What's your dream pet?

[00:00:01]

Tiger.

[00:00:02]

Tiger? You're gonna mike tyson it. What kind of tiger? A bangle.

[00:00:05]

Bangle?

[00:00:06]

Bangle? Tiger?

[00:00:07]

Bangle. Siberian Tiger. The big one. Those are biggest, baddest.

[00:00:11]

Yeah.

[00:00:11]

I want a good, like, roar.

[00:00:13]

Like Bello, like, well, if you want the loud roar, you go lion. Right?

[00:00:17]

I remember hearing a tiger when I was a kid.

[00:00:19]

Roar is more like a lion. A tiger is more like a. You're a big cat guy.

[00:00:25]

I'm a fucking tiger, man. Welcome back to new heights, ladies and gentlemen, presented by wave sports and entertainment and brought to you by the all new Experian smart money debit card.

[00:00:41]

Heyo.

[00:00:42]

The debit card that builds credit without the debt.

[00:00:44]

No way.

[00:00:45]

You guys should look into that. It's a good way to build your.

[00:00:48]

Credit without having to rack up a bunch of debt that could bury you. Makes a lot of sense.

[00:00:54]

Debt with a b in it.

[00:00:56]

Really wish this existed when I didn't have any credit history.

[00:00:59]

New episodes drop every Wednesday during the NFL season. Subscribe on YouTube and wherever you get your podcast and follow the show on all social media at new heights. Show with one. Oh, and while you're at it, check out our official fan club@newhightshow.com. With one s as well. Jason, tell the people what the episode is going to be all about.

[00:01:18]

We got another great episode. As you guys know, some big things happened this past weekend. We're going to recap conference championship games, highlighting, of course, the Chiefs going back to the Super bowl for the fourth time in five years, which is remarkable. We'll also shout out some fan mentions and talk about all the rest of the biggest storylines around the league, including some big coaching hires in the ranks. But before we get to all that, we're going to get to the newest of new. That's right, little new. All right.

[00:01:52]

We reached 2 million YouTube subscribers. Holy canoli, everybody. The new Heights YouTube channel has officially passed the 2 million subscriber mark after last week's episode. Shout out to all the 92 percenters and everybody that is just now joining us. Thank you for joining us on this fun ride where we have no idea what's going on. We also are back to being number one podcast across all categories in both the US and in Canada. So again, I don't know how we're rigging this fucking system here, but we really appreciate whoever's rigging it.

[00:02:26]

It's part of the NFL script.

[00:02:27]

There you go. No, I was in on the script until you guys lost.

[00:02:32]

Yeah, I mean, script sucks. But happy. I'm happy for you guys.

[00:02:38]

Thanks, man.

[00:02:39]

The script did Philadelphia dirty.

[00:02:43]

That ain't right. Apple Podcast, United States of America. All podcasts. I guess we're at the number one of the charts. We're also number one in sports podcasts in a bunch of other countries, which is fucking mind blowing to me that we're number one in fucking. There's no soccer podcast down there.

[00:03:02]

We're number one in Mexico, Peru.

[00:03:05]

Peru, the Philippines, Chile, Croatia.

[00:03:09]

This has got to be like swifties, right?

[00:03:11]

Can't be.

[00:03:12]

They're not listening to this podcast for football stuff, right? Yeah.

[00:03:14]

That's crazy. Thank you to all the 92 percenters outside of the continental us. How about that?

[00:03:20]

This is cool.

[00:03:21]

Pretty fucking dope, man. Keep tuning in and we'll keep talking football, I guess.

[00:03:27]

Yeah, I mean, we're just going to keep doing what we're doing. So if you like it, keep listening. All right. New heights bracket update.

[00:03:33]

How about it?

[00:03:35]

And in bracket related, new news. Voting for the sweet 16 in our best NFL team named bracket officially has closed. It closed a while ago. I think it closed over the weekend. We got over 500,000 votes in this round, which is pretty remarkable. People are into it.

[00:03:50]

You are such a fucking cheater, by the way.

[00:03:53]

I'm a cheater?

[00:03:54]

You're the biggest vote skewer I've ever seen.

[00:03:58]

What are you talking about? What am I doing?

[00:04:00]

You hit up guys on certain teams and ask them to promote this.

[00:04:05]

I'm just trying to get voter turnout all I want. No, you're trying to more people to.

[00:04:09]

Vote, fan bases to catch wave so that you're more right. This has nothing to do with the fairness of the entire bracket, Travis. This has everything to do with you proving your point. So you're making sure you hit up big names on certain fan bases to try and promote their team.

[00:04:31]

Are you done?

[00:04:32]

This is just absolutely ridiculous.

[00:04:34]

This is just good, old fashioned gerrymandering politics. Completely legal, 100%, in a free and fair election.

[00:04:39]

This is how I know you're going to be a president one day, and I'm going to be there, and I'm going to crawl under the oval desk again. I swear, once you're president, dude, I'm fucking up the whole White House. I'm in there. I'm in the walls. You can't keep me out of there, dude. They're going to keep me in there. I can't wait.

[00:05:00]

Former Bronco Mark Schleret, the stank, and the Broncos official Twitter account both tried to sway the vote by getting the Broncos involved. But the Chiefs kingdom prevailed again. They made up a lot of ground. It was an impressive effort by Broncos country. They were riding for sure, but they didn't ride far.

[00:05:19]

Broncos, man, that's a sweet name, dude. It is a great. It's a very solid name and it flows.

[00:05:25]

There is now officially only four perfect brackets left of the total 36,000 entries. So it is starting to dwindle down. It'll be really interesting in the elite eight coming up this week with who makes it out of that because it's starting to get real competitive. Shout out to the 92 percenters for continuing to make your voices heard and to make sure continuing to prove my point, baby, has as little bias as possible. Thank you so much. We, meanwhile, get to the bottom of this.

[00:05:55]

Every single vote, you guys. Ridiculous.

[00:05:58]

I just want voter turnout.

[00:05:59]

Keep submitting those. Well, I guess you can't submit it anymore. I was going to try and close up that bracket update.

[00:06:05]

Yeah, you can't submit the brackets, but you can vote.

[00:06:07]

You'll be able to vote on the bracket over this weekend and keep this thing going. Be some fun times. Let's get some fan mentions of the right now.

[00:06:17]

Beat you to it. Son of a book.

[00:06:19]

This week, our mentions were filled with people still reacting to Jason's time in Buffalo. What a magical, magical time it was. I got a bunch of requests from me saying that I would love to see or get a painting of this picture of you. I would love to.

[00:06:36]

There's a lot of paintings that people were throwing out there.

[00:06:38]

Yeah, I think the request was, yeah, we'll see. We shall see. But our first mention or fan mention is from Princess Kayana herself. That's right. Kylie Kelsey, who commented on the video of Jason taking or talking about the shirtlessness. You were in quotes saying, everybody knows this famous quote, I'm not asking for permission.

[00:06:59]

I'm doing this.

[00:07:01]

And the exact quote I will say when I'm grabbing the keys to go get a cat is Kylie's reply. Because we know how much of a cat lover you are.

[00:07:12]

Oh, man. Big fan.

[00:07:13]

Huge fan. Outdoor cats. Not indoor. Only outdoor, domestic cats are.

[00:07:18]

Listen, I respect what a cat can do in nature. It's a ferocious hunting animal.

[00:07:25]

I think you respect it because we.

[00:07:28]

Had a cat growing up, which that's what Flash was.

[00:07:30]

An outdoor cat.

[00:07:31]

I once saw Flash kill a bird mid flight. Flash was impressive.

[00:07:35]

Isn't it just electric?

[00:07:36]

It is. And that's what I'm saying. I expect those kind of cats. I don't want one wandering like these. Rag doll. I've learned so much about cats over the last week. People sending, oh, you guys should get a rag doll. You should get this, you should get a tabby and all these. I don't even know what the heck. I didn't even know there were cat breeds. I didn't know that was the whole thing.

[00:07:54]

Yeah, they're like dogs.

[00:07:55]

They have different breeds. Apparently, ragdoll, according to everybody, is the dog of cats. They just cuddle up next to know. I don't know if they drink out of the toilet bowl, but apparently they're just like dogs. But yeah, Kai tweeted this or Instagram this, whatever the heck that.

[00:08:15]

Yeah, Instagram comment.

[00:08:16]

Immediately, I googled how to lose a cat shit, but nothing came up. The only thing that came up was like, oh, are you sad you just lost a cat? I'm like, no, I need to lose a cat. I'm not worried about losing it. I want to lose it. And I was surprised that there was nowhere to research good ways to accidentally lose a cat, because if a cat does show up, it will find its way off our property in some way. But I don't know quite how to.

[00:08:44]

Get it done unless it's an outdoor cat. You said you appreciate an outdoor do.

[00:08:50]

I do. But I feel like knowing Kylie, it's going to find its way indoors.

[00:08:57]

Just keep your house rodent free, dude.

[00:08:59]

If we can set those boundaries. But I feel like it's not going to happen. It's going to find its way.

[00:09:03]

Two irish wolfhounds that you keep in and out of the house. They're both in and out.

[00:09:08]

Yeah, of course.

[00:09:10]

So why not just add one more? That's going to take care of all.

[00:09:12]

The rodents because it's not going to happen. The kids are going to want it up in their bedroom. There's going to be cat stuff all over the place. Which one is it, females or males? If they pee? I just remember going in certain guys houses growing up that had cats, and.

[00:09:30]

You would smell my nostril right now.

[00:09:32]

Yes. You know what I'm talking about. You could just smell that urine smell and I'm out. There's nothing about.

[00:09:38]

That's why they make kitty litter.

[00:09:40]

Yeah, I know, but I was in houses. I think it's a thing, and I'm out on the cats.

[00:09:46]

If you were to get a cat.

[00:09:48]

Yeah.

[00:09:48]

I think we should give it to the 92 percenters to name the cat.

[00:09:54]

We're not playing.

[00:09:55]

So 92 percenters, let's have a cat bracket. Name I want to hear all your best cat names.

[00:10:06]

Listen, if you guys are okay with a cat getting lost after you've already named it, go ahead and participate. This thing is not making it far. Next up, it appears that dad has learned how to make memes. This past week, he showed a bunch of memes on Facebook, including these, that we're about to show you right now.

[00:10:24]

And they are all, do you think he's making these?

[00:10:26]

There's no chance.

