Straight.

[00:04:15]

I'm from Dade County. I grew up in the 40s, man. I am who I am because of that community, man. Where I come from. I left Liberty City without really leaving. So it was awesome, man, to be able to smell them flowers, man, for all the work I put in, the philanthropy and all that I've given back to that community, man. That was really dope.

[00:04:37]

That was really dope of them.

[00:04:39]

You might have left physically, but you never left.

[00:04:41]

Oh, no. Mentally, emotionally.

[00:04:45]

[00:05:44]

Wait, you forgot, baby, you see the.

[00:05:47]

Shirt I got on?

[00:05:48]

Okay. Yeah. You want to talk about.

[00:05:50]

I got to talk about my ratless baby.

[00:05:54]

We'll make sure we get to the ratlage.

[00:05:56]

You want to do that later?

[00:05:58]

Yeah.

[00:05:59]

Okay. We'll do it later.

[00:06:01]

We'll do it later. Yeah.

[00:06:02]

But he's excited because the Rattlers won the Celebration bowl in Atlanta.

[00:06:06]

Yes, we did.

[00:06:07]

They beat the Howard Bison.

[00:06:09]

So we're going to make sure we talk about the Rattlers a little later. The marching 101. What is it? The marching 101.

[00:06:15]

Don't do that. Don't do that. Marching 100. Don't do that. You know what? It is the greatest band in the land. The greatest band ever assembled. Shout out to Shelby Chipman and Dr. White.

[00:06:25]

Okay.

[00:06:27]

The game that just ended moments ago, the Lions dominated the Broncos 40, 217. Jared Goff threw five touchdown passes. He was 2434-2785 touchdowns. The Lions are now ten and four and can clinch a playoff spot with a Seattle loss on Monday. They can clinch the division title for the first time with a win over the Vikings on Christmas Eve. So watching this game, what was one of your big takeaways from the game?

[00:06:56]

I mean, big takeaways from the game is the Lions look like the Lions.

[00:07:01]

That we used to seeing throughout the.

[00:07:03]

Entirety of the season. Obviously, they had a few games where we were like, what happened? What is going with Jared Goff? He was turning the ball over a lot, and those turnovers cost the team some of those games, some of those points. They weren't able to overcome that. But today, Jared Goff looked like himself. Obviously, you said 24 for 34 for 278, five tds. Aman St. Brown.

[00:07:23]

Boy, that boy.

[00:07:24]

Nice, man. Yeah, that boy is the real deal, man. He was seven for 112 with a td today. Jameer Gibbs, man, listen, I'm not saying.

[00:07:34]

He'S Chris Johnson, but there are only.

[00:07:37]

So many backs in the NFL that can hit the head off the goal post from anyone on the field, and he's one of them. And I can't wait to see him break one just so I can see him get out there and scat. One time. Just one time. He played well today. Goddamn Sam Laporte. He was very efficient, as.

[00:07:54]

Be he. And Kittle might be the Pro bowl representative for tight ends in the NFC. He's really good. Okay, Matthew, you're right, because he has great numbers and they're.

[00:08:07]

Yeah, but they just look good, man. They look good all the way around, especially defensively. But I wanted to focus more on the offense because the offense is sputtered a little bit, especially with golf and the turnovers. But the offense looked good, very efficient.

[00:08:20]

They look very good. Everybody got involved. You mentioned Laporte, the tight end. You mentioned Aman St. Brown. Wide receiver Jameson Williams had a big game, Josh Reynolds making plays. You mentioned David Montgomery. He starts the game, but Jamir Gibbs comes in, spells him, and he's one of the few backs. And I get what you're saying, ocho. He looks like he's running fast. A lot of guys don't look like they're moving. No, he looks like he's fast. He looked like he's trying to get someplace in a hurry. But they were really good once they got their rhythm. Because if you remember, ocho, if I'm not mistaken, the first three drives, they punted the football.

[00:08:55]

Yeah.

[00:08:55]

But then all of a sudden, they get their rhythm and they go, touchdown, touchdown.

[00:08:59]

Touchdown.

[00:09:00]

Touchdown. Punt, touchdown again. And so it just shows you the explosiveness that they have. I thought the Broncos were moving the ball fairly well. And then one turnover changed the whole complexion of a ball game.

[00:09:12]

Trying to throw the screen right.

[00:09:14]

It was a screen right.

[00:09:15]

Well, sometimes, ocho, you know what? And I get it. Trying to get the ball away, sometimes you just eat it. Say, you know what? That's a ten yard loss. Let me come back and try to get it on second down. Let me try to recoup some of that on third down. But the thing that you don't want to do is turn the football over.

[00:09:32]

Right.

[00:09:32]

And even though the Broncos defense didn't give up points is the fact that it took a lot out of your sale offense, and they really could never get back on track. And then they scored a touchdown and they call off sides. And I still didn't see who the offside was on, but I guess it is saying one of the offensive linemen helmet was over the ball, but I couldn't see it.

[00:09:52]

But maybe you saw something that I didn't see.

[00:09:55]

Maybe somebody in the chat saw something that I didn't.

[00:09:58]

The calls are getting a little bit ridiculous. A little bit ridiculous now. And now, obviously, because of what happened obviously because of what happened with Kadera's tony now they're just going to be calling. They're going to be nitpicking and calling every little thing. So now everything has to be perfect when it comes to alignment, because you.

[00:10:12]

Know what happened, ocho? You know what happened? Andy Reed, what they do is that they gather all, because they get all the footage from every game, and it's like this guy's offside. Look at that defensive line.

[00:10:23]

They send it to the league office.

[00:10:24]

They send it into the league, and.

[00:10:25]

Then the league office tell all the referees, now you got naive. Ruin it for every.

[00:10:29]

Goddamn it. That's it. You know, somebody do something and they tell, man, why? You told. You ruin it for everybody, bro, you got caught. You just go ahead and bite that bullet. Don't you worry about everybody else. Not everybody got to be on.

[00:10:43]

Everybody got to suck.

[00:10:45]

But Quinn Manirez, they said he was offside, said his helmet was over with the center hat.

[00:10:52]

Maybe he got a big head.

[00:10:54]

What if his head big and he.

[00:10:56]

Really can't help or control him having been offsides?

[00:11:00]

But here's my thing, though, ocho.

[00:11:02]

I don't know what.

[00:11:05]

Because you saw that play and then you see Sean Payton light into Russell Wilson. I don't know how you expect Russell to see that. Hey, man, you need to back up.

[00:11:14]

You think that's what it was for, though?

[00:11:17]

Honestly, I don't know.

[00:11:18]

You know what's funny?

[00:11:19]

You know what's funny is I like that. I like the coach getting into his quarterback when something isn't going right.

[00:11:26]

I think it's a cardinal sin or.

[00:11:28]

Rule number one, you never chastise your quarterback. You never chastise your quarterback in front of everybody. You always do it behind closed doors. You whisper it.

[00:11:36]

Or you definitely don't do it in television.

[00:11:39]

Yeah, you definitely don't do it on that. But the fact, I think that the relationship, in order for them, even though they lost today, for that relationship and that maturation process that Sean Payton and.

[00:11:48]

Russell Wilson have, I think for it.

[00:11:50]

To get where they wanted to go.

[00:11:52]

Things like that, you need to be able to be able to take that.

[00:11:55]

Because he expects greatness out of you. In order for the Broncos and that team to get where they need to get to whatever mistakes or whatever he was chastising Russell Wilson for, you can't make those mistakes.

[00:12:06]

You can't.

[00:12:07]

Whatever it might be.

[00:12:08]

But I don't know if he made a mistake, because if you remember, ocho, it was the touchdown and they called it offsides.

[00:12:14]

Right?

[00:12:14]

So I'm just trying to figure out how Russ was at fault. Russ was great on that drive.

[00:12:19]

Yeah, it must have been something we didn't see. It had to be something we didn't.

[00:12:21]

See because he hit the running back on a Texas route. He almost got in. They did the pitch to Javante Williams. He almost got in. And then they ended up, and then they ended up running the little belly play to the fullback. He did get in, but they threw the flag saying, he's off, know. So maybe it was something that transpired, ocho, during the drive that we didn't see.

[00:12:41]

Right.

[00:12:41]

But that's very strange to see the head coach light up the quarterback, a Russell Wilson type. Now, we've seen him jump all over Mullins, the guy that filled in for the backup in Minnesota. We've seen him get on second level or third string quarterback, but never the startup, especially of that ill. And so for that to happen, something had to seriously go wrong. But like I said, maybe we missed it. It couldn't have been on the three plays that I looked at in which they run a little Texas route, the running back gets stopped at the one. Javante Williams, I thought he got in. He gets stopped at the one, and then they run the belly to the fullback. He ended up getting in, and then they called off side. So I really don't know what Sean Payton got so upset about.

[00:13:32]

Yeah, but you know what else, when I think about it, the fact that when's the last time the Lions went to the playoffs?

[00:13:37]

You remember what year was probably?

[00:13:42]

I know the last time they won the division was 93.

[00:13:45]

Okay.

[00:13:47]

They won a division. I think they went to the playoffs in 2011. It might be 2011.

[00:13:54]

2011. They must have been a wild card. Yeah, they were. Yeah.

[00:14:00]

They ain't won the division, Ash. I'm sorry.

[00:14:10]

Yeah, they did.

[00:14:12]

I think they're going to win the division this year, too. Listen, the Lions remaining scheduled, they have.

[00:14:17]

The Vikings Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve.

[00:14:20]

Then they got the Cowboys, if I'm not mistaken.

[00:14:22]

Right?

[00:14:23]

Yes.

[00:14:24]

The Lions are four, and this season, the Lions are four and o in primetime games.

[00:14:30]

They haven't lost, right.

[00:14:32]

They haven't lost in prime time. Obviously, that's the best in the NFL. And I think they're going to win.

[00:14:38]

Their first division title since 93. Since 93, actually, they went again.

[00:14:44]

They went to the Playoffs also in 2016.

[00:14:46]

Right?

[00:14:46]

Yeah, I see it.

[00:14:47]

Yeah.

[00:14:47]

2016, they lost in the route card to goddamn. To the Seahawks, Seattle Seahawks.

[00:14:52]

Yeah, but I thought the Lions defense, ag Aaron Glenn has my boy. They get up your quarterback, they pursue to the football. Nobody gives up. Somebody runs down the field. You see defensive lineman chasing. That's what you like to see. The DBs are not giving up on plays. They can see no catches. They're fighting to the very end, trying to pull the ball out. So you like to see that the Broncos defense did not have one of their better playing games. But sometimes when you're on the road and the home team gets it rolling, it's hard to stop that avalanche.

[00:15:30]

Stop it?

[00:15:30]

Yeah, it is. It's hardest.

[00:15:33]

One person can't stop it at all.

[00:15:36]

No. You need somebody to make a play, a big play. Yeah. You get a pick, a scooping score or something like that. Hit the quarterback, the ball comes out.

[00:15:46]

You know who I really like, man?

[00:15:49]

From the Lions?

[00:15:51]

That goddamn Brian branch.

[00:15:53]

Oh, yeah. From Alabama.

[00:15:55]

Oh, man. Man, boy, that young fella all over the place.

[00:15:58]

Man, I like him a. Oh, they.

[00:16:01]

Got those linebackers hustle.

[00:16:04]

What's the one from Iowa? What's the one from Iowa that won the.

[00:16:08]

Yeah, yeah. He won the buckets award a couple years ago. Yeah, but both of those inside backers chase the football. They down here, guys, and sideline.

[00:16:17]

The sideline.

[00:16:18]

Yeah.

[00:16:20]

The Bengals. Your bingles winning overtime to keep their playoff hopes alive.

[00:16:26]

Who? They?

[00:16:27]

27 24. But I believe Minnesota head coach should be fired for throwing the ball.

[00:16:31]

But first of all, ocho.

[00:16:33]

Yes, sir.

[00:16:34]

The only team that can run the.

[00:16:35]

Tush push is who?

[00:16:37]

Oh, the Eagles.

[00:16:38]

And it's all based on the offensive line. I'm sure the head coach knew that. You knew that wasn't the work. What are you doing?

[00:16:45]

And you run it twice, and you got a running back that's already had run for 132 yards, and you don't give him the ball once, and then you have your smallest offensive line, the smallest offensive player doing the pushing.

[00:16:58]

Yeah.

[00:16:59]

You ain't got a 300 pound offensive lineman. You ain't got none of that. You got 170 pound little wide receiver.

[00:17:08]

Pushing him in the back. Yeah.

[00:17:09]

And you know, this is the funny thing. This is the funny thing about it.

[00:17:12]

It's all about matchups, skill, leverage.

[00:17:18]

What's the other word I'm looking for when it comes to that interior alignment?

[00:17:21]

The meat and potatoes of it, that officer line with the Eagles and officer.

[00:17:25]

Line for the goddamn Vikings is night and day. Yes, night and day. The defensive line with the Bengals matches up extremely well and much better than the offensive line of that of the Minnesota Vikings. That is why the push push didn't.

[00:17:38]

Work an inch a yard.

[00:17:40]

You know how much a yard is?

[00:17:42]

Yeah, that's this?

[00:17:45]

You couldn't get that twice.

[00:17:47]

What does that tell you? Right?

[00:17:49]

Well, you got no push from your offensive line.

[00:17:52]

You weren't finna get right?

[00:17:55]

Well, reader had gotten hurt, so he wasn't in there. He got hurt early in the ball game.

[00:17:59]

I forgot the other guy.

[00:18:00]

They. But they didn't get any. And so. But here's my thing, okay? You ran that play on third down. Why not give it to your running back who'd been running all day? Chandler had been running all up and down the field.

[00:18:13]

He'd been running up and down the field. Now, but you got to think about it. Now we on the goal line. Do you really want to run out on the goal line and then, you know, they bringing the shallow with the.

[00:18:21]

Ball in his hand on the goal line, or you want your backup quarterback with the ball on the goal line?

[00:18:24]

Which one you want?

[00:18:25]

I know one thing. You know what would have happened?

[00:18:28]

You know what would have happened?

[00:18:29]

Obviously, I think if they would have.

[00:18:31]

You would have blitzed and you weren't going to get that.

[00:18:34]

How about you do guess what the Bingles did? The Bingles tried to tush push. And on fourth down, who did they get a ball to? Joe Mixon. What did Joe Mixon do? He got blasted. He spun up a guy and got the ball in the end zone. That's what you do. You give the ball to guys that are used to carrying the ball in goal to go situations. Quarterbacks are not used to carrying the ball in go to go situations. And on the fourth down, Mullins, because the center got stymied, he ended up fumbling the ball. And so now he lose control of the ball. He gets no momentum. He got pushed back further than what the original line of scrimmage. Sometimes coaches, ocho, they overthink it. They overthink it. Listen, there's a reason why you got Chandler back there. You was willing to move on from Dalvin Cook for a reason.

[00:19:23]

Yeah.

[00:19:23]

You was willing to move on from Dalvin Cook.

[00:19:25]

Yeah.

[00:19:25]

So, obviously. Plus, also the other guy. Forget the other guy that was running. Chandler might be a rookie, but what's.

[00:19:33]

The other guy name? The running back.

[00:19:36]

He had a fumbling problem, though. So. He had a fumbling problem earlier.

[00:19:40]

This.

[00:19:43]

Guy, man. My goddamn bangles, man.

[00:19:45]

Listen, they found a way to win.

[00:19:47]

They found a way to win.

[00:19:48]

And the funny thing about it is.

[00:19:49]

Towards the end of the game, I was tweeting out what was going to happen in secession. And I was right. I was damn near right.

[00:19:57]

Madison, number two. Right?

[00:20:00]

Madison, he's the running.

[00:20:01]

Yeah. Yeah.

[00:20:02]

So I was tweeting out what was going to happen. For some reason, by the floor of the game, I could just tell. I said, listen, he threw a pass to T. Higgins. I think it was in the fourth quarter. I said, man, you got to keep that ball in bounds and just give t a chance because the DB was too short. T six, five six, foe. They came back.

[00:20:19]

What's up? What happened?

[00:20:22]

You and I talked about this all the time.

[00:20:24]

Yes, sir.

[00:20:25]

What don't you let a quarterback do? You don't let him roll out the pocket to his throwing hand.

[00:20:30]

To a throwing hand? Yeah.

[00:20:31]

Okay.

[00:20:31]

He rolled out the pocket and he hit t Higgins. So what did he do in overtime? What did they let him do again? Escape to the right. And he hit Boyd on the run. So you deserve exactly what you got. Because, you know, you don't let a quarterback, you keep him away from his throwing hand. If it's a right handed quarterback, you force him left. If it's a left handed quarterback, you force him right.

[00:20:51]

That's on the DN, though.

[00:20:52]

That's the end.

[00:20:54]

He can't get collapsed like that and allow him to get outside.

[00:20:57]

Yes, that's what I'm saying.

[00:21:01]

Sometimes you get so caught up in trying to make a play. But if I can't make a play, doing my responsibility, because now when they cut the tape on, they're going to.

[00:21:10]

Say what you're going to be looking at.

[00:21:12]

If you're a defensive player, like, bro, you got contained. You can't let him outside, you got.

[00:21:17]

To keep him inside.

[00:21:18]

So now you let the guy escape to his dominant hand twice. Once he makes an outstanding play. T Higgins makes an outstanding catch the ball crazy. Then in the process of going down, he throws his hand back and he gets the ball over the power.

[00:21:32]

That's great. Listen, I do the ratings for Madden. I'm going to go in there and change t Higgins awareness to 99 because his awareness, after making that catch, he can't even see the goal line.

[00:21:44]

No, just his awareness.

[00:21:45]

Just to put the ball, just to reach out, knowing exactly where he is. Man, that was dope, man. I'm excited for my bangles because I went out on the limb and said, you know what?

[00:21:55]

Damn, we out. We out.

[00:21:57]

And you say, no, we're not out the playoffs, okay? Our quarterback hurt. Joe Burrows hurt.

[00:22:01]

Jake Browning is the first quarterback, first.

[00:22:05]

Bangham quarterback to win his first three.

[00:22:09]

Or four, win three of his first.

[00:22:11]

Since Boomer size in 1984. We go into the playoffs and I said it on inside NFL. We're going to leap over the goddamn. Yeah, they got them Browns and Steelers, and we're going to get that goddamn wild card. And I'm telling you, we're going to surprise somebody in that first round of playoffs.

[00:22:29]

We got the Steelers left, we got.

[00:22:31]

The Chiefs, and we got the Browns.

[00:22:33]

Two of those. We're going to win.

[00:22:36]

I'm going to just be fair. I'm going to just say I'm going to be fair. The division games, I think we're going to win Chiefs. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but either way, if we win two.

[00:22:44]

Of those three, we get in the wild card. Yeah. Oh, yes.

[00:22:50]

That'll get you in there. That'll get you there.

[00:22:53]

Salute. Trey Henderson, baby.

[00:22:55]

Yeah, he's playing well. They're three and one since Joe Burrow suffered a season injury, a wrist injury. Browning had mentioned that he was motivated because the Vikings cut him in 2021 and it said it bothered him and how they cut him because he said, they said they're going to put him on the practice squad and go to the hotel. And he waited and he waited and waited. And his agent called him and said, they're releasing you. They're not putting you on the practice squad. He said they did it that way. They handled it. Okay. If you're going to put me in a practice squad, put them in the practice squad.

[00:23:29]

Okay.

[00:23:29]

I'm cool with that.

[00:23:30]

Right.

[00:23:30]

But don't have me just sitting there waiting in the hotel and y'all do some old dirty, conniving stuff like, that's a nasty business.

[00:23:37]

And you're funny.

[00:23:38]

You ain't see the clip. You ain't see the clip with Browning screaming, you shouldn't have cut me.

[00:23:45]

I didn't see it.

[00:23:47]

You got to read his lip.

[00:23:48]

You shouldn't have cut me. Yeah, I'm glad.

[00:23:51]

And he said, get your lick back, boy.

[00:23:55]

That's what I'm talking about.

[00:23:56]

And then he was hit with a drug test. After the game.

[00:23:59]

Right after the game.

[00:24:00]

I think that's something new, ocho, because I remember, no, not after the game. I got drug tested Monday morning. I got drug tested on a Tuesday morning or Friday. And they keep saying it's random, but nobody got drug tested more in Denver than Shannon Sharp. How is it random? And I'm getting drug tested every year more than everybody else.

