]

Like how much.

[01:05:54]

Of it is kind of just like we're kind of just leaning on each other, but we're not really pushing.

[01:06:00]

Not happening. You can. You can definitely. He's been doing.

[01:06:04]

This to you all fucking episodes. I love it.

[01:06:07]

What am I doing? I'm asking a question. What am I doing, dude? Oh, man. It's definitely not for show, bro. Okay, it's definitely not for sure. It's real. You can see when they push. Sometimes when they push, they just collapse straight away because of the. They're not too much weight. It's too much force. Yeah. It's way too much force going in. And if they don't hit it right that's why they teams can't sustain it. Sustain it. Yeah. So it's it's definitely not right.

[01:06:34]

So it's not a rugby play. Rugby scrum harder than the brotherly shove. Yes. Okay. Do you think you are good at the brotherly shove. Because listen a lot of people give me and Jalen the most amount of credit. But I think if you look at the tape unequivocally you and Landon get a.

[01:06:54]

It's the second.

[01:06:55]

Majority of the.

[01:06:55]

Push. It's the.

[01:06:57]

What what.

[01:06:58]

Second wave.

[01:06:58]

You're so good at it.

[01:06:59]

Mess.

[01:07:00]

Do you at least incorporate rugby scrum. Techniques and fundamentals in the brotherly shove that you do. Or is it? Is it like not even close to the same thing?

[01:07:12]

I've learned the brotherly shove here at the Eagles. Okay. I didn't incorporate anything. So no carryover okay. All right.

[01:07:19]

Leverage.

[01:07:20]

Leverage. JP and stout taught me the brotherly shove because that's.

[01:07:25]

Teach me, teach me.

[01:07:26]

Let's be honest. No. The Eagles have always been good at running sneaks.

[01:07:29]

They have been.

[01:07:30]

Yeah. You guys have always been good. And that's where I learnt it from. And then we just carried it over. And then Sirianni.

[01:07:37]

Take it to another level and run.

[01:07:38]

Well, he sees that we're really good at it because we've always been really good. Sure. And then now I just I just do whatever, whatever you taught me all those years ago. All right. That's what I do now. I don't want to give it away. But yeah, you know, I just I do what you, what you essentially told me, and it works every time.

[01:07:57]

How do you feel about people wanting to ban the play in general?

[01:08:03]

I get it, but then I don't get it. Yeah. I mean, like, I get it, but I don't get it. Yeah. Like it's what are we.

[01:08:09]

Going to what are we going to ban a fade to AJ Brown. Because it works every fucking time. Probably not.

[01:08:15]

I understand the frustrations. Like if we were getting destroyed like that. Like I would understand. Yeah. But I don't know why. More people just need to run it.

[01:08:26]

They're trying.

[01:08:27]

They're trying. Run it better.

[01:08:29]

Get that fucking Swedish scientist. What was the dude organized?

[01:08:35]

Richie Gray, the Scottish, that guy.

[01:08:37]

That was my Scottish accent.

[01:08:38]

I thought Scottish.

[01:08:39]

I thought it was hilarious. I thought it was hilarious. It was pretty spot on, like, word for word. What he said though. Yeah, definitely not the right accent. But what for what? What for what what what all make was saying. What all make was saying was true. It was great.

[01:08:54]

Well let's talk some some Eagles line man a little bit. And you guys are going up against I mean arguably the best defensive line in the in the in the league. I mean it's Jalen Carter the best rookie you've ever faced since you've been in the league.

[01:09:08]

Yeah hands down yeah.

[01:09:09]

Hands down. He doesn't.

[01:09:10]

Play out on the edge too often.

[01:09:12]

When he loops out.

[01:09:13]

Mostly inside.

[01:09:13]

But when he loops out he's laughing at me. He is laughing as he's looping out from a three attack, and he's basically just trying to get get to my inside and just beat me inside. After he's looped out, he's looped out all the way and then he just comes back into it. It's amazing. It's like incredible. I've never seen anybody do that. And he's laughing the whole time. Yeah, it's actually a really good dude. He's a great singer, really good dude.

[01:09:35]

I'm really thankful that he likes me and that he.

[01:09:38]

Likes me too.

[01:09:39]

Because I feel like he could just destroy me every single time he comes down to nose and he just kind of messes around. I'm. He kind of treats like the older guys, like, we're like like a bear. Like playing with, like his.

[01:09:51]

Like.

[01:09:52]

Prey, you know what I mean?

[01:09:53]

Just like porn at it, right? Yeah.

[01:09:56]

I'm like, I'm like, no, thank God you're not. Treat me the way you just treated the backup, right?

[01:09:59]

Oh my God. So. Just be just like, just play and play with it if it's food. Oh my God.