[00:10:28]

I'm pretty sure he's just either screenshotting it or getting it sent to him sporadically. There's no way he could make these.

[00:10:35]

Dad does not have this level of computer savviness, which is surprising because he's spending time on.

[00:10:41]

He's at every up to date computer. Yes, the 90s had the original Macintosh.

[00:10:49]

Am so positive that he didn't create.

[00:10:52]

Any of these, there's no way.

[00:10:54]

But it is an honor to finally make Papa Kelsey's. I've played in the league for 13 years.

[00:11:00]

Been on his IG.

[00:11:02]

Yeah, apparently. Listen, kids, if you want to make your dad proud of you, take your shirt off, drink a beer, and scream at the top of your lungs. Apparently, that's what does it.

[00:11:12]

That's my boy. That's my boy. So the first one is if aliens came down from outer space and said, take us to your leader. This is the guy. Yeah. And no better picture proves that that's the guy.

[00:11:28]

Unfortunately, this is actually probably a good representation of the human race. I don't know that that's the one that we want to have represent us, but if we're looking for an accurate representation, that's probably good.

[00:11:37]

What are they doing down there, this guy?

[00:11:40]

These guys are obese, alcoholics, and stupid. How did they amass so much power? Look at the Dolphins. Even smarter than this guy.

[00:11:56]

Well, the second one dad put out was Jason fighting for Scotland's freedom in Braveheart.

[00:12:04]

He'll never take our freedom.

[00:12:08]

That's pretty good.

[00:12:09]

Who doesn't love a good William Wallace? William Wallace. When's the last time you seen Braveheart?

[00:12:16]

Never, dude.

[00:12:17]

Watch it.

[00:12:17]

I remember seeing it a little bit when we were kids because dad fucking loved that.

[00:12:22]

It's. He did love it. And telling you watch it as an adult, you'll get why he loved it. It's an electric movie.

[00:12:27]

All right, well, I'm in.

[00:12:29]

All right. That's all I got to say about that. Thanks, dad. Yeah. Should we add Papa Kelsey to the new heights social team?

[00:12:35]

Yeah, him and Jets Jake and team up with them. Collab posts. Let's get some collab posts going with big Ed.

[00:12:41]

Good luck, Jets. Jake, he's going to have a lot of bad ideas. You're going to have to weather the storm on that one.

[00:12:46]

Next up, it looks like Jason's also inspired a new funko pop. Hey, from at the official on on Twitter. Do you feel this electric atmosphere? How could you react if you released this pop? How would you react if we could release this pop? Yeah, dude. I mean, Funko shaved in the chest, got the sweatpants, the tims, the bud light, it looks like. And then you got a Rolex hat on, which is pretty sweet.

[00:13:20]

Talked to Funko pop, and they agreed to do a charitable thing. It feels weird, like, kind of like having this whole situation because it was just something that kind of happened organically. It feels weird to kind of have.

[00:13:30]

Shirts and everything made try and profit over.

[00:13:33]

Yeah, yeah. But I feel like the way that it makes sense is we have agreed with funko pop and we're going to be releasing a shirt later in the week where portions of the proceeds will go to Patricia Allen fund at O'Shea Children's Hospital out of Buffalo. Because, I mean, you got to repay the people that put me in this.

[00:13:53]

You got to, man.

[00:13:54]

The only reason this happened, and people were like, why didn't you do this this past week? Why wasn't your shirt off? You asked me that.

[00:13:59]

I'm like mafia, man.

[00:14:00]

That was the situation that happened because of what they did to me, what we did to each other. I get it. It was a little bit outlandish. I don't know why it happened. It just felt right. I don't know. That's all I can say. It just felt like the right thing to do.

[00:14:15]

There's something in that fucking water up there, man.

[00:14:18]

We're going to pay back to the people that caused this.

[00:14:22]

That's dope. Shout out to fogo as well as.

[00:14:24]

Travis Kelsey, of course, scoring a touchdown.

[00:14:26]

Not right now. Let's talk about our next sponsor. Prize picks. That's right, baby. Back on the prize picks. Trying, baby. Prize picks is America's number one fantasy sports app. With over 3 million members and with.

[00:14:41]

The big game right around the corner, prize picks is the easiest and most exciting way to turn every game changing moment into 100 x your money. That's right. With as little as four correct picks, you can turn $10 into 1000.

[00:14:54]

Wow. I like those.

[00:14:55]

That's pretty nice.

[00:14:56]

Plus, you want to play alongside some of prize pick's favorite players, like rapper Meek Mill and comedian Andrew Schultz, one of my favorite comedians out right now. You can now find community plays under the promos tab of the app to view the entries from some of the biggest names in the prize picks community.

[00:15:14]

And now for this portion of the ad read label personal experience to be read by talent outside of Travis and Jayz kills him because we are active NFL players.

[00:15:21]

Can't do it, cannot participate.

[00:15:22]

That's right.

[00:15:22]

Jason, you just said you're not retiring.

[00:15:24]

I didn't say that at all. But you know who can participate? Our intern. That's right. Come on in here, Brandon.

[00:15:30]

Come on in. Come on down.

[00:15:32]

There he is.

[00:15:33]

Is it. I'm out of here. Is it messed up I'm not one of the biggest names in the community? Yeah, the hell am I not in there? All right, bye, guys.

[00:15:41]

Thank you, Brandon.

[00:15:41]

Bye. All right, four quick picks right now before the big game. Price picks is running a special on Patrick Mahomes. All he needs is half a yard and you win. I think he might be good for it. A couple of the picks I like stick with playoff Trav. Take Trav. Receiving yards. I would also look at Christmas Caffrey for touchdowns. The man has been automatic in the playoffs. That's all I've got. I'm gone. All right, well, hopefully our intern did you guys right, and he's really not an intern. I hope you guys know that. Right? And if you want to start making some picks, go to prizepix.com newheights and use the code. You guessed it, new heights for the first deposit match up to $100.

[00:16:23]

Again, that's prizepix.com newheightscode. New heights for our first deposit match up to $100. Pick more, pick less. It's that easy. All right, we need to talk about one of our sponsors that you probably see us drinking all the time, and that's accelerator active energy drink.

[00:16:40]

Talk to me, player. And if you've been looking for ways to accelerate your fitness in 2024, that's right. Look no further than accelerator active energy drink. Jason, what you sipping on? I got that tropical punch. Got a little tropical punch over here that rocket park be slapping.

[00:16:58]

It's pretty dang good. Pretty dang good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Not only is it pretty good tasting, but accelerator active energy has zero sugar, gives you sustained energy, gets your metabolism going, and gives you the enhanced focus that you need to accomplish just about anything. Make maybe playing in the NFL football or taking care of three kids, which I still don't know what's harder, to be honest with you.

[00:17:22]

Good luck with both of those. Plus, there's also nothing like those signature plant based thermogenics to give you the energy you need to record the number one podcast.

[00:17:32]

All righty. Accelerator is available at high v, quick trip and Amazon. And get this accelerator is offering all 92 percenters $5 off their next Amazon order of accelerator active energy drink from now until February 4. Put your favorite flavor of your accelerator in your cart and use promo code five AcceleRa at checkout for $5 off. My God, that's a deal. [00:18:09]

That's right, gift mode is a new feature on Etsy that helps you find incredible handmade gifts from independent sellers for all the different people in your life.

[00:18:19]

[00:18:35]

All right, now you can get something for the football fan and the basketball fan or even the pickleball player in your life. Jason, what is your favorite gift you've gotten Kylie from Etsy?

[00:18:57]

I don't remember. What's your favorite thing I got you from Etsy? She said there's so many things that she loves that I've gotten her that she can't even remember. Stats are in 90 percenters. The only thing that has a better chance of working than a quarterback sneak on fourth and one is going with Etsy. Gift mode. To find your next gift, just download.

[00:19:19]

The Etsy app and tap on the gifts tab in the center of the navigation bar. Need to find the perfect gift? Don't panic. Try gift mode on Etsy.

[00:19:28]

Now you want to get some bold topics? Little football?

[00:19:32]

Yeah, let's do it, dude. Let's do it.

[00:19:34]

Chiefs 17, ravens ten in the AFC championship game. It was some good football being played over there at the bank. Initial thoughts? Trev, what do you think? Pretty good?

[00:19:47]

Yeah, man. Dog on pretty damn good game. Obviously, we wish we would have scored more in the second half, but went in there with the right mentality, executed early and put their offense and really their team with their backs against the walls. And, man, you got to love spags in this defense right now, baby. God, it's electric playing with them, man. They're giving us chances to stay in games and win games and kind of manage things offensively. And Pat Mahomes is playing the game like the best quarterback in the league, baby.

[00:20:20]

No doubt. No, you guys have picked it up, though, offensively. I mean, I know it's only 17 points, but you guys have multiple chances. You had the one fourth down that you guys went for.

[00:20:27]

We're not hurting ourselves right now, and that's the best part. There's some flags here and there, but.

[00:20:33]

You'Re having good drives.

[00:20:34]

The mistakes, like the drops are kind of limited, the fumble, the turnovers, all those things, the game changers, the game wreckers, certain things that you do to yourself that you just can't win doing. We started to clean that up a lot, and that goes to the head man, baby. You don't clean those things up without good discipline. You don't clean those things up without having good leadership. And that's the coaching staff right there making sure and harping on the right things and really motivating us in the right direction week in, week out. And we never lost faith, not one time during the year. And right now we're playing our best ball, baby.

[00:21:13]

Boy, are you. The Chiefs are officially headed to the fourth Super bowl in five years. I mean, dude, this is legendary status. I mean, we already talked about just going to this game. It was what, your 6th or 7th AFC championship in a row, and now you find yourself in the dance. For the fourth time in five years, the Chiefs were four and a half point underdogs, which was tied for the biggest underdog Patrick Mahomes has ever been before a game took place. We'll start off with pregame. Everybody talked about it. Everybody had videos on it. It was all over Twitter. I was at the game.

[00:21:48]

I'm getting paid as the bad guy.

[00:21:50]

Oh, you're definitely getting paid as a bad guy. I had multiple people text me the game, middle of the game, like, what's Travis doing? Why is Travis doing? And I'm like, dude, you guys have no idea. We're going to get to it. Right now. Justin Tucker is warming up and there's an exchange between you and him. There was also exchange between Pat and Justin Tucker before that as well. During warmups.

