The Ravens improved to 11 and four, or clinch to playoff birth. The Baltimore Ravens have won 11 games this season for the first time since 2020, and for the third time in the last five years. Lamar, 14 or 24, 171, one touchdown, one pick. Trevor Lawrence was 25 or 43, 264. One touchdown, two fumble. Time you watched the game. What do you like about the Ravens? I love them defensively. I love them defensively. They kept pressure on. They got so many playmakers upfront. Linebackers run from sideline to sideline, reminding you about Sugar. You used to run from sideline to sideline. They don't make a lot of mistakes, man. Defensively, they just don't make a lot of mistakes. When you have offense led by Lamar and they control the clock, man, they keep possession.

It's tough to beat them. It really is. Because he is so capable of doing anything. Making the throw, making the run, extending the drive to get the first down. I love what the Baltimore Ravers are doing right now. It's not spectacular, but I love how they do what they do. Ojo, and you watched and you saw Lamar ran around for about three or four seconds, maybe even five seconds, throw the pass down the field, lively jumps up and catch it, and the defensive guy just sitting down and he looks up at Lamar like, Damn. You did that again. He's looking at his sidelines, looking at his team like, Bro, what am I supposed to do?

There's nothing you can do. Lamar is special. Lamar is dynamic. What I like about Lamar and what he's done is he's proved the doubters wrong, where everyone has said he is a running back. He's a run-first quarterback. But this season he's done something that we haven't seen him do consistently throughout the entirety of a season. He showed that he can be a pocket pass at first. He can process, make the reads he needs to make, and make all the throws, whether short, intermediate, or deep balls. And the players that he has are making the plays for him as you saw tonight. The funny thing about it is I could just sense the frustration in the defender's faces. You got Lamar, you got him tackled. You got him going down to the ground, and he's still getting the ball off and making the passes and completing them. And obviously, them being number one in the AFC North, rightfully so, based on their play the entire season.

When you look at Lamar, he should have been dispelled that myth, Coach. A long time ago. Because when you win the MVP, you throw 36 touchdowns, you throw six picks, and you are unanimous. There's only been two unanimous MVPs since they started voting for MVPs is he and Tom braided. So you're a unanimous MVP. You're no longer a running back, back, and through. You are a quarterback that can run when necessary. When you look at this team and the way they're constructed, great special teams. Lamar Jackson is Lamar Jackson. They can run the football. We know they get off the bus, they're going to run the football. We know that. Everybody knows that. And their defense, you mentioned, sideline-to-side line with the linebackers, a defensive line that doesn't have big names, but they can get relentless pressure in the corners. You still have Marlin Humphrey back there. Even though your free safety, Hamilton didn't play, we know he's a playmaker of free safety. What do you like most about this Ravens team and how far do you think they can go in the AFC? I like them, but I don't love them. The reason I don't love them is because they do everything good, but I don't see what they do great.

When you get to the playoffs and you get down to it, you got to have a team that could stop the run and can run the ball. They could do both. But then it comes down to Lamar, and that's why he gets criticized. If he don't have one of those Lamar Jackson games, we get critical because he has to put the whole entire offense and team on his back. That's why he receives the criticism. It is not warranted because he plays fantastic. This is the only MVP that we... How do you have an MVP holding out for money? It's true. Why they do that? It makes sense. But that's the thing with him. If he doesn't play great, we put it all on him, not the rest of his teammates. Right. Ojo, what are you thinking? What do you see? What do you like? What do you dislike?

Listen, I like what Prime said. The Ravens do everything good. They do everything great on defense, on the defensive side of the ball. But once we get to the playoffs, you think about some of the team that they're going to have to see, some of the AFC offenses that can put up points, which is about two and eight, 30 some points a game. Will the Ravens be able to match that even though their defense is good? What happens if you get into a shootout? What if it's a day where it's like the Cowboys? We have off day defensively, and you have to rely on the offense to be able to score points. Are you going against the goddamn Buffalo Bills, or you're going against people like the Chiefs or The Dolphins for that matter. Will you be able to have a shootout with a team like that? So Lamar Jackson, not only Lamar has to be on, so does that receiving core in Bateman, in Odale, in Brothers A. Flowers. All the boys got to be on, including thetight ends.