[01:10:11]

Just give him some reassurance after every play. Just so sir. Good rep Jaylen good read. Yeah he.

[01:10:15]

He's got a ton of.

[01:10:18]

What do you think has made this unit this this you know the Philly dogs or whatever whatever you want to call this D-line. What do you think has made this unit just so successful. Like is it just their tenacity how athletic they are? Yeah. What do you think this.

[01:10:32]

Dude, this this group is hella athletic. I mean, have you seen how just what is built as advertised.

[01:10:38]

Hello?

[01:10:38]

I'm serious. I'm serious. Like these guys.

[01:10:43]

Love to hear that.

[01:10:46]

These guys are athletic freaks, man. And you look at Jalen. You look at Jalen Carter and you just like oh that's it.

[01:10:54]

And then he.

[01:10:54]

Just oh boom you can hit you anywhere. You if you don't give him the respect I think that's that's a good point. If you don't give them the respect that he deserves he will make a fool of you.

[01:11:04]

Yeah.

[01:11:04]

Yeah he will make a fool of you.

[01:11:06]

Let's talk about your relationship with Jalen Hurts a little bit. You recently asked about Jalen playing through injuries. You said I fucking love that and inspires us to lock it a lot. Yeah, I fucking love that and inspires us to lock it up and firm it up and pass protection. I mean, Jesus, the guy's a warrior. Love him. I love that man. I love that man to death man.

[01:11:32]

Man, what a man. I think they misquoted me there. I don't remember saying that man.

[01:11:37]

Exactly like that.

[01:11:38]

Man. He meant.

[01:11:39]

Um. Yeah. What is what is the dynamic like with you and for you?

[01:11:44]

Um, it's kind of weird, man. I feel like he's. Like my brother. Yeah, but then he also is like my older brother because he's got an old soul. He doesn't. He's got an old soul.

[01:11:54]

And I'm like, dude, man, you're younger than me.

[01:11:57]

Like. Like what? Like, why are you so.

[01:11:59]

Mature and, like, level headed? Yeah.

[01:12:00]

I was like, crazy, man. Like, the guy's got a great head on his shoulders, man. Yeah, for sure. And, I mean, it's truly amazing seeing his, like, development for sure from when he came in as a rookie to now man he's a he's a real true born leader man. True true believer.

[01:12:19]

Well I know he I know he got Jason the his first ever Louis Vuitton duffel bag. Oh yeah. Oh I mean.

[01:12:28]

That was man.

[01:12:28]

That was he introduced Louis V to you. Did you introduce Louis to you?

[01:12:31]

Yeah. I'm not a big designer guy too. But when we got this for Christmas, I was like that. You know, that's not bad. Like, if I was to get a Louis bag would be a black Louis bag. This is it. Louis back. I was, like, really nice.

All right, here we go. We we talked Mount Rushmore on this this this show. Jason. I don't forget what Mount Rushmore we asked you. I put myself on my own Mount Rushmore like a selfish prick. But let's ask you what your Mount Rushmore is, and we're going to. We're gonna have some fun with you. Being from Australia, we'd like to rank an all time greats on this show. Who's on your Mount Rushmore of Australians?

[01:15:45]

This is good because he doesn't know any tackles historically. Anyways. Perfect. So yeah. What do you got?

[01:15:52]

We got something. You want us to throw some out there do you have for that. You can just do you.

[01:15:56]

Need I mean what Americans. So this list was comprised of our American producers, right. Tell us if this is a good list of Australians that represent your Mount Rushmore. Okay. Russell Crowe. Yes. High.

[01:16:09]

Yeah. Very high. Okay. Rusty.

[01:16:11]

Heath ledger.

[01:16:12]

100%.

[01:16:13]

I didn't know Heath ledger was Australian or was Australian. Okay. Hugh Jackman.

[01:16:17]

Oh, yes.

[01:16:19]

Okay. Hugh.

[01:16:20]

Margot Robbie. That's a good list. Yeah. Okay. Great list.

[01:16:23]

Steve Irwin, the fucking icon.

[01:16:27]

Number one on my list.

[01:16:28]

Jesus Christ.

[01:16:30]

Kidman right? Yeah, yeah. Hemsworth brothers.

[01:16:34]

Yeah yeah yeah. Paul Hogan.

[01:16:37]

Hogan. Yeah. Not to.

[01:16:39]

Be confused with Hogan.

[01:16:41]

Paul Hogan yep. Look him up, please.

[01:16:47]

It's just such a it's such a common name over there. I just want to know what you were talking about.

[01:16:50]

Oh, mate. Yeah. Guy who invented Foster Foster's Australia. Forbid.

[01:16:56]

Did you guys like Foster's? Man, is it really the Australian beer? Foster's.