[00:22:11]

It wasn't even that. So we're warming up, and we do our same warm up every single time on our side of the field. For those of you that don't know what happens in pregames, the Ravens have their side of the field, and the Chiefs have our side of the field now, specialist, because of the win factor, and they go to where you are. They get a chance to kick at both field goals and kind of punt from both sides of the field, but it's always, if you're trying to go onto the other team's designated area, you kind of stay out of their way. You don't interfere with what they have going on.

[00:22:48]

That is the unwritten rule.

[00:22:49]

That's the unwritten rule. If you want to be a fucking dick about it, you keep your helmet and your football and your fucking kicking tee right where the quarterbacks are warming up and they're dropping eyes are looking left, and they got a helmet down by their feet.

[00:23:04]

It's actually kind of dangerous, really.

[00:23:05]

But if you're not going to pick that up, I'll happily move that for you. Justin came out and he said it was more of a joking gesture and kind of a fun, competitive, and I get it. I mean, he was kind of winking at me, like, being a dick about it, like trying to get under the skin.

[00:23:18]

Yeah, he knew what he was doing.

[00:23:20]

I get it. But me and Pat, we've been having the same mentality for this game all week long, man, and you got to go in there and have the right mind frame, have the right mindset, and we just weren't in a joking mood. We were ready to get after. So, Justin, sorry if we took it to a level that you didn't think it'd get to that play, but if you're going to be a dick, I promise you, I can one up you every time.

[00:23:48]

Dude, Tucker's known for this. I mean, he's a legendary kicker, and he knows how to poke the buttons.

[00:23:54]

Arguably the best we've ever seen in the NFL, man.

[00:23:56]

Oh, no. I don't even know if it's arguable at this. And he does this, and there's other kickers that'll do it, too, other punters. It's definitely unwritten that you stay out of the way of the other team when they're trying to utilize the field. You find a way to work on the other side of the field when it makes sense. That's part of the game without in the game, and you could tell he's playing it in these clips. You can see his mercury expressions. He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing.

[00:24:18]

Don't paint me as the bad guy, all right?

[00:24:21]

He got under your skin. He got under your skin. And listen, it worked. It got under your skin, but it worked in the wrong way because it was a record day for the yeti. Trev led all receivers with eleven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. It was probably one of your best performances I've ever seen, which is crazy because you've had some unbelievable ones. I just saw this stat the other day, which we don't have it in the rundown, but I did take a picture of it because it's crazy. It's absolutely insane.

[00:24:49]

Hold on.

[00:24:50]

Got to go to my photos. Screenshots.

[00:24:54]

You are Ed Kelsey, man. You and dad are the exact same human being. Dude.

[00:24:59]

I'm going to get to it.

[00:25:00]

Don't worry.

[00:25:00]

I'll find it.

[00:25:00]

I'll find it.

[00:25:01]

This is your last twelve playoff games. In total, 104 catches for 1178 yards and 13 touchdowns. Twelve games. That's your stat line. The playoff has been big yeti territory.

[00:25:17]

What's so special about four? I mean, the twelve games.

[00:25:21]

I don't know. They just said the last twelve games. I don't know. How many playoff games have you have a pat?

[00:25:25]

Think 17.

[00:25:26]

So it's a little bit of LeBron stat cherry picking.

[00:25:29]

Twelve games it is. I was just going to throw that out there, but either way, I mean, listen.

[00:25:33]

Twelve game stretch. It's a hell of a twelve game stretch.

[00:25:36]

Let's make it a 13 game stretch, baby.

[00:25:39]

Fire up, boys. We're going to Vegas. Not only did you lead all receivers with 116 yards and a touchdown, you had this insane grab on third and five. Let's go to the clip where you ended up diving. You want to walk us through what happened on this one?

[00:25:55]

Yeah, we'd love to walk you through it. Big third down play, and Pat changed the play. In my mind, I was like, I don't know if we should change this play. And that's not how you play football.

[00:26:08]

For those of you, you have to.

[00:26:09]

Listen to the guy. He's got the keys to the car, he's steering the ship. You got to listen to the guy. And I was just like, I don't like it. And sure enough, he's pumped, trying to find me, coming over the middle of the.

[00:26:24]

Where's Trav? He's going to be right here any second. He's going to be right there. Okay. He's not showing up.

[00:26:28]

I'm over here fucking picking my nose over there on the numbers.

[00:26:33]

Well, you made up because you made.

[00:26:36]

Scrambling for his life, gets his legs chopped out from under him and throws just something just to get the ball out of wounded so he doesn't take a sack. At that point, I'm in my head like, I got to make a fucking play for my guy. I'm just out of here looking like an asshole, not running the right route for him in the biggest game of the year. But yeah, Pat, thanks for giving me a chance, baby. I love you, man.

[00:26:58]

Listen, you ran the wrong route. Whatever. You ended up with a big conversion on third down. That was a huge part of this drive, huge part of this game. And this is one of the things that makes your and Pat's connection so electric because your guys ability to freelance, both of you are so good at that. You know what mean? Like not. Pat is probably one of the best improvisers I've ever seen play the game at the quarterback position. That's the thing that really sets him apart as a player. To have both of you guys be able to do that and also be on the same page or get to the same page. All right. It's pretty fun to watch when stuff.

[00:27:33]

He's a faster reader than I am. That's what it is. I'm just a few pages back. I haven't caught up yet. Honestly, it makes playing with the guy so much fucking fun, man, when you just know that he could pull a rabbit out of the hat at any point, put the ball in one area for you to go and get where you or nobody gets it. And you can go and try and make that spectacular play for your team. That's what makes it so much fun, man. Because you just know that play is never over. And even when they think they got you, they don't. And I love that fucking feeling. As you can see, I'd stand up and I'd punch a fucking ghost right in the face. I was so excited. Bow.

[00:28:14]

Take that, Casper.

[00:28:15]

First down. And then we ended up scoring a touchdown, which was awesome, man.

[00:28:19]

The ravens kind of have that, like, color scheme of ghosts, too. They got you know what in the video games. Wario.

[00:28:26]

It's the Wario Castle.

[00:28:28]

Wario. All the Nintendo stuff. All the ghosts are purple.

[00:28:32]

Warigi. What was the Luigi? Wario.

[00:28:35]

No, it's not. It's a Wario. And Waluigi.

[00:28:39]

Waluigi. Nice. Waluigi. They definitely have that. And holy shit, did they bring out every superstar. They had that game.

[00:28:51]

Yeah, they did. It was an electric atmosphere.

[00:28:54]

It was a family reunion in that place. So the first two everyone saw, Ray Lewis, Ned Reed. But fourth quarter came around, or third quarter came around, and they started playing 50 cent song, and they turned off the lights, started playing a 50 cent song, and then panned to the tunnel, and all you see is this shadow in the mist and, like, the fogginess. And I'm like, how the fuck did.

[00:29:18]

They get 50 cent?

[00:29:19]

Since when is 50 cent a fucking raven?

[00:29:21]

This is bullshit.

[00:29:22]

And it's fucking. Terrell Suggs walks out. I'm just like, oh, shit, that's electric, too. He won a ring with us, too, man. You can't do that.

[00:29:32]

He won one or two.

[00:29:33]

Just one?

[00:29:33]

Yeah, I think it was just one. He wasn't there.

[00:29:35]

Shout out to sizzle, man, that shit was awesome, though. I was in the huddle, like, oh, shit, it'sizzle. Yeah, I thought it was 50 cent, man. Thank God it wasn't 50 cent. If it was 50 cent, man. I don't know if we came out that game victorious, man.

[00:29:48]

Between this clip and the one that we're about to show, I don't know which one was more impressive, the third and five catch or this touchdown catch. Dude, you want to walk us through? So they're in, man, or no?

[00:30:00]

Yeah, they're in, man. They're a man with Kyle Hamilton, man. And I'll tell you what, that dude has a bright future. He's already a stud. He's already a stud, and he had an unbelievable rookie year.

[00:30:08]

But what is this, like a little wheel route? Like you're like, out and up?

[00:30:11]

Yeah, just an out and up. Just an out and up. We had shown that formation and the concept over the past probably ten games, we've ran that concept at least once. So kind of been setting it up, and I've had, I don't know, probably, like, a handful of catches off of that concept where we just dot me on the out route. So we tried to do the out and up, and he played it perfectly.

[00:30:33]

He did play it perfectly. And this is what I wanted to ask you on this, because Pat throws a back shoulder, right? That's what this would be called against.

[00:30:41]

Man to man, 100%, yeah.

[00:30:43]

Do you guys know immediately when Hamilton is playing it perfectly that if Pat throws this, he's going to try and hit me on the back shoulder? Because. Leverage. Sorry, go ahead.

[00:30:54]

It can happen one or two. No, you're good, you're good. These are good questions. It could happen one or two ways, depending on where he is. Obviously, Pat's going to try and give me the best opportunity to catch the ball. So if he's over top of me, he'll try and back shoulder me. But at the same time, if there's some sort of blitz, a guy comes free and Pat has to get the ball up quick and he can't make that decision later on. So let's say on the out part, Pat has to get the ball away now. He might just put it up and give me a chance to run and go and get it, catch it over the shoulder instead of the back shoulder. So you're still trying to find it. I didn't see that thing until it was about turned around late five to ten yards. It kind of worked out in our favor because it happened. It was bang, bang, but I did not see that that ball was coming through the fucking rafters. It was like coming out of like sweets in the background. It was like a dark foggy and then the ball just fucking appeared like five yards from me.

[00:31:53]

I was like, who's that?

[00:31:54]

So you answered the next question I was going to have, which is you waited to turn around what looked like till the last possible second. And is that important on a back shoulder catch? Because the quicker you obviously make that transition that it's going to be a back shoulder, the quicker the DB has to react.

[00:32:11]

Great position he had great position. The only chance I had was that it was that back down hip, the last place he's thinking that is going to be. And I could just kind of turn with it, right?

[00:32:21]

Yeah. And you use your body to shield it.

[00:32:23]

You got to have late hands if you're going to reel one of those in.

[00:32:26]

Dude, it was an impressive catch.

[00:32:28]

Barely caught it, but I'll take it.

[00:32:30]

With how late you got to turning around. You get it on the hip. Unbelievable play by you and Pat. This is my favorite play of the day because of everything that went into it.