[00:24:20]

Everybody else, right. Yeah.

[00:24:22]

That's funny. I think I got once after a.

[00:24:26]

Game, and I think it might have.

[00:24:27]

Been the Chargers game. We played the Chargers. I forgot what year? It was all I know it was Cromarti's rookie year when he was with the Chargers. I had 260 for three, TD to 260 for two.

[00:24:38]

Drug tests right after the game.

[00:24:40]

Drug test right after the game.

[00:24:42]

I'm like, hi.

[00:24:42]

That, there's no way that's random.

[00:24:45]

What drug they think you take it.

[00:24:48]

You need a higher dose. If you take it, if you take a steroid.

[00:24:51]

No, I was taking GDM back then.

[00:24:53]

GDM? Yeah, GD.

[00:24:55]

Don't you laughing.

[00:24:56]

I was taking GDM back then. And you don't know what GDM is? No. What is it, ocho?

[00:25:03]

Goddamn McDonald's.

[00:25:09]

Well, they should have checked your cholesterol because that one was through the roof. But your cholesterol.

[00:25:15]

Yeah, but it was funny. Certain people, there's no reason, listen, I'm.

[00:25:20]

Every bit of why you testing a.

[00:25:21]

Kicker or a, and have you seen some of their bodies?

[00:25:27]

They take the wrong kind of steroids or they backfired or.

[00:25:34]

Easy. Yeah.

[00:25:35]

Congratulations to the Bengals Jake Brown and played an unbelievable ball game. The Minnesota had an opportunity, ocho, to put some separation early. Remember Mullis threw two interceptions, one on like the two yard line and the other he threw another one. He was going down the D line.

[00:25:53]

Laying on his back.

[00:25:55]

He will never get an easier interception in his life.

[00:25:58]

That ain't none but the football guys right there.

[00:26:03]

The Colts hammer, the Steelers Gardner Minshew keeps their playoff hopes alive through for 215 yards, three scores, three different receivers. Indy trail 13 nothing midway through the second quarter, but then could score 30 unanswered points. The Colts are now eight and six, have won five or six to move into the bottom of the AFC south into playoff contention. They currently hold the number seven position.

[00:26:25]

In the AFC, which.

[00:26:33]

They say they want that playoff. They want that last, that wild card.

[00:26:37]

Who? The Colts magic garner Minshew, bad child.

[00:26:43]

Please listen. I like Minshew. I like Minshew.

[00:26:46]

He's nice, he's cool.

[00:26:49]

He has a nice supporting cast. They did well today, but again, they did play the Steelers.

[00:26:54]

Let's not get, they did play the Steelers.

[00:26:59]

It don't matter who out there.

[00:27:00]

I mean, I know it don't matter who out there, but look at the product. The Steelers lost the last two, not last. Know they no threat, which is why I said it three. I said it two three weeks ago. The Bengals are going to come back.

[00:27:12]

They're going to be a threat.

[00:27:14]

A threat to who?

[00:27:15]

They're going to be a threat to the Bengals.

[00:27:16]

And the coast don't want to see us. The coast don't have.

[00:27:18]

No, I've said the Steelers going to be a threat to you guys.

[00:27:21]

No, they not.

[00:27:22]

No, they're not.

[00:27:22]

No, they're not. No, they're not.

[00:27:24]

Not playing.

[00:27:24]

Steelers bad.

[00:27:26]

Steelers need the overhaul.

[00:27:27]

Ocho, slow down.

[00:27:30]

Slow down. The Steelers are having one bad season. I don't know about no overhaul already.

[00:27:35]

Their coach got damn Tom.

[00:27:36]

In the past 17 years, he's been above 500 every single year. Every single year.

[00:27:43]

I don't know about you. That's not the standard for the Steelers. The Steelers are by championships. We got to stop rewarding. Oh, he above 500. That's not why they pay you eight, $9 million to be above 500.

[00:27:54]

They pay you for championships and to.

[00:27:55]

Get the team in the playoffs, make deep playoff run. When was the last time the Steelers.

[00:27:59]

Made a deep playoff run? Well, I mean, that's a minute, wait a minute.

[00:28:03]

This is a new team. This is the new regime. You got new players. It doesn't just happen like that. It don't just happen like that. Now you have to build, you have to build your.

[00:28:12]

What we do here on this podcast is we hold people accountable. Even the people that we like, we.

[00:28:17]

Got to hold them accountable.

[00:28:18]

Okay, so you think it's time for overhaul for real?

[00:28:21]

No, I'm saying, I mean, you said.

[00:28:23]

The word overhaul, so you mean players.

[00:28:26]

Players.

[00:28:27]

But Mike got to do a better job. We got to stop. Well, he's never had a losing, huh? Well, it's been a long time that we thought the Steelers were going to be a threat to win something, too.

[00:28:39]

Other than the.

[00:28:40]

Right now I get it. A lot of know, Ben got old. They held on to Ben. Ben held on a lot longer than.

[00:28:47]

What he should have.

[00:28:49]

And when you got guys like that, and that's what the Steelers, the Steelers are known for, loyalty especially. They're really good players. If you go back and look at those 70 Steelers, they didn't get cut. They just got old and they got rid of them. And that's why they struggled late 80s into the 90s. They had that one year in the 90s because Lambert and Ham and Joe, Mean Joe and LC and Greenwood and male blunt and all those guys got.

[00:29:16]

Old at once, right?

[00:29:17]

Well, you got ten hall of Famers that get old at once, ocho. Yeah, you're going to be bad shape. Try to replace all that because the likelihood of you finding replacement players for.

[00:29:26]

Those guys aren't very good. But the Steelers, man, ocho, they need quarterback. Okay, let's stop right there. Go ahead.

[00:29:35]

Let's stop right there.

[00:29:36]

I say they don't need an overhaul.

[00:29:39]

I'm a Kenny Pickett fan. I am a huge fan of Pickett.

[00:29:41]

Oh, Joe, he ain't Pickett.

[00:29:44]

Finish. Let me finish.

[00:29:45]

Let me finish. Kenny Pickett is a good quarterback.

[00:29:50]

I don't think he hasn't matured to the point where Kenny Pickett is the answer to being a franchise quarterback and a quarterback that can get the Steelers.

[00:29:58]

Back to prominent winning consistently.

[00:30:03]

Meaning every time we have a season, we're going to be in contention year in and year out.

[00:30:08]

When you had Big Ben, you knew.

[00:30:10]

Year in, a year out, you're going to be in goddamn contention to be playing in the playoffs and a chance at a Lombardi trophy. I don't think Kenny Pickett is that guy just yet. Obviously, it's only year two.

[00:30:19]

Year two or year three for Kenny two. It's only year two.

[00:30:23]

So I'd say give him another year and see where he is.

[00:30:28]

And every team, all teams already that.

[00:30:32]

Don'T have a franchise quarterback are a.

[00:30:34]

Quarterback away are a quarterback away from changing their franchise.

[00:30:40]

That's all it comes down to. That's all it comes down to. When you finally find that franchise quarterback, all you have to do is build around him because they had the weapons, he had the supporting cast.

[00:30:50]

You got the running backs, you got the receivers.

[00:30:52]

Deontay Johnson. And goddamn.

[00:30:56]

The attitude is mean.

[00:31:00]

Let's think about why they're upset. Understand why you just mentioned it. You just said it out yourself. You just said yourself.

[00:31:10]

We'Ve all been in situation where the quarterback was less than ideal.

[00:31:14]

Right?

[00:31:15]

But that's frustrating. I'm sure you got upset too when your quarterback was less than. Well, you got lucky. Well, shit, you had goddamn John Airway.

[00:31:25]

I did.

[00:31:26]

You was fortunate. Everybody wasn't as fortunate as you was when they played.

[00:31:30]

I played 14 years. I had John for nine of those years. And also John missed half a season one year.

[00:31:37]

But, ocho, here's the thing.

[00:31:39]

For me, I always tried to put on a positive because I didn't want the younger guys to think that behavior was acceptable.

[00:31:47]

Right?

[00:31:49]

I came to work. I was a professional at all times. I came to work on time. I went to meeting on time. I practiced hard. I did what I was supposed to because I wanted to show the younger guys this is what it takes to be successful. You want to have a long career, you want to win, this is what you need to do. Yeah, I got frustrated, ocho. Yes, I want the ball. Yes, I believe I can help this team out. Of this funk if I were to.

[00:32:13]

Get the ball, but I just want.

[00:32:15]

To know what was pouting and throwing helmets and throwing water coolers. What the hell was that going to help?

[00:32:21]

That ain't going to give me the ball.

[00:32:22]

It won't get you the ball, but being able to.

[00:32:27]

It'S hard for receivers. When you get frustrated, sometimes your emotions get the best of you. I'm trying to think, have I ever.

[00:32:38]

Gotten like that on the sideline? I think maybe once. Yeah, maybe once.

[00:32:42]

Maybe once.

[00:32:43]

I was one that didn't want to show up any of my teammates. I didn't want to show up my.

[00:32:46]

Exactly.

[00:32:47]

So I was able to control it because I knew the camera was always on me, so I kind of kept it mellow, even though I was frustrated on the inside. And you could tell by my body language when things weren't going well or they were allowing another team to dictate whether I can get the ball or not. And that shit really pissed me off.

[00:33:02]

That shit really pissed me off.

[00:33:04]

That grinded my goddamn testicles when they allowed another team to dictate whether I.

[00:33:08]

Can get off or not. That bothered me.

[00:33:10]

We did not game plan and have meetings for hours and hours and hours of practice and watch hours and hours of film to come out here on a Sunday and tell them, well, if you play this defense, we can't get the ball. 85.

[00:33:22]

That don't sit right with me. That just don't sit right with me.

[00:33:25]

Because if that's the case, then I need to goddamn practice.

[00:33:28]

You're going to let them do me like that? That's just my mindset in the way I thought. But that's neither here nor there.

[00:33:37]

And the thing is, I'm a big believer in that. Showing up the quarterback.

[00:33:44]

That never.

[00:33:44]

That was the relationship that I had with John. I was never going to show him up. All I asked him, look, give me an opportunity to protect myself because I'm going to do my best to come down with it or it's going to be incomplete, and I'm never going to.

[00:33:58]

Give up on a play.

[00:33:59]

And so he didn't, like, if he missed you, you like, oh, matter of.

[00:34:05]

Fact, yo, I did that once to Carson. We were playing the Steelers.

[00:34:13]

He overshot a ball. He overshot it, or it was out of reach. And I was wide open and I took my chin strap and I snapped that bitch. Soon as the know it was out of reach, man, I walked back to the huddle. That nigga Carson said, man, if you ever motherfucking do some shit like that again, I won't throw your ass the ball the rest of the game.

[00:34:33]

That's what a.

[00:34:35]

That was the a. You like catching?

[00:34:39]

Yeah. He said, you won't get no more.

[00:34:41]

Listen, I ain't never seen Nya snap.

[00:34:44]

On me like that one time.

[00:34:46]

I never forget we was playing the Steelers. And the fact that when we're playing.

[00:34:49]

The Steelers, the balls and opportunities I'm.

[00:34:52]

Going to get are already slim to none, because when I come out the huddle, they are making the defensive play call based on where I line up.

[00:35:00]

So I already know the two or.

[00:35:02]

Three balls or four balls I might get.

[00:35:04]

I got to make the most of them.

[00:35:07]

And when he missed that one, man.

[00:35:09]

I snapped my motherfucking chin strap walking back to the huddle, and, man, he came into my face mask and said.

[00:35:15]

Man, if you ever motherfucking showed me.

[00:35:19]

Up like that again, you'll never catch.

[00:35:20]

A motherfucking ball again.

[00:35:24]

I ain't even say nothing, goddamn. It was a primetime game.

[00:35:28]

It was a primetime game. Yeah.

[00:35:31]

I hope when we edit, I hope somebody could find that clip.

[00:35:34]

Somebody could be a good reference. Yeah. John didn't play that, and so I always made sure, I was like, hey.

[00:35:41]

Bro, don't do that.

[00:35:42]

Don't do that.

[00:35:44]

That ain't what we.

[00:35:47]

Yeah, I lost myself, though, that one time. I lost myself that one time.

[00:35:51]

But see, that's the thing, though, ocho.

[00:35:54]

Is that I didn't show him up.

[00:35:56]

And when I dropped the pass, or I did, we talked about it as a sideline, or we talked about that in the meeting room, he's like, hey, I need you a little deeper on this one right here. Right know, so forth and so on. We had a conversation because I know he didn't like me to show him up, but he knows that. All that yelling and cursing.

[00:36:21]

What about you talking to like that?

[00:36:22]

I know that where you talking to.

[00:36:24]

Me like, man, please.

[00:36:26]

So listen, we had a great relationship. We had a great understanding of the things that. How we communicated with each other to get each other's point across.

[00:36:35]

So check this out. Ocho Cadarius, Tony.

[00:36:39]

Need to let it go, bro. Andy Reed was fined $100,000 for criticizing the official. Patrick Mahomes was fined $50,000. Now, you do know. You know, I know they got those.

[00:36:53]

Penalties because.

[00:36:56]

They was yelling at the officials, really talking to Caderius Tony, so they got docked $150,000 covering from him. This is what he told reporters, whether it was an inch, two inches, or whatever in front of the ball. The referee got a job to let me know.

[00:37:13]

He doesn't.

[00:37:14]

He didn't make no effort. You watch the video? He didn't make no effort to say anything. No alignment. So apparently he wanted to do that regardless. Ocho, football 101, it's the two a's, alignment and assignment. You can't do a damn thing on the field if you don't know your alignment or your assignment.

[00:37:34]

Yeah.

[00:37:35]

That's your responsibility.

[00:37:39]

Yeah.

[00:37:39]

Instead of saying, you know what, again, what did I tell you? I say, see, he ain't got no personal accountability. I told that. See, I've been telling you that for the longest time.

[00:37:48]

He just told you.

[00:37:49]

Instead of saying, you know what?

[00:37:51]

I was wrong.

[00:37:52]

I lined up offside. I've got to do a better job of making sure my alignment is correct, because that falls on Kaderius, Tony.

[00:37:59]

That falls on me. Right.

[00:38:00]

But I was wrong, and I let my team down. You see what he did? He put the blame on the official. Accountability is everything, Ocho. So it tells me he still hasn't learned his lesson.

[00:38:12]

Yeah, I think he learned his lesson. I guarantee, forget what he said. But I'm guarantee you, when he comes back for the next following game. Wait, who they got? Who they got next?

[00:38:22]

The Chiefs.

[00:38:23]

Who the Chiefs got next? Oh, they got the Patriots.

[00:38:25]

Patriots.

[00:38:26]

The Chiefs got the Patriots. I guarantee don't line up offside this game. I guarantee line up offside, the game after that, I guarantee when they get to the goddamn playoffs, I bet you don't line up off sides.

[00:38:37]

So in other words, are they going to make any more boneheaded plays?

[00:38:40]

No, I bet he don't. I bet $100. Okay, bet it.

[00:38:47]

I bet $100. Cadarius, Tony don't make no more mistakes.

[00:38:51]

Bet 100.

[00:38:52]

Bet it. Run it.

[00:38:53]

Matter of fact, and I bet another.

[00:38:55]

Hunted, he don't drop no balls.

[00:38:58]

I'm like Chris Brown, run it.

[00:39:00]

All right.

[00:39:00]

See if he can run it.

[00:39:01]

Run it. Say less. Oh, show.

[00:39:06]

I know what you mean, though.

[00:39:08]

It was about to die down. That happened a week ago. So instead of, look here, my grandma.

[00:39:13]

Said, boy, the reporters asked him, he's just not savvy enough with the reporters to say they ignored.

[00:39:20]

He just answered, probably with no ill intent, just answering the question. In general, intent only matters to him, right?

[00:39:29]

You know, the difference between murder and manslaughter is intent. One, you intentionally meant to kill him, the other, you accidentally. But the victim is just as dead. So intent only matters to the defendant, not the victim, because he's just as dead. So whatever his intents were.

[00:39:45]

It did not matter because that's what he said. Hey, you used to watch Matlock?

[00:39:50]

No, I was a criminal justice major.

[00:39:52]

Okay. I was going to say, because you sound like a goddamn lawyer now. Good, I like that.

[00:39:58]

If that football thing didn't work out, that's going to.

[00:40:04]

But that's the thing, though, ocho.

[00:40:07]

You know what he's like at some point in time. Remember, you and I talked about it, how some people will blame everybody else for what's going on in their life? Oh, it's this. With that, it was the police and it was the government, and it was my girlfriend, it was my boyfriend, it was my mom. They not helping me. Okay, so where's your culpability in any of. So you ain't do nothing?

[00:40:29]

You know what the funny thing about it is? I think that's not just a caderius Tony problem. That's a problem with society. And of course, absolutely never wanting to take accountability. Most of the time it's leading to the female. The female species. I think they have an issue with taking accountability. The finger is always pointing the opposite way and not actually seeing it at times. You know what?

[00:40:53]

Maybe I am the problem and the.

[00:40:54]

Same thing with his fellas, but it's something that I think a lot of people. A lot of people struggle with in.

[00:41:02]

Blaming others and not seeing them being the issue at any time. Yeah.

[00:41:09]

And for me, ocho, I've never been.

[00:41:12]

One that was too proud to say I was wrong.

[00:41:14]

To say I was too proud to say I was sorry.

[00:41:16]

Right.

[00:41:17]

Even as I've ascended through the economic pyramid, right. Even as I've become more known, I'm not too big to say I'm sorry. I'm not too big to say I'm wrong. Because if I was wrong, I was wrong.

[00:41:30]

I'm wrong.

[00:41:30]

I have a question. Yes.

[00:41:32]

As long as you've been alive, as long as you've been dating, just in general, in life, how many times have.

[00:41:38]

You ever heard a woman, for one, take accountability for her actions or said sorry? Be honest with me.

[00:41:46]

Now, if you have to think about it a little bit, be honest with me. How many times you had a woman say, I'm sorry when she's messed up, or actually take accountability for actions.

[00:41:56]

For her actions? Well, that'd be really hard to say because. Thank you.

[00:42:06]

You're proven a point, baby.

[00:42:07]

That's ocho. But here's the thing.

[00:42:10]

The fact that you can't even tell me right off the top of your.

[00:42:12]

Head, what does that tell you, ocho?

[00:42:16]

I am 55.

[00:42:18]

Right?

[00:42:18]

I've dated some women in my time. And here's the thing, ocho. Sometimes I didn't give a damn what they told me.

[00:42:25]

I was out.

[00:42:26]

They could have said I was wrong. I'm sorry. My bad.

[00:42:31]

You don't believe in second chance?

[00:42:32]

Yes, I absolutely do.

[00:42:35]

Okay?

[00:42:36]

But when you no longer want to be in a situation, it doesn't matter.

[00:42:39]

What they say, okay?

[00:42:43]

I've been in that very situation where I've told someone, I'm sorry, and I apologize. But they say, rochelle, it's too late.

[00:42:50]

Okay.

[00:42:51]

Yeah, it happens.

[00:42:54]

That's so hard.

[00:42:55]

I know. I'm going to let you finish, but.

[00:42:58]

When I look at you as someone.

[00:42:59]

I look up to, not only football.

[00:43:02]

Player accolades and all that stuff, but obviously a father, a businessman, entrepreneur, what you're doing with just. I'm trying to sit here and even fathom a woman sitting here telling you, oh, Shannon, I don't want to be with you. No, that don't even sound right to me, honestly.

[00:43:16]

No, that don't even sound right.

[00:43:18]

Well, maybe they didn't see the motherfucking light. I don't mean to apologize. Maybe they didn't see the light. And where you were going in the fucking vision to say, I'm up and leaving on, nigga, who the fuck leaving, unc? Not the one popping them goddamn diamonds.

[00:43:38]

Yes, sir. But you know what, ocho? You can't stay in the bed always. You got to come up out of the bed. You might be in the bed, you know, your boy might be in the.

[00:43:46]

Bed, 25, 35 minutes, little clip. But, you know, right?

[00:43:51]

You got breakfast, you got lunch. You sit on the couch, and you talk at wife's television. But I think the thing is, everybody, no matter how good looking a woman.

[00:43:58]

Is, somebody has said, I don't want.