[01:17:00]

Foster's? It's not Australian beer. It's not. Wait, what the fuck? You didn't know I told you. I told you this when they came down to the drive and you betrayed me. Before we let that. You let that on there, bro. You let that on. You betrayed me. Foster's is not Australian beer.

[01:17:15]

Dude. It is just crazy beer.

[01:17:17]

It's Australian themed, made in the middle of nowhere in America.

[01:17:20]

So you can just.

[01:17:22]

Cut into all of that.

[01:17:23]

That was the other thing. The size. Reese's and Diet Pepsi. He also.

[01:17:27]

Foster's. Yeah.

[01:17:29]

And then he he always say like shrimp on the Bobby.

[01:17:31]

Oh my God.

[01:17:34]

You shut the fuck. No.

[01:17:37]

He never said that.

[01:17:38]

He never did that. All right. What wait time though. So yeah. Foster's was founded in 1888, in Melbourne, Victoria, by two American brothers who sold the brewery a year later. So it used to be, oh, fuck me, that used to be in Australia. But now apparently it is.

[01:17:56]

I'm with you, Jordan.

[01:17:57]

All right, I'll definitely go. Steve Irwin, Steve Irwin, one of the greats. Yep.

[01:18:02]

Taken down by a wild animal. Vicious animal.

[01:18:06]

He should have killed his.

[01:18:08]

They did kill it, didn't they? If they didn't, they should have.

[01:18:11]

Killed itself after fucking did that to Steve.

[01:18:14]

Are stingrays like bumblebees? Like if they sting you, do they die?

[01:18:19]

No, I think so. Okay. Yeah. Steve Irwin. Um.

[01:18:26]

Who else you got?

[01:18:27]

I have to say Nicole Kidman. What? Yeah. Okay, I have that list. She's. She's a legend, for sure. And respected Jason.

[01:18:34]

Don't fucking ask.

[01:18:35]

It. That's not my list. I'm not Australian.

[01:18:37]

I got to get back. I got to get back on. Hey, I got to go back on Heath. Heath. Okay. No, no. Okay. He's out. So we're going to go. Steve-O and Steve Irwin. Hugh Jackman, Hugh.

[01:18:46]

Jackman.

[01:18:47]

Hugh Russell Crowe, Russell.

[01:18:49]

Crowe, Nicole Kidman.

[01:18:51]

Nicole Kidman and then.

[01:18:53]

495. There's only four presidents.

[01:18:55]

You get five.

[01:18:56]

Oh, who?

[01:18:57]

Who else?

[01:18:58]

We're going to ask him.

[01:18:59]

Who are you? Who's on whose? Honorable mention that you were just about to.

[01:19:01]

Say, This is Matt Mellado.

[01:19:03]

I'm out of here.

[01:19:05]

Let's just go with four. I'm. I'm good with four. No, you can do five.

[01:19:07]

Let's respect who's the odd man? Who's the odd man or woman out. You can also choose somebody that's not.

[01:19:12]

Yeah I'm trying I'm trying to think of is there like a guy.

[01:19:16]

Or like somebody call.

[01:19:16]

It probably be like the the Hemsworth person will definitely be the fifth one. Okay. All right. The Hemsworth brothers, since that's one.

[01:19:24]

All right. Yeah I.

[01:19:25]

Mean got.

[01:19:26]

It. That's a that's an honorable list right there.

[01:19:28]

Now that we we got an Australian's view of what an Australian Mount Rushmore is. I'm going to get crucified.

[01:19:37]

Woo.

[01:19:37]

Let's discuss the fact that you're not actually Australian.

[01:19:41]

Oh my God I was hoping you weren't going to bring it up. Yeah I think this will help.

[01:19:46]

We're going to put the pressure on the Australian government. Yeah, 100%. So Jordan Mailata was born in has lived in Australia. Only country outside of coming to the United States. Yes. Accurately saying this. Yes, but is not an Australian citizen. Right. Because Australia does not have naturalized citizenship. In other words, if you're born in Australia, you do not automatically get citizenship as a Chilean. So you born and grew up there for the first 20 years of your life and you still are not Australian. You're also not American. The only citizenship you have in the world is New Zealand. Because one of your parents is a New Zealander.

[01:20:25]

Yes, New Zealand citizen. So I got it by descent because my parents are New Zealand citizens. Yes. But yeah, well that is true. So technically, technically speaking, I'm a Kiwi crazy, but I identify as an Aussie. I mean, that's all I do. It's all I knew. So it's like. Help me out here. Help me out here. Okay, but how.

[01:20:47]

Many more people in Australia are watching football and how much loved you are you recognise in Australia as being an NFL player?