[00:32:40]

Appreciate it, bud. Tuddy, baby. Coming out, scoring touchdowns, that was the biggest thing coming in was that we wanted to score tuddies. That's why we went forward on fourth and one down in the red zone a few drives later in the second quarter. We knew if we put up touchdowns, it was going to force their offense to feel a little bit antsy and a little bit pressed to get the ball downfield. And that's what we wanted. We wanted to see what our dbs and their wideouts looked like.

[00:33:04]

Trav, over the last two games, you have 17 targets, 16 receptions, a 94.1% catch percentage. How about that? Little 92 percenter action.

[00:33:14]

All right now.

[00:33:16]

And 191 yards, three touchdowns and a 153.1 passer rating. When they're targeting you. How do you keep flipping that switch on for playoff games? What do you think it is about playoff games? That in particular, it feels like you end up having big games. I don't know if we want to say this quite yet.

[00:33:39]

Obviously, it's just being accountable for your guys putting in the hard work throughout the week. But I think there's just that flip of the switch that you kind of turn on in December.

[00:33:49]

Yeah. Sense of urgency.

[00:33:51]

You want to try and have that switch for the entire year. But it's a 17 game season, man. Sometimes it's just. I mean, it's hard, man. It's hard. Especially after eleven years getting excited for a random game in fucking November where you know you're about to wax this fucking team. It's hard to fucking get it going every single week. And this year, it was harder than ever because we weren't winning those games and we were trying to find ways to win and we were kicking ourselves in the foot and we're finally getting the juices going. We're finally playing our best ball at the right time. And how can you not get excited about that? How can you not fucking wake up every single day knowing that you got a chance to go and get this thing, man?

[00:34:28]

It's electric.

[00:34:29]

It's the best feeling in the world, man. There's nothing better than January and February football, baby. And, yeah, we're in the thick of it, man. I love the challenge of going into a hostile environment. I just love the challenge of having our backs against the wall and it's winner go home, man, and finding a way to win with the guys, man.

[00:34:51]

It's definitely an electric atmosphere, and it's an awesome thing to witness take place. So, Trav, your 6th receiving touchdown in the conference championship game is now the most all time in conference championship games. But the big news is you have officially passed Jerry Rice for most career receptions in the postseason, a record that a lot of people, I think, never thought would be broken.

[00:35:14]

That was crazy. Yeah.

[00:35:15]

The previous record was 151.

[00:35:17]

It's crazy because I'm, like, looking at 151 catches and I can only remember, like, five. I got over a fucking hundred. I've been playing this game for a while.

[00:35:31]

Did you know going into it that you were close to it? At what point?

[00:35:35]

Everybody's been talking about it. I've been getting asked about it in the media and all this and that, and I said it a couple or last year when I kind of got into some of the Jerry Rice and Julian Edelman playoff records. Me and Pat versus or not versus, but me and Pat tying Gronk and Brady and touchdowns as a duo. You start to hear everybody talk about those playoffs and it's just such a fucking honor, man, because I got so much respect for all those guys, of course. So much respect for Jerry Rice and how he's been down to earth and cool as hell with me ever since I got to the league. And I remember the first Pro bowl. It was him. And who was it? Michael Irvin had, I guess, the honorary head coaches for the coaches. And it was hearing Jerry and Michael talk about me as a young guy, as a young tight end in the league, man, it fueled me with confidence that I was doing the right things, man. What's even more funny is that I have this weird image in the back of my head of. Remember backyard football on the computer growing up?

[00:36:51]

Oh, dude. I don't even know if I want to mention this because I've secretly been looking into seeing if anybody holds the rights to backyard football and backyard baseball because I want to buy it and get this thing going again. That was the best game ever. It was so electric. Can you imagine playing backyard football right now on your phone? Because you could do that whole thing on your phone. It wasn't that complicated.

[00:37:13]

Thousand percent, it was not complicated.

[00:37:14]

Sorry, go ahead.

[00:37:16]

So you do remember. All right, nice. Well, if you remember, Jerry Rice was the greatest thing on.

[00:37:21]

Yes, it was Jerry Rice and Steve Young. I would pick both of them every single time.

[00:37:26]

So every time Jerry would score a touchdown, his automatic celebration was to pull out a notebook, open the notebook, and on the header it said records. And it was him just scribbling.

[00:37:38]

I can't believe you remember this, dude.

[00:37:40]

And I'm just like. In my head, I'm like, damn. And then I looked it up when I got older. I was like, damn, why? He has all the fucking records. And that's why they did it. And it's just full circle that I'm as good as Jerry Rice in backyard football.

[00:37:54]

There you go, man. Dude, I've made it.

[00:37:57]

I love dude. That's what comes to my head, is that I'm now the animated.

[00:38:02]

I'm not saying you might have just found out what your next touchdown celebration.

[00:38:06]

Is, but just writing records. Well, I'll have to break a record. And I think I'm way too far away from any of the other records.

[00:38:12]

Jerry has. You missed your opportunity.

[00:38:15]

Yeah, I missed my opportunity either way.

[00:38:18]

Pretty damn cool, man. And pretty remarkable record to break. It was awesome.

[00:38:24]

Thank you, man.

[00:38:24]

Maybe the biggest compliment, though, came from Antonio Brown on Twitter.

[00:38:29]

Ab.

[00:38:30]

That's right. Ab. The electric Twitter. Travis Kelsey, the dopest cracker I know there you mean. That's a heck of a compliment.

[00:38:40]

Hey, man, I appreciate you, ab, man. It feels good to be one of the dopest crackers, man. I love that shit, man. He's one of my favorite followers on Twitter. You got to follow him.

[00:38:50]

Let's get to the Chiefs defense. It's been the storyline all year for the Chiefs. They have been phenomenal in spags. We trust. That's the shirts that a lot of the defensive guys are wearing, man, don't we? This shirt is great. Did you get one of these?

[00:39:04]

Do you know, baby?

[00:39:05]

Dude, that shirt is a great design. That's a great freaking shirt.

[00:39:08]

Oh, yeah.

[00:39:09]

They held the Ravens to just ten points and held the NFL's number one rushing offense to just 81 yards. And this was my thing, I think everybody's thing going into the game. Can they stop the Ravens rushing attack? That's a key. And they did it well. They held them to 81 yards and three turnovers and four sacks. It was an impressive play by the Chiefs defense that has been the best in the league for largely the entire season.

[00:39:36]

Yeah.

[00:39:36]

Including maybe the play of the game when Legerius sneezed.

[00:39:40]

Sneeze.

[00:39:41]

Forcing a zay Flowers fumble at the goal line.

[00:39:45]

What a guy, man.

[00:39:46]

Well, he wasn't really reaching, though, right? He was kind of like going down.

[00:39:49]

But no, he was fully extended to try and get that thing across the goal line.

[00:39:53]

Can't reach.

[00:39:54]

Fuck. And I'll tell you what, man, zay Flowers is going to be a special player in this league.

[00:40:01]

You told me this before the season even started. You saw him work out down in Texas with Pat. And I don't even know if we can say that, but you saw, everybody was just.

[00:40:10]

We were all working out at, what is it, TcU? It wasn't like a scheduled workout. It was everybody.

[00:40:18]

And I was just tweeting at Mark Schlereth because I wanted to vote in the thing. But anyway, zay Flowers, you said right away. I asked, which of these guys did you think not to? But you said right away, this kid.

[00:40:34]

No. Out of the guys that were down there, I was like, give me that guy. Out of everybody that I saw down there, I was like, that, he's ready right now.

[00:40:40]

Apparently the Ravens do that, too, because he was very impressive all season long, an incredible rookie year, but an unbelievable play here by Snee at the goal line, just not giving up.

[00:40:51]

Most on the half yard line, baby. God, Lee, that was electric, man. It's those kind of plays, man, that catapult you into the fucking Super bowl, man. And thank God we got sneed, baby.

[00:41:03]

And this came after a taunting penalty that was called on flowers when he stood over Snee. I don't even know if we want to mention that.

[00:41:11]

No, I mean, you can mention it. It got called. I mean, it is what it is. You know what it is? It's not the standing over as much. It's not the pushing them. It's the drop of the ball.

[00:41:20]

You think so?

[00:41:21]

You can't spin the ball or throw the ball at somebody or, like, that is the taunt. I don't think there's pushing and shoving after a play all the time.

[00:41:30]

If you stand over somebody, they'll call that, too, though, because I've been called for it. I got called for standing over top of a guy. It's whatever.

[00:41:37]

As much that was going on back and forth, that's a tough one.

[00:41:40]

Yeah.

[00:41:41]

Especially in a big play like that. That's a tough one.

[00:41:44]

But we've talked about it before. We're pro taunting to a degree. You got to let people's emotions, and you want that back and forth a little bit, and I didn't. Whatever. Joey Burrow certainly agrees with us. Let the guys taunt.

[00:41:57]

Let the guys taunt.

[00:41:58]

Normally, you see? Let the guys play, but he just went right for the jugular. I don't want to see him play. I want to see him taunt.

[00:42:05]

I want to see him fucking yapping. Hell, yeah. I'm with it, though, Joey.

[00:42:10]

There's an acceptable amount of it. Right. And there's a part of it that makes it more exciting. You'd like seeing people's emotions fly as long as you're not doing these ridiculous antics or whatever. If it's just a pure sign of aggression, like, you just made a great play. Whatever. Insane stat. The Chiefs defense has allowed four points per game in the second half over their last eight games. You want to talk about second half adjustments? My God. 32 total points in eight games in the second half. That is a remarkable stat for this Spags defense.

[00:42:41]

That's fucking insane.

[00:42:43]

It's crazy. Is spags the most underrated coordinator in the NFL? I don't know that he's underrated at this point. I am a little bit surprised. I mean, I know his head coaching stint in St. Louis didn't go great, but St. I don't know. I don't want to say anything bad about an organization that was a whatever. Yeah.

[00:43:02]

You don't got to say much that's already been said, brother.

[00:43:05]

I don't know, man. You see a lot of other people that are great coordinators in the NFL getting head coaching stuff, circling around, and I really do think what Spags has done this year, that entire defense has been truly fun and exciting to watch. They have been great and it's been consistent.

[00:43:24]

I love going to war with them, man. I just love playing. I love being in the locker room. He's one of the most motivating guys and coaches that I've ever been around, man. Just always having the right frame of mind, the right positivity. Even when you need that toughness and somebody to motivate you and kind of like get your shit going type of way. Spaghs does it in a respectable way that guys can relate to and that can motivate. Know, some guys just don't have that gage. They can't gage that. And Spags has been able to kind of get the best out of every single guy. He's know all the way through the depth chart and it goes to show how much we rely on him. This stat right here, these 32 points in the second half is. I mean, that's got to be close to a fucking record right there, I would assume.

