[00:04:20]

So thank you. I have a bottle right here. I'm going to have me a little. Have a little nightcap. You know what I'm saying? A little nightcap, Ocho, and I'm going to be sleeping like a baby, crying and pooping all night long.

[00:04:33]

Hold on. You're going to be sleeping like a.

[00:04:34]

Baby this old right here.

[00:04:38]

Oh, no, we ain't sleeping tonight. Well, we're going to be in here for 3 hours right here.

[00:04:43]

You know, something to hold your boy over.

[00:04:45]

Let me see.

[00:04:48]

You know, your boy.

[00:04:49]

Okay, hold on, hold on. You know, I don't know nothing about no alcohol now. So you supposed to drink. Take it to the head.

[00:04:56]

This is a Kanye, some of the best BSOP kanye it on the market. We won the sip award. Okay, if you don't know, the sip award is for the best tasting cognac. In 2022. We beat all the big brands, so we got some good stuff. Actually, we're going to come out. I probably shouldn't be saying this, but we are going to come out with an xo and an XXo in the very near future. But right now, this is our BSOP, which is top of the line. Yes.

[00:05:24]

Hey, man, listen, God got favor now because you just win the old joke. Listen, you winning some everything. We're going to talk about that a little later in the show. But I don't know about no cognac. I don't know about alcohol, period. But the fact that. Okay, you know what I should do? I should try next time you in LA.

[00:05:51]

I'm not going to a game, so hopefully we can go to a game next time you're in LA, right?

[00:05:57]

Yeah. We gonna go to a game and say corsat. Oh, boy. I ain't sat course at a liquor game about 22 years now.

[00:06:09]

February of 19. Never. No, I'm saying you've never set courtside of the liquor game, period, let alone no.

[00:06:21]

Remember I told you I sat course side next to Denzel. I took my son. My son was maybe about eight years. Lie.

[00:06:28]

No lie.

[00:06:28]

No lie. I know I play around a lot, but I sat coursed with Denzel. And matter of fact. Oh, you know what? This is when it was because Denzel got on me when I was disgruntled with the Bengals organization, and I was trying to wiggle my way up out of there, and it ain't working. He got on my ass about that bullshit. Like, he got on my ass.

[00:06:52]

I never forget you guys again for joining us. Make sure you click that, like, button. Make sure you hit the subscribe button. We're at 435,000 subscribers, and we could not have done it without you, ocho. Let's jump right into 435. Let's get it. The Titans beat the Dolphins. They were down by 14 points with three minutes to go. And if I'm not mistaken, teams down by 14 points with three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, had lost 767 consecutive games until tonight. The Dolphins lose 28 27. Tua played terrible the last two drives. That's on him, ocho. That's on him. He played bad. He played bad. It's 33, and he throws a swing pass seven yards behind the line of scrimmage. Bro, you push the ball down the field, you get the first down. Why would you throw a six yard route behind the line? So the guy can try to get three yards? He's down nine yards, ocho.

[00:07:53]

Yeah, we've seen that swing pass. That same pass behind the line of scrimmage, sometimes hit and sometimes go that situation.

[00:08:02]

If you're in the first, you got to think about it now, right? You're in a two minute situation. In actuality, you're in a 1 minute situation. Time is not on your side because guess what? You get tackled in and now all of a sudden. So there is no benefit in that situation when you're throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage. But give the Tennessee Titans credit, though. Give them credit ahead. Go ahead.

[00:08:28]

Definitely. Yeah, we will give the Titans credit, but this is one of the reasons. Small example on why a player by the name of Tyreek Hill belongs in the MVP conversation. Tyree kill goes out, they do nothing, and the entire offense completely changes. Yes, and it's different. It's different. The dynamic of the excitement and the energy and the, oh, my God, what's going to happen next? Or the holding your breath every time they snap the ball because you never know. What's going to happen is out the window. It's out the window. That alone today, tonight showed you how special Tyreek is to that offense and just the NFL in general on what he brings to the table when he's playing.

[00:09:19]

What tonight showed me, ocho, is when a team gets physical with the Dolphins, they bow down.

[00:09:25]

Right?

[00:09:25]

And we know one thing about the Tennessee Titans and bravel there are a physical football.

[00:09:31]

They're going to play physical.