[01:20:57]

I would say a good chunk now. Definitely have gotten behind watching the sport. I've been the biggest killer is the time difference because guys are people have to week 12 hour difference, right? Like depending on for three, 3 a.m. or 4 a.m.. Yeah. Okay. So like yeah. See you. Right. Yep. All right.

[01:21:13]

Well.

[01:21:15]

Yeah. What are we going to do to.

[01:21:16]

Get my man in Australia in grief.

[01:21:18]

To make.

[01:21:18]

This happen?

[01:21:20]

He's only representing some of the beautiful things that have happened in your country. Represents Australia to the fullest as an unbelievable human being and rock star athlete. I mean.

[01:21:32]

What else does a guy have to do?

[01:21:34]

Exactly. He's born the only.

[01:21:36]

Place has ever lived. I think we should make this happen. Who? We got to talk to you. Who's the. I'll show you who's the Australian prime minister. Don't get this.

[01:21:43]

And that's probably why I don't have my sister.

[01:21:46]

Jason.

[01:21:47]

Stop asking.

[01:21:48]

Questions, Jason.

[01:21:50]

Stop fucking asking questions. And that's probably why I don't know. No, I know it. Albanese. Albanese? Yes.

[01:21:56]

Nice shot.

[01:21:58]

The same guy. This is the same guy that called me the night before the Super Bowl and was like, I just want to say congratulations and wish you all the best out of the next morning I get up, it's all over. Fucking face. Instagram. Facebook. Motherfucker was recording on his end. Oh, snap. They didn't even tell me that shit. I was like, oh my God, it's a good politician, right? There was like a good politician move right there.

[01:22:18]

Yeah, yeah. Well, let's, let's let's keep this thing moving in one of my favorite segments, when we have a guest, it's called we got to Ask, but you don't have to answer. You could literally tell us to fuck off jumping straight into it. Jason. You want to jump into it?

[01:22:31]

Sure.

[01:22:31]

Spoiler alert you were on The Masked Singer. Okay. As thingamabob. How the hell did this come about?

[01:22:42]

They reached out to my agency. Okay. Yep. And I guess the casting director, somebody on the casting directing team, was an Eagles fan, and they knew that I could sing. Yeah. And that's they reached out to my agency and they reached out to me.

[01:22:59]

Are you upset that you were not chosen as should you have won? Were there politics involved in the mess?

[01:23:08]

Singer yes, I want to. I'm going to fucking answer that one.

[01:23:13]

Yes.

[01:23:14]

Yes, absolutely. Okay. I don't think I should have won it. Yeah, I definitely should have gone further. A lot further than I did. Yeah. All right. But I had a great time on the show. That was.

[01:23:24]

Great. Nice, man. How many toes do you have. Because AJ Brown says you have 12.

[01:23:28]

Well this is the fucking set I had eight.

[01:23:32]

What?

[01:23:33]

I don't know how he is getting 12.

[01:23:34]

That's that's might be the more confusing thing. You don't have extra toes. You just have two of your toes that are combined. Yes.

[01:23:41]

So think of this as my foot. These two are combined, but they're like fully they're fully stuck.

[01:23:47]

What the fuck?

[01:23:48]

So yeah.

[01:23:49]

Dude, you're a different.

[01:23:49]

Species and.

[01:23:50]

You're not.

[01:23:51]

Even know what to call that tone. But Toronto and that that toe you bring together like that. This is how.

[01:23:56]

Evolution happens, folks. Your toes start to get webbed. You get six, nine, £380, 74.

[01:24:02]

74, 74 with.

[01:24:04]

15% body fat.

[01:24:07]

You know.

[01:24:08]

Jesus, if you were a water animal sooner, I mean, your kids might have this many webbed.

[01:24:16]

Fucking.

[01:24:17]

I'm not. I don't want them to go through that kind of life that I did. Okay. That was a shame to show it off my toes.

[01:24:23]

Yeah, yeah.

[01:24:23]

He would be.

[01:24:24]

Proud. Yeah.

[01:24:25]

Well, young me used to hide my toes from people. And when people say, does it hurt? I would say, yeah. When you stare.

[01:24:32]

When you stand, motherfucker. Like, stop staring at my toes. Right.

[01:24:36]

Come on. It's just toes. They're stuck together. They're nothing. There's nothing else. There's nothing to see here.

[01:24:41]

Yeah. And.

[01:24:46]

So I knew I knew that person was privileged because they had five fucking toes. The way they looked at me.

[01:24:52]

Probably how Nick felt when he was in the shower growing up.

[01:24:55]

Nick Foles.

[01:24:58]

Stop staring.

[01:24:59]

All right, here we go.

[01:25:05]

Stop staring.

[01:25:11]

This guy's a psycho man. All right. Well Jason's birthday's this week. What should I get him? Jason's a big birthday guy in the locker room or what? Does he let everybody know it's his birthday? He just walks in with his birthday suit on.