[00:44:16]

Yeah, you would think it's a pretty impressive eight game stretch in the second half.

[00:44:22]

The guy found a way to stop Randy Moss and Tom Brady. How about that? Spags found a way to stop fucking Randy Moss and Tom Brady, and they were undefeated and fucking unstoppable. The most unstoppable unstoppable has ever looked. Spagh found a way to beat him, or at least slow it down.

[00:44:40]

Yeah, the score was not high. I remember that, but the 2007 Patriots Super bowl, he did actually. I don't even remember. I don't remember what the score was.

[00:44:48]

I'm pretty sure it was a low score game. Both teams 20. I would assume that's what it felt like. It's kind of like that. Was that eight? Not a lot out. I'm just kidding, dude. Spags. In spags we trust, the biggest plays.

[00:45:01]

Often happen when you need them most. And the final drive, there was a chief that came up with perhaps the biggest play of the day because it sealed the deal with two minutes and 34 seconds left, up by seven, pacheco to burn some remaining Ravens timeouts was being utilized. But to seal the game on a 32 yard pass. Marquez Valdez Scantland. How about that?

[00:45:24]

Top the quiz for the game, baby. Sweeter than that, man. Punching our ticket into the Super bowl yet again. In case you forgot about last year against the Cincinnati Bengals, he did the exact same fucking thing and came up big for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was getting a lot of heat.

[00:45:40]

I was about to get as well.

[00:45:41]

As the entire wide receiver room, and I've been sitting here the entire.

[00:45:46]

The entire offense. It ain't just that. I mean, they were coming after the were. They were coming after everybody. And it's not like it's know. Listen, the offense was struggling for a little bit there, but you guys always knew and had faith in each other, and that's what makes this whole thing so much more special. It ain't done yet. You got one more game, obviously, 100%.

[00:46:04]

Yeah.

[00:46:04]

There's something so special about watching a guy who's been counted out and repeatedly said he's not good enough or he shouldn't be out there.

[00:46:11]

Couldn't be more proud of the guy, man.

[00:46:13]

He needs to be more accountable. Go out there and make a play when you need it most. And our year, when we won it, you got to see Nelson Aguilar really have a special year and make meaningful impact for us.

[00:46:25]

Hell, yeah. Got to see Nelson after the game. The one of the Kelsey favorites.

[00:46:30]

That's right.

[00:46:31]

Great.

[00:46:31]

And so happy for mbs. And we weren't the only one. Big fast Tyreek Hill chimed in on Twitter, what y'all got to say about mvs now? MBS actually got on Twitter and probably had the tweet of the freaking day. I mean, it might be the tweet.

[00:46:47]

Of the season at the bank with Casey Wolf, baby.

[00:46:52]

Thou who shall not be named, I guess.

[00:46:57]

Dude, legend. Fuck. Awesome tweet right there from MBS at the bank, baby.

[00:47:03]

Let's get some post game stuff here. Obviously, when you win the championship, there's confetti, there's speeches, there's all of that stuff. So you guys are down on the field. You had the Lamar hunt trophy celebration on the field. This is your first time accepting the AFC championship trophy outside of Arrowhead. Yeah, a little bit different, obviously, but there were still enough fans there celebrating. It felt like. What do you think?

[00:47:30]

Yeah, the only people that mattered are family, friends, and the people that came on the fucking flight with us, dude. There you go. That's all I give a shit about. All the extra is just for show. I guess. I only cared about seeing you guys and having fun with the guys we just won that game with, man, you gave your patented.

[00:47:51]

You got to fight for your right.

[00:47:53]

You got to fight for your right to party.

[00:47:59]

I didn't feel right saying it.

[00:48:00]

I'm feeling like not doing it justice already. Yeah.

[00:48:03]

It doesn't sound right coming out of me.

[00:48:06]

It really doesn't sound right coming out of me, either.

[00:48:08]

No, it sounds pretty good.

[00:48:09]

Trust beastie boys.

[00:48:10]

But I mean, it sounds good coming out of the Beastie boys, but big Yeti does it justice in my opinion. This was the great photo tweeted out of big red showing a little love to Taylor up on the stage. He's got a little point. They're pointing at each other.

[00:48:23]

Going to the Super bowl, baby. We're going to the bowl. We did it. Obviously, we've already talked about how they kind of know each other from the Philly days.

[00:48:32]

Yeah.

[00:48:33]

Scott Swift. Shout out to big Scott. Him, Andy are good friends.

[00:48:38]

There you go.

[00:48:38]

That was a cool moment to see. Afterwards. I didn't get to see it because I was up on the stage screaming, fight for your right. But, yeah, that was a cool one.

[00:48:46]

That's awesome. Yeah. We had the whole family down on the field. We had me, mom, dad and Taylor. Everybody was down there. How was this moment compared to other AFC championships, especially with the way the whole season's gone? I guess, man.

[00:49:02]

Obviously it feels like it's a little bit sweeter, man. I don't want to rip out anybody's heart in Casey, but this road to where we are now has been more of a challenge, which means you have to overcome more, which means it kind of means a little bit more. And although I cherish all the games that I play in Arrowhead, every single one of them, baby, this one meant a lot, man, because it meant a lot because the guys we had and how we persevered through a lot of the things that we weren't doing during the season, and it just felt that much better with those guys. You could feel it in the locker room afterwards. You could feel it on the plane ride home. Typically, if you win one at home, you just go straight from the field to your house or to wherever your family is off the field. This one, we got to have an entire two hour flight to ourselves where it was just us partying on the freaking plane back home. And it was electric. It was awesome. We had the coaches coming back to where the players were and just reminiscing on this season and enjoying every single bit of being around each other and what we had just accomplished yet again for the second year straight.

[00:50:09]

And we got a special group, man. And that's why this one feels that much better.

[00:50:15]

100%. And it feels that way. It's been an awesome year, and as we talked about after the game, it's just one more now.

[00:50:24]

Uno. Uno. Moss. All right, let's go and get it, baby.

[00:50:28]

LeBron stat of the game. Might have to change this whole bit to Mahomes stats pretty soon, but from a friend of the show, Mr. Rich Eisen. Rich. All hail Patrick Mahomes. Here he hear he first quarterback ever to start four Super Bowls before turning 33rd quarterback to start four Super Bowls in a five season span, joining Tom Brady and Jim Kelly. And those are pretty good company right there. 14 playoff wins behind only Brady and Joe Montana. Fourth Super bowl start. Only Brady and John Elway have more. Jesus. And he's not even 30 years old, dog.

[00:51:07]

Gone.

[00:51:08]

Pretty remarkable.

[00:51:09]

Batty Mahomes, baby.

[00:51:11]

Yeah, I think those are some pretty good LeBron stats.

[00:51:15]

I'll take those LeBron stats any day of the week, man.

[00:51:17]

Also, shout out to the newest members of the Chiefs kingdom Taylor Swift, who has officially reached the Super bowl in a rookie year.

[00:51:24]

That's gotta be. Thanks for joining the team.

[00:51:32]

Do we miss anything?

[00:51:33]

Just shout out. I gotta give a shout out to the kingdom, baby. They were loud and proud out there in a hostile Baltimore, the bank, and whatever the freaking stadium is, man. That shit was just so much fucking fun. It was so much fun to see you guys afterwards, hanging around to watch know raise that Lamar hunt trophy yet again. Bring Lamar home for the Hunt family, knowing it was the year that his wife, Norma passed away. And we wore her initials the entire year, and we're still going to wear them into the Super bowl. It'll be the first Super bowl that she hasn't been to, and we got a chance to bring it home.

[00:52:09]

There you go.

[00:52:10]

So shout out to the Chiefs, kingdom, the Hunt family, and let's take this one. Let's take this one to Vegas, baby.

I'm a traditional wing. Specifically, it's drums. I'm not really a big, flat guy.

[00:54:09]

Yeah, I like the flats.

[00:54:12]

I'm kind of into meat on the bone.

[00:54:13]

I'll even eat the chicken nuggets. I just don't like calling them boneless wings.

All right, let's get to some other player insights on NFL storylines. There's only one other game to really comment. Yeah, 49 ers prevail over the Lions in what proved to be a truly remarkable game. 49 ers, 34. Lions on 31.

[00:56:00]

Yeah, I didn't get to see this one.

[00:56:02]

Neither of us really got to watch it and appreciate it. We were watching it upstairs in the box a little bit before you came up, but when we left the box, it was right around halftime, I think, of that game, and Detroit was up 24 to seven. So I was like, man, lions run away with this thing. And then pretty much by the time I got to the car, I was like, oh, wow. Okay, Fort Niners right back at this one. This is a game. Yeah. Lions got out to a big lead early, going up 24/7 into the halftime, but the second half was all Niners scored on five straight second half possessions. Offense really got going after what is.

[00:56:37]

Being called pretty good.

[00:56:40]

Pretty good.

[00:56:41]

Pretty good. Just when you think he's not, he's pretty fucking good.

[00:56:45]

Offense really got going after what is being called the immaculate deflection where pretty literally bounced a pass off a Lions defender and Brandon and Iuke came down with it.

[00:56:56]

When you're a great team, you find ways to win ball games, you find ways to make big plays. And this game, specifically football, is known for having some of the wackiest and wildest shit happen.

[00:57:12]

Boy, is it.

[00:57:13]

And we are both a part of games where it has gone off helmets, it has gone big deflections that have turned out to be huge plays. I remember Marcus Mariota, teammate of yours, ended up when he was in Tennessee. I was concussed and getting out of a CAT scan and was watching my playoff hopes shrink as Mariota threw it off of Darrell Reevis's face mask and then caught it and scored a touchdown. This kind of shit happens, man. And I mean, I'm not going to lie. When this kind of shit happens, you just get crazy momentum and the football guys are just on your. It's just, you just keep running with it, man. And this was one of those plays, I thought, when Lamar had his deal, when it went off of Jay Reed's hands and then Lamar Jackson caught the ball and ran for an extra, had like a reception for like 20 something yards or something like that, I was.

[00:58:09]

Like, damn, man, that was a big play.