[00:44:01]

To be with you anymore. No matter how popular a man is, no matter how much money he's made, somebody has said, I want to move on. And so when people say, oh, she only with him because he got this or he only.

[00:44:13]

Look, it's just as easy to love.

[00:44:16]

A rich man as it is a poor man. So what you think they're supposed to do? Well, I don't want that rich man. I want the poor man to show you that I really love him. Do you all sound foolish? People, do you understand how foolish you sound? Come on. A woman should go be with someone. If somebody wants to be with her, that's making 10 million, 50 million, 100 million a year to prove that she loves this man. No, I'm going to go be with the person that makes 100,000.

[00:44:43]

What? Come on, preacher. Who?

[00:44:45]

What scenario? Stop sounding dumb.

[00:44:48]

Right.

[00:44:48]

You sound dumb when you say that. It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as it is a poor man.

[00:44:55]

Yes, sir. I have a question. Everything you just said, is it safe to say, regardless of who it is.

[00:45:06]

You date, whether rich or poor, that everyone, relationship or whatever they have going on, situation, marriage.

[00:45:13]

Do you think everything comes with an expiration date? Possibly.

[00:45:21]

It all depends. Because, ocho, it's work every day.

[00:45:26]

Yeah.

[00:45:28]

Today's podcast is not the same as Thursday podcast. And tonight's podcast won't be the same as tomorrow, and tomorrow won't be the same as Monday, and Monday won't be the same as Wednesday, Thursday, so forth and so on. So a lot of times when people think. When they get married, people think the job is over. Well, I'm married now. No, this is what I tell guys when it wants to get to the NFL. I say, now, your journey is not ended. Your journey is just started. You dreamed of being here. Now the journey starts. So when you get married. I've never been married, but I've been in relationships, and I know a lot of mistakes that I've made is that I got into the relationship and I stopped working. I didn't work nearly as hard in the relationship as I did to get the individual.

[00:46:13]

Come on, preacher.

[00:46:14]

And I'm not foolish enough or I'm not naive enough to know that I know that.

[00:46:18]

Hold on, let me write that down. Let me make sure. Wait a minute. Let me get my motherfucking pen and paper, because I'm not going to stop working. You got me fucked up. I think I'm.

[00:46:26]

Yeah, you got to work. You got to work because the rail that you met is different than the.

[00:46:32]

Rail right now, and she going to.

[00:46:34]

Be different tomorrow, and so are you.

[00:46:36]

Right.

[00:46:37]

So there's a continuation that when you're.

[00:46:40]

In a relationship, that you've got to.

[00:46:44]

Continue to work in order for it to grow. I mean. Let me ask you a question, ocho. When you buy plants or you buy something, do you just water it one time, or do you have to continuously water or do you have to continuously tend to it?

[00:46:55]

You got to tend to it all the time. I mean, obviously, I see relationships is.

[00:46:59]

Similar to the upkeep.

[00:47:01]

If you have a rose garden. If you have plants. I hate using that analogy, but you see where I'm going with it.

[00:47:07]

Yeah, but do we talk about upkeep? And the maintenance and the thing in order for it to grow and in.

[00:47:11]

Order for it to grow and in the same thing. Her and I have these talks all the time. I like to have the tough conversations. How are we going to last? How are we going to defeat the odds? You know, relationships and marriages. You see what the statistics are, right?

[00:47:24]

Yeah.

[00:47:26]

How are we going to outdo that? What's going to beat the ods any different? How are we going to beat the ods also? Are we going to evolve or are.

[00:47:33]

We going to grow apart? Are we going to grow together?

[00:47:35]

Now we have the craziest conversations. You have to be before we take that motherfucking walk. Because once you take that walk down.

[00:47:43]

Aisle, oh, baby, ain't no coming back.

[00:47:47]

I need to nip all that bullshit out the motherfucking way now, ahead of time. What's it going to be like to live with you? What's it going to be like when you mad? I need to see you in all your seasons.

[00:47:57]

I need to see in all your.

[00:47:58]

Seasons before I even walk down that app.

[00:48:00]

Yeah, well, the greatest trick to survival.

[00:48:02]

Is adaptability, and the greatest trick to sustain anything is to being able to adapt. Because if your person, you can't be so rigid in your thought process is.

[00:48:13]

That it's this way.

[00:48:14]

And when she's going through her things.

[00:48:16]

You, like, suck it up.

[00:48:17]

I mean, there are times that you got to give tough love and to make sure that. But you also got to be that supportive, and I haven't always been that. A lot of times, I was more concerned about me.

[00:48:26]

Come on, now.

[00:48:27]

Hey, I need you to support me. Keep me propped up.

[00:48:32]

When she needed me at my best.

[00:48:36]

When she needed me the most, I wasn't there. And ocho, I didn't know that at the time it took me being out of that situation. And a lot of times, because I spent a lot of time alone, is that now I sit back and I have the luxury of hindsight, the magnificent science of knowing today what I didn't know yesterday.

[00:48:58]

So now I'm like.

[00:49:00]

And you try not to, but when you've done something as long as I.

[00:49:04]

Have, it's hard to break that.

[00:49:06]

And so I've tried to be a better listener, a better communicator, because like I say, ocho and I tell this story all the time. My therapist told me, she said, Mr. Sharp, you speak in Mandarin, she's speaking Spanish, and one of you guys got to learn the other's language or it's not going to work, because you're communicating.

[00:49:21]

And you don't know what, you don't.

[00:49:24]

Know what the other is.

[00:49:26]

Hers.

[00:49:27]

Her form of communication is affirmation. Tell her she looks good. Tell her she's fine, I say, but I tell her that. But she wants me to be like a pep rally. I mean, from the time she get up, like, boom, shock block. You look good. Oh, yes. Unbelievable. Wow.

[00:49:45]

Bam. Now, did you say that women that.

[00:49:50]

Say words of affirmation are their love language for that? But the fact that I think when.

[00:49:56]

Women hear you look good, you this.

[00:49:59]

You that, from the same person over and over and over and over and over, it doesn't hit the same as hear from someone. It doesn't hit the same no matter what you say. It's crazy. But back on the topic. On the basis that we were talking.

[00:50:13]

About, I think listening and compromising and.

[00:50:18]

Communicating are probably three of the most important things.

[00:50:21]

Compromise.

[00:50:21]

Absolutely. Especially.

[00:50:23]

But let me ask you a question.

[00:50:24]

Yeah.

[00:50:25]

Are you listening to respond or are you listening to understand? Because there are two different things when.

[00:50:30]

It comes to a woman. Are you listening to understand?

[00:50:33]

Yeah.

[00:50:33]

Because we think differently.

[00:50:37]

So I try to put myself in her shoes when she's talking to get a better understanding on where she's coming from.

[00:50:43]

A lot of times, women base their facts on feelings. I feel this way, so it's got to be true. Feelings aren't facts.

[00:50:50]

Facts aren't feelings. Right? Yeah.

[00:50:53]

And what I've had to learn and I've had to.

[00:50:59]

Do you want this.

[00:51:00]

To work, or do you want to be right? What is it that you want, ocho? Do you want it to work, or do you want to be right? Because for the longest time, I wanted to be right. I've always been this debater. I've always been this guy that.

[00:51:16]

Okay, well, let me tell you, this is what it is, okay?

[00:51:19]

But in the process of me being.

[00:51:22]

Right is not helping us. Us. Yeah.

[00:51:28]

Now, because you got to look at it.

[00:51:29]

It's us.

[00:51:30]

Not an I, not a me.

[00:51:32]

It's a us. It's a we.

[00:51:36]

But in that moment, I'm thinking about me. You're wrong. You own your own you on the island. You wrong.

[00:51:41]

And let me tell you, boom, boom, boom.

[00:51:43]

I just laid out so elaborately, I'm feeling good inside. I told her not look at your feet. She did right. But in the process, what I've done is I chipped away at the foundation of us. And she's like, now I see it ain't no us. It's a you versus me.

[00:52:02]

Me. Yeah.

[00:52:03]

And so I've had, and slowly but surely, I've tried to get out of that mindset of it's a we and not a me. Not the chip at the foundation, the fabric that could hold us together. So it's a trial and error. I'm not perfect. I'm never going to be perfect. I've never professed to be perfect. I made some mistake. Go make some more.

[00:52:25]

Yeah, see, that's the thing about it. I don't want to make the most mistakes. I've done the trial and error already. I've done the trial and error for goddamn 2025 years. So I've been through it enough. I've touched the stove enough to know.

[00:52:39]

The motherfucking stove is hot.

[00:52:40]

The stove is hot. It's going to burn you when you do certain things. So I should be out of that stage by now?

[00:52:46]

Yes.

[00:52:47]

My grandma had a saying. My granddaddy had a saying. He should tell my grandma all the time. God damn it, bestie flowers.

[00:52:53]

Yes.

[00:52:54]

Do you want to be motherfucking happy or you want to be right?

[00:52:57]

Pick one because you can't get both of them right. No.

[00:53:00]

Pick one because you can't get both of them. You want to be happy? You want to be right?

[00:53:03]

I tell real all the time. Every time.

[00:53:06]

Every blue moon, we might get into it. Listen, I'm not going to say and act like we don't have no more.

[00:53:09]

Fucking problems, but we are good. We don't argue. We are good, baby.

[00:53:15]

Listen, man, you want to be happy? You want to be right? Let me know what you want to be.

[00:53:18]

Because you can't be both. And if you think you can be.

[00:53:21]

Both, you're living in a fairy tale.

[00:53:23]

Bad. The Chad calling me Unc Winfrey. You all be killing me, man. But it's right. And that's the thing. You want to be right or you want to be right, or you want somebody to be happy. And sometimes, you know what, ocho? Sometimes it's better to be wrong and keep the peace.

[00:53:51]

Sometimes I lose.

[00:53:52]

Sometimes I lose on Joe. You know how you play it. I know you don't have pets, but sometimes I'll be playing tug of war with my dog, and I let it win, and he'll get it. He'll go praying for nothing. Like, yeah, you could take it from me sometimes. I let him win. Oh, yeah, I got him on this one. No, you did not let you win. But that's okay. You don't need to know that.

[00:54:13]

You know what's funny, though? You know what's funny, that's a little.

[00:54:16]

Bit antagonizing, too, because sometimes rail want.

[00:54:21]

To argue, and she'll say something.

[00:54:24]

She'll say something and be ready for.

[00:54:26]

Me to bounce back. I'd be like, you know what, baby.

[00:54:31]

You right, yeah, you can't get o choke.

[00:54:37]

Hey, boy, that make a matter, that.

[00:54:40]

Make it even more matter. But that's all you're going to say back.

[00:54:47]

But see, when you young ocho, as you start to get older, see, when I was young, and I ain't take my 20 milligrams or don't fuck with me. Yeah, I woke up with hell on my mind.

[00:54:56]

Are you ready?

[00:54:57]

Yeah, I woke up with hell on my mind. Yeah. Looking for argument.

[00:55:01]

Listen, when you're young, you like to argue. When you're young, you love the argument.

[00:55:06]

But you look at Twitter every day. Any topic it is, anything going on with any celebs, or they break up or something happen, or anything going in.

[00:55:14]

The world, well, God damn. Oh, everybody ready.

[00:55:18]

They be going fighting back and forth.

[00:55:20]

You don't even know these people.

[00:55:23]

Back and forth by people that don't even know you.

[00:55:28]

What did I say? If I can't bring my dog, I'm not.

[00:55:39]

You saw, I retweeted earlier. You saw that big ass Gray Dane in the kitchen.

[00:55:44]

I see it, boy. The lady in that cooking, the dog.

[00:55:51]

Looked bigger than the goddamn kitchen. Like a goddamn horse.

[00:55:55]

Yeah, they get big.

[00:55:56]

They get seven and a half feet, stand on their legs.

[00:55:59]

Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound. Get like that. Irish Wolfhound.

[00:56:03]

Yeah, Irish Wolfhound is the biggest. It's bigger than a Great Dane. But as far as weight, you talk about the english mastiff that can get.

[00:56:14]

Up to 300 pounds, but ain't healthy.

[00:56:17]

No, but like my dog. I mean, my dog weighs like 170, but he athletic. He's athletic.

[00:56:28]

Athletic. He moved with it.

[00:56:30]

Oh, yeah.

[00:56:34]

And he good.

[00:56:35]

He hear the doorbell ring, he go.

[00:56:37]

Get on his place.

[00:56:39]

He get on his. Just sit there. He just sitting there and watch.

[00:56:44]

Now, he ain't gonna stay on that.

[00:56:45]

Spot long, because when the cleaning people.

[00:56:47]

Come, Blanca and Vicky. He loves Vicky.

[00:56:51]

Yeah, he loves Vicky. That's the only time that I have to really correct him, because it's like.

[00:56:58]

That'S his best friend.

[00:57:00]

He'd be all in the room, she all on the floor with him, rubbing him both feet up in the air. Yeah, he's just no daddy. I'll listen to you in a minute. Let her get five more minutes with me.

[00:57:13]

Let's get back on topic.

[00:57:14]

Richard Sherman, fires back at criticism for supporting both 49 ers and Seahawks. Sherm said, I will support the teams I played for. You need to remember we brought the city that championship, not vice versa. So I will support both 49 ers and Seahawks. Acting like you gave me something, like I owe you something. You need to appreciate the team that brought you and stay in your lane. I get that, ocho, because, you know, look, I played with the Broncos for twelve years. Ten went to Baltimore for ₩2 a championship, went back to Denver for two. So of my 14 years, I played for two teams. Twelve. One team, two with the other one championships. So if I cheer for the Ravens, man, what about your loyalty to the Broncos? I cheer for the Broncos. Well, you did know you play for the Ravens.

[00:58:00]

And now you know Travis.

[00:58:02]

Kel, my nephew Travis Kelsey. Man, how you do.

[00:58:07]

I can't.

[00:58:08]

I can't like nobody else but Bronco. And.

[00:58:13]

Listen, my allegiance will always be. Obviously, we know my allegiance is to the Bengals. I had a short stint with the Patriots in 2011, whatever year that was.

[00:58:23]

But yeah, I don't even know what.

[00:58:27]

Year it was, man. I don't care about the football once I stopped playing, but my legions is going to the Bengals. And obviously after the Bengals, it's the Dolphins.

[00:58:34]

Obviously.

[00:58:35]

I'm born from Miami, born and raised. Liberty City, Dade county, for all you all in the chat, and it will always be that. Oh, it always has been. Before I was drafted, the Bengals, I was a Dolphins fan. I was a little kid, a little shorty, going to the game at the goddamn Orange bowl, watching Mark Duper and Mark Clayton shoot, goddamn, damn arena. Yeah, the Marx brothers, man. Back in the days and shit. When I got drafted, obviously that's where.

[00:58:57]

My bangled them comes from.

[00:59:00]

And that's how it would be. No matter what anybody had. Nobody ever gave me any gripes about it because obviously, common sense, they understood I was from Miami and I played.

[00:59:10]

But it's different because I spent twelve years with one and only two with the other. And I have, like I said, ozzy, I still talk to Ozzy, I still talk to a couple of people at the Ravens. Kevin Byrne, who's no longer Chad, still took Kevin Byrne's place, but I still talked to Kev, I talked to Chad. Chad wasn't with the team when I was there. I talked to a few people, but when you spend twelve years and, you know, chip still there, and I don't know any of the athletic, the trainers now, but the equipment guy, I still know them, the videographers. I still know them, but all the coaches turned over. Ocho is under new ownership and it's a little different.

[00:59:55]

Honestly, it is a little different now.

[00:59:58]

Because a lot of the people that was there with Mr. Boland and some of the guys that when Mike staff got left and then cool came in and there was some know going back. But it's different is it is. I'm not going to say they treat me different when I go get.

[01:00:14]

They still treat me great.

[01:00:16]

The fans are still great to me. I haven't been back to a Ravens game, but for the most part, the.

[01:00:21]

Ravens fans.

[01:00:23]

I haven't because I've been working. I work and people are like, well, why you don't go to the games? I said, because it's hard for me to watch all the other games when I'm at a game.

[01:00:38]

Okay, I see what you mean.

[01:00:39]

Because now I've got to talk about the Cowboys, I've got to talk about the Eagles, I've got to talk about Kansas City, I've got to talk about this one. And it gets extremely hard when you're just watching that game, right? So a lot of times I find.

[01:00:51]

Myself, I would be up in the.

[01:00:53]

Suites and I'm not enjoying the game at the field. I'm watching. They got the Cowboys on this one and they got other team on that one. And I'm doing my job because I know come Monday I'm going to have.

[01:01:03]

To talk about it. And so that's know, I got a question.

[01:01:09]

With your extreme knowledge for the game.

[01:01:11]

What you think about doing play by play like that?

[01:01:14]

Never.

[01:01:15]

Because here's the thing, ocho, you can't.

[01:01:18]

Be as honest as you need to be.

[01:01:20]

Why?

[01:01:20]

Because if you are, they won't do.

[01:01:22]

A production meeting with you. Serious? No, I see you going with it.

[01:01:31]

I see where you're going with the game a little bit.

[01:01:37]

Yeah, you do. You got to play the game. And I don't want to study tape that much anymore like I once did. And kudos to all the guys. I think Greg Olsen does a phenomenal job. I haven't heard one word. I haven't heard Tony Romo, I haven't heard any of the guys.

[01:01:52]

Now, I couldn't tell you what they.

[01:01:54]

Say or how they say it because.

[01:01:56]

For me, ocho, I need to be.

[01:01:58]

Able to speak from a place. This is my genuine thought. I'm not corrupted by what I heard somebody else say. Somebody else might have said it. Maybe great minds think alike, but this is my interpretation of what I saw. This is my interpretation for what transpired. And you might not agree with it, you might agree with it. But now I really never wanted to be play by play, but I've always wanted to talk about more than football. I want to talk about basketball. I want to talk about track and field. I want to be able to talk about a George Floyd. I want to be able to talk about a Colin Kaepernick and kneeling. I want to talk about some of these societal issues. And when you play by play, you're kind of boxed in.

[01:02:41]

Right.

[01:02:42]

And for me, with my knowledge, it doesn't need to be harnessed in that capacity.

[01:02:48]

Okay, I see what you mean.

[01:02:49]

I like it.

[01:02:49]

Aaron Rodgers likely to be medically cleared to play.

[01:02:54]

No.

[01:02:54]

Rogers may be medically cleared next week to return playing in games. According to multiple reports, the jets travel to the Dolphins this week and then host commanders on Christmas Eve, which would be Rogers targeted return date. The New York jets are currently five and eight sit third place in the AFC east. It has a less than 1% chance.

[01:03:16]

Of making the postseason.

[01:03:18]

What do you think about that?

[01:03:19]

What's the point?

[01:03:20]

What are we proven? You were able to come back from an injury and heal extremely, extremely fast.

[01:03:27]

The comeback being five and eight.

[01:03:30]

Even though you sit in third.

[01:03:33]

They sit in third, right? Third in the AFC east.

[01:03:36]

Yeah. No, I mean, why even chance it, though? What do you have to prove? We know what you can do. Heal up, rest up, get ready for next year. Let Zach Wilson continue to run the show.

[01:03:49]

His whole thing is about, I want to show medical professions that I know more. I know better than why.

[01:03:56]

Why take a chance? We talked about Marvin Harrison.

[01:03:59]

You got damn junior stand another year.

[01:04:03]

Why take the chance and risk injury? Why set yourself back further and re injure your achilles? There are three places on the body you don't play with.

[01:04:14]

You don't play with your knee. You don't play with your groin. You don't play with your achilles.

[01:04:19]

Let me add the hamstring in there, too.

[01:04:22]

Well, if you're the quarterback, your elbow and your shoulder, if you're a quarterback or you throw that, too.

[01:04:29]

But, man, listen, those are injuries you don't want to play with, man. Allow it to heal. I don't care what technology said. I don't care what science said that they talk about. I don't care how good you feel walking and going up and down when the bullets are flying in the middle.

[01:04:45]

Of a game, it's a different ballgame.

[01:04:47]

It's a different beast. Don't come back. Don't come back.

[01:04:52]

There's a difference between game and practice.

[01:04:54]

Because practices are, what? Scripted? Yeah. The game isn't scripted.

[01:04:58]

Oh, no.

[01:04:58]

So you can call plays, you can script practice where they don't get pressure around and you don't have to do anything.