[00:09:32]

Now, they might not win some games, but you're going to know you've been in the fight. Now, you might win the fight, but you don't want to fight him again. You've been in a situation like, oh, yeah, I got it, but damn, I don't want to fight him no more. That's what you get when you play the Tennessee Titans. He's an old school coach. I played against bravel and although he wasn't the most athletic, you knew you had a fight on your hand. He was an old school linebacker. He was tough at the point of attack. He could set the edge. He understood his responsibility be and if he was supposed to be to the flat, he was in the flat. If he's supposed to be hooked, he's going to be in the hook. If he's supposed to carry you up the scene, he's going to carry you up the scene. And if he's supposed to sit the edge, you're not going to hook him.

[00:10:14]

Yeah, every time.

[00:10:17]

He was as fundamentally sound as any backer that I've ever faced. And his teams, they don't normally beat themselves. That's that coach Belichick, and be like, look, we can't beat ourselves. Yes, it's hard enough to win football games. It's a lot harder when you beat yourself. So give them guys credit. Will Levis, 23 or 38? 327. One touchdown, one interception. Can you imagine what Deandre Hopkins could have done for the Kansas City Chiefs? Can you imagine him?

[00:10:47]

Man? Listen, did you is it too late? Obviously it's too late. We can't even go on the Chiefs right now because I'm still kind of.

[00:11:06]

Hurt about the, once you look at it, you see just how far offside kadarius Tony was you.

[00:11:15]

Yeah, we'll get on that.

[00:11:16]

Because when you watch this game.

[00:11:21]

And.

[00:11:22]

You look at the Dolphins and what we've said, we've said, ocho, we want to see them step up against competition, because anytime they played anybody that was on their level of above, they've lost. Now we see them playing a team in the Tennessee Titans, who's fighting, trying to gain some traction and get into the playoffs, and they come to their home and down 14 with three minutes to go and beat the Dolphins.

[00:11:47]

Yeah. Again. And there are so many different ways. There's so many different things that people can say. They can dissect the game. They can be critical, they can be analytical of the game and say, well, you're up by 14. You're supposed to win a game. My whole thing, as I'm going to say, is the fact that Tyree kill was not playing and the offense sputtered, the offense struggled. They didn't move the ball as efficient up and down the field as I think they should. And the big plays that they're normally used to having.

[00:12:15]

Yes.

[00:12:16]

They weren't there. They weren't there. I'm counting Tyreek, maybe two or three goddamn touchdowns. I've seen him walking with McDonald's in his hand. I say, you know what? You might as well strike up the van. You might as well strike up the van because he going for about 250 or something like that. And when I saw the ankle roll, ocho.

[00:12:32]

But think about this. To a fumbled ball at the three yard line going in.

[00:12:41]

But that's not his fault, though. Somebody missed a goddamn assignment. That dude came through. Somebody missed an assignment. That was a three step drop. He couldn't even throw.

[00:12:51]

The one thing that we're taught is that don't exacerbate a bad situation. If somebody missed their block, hold on to the ball.

[00:12:58]

Yeah.

[00:12:58]

The last thing you want to do is that because someone whipped their block, now all of a sudden you turn it over. Because at worst case scenario, we believe we take at least three points off the board. And, you know, points are in the league, especially this time of year. And so that's the one thing. But he's always been loose with the ball. Even when guys don't come clean, he's always loose with the ball. His hands, I don't think his hands are ginormous, but I think he has a problem holding onto the football when he comes in contact with the defender.

[00:13:37]

Yeah, he was getting ready to throw the ball. He was getting ready to throw it and he kind of pulled it back just a tad bit and it was still right here at the chest plate. And dude came in the time, it was too late and he couldn't even put it up. He didn't even have a chance to.

[00:13:54]

Zachary Nunn donated $10 to say unk today. You said two of Lamar Jackson for quarterback play. I think it's safe to say Lamar is the best quarterback in the AFC. It's a fluid situation. And what you do, that's one thing about sports. You have to update your we now, if Tua comes back and throws for I don't know who they play next week. I think Buffalo plays the Cowboys. They got the jet. So if Tua comes back and throw four touchdowns, Lamar throws one touchdown, are we going to go flip flop? We can't do that. It's a fluid situation based on what we have. But you have to understand now, if you'd have asked me that today, of course I'd have took Lamar like you're doing because I noticed you didn't tweet me this today. You ain't text us today. You got my handle. You never said anything until after the fact. See, you got the great, you got the magnificent science of hindsight, which is a magnificent science because, you know, based on what has already been discussed.

[00:14:57]

It'S.

[00:14:57]

Easy to say what you could have done knowing the outcome already. Okay, ocho, you know how your career played. You say, man, if I'd have done this, done that, done this, man, ain't no telling how many yards I could have had.