[00:58:11]

They're getting that kind of shit. I don't like that at all. Not on our side.

[00:58:18]

I kind of had the opposite reflection up in the boot because right after they scored, I was still like, man, listen, they got a lucky one. I didn't really see any. They still weren't really moving the ball like that.

[00:58:27]

But regardless, their touchdown was a play. That was a great fucking ball. It was a great ball, a great catch. But I hear you. Broken down play.

[00:58:34]

That's what extended the drive. But either way. Yeah. The biggest takeaway from this game, for me, it says Dan Campbell decision. I think the biggest takeaway is Brock Purdy and the 49 ers overcoming this deficit. Dude, listen, we've heard these stats all the time about Kyle Shanahan's as a coach. And really his offense is that they can't really play unless they are in the game or have a lead. They have never really come back from. What is it, like a ten point deficit or whatever. Well, they find themselves down 20. This is the second game they've marched back and come from behind. This is the biggest comeback, I think, that they've had in the history of it.

[00:59:09]

That boy's got heart.

[00:59:10]

And the biggest difference is the quarterback. I mean, Purdy, for as bad as he was in the first half of last week's game, and I guess, I don't know, in this week, I didn't see much of it, but they were losing pretty good. When it matters most, he's showing up when they need him to get touchdowns, when they need this offense to get going. He is slinging that thing, slinging it.

[00:59:30]

He's making plays with his feet.

[00:59:32]

It's impressive.

[00:59:34]

He's playing damn good right now, man. Obviously, I didn't see the game, but saw the highlights and saw a lot of the plays he's making. I'm just like, man, in moments that he was making those plays, man. He's ready for the moments, man. And he's only going to get better and more confident as the time goes on, man. We're going to have our hands full, baby. It's going to be a hell of a fucking Super Bowl. I know that.

[00:59:56]

That it is the other takeaway from the game. Obviously, everybody's talking about it are the fourth down decisions which, listen, if you've been watching the at all this year, this ain't anything new. Dan Campbell has been going for it any second he gets. He's been the riskiest play caller in the game all season long. He's been rolling them dice, and he wasn't going to change it up in this game. The two that they're really talking about are the fourth and two at the Sam Fran 28. And the one that was more towards the end of the game, the fourth and three. The fourth and two. One is the one where it's like, man, if they kick the field goal, it's a three possession game. You know what I mean? They were up 14. They kicked the field goal, and they make it, which it would have been just under a 50 yard kick. It would have been right around 47 yards, I think. Well, yeah, I guess they're at the 28, so it'd been even less than that. About 45 yard kick. But hindsight is always 2020. You guys went forward on fourth and one.

[01:00:55]

I feel like in these playoff games, you got to be aggressive. But that was the one where it's like, ma'am, we already have such a lead. Let's just take the points and make.

[01:01:02]

It three scores until you get a first down. And then a couple of plays later.

[01:01:07]

And the dagger has been put in. See, this is what it is. They weren't playing to accidentally sneak away with one. They were playing to be aggressive and go out there and take it. And I love Dan Campbell for playing and coaching like that in these Lions all season long. Unfortunate that this story is ending for those guys. It was an incredible storyline happening, man.

[01:01:31]

It was fucking fun to watch them fucking go to work, man.

[01:01:33]

But it's a great storyline for San Francisco as well. The 49 ers have had a special year. They've gotten a lot of redemption this year with Brock Purdy staying healthy down this stretch and getting an opportunity to prove who he is. And they're in the.

[01:01:47]

Yeah. Yeah, man.

[01:01:48]

You got any final thoughts from this one?

[01:01:50]

The old Niners. Niners chiefs rematch, baby.

[01:01:53]

That's right.

[01:01:54]

Get to watch me and George go at it yet again, baby. It'll be a fun one. Kiddle man. I love that guy. I love how he plays. And it's an honor every time I get to share the field with this year's best tight end in the National Football League, man. 85.

[01:02:09]

Well, the 49 ers 17 point comeback win is tied for the largest comeback in the history of the NSC championship game. 49 ers are now one in five when trailing by 14 or plus points at any point in any game since 2022. That's a LeBron stat.

[01:02:25]

Lebron, Lebron.

[01:02:28]

Best thing to come out of championship weekend is the death of the Super bowl logo conspiracy. People have been speculating that the color logos correspond with the teams that would be playing in the games. This comes from a lot of the scripted community. Obviously, you had red and yellow. When there was Bengals Rams. Last year it was teal because the Bengals are red.

[01:02:49]

Yeah.

[01:02:50]

Is that red or orange? It might be orange, I don't know. This year we obviously have San Fran and the Ravens with the purple and red, and it has been officially debunked. So way to go. Thanks, guys, for debunking something that was meaningless and stupid from the beginning.

[01:03:04]

Yeah.

[01:03:05]

Moving on to other news around the league, we got some coaching news. Trav, you want to hit it?

[01:03:09]

Eagles coaching news at that. The Eagles have parted ways with offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and have hired former Chargers and Cowboys offensive coordinator and the Boise State stud, Kellen Moore. Kellen Moore was the OC in Dallas for four years and the OC in LA just this past season. Have you met Kellen?

[01:03:27]

I have not played against him a lot, obviously, when he was in Dallas. Yeah, I was surprised, actually, when he got fired. The one year in Dallas it felt like their offense and was pretty fucking good, even just like two years before that. He's being touted as head coaching candidate, one of the top ones up there. He's been one of the brightest minds for young offensive coaches for some time now.

[01:03:53]

I'll be interested to see where your offense kind of the direction that it goes, man. I'm very interested to see how that thing goes.

[01:04:00]

He's done a little bit of everything. Obviously, he comes from Boise and it.

[01:04:04]

Was wacky back then, man. It was a different offense, though, and.

[01:04:09]

They were a lot of stuff. I mean, it was creative. That's what it comes down to. And I think there was a lot of people, and I think even looking back ourselves, that realized that we could have potentially been a little bit more creative, I guess, offensively. And I think Kellen will bring a lot of that. He did it in Dallas. He did it, I'm sure, this past year in the charges, even though I didn't watch him, that know everybody wants to bring up the Zeke Elliott snapping the ball type thing. That creativity didn't work in that play, but it's not always going to work. And I think he's been one of the best offensive minds in the game. I'm excited to see what he brings to the offense and how it evolves with him at the helm as the offensive coordinator. What? What are you laughing about? That play was to. I still want to know what you're about to find out.

[01:04:59]

You can't wait to ask him.

[01:05:00]

I'm for sure.

[01:05:01]

I think you're spot on with it, though. Zeke was supposed to get the ball. He got hit at the line of scrimmage.

[01:05:06]

It threw the whole thing. It threw the whole thing off.

[01:05:11]

It's the only way that happens. Yeah. And they've also let go of the defensive coaches, Sean Desai and Matt Patricia, but have since announced that they're signing Vic Fangio to their new defensive coordinator as their new defense coordinator. Fangio with the Dolphins mutually decided to part ways after one season last year and is formerly a consultant with the Eagles back in 2022. So he familiar face in the building, obviously an NFL staple. Fangio has been around for years and years and has had a lot, a lot of success in the NFL. Jason, thoughts on Faggio taking over the defense?

[01:05:50]

Yeah, Vic is. I mean, listen, his reputation precedes itself. He's been one of the best coordinators in the NFL since I've been in it. I think every stop he's been, those defenses have been pretty darn successful. Obviously, the Dolphins this last year got riddled with a lot of injuries there down the stretch, but I think everywhere he's been, he's been one of the best out there with the defensive coaches. He's revolutionized the game to a certain extent. There's a lot of people talking about the Fangio defense and how more and more coordinators have taken from it, and there's never a more sign of respect than imitation. Right. Whenever somebody's trying to do what you're doing, well, that speaks to how good you are at it. I've had the pleasure of playing vic in Chicago, Denver and Miami. And, you know, he's just a guy that, first of all, he's brilliant. He can do a lot of different things. I still remember playing against him in Chicago, and he kept putting six one, like, goal line defense out against our eleven personnel, and we did not know how to react to it, and it threw us up for a loop because we had no plan for it coming in.

[01:07:03]

They hadn't really done it, and it threw us off offensively. And that's the type of coach he is. He's going to find a way to throw people off. He's going to find a way to mess up your run fits and try and get you into the looks that you think you're getting, you're not getting. And Vic's been among the best at it. As you said, he was a consultant with the Eagles in 2022. I'm excited. I think everybody in the building is excited to have Vic back. Brian Johnson, Sean Desai, Matt Patricia, all those guys are phenomenal coaches. This is part of the shitty part of the business when things don't go know there's going to be changes and is everything with the offense to be blamed on Brian Johnson? Of course not. Brian Johnson is a great coach. I don't care what anybody says. I know for a fact he is an outstanding coach and he can be a great coordinator as he was for the majority of the year. Yeah, and the previous years as a quarterback, know there's a lot of things that stalled out the offense and the defense the same.

[01:08:01]

You know, I feel for those guys or for guys that get let go in these situations because any, at any time, is it any one guy?

[01:08:09]

Never.

[01:08:10]

That's the unfortunate side of this business. But I am excited to see what Kelly Moore brings to the team and Vic Fangio and yeah, I think it'll be interesting.

[01:08:20]

All right. Now there's also a lot of Eagles fans upset with Siriani's role now just a head coach. I think that's Eagles. I don't know, being upset on the can't. There have been plenty of NFL teams that have had unbelievable success with coach that is more of the game manager and letting the OC and the DC call the plays.

[01:08:44]

Listen, I mean, two of the teams are right in the AFC championship and NFC championship. John Harbaugh and you know, Nick is first of what? I don't know if they've actually said what his role is. I guess going to be on the offense. I know he said he's going to do more of like the head coaching responsibilities, I think, in his press conference.

[01:09:03]

But yeah, he's on cue saying that.

[01:09:05]

Nick and I really mean this is one of the best coaches I've been around and talking about coaching situational ball, really understanding what to do in the right moment, motivating guys. We coach things up in team meetings and hold people accountable better than pretty much any other coach I've been around. And I think he does a lot of things. Players love him. They'll play hard for him. I know it was a really shitty year for, you know. I think that Nick has a lot to bring as value as the head coach and the organizational leadership that he provides for the team. To me, I look at it as, hey, I think Kellen Moore is a pretty bright guy and I think he's going to bring. All I know now is I know we have a great coach in Nick Sirianni. We just got a great defensive coordinator, defensive mind in Vic Fangio, and we got a great offensive mind in Kellen Moore that just got hired. So in my opinion, we're adding more talented individuals to continue to be a part of the staff. So whoever is calling plays, I know that we get better having Kellen Moore in the building because I think he's a great mind and has proven that over the last five years.