[01:05:05]

Suddenly, suddenly, now, all of a sudden, you get into the game, no script.

[01:05:12]

Now you got to move faster. You got to react. Listen, is that area ready for that.

[01:05:19]

Type of tension and the suddenness in.

[01:05:23]

Which you're going to have to react?

[01:05:24]

Bingo. The suddenness. I thought you took the. I was looking for the goddamn word. You brought it right up, man.

[01:05:30]

Don't do that.

[01:05:30]

Don't do that to your body, man.

[01:05:32]

Rest. Wait for next year training camp.

[01:05:36]

Have the whole nine yards.

[01:05:38]

Boom.

[01:05:38]

You'll be fine. You get out there, you're going to hurt yourself.

[01:05:42]

The Rattlers are the national champions, Fam Howard 30 to 26 to claim the program's first celebration bowl and its first and black college football national championship. The Rattler scored three fourth quarter touchdowns to overtake the bison and win, 30 to 26.

[01:06:00]

Yeah.

[01:06:02]

Florida A and M, the greatest HBCu of all time. I want to send a congratulations to everybody, all FAMU Rattlers, current students, football players, alumni president, Larry Robinson.

[01:06:18]

I salute you, Ad.

[01:06:21]

Tiffany Sykes. I salute you. Head coach Willie Simmons. I love you.

[01:06:24]

Even the marching 100, brother.

[01:06:27]

Shelby Chipman, I appreciate you.

[01:06:30]

That's Will Packer album.

[01:06:34]

Oh, yeah. The greatest. Not just any album, the greatest album.

[01:06:38]

The highest of the seven hills, where you went to school at again? Savannah State, y'all.

[01:06:44]

And Savannah State don't want to see Fam. You all want no smoke and nothing.

[01:06:48]

You all want no smoke with on.

[01:06:50]

The field, on the basketball court, tennis court.

[01:06:54]

The band.

[01:06:54]

I ain't going to mention the band. You all don't want none of that.

[01:06:58]

You saw when I went back to Savannah State for first.

[01:07:04]

That was nice when you came out, but that thing was live.

[01:07:11]

That's how we do that to you. Listen.

[01:07:16]

But there's only one, though.

[01:07:18]

There's only one Savannah State.

[01:07:21]

That's the greatest college by the sea.

[01:07:24]

The college by the sea, bro.

[01:07:25]

The highest of the seven hills.

[01:07:27]

Because we going to strike. We going to strike and we going to strike again. Ocho.

[01:07:35]

I read a survey that said the four most important pillars in a relationship.

[01:07:40]

Religion, money, in laws, parenting and money.

[01:07:44]

If you had to rank them, how.

[01:07:47]

Would you rank them? Religion, in laws, parenting and money. I'm going money first. I agree.

[01:07:54]

I'm going money first. I don't care what nobody say. Don't get on here preaching that old righteous bullshit. Money come first. Money first. I think in order for people to.

[01:08:05]

Be compatible, I'm not sure two religions can be together.

[01:08:09]

Maybe you can, depending on how much you love each other. I think you got to go to church.

[01:08:13]

You up in a church?

[01:08:14]

Never in my life.

[01:08:15]

Okay.

[01:08:17]

With me. Some people are very serious when it comes to their religious beliefs, and they want their partner to think and feel and have that same vision as they do when it comes to their religious beliefs.

[01:08:29]

True.

[01:08:29]

So I think I will put religion 2nd.

[01:08:32]

Third, I would be parenting.

[01:08:35]

What was number four?

[01:08:36]

What was number four? In laws. Yeah.

[01:08:39]

Third would be parenting. In laws.

[01:08:41]

Who cares about what the fuck they think? Yeah, keep them up. Oh, my bad.

[01:08:45]

Keep them mo folds out your business. They always.

[01:08:50]

No disrespect.

[01:08:52]

I hate people that allow their in.

[01:08:53]

Laws or family to dictate whether they should be with somebody.

[01:08:59]

If that individual makes you happy, I don't care what nan family member think about me, man, fuck y'all. Y'all ain't got to deal with them.

[01:09:06]

That's me.

[01:09:07]

I got to deal with that. But parenting is very, very important. Hell, shit, as a parent myself, I'm still a goddamn work in progress.

[01:09:19]

As a father. For me, ocho, I would probably say.

[01:09:23]

Money, parenting, it all depends on the.

[01:09:27]

Type of religion, because some religions are more strenuous than others, and you see a lot of people not wanting to mix those. So I guess it all depends on how devout you are in your faith, right? Because I think the more devout you are in your faith, the less malleable or bending or flexible you're going to be when it comes to religion.

[01:09:58]

So for me.

[01:10:03]

As long as you ain't out there cutting up no goats and no satanic stuff, I think we pretty cool.

[01:10:10]

If you want to go to church, have at it.

[01:10:14]

Yeah, I like church, too. I like church, obviously. I went to Newbirth.

[01:10:20]

I went to Newbirth Baptist Church. Victor Bishop Victor T. Curry, Newbirth in Atlanta.

[01:10:27]

No, not from Miami, man.

[01:10:31]

I'm talking about the only new birth. The new birth in Miami, Florida.

[01:10:37]

Pastor Victor T. Curry.

[01:10:39]

The real new birth.

[01:10:40]

No disrespect. No disrespect to the church. No disrespect, but I hit Miami, man. And I don't go to church as.

[01:10:47]

Often as I used to.

[01:10:48]

I don't go as often as I used to. I think I've gone enough. Obviously, growing up, grandma had me in church. Grandma went to church in Overtown. Reverend Clark was her pastor.

[01:10:59]

That was our first pastor, Reverend J. E. Clark.

[01:11:02]

For real.

[01:11:02]

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

[01:11:04]

Listen, Mont Oliver Baptist Church.

[01:11:06]

Reverend Clark over there in Overtown.

[01:11:09]

And I kind of not graduated, but I kind of veered off over to Newburgh Baptist Church. That was at Miami Northwestern at the time they were having service at Miami Northwestern. I would walk all the way from my house on 44th street, all the way down 7th Avenue, just to go to church there. And always been there for years. But I don't go as often as I need to.

[01:11:30]

And the fact that you just brought.

[01:11:32]

It up about religion.

[01:11:33]

But, see, what has happened is that, see, the church has taken on a different meaning.

[01:11:37]

The church is here.

[01:11:39]

What? People have gotten confused.

[01:11:40]

Is that the building? Right.

[01:11:42]

That's not what a church is.

[01:11:44]

Right.

[01:11:44]

There are people that go to church and will say or do anything. There are people that go to church. See, people have hidden behind religion for thousands and thousands of years, and they'll use that book. There are places in the Bible that you can find that will support anything that you do.

[01:12:05]

Come on now. It ain't even Sunday, but go ahead and preach, and people will use that. Now, in the Bible, in Leviticus, it.

[01:12:14]

Says, you're not supposed to sleep.

[01:12:15]

When a woman on a cycle, how.

[01:12:17]

Many women will give it up on their cycle?

[01:12:19]

And how many men will take it?

[01:12:22]

Y'all better stop playing. I ain't going there. I ain't going, Ocho.

[01:12:25]

I ain't going to do that.

[01:12:27]

I don't want people to know what I know. But don't you stop now.

[01:12:32]

Don't you stop now.

[01:12:33]

We've been to get the fan question. We've been to get the fan question.

[01:12:36]

Come on. Come on, breacher. Come on. Come on, preacher. Hey.

[01:12:48]

My brother will tell you this. When I was about. Probably about eleven or twelve.

[01:12:53]

Yes, sir.

[01:12:54]

The pastor told my grandmother. He told her that I was going.

[01:12:58]

To be a minister. Yes, sir. I don't know what happened to me, Ocho.

[01:13:03]

Well, look, I don't want people to think that, but I do.

[01:13:08]

I have a bible.

[01:13:09]

I read the daily bread. I pray often. I have an understanding. I don't hit people over the head with what I know. When it comes to biblical, you live your life. I can't get you into heaven. The only person I can get into heaven is Shannon. I can't save but one soul.

[01:13:30]

That's mine.

[01:13:32]

So how can I save you and lose my own? So let me save mine.

[01:13:38]

I can assist or tell you what.

[01:13:41]

I think you should do. But at the end of the day, that's your call. But anyway, I ain't going to ocho. No. I ain't going to do it, Uncle Ocho. Uncultured J unkin Ocho. What are some unspoken rules amongst players that don't get talked about?

[01:13:53]

Unspoken rules.

[01:13:56]

Ain't no unspoken rule. You don't mess with nobody's money. You don't be talking about nobody's wife.

[01:14:00]

Wife.

[01:14:00]

You don't mess with nobody. I mean, I don't know if it's spoken or unspoken, but. See, ojo, when we were in the locker room, we didn't talk about religion.

[01:14:11]

No.

[01:14:12]

Talk about that shit in the locker room.

[01:14:14]

We didn't talk about politics.

[01:14:16]

Absolutely.

[01:14:16]

We didn't talk about orientation.

[01:14:19]

We didn't talk about that stuff. Hell, no. All I want to know.

[01:14:24]

Can you catch the ball? Can you sack the quarterback? Can you run the ball? That's all I care about.

[01:14:29]

I don't care what you do.

[01:14:31]

You can sleep with 100 men for all I care.

[01:14:32]

I'm trying to win. As a matter of fact, can your.

[01:14:36]

Boyfriend, can he catch? Can he run out here?

[01:14:39]

Right? Yeah, but there are no unwritten rules. There are no unwritten rules.

[01:14:49]

Obviously, the three that nobody needs to say is, obviously. You don't talk about nobody wife. You don't try to holler at nobody wife.

[01:14:56]

No.

[01:14:56]

And you don't talk about nobody goddamn kids.

[01:14:59]

No and shit.

[01:15:01]

That's pretty much it.

[01:15:03]

Just.

[01:15:04]

The thing was.

[01:15:07]

Hold on.

[01:15:09]

I think it was O'Gill's podcast.

[01:15:11]

They were talking about how the situation.

[01:15:14]

Like, okay, your wife is off limit, and then you get your girl.

[01:15:20]

No, you don't. You get one.

[01:15:23]

Your wife is on the shelf. Everybody else is reachable. Everybody can be checked.

[01:15:31]

Now, that was a good episode. Hey, remember, if you got a wife.

[01:15:37]

And you got a bad side chick and you think you're going to be able to save both of them. No, you're not. You're not going to save that girl. Your wife. I ain't even looking at her.

[01:15:45]

Right.

[01:15:46]

But, oh, you best believe I'm throwing a net out there trying to reel her in.

[01:15:50]

Hey, it was so funny, the conversation.

[01:15:52]

He was having, right?

[01:15:54]

Somebody said, oh, I see so and so in the stands tonight. Okay, which one of you all got so and so here at this game? Hey, man, that was funny. Listen, but in basketball players, they move different way.

[01:16:06]

They do, but they move different.

[01:16:08]

They move different way.

[01:16:14]

If they told me they talked to. Oh, you know, I used to talk to somebody, I took my tail and run.

[01:16:19]

I ain't got that kind of friend.

[01:16:20]

I can't fight him. I can't fight what he can do for you. Now, back in the day, your boy used to be ready to tussle and to drop, but I don't got old now, ocho, that ain't in me no more. Listen, but they say, oh, yeah, you get your wife. No, you don't. Oh, no. Hell, no. You get to put one on the.

[01:16:43]

Shelf, and she can't be touched.

[01:16:46]

Now, if it could be your wife.

[01:16:48]

It can be your girl, but you don't get two. No, sir, I don't know where they do that at. Listen, boydom boys vicious, boy, they can.

[01:16:59]

Be vicious all they want to, but.

[01:17:00]

I know about them, boy.

[01:17:03]

Play a different ball game, boydam.

[01:17:04]

Zero don't play. Yeah, that's why I can't compete.

[01:17:09]

See, they got that kind of money. If you want to keep up with them, you don't need track shoes, you need a checkbook. And I got that kind of. Nah, nah. But I will talk to Gil about that when he come back on a wheel. I heard you all talking. No, you get to save one. Now, you got a ocho. You got a choice.

[01:17:28]

Yeah.

[01:17:29]

Two people drowning, you could only save one. You can't. You can't swim back to shore with two drowning people. Now, which one you want to put.

[01:17:37]

Up there to make sure she's safe, right? Cut another one. We coming?

[01:17:43]

Yeah, we come in.

[01:17:45]

I'm a rip tide. Although you better rip current, you know that?

[01:17:48]

Rip current?

[01:17:48]

Yeah, that thing powerful. Even some of the strongest swimmers, you just got to let. Just go with it. Don't swim against it, because all it's going to do is tie you out and drown. You go with it and then come on back.

[01:18:01]

You know what the funny thing is? You know what makes it even worse is there are so many.

[01:18:07]

Fine.

[01:18:07]

I'm talking about the finest of the finest women, right?

[01:18:11]

How many athletes is it that really got it? Think about it. It's only a select few.

[01:18:17]

It's only a small. It's only a handful of them, but it's so many women, and all the women want the select few athletes. So guess what?

[01:18:24]

They select few athletes want the women.

[01:18:27]

And they want the women.

[01:18:29]

They pick who? Man color.

[01:18:34]

It's a certain type of a woman that athlete Philly has to have.

[01:18:38]

Yeah.

[01:18:40]

Normally, for the skin, they got that hair, whether it's the Halle berry crop, whether it's long and wavy, they mix. I don't know what it is. My grandma used to say. My grandma, when I was a little boy. She said, boy, you color struck what she meant by that. But if the red ball.

[01:18:59]

Yeah, see.

[01:19:03]

I had a different mentality when it came to that.

[01:19:06]

When it came to dealing with women, my whole thing was your dna. Are you athletic?

[01:19:13]

Yeah.

[01:19:15]

Listen, I need to see what you do in high school, did you cheer? Did you play volleyball? Did you play basketball?

[01:19:20]

Did you play softball? Are you athletic? First dates.

[01:19:24]

I'm going on dates where I need to be able to see if you can move. Do you got two left feet? Can you ask?

[01:19:29]

Make a motherfucking layup.

[01:19:30]

Because I'm going to need your dna at one point. At some point, your dna.

[01:19:35]

Because if you ask what's the most important foundation when it comes to playing sports? Your footwork. Yeah. In everything you do, your footwork.

[01:19:44]

So if I'm on a date with.

[01:19:46]

You and you just also happen to.

[01:19:48]

Get pregnant, now I got to deal with you and my child.

[01:19:51]

You mean also happen to get pregnant. What the hell you may know also happen.

[01:19:54]

Yeah, I'm just saying that's why I.

[01:19:56]

Only dated people that were athletic.

[01:19:59]

I don't give a fuck about how.

[01:20:00]

You look because I look good enough for two. I don't care how you look. Are you athletic? Period. That's it. That's a good.

[01:20:08]

You got these dudes going to get these pretty women, they so fine. And then you have a kid, and you wonder why your kid getting picked last in PE, because you got there and picked somebody. She can't even make a motherfucking layup.

[01:20:19]

But, God, no athleticism.

[01:20:21]

She got two left feet.

[01:20:23]

The kid getting picked last to PE, but she. For getting picked first before the date. Let me out. I'll take her.

[01:20:30]

That's how you can have that.

[01:20:32]

It's too late now.

[01:20:35]

It's too late, man.

[01:20:37]

I saw that light skin and that long, wavy hair.

[01:20:40]

Yeah, you like that?

[01:20:43]

You like that?

[01:20:48]

I wasn't trying to have no models.

[01:20:52]

When the Holy Ghost put their head up.

[01:20:55]

Yeah, that was your thing. Now, back in the day.

[01:20:59]

Back in the day, ocho, I was young.

[01:21:01]

I was young.

[01:21:02]

Yes, sir.

[01:21:04]

Your boy was, man.

[01:21:06]

Ocho, in my 20s, early 20s, mid twenty s, I could pee in a swinging boot from 25ft away. I just ain't what I used to be.

[01:21:15]

Ocho.

[01:21:16]

I ain't what I used to be, ocho.

[01:21:22]

Hold on, you ain't going to get away with that one.

[01:21:25]

Hold on.

[01:21:25]

You say you could pee in a swinging boot from 25ft away?

[01:21:28]

Yeah.

[01:21:29]

You swing the boot up there.

[01:21:31]

You said a swinging boot. So the boot moving and you still hit the boot.

[01:21:37]

25Ft. Yeah.

[01:21:39]

Wow. The pipe still work.

[01:22:28]

Hi Ocho and Shannon, can you a time when coach or coach or staff gave you bad instruction and you did what believed was right, how did you move forward after that? Were you able to maintain a worker relationship and respect?

[01:22:42]

Yeah, but I remember a player like.

[01:22:48]

My rookie season, I didn't know the route and the player gave me the wrong route. I ran the route. It was wrong. Coach Reed, true my ass out, but yes, I've had a coach, but I should have known.

[01:23:00]

It's on me.

[01:23:01]

See what? I'm supposed to go. So now I'm supposed to go tell the OC. I'm supposed to tell the head coach.

[01:23:07]

This is what he told me, right? I bite the bullet.

[01:23:10]

I don't tell nobody. I own that one.

[01:23:12]

That's me. I should have known.

[01:23:15]

I should have known. And if he told me something that.

[01:23:18]

I knew, I'm going to do it my way.

[01:23:21]

I'm always, always going to take the responsibility. I remember one time we were in Minnesota and I was supposed to be on the line of scrimmage and Dwayne Carswell was supposed to be off the line of scrimmage. But I switched with him. He said, nah, sharp. He said, sharp, nah, man. I said, don't worry about it. I say, I'll bite the bullet. So we got to the sideline.

[01:23:43]

Coob never asked what going on out there. Who the fuck. I said I did it. I did it, right? I switched.

[01:23:51]

Now, I mean, what, you all going to bitch me? I bite the bullet. I'm wrong. I'm mad enough to say that, but yes, I've been told in situations, I've told the wrong thing, but that's on me because I should have known my playbook better, right? But you think like, man, but it's all good. It's all good. I kept a great relationship because at the end of the day, we all human. We all human.

[01:24:19]

Yeah.

[01:24:19]

When I think about it, I've never had any situations like that where coaches are telling me to do one thing.

[01:24:26]

And I did another.

[01:24:27]

I think one of the things that happened with me is the way it's written on paper or the way we went over it in meetings and it's exited nose. And what my coaches fail to realize, I say more. So my offensive coordinator at times, Bob Burkowski. I never forget Bob. We would disagree on things, on ways certain things should be run because obviously.

[01:24:46]

On paper, there's nobody moving.

[01:24:48]

There's nobody moving and it's the x and it's o. And you want me to get from point a to point b in a certain amount of time within the time.

[01:24:56]

Frame of the offense so I don't.

[01:24:58]

Mess up the timing of the offense. But Bob, I can't run it that way. I have to run it this way because the guy in front of me, he's not going to be sitting still like it is on that goddamn paper.

[01:25:07]

He's going to be putting hands on me.

[01:25:09]

He's going to be trying to put hands on me.

[01:25:11]

So listen, I'm not going to argue.

[01:25:13]

The fact with you, but when I get in the game time situation, just know I'm going to be open. I'm going to improvise just a little.

[01:25:19]

Bit, but I'm going to stay within.

[01:25:21]

The timing of the offense and make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be when it's time for that ball to be thrown. That's one of the few things I can remember and recall because he would always harp on doing it the way it's written and the way he's taught it. But at certain times, depending on the person across from me, me understand who I'm playing against, there's some things I need to do and improvise a little bit, but stay within the timing of the offense.

[01:25:44]

Well, I've been very fortunate because my position coach, coop, BP, whoever, and Mike, Mike's like, look, we draw them like this, but just get open however you get open, as long as when seven back foot hit.

[01:26:01]

I like that.

[01:26:02]

And you're coming open and he's ready.

[01:26:04]

To throw because look, all that stuff.

[01:26:08]

And you draw it up on tape and on the backboard and you got a scribbly hair to do that. Okay, that sounds good.

[01:26:15]

Yeah, but come Sunday, them Mofo's coming.

[01:26:19]

Yeah, get open.

[01:26:22]

He grabbed it and he took. No, I'm going to be open.

[01:26:25]

Right.