[00:15:10]

Well, right, yeah.

[00:15:11]

It's either to do that now. So we appreciate you watching. That's all I care about. Zachary, appreciate you commenting, appreciate you watching the show. We appreciate that. Entering today, Tua had 24 touchdowns, 14 total turnovers. CJ Stroud had 20 touchdowns passing touchdowns, nine turnovers. Lamar Jackson had 16 touchdowns, twelve total turnovers. So coming into tonight, he was eight touchdowns and two turnovers. He had eight more passing touchdowns and two more turnovers. So I don't think it's far fetched to say that Tua had played into a standstill if not played a little better. Now, I'm not saying that the Dolphins are better than the Ravens. That was a whole different conversation. But again, Zachary, appreciate you watching Tommy DeVito, Giants defeat Giants beat the Packers 24 22. DeVito and the Giants have won three straight games. Undrafted rookie free agent Tommy DeVito marched the Giants down the field, got them in position to kick the game winning field goal. He completed Ocho four straight passes for 53 yards, including a 32 yard touchdown, a 32 yard pass down the right sideline to Wandale Robinson. The Packers lost Monday night snaps Green Bay 16 game win streak in December game the packers hadn't lost a December game since week 17, 2018, the final game before Matt LaFleur was hired as head coach.

[00:16:41]

What did you like or what didn't you like about what you saw? Let's go with the Giants. What did you like about what you saw from the Giants besides them winning the game? That's always a positive, but what did you like about the Giants?

[00:16:52]

Right. I think Tommy DeVito. Tommy DeVito coming in clutch. Tommy DeVito coming in clutch. When it mattered most, obviously numbers weren't staggering throughout the game. He was only 17 for 21 for 158. But when it mattered most, what did he do? He willed them to a win. And obviously we know in Green Bay head coach, listen, December, he's missing December. They don't lose. So obviously, if you're a gambler, man, if you're a man, who you betting on to win the game. Now, I'm sure everybody named mama had the Green Bay. They had the Green Bay packers. And Jordan love to go in there and win because of the Giants. The Giants aren't playing well. They haven't really played well all year. But Tommy DeVito has been decent. He's been somewhat efficient in trying to will them to win, and that's what.

[00:17:36]

He was able to do tonight. I don't think it's a stretch, but if you look at these last three games, it's hard for me to say that Tommy DeVito hadn't played better than Daniel Jones played at any .3 games this year. And I'm not saying he's the future. I'm not saying he's the answer. But if you look at any three game stretch that Jones played this year and you look at Danny DeVito, yes, sir. Tommy DeVito over the last three games, it's hard, ocho. It's hard to say he hasn't played better than.

[00:18:12]

That'S tough. That's tough right there. And I think even with Tommy DeVito playing somewhat well and playing somewhat decent.

[00:18:17]

Obviously getting the win, that's the same offensive line. Would it be the same offensive line that when he said Daniel Jones didn't have time to throw, those are the same receivers that Daniel Jones was throwing to that Tommy Devito somehow is finding a way to get them to football.

[00:18:34]

Yes, I have a question. Are you saying that they should?

[00:18:37]

I don't think Dave Jones is coming back this year for me, even if.

[00:18:42]

He like an actual switch.

[00:18:46]

So you talk about next year. Well, I think you put the job. Put the job up. You saw what Kyle Shanahan did. What did Kyle Shanahan do with Brock Purdy? One guy was the third. They moved heaven and earth to get him. Third pick in the draft. The other guy was a 7th rounder, Mr. Irrelevant. Okay. He said, guess what?

[00:19:08]

Well, can you still do that? Because the situation is kind of different. You just paid Daniel Jones, I think, for your 90 million or something like that. Can you still do that when you factor in the money? The money part basically tells you, no, he doesn't. Daniel Jones has no, he doesn't have.

[00:19:20]

To be the starter. This is a pay for play business. Because think about what the 49 ers, mortgage debt. Think about it. They didn't get the compensation back for what they gave up to get him. I mean, you gave up, what, three ones, a two. How do you get that? I think they got, what, a fifth or 6th from the Cowboys? I think they got a fifth or 6th round pick for coach. That's one thing about this business. It used to be like that. The high dollar guys had to play.

[00:19:59]

Yeah.

[00:20:00]

No more. No, you're always going to play.

[00:20:02]

Yeah.

[00:20:03]

They got a fourth rounder when they gave up three ones to get him. Right? Think about it. They gave up three ones. They got a fourth in return and some other compensation. But here's the thing. I move on from him. Tommy DeVito is on a rookie contract. Do you know the pieces that you can put around him and see, you remember when I told you about, we were talking about the Chicago and Justin Fields, I said, but here's why.