[01:25:24]

No, man. He. It's whatever. Actually, all I know. Okay? It's not called out yet. Yeah. So there's still a couple more weeks with the sandals that he's rocking. So it's whatever he likes to wear. And the sandals, it could be jeans or sandals or shorts or sandals or pants and sandals.

[01:25:41]

With the sandals.

[01:25:42]

But the sandals are in for now. Yeah. For now.

[01:25:45]

Nice. I'm going to get some jeans sent to the facility so he never has to rely on Kylie to bring jeans anywhere.

[01:25:51]

You just go there.

[01:25:52]

It'd be great.

[01:25:53]

We talked about this on a recent episode. Flag football is coming to the Olympics in 2028. Are there any countries that are going to challenge the US for the gold? Do you think? Australia.

[01:26:07]

Definitely not Australia. No, definitely not Australia. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Play football. All right. Maybe there might be the underdog.

[01:26:16]

Do you think they're the biggest competition?

[01:26:20]

But Samoa?

[01:26:22]

I don't know, maybe I might. I might have to. I might have to find that Samoan team. I don't think there is a Samoan team, but.

[01:26:29]

We should be looking. Well, I mean, first of all, it's not the Olympics. Quite a ways away. But there's a lot of Samoans in the NFL now.

[01:26:38]

I mean, there's been a lot of Samoans in the NFL.

[01:26:40]

Yeah, there's always been. There's always been. Oh, now that I learned that, my time here. All right.

[01:26:46]

If it wasn't already clear, we read your Wikipedia page and it says your favorite band is Bon Jovi. Yes.

[01:26:56]

Stop it.

[01:26:57]

Come on now.

[01:26:58]

Stop it.

[01:26:59]

Come on now. Definitely not living on a prayer. But I grew up like Bon Jovi. Putting on a prayer. It's just overplayed. And it's not. It's not my favorite Bon Jovi song. Yeah.

[01:27:09]

What's your favorite Bon Jovi song?

[01:27:13]

Let's go to Google and see.

[01:27:17]

My favorite band of all time.

[01:27:18]

Favorite band over time. Let's top five. Um, probably. Um. See, now I'm going to say the next overplayed song, which is like you Give Love a bad name, but yeah.

[01:27:33]

It's Bon Jovi. There's been playing it for fucking, what, 40 years now? 30 years now. Like everything feels like it's overplayed at this point. It's just a classic.

[01:27:41]

And just they don't play like a lot of the songs that I listen to like. Welcome to wherever you are. Have you heard that one?

[01:27:50]

Possibly. Possibly. I'm not good with song title.

[01:27:53]

Yeah. So this is. Yeah. If you play, you got it going on.

[01:27:56]

We got it going on. We got. Runaway is probably from the first album. Think she's a little runaway? Did you do.

[01:28:06]

De de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de.

[01:28:10]

De. Sounds like a banger.

[01:28:11]

Who is the strongest Eagles player right now? We are. Jason. Jason was asked who the strongest was and he said, you know what? Oh no, I'm sorry.

[01:28:21]

You say it's got.

[01:28:23]

To be landing.

[01:28:23]

It was. Who was this? I was asking direct question. I was asked, who is the strongest Jordan between you? Jordan Davis, clearly you write.

[01:28:33]

I mean. Davis. Yeah. Depends on the workout. I'm being. I'm being civil. I'm being fair enough.

[01:28:39]

Politically correct. And Jason, again, is trying to make you fucking choose between you and somebody you really respect.

[01:28:48]

What was your dumbbell bench press this year?

[01:28:52]

This year? Yeah.

[01:28:53]

What did you feel on each arm?

[01:28:55]

200.

[01:28:56]

Shut the fuck up.

[01:28:57]

I swear, dude. For reps.

[01:29:01]

This isn't even like a max.

[01:29:02]

You should just like, randomly just do it. Strongest man competition just to see. I couldn't do.

[01:29:07]

That. Like, I'm humble enough to know that I could not last with those big dogs. Because I have a mate who's a a strong man. Oh, yeah. Eddie.

[01:29:14]

Yeah. After Jake Elliot made the game winning field goal against the commanders earlier this season, you lifted him up in celebration. Jake has since joked it was scary to be lifted by you. Should we double down and make this a thing? You lift Jake Elliot as high as you possibly can any time he nails a game winner. I think it should happen.

[01:29:37]

I think I think we should do that. It's kind of like the Lion King moment. Simba and I'll be Rafi.

[01:29:45]

Rafi. Underrated character.

[01:29:47]

Very underrated.

[01:29:49]

I know.

[01:29:51]

Jake already made the mistake once by trying to shut down the Chicken Little nickname.