Yeah, I agree what both of you have to say. The thing is that when you are more a run dominant team, the problem that you run into, especially in the playoff time. Guys, you know this. If you fall behind, how can you do this? Is your offense for coming from behind? We know if you get the lead, you can take the air out of the ball and you can keep a Patrick Mahons off the field. You can keep a Toe off the field. You can keep a Josh Allen off the field. But if you fall behind, Taylor, 14 points and they force you- That's the problem. If they fall behind, everybody drops eight, they drop seven, man. You rush four and you make him hit the hole, you drop into the zone. You don't play, man. You just drop into the zone and make him have to pinpoint that pass. And that's what has a problem. Although he can throw. I don't know why they say he can't throw and he's not accurate because he can. But this is one thing is a question to me, man, that rubbed me the wrong way. Okay. Chad, maybe you could help me with this.

I love Lamar, and I think he's been criticized unfairly, just if I'd be so. But when is your homie that you grew up with? Like when he ops to go to another team, man, that right there, it made me say, What's up with that?

What's happening?

Well, obviously because Hollywood wanted to be more than a past first type offense. You think about the Ravens. The Ravens are a run dominated oriented offense. Correct. That way, it has always been that way. I think the dynamic is what forced Hollywood to want to go somewhere where he thought he would get the ball and get the opportunities.

But you see how that's conflicting, how that makes other receivers around the league feel about Lamar, and I love Lamar. I think he's that guy. But when you see that, that makes someone say, Yeah, why would I go there? I'm not getting no numbers. I'm not going to be I'm not going to pro bowl. I'm not going to be no pro. It just makes you think. I think it's unjustified. That's why I'm hoping... I think they changed their thought process and they went in the draft and said, You know what? We're not going to get around the free agency. We got a draft. No, because guys want to catch... Time you played 14 years, I played 14 years, you played over a decade as a wide receiver blocking this fight. You're like, Hey, I want my running back to get long runs, but I'm a receiver. I'm here to catch the ball, but it goes to show me. Now, I thought you wanted to win because you know the Ravens was winning when Hollywood was there. Now, he ain't come close to getting to... I mean, I think he went to the playoff what, two years ago?

I think they lost. They want to win nowadays, but they want to get paid too. That's a new man now. I want to win and get my number of time. Let me get a 100, 13, 100 yards. I don't know if it's that way. Win, then get the numbers. I think get the numbers, then win. It's a new player out there right now. But you know what, guys? Tell me if you're with me on this. Lamar Jackson, so much is on his plate that if he's off slightly, they're going to lose. Brock Purdy can be off slightly, but because he has a C-mack, he has a Debo, he has a Kindle, he has an I-U-K, they can overcome it. You look at Josh Allen. I think he and Lamar burden shoulders a lot more burden than, say, a Brock Purdy or a Daq Prescott. Because I think the biggest thing we're going to talk about the Cowboys is their inability to run the football, and they miss Zeke a lot more than they thought they would. But I think when I look at Lamar and I look at their team, everything is contingent on him.

If he's off slightly, they're not winning. That's right. But you got to understand, man, as much is given, as much is required. We can't hand you a bag. Everything you need better be in that bag. That's just okay. Everything you need better be in a bag. That's just how it is. And that's what we expect from all these handsomely paid quarterbacks because they've earned it. But you got to produce. You got to produce.

Yeah, I think the thing, right before we get off topic on Lamar, the thing with Lamar is he's so special. He's so special that there are certain things and certain dynamics that happen within a game that he can overcome. That he can overcome. If he's not playing perfect, all he's going to need is for Zate Floars, O'Dale, and Rashad Bayman to play consistent, decent football for four quarters.

The difference is like the quarterback not playing, because here's the thing, the four tobecause they can run the football. If Brock Purdy is having an off day, Krista McAfrey can run you out of the building. He still can go get you 125, 130, and get you two or three touchdowns. Because they're not incumbent on them throwing the ball down the field. Now, Purdy can throw the ball down the field, but look how many swing passes he give to Krista McAfrey or Texas Rock, he give McAfrey. All of a sudden, he's getting 10 yards or Debo. Don't forget Debo. Please don't forget Debo. Oh, man, Debo is a running... Once the ball is in Debo hands, Debo is as good a receiver. Then they have an all-pro tight end. Let's not get all these... No, let's not forget all that. Then you know you got the whole left side locked down with Big Trent. He locking it all down. But I just said, I won't I hold Lamar because the people that were shouting to you so hard on him, bro, he's an MVP. We're supposed to be hard on MVP. There's only three- You're not hard on him.