[00:20:32]

Right?

[00:20:32]

Because if you keep Justin Fields, you're going to have to pay him somewhere between 250 and 300 million because he's going to be in his fourth year of the contract.

[00:20:45]

He's going to be in the fourth year of his contract. But is Justin Fields in a position to be able to set the market.

[00:20:51]

Again and reset the market? That's just the going rate. That's just the going rate for a.

[00:21:01]

Going rate. The top three, top four, top five quarterbacks, the market like that, the going rate, you have to fall in line based on production.

[00:21:10]

They don't just pay you because that's. Daniel Jones got his money he got 40 million. You think Justin Field is going to take less than 40 million? Yeah, you got real quiet. He ain't taking less than 40 because guess what, ocho? I signed my deal after he signed his. Inflation, which means the prices goes up, right?

[00:21:36]

Yeah, but you have to understand, even with inflation, that there's only so much you can ask for. Because the first thing they're going to point to is they're going to point to your stats, they're going to point to your numbers. Well, listen, we can't send you too high regardless of what inflation is because we're going to look at your resume, we're going to look at your production and what you've done for us. Now, you really don't warrant what you're asking for. I don't give a fuck what inflation say. I'm just telling you from the business side of stuff.

[00:21:57]

That's why.

[00:21:58]

Look at it.

[00:21:59]

Going to the rookie. Because I believe you can build around a guy that's on a rookie contract and that's playing well other pieces around him. Now, I got DJ Moore, I got Cole Comet. Now I can go back because I'm going to have my pick and I'm going to get Carolinas, which is the number one overall pick. So guess what? Hey, I package move my pick. Hey, I come back up and get next year's pick. I go get Marvin Harrison, Jr. I'll pair him with DJ Moore, I'll pair him with Cole Comet. And now all of a sudden, I've got weapons.

[00:22:37]

Plus, that's nasty.

[00:22:38]

Yeah, and plus, based on the situation, I think the Giants could use a quarterback. I think the Raiders can use a quarterback. The Patriots could use a quarterback. The Steelers could use a quarterback. There are teams you can like somebody as a person, but as a quarterback, ain't nobody in their right mind taking kitty Pickett over Justin Fields.

[00:23:31]

I know what they need to do. I know they need to do. But I don't mean to be off topic. Talk about another team and another quarterback as far as the Steelers go, but they need to goddamn get. George Pickett's the motherfucking ball. I'm sorry for cursing, I'm sorry for cursing, but that's the only way I'm going to get my point across. And understanding the talent. The talent that he is and what I know he can do, especially coming out, they ain't using that young fellow. That the right boy. He can change the game at some.

[00:23:58]

Point in time, even though you might not get used the right way. And I understand the frustration level, the way he and Johnson, as Mike Tomlin likes to use, that's not solution based, because that type of behavior is not solving the problems it's creating and exacerbating more of a problem. Tell me.

[00:24:22]

I ain't even going to argue the fact. I just understand when it cures all.

[00:24:26]

So how does tell me.

[00:24:27]

Players at the receiver position that are extremely, extremely good and can change the game. Those are the type of players that can make.

[00:24:39]

Ocho froze. I think something happened to his wifi. Amoco. Pay your cable bill. Did you not put your credit card on file for incidental? Damn, I think he used the cheapest Internet service. Man paid $20 to get the upgrade. Ocho. Right now, as you can see, Ocho is having a little technical difficulties with his wifi. But I think Ocho, what he's trying to say is that Deontay Johnson and George Pickens, they're frustrated they're not getting the football, but they're the type of guys that can, given the football, he believes they can solve a lot of the ills and the issues that's going on with the Steelers offense. They can. But I don't understand how moping and pouting, I don't understand how that helps the problem. That's my only thing. I just believe there's a right way and a wrong way to handle everything, having played the game, and I get it, everybody handle situation in crises, or I wouldn't even consider this a crises, but everybody handles situations different. And the way I handle situations might not be the way ocho handles situations, might not be the way a receiver, or b receiver, or c receiver at someplace else, how they handle that situation.