[01:26:26]

And John and I have already talked about it. Hey, twelve to 14, he say run it. Twelve to 14 in practice. I know you're going to cut it down to ten to twelve in the game because everything is happening quicker. Just, hey, let's just time it up, let's see how it go and we might. Hey, by the end of the week.

[01:26:40]

He say run it.

[01:26:40]

Ten to twelve ain't come game time.

[01:26:42]

It'S eight to ten.

[01:26:43]

Yeah, because at the end of the day, what the coaches say don't matter. They might tell me something. We'll run it like this. John say run it like that. Who got the ball? I've listened to the mo fola that got the ball. What you all talk about with a headset? You don't do nothing for me at all. I ignore. I block out all things that doesn't have ain't. If you ain't got no jersey on, right? I ain't listening to you come game day.

[01:27:12]

I'm not.

[01:27:13]

That's just the way it is.

[01:27:15]

Key asks, with the NFL changing their.

[01:27:17]

Policy on jersey numbers, would you all wear a single digit number or stick to 84 and 85?

[01:27:21]

I'm wearing number two. For real?

[01:27:23]

Yeah, I wore number two in college.

[01:27:25]

Okay, college thing.

[01:27:27]

I'm number two.

[01:27:28]

I'm sticking 85 in college. I had 80. I won an 80 when I got to the Bengals. But Peter Warwick, the great Peter Warwick, the greatest collegiate receiver of all time, had 80, so I would stick with 85. That 85 is symbolic, man. The single digit numbers are cool.

[01:27:44]

It's something about a single digit number. You got to be that boy, dog. To wear that.

[01:27:49]

You got to be that boy.

[01:27:51]

It held more weight to me in college, in high school, little league.

[01:27:56]

Yes.

[01:27:57]

I was single digit in high school. I was number three in high school.

[01:27:59]

Yeah.

[01:27:59]

But in the NFL, it don't hit.

[01:28:01]

The same to me.

[01:28:02]

It don't hit the same single digit numbers, though, because you're not used to seeing it.

[01:28:08]

You're not used to seeing skilled players, linebackers, DBS, and anything like that with a single digit number. But I think over time, guess what, ocho? Ten years, 15 years from now, when.

[01:28:18]

You see more of it, you go.

[01:28:19]

Like, damn, how long they have single digit numbers? Because I remember when Kenny Burrow wore.

[01:28:24]

Double zero right back in the 80s.

[01:28:28]

For real, how come nobody. They need to bring that zero back, actually a zero? Maybe not double zero.

[01:28:35]

I think you could have zero. See what would happen if whatever. You got drafted as, like, Ahmad Rashad. He wore 28 as a receiver, but.

[01:28:45]

He was drafted as a running back.

[01:28:48]

Brad van Pell, he was a linebacker. He wore number ten, but he came in the league as a quarterback, so.

[01:28:53]

He got to keep the number, right.

[01:28:58]

There were some oddities, but back then, you see running backs with 77, you go back to real old footage, ojo, they got 77.

[01:29:06]

They got 50, right?

[01:29:08]

Running back with 77.

[01:29:10]

77. Yeah.

[01:29:14]

I think Marion Motley was 77. That got to be Mariam Motley.

[01:29:17]

77. That got to be way back in the day.

[01:29:21]

Like, in the.

[01:29:22]

Think Motley was in the 60s? Yeah, Mariam Motley was in the 60s, right? Or 50s. That's crazy. But he was 77 at running back.

[01:29:39]

He was 77 in high school, too, so he just kept that number. Is that holiday time of year again? Looking for something different for your favorite sports person on your list, think game time. [01:30:43]

Juan.

[01:30:44]

Dr. Uncle Ocho. Love the show. Should Herbert get more appreciation now that we see the team without him? Look at the Bengals without Burrow.

[01:30:51]

Hell, look at the team with him.

[01:30:53]

You make it seem like they had.

[01:30:55]

An unblemished record when they had Justin Herbert. Yeah, they was bad.

[01:31:01]

They was bad with Justin Herbert. I mean, to the fact, even when Justin Herbert was there, they were still talking about firing goddamn Mr. Staley.

[01:31:08]

Brandon Staley.

[01:31:09]

Brandon. Yeah, we're still talking about firing Mr. Staley, but Justin Herbert is. He's a good quarterback.

[01:31:15]

Yeah, very good.

[01:31:17]

You know what? I'm so glad the dude asked that. Where would you rank Justin Herbert? Do you put him in your top tier based on big quarterback, big arm?

[01:31:27]

I think like Mahomes, Burrow Lamar, Josh Allen. Josh Allen with the play he played this year. Dak. Yeah. Who else? Jay Hertz.

[01:31:48]

I'm drawing a blank.

[01:31:53]

Yeah. Herbert Purdy.

[01:31:58]

You know who I thought? CJ Stroud.

[01:32:01]

Oh, yeah.

[01:32:01]

Especially now. The funny thing is, CJ Stroud is a rookie, and he's in company already. Like that.

[01:32:09]

I like Trevor Lawrence.

[01:32:11]

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Tl.

[01:32:13]

Tl. Yeah. That's crazy. That's crazy. But Trevor Lawrence has changed.

[01:32:20]

Marion Motley wore 36. He wore 76. Not 77.

[01:32:24]

76.

[01:32:27]

Millennium art. Asked unknocho. Big fan of both of you guys for years. Love the show.

[01:32:31]

Have a question? What's the biggest thing you and your.

[01:32:35]

Kid'S mother have disagreed on when it.

[01:32:37]

Comes to parody, but that's a good one. Listen, money. Yeah. How much? Okay.

[01:32:49]

I was a little fortunate. I was a little fortunate.

[01:32:51]

I was a little fortunate where those that I have kids from, I have.

[01:32:58]

Kids from those that come from where I'm from.

[01:33:01]

Does that make sense?

[01:33:02]

You understand where I'm coming from? I didn't leave my front porch and get money and go and try to impregnate those. That wouldn't deal with me if I didn't have money.

[01:33:12]

Right.

[01:33:14]

So when it came to the situation of being able to take care of my kids and what they needed, it was just for just that, not a means of image and living a certain lifestyle.

[01:33:25]

Right.

[01:33:26]

You get what I'm going. I was fortunate in that situation, right. And one of the reasons why, when I do talk, you always hear me mention them and the job that they've.

[01:33:36]

Done, because life could be hell, especially.

[01:33:40]

With the way I did things where I didn't do it the traditional way. Oh, they could have took me to.

[01:33:45]

The goddamn cleaners if they wanted, but I had people with the right state.

[01:33:49]

Of mind and had, obviously, the goal at the end of the day is for the child.

[01:33:55]

Yeah.

[01:33:56]

I think schooling. What kidney be on a $10,000 a year kindergarten?

[01:34:03]

What? Ain't no such thing.

[01:34:06]

Yeah, you said, ain't no such thing.

[01:34:10]

Yeah.

[01:34:11]

So we argued about stuff like that because I thought.

[01:34:15]

I didn't think a kid that was.

[01:34:17]

In that kind of was getting that much better of an education. Hell, they ain't doing up a finger painting and going to recess and drinking milk and eating cookies anyway.

[01:34:25]

Wait, you speaking from experience?

[01:34:27]

Yeah. Who was going to make you pay 15,000 for kindergarten? The judge? It is.

[01:34:39]

What?

[01:34:39]

Look, the thing is, ocho, like I.

[01:34:42]

Said, I think the kids got a.

[01:34:43]

Better appreciation for what I did.

[01:34:46]

Now, see, the thing is, ocho, like, when kids, they want what they want, they don't really know, especially if the parents aren't together, and maybe even if they are together, what one parent or the other parent is doing to make sure they maintain that standard of living. I think my kids now, they see how expensive stuff is, even though it's more expensive.

[01:35:09]

Now, when you do that three times, they're like, okay.

[01:35:14]

They have a greater appreciation of it.

[01:35:16]

Right. But that was it.

[01:35:20]

And then we sit down and we talked about it, and it's like, okay. And some of them like, well, I.

[01:35:26]

Think for me, I think the best.

[01:35:28]

Thing for them is to take them.

[01:35:29]

Out of private school, because society ain't private.

[01:35:33]

Yeah, it ain't no situation. Just because you got this, this and this. You're over there, they're going to be more in a situation. So I need to get them acclimated.

[01:35:43]

To the real deal.

[01:35:46]

When I think about that, that is a great question. That's a great question because I have.

[01:35:51]

A lot of athletes coming to me.

[01:35:53]

Even this day, and they've been doing it throughout the years, and they always ask, man, listen, ocho, how do you do it? How are you able to handle the issues with those you have kids from? I only have one. I'm having problems. She's making my life a living hell. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever it may be. And I'm always giving advice.

[01:36:11]

I said, listen, those individuals you have.

[01:36:13]

Kids from or that person you have a kid from can make your life a living hell, obviously.

[01:36:17]

Yeah.

[01:36:17]

For sure.

[01:36:19]

For one, you got to understand who you had a child from, understand the makeup and the dna of the person you were dealing with and what they were doing before you came along. You already know it wasn't about you.

[01:36:28]

It's what you can do.

[01:36:29]

So now you got to deal with it. Now you got to suffer the consequences. Do everything you can to make that individual happy.

[01:36:35]

You don't have a choice at this.

[01:36:38]

Choice.

[01:36:38]

Now you stuck. Yeah, ocho.

[01:36:40]

But you know, when you young, ocho, you don't see it that way. I'm trying to be right.

[01:36:45]

Yeah. I ain't trying to keep no peace, right.

[01:36:48]

Shit, I'm thinking long term, man.

[01:36:52]

I'm thinking long term.

[01:36:54]

I'm thinking long term.

[01:36:57]

I worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow.

[01:36:58]

But today I'm right.

[01:36:59]

Yeah, I got you.

[01:37:01]

Today I'm right.

[01:37:02]

But as you start to get older.

[01:37:05]

You'Re like, okay, whatever. Yeah.

[01:37:11]

You don't want to get taken advantage of either, man.

[01:37:14]

That's my thing. That's my thing. Tell me what the child need, within reason.

[01:37:22]

Tell me what the child needs at.

[01:37:25]

Any point, at any time. And those they know. I had a conversation with one of mine.

[01:37:36]

Moms come into an agreement, like, this.

[01:37:41]

Is what I have to do for so and so. Oh, no, baby.

[01:37:45]

You ain't got to worry about that. You don't have to do nothing. Anything she need, man, just hit my know. We good.

[01:37:53]

You don't have nothing.

[01:37:54]

A Nathaniel, you got nothing to worry about ever. So that even shouldn't be a topic of that.

[01:38:02]

As great as I think I have.

[01:38:05]

Been as a father, I have so.

[01:38:06]

Much more work to do. Oh, yeah, for sure.

[01:38:09]

Much more work to do. And as soon as you think you've made it or you've reached a certain point where, damn, I'm doing a good goddamn job.

[01:38:16]

You know what, man?

[01:38:18]

Life comes at you fast.

[01:38:21]

Nowhere near where you think you are.

[01:38:24]

I don't live in the past. I already told my kids I can't get back what I lost. I say time is the one thing that we can't recapture. All I can do is try to be the best I can moving forward. And every day we have a conversation. If you need something, I'm going to.

[01:38:37]

Be honest with you now. I'll be honest with all my kids. I'm honest.

[01:38:43]

My oldest is coming out here for Christmas. My youngest just left. She was out here, like, 1314 days for Thanksgiving. My Son is married now. He's not as mobile as he once was. He's married.

[01:39:00]

Got my grandson. But hey, we're work in progress.

[01:39:06]

We're work in progress. We call, we talk. But there are some things that I know I need to get better at.

[01:39:12]

But they understand every time.

[01:39:15]

Like, damn, daddy, you work a lot, dad. I thought you would slow down.

[01:39:18]

I was like, and do what?

[01:39:20]

I said. Let's just say for the sake of argument, because I'm good enough, I could retire now and live comfortably. Never have to work, never have to say another word, not do anything.

[01:39:28]

Right. I said, but what am I going to do? I ain't got no hobbies. I don't travel.

[01:39:32]

I don't fish.

[01:39:33]

I don't play golf.

[01:39:35]

I don't build legos.

[01:39:38]

What would I do if I did nothing? And when I wouldn't do that before noon. So what would I do?

[01:39:47]

I don't look at what I do.

[01:39:49]

Now as work, right?

[01:39:50]

Oh, this is fun. This ain't no, this ain't, this ain't work. This is fun. I enjoy this. I enjoy going on inside the NFL anytime. I can still be integrated and submerged in the game of football and still have some piece of it attached to me.

[01:40:05]

That is not work. That is considered fun.

[01:40:10]

That's the thing, because they ask, they're.

[01:40:12]

Like, daddy, they've always seen everything that I did.

[01:40:17]

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thoroughly immersed myself in it. And it's like, you think we ever go have a job? I said, I don't know. I say, but I want you to. You should probably find something, because there's nothing worse than waking up every day and hating to go somewhere or to.

[01:40:35]

Be somewhere or to do something, right.

[01:40:40]

Or I guess the same thing is you with a partner you wake up.

[01:40:43]

Every day like, damn, you still here? I'm still here. What the.

[01:40:51]

I was hoping you'd be like the Indianapolis coats in 84. Just move your stuff out in the.

[01:40:56]

Middle of the night, you're still here.

[01:40:59]

That's bad. No, but in all honesty, the thing.

[01:41:02]

Is that the work ethic, and it's hard.

[01:41:07]

And people ask the conversation that you have with your kids, given how you grew up, ocho, my kids couldn't survive 1 hour.

[01:41:17]

1 hour in my life, the first 20 years, not one, right? Not one.

[01:41:24]

Because they've never had a job in which they haven't worked in AC. And I didn't have a job that I worked in AC until I got to CBS. So I was in my 30s. Every job I had, I was in the damn sun, or I was in.

[01:41:36]

The elements, or I was in a.

[01:41:40]

Chicken house, or I was in a field. I didn't like those jobs. But I just remember getting up like, damn. Going to work like, man, hey, this $5 where I was going to get money for. You didn't go to work.

[01:41:54]

You didn't get paid.

[01:41:55]

Man, $5 go a long way back then.

[01:41:57]

Yeah, ocho.

[01:41:59]

But you got to understand, ocho, I was five or six years old in the fields, working 1012 hours. This is when I knew.

[01:42:11]

From that point on, I've never ever.

[01:42:13]

Slacked on a job. My cousin Lanny, they called him sundown. The boss is Joe Tatum and Tiny. They were brothers, so we worked for them. They called me Peewee because I was so small. I was small as a kid, right? They called me Peewee. They called him sundown because he's like, Mr. Joe, it's time to knock off the sun going down. So they nicknamed him sundown, right? So, man, we working one day, and.

[01:42:38]

He'S like, man, he's to man, they need to give us a raise. I said, well, how much? He said, man, ask Mr. Joe for a dollar.

[01:42:48]

Knowing me, I'm the youngest. So he pushed me up.

[01:42:52]

They put you up to it?

[01:42:53]

He put me. Ain't no day.

[01:42:55]

He.

[01:42:55]

Because my older cousin, they were already making, I think they was making like, $14 a day. We was making five, walking behind the back of pit. And so I said, Mr. Joe, man, we've been working hard. I said, me and Lanny, man, we'd be working hard, and, man, we need a raise, right? He said, well, Pete, peewee, how much.

[01:43:13]

You think you make?

[01:43:15]

How much you think you should get a raise to? I was like, I don't know.

[01:43:19]

Give us a dollar. We need to make $6 a day.

[01:43:21]

He said, okay, pee wee, $6 it is. So we get the raise. Mr. Joe tell us, like on a Monday or Tuesday, we gonna get the raise, man. Me and my cousin, we get out there, we start bulldiving.

[01:43:32]

The next day, my sister say nothing.

[01:43:35]

Because it's me, my brother, my two Arnel, Eugene, rest his soul.

[01:43:40]

Lanny, I think Dr. Pearl was there. Me, my brother.

[01:43:46]

So it was a crew of us. So we out there, bull, driving around, we playing a horse around. We done got us a dollar.

[01:43:52]

Raid. Hey, ain't serious no more. We get home that night, Libby said, granny, them boys got a raise.

[01:44:02]

And all they did today was play in the fields.

[01:44:06]

My granny said.

[01:44:10]

That'S all she said, ocho, that's all she said. She didn't say, I'm going to tell y'all ass up. She didn't say none of that.

[01:44:16]

All she said, next morning, Mr. Joe, pull up. Blow the horn, Granny. Come out there, Joe.

[01:44:26]

Hey, Mary, how you doing? I'm good. Libby told me you gave them boys a raise. He said, yeah, mary, they've been working hard. I gave them a dollar.

[01:44:35]

She said, take it back. What? Take it back. And he took it back.

[01:44:43]

From that point on, I ain't never went on nobody job in bull jive. I don't care if he paid me $5. I don't care if they paid me $15. I don't care if they paid me $70,000. I give everybody an honest day's work. And that's what my grandma said. Boy, when somebody give you an honest day's salary, you give them an honest day's damn work. And from that point on, I probably was no more.

[01:45:03]

About six or seven.

[01:45:04]

Yeah, probably.

[01:45:05]

Hold on.

[01:45:07]

I might have been nine. I might have been eight going to nine. Because I was like, 77. It's like, in 77. So I'm probably nine years old, but.

[01:45:16]

You better than me, because that dollar.

[01:45:17]

Would have been spun. No, but here's the thing, ocho.

[01:45:21]

We got. See, back then, we got paid at.

[01:45:23]

The end of the week, right?

[01:45:25]

So we got paid and we worked the half a day on noon. So we had the corner stove. Saps the corner stove. And so we could get stuff on credit. So we go in there.

[01:45:39]

Honey buns was a quarter. Yeah. Twelve ounce can soda was a quarter.

[01:45:45]

Chips, the bag you got now, that costs a dollar. Whatever it costs was a quarter.

[01:45:49]

Quarter back then.

[01:45:50]

Yeah, so we could go get whatever we want during the week and then we'll settle up with Ms. Christine at.

[01:45:57]

The end of the week.

[01:45:58]

So we go in there, and my bill, let's see, five. I got hold up five, six. So five days, that's 30, half a day.

[01:46:08]

That was 250.

[01:46:10]

So I made, like 30 to 32, 50.

[01:46:12]

Yeah.

[01:46:13]

My bill at the corner stove be about $7.50, $10. Number jump, number nickname.

[01:46:19]

Right? Never knickknack. But from that point on, when my.

[01:46:25]

Grandma told that man, even though I was nine years old, and we working 1012 hours a day, and we bulldog one day on the job, and she told that man to take that dollar back, never again.

[01:46:37]

Yeah, never again.

[01:46:40]

I have never, ever gone on anybody's.

[01:46:42]

Job and played around. No, sir. No, sir.

[01:46:46]

No, sir. Re.

[01:46:47]

I don't buy no ace.

[01:46:51]

Underscore P. Snow says, this is Ace from Boston, Maryland. This show helped me with everyday life, and it's very therapeutic for me.

[01:46:58]

Keep doing your thing, Ace.

[01:47:00]

Good looking. We appreciate that, man. Guys, we want to make sure you hit that, like, button. Hit that subscribe button. Guys, you're doing unbelievable.

[01:47:07]

We got 14,000, right?

[01:47:12]

We got 15,000 in our live chat.

[01:47:15]

Thank you, guys.

[01:47:15]

We really appreciate that. Alonzo Tyson said, I received my laportier yesterday in the mail. Had to order two more. Love the show, Alonzo. We appreciate that, man. I really appreciate the support that you guys have given me. Let me know your feedback. Anybody that's grabbed a bottle, honest opinion. Let me know what you think. We think we got the best product on the market for VSOP, but, hey.

[01:47:36]

Maybe you think different, but just let us know what you think.

[01:47:39]

Andre Newman. Uncle Ocho. Love the show. Been following you since the first day on the network. I just got my bottle of La Portier. Can't wait to pop it open Christmas day. Team nightcap.

[01:47:49]

Andre, good looking.

[01:47:50]

Good looking.

[01:47:51]

Yes, sir.

[01:47:53]

But that's the thing, Ocho. Why would you go on somebody's job and not work hard? This is what I tell people.

[01:48:03]

Young people work a lot of jobs.

[01:48:06]

Because working a lot of jobs as a kid will let you know what you don't want to do when you get to be an adult, because think about how flexible and how easy it is for you to move about when you're a child. Now, you think I wanted to work 12 hours in a field and then go work another 4 hours and catch chickens? You think I wanted to pick up.