You have expectation. You're not hard. You have high expectations. That's what that is. Do you realize there's only three current players in the NFL that are MVP? Lamar, Patrick Mohones, and-. No, Rogers.

There's only three. That's right.

Should the expectations be there for unanimous MVP to be consistent? Look, we're not expecting you to throw for three hundred and for test down to every game, but there has to be a level of expectations given what you've already accomplished. We can't say, Well, Shannon, he's still young. Bro, he's an MVP, a unanimous MVP. He's been an old pro. He was selected by his peers as the best player in the league one year. So we can't regress because things don't go his way. It's not my arm. I just wanted the people to know that's not my arm. That's not your mic. That's not my arm. I didn't want them to think that was my hand. I didn't want them to think that was me. Okay, we're going to move along. We're going to go to the Cowboys. The Bills dominate the Cowboys, 31-10. The Cowboys are now three and four on the road, seven and no at home. They score a little less than 22 points on the road, score almost 40 points at home. People are upset for McCarthy leaving the start of then. I asked that very question. I asked because heading into the, I think, that had like 50, 60 yards with a little bit, with a little bit of like, 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

He got touchdown, yada, yada, yada. But when you watch the Cowboys, what do you not like about them, Ty'n? I love them. I'm not going to say it's one particular thing I don't like about them. I love them. I just want them to continue to be consistent. Don't fool me, man. Don't tease me. We don't like to be fool. We don't like to be teased. Don't take me all the way to the altar and then you're going to dip on me. Don't do that. Don't get me feeling that you're going to do something you don't want to do that. Don't get me in there. Don't you get me in there like that. Oftentimes, the Cowboys have the propensity to do that. I'm just hoping this was just one of those games. We've all had in our careers have had just one of those games where it just went right offensively, defensively. It just didn't work. You just got your butt kicked. Let's flush it. Let's move on. Let's go. Don't talk about it. Let's don't need to need about it. I don't even want to watch the film. Let's go on to the next game.

That's one of those games. Right. When you look at this game, though, you see the weather is what it is. The bill says we're going to run the football and we don't believe you can stop us because there's something to be said about a team that runs the football. It becomes personal. When you run the football, Ocho and time, we talk about this all the time. You're moving a man against his wheel. He got his hand in the dirt. You've got your hand in the dirt. And he says, I'm not going anywhere. And that offensive line would say, The hell you say you moving up out of here and here comes a cook, James Cook, running the ball 266 yards. Josh Allen was 7 or 15 for 94 yards. He said after the game, I felt like the kid that didn't participate in the science project and got a... Let that sink in for a second. What we're seeing, what we see, what I see is that when the defense can't turn you over, you can't get pick sixes and scoop and scores and the cowboys, you've got to fight tooth and nail. The entirety of the game, they turned it down more times than not.

Now we saw them go on the road and lose to Arizona team minus Kyle Murray. We saw them go on the road to San Francisco, and that ain't no shame because San Francisco been thumping hell out a lot of people. We saw them almost they lose, they give up 30 something points to the Eagle. That's not a good sign because more than likely you're going to probably have to go on the road. You're going to get to where you want to get, which is Las Vegas. You're going to have to go through San Francisco. It's going to go through the Bay. This is my problem, Shaik, and I don't know where you all stood on this, but you know I have an opinion. Of course. Cam said some profound things. Yes. A lot of people took shots at Cam, the man, not Cam, the quarterback. I don't understand because to me, Cam ain't really done nothing to us to critique him as a man. As a man, Cam has been outstanding as a man. Yeah. Okay, so where do we get that we don't honor the opinion of a former MVP? Now, see, this is one of those games where we don't like it.

That's right. Okay, that's what I'm saying. Forget the man. Right. Forget the man. His opinion, he's a former MVP. Now you start thinking about this is one of those games where your quarterback got to carry you, man. What we just got finished talking about Lamar, right? Yeah. Right, old Joe? We got all the pressures on the bar to put you on his back and do his thing. Yes. That was one of those games, man. That was one of those games. That might be what Kim was talking about. That's exactly what he was talking about. Okay, but what? Sometimes we'll miss the message if we don't like the message. If we don't like the message, if we like the message, even if the message is wrong, we'll receive it. But even if we don't like the messenger, the message can be, Oh, man. I love Daik, and I think Daik is fighting right now for MVP. I really do. I think that might have put him second now. That might have diminished him because of that. But those are the type of games where ain't none working. Hey, man, you all got to get on my back.