[01:29:56]

Yeah, you can't deny.

[01:29:57]

It.

[01:29:58]

You can't? You like once.

[01:29:59]

You deny it.

[01:30:00]

It's in. It's in.

[01:30:04]

You just have to. It's official. You have to line beer like it's a great nickname.

[01:30:06]

Oh, man. Love that. That's so.

[01:30:08]

Funny. That's what you have to do.

[01:30:10]

You literally have to pretend that you love it. And then hopefully it goes away at all.

[01:30:14]

Do you not understand how the rules of nicknames. The more you hate this, the more it will come where it sticks.

[01:30:22]

I've always I've always given Jason shit about, you know, there being no plays designed for how athletic Jason is and the fact that he averaged nine yards a pop in high school when he carried the football like a dog. Has there ever been a play dialed up for you, or has there ever been a play like thought like, oh yeah, we need to get like fucking the Refrigerator Perry. Just like get Jordan on a like fullback dive or some shit.

[01:30:45]

They had.

[01:30:46]

One.

[01:30:47]

One was in with Doug. It was. It was close to getting called actually did.

[01:30:51]

Sirianni just doesn't want to get creative.

[01:30:53]

I did, and then they were like, I revamped. So we ran the play on scout team. It was actually our play, and they wanted to see if I could run the round and and just, you know, if you see it, there was actually a pass. It was a pass. We had to.

[01:31:09]

Run in for a little bit too.

[01:31:11]

I reported in and threw it. I was wide open. I mean, I pretty sure I was, I was wide open. I caught the ball touchdown, ran it again because was DC at the time, Jim Schwartz. He was fucking pissed that I scored a touchdown on them. He was pissed he run it again I wasn't open.

[01:31:32]

Oh yeah.

[01:31:33]

Shocker. Second time you running defense covers it. I was like, damn. Okay well I think we need to bring this. We need to get you one. You're too skilled. I like you more as a running back though.

[01:31:42]

It's also most of those plays for the for the linemen. You typically come to the extra lineman. You know what I mean? Like we like Jordan at tackle. Jordan is rugged. He helps to tackle. You know what I mean.

[01:31:54]

Like stay in your lane. Stay in your lane. It's safe. It's safe. They're safe.

[01:32:00]

Usually the extra lineman when you're not starting or you're you're kind of, you know, you can be a force to be reckoned with and get in the game for, for a play or a short yardage play. That's when they usually use those guys. But I'm still on board. Sirianni. Get creative handed off to Jason. Jason throw a fade to Jordan. Oh, that'd be Jason can throw. You did.

[01:32:20]

Play QB.

[01:32:21]

You play QB for a fucking half and it was not good. I was there, I was handing him water and I was like, dude, you fucking suck right now. You need to go back to the front and back.

[01:32:35]

That's basically what.

[01:32:35]

I was doing anyways. All right, here we go. The the National Rugby League is coming to Vegas in March. Should we all go out to the show? Definitely.

[01:32:44]

Yeah, definitely go out. Yeah. They need the money. It's official. We're doing.

[01:32:47]

It. We're doing it.

[01:32:50]

I need the money. I need all.

[01:32:51]

The money out there.

[01:32:52]

Look back. What is the highest paid National Rugby League player?

[01:32:58]

They probably get the highest paid. They probably go for like. A million and a half per season. Like per season. Like the top guy.

[01:33:07]

So the NFL thing panned out.

[01:33:13]

Piranha. All right. What a sick season you are.

[01:33:18]

Also, the World Cup just got finished. Yeah, yeah, that was crazy. Your your citizenship country lost.

[01:33:24]

Yeah, I know, at one point. Yeah. All good.

[01:33:27]

I actually kind of wore this hat because it looked like it was a Springbok.

[01:33:32]

He's a psycho springbok. But I hate this guy. He's a psycho. And now I am.

[01:33:38]

In all black.

[01:33:39]

All right. Now.

[01:33:40]

Oh, man. Hey, genius. Play by you. That's, like 400 IQ level right there. This guy set me up. Let's go.

[01:33:48]

99.

[01:33:49]

I'll be honest, I'm a Willoughby fan. Just because I identify as an Aussie. Yeah. All right. Very nice. So. So I mean, you know, I grew up with my three older siblings, are born in New Zealand though, so. Okay, watching the Bledisloe Cup was awesome and fun because me and my younger brother were born in Australia. So we supported the Wallabies and then my three older siblings were All Blacks fans because they were born in New Zealand.

[01:34:13]

And the All Blacks are just. That's a fun team. I mean, that's like the Yankees of rugby. All right, before we get to the stamp of the week, we talked about this. It's Halloween week Halloween has since passed. This is going to be coming on Friday. You. Spend $1,000.