[01:48:26]

Pecans, clip onions, bail hay?

[01:48:29]

You think I want to do that for the rest of my life?

[01:48:31]

You know the funny thing about it, though? But times are different now. Times are different now. People want a lot of money for.

[01:48:38]

A little bit of work.

[01:48:40]

Sometimes people don't even want to put no work in. They find loopholes around it. I'm going to go ahead and clock in. I'm going to sit over here and act like I'm working or doing something. People don't want to.

[01:48:53]

People don't want to work, don't want.

[01:48:54]

To put the work in for the money that they want. It's different now. There are very few people that really want.

[01:49:01]

You know what, the way you put.

[01:49:04]

On that goddamn hard hat, and you go to work and you ain't going.

[01:49:06]

To play no games about what you do.

[01:49:08]

Everybody ain't like that. No, it's different now.

[01:49:13]

Everybody want x, Y, and z, but nobody wants rst. Ain't nobody want to do that. No, everybody, man, I want to make.

[01:49:20]

All that money, man.

[01:49:21]

You working too hard. I don't want to do all that. You want somebody to take care of your big, rough ass.

[01:49:27]

Yeah, you got to get it.

[01:49:30]

The funny thing about it is another.

[01:49:33]

Thing, especially when it comes to women, fellas that are grinding, that are working.

[01:49:37]

Women never are around for the grind. They never around for the grind. But when the product is finished, everybody at your front door, they ain't never.

[01:49:49]

There for the grind. When it's hot, you're shooting in the gym, or you out there on the field working your routes and doing all that.

[01:49:55]

But, boy, let draft a hit.

[01:49:59]

Let that name go across the bottom of the ticker. Everybody loves the finished product. Nobody want to help you build or help you get there. Ma'am. Something about my grandma.

[01:50:13]

These motherfucking sayings.

[01:50:16]

My grandma always had a goddamn saying, boy, don't you ever try to build.

[01:50:20]

An empire with a woman seeking attention from the village. Can't, boy. Shit. You can't. Because I think the ocho.

[01:50:34]

But let me tell you, let me see. And.

[01:50:39]

I've dated a few people.

[01:50:41]

Don't need to call no name, but.

[01:50:43]

You have to understand, we need names for reference and context.

[01:50:48]

Ocho. Yeah.

[01:50:50]

The difference is between most athletes. Myself, and I'll let. You can speak to you.

[01:50:56]

I'll speak to me.

[01:50:57]

People have been knowing who I was.

[01:50:59]

Since I was 16 because I was that guy. Yeah, you.

[01:51:03]

That I went to Savannah State.

[01:51:05]

Yes, you were. I was that guy. Yeah.

[01:51:08]

After my third started my third year. From there on, I was that guy. So I've always gotten attention, you see? If you've never gotten attention, you want it later in life, I'm cool. See, for me, they say fame and fortune.

[01:51:22]

Give me the fortune, f the fame.

[01:51:26]

I don't need the red carpets. I don't need none of that.

[01:51:29]

I'm good. But she couldn't understand, Shannon, why you don't? Because, baby, I've been this.

[01:51:40]

I just didn't become this.

[01:51:42]

I've been this, and I'm okay now. And people like that must make you.

[01:51:53]

Feel good when people want your autograph. I was like, when you young Ocho, when you first started. Because I remember my brother, my brother used to get so annoyed. He's like, man, he said, you're going to see. You're going to see.

[01:52:05]

Because Ocho, without signing everything, he's okay.

[01:52:14]

And the thing is, the problem that I got now, ocho, people await till they get finished with their meal and then come ask you to take a picture. I'm like, oh, say, I noticed you waited until you was finished with your meal. You didn't want to rent your meal, but you ain't got no problem interrupting mine, right?

[01:52:33]

You hit him with that for real?

[01:52:35]

Yes, I'm watching because I'm watching.

[01:52:39]

I pan.

[01:52:40]

I try not to make a whole lot of eye contact with people when I'm walking. I'm from point a to point b, I hear, but I don't see.

[01:52:48]

Yeah.

[01:52:49]

And so I got my headphones on. And especially when I'm traveling, if I'm going to New York, normally, Ash or Jordan's with me, or we going somewhere, they're normally with me and they know.

[01:53:00]

Hey, you better have on some track shoes because.

[01:53:05]

My luggage is in the air. That's how fast I walk. It ain't rolling.

[01:53:09]

It's in the air because I'm moving. Right? That's funny.

[01:53:15]

But that's the thing, though, ocho. I'm like.

[01:53:23]

I mean, it's nice.

[01:53:24]

I'm not going to tell anybody that it's not nice, but I don't crave it.

[01:53:30]

Yeah, I don't crave it.

[01:53:35]

At once upon a time, I was.

[01:53:37]

Like, man, I want people to know.

[01:53:39]

Me like my brother. I want people to know me like they know John lway. I know.

[01:53:44]

Be careful what you ask for.

[01:53:47]

God just might give it to see it just.

[01:53:50]

It just came with a territory for me. It came with a territory I had played, and I built myself up to.

[01:53:57]

A certain status and certain figure where.

[01:54:01]

I became a household name very early, and it's still that way. But my approach is always different.

[01:54:08]

You come bother me. You come bother me while I'm eating.

[01:54:11]

You come and bother me while I'm eating at a restaurant. I'm going to make you pull up.

[01:54:14]

A chair, and we're going to finish the meal together.

[01:54:17]

I'm like that. I'm different. I always treat people when I see them, not saying, I mean, I'm just a little different. I'm a social butterfly. I talk a lot. If you walk up to me, I hold a conversation, which you have 20.

[01:54:31]

Goddamn 30 minutes, I ain't got nowhere to go.

[01:54:35]

I've done it to people before that bother me out at restaurants or places I might be at the time, and I will force you to sit down with me and finish a meal and have a conversation.

[01:54:45]

Yeah.

[01:54:45]

If you interrupt.

[01:54:46]

Oh, yeah, you interrupt my oldest daughter.

[01:54:52]

When I would get the kids for the summer, because I would get them.

[01:54:55]

For the summer, and we go out to eat. If somebody come up to talk about autograph, she wasn't having it.

[01:55:02]

She said, no. She said, this is my time with my daddy.

[01:55:05]

Yeah, with the kids.

[01:55:06]

My kids.

[01:55:07]

Don't be tripping, because I didn't get.

[01:55:12]

A whole lot of time with them. I didn't get a whole lot of opportunity to sit down and eat. How was camp today? What are we going to do? We go to six flags, blah, blah, blah, things like that. And so she's like, just that little bit of time to sign an autograph or to carry a conversation that was.

[01:55:30]

Going to take away from her.

[01:55:35]

She's always been the vocal one, the other ones. Now, my daughter, when I went to see her graduate, when she graduated, and people like, because I was like, I told her mom, I said, look, I'm going to come in there. Hey, you go in and sit down. Let me know where you're sitting. I'm going to come in there once.

[01:55:50]

The kind of ceremony start, ease in there. And so once the ceremony is like.

[01:55:57]

People started.

[01:56:00]

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

[01:56:02]

And so by that time, she had started to come, she's like, nah, this is my day. Yeah, ain't no picture. I'm the only one taking pictures with dad, right?

[01:56:09]

So I was like, hey, she's spoken.

[01:56:13]

Hey, listen, my kids be funny, man, when we travel.

[01:56:17]

Oh, but we in a pack.

[01:56:19]

This ain't no one, two, or Naza. It's a bunch of us.

[01:56:22]

Now.

[01:56:23]

When somebody come ask me for a picture, shit, everybody's jumping in the. Listen, I know they got a family photo. Yeah, family photo. You get every last one of us. It'd be so goddamn funny, man.

[01:56:38]

Ojo.

[01:56:39]

Neil west asked Ocho, when did you first get into cigars.

[01:56:42]

Oh, man.

[01:56:44]

Listen, I never forget 1991. You know, when you're young and you.

[01:56:48]

Want to be cool, you want to.

[01:56:50]

Hang with the crowd. But one thing I wasn't going to be able to do is to walk in my grandma house smelling like no goddamn weed.

[01:56:57]

So what did I do?

[01:56:59]

Because I wanted to fit in. I just wanted to be a part of them. I started smoking cigars because I saw it on the show, I think, with Jake and the fat man. Remember the show? Jake and the fat. Had. We had the little bulldog.

[01:57:10]

Yeah, man.

[01:57:11]

He had a goddamn cigar.

[01:57:13]

I follow him.

[01:57:14]

I went to high school at beach High on the beach. There was a cigar place right on Washington Avenue. I'd never forget, man.

[01:57:23]

I grabbed a cigar and started smoking cigars when I was with the Phillips.

[01:57:28]

And that's how the cigar thing started. Now, as I became to learn more about cigars as time went on, obviously now I have my own brand, and I've been smoking cigars since 1991. That's crazy. For a long time.

[01:57:41]

Very long time. David Bryson said, ocho, I witnessed greatness seeing your daughter Chanel run track at the Junior Olympics a while back. She's the real deal.

[01:57:50]

How is she?

[01:57:50]

She's doing good, man. Mocha's out there. Mocha is out there at University of Kentucky. She just won her first collegiate race last home. Everybody's home in Miami for Christmas break.

[01:58:02]

Kentucky got a nice little mclaughlin. Abby Steiner.

[01:58:08]

Abby Steiner.

[01:58:09]

Kenny Harrison. Yeah.

[01:58:11]

So she's up there getting that good work in. She won her first collegiate race last weekend.

[01:58:16]

So I'm excited. I'm excited.

[01:58:18]

Yeah. I'm going to see the trials. I think the trials is up in Oregon. I'm going to take some time off if it ain't. I got some time off, but I'm going to see the Olympic trial. I hadn't seen the trial since 96.

[01:58:31]

Olympic trials. Damn. Yeah, they was in Atlanta. You've been busy.

[01:58:37]

Yeah, but I love tracking field.

[01:58:39]

It's my favorite sport to watch. For real? Yeah.

[01:58:43]

My favorite sport is, well, obviously soccer.

[01:58:48]

Rodney Dinkins. That's my boy from the Creole.

[01:58:50]

Rod.

[01:58:52]

Will you be doing nightcap with the Olympics? Absolutely. We're going to come on during the Olympics. I've already reached out to a couple of participants that I think is going.

[01:59:02]

To be in there, and we're just waiting.

[01:59:05]

But my boy, Ry, Benjamin, Fred, Curly.

[01:59:35]

You know what I got? Let me tell you what.

[01:59:37]

You know what I got? I got 400 meters speed, 200 meters speed, 100 meters speed to talk about.

[01:59:44]

No. Now you smoking a cigar, your lungs.

[01:59:48]

I work out every day.

[01:59:50]

Look who calling me man. Rail now.

[01:59:56]

You know I'm on the show right now, man.

[02:00:00]

Yeah, we still live rail.

[02:00:05]

Come on, man. You doing that? You playing my money, man. Don't play my money like that.

[02:00:11]

Yeah, man.

[02:00:12]

Come on, man.

[02:00:12]

I got to go. Yeah.

[02:00:14]

So, Rock, to answer your question. Yes. We're going to try to. Hopefully, we're going to be able to line up some correspondence, reach out to some people. I'm very excited about the Olympics. Wish those guys the best of luck. Afizel Riemann, love from UK. Guys, thoughts on dating Neil long? She's single and classy. You guys would love look. I guess he said look great together.

[02:00:43]

Ocho set this up? No, we good. You good?

[02:00:48]

Yeah, I know her.

[02:00:50]

Check this out.

[02:00:51]

One of my ex teammates, Harry Swain, his wife and Neil were best friends.

[02:00:57]

Yeah.

[02:00:58]

So I met her back at the first Super bowl in San Diego. So that was in January of 98. And then there was an event out here back in 2017, 2018, that I actually took a picture with her and she asked me, did I remember? And I was like, yeah, I remember you. So we had a conversation. So that's the only. But, no, I'm good. Look here. I may. Might not have gotten over her, you know, he'll call Lebron out of his name, so he.

[02:01:32]

Okay, okay.

[02:01:34]

I don't want no smoke.

[02:01:35]

No. I'm going to get you right. I'm get you right. Because you ain't no Regina hall.

[02:01:48]

No Neil long.

[02:01:49]

I ain't about no Regina Hall. I don't know. They say my celebrity crush. I said, she my celebrity crush.

[02:01:55]

I know, but listen, we could make that crush happen.

[02:01:59]

Ain't got to be no crush. We could come into fruition. It could be a real thing.

[02:02:03]

Ocho, why you won't just let me live my life?

[02:02:06]

I'm letting you live your life, but.

[02:02:07]

You ain't living it right. I'm living it right. Hold on, man.

[02:02:18]

The real superstar gamer, Uncle Ocho. Big fan of you both. I did something unbelievable. I sucked my girlfriend toes with butter, ketchup, vinegar and honey. She told me. She said, where did you get the idea from? I said, uncle Ocho. Her response was, oh, my God, I love you.

[02:02:40]

See what I'm talking about? Let me tell you something, a young fella. Now, listen.

[02:02:46]

We got to take it to the next level now. Let's take it to the next level now. You don't went through the toad, now.

[02:02:53]

Get you some whipped cream, right?

[02:02:55]

Turn on her stomach.

[02:02:56]

You hear me? Get you some whipped cream. Turn on her stomach.

[02:03:01]

Stay with me now.

[02:03:02]

Get you.

[02:03:02]

You better have a plate fitting on her back.

[02:03:06]

Get you a strawberry or get you a cherry.

[02:03:10]

Take that whipped cream. You know where to put it.

[02:03:15]

Hold on.

[02:03:16]

Yeah.

[02:03:19]

Look here, you don't got everything from toes to elbows and in between.

[02:03:23]

Yeah. Are we in between right now?

[02:03:25]

We in between right now? Listen, man out his mind, you know.

[02:03:30]

Where it normally exit, but you never in them.

[02:03:33]

That's where you put the whipped cream.

[02:03:35]

You hear me?

[02:03:36]

You put your cherry.

[02:03:38]

Yeah. Put your Mac, boy, your whole face, boy.

[02:03:41]

What you talking about?

[02:03:44]

Okay, we.

[02:03:46]

She on the back.

[02:03:47]

I get the front part, right? But.

[02:03:49]

Come on, ocho.

[02:03:50]

You bet.

[02:03:54]

I guess you right around the corner. Slip of the tongue. Ain't nobody fault, ocho. You right around the corner.

[02:03:58]

Listen, the goddamn tanning number. This big boy, you never lick no ass.

[02:04:02]

Oh.

[02:04:08]

God dang, ocho.

[02:04:34]

First date be doing all that, okay?

[02:04:40]

You got to be like Christopher Columbus, baby. You got to explore.

[02:04:45]

No, man, you begin.

[02:04:47]

Best round to be done.

[02:04:48]

Got shipwrecked fooling with y'all.

[02:04:54]

Okay, you got a girl. Y'all been together for a year or two. Okay, fine. But, ocho, y'all doing that off the rip now. Yeah, you supposed to do it. Come on, ocho.

[02:05:06]

Now, y'all.

[02:05:07]

Can I ask you a, like, have.

[02:05:09]

You been fishing before? Yeah, I like to fish.

[02:05:12]

You ever threw your fish in the goddamn water without the motherfucking bait on there?

[02:05:19]

No. Can you catch a fish without the bait?

[02:05:21]

But when I go fishing, I'm fishing for a particular type of fish. I don't just go eat it. I just don't go fish for everything.

[02:05:29]

When you go fishing, whatever you catch, you eat.

[02:05:32]

No. Hell, no. I'll throw it back if it ain't what I'm fishing for. What the hell wrong with you? Hell, no.

[02:05:42]

Bad. You out your damn mind.

[02:05:47]

Just because you get on my line, that don't mean I'm a real your ass in to keep you. Hey, come on, man. That was a good one. Now I see why your boy been out of gas lately. The young boys doing it up out here.

[02:06:04]

I see.

[02:06:05]

Nah, listen, this ain't nothing new. You just behind the eight ball. Listen, you still got the Motorola razor. You got the Motorola razor, and we got the goddamn iPhone 15. That's the problem. You just say, you're not evolving, unc. You're not evolving. You got to evolve with the time, man. You'd be doing that caveman shit.

[02:06:28]

No, I walked there one time.

[02:06:32]

My homeboy. I thought my homeboy was looking at curtains.

[02:06:37]

I thought he was looking at the curtain. Cheeks open like that.

[02:06:41]

Yeah, that technique is bad. You can't open this way. You got to get your little oil. Got to get you a little oil because you don't want to spit the crack, man. Because you know if she dry, you can spit the crack.

[02:06:55]

You hear me? I need to take this to the heat.

[02:06:59]

Ocho.

[02:07:00]

Y'all doing too much. You all doing too much.

[02:07:03]

I'm just trying to get you where you're trying to go, baby.

[02:07:05]

I'm just trying to get you where you're trying to go.

[02:07:09]

Sean. Sean. Record asks why you grossed out about eating booty? Yeah, you eat positive raccoon, but I had to build up the dad. That's an acquired taste, I guess booty is acquired taste.

[02:07:21]

You think ass ain't acquired taste?

[02:07:23]

What.

[02:07:27]

They can't do it jamaican style? What about Korean?

[02:07:30]

That's a delicacy. It's a delicacy? Yeah, man, I'm telling you, man, it's a delicacy. It is? Yeah. Listen, you take the toe. You know what?

[02:07:46]

I ain't going to go.

[02:07:53]

In other words. So this is like a first date kind of thing.

[02:07:58]

A first date?

[02:07:59]

Boy, first impressions are everything.

[02:08:02]

What?

[02:08:03]

When you fill out a goddamn resume, you go in that goddamn job interview. Do you go in that motherfucking half stepping or are you trying to get the motherfucking job?

[02:08:10]

You trying to get a job, ain't you? Lift them up, turn them, flip them, spread them toes.

[02:08:20]

I need to put the muscle to you.

[02:08:21]

Put it to use, man.

[02:08:22]

Listen, I can't do no 180 like that. No 222.

[02:08:26]

Ten.

[02:08:26]

I need a fun five. I need somebody.

[02:08:31]

Like you said, 210, I'm all in.

[02:08:36]

I can't hold no 210 like that.

[02:08:38]

No, listen, she upside down. You standing up. Listen, stay with me now.

[02:08:45]

I'm with you.

[02:08:46]

She upside down, right?

[02:08:47]

Yeah, but she faces that way. What?

[02:08:51]

Yeah, that way. Because you strong.

[02:08:54]

Boom.

[02:08:55]

And right here, all you got to do is just put your head down. It's right there in front of you. Remember, she facing that way. So ahead, down at the bottom, but she facing the opposite way, so, boom. It's right there in front of you. Little whipped cream right here. Little whipped cream.

[02:09:08]

Spray it.

[02:09:09]

Put little cherry there.

[02:09:10]

Boom. Get the cherry. Get the boom.

[02:09:13]

Like I want no chase. Well, if I'm going to do all that, I don't need no chaser. So you putting chase on that thing. I don't need no chaser.

[02:09:20]

Wait, hold on.

[02:09:21]

What's the chaser? The chaser?

[02:09:22]

The cherry, the whipped cream. Oh, you don't want no whipped cream?

[02:09:26]

Oh, that's just to dilute the taste. In case you got any turtle heads.

[02:09:32]

We go to the shower. I'm washing that thing myself. I ain't taking her word for it. When she come up out of that thing will be hog chitlin clean. There you go.

[02:09:42]

There you go.

[02:09:43]

Yeah, I'm going to do that one.

[02:09:44]

But this is for the rookies. This is for the rookie, just in case.

[02:09:50]

This is for the rookies, just in case. But hold on.

[02:09:54]

You have to understand, I ate possum and raccoon when I didn't really have a choice.

[02:10:00]

What?

[02:10:00]

Nobody bringing no baby back ribs or what? Nobody bringing no New York strip or no prime.

[02:10:04]

So that's what we had to eat. Yeah, right.

[02:10:09]

Listen, I guess that's why my phone don't be ringing.

[02:10:12]

Yeah, I mean that, too. But we got to get you to evolve.

[02:10:17]

Maybe you don't drunk our booty juice.

[02:10:22]

I don't drink.