[01:10:16]

Nick moving to like a head coaching position, he removed himself from play calling duties last year with Shane Steichen. Right. That ended up working out pretty damn good. Nick has shown in his tenure with the Eagles that he's going to do whatever he thinks is in the best interest of the Philadelphia Eagles and he's going to make those decisions and he doesn't care about how other people perceive it. He doesn't care about anything other than what's in the best interest of the team. And to me, I think players respect the hell out of coaches that operate on that level and communicate things like that. And he's a very unselfish.

[01:10:52]

You. I'm with you, brother.

[01:10:54]

That's my viewpoint on it.

[01:10:55]

We got one more in the Eagles coaching news that broke today. As we're recording this, the Eagles are expected to hire former Seahawks defensive coordinator Clint hurt to be their defensive line coach, man, and he looks like he could put a hurt on somebody.

[01:11:09]

No doubt. Dude. This dude. I don't know if I was with him at the Pro bowl when he was in Seattle when the coaches were on our side, but I know I've played against him a lot. I just feel like he's going to be a guy that everybody's going to love in that building. You just look at him and you can tell he's a guy that's going to motivate the shit out of you. Just look at that guy, man.

[01:11:27]

He's got that.

[01:11:28]

He's going to get the best out of you.

[01:11:30]

He's got that biting kneecap.

[01:11:32]

You could just tell big Clint excited to have him as well.

[01:11:38]

Congrats, Clint and Tom Pellicero tweeted this one out. The Eagles are expected to hire former Seahawks defensive coordinator Clint hurt, as we just said, as their D line coach. Sweeping staff changes continue under Nick Sirianni, who also is expected to hire one of Hertz assistants in Seattle, Carl Scott, to be his DB coach. Yeah, so you guys are picking up some Seahawks coaching staff, man. More coaching news. The Falcons hired former Rams DC Raheem Morris to be their next head coach and the Panthers hired former Bucks OC Dave Canales for their head coaching role. Two guys that if you put them on a screen, I would not know what they look like.

[01:12:21]

I'd know him because we played Raheem Morris this year. I remember his face and I just saw a picture like a couple of days ago.

[01:12:28]

Dave. Well, the biggest news in coaching ranks, the podcast officially has a new AFC west rivalry with Jim Harbaugh. That's right, the Michigan Wolverines head coach from last year's national championship team has now been hired for the LA Chargers. He's been at Michigan since 2015, where he's just won the national beating Ohio State.

[01:12:50]

So he's got to be doing something right.

[01:12:51]

He's doing something right.

[01:12:52]

I don't know what was that. I forget what the spam was before 20. He got there, but I mean, it.

[01:12:58]

Was like 20 something years.

[01:13:00]

It was a long time.

[01:13:03]

Ohio Woodson was like the last guy. Harbaugh is making his return to the NFL after nine years. He was, of course, with the San Francisco 49 ers from eleven to 14, almost winning a Super bowl until running into his brother in the Super bowl. The Harbaugh boys went at it.

[01:13:22]

Know something about that?

[01:13:23]

Not right now.

[01:13:24]

I feel for you, Jim.

[01:13:25]

How about him?

[01:13:26]

Listen, I think it's a great, I mean, Jim harbor is a great coach. Been successful everywhere.

[01:13:30]

He's been the best motivators.

[01:13:31]

Pretty good indicator that he's going to be successful still.

[01:13:35]

Yeah.

[01:13:36]

I am going to say this, though. I've been waiting to see where Bill Lands and I thought this was the job that made the most sense for Bill because, you know, a Belichick defense is going to be lights out and we've seen what he can do with a premier quarterback. And to have Herbert there in LA, I don't know why. I just felt like if Bill goes there and they can have that guy on offense and Bill handle the defense, it was going to be something special. But I think it'll still work out with Jim. Well, I don't want to say that because they're playing the Chiefs, but can't go wrong.

[01:14:11]

I hope he makes them the best version of the charges that we've seen, baby. Give us a great challenge, man. I ain't mad at it. I ain't running from shit.

[01:14:19]

There you go. That's the mentality you got to have.

[01:14:21]

Bring the biggest and the baddest, baby. All right, well, that does it for storylines around the NFL and kind of the coaching changes that are going on throughout the NFL and the AFC west. Knowing that Antonio Pierce is now the head coach for the UM or he's remaining the head coach, knowing that he was the and harbaugh making his return to the NFL for his former team as he was once the QB over there in San Diego. Let's keep this thing moving to some no dumb questions, because there's no such thing as dumb questions. 92 percenters just dumb ass people asking really smart questions that don't really seem that smart. Kind of sound dumb and feel dumb, but you can't. No dumb. There's no dumb question.

[01:15:06]

I think that's true.

[01:15:07]

Ironically, no dumb questions is brought to you by our friends at Buffalo Wild Wings because there's no bad buffalo wild Wings.

[01:15:14]

There's, you know what I'm saying? Good buffalo wild Wings.

[01:15:17]

Let's go. Sports bar. And a bunch of dummies going in there to watch sports from at. Teresa Ortiz, 29 39 on YouTube. Travis, would you do hot ones again? Hell, yes, I would do hot ones again. Jason, would you go on the show or do one together? That'd be fun. Jason, would you do a hot ones and what level of spice would you be able to handle? I will tell you this right now. Those wings and those sauces are no fucking joke. And the first time I got introduced to a world record hot sauce was because of this fucking gibroni in front of me. Jason made an online purchase in college to specifically ruin everyone's leftovers. He would secretly put hot sauce on all the leftovers in the fridge and just watch everyone fucking be so confused when they eat their food for lunch the next day.

[01:16:18]

I'm trying to remember what that hot sauce was called.

[01:16:20]

Atomic bomb.

[01:16:21]

No, atomic bomb was Quaker steak. Quaker steak had that hot sauce and you get your picture on.

[01:16:28]

This was something like that, though. It was something.

[01:16:30]

Well, this was just a hot sauce that was designed to be as hot as possible. Yeah, I think it was mad dog hot sauce, but it was like something like Magnum.

[01:16:40]

Either way. I just remember going in and trying to get my ironically. I think it was bdubs. I think it was a bdubs like, order from the night before, and I just had an extra, like ten wings that I threw in the fridge for lunch the next day. And I go in there, and my first two wings that I eat, I'm just like, God damn it, these are fucking on fire. What is this? Jason's just over on the couch giggling like a fucking asshole. Just a complete asshole.

[01:17:10]

When we were in college, we used to do online dinners at the Boughnocks.

[01:17:14]

Hey, shout out to the boozies, man.

[01:17:16]

And their dad, who unfortunately, recently, actually just passed away. I don't know if you.

[01:17:20]

Damn, man. Yeah, rip to the big guy. Legend. Absolute legend, man.

[01:17:24]

Yeah. Mr. Boughnak, he had a fried chicken chain in the Cincinnati area, and we go and eat chicken at the house. And it was one of the highlights, but every time it was your first time going there, you had to try the hot sauce, and they would put a toothpick in it. You would dunk it in and you'd lick it, and it would ruin your day for about 20 minutes. It was absolutely terrible. And I bought that same hot sauce, and I think that was mad Dog 357. But I think it was like their.

[01:17:51]

Platinum edition sounds very familiar.

[01:17:53]

And it had, like, a little bullet on it.

[01:17:55]

Yeah, that's where I got the atomic thing from. Yeah, I know. It was some type of weapon of war. Yeah, exactly.

[01:18:05]

I think they had, like, a platinum version or something, but it was like 3 million scoffle units or something. It's like something stupid.

[01:18:10]

It's fucking some shit that'll fucking ruin your day. And that's exactly what it did to me on that lunch.

[01:18:15]

Yeah, you'd have guys, like, throwing up.

[01:18:17]

Anyways, back to the not so dumb question. Would you go on hot ones?

[01:18:21]

Yeah, of course. First of all, I love chicken wings.

[01:18:25]

Not right now.

[01:18:26]

I think it's an awesome show and it'd be fun to try in and out.

[01:18:29]

Do you like combo? Because you got to be good at eating hot wings and having a combo because that's the hardest part, is talking while your mouth is just fucking leaking.

[01:18:39]

Yeah, I mean, I'm going to be terrible at. I can handle spice up to what is a reasonable spice. I get spicy things. I really do enjoy hot sauces, but obviously hot ones. Once you start getting up there after a few of the sauces, they're just designed not really for taste. They're designed to just make you in.

[01:18:58]

Pain, fucking ruin you.

[01:19:01]

I don't enjoy hot sauces that are like that. I like hot sauces that have the taste combined with a little bit of.

[01:19:06]

Heat and make you want to go back for more. Yeah, I can continue to go get the endorphins going.

[01:19:12]

I don't have to go to the fridge for milk just to survive.

[01:19:16]

You're a milk guy. You're fucking pansy.

[01:19:19]

What do you water to help?

[01:19:21]

No, it's not. Ice cream is the best way to do it. When I did hot ones, I didn't fucking touch the milk or the peptobismal or anything. You handled it like a grown ass man. My eyes were watering and I could barely even talk. And my guy, Sean Evans, who's the host of hot ones, got as much as he could out of mean.

[01:19:43]

I'll do it.

[01:19:43]

I was in a bad place.

[01:19:44]

I will not be afraid to drink. No, I don't think any. I'm not trying to prove toughness out of anything. Give me the hot wings. It'll be hot as shit and I'll put some milk on there and it'll be brutal. But yeah, let's do it. From Melissa on Club 92. What is blitz? It's a heck of a question.

[01:20:06]

Arguably is the best video game ever created. Greatest arcade game ever invented.

[01:20:11]

It was a game in the 90s created by a company called Midway.

[01:20:16]

Midway had it fucking going. NBA hang time, NBA jam, NBA hang time, NFL Blitz, NBA showtime, Wayne Gretzky 3D, Hockey 98. Now that was the fucking.

[01:20:30]

Was there a soccer midway game? Was there ever a soccer one?

[01:20:34]

There was a baseball game. I think it was MLB slug fest.

[01:20:37]

Well, slug fest came out later. I don't know if that was midway or if that was another one.