[01:34:29]

$1,000.

[01:34:30]

Shipping over Australian candy. Yes. To the United States. Yes. You swear that I'll show you in? Candy is better than American candy. 1,000% we got. We're going to try some of this candy out.

[01:34:43]

What do we got?

[01:34:45]

No way.

[01:34:47]

We got. This is kind of like a got a mars pods.

[01:34:50]

Mars pods.

[01:34:51]

Mars.

[01:34:52]

Oh.

[01:34:52]

I'm sorry. Mars. No. You're good, you're good.

[01:34:55]

You're good, you're good.

[01:34:56]

I've never heard of pods, though.

[01:34:57]

Okay. Have you ever heard of pods?

[01:34:59]

It's probably just Mars bars in a little mini sized caramel crater. It's a mars bar.

[01:35:06]

Yeah, but it's a pod.

[01:35:07]

Here you go, sir.

[01:35:08]

It's just a fun size.

[01:35:10]

You can.

[01:35:11]

Do this.

[01:35:12]

Too.

[01:35:12]

I just showing it.

[01:35:13]

Drawing it, drawing it.

[01:35:14]

Oh my.

[01:35:15]

Gosh.

[01:35:17]

Trevor, I wish I sent you something so you can. So we can get your review as well. I'm so sorry. Well, this is different.

[01:35:22]

Than a mars because this almost has, like, a.

[01:35:24]

It's like a wafer. It's a wafer.

[01:35:27]

It's a wafer. Oh, it's a Kit-Kat.

[01:35:29]

No, dude.

[01:35:30]

That's what you were saying was going to make Kit-Kat look like shit.

[01:35:33]

This is what is going to make Kit Kat KitKat in America. Looks like shit that's just kickin. So this is. Have you ever heard of Cadbury? Yeah.

[01:35:43]

Of course.

[01:35:44]

So get Cadbury eggs. But this is their version of KitKat. This is fairly new. I didn't grow up with this, but I had it when I went home, and it is amazing.

[01:35:53]

It's like a Willy Wonka bar, if you ask me.

[01:35:55]

Again, this is a.

[01:35:58]

Little KitKat.

[01:36:00]

Two.

[01:36:02]

Two for two.

[01:36:04]

Damn good.

[01:36:05]

Is it better than KitKat? You don't have to be so patriotic. You can't admit. Oh, I'll.

[01:36:09]

Admit I'm patriotic. But I'm fair.

[01:36:15]

He went in for seconds. They're very.

[01:36:17]

Good. They're very good. I think I'm just so used to the Kit-Kat flavour. What? Yeah.

[01:36:21]

The chocolate quality is so much better.

[01:36:23]

That's what Europeans say.

[01:36:28]

All right, so you got it going. You going in for the Milky Way?

[01:36:31]

I'm not going. That's very good. I will admit, this is extremely good. I think I'm just, like, so psychologically ingrained in what it tastes like that it's tasting a little bit off. Okay. But the more I eat of it, it's tasting better and better. Really good. Yeah.

[01:36:44]

Okay. I definitely should have got, like, I definitely should have got, like, a normal Kit Kat.

[01:36:48]

But oh, so then.

[01:36:50]

They didn't have it. I don't think they had it on the site. So. So this is, this is just like a, a white chocolate Kit Kat.

[01:36:57]

Dude, that's my fucking jam right there. I like that way more. Yeah, I like that way more than just a regular chocolate.

[01:37:04]

I love white chocolate. It's good. All righty. Good.

[01:37:11]

I'm not a white chocolate fan. That's really good.

[01:37:14]

You have Maltesers. Do you? Have you ever seen that? What are those? Not milk duds is like another. Another brand. You guys have a version of this here. These are Maltesers.

[01:37:24]

And. Oh yeah, I've had Maltesers.

[01:37:26]

Yeah I do like you guys. Yeah. They're like malt balls. I don't know what the brand is here, but it's absolutely terrible. And these.

[01:37:35]

Whoppers.

[01:37:36]

Wallpapers nice Jason.

[01:37:37]

Whoppers. All right Jase you got you got to try 1,000%. And if they aren't then you can slap me.

[01:37:45]

Have you ever had a nerd cluster.

[01:37:48]

Is that it?

[01:37:49]

They look terrible. Let's go. Let's fucking. Welcome to.

[01:37:52]

Jordan.

[01:37:52]

This look terrible, bro. Oh, look.

[01:37:55]

These are terrible. That's what you said.

[01:37:58]

No gummy clusters. And they're tiny. Actually. Really good.

[01:38:05]

I'm sorry, I judge.

[01:38:06]

I'm sorry.

[01:38:07]

You baby. That's one for America. There we go.

[01:38:09]

That's really good.