[02:10:24]

You doing all that, you booty juice drunk?

[02:10:26]

No.

[02:10:30]

And listen, the funny thing about it, those that are in the chat.

[02:10:33]

I promise you, ocho, don't you offer me nothing. Look here. If we get stranded on a desert island and we ain't got but one jug of water, if you drink out that water, I'm done.

[02:10:43]

I'm out.

[02:10:46]

Just go ahead. Go by.

[02:10:47]

Just.

[02:10:47]

Hey, ocho. Go ahead on, man. Tell them. Hey, tell my kids I love them. Tell my brother and sister I love them. Everything's been taken care of, but I ain't drinking after you, ocho. I can't do that.

[02:10:58]

You're going to be all right, man.

[02:11:01]

I can't do it, ocho.

[02:11:02]

I'm just trying to get you right.

[02:11:07]

You don't put that much tongue in that girl, boonkie. Oh, no.

[02:11:14]

I look further than that.

[02:11:15]

About an inch and a half. Not about foe foes. Jesus, man up, man.

[02:11:32]

I'm gonna let y'all have that one.

[02:11:34]

Matter of fact, listen, I mean, the chat. I mean, I have a YouTube tutorial on stuff like this, so if anybody.

[02:11:40]

Wants a little bit more extensive. We don't.

[02:11:45]

Extensive tutorial on some of the things you can do. You can go to my YouTube and.

[02:11:49]

Check out my tutorial.

[02:11:52]

They can dig out.

[02:11:53]

Your tutorial?

[02:11:54]

Yeah, I have a tutorial.

[02:11:58]

Called the Ocho camasutra.

[02:12:00]

The Ocho camasutra tutorial.

[02:12:05]

I did have one of those posters, but, man, you can't do. Look here man, they just be putting stuff up there, man, doing all that. Man.

[02:12:14]

People can't be doing all them positions. Yeah, I mean, you can.

[02:12:20]

Well, to do some of those positions, you need one more plundering. Peters. I ain't got one of them. My thing got gps. It go right to where it's supposed to go. I ain't got one. If they'd be looping all around and.

[02:12:34]

Going up on the corner.

[02:12:39]

I'm sorry, ocho, I got a.

[02:12:47]

Where you shot at?

[02:12:50]

Ocho is a menace that he ever. Ocho is a menace. You unleashed on the world. Now you're responsible for this? Yeah, unfortunately, I am, guys. Unfortunately, I am bad.

[02:13:01]

This joker here, ocho, they say they're.

[02:13:04]

Going to official licensing game. Every time ocho tell an obvious lie.

[02:13:09]

To take a drink. What have I lied about?

[02:13:13]

Anything I've said on this show on multiple occasions is through life experience.

[02:13:20]

Just like where you booty.

[02:13:22]

When I said I beat goddamn Gilbert arena said one on one, he was like, hell, no, you didn't. And then he had to come on and tell you the same thing with LeBron. I'm waiting on LeBron.

[02:13:31]

I'm waiting on Westbrook.

[02:13:33]

Who else? I beat one on one.

[02:13:34]

Dwayne Carmelo.

[02:13:36]

Who else I beat one on?

[02:13:38]

Demar de Rosen.

[02:13:41]

All these dudes. I mean, I beat one on one, and they were struggling against me because I'm so goddamn quick and fast. It had nothing to do with height. It had nothing to do with none of that off the dribble, boy.

[02:13:51]

You done Marcus says my queen.

[02:13:54]

And I love the show. It would mean a lot if y'all could help me wish Tierra Corey a happy birthday.

[02:14:01]

Tierra Corey, happy birthday. Happy birthday. T, make sure you grab that whipped cream tonight. What?

[02:14:11]

Yeah, that's a special occasion. Yeah, see, that kind of stuff, that's special. I talk about special.

[02:14:19]

Like fifth anniversary, 25th anniversary, stuff like that. Oh, yeah.

[02:14:24]

Or, okay, Valentine's her birthday. That ain't no.

[02:14:29]

Oh, baby.

[02:14:30]

Oh, I'm feeling frisky.

[02:14:31]

Let's do this.

[02:14:32]

That ain't that kind of.

[02:14:35]

Mean.

[02:14:36]

You with me? I mean, this ain't something that you do on a normal.

[02:14:38]

Okay.

[02:14:38]

I mean, this. It's got to be special.

[02:14:39]

Ocho ain't shit.

[02:14:41]

Me ain't got to be special. Wide open, boy.

[02:14:46]

I got to take my glass off of this one.

[02:14:48]

I'm from Liberty City, man. Wide open.

[02:14:52]

Down 95.

[02:14:54]

Doing 100. What you waiting on? This is hard, folks.

[02:15:01]

AJ Diaz, Uncle Ocho. Love the show. Two questions, Unc. Do you have a favorite undisputed episode or a segment you're extra proud of. And, ocho, what story you've always wanted to tell her but never got a chance, man.

[02:15:16]

Look, bro, I'm going to be honest with you, AJ. Every episode that I did, I had.

[02:15:24]

Six years, nine months of great. There were a few times that I.

[02:15:28]

Thought it went over the line, but.

[02:15:31]

Bro, I poured my heart and soul into it.

[02:15:34]

I can't even lie.

[02:15:35]

I was as prepared as I could possibly be. And like I said, I'm not going.

[02:15:41]

To let two, three bad episodes ruin.

[02:15:47]

The six years and nine months of great times.

[02:15:49]

So for me, it was great when.

[02:15:54]

Skip gave me the goat and I had the goat and he had the 23 jersey on. I had great moments.

[02:16:02]

I've had 1000 more great moments.

[02:16:06]

The great moments overshadow any bad moments. And I think the thing, what happened.

[02:16:10]

Is that people have replayed the bad.

[02:16:13]

Moments so much more so than the good moments.

[02:16:17]

But, man, I had an was.

[02:16:23]

I wouldn't have been here without undisputed. No matter what transpired at the end.

[02:16:28]

There is no nightcap with Uncle Ocho.

[02:16:31]

I don't believe without undisputed. I don't believe that there is Shannon on first take. Without undisputed, I don't believe I'm the number one sports celebrity voted for by complex sports personality, owned by complex, without undisputed.

[02:16:47]

So I appreciate everything undisputed did for sharing the sharp. What you got, Ojo? What you got?

[02:16:57]

What story you've always wanted to tell.

[02:16:59]

Who you want to tell, what you want to tell, but never got a chance. A story that I wanted to tell. Yeah, I ain't really got know.

[02:17:08]

I've been an open book since day one. So I don't really had nothing. I share every goddamn thing. And the fact when you live your life public like that, where you don't have nothing, you share every goddamn thing going on. I tweet every goddamn thing I'm doing, where I'm going, what I got going on.

[02:17:26]

So it's like there's no surprises.

[02:17:29]

So I ain't really got nothing to.

[02:17:30]

Share because I tell the motherfucking world my every fucking move.

[02:17:34]

Love the show, fellas. Question for both of you. UNc, top five hip hop artists from Atlanta and Ocho, top five hip hop artists from Miami.

[02:17:42]

God dang shit. From Miami. Ross, pit bull, Uncle Luke, trick daddy.

[02:17:55]

Shit, Trina, I'm talking about.

[02:17:57]

I don't want to say it ain't even fair.

[02:18:00]

It's too many people from Atlanta. And there's something I'm missing, but I'm just off the top of my head. I'm just thinking of people from Miami.

[02:18:08]

Off the top of my head. Yeah, well, you can't have no list from Atlanta that involve hip hop without Usher. Usher, not hip hop. He talk a rap, though, if you want rap. Okay, rap, bro.

[02:18:29]

We got outcast, we got future, we got chains, we got ti. I mean, not. We are jeezy. You all got a lot.

[02:18:39]

Big boy Andre 3000.

[02:18:42]

Yes. You all got a man, we loaded down there. But if I had to say, and I know most of these, I forgot Trina.

[02:18:55]

Shoot, Jackie O, man, I can keep going.

[02:19:00]

And do you know.

[02:19:01]

We got baby, y'all. We got baby.

[02:19:02]

We got face. Yeah.

[02:19:04]

We got TLC, we got Monica.

[02:19:09]

You all got a lot.

[02:19:12]

We got escape. We loaded.

[02:19:19]

And we got them things down there, too.

[02:19:21]

We got magic, allure, diamond. Yeah.

[02:19:29]

Okay.

[02:19:31]

Doodle brown.

[02:19:33]

I want to rock.

[02:19:36]

How should the NFL handle situation like.

[02:19:39]

Matt Araza going forward?

[02:19:42]

The punt, God, he was the guy that, if I'm not mistaken, San Diego State.

[02:19:46]

Right?

[02:19:46]

San Diego State. He led the nation. He was the Luke Grosa award. He led the nation in punting. He got selected by the Buffalo Bills.

[02:19:54]

I think, what, 2nd, 3rd round?

[02:19:57]

But he was a high draft pick for a punter.

[02:19:59]

And.

[02:20:02]

At a party, young lady said she was sexually assaulted and accused him.

[02:20:06]

Of being a participant. Yeah. Army coming in this goddamn house this time. And it's late. Fuck got going on.

[02:20:25]

It's damned if you do, it's damned if you don't. Yeah, because if they'd have done nothing, everybody go say, man, they ain't do nothing to him. He got accused of this. And if you do something and then they say they overreacted. I just don't know. In a situation like this, honestly, Luke, I don't know how the NFL, because they've never been faced with situations because when the NFL was instituted, they have no manual for this.

[02:20:49]

Right.

[02:20:50]

So this is figure it out as you go along.

[02:20:56]

I'm just glad he was exonerated.

[02:21:00]

He was found. It's tough because you get that letter hung on you.

[02:21:08]

It's tough. It's tough.

[02:21:11]

I hope some other team help broncos. Give him a chance. Ravens, somebody give him a chance. He deserves an opportunity. He's too, because the question that I have, Ocho had this situation not arose.

[02:21:25]

Would he be in the NFL now.

[02:21:28]

That the situation has been.

[02:21:29]

He's been cleared, he's been exonerated. What's the hold up?

[02:21:36]

So hopefully everything works out in his favor, and he gets an opportunity to get to play in NFL.

[02:21:41]

Yeah, he probably will next year.

[02:21:43]

I'm sure somebody will pick him up. Go ahead. Maybe the Bears bring him back next year. What you think? I hope so.

[02:21:52]

I hope he gets an opportunity.

[02:21:53]

He deserves that.

[02:21:56]

Amber Lewis said, hey, uncle Ocho, been a fan since day one, watching live from the island of Guam. Love you.

[02:22:02]

Who day.

[02:22:03]

Thank you, Amber.

[02:22:03]

Thank you for the support.

[02:22:06]

Make sure, before we go any further, make sure you click that, like, button. Make sure you hit the subscribe button. Make sure you go over and give us a review at Apple Podcast. Make sure you give us a know. It don't have to be good. I'm sure we'd love to have a good review. But if you don't think we're good.

[02:22:20]

Tell us that, and then tell us.

[02:22:22]

Why you don't think we're good. Tell us what we need to do better, and we'll try to improve upon that. We've also pinned the link Shay by LA Portier at the top of the page. Holidays are right around the corner. Coming up real quick, make sure you go out and get a bottle for.

[02:22:35]

You or a loved one.

[02:22:37]

Who else? We got? What we got? What we got?

[02:22:39]

What we got.

[02:22:41]

Okay. Spoke luau. Self spoken luau. My name is Laurent, and I love what you guys are doing. What advice would you give someone who thinks they're not enough? Are you talking about you don't think you're enough, or she doesn't think she's enough?

[02:22:59]

That's a good one, mate. What?

[02:23:01]

Would you say that again? Say it again so I get a better understanding of what he was asking.

[02:23:06]

He says, what advice would you give.

[02:23:09]

To someone who thinks they're not enough?

[02:23:17]

Damn if you don't think you're not enough. I never thought like that. Listen, confident.

[02:23:23]

Confidence.

[02:23:26]

Confidence.

[02:23:27]

Got confidence. But, shit, you losing the battle already?

[02:23:30]

You don't lost half the battle already. Yeah.

[02:23:33]

You always got to have that confidence. Always.

[02:23:36]

Women like a man with confidence.

[02:23:39]

Yeah. You got to.

[02:23:40]

You got to walk like it before.

[02:23:41]

You even open your mouth.

[02:23:43]

Your aura, your presence, how you carry yourself.

[02:23:47]

Yeah.

[02:23:48]

When they see.

[02:23:51]

When they see Unc. That's a man. Yeah.

[02:23:56]

The way I carry myself, the way I conduct myself.

[02:24:00]

I'm firm. I'm sturdy. But they're like, okay.

[02:24:05]

He's subtle. Okay.

[02:24:06]

Yeah.

[02:24:08]

Smooth.

[02:24:08]

Got a big heart.

[02:24:10]

Yeah. Sense of humor.

[02:24:13]

I got a great sense of humor sometime, if you guys hadn't noticed it. And, yes, they like. I often wonder, like, comedians, when they meet someone, do they want them to.

[02:24:33]

Tell them jokes or tell them stories?

[02:24:36]

And I often wonder that. But, you know, ocho, over the last.

[02:24:41]

Seven, eight years, people want to hear.

[02:24:45]

Women want to hear.

[02:24:48]

Yeah. Yeah.

[02:24:50]

Your experiences, some of the things you've.

[02:24:51]

Been with and the stories that I've.

[02:24:55]

Been telling, these are the ones that I could tell on air. Some things would probably need to go in a book or go in the grave with me. That's the bad part, because the story that I've told, I probably got a thousand more that I can't.

[02:25:12]

Right.

[02:25:15]

Laney Ray says, jenna Ocho, you always talk about what you're giving others for Christmas. What's the best Christmas gift you've ever gotten? And what do you want for.

[02:25:24]

Oh, yo, that's a good Christmas gift. Best Christmas gift I've ever gotten. And I don't even like gifts. I like to be doing the giving.

[02:25:36]

Obviously, to the kids.

[02:25:40]

I'm a giver.

[02:25:41]

Yeah, I'm a giver as well.

[02:25:44]

The best gift I've ever gotten.

[02:25:47]

Oh, my goodness.

[02:25:49]

And I'm simple, too, with the gifts. I like. I like stuff like soccer jerseys, retro stuff.

[02:25:56]

My mom got me a pair of air Jordans.

[02:26:00]

The twos.

[02:26:02]

I got a pair of those.

[02:26:04]

I got. What did I get?

[02:26:08]

Do you remember those handheld football games that came out, like, in the late 70s?

[02:26:16]

They used to have football game, like.

[02:26:18]

A little football game.

[02:26:19]

Yeah. I got to see it. I'm trying to think best, favorite, best.

[02:26:27]

I'm trying to think the best gift.

[02:26:30]

And I think Lainey Ray. I think that's her name. I think when she's asking, I think.

[02:26:38]

She'S talking about a gift that someone like a female has given.

[02:26:42]

That has given. Yeah. Oh, shit.

[02:26:51]

I gave him a mean one. I mean, what crippled? I gave Mama mean Santa Claus came down the trip and heard that. Went right back up there.

[02:27:02]

What it was? I gave a mean one. You gave who a mean one?

[02:27:10]

She wanted ten inches to make it hurt.

[02:27:12]

Yeah.

[02:27:13]

I hit her three times and hit her with an elbow.

[02:27:16]

Yeah. And I was out the door. Don't even play with them.

[02:27:24]

Don't even play with them. Damn.

[02:27:27]

Best man, ocho. Because I'm like you, ocho. I'm really simple.

[02:27:37]

Probably. Matter of fact, I can't even think of none.

[02:27:41]

I could think of one of the nicest gifts I got in general. But not Christmas time.

[02:27:51]

Oh, my goodness. Probably. No, the best gift, it wasn't just Christmas. It was for my birthday.

[02:28:01]

I had an ex get me a picture of my grandmother.

[02:28:08]

It was the picture that I have in my truck, and it's me and my brother at the hall of fame. And then my grandmother is in the.

[02:28:19]

That's the. That's nice, because.

[02:28:26]

Everybody knows what my grandmother means. And then I just, like, for the longest time, ocho, every.

[02:28:31]

Every gift that I had gotten, I.

[02:28:34]

Had given the individual the money to get the gift. So when I started getting things and the woman was buying it with her.

[02:28:41]

Own money, that, like, okay, but I'm simple. I don't know.

[02:28:51]

I know one of the nicest.

[02:28:53]

Just give me a card. Just give me a card. And if I deal with you like that.

[02:29:00]

We know what it is. Yeah. I think that the nicest gift I ever got was, you know, I love smart cars. People have made fun of me in my smart car since 2006. But miss thing in there, every time I hit 10,000 miles on a smart car, I get a new one, and I put the Matte wrap, or the.

[02:29:20]

Black matte wrap on it, and I.

[02:29:23]

Got to the 10,000 yard mark on one of them, and this one here.

[02:29:27]

Surprised me with a new smart car.

[02:29:31]

Yeah, man.

[02:29:36]

You know what? I'm really simple, ocho, because like I said, my kids always say, daddy, what.

[02:29:42]

Do we get you?

[02:29:43]

What do we get you, daddy, what can we buy you that you don't already have?

[02:29:50]

I wish my kids would ask me that, because I'm going to say, I want me a yacht. I want the same kind of yacht goddamn mark Cuban got.

[02:29:56]

So y'all pitch.

[02:29:57]

Y'all get your motherfucking money together. I want the same yacht just like that.

[02:30:02]

Well, they better start developing something. Developing something to get that yacht that he got. But for me, ocho, I just think.

[02:30:12]

Look, like I said, I'm simple, man.

[02:30:14]

I just.

[02:30:15]

Hey, miss you.

[02:30:16]

Thinking about you.

[02:30:17]

Love you. Hey, kiss. I'm good. Yeah. Because Christmas has lost the meaning, because.

[02:30:26]

That'S not what Christmas was about.

[02:30:28]

I mean, it's not what it's about, but, you know, it's hard to tell kids that Christmas is not about getting.

[02:30:32]

No, I ain't talking about kids. I'm talking about the kids go get toys. Kids go get toys and stuff.

[02:30:44]

That's a good one.

[02:30:45]

I'm trying to think if you could say, you know what? If you could get one thing for Christmas right now.

[02:30:52]

Right now.

[02:30:52]

Me, right now? Yeah. Oh, give me cigars.

[02:30:56]

I know I have my own brand.

[02:30:58]

Of cigars, but for me, it will.

[02:31:01]

Be a box of chat.

[02:31:02]

Listen to me, if you all want to send me some for Christmas, send me a box of Daniel Marshall 24 carat gold leaf cigars. Get me a box of.

[02:31:14]

I'm going to say it again. You know my address.

[02:31:17]

Daniel Marshall 24 carat gold leaf cigar.

[02:31:22]

Yeah, that's what I want.

[02:31:25]

If I wake up Christmas morning on.

[02:31:27]

The motherfucking 25th and I got a.

[02:31:30]

Box at the motherfucking Daniel Marshalls, somebody in this house going to be pregnant, and they're going to be due next year around September. I tell you no lie.

[02:31:42]

You see, I had to throw that little hint out because I know she.

[02:31:45]

Could probably hit me. You ain't going to beat me to the punch. I tell you what, you said 2020.

[02:31:51]

Folks were having kids.

[02:31:53]

I want to come down there because I'm going to post a picture of my Christmas tree.

[02:31:57]

Yeah, don't post a picture of my cribba tree.

[02:32:00]

I want to come down there. What?

[02:32:01]

Baldi? Yeah.

[02:32:03]

Okay.

[02:32:04]

Look over that tree. That thing.

[02:32:05]

Butt ball. Yeah, that one. I want that. What I want for Krilla.

[02:32:16]

Ocho, you owe me some underwear. Laughing at you guys tonight is one of the best. Is one for the books.

[02:32:22]

Cool whip, you also wonder what you.

[02:32:27]

Nah, I think she talked about maybe from laughing.

[02:32:31]

Oh, okay.

[02:32:32]

Yeah. You must done well. Black and gold for life. Ocho, will you let her put whipped cream on you from the back?

[02:32:46]

Just like. Listen, I just explained.

[02:32:52]

I'm just as. I'm a giver. I'm the giver. I'm the pleaser.

[02:32:56]

I don't work that way. No, sir.

[02:33:02]

I like. We was going with it, too. It's a good question, though.