[01:20:40]

That's a good point. It was the blitz version of baseball. It was like the arcade.

[01:20:46]

And when Slugfest came out, there was another hockey one, which was something else too. But it was the same. I think it was the same thing. Whatever, we're digressing. Yeah, Blitz was incredible and it was electric when it came out. I feel like when it first came out, was it only arcades or did it come out immediately when like Sega and Nintendo 64 were big and it went to console? There's definitely were big machines.

[01:21:09]

Damn, that's a great question. I don't know. I'm going to say it was a video game and then became an arcade.

[01:21:14]

Game or it was at the same time.

[01:21:15]

It wasn't like 1000% in the 90s when it came out on whatever it was Nintendo or. Yes, or whatever.

[01:21:25]

I think it was out on all of them, but yeah. Well, I don't know. I only remember it on 64, but that's what we had. Either way, Blitz was an incredible game. Only to be topped, of course, by Blitz 2000, which then enabled you to play with four people when you could only before play with two. And that's when it really became fun.

[01:21:40]

That's when your buddies, you remember going to the fucking.

[01:21:44]

You go on fire dragon guys.

[01:21:46]

And then you remember going to the uptown bar in Casey.

[01:21:50]

Dude, we were just talking about this because Brent Black was at the game this week and Kylie was like, yeah, that was. And she reminded me that we were with them at the arcade and we.

[01:22:00]

Sat there one by one, I mean.

[01:22:02]

Maybe 4 hours, and we were just killing people.

[01:22:05]

Undefeated. We were murdered.

[01:22:08]

We were freaking.

[01:22:09]

It was like we were ten all over again and just beating all of our friends.

[01:22:13]

We were playing defense like wink Martindale. We were doing suicide blitz on everyone to put pressure on the quarterback. And I forget whether you were blitzing or I was blitzing, but somebody was playing free safety and it was just read the quarterback's eyes and we're taking out the first receiver we see. Hot route is gone. Get the ball out. You knew the ball had to come out.

[01:22:31]

It was stifling defense. Stifling.

[01:22:34]

It was electric. It was an electric afternoon.

[01:22:36]

If you don't know how to hit the turbo button the right way, that's where it was really the most skill.

[01:22:43]

The art of the midway games, the.

[01:22:45]

Art of all midway games was how to use the turbo and manual juice. Manual juice going backwards.

[01:22:52]

That's why I loved the brilliance of Midway, was that there wasn't like a million buttons. You couldn't do all these things. The greatest thing you can master in hang time or blitz, and it's so pertinent to actually playing sports is tempo control.

[01:23:09]

Right.

[01:23:10]

Maintain your turbo, know when to use it, and you could really shake somebody in. Some of these manual jukes the best. It was an electric way. I still love those games. All right, I guess we should actually talk about what she's probably asking, which is blitz plays.

[01:23:26]

No, just go right to the bomb. Yes.

[01:23:30]

And the other thing about Blitz is that I really think it revolutionized the NFL passing game. There was one play everybody picked and it was called deBaum. And it's essentially just all goes special. And it's what everybody in the NFL runs.

[01:23:46]

You tell a male from the 90s, run deBaum, they know exactly what you're talking about.

[01:23:54]

Middle guy is going to run a bender. The outside guy is running.

[01:23:57]

You got three level crosser. It's what we ran to win the fucking game against the Ravens, to throw.

[01:24:02]

It up to Marquez.

[01:24:03]

We ran to bomb and just fucking threw it up to Marquez for the game. It's the greatest play ever invented.

[01:24:08]

Not quite all goes special, but I guess that would be more the Hail Mary play with the little bender in the middle.

[01:24:13]

But there you cross triple, cross three triples either way. Yeah.

[01:24:18]

You're putting somebody in a bind on the bomb. No matter how they play it, you can't play it properly.

[01:24:22]

Somebody's one on one, it's going to give us a chance. Well, to answer your actual question, Melissa, a blitz in the National Football League is when you bring more than what you typically would bring, which is four defenders. You typically have four defensive linemen on the line of scrimmage, and they're the ones rushing the passer in a pass situation. If you bring any more than that five or six guys, that's typically what they call a blitz.

[01:24:48]

Yeah, it's gotten a little hairy because now there's like simulated blitzes. So I feel like a blitz used to be like what Travis is saying. If somebody blitz, that's not a typical rusher. If somebody's all of a sudden rushing.

[01:24:58]

The quarterback, that's how we identify it from the schematical.

[01:25:02]

But now, and this has been the rave, I guess, for the last two or three years, but you're seeing it more and more. Teams are pressuring with linebackers and dropping d linemen or outside linebackers on the edge that are normally rushers, the old fire zone, but they're only rushing four now instead of. So they can still play a true cover three rather than a fire zone coverage. I think that's still a blitz. Right. But they call them simulated pressures.

[01:25:25]

I don't know. Whenever a guy that doesn't typically rush the quarterback rushes the quarterback. I'm calling it a blitz.

[01:25:30]

I think that's the right way to say it. I think you're right. Good definition. I'll double stamp that. Triple stamp.

[01:25:37]

You can't double stamp a triple stamp.

[01:25:38]

All right, that was it for no dumb questions. Brought to you by Buffalo wild wings.

[01:25:43]

Those two good ones right there. And thank you for letting us remember this on how good we are at blitz.

[01:25:48]

Let's go, sports bar. I'm being told to quieter down.

[01:25:54]

No, we got a little excited.

[01:25:56]

[01:26:10]

How about it?

[01:26:11]

Let's get to some stamps of the week. How about that? Trav, what do you think.

[01:26:13]

Let's finish this fucker off.

[01:26:15]

All righty. Finally, we're going to hand out our stamps, which I don't really know if they mean anything, but we're going to do it.

[01:26:21]

What?

[01:26:21]

These stamps go to the players who took their games to new heights in the conference championship round of the playoffs. New heights stamp of the week is brought to you by our friends at accelerator.

[01:26:31]

It is so did Jason. Can't fucking scream because he's got kids. Accelerator active energy. How about this, ladies and gentlemen? I got some tropical punch over here. This shit's fucking electric. It's 10:00 and I just had one.

[01:26:43]

I'm going to be up all night, man. It's already that late?

[01:26:47]

All right. Accelerated through the night.

[01:26:50]

Accelerator active energy is available at Hyvey, quick trip and Amazon. All right, for my pick, I'm going with none other than the DC that has been lights out all year round and is making his way back to the Super bowl to try and defend it. Chiefs. Let's go. Steve Spagnola in spags we trust. I want one of these shirts, Travis, if there's a way you can get.

[01:27:12]

One, I got you. He's a Jersey Shore guy.

[01:27:16]

I know. Well, he came to the event trying to see you last year when we did the beer bowl.

[01:27:21]

I'm the worst. We all know this. I suck. We know this. University of Cincinnati knows it, you guys know it. Spags now knows it. I fucking suck. But, spags, I got you this year.

[01:27:33]

I got you.

[01:27:34]

Enjoy the shore together. Man. It's been too many summers that have gone by where I haven't caught you out there on the east coast, baby.

[01:27:41]

Well, the Chiefs defense finished with four sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception in the win over the Ravens. They held the number one rushing attack in the league, 81 yards. Justin Reed has posted about how you can purchase the inspags we trust t shirts. A portion of these proceeds will go to Justin Reed's foundation. Jay Reed, indeed. Like that little rhyme action.

[01:28:03]

Jay Reed, baby. And I'll tell you what, man, Jay Reid deserves a stamp as well, man, who he is as a leader, as a player on this team, man, fuck, I love that guy, man. And sure enough, man, everybody's going to want these shirts, and it's always going to go to a good cause, man, because Jay Reed's been in every single community that he's played in, man, and has made a big difference in all the communities. So shout out to Jay Reed for finding a way to give back to the community and sell a swaggy shirt, man, because I'm pretty sure everybody wants these things right now.

[01:28:32]

Well, we're going to add a link in the show description if you are interested in one of these shirts, but yeah, congratulations to Spags, the entire Chiefs organization, it's been an unbelievable year. And, man, Spags has been so good.

[01:28:45]

And hell yeah, baby.

[01:28:46]

For that defense to play that well against that high powered offense, it was impressive to watch. Way to go, Spags.

[01:28:53]

Spags taking not only his game, but our game to new heights. All right, now I'm going. One of my favorite teammates of all time, my brother from shytown, Frankfurt, Illinois finest.

[01:29:08]

There we go.

[01:29:09]

Lincoln Way East High School.

[01:29:11]

Holy cow.

[01:29:12]

Nick Allegretti. That's right. Nick Allegretti for the Kansas City Chiefs. Stepped in for our Pro bowl. Offensive guard, Joe Tooney for the AFC championship.

[01:29:24]

Big shoes to fill.

[01:29:25]

Huge shoes to fill. And stepped up like a champion and propelled us and got us another AFC championship and punched our ticket into the Super bowl yet again, man. And Nick has been, year in, year out, Mr. Reliable. Every single time he gets that opportunity to go in there, to play as good as he did and to play as big as he did in that moment, in that game. We couldn't have did it without you, brother. And his emotional quote, thanking teammates after the game. They were there for me all week with communication, making sure I was ingrained in this offense. God, I'm so proud of this team, man. You said it for all of us, dude. We're all in the same boat with you, man. And the feeling is mutual to have you on the team with his brother and Dan, that was a fun one to go and get with you, man. And Nikki Allegretti. Shout out to all of our Lincoln way East family, Dan Giordano and the Giordano family out there in Shytown. Yeah, baby, we got a lot of connections. And Nick and his family have been absolutely awesome ever since he's been a chief and we're lucky to have him, baby.

[01:30:29]

Shout out to Nick, taking his game to newer heights.

[01:30:31]

There we go, baby. All righty. I still can't yell because my kids are waking up, so I'm just going to do this at a night at.

[01:30:39]

Least about to beat the fuck out of you. Shut the fuck up.

Real quick, before we get to the section, I gotta let Kylie in down here because the door's locked for some reason. Oh, there she is. You can always interrupt, always.

[01:31:59]

Free pass. If you want to just pop in every now and then and tell jason he fucking sucks.

[01:32:03]

They're saying that they will gladly have you pop in whenever you want over me talking or anything. So I'm repeating what they said. I'm not giving you any kindness. I know that I need to, though.

[01:32:15]

No. Somebody stop him, please.