I work it. Because we criticize Lamar like that. Yes. Yeah, we criticize those homes like that. Yeah, we criticize all those guys like that, and those are those type of games, man.

But then when you think about it, we talk about that and not playing well. You talk about the receiving court really not being there. So that can succeed in a game like today where nothing is going right, especially for the Cowboys defensively. But then we give no credit to the Cowboys in the defense that they played against or whatever.

You mean Buffalo? I'm sorry.

The bills for the scheme that they had where they weren't able to run the ball, they weren't able to throw the ball. I'm not going into the third quarter. Jack had how many? I don't got my numbers in front of me. He had 60 somethings.

Now, I'm not saying he probably was not. That's business, Shannon. That's not the preference of the better man. That comes down to business, and that's what it came down to. Or one of the key guys get injured, like it was last season. That's what happened. You don't wish that on nobody. No. But that's what has to happen because those boys are playing some ball, man, and they playing defensively. Did you see the way that boy broke on that thing? Your award?

That's all he did. That ain't nothing but film study and no one was coming. You can't think against yourself if you hesitate you beat. That's the difference between a PIG 6 and a knockdown pass. That's right. That's the difference. But when you look at this team because they can run it, you know they can run it. They know they can run it. When they stick that ball in the belly of Krista McAfrey or that backup running back, he goes, Get a running free. I used to free. I used to free. I used to free. I used to free. Everybody free.

Mean, they're like, Oh, you get a touchdown. You get a touchdown. He could be the MVP as well. Mcafrey could be the MVP as well. Yes. He has 20 touchdowns total, and he's leading the league in Rush Yard.

Yeah, unbelievable. It's crazy. Wait, man, he got 509 receiving yards on top of that.

I love that kid, man. I love that kid. I love this father. That whole family, that whole family could ball. I think the housekeepers, everybody could ball in the house. But time right now, you and I have been in this business a long time. What's the better story? Our first round pig who far come from pedigree winning the MVP or Mr. Irrelevant? A seventh round draft pick, the last pick in the draft, winning MVP. Because sports is about stories. People, Oh, win. No, if it was just about the score, they would need color. They would need play-by-play guys because the play-by-play and the color, they give you the story of the game. Yeah, that's right. If it was just all about the score, they could just, okay, score the touchdown. We know what the score is, but they're telling you the storyline of the game and the best story right now, and it might be just like you remember when Kurt Warner won it a time in '99? Uncultured, Jay. Yo, guys, we've heard about your pregame rituals, but what about your postgame rituals? Did you have anything that you did time? Did you have anything you did, Ojo, after the game? I always had migraines. I always had migraines. Controlling the migraine from being up, being fired up and just want to go get it. That calming down period was tough, so I always had migraines. On the plane ride back home, they would medicate me and try to get me stuff and ice everywhere. I couldn't never do none of the games, so I always went to the crib, straight home.

My routine after every game in Cincinnati was always the same. Win or lose, I'm going to Jay-Alexander's in Hyde Park. I have a celebratory cigar. Win or lose, obviously for getting out of the game healthy, and that was it. I did the same thing after every game for a decade straight. And if the people, if corporate from J. Alexander sees this, if you all don't bring back them goddamn honey butter biscuits, I know some honey butter croissants. Oh, man.

What did you do, Jay? I normally just went home. I'd go get something. Occasionally, we go to guys. Hold on. What is there something? What is there something you want to get? How do you feel about the media painting a false narrative about all your players who's going to leave Colorado while watching all these top school players hit the transfer portal? Okay, first of all, our first time when I got there, I only had that conversation with probably 20 players. The rest of them quit. The rest of them shut it down. That was the guy on his truth. I didn't say none about it, but that's what truly happened. Some of them thought they were just getting over on us right before the spring game, all the defense alignment.

But I think two of them, the interior alignment, got together and we're going to quit. You all ain't hurt me. That makes it easier for us to go into court and get them. I wish I could have talked to them before then because I'd have told them. At least you want to stay and play in the spring game because we're on national television and that's going to help you in the portal. But they didn't think about that. Also, they never did a follow-up, but I did. I'm not going to tell you the numbers, but all the players that got in the portal left, where are they now? Somebody should do that follow-up.