[02:33:05]

Black, you let him put the whipped cream. I don't need no whipped cream at the house.

[02:33:08]

I'm good.

[02:33:09]

I don't play that. No, sir. Listen, you got to ask these days, too.

[02:33:17]

Where are you going, baby?

[02:33:20]

Yeah, you got to ask these days.

[02:33:21]

That's a good question.

[02:33:23]

And you know me, I don't care. I'm going to tell you. I talk about everything. I'm an open book, always have been.

[02:33:29]

But now I don't play that.

[02:33:30]

Kgl Nero, what questions do you guys ask on the first date? Also, would you guys consider doing the amazing rings together? Much love with nowhere with you, ocho. That means we got to drink out the same jug. That ain't going to happen.

[02:33:46]

The first thing you think about the amazing race, we going to win. We going to win the amazing race because of our competitive nature.

[02:33:53]

Do I get my own jug?

[02:33:55]

Yeah, you got your own jug.

[02:33:56]

Okay, well, we could possibly do it.

[02:34:02]

You're trying to sabotage, man.

[02:34:04]

You understand? All I'm going to be thinking about that you're going to have cool whip.

[02:34:10]

Cherry ice. Yeah.

[02:34:12]

He doesn't have somebody booty cheeks pulled apart like he look at new curtains.

[02:34:17]

Hey, we're going to get you there, man.

[02:34:19]

No, we're going to get me nowhere.

[02:34:20]

I'll.

[02:34:21]

Leave me alone. Leave me alone. Trust me, I'll leave you alone.

[02:34:26]

You gonna be nasty your whole life. Hey, clean your life up, ocho. You want to be the pope?

[02:34:33]

You want to be the pope, or you want to give a woman hope?

[02:34:36]

Which one?

[02:34:37]

You want to be the pope or.

[02:34:39]

You want to give a woman hope?

[02:34:41]

I want to give her that rope. Do you guys.

[02:34:51]

Hold on, ocho. He says.

[02:34:55]

Okay, what do you guys like to ask on a first date?

[02:34:59]

How much?

[02:35:00]

Because we supposed to ask that question, remember?

[02:35:02]

How much?

[02:35:11]

What do you like to do? Where are you from? You got the brothers and sisters? What do you do for work?

[02:35:21]

Are you from here?

[02:35:24]

Ain't asking all that bullshit, man. I ain't got time. That's all that gray area bullshit, man.

[02:35:32]

What's up? What are you trying to do?

[02:35:36]

We going to eat, man. What are we going to do?

[02:35:40]

So what you trying to do? You're trying to box with foe robs?

[02:35:43]

Are we barbecue in a meal, doing all these questions?

[02:35:46]

Are you barbecue?

[02:35:47]

In case we had dinner? We had first date. I'm sitting here pretending like I care. Talk about all this bullshit. I really don't give a fuck about. Like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Man, you trying to fuck away.

[02:35:57]

What's up?

[02:36:02]

When I were you young, I'm 55.

[02:36:13]

Come on, baby.

[02:36:15]

Man, uncle here talk about first date questions, man. He going asking all these questions, man, like, what you like to do? And trying to hear all that shit. What you trying to. I'm trying to. I'm trying to flip your ass upside down. I'm going to make you touch every goddamn. Every wall in this goddamn hotel what you're doing and got time for that shit. I'm 55, man.

[02:36:41]

I'm 55. Come on, man.

[02:36:46]

When you get 55, man, you just can't just roll up and say the stain like a 20 year old, 30 year old.

[02:36:51]

Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Just.

[02:36:54]

Hey, listen, you pop that diamond and.

[02:36:55]

You ask the question, we say you.

[02:36:58]

Put it under the tongue, right?

[02:36:59]

That liquid? That liquid you put up on your tongue?

[02:37:01]

Yeah. Put it under your tongue.

[02:37:03]

You ask the question, you got time for all that shit.

[02:37:09]

What did they say?

[02:37:10]

No.

[02:37:12]

Then your stomach hurting?

[02:37:14]

Why would your stomach be hurting? Because when one say no. You got another. That's going to say yes.

[02:37:18]

No, I'm going to take it home. I don't.

[02:37:24]

Struck out for tonight.

[02:37:25]

That was one.

[02:37:26]

In baseball is three strikes.

[02:37:28]

No. I got one conversation. I got one day tonight in me.

[02:37:34]

Yeah, well, you better than me, boy. I'm just saying, back in my day, boy, I used to have about three.

[02:37:38]

Full dates one night. Yeah. Oh, hell no. Yeah.

[02:37:44]

That'S old me. That's old me.

[02:37:51]

I can't believe you asking that. What it looking like tonight?

[02:37:55]

Yeah, come on, man. It's the problem.

[02:38:00]

We start.

[02:38:03]

It's so fake, though. Like, you go on a date, you ask all these questions, you ask all this stuff you really don't care about, and you go through the motion.

[02:38:12]

Just get.

[02:38:15]

Skip the bullshit. I'm speaking as older. Think about even the women, the women.

[02:38:21]

That are in the chat. Think about all the times you went.

[02:38:24]

Through what I call the motions, doing everything the right way. The dates, the wine and dine, the blah blah. And he reaches the end goal and.

[02:38:32]

Then boom, he's gone. He's gone.

[02:38:36]

You can't ask a woman on the.

[02:38:39]

You can ask whatever you want, depending.

[02:38:41]

On who you are.

[02:38:42]

Some people don't have a choice. Sometimes you have to go through that.

[02:38:46]

It ain't in me. I can't ask if you barbecue in a meal doing on the first night.

[02:38:50]

Well, that's not you. I asked, and you see where we.

[02:38:54]

At now, four years later, the chat.

[02:38:57]

Calling you Mr. O.

[02:38:59]

Nasty.

[02:39:00]

Not Mr. Nasty.

[02:39:01]

Not Mr. O nasty, man.

[02:39:04]

Listen, man, I carry myself in a.

[02:39:06]

Very classy way because it wasn't until.

[02:39:12]

This show has opened me up to.

[02:39:16]

Let this all out.

[02:39:19]

Yeah. Oh, man. Kwano asks, what's up, Uncle Nocho? Do you guys have any advice for high school seniors looking to play at.

[02:39:29]

The next level, but not having much luck getting mean? Fuck that offer, baby. Go where they want you. Yeah, go where they want you.

[02:39:40]

If you're getting some offers, what's wrong with the offers that you're getting?

[02:39:45]

Look, the reality is, ocho, when you.

[02:39:50]

Grow in, look, I might want to.

[02:39:52]

Date old girl over here, right?

[02:39:55]

But she ain't interested. So what am I supposed to do? Go chase after somebody that's not interested?

[02:40:01]

No.

[02:40:01]

Go date the woman that likes you, not the woman that you like. So go to the school that wants you, not the one you want to go to, right?

[02:40:13]

Works every time. Every time.

[02:40:16]

What else?

[02:40:17]

Work every time.

[02:40:19]

I can't believe you don't. Ocho, boy.

[02:40:21]

Ocho, you don't sit me for what? You.

[02:40:25]

But listen, I'll tell you every time, and I'm going to keep on telling you, man, you ain't living. You alive, but you ain't living.

[02:40:32]

There's a difference.

[02:40:35]

You alive. You're doing great things in life.

[02:40:38]

I can't take that from you.

[02:40:40]

You alive, Unc, but you ain't living. There's a difference.

[02:40:43]

There's a difference.

[02:40:44]

And I'm going to get you to cross that bridge soon.

[02:40:47]

I ain't got you there yet, but you trying to put whipped cream and honey on the fur. Off the muscle, man.

[02:40:53]

Off the muscle. Listen, tomorrow ain't promised.

[02:41:00]

What you waiting for?

[02:41:02]

Tomorrow is not promised.

[02:41:04]

What do you already know it for? I mean, if I eat booty on the first night, if something happened to me, God ain't going to let me in the kingdom. You come here before me.

[02:41:14]

Don't worry about it, because God damn.

[02:41:16]

You know what they were doing back then?

[02:41:18]

They weren't doing all this. I don't know who started.

[02:41:22]

Listen, there's only one person that conceived without anything happening, and that was motherfucking Mary.

[02:41:28]

Now, everybody else, the birds and the.

[02:41:31]

Bees, they done took this thing to.

[02:41:35]

A whole new level.

[02:41:36]

It ain't no level.

[02:41:38]

Ain't no level.

[02:41:39]

Listen what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about. Not really what I'm talking about.

[02:41:46]

And just like technology, technology has evolved.

[02:41:51]

Year in and year out and gotten better with time. You got to do the same thing.

[02:41:56]

You still stuck in the goddamn 50s.

[02:42:00]

You Fred Safford in the bed.

[02:42:03]

Anybody know what these are?

[02:42:04]

What the hell is that?

[02:42:08]

Jordans.

[02:42:09]

I want the people in the chat. You know what? I'm going to start wearing.

[02:42:12]

It looked like somebody drew on them.

[02:42:17]

I used to wear shoes.

[02:42:18]

I mean, I got a nice collection.

[02:42:20]

But what happened is I don't really go anywhere.

[02:42:23]

So I guess now each night I'm.

[02:42:25]

Going to have to bring out a.

[02:42:26]

Pair of my shoes and see if the chat know what these are.

[02:42:31]

You got joins but can't hoop.

[02:42:33]

That's counterproductive.

[02:42:36]

All I know is that I average.

[02:42:38]

30 as a high school senior. What did you average as a high school senior? Yeah.

[02:42:43]

You averaged 30 as a high school senior. I'm beating NBA players in one on one. There's a difference.

[02:42:49]

There's levels to this.

[02:42:51]

It's a difference.

[02:42:54]

I stopped playing basketball. I ain't played Ocho, honestly, I have not played the game of basketball, seriously since 1991.

[02:43:02]

This is what you fail to realize. I don't even play basketball. I don't even watch the game of basketball. I can't even talk it. But I can beat the best at it because I can play the game.

[02:43:13]

Oh, Joe, I'm not good.

[02:43:16]

I ain't listen to who.

[02:43:20]

That ain't no accident. That ain't no accident.

[02:43:24]

That is accident. Look like a mosquito stung you like.

[02:43:29]

A big old bump. You know what? That might be a Dr. Peel. Pop up.

[02:43:32]

Pop that thing for you. Oh, shit. Oh, lord. Ocho, we. Look, we had 241.

[02:43:48]

Ocho. We can't be going this long. Ocho. Why you.

[02:43:50]

Wait, we've been on here. What?

[02:43:52]

We've been on here 2 hours and 40 minutes.

[02:43:53]

Yes. How the hell it feel? Like we just started.

[02:43:58]

We know we just started.

[02:43:59]

Wait, I'm curious.

[02:44:00]

You know what?

[02:44:01]

I don't even know.

[02:44:02]

Listen, I'm on the show, and I don't even know the goddamn show format.

[02:44:05]

How long are we supposed to do?

[02:44:09]

Originally, we were supposed to do 60 to 75 minutes.

[02:44:13]

Okay, 60 minutes. So we're supposed to do an hour.

[02:44:17]

Actually, Ash, just inform me. The original version was supposed to be 25 minutes.

[02:44:24]

I could hold a conversation for 25 minutes.

[02:44:26]

We can't do.

[02:44:27]

That.

[02:44:27]

Ain't going to work. I talk too damn much for 25 minutes.

[02:44:30]

Clearly, we can't do 25 minutes. Clearly.

[02:44:33]

No, that's a parent.

[02:44:34]

It doesn't look like we could do an hour either.

[02:44:38]

Hour ain't enough time.

[02:44:41]

It's too much stuff to talk about. There's something wrong with you, though.

[02:44:45]

Och, we might as well go to.

[02:44:48]

I need the chat to pray for you.

[02:44:50]

For what? All that.

[02:44:53]

Everything I talked about, the chat probably already doing and the ones in the one day people going to act like they not.

[02:45:01]

I thought I was doing something with the wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow?

[02:45:07]

Yeah, I got the hips right.

[02:45:17]

Oh, hell no.

[02:45:20]

But I don't know, ocho. You go into a whole new level, ocho.

[02:45:26]

I see that.

[02:45:26]

Why you. You got him going. Chat. The chat.

[02:45:33]

Praying for you, ocho.

[02:45:34]

They say you tried to be a bad influence on Unc.

[02:45:39]

He is. He tried to. Leon. Leon Edwards beat Kobe Covington. Yes. We should take up a collection. I'm going to send Leon Edwards.

[02:45:54]

We're going to find Leon Edwards information. I'm going to send him five grand.

[02:46:00]

I'm going to send him five grand personally. Who? Leon Edwards? Yes.

[02:46:11]

I don't think he knocked him out, but just the. That he whipped his ass because all. Kobe Covington, he tries to get around. Oh, LeBron James is this, bro. LeBron James is an NBA player. You should worry about whipping MMA fighters.

[02:46:31]

Ass.

[02:46:31]

Beat Kubara Usman, beat Leon Edwards. Those are the guys you should beat. What I look like to my.

[02:46:37]

Oh, yeah.

[02:46:38]

Messy. I beat your ass. Ralph of the send. I'm gonna send Leon Edwards five grand personally for my account for whipping your ass.

[02:46:53]

Kobe Covington. I love it.

[02:46:59]

Beat him.

[02:47:01]

Beat him. Now. Take that. What else you got, ocho? You got any more suggestions for me to get you?

[02:47:12]

Some whipped cream. You got whipped cream in the house?

[02:47:14]

No, baby, I'm diabetic. We got whipped cream left.

[02:47:24]

Hey, ocho, they say you should start your own brand of whipped cream.

[02:47:29]

No.

[02:47:35]

That why see bad joker on the first night. I see why you can't shake them. You doing all this on the first night?

[02:47:41]

Well, you got to understand, the first night. I'm telling you what happened.

[02:47:46]

All this is the result of what's happening here.

[02:47:50]

This foundation.

[02:47:52]

Look here. I ain't got no problem.

[02:47:54]

Look here. Okay, I get it.

[02:47:57]

No, you don't.

[02:47:58]

No, you don't.

[02:47:59]

I get Ocho, but I'm just saying, ocho, that's like on the first date, you taking a female out, and you got a $1,000 meal.

[02:48:07]

Can we build up to it? If you want to Bill, you can get some legos.

[02:48:17]

I didn't say it. Ojo.

[02:48:19]

If you want to Bill, you can get you some legos.

[02:48:23]

When you know, you know that one there? When you know, you know. When I know? I know.

[02:48:33]

Yeah.

[02:48:34]

You know, if you don't know, I'm.

[02:48:38]

Going to find one for you, and.

[02:48:39]

You going to know.

[02:48:45]

We've been on this thing 3 hours.

[02:48:47]

I don't know to tell yo, cho. I just wish you. I'm praying for you. Me and the chat, we praying for you.

[02:48:52]

Yeah, listen.

[02:48:58]

I'm praying for the chat.

[02:49:00]

What do both people say? I guess we all standing in the need of prayer. We all standing in the need of prayer.

[02:49:05]

All of us need prayer, man. Yeah, that would never go without.

[02:49:09]

We all need prayer. Always. Without the shadow of a doubt. You pray after you have sex? Who you. Damn. You know what? No, I do.

[02:49:32]

Who are you praying to?

[02:49:35]

Give me.

[02:49:36]

I know I were wrong.

[02:49:38]

Right?

[02:49:39]

I know I were wrong.

[02:49:40]

Wait, hold on, hold on. You praying after sex, but you don't do nothing too crazy, so you ain't did none wrong.

[02:49:53]

We're going to need you to evolve and backslide a little bit. Then you got to ask for forgiveness.

[02:49:58]

No, it's a builder, ocho.

[02:50:00]

Okay, baby, you're 55. How long are you going to keep building?

[02:50:08]

Let me ask you a question.

[02:50:10]

Were you a first team all pro your rookie year?

[02:50:13]

You had to learn the rope, had to learn how to run the routes, had to learn how to get open, had to learn how to drop your hips, get in and out of brakes. You build that up on choke.

[02:50:22]

Come on, now. Come on, now. Come on, now. But the clock is ticking now.

[02:50:36]

55. You make it seem like I'm 75 80.

[02:50:39]

75, 80.

[02:50:42]

You should be. What? I ain't going to quit till it quit. I got you. You write by that. I'm healthy. I eat my fruits and vegetables.

[02:50:59]

I just want to make sure. Do you have that plus one yet?

[02:51:03]

Oh, Joe, I will be straight. I'm going to be straight. Bahamas. When is this? I told you when it is.

[02:51:15]

Are we going to do a nightcap?

[02:51:19]

We could do nightcap from the wedding, baby. We could do nightcap from the wedding. She said. Yeah, nightcap from the wedding.

[02:51:28]

So it gives the people that aren't able to come to the wedding an.

[02:51:31]

Opportunity to see our. Yeah, we have, like, 100,000 in the chat.

[02:51:40]

Oh, easy. I'm going to be in my suit and she going to change, like, three or four times.

[02:51:49]

I'm styling her dress. You did it.

[02:51:52]

I am one of her looks.

[02:51:53]

What's your color?

[02:51:58]

She got the color. I don't know the color combination off the top of my head, but I'm doing one of her dresses, one of her looks. I ain't even know it was that. Women are supposed to change two or three times. You don't have to, but they do do that. Yeah.

[02:52:11]

You got your actual bridal ground. You got the reception, right?

[02:52:14]

And then they change again.

[02:52:16]

So I'm doing her third look. I'm doing a third look. So I'm excited. I'm excited for you.

[02:52:23]

Yeah, that may be opportunity over there. You know, I let my hair down. You know what I'm saying? There you go. You know what I'm saying? They got whipped cream in the bahamas. I've been saving it. I've been saving this old tongue for a rainy day.

[02:52:40]

Ojo.

[02:52:55]

You know? I've been saving.

[02:52:56]

Ojo. Hold on. Hold on. I'm plugging my computer back in. You got to die. Hey, listen, man. Boy.

[02:53:10]

If this ain't the greatest goddamn.

[02:53:12]

Show, if this ain't the greatest goddamn show, boy, my stomach is hurting from laughing.

[02:53:25]

Listen, we could have fun, but then we could be serious, too.

[02:53:28]

Yeah, because there's something wrong with you, ocho. There's something wrong with you.

[02:53:33]

Oh, ain't nothing wrong with me.

[02:53:35]

Baby, ain't nothing wrong with me.

[02:53:36]

Listen, I've adapted. You said that earlier on a topic we were talking about earlier about adapting. Adapting to the Times. You're not adapting and evolving with the times. You still using the big ass? Remember the big Motorola 1800 cell phone? That's what you're still using.

[02:53:56]

So what should I be using? What should I be using?

[02:54:01]

Maybe the new Android or some shit, or the new iPhone. But everything, all your life has to evolve and adapt with the times, but.

[02:54:09]

You stuck way back in goddamn shit.

[02:54:12]

Well, you stuck when the goddamn Manhattans first came out.

[02:54:19]

Now, ojo, you know your boy. I'm slow and steady.

[02:54:23]

Yeah, we're going to get you right, though. Now, you slow and steady, but you worse than slow and steady, because at 55 and you frowning upon just a little.

[02:54:34]

You got me? Come on, ocho.

[02:54:35]

Damn.

[02:54:36]

All right, we're going to stay off that.

[02:54:38]

We're going to stay off that. Okay? I ain't in the far right lane, but I'm next to the right lane.

[02:54:45]

Which is the slow lane.

[02:54:46]

You're trying to get me to go into Hov.

[02:54:49]

You should have been in Hov years ago. You ain't even in Hov. You parked over. You parked on the meridian. You parked on the meridian with your goddamn flashes on, trying to get over, but the traffic just passing by you.

[02:55:02]

You scared to come out? I ain't scared, ocho.

[02:55:05]

You scared to come out?

[02:55:06]

It's okay. We going to get you there.

[02:55:09]

And yes, they do sell whipped cream in the Bahamas, so you're going to be ready. We're going to get you right, baby.

[02:55:18]

2025. No foe. 2025. No, 2025. Yeah.

[02:55:24]

So it's already said February.

[02:55:29]

February. Wait, February. February 22. So what's going on the 24th? What's going on the 24th?

[02:55:44]

No, we're getting.

[02:55:45]

February 22, 2025.

[02:55:50]

Yeah.

[02:55:52]

Perfect timing.