[01:38:11]

1,000% better than whoppers. Yeah.

[01:38:13]

Wait 1,000%. Damn it. That's three for fucking Australia. Fuck!

[01:38:17]

Would you like something like a savoury snack now?

[01:38:20]

Sure.

[01:38:21]

So this is a this is shapes. This is one of our number one cracker brands back home. I shouldn't even call it cracker cracker bands because. It's really good. This Vegemite and cheese.

[01:38:33]

I see the word Vegemite and I'm very skeptical. I never had I ordered.

[01:38:36]

It just for you so you can try it. And so is.

[01:38:38]

That like spam.

[01:38:39]

Mode?

[01:38:40]

What is Vegemite?

[01:38:43]

It is. I want to say it's got zinc in it, and it's got dry yeast extract. And it's basically the leftovers of what they, when they brew be. It's the leftovers of what they have in the bottom.

[01:38:58]

This sounds like fucking me.

[01:39:00]

I'm an easy to to I don't know. Correct me.

[01:39:03]

Eat this. Yes.

[01:39:04]

Sorry. This is not this is not actual Vegemite though. What do you think of it? I probably butchered that. That whole.

[01:39:12]

I don't know what Vegemite tastes like. If this tastes like Vegemite, does this taste like bosom mate?

[01:39:17]

Yes. The Vegemite that you. It tastes like Vegemite. If you don't put it on like jam, you're supposed to just put a thin layer.

[01:39:24]

I'm not gonna lie. These are good. These are very good.

[01:39:27]

Oh, are they Cheez-Its?

[01:39:29]

It's kind of got, like, a cheesy, a little bit of cheesiness to it. Saltiness. Time out. What happened to the coconut things?

[01:39:40]

I bought him, I already got started. I couldn't I already got started on these. These are called Lamingtons and they're one of my favorite bakery items to get back home. But they sell them at the grocery store. And these are basically like sponge cakes that have been dipped in chocolate and then coated with coated with coconut. And I introduced these to the boys yesterday and they all agreed, this is amazing.

[01:40:05]

They're really good.

[01:40:06]

It's called a lamington.

[01:40:08]

I'm usually not a fan of coconut flavoured things, but there's something about this.

[01:40:11]

It's very like an almond Joy.

[01:40:13]

Don't ever say that.

[01:40:14]

No, no, I hate almond Joy. Almond Joy.

[01:40:16]

Is terrible.

[01:40:17]

I think.

[01:40:18]

And I love coconut. I don't know.

[01:40:20]

How. It's almost like a hostess. Like it's got that sponginess of the texture. Like it's like a very airy, spongy cake. It's like with chocolate and fluffy.

[01:40:30]

Coconut around it. Yeah.

[01:40:31]

It's good.

[01:40:32]

But there's a stable back home. I mean, I.

[01:40:35]

Love it, I'm in on everything but that Vegemite. I probably won't try that shit.

[01:40:38]

Have you ever had a Reese's?

[01:40:39]

Yeah, that's for sure.

[01:40:41]

My Snickers. All right, let's move on to stamp of the week, man. Handing out new heights. Stamp of the week is sponsored by State Farm. Talk to a State Farm agent today to learn how you can bundle and save with the personal price plan. Like a good neighbor. State farm is there. Jordan, our guest as our guest. You get to do the honors of giving out the stamp. As this goes, it can be a player. It can be anybody that's in this world taking their game to new heights. So yeah, I'll give it to you, man. Take it away. Who do you got for us? Anybody? Do you need some time with this? Have you. Did Jason prep you for this.

[01:41:19]

I'm assuming? No. Definitely not. Prep me for this.

[01:41:21]

All right. Perfect. He could be a football player. Somebody on your team. Somebody just in this world that you see doing great things. You Vegemite. It could be. It can be.

[01:41:29]

Vegemite can't be.

[01:41:31]

Taking its new heights to America and Jason's stomach. I'm just going.

[01:41:35]

To do easy one AJ Brown with a game that he just I.

[01:41:38]

Mean yeah.

[01:41:38]

That's probably the worst like AJ Brown probably the stamp of the week stamp of the.

[01:41:42]

Week. The past eight weeks.

[01:41:44]

You know what I mean. Several weeks.

[01:41:46]

It's a safe call stamp.

[01:41:47]

Of the weeks. It is definitely a safe call. But definitely I mean God the guy went out there and you like he's got to break the record like, you know, trying to break the record he's got there. He's got to play a game. We've got a winning game. And also trying to accomplish that feat. And yeah, probably be the stamp of the week. All right.

[01:42:04]

Shout out to AJ.

[01:42:06]

For the week.

[01:42:07]

Congrats AJ congrats Vegemite. Congrats Jordan. Thanks for coming dude dude.