[00:25:59]

But my thing was always try to remain positive. Make sure that. Try to lead by example, understanding that, hey, yeah, I want to catch the football. And I do believe that, you know, given the opportunity, I can make plays, but it doesn't always work out like that. So we'll see what happens with the Steelers. But right now, they got bigger issues than wide receivers. Their quarterback play has been abysmal. Kenny Pickett, I do not believe is the answer. Like I said, I believe the Steeler fans are ready to pick it. Him playing and Trubisky is not much better. And the mere fact that someone thought that Mitchell Trubisky was better than Deshaun Watson when they played in the same conference, and Deshaun Watson went to back to back national championship games and won the final in a walk up play. Do you see Patrick Mahomes? I understand the Chiefs. Now, that was a big risk for the Chiefs, moving up from 27 to ten to take Patrick Mahomes. But Andy saw something, says, you know what? With this guy, we can really expand this offense because they were really good with Alex Smith. They had Tyreek, had Travis Kelsey.

[00:27:03]

They had some players. But they said, you know what? We can be Kareem Hunt. We can even be better if we had a quarterback that's willing to push the ball down the. Know, I used to call Alex Smith, check down Alex. But when they got Patrick Mahomes, this offense went to another level. We got ocho back yet? Ocho, log off and log back on. See what's going on with Ocho. Well, until Ocho gets back, Deshaun Jackson is feeling disrespected by the Eagles. Djack, number ten, is currently being worn by a punter. Djack told Kay Adams. Man, you see that? That's disrespectful, low key. You got a punter wearing djack number. Oh, my gosh. Man. I guess I'm not as special as I thought I was. I don't necessarily believe it's that Djack, but did you want him to? There's only, I think, what? Ten jerseys that's retired. I think there's only ten jerseys. I mean, you're looking at Reggie White, you're looking at Tom Brokeshire. You're looking at Donovan McNabb. You're looking at rest his soul. Excuse me? Rest his soul, Reggie White. Also concrete Charlie. Chuck McNarick. Rest his soul. Jerome boogie Brown. We know what tragically happened.

[00:28:24]

He was well on his way. He was one of the premier defensive linemen when he tragically lost his life in a car accident. Van Buren. I think he still has the record for the most passive yards in a game, right? 554. I think that's the record. I mean, look, I get it. All of us that we played and we had success at a team, sometimes we overvalue ourselves. And sometimes I think we think we're more important than we actually are. But I do think Djack is worthy of being in the ring of fame, ring of honor. And I think that's going to happen. But, Djack, don't take it as a slight, because the year I left, they gave my number. What? They gave 84 away, too. I was a four time first team All Pro, seven Pro Bowls and a two time Super bowl champ, and they gave my number to a guy. So it happens. DJ, don't. Don't let that ruffle your feathers, bro. You are a great Eagles player. You long to be remembered an all Pro at two different positions. You are all pro at wide receiver and punt returner in the same season.

[00:29:34]

Not very many guys can say that. So you have a lot to be proud of for what you accomplished in Philly and so they're going to love you. And I promise you, every time they see the number ten they thinking Djack. Even though somebody is wearing that number, they're definitely thinking Deshaun Jackson back yet? Can we see what's going on? We reached out. Kyle Shanahan targeted DK Metcalf. Kyle Shanahan encouraged his players to try to set DK off and try to get him to lose his cool in Sunday's game. Shanahan even prepared a set of video clips for his team that showed DK losing his cool in previous games. Shanahan told his players, we will get 14 to lose his mind Christmas present for whomever gets it. Wow. And I think DK understands that he's going to have to do a better job of controlling his temper because that's the word on the street. You can get DK frustrated and get him to get unsportsman like conduct penalties and there's never a situation in which an unsportsman like conduct penalty helps your team. Actually, it hurts your team. And in that situation he got kicked out of the ball game and I understand he took a starting corner with him.

[00:30:51]

But I think DK is a bigger loss than Damador or Lenore and you have to understand that. You have to understand the risk reward. They're losing their 2nd 3rd corner, you're losing your number one receiver. But DK is definitely going to have to do a better job of controlling his temper. And I get the frustration and I get that he didn't know that Warner, Fred Warner had actually laddered the football. He's just trying to tackle it.

[00:31:25]

Is.

[00:34:18]

Okay, hotel, we're going to go backtrack. Yes, we got you. You got me?

[00:34:23]

Yeah. Ma'am, the Wifi here in the hotel doesn't cut off, man.

[00:34:27]

Yeah, I keep telling you. Go ahead and up there, look, you could upgrade Wifi in the hotel for $20. You keep trying to dig the introductory wifi.

[00:34:35]

No, not here. That's not where I'm at. That's not where I'm at. I'm standing like a little motel.

[00:34:44]

You could upgrade the wifi for additional $20 instead of the introductory wifi.

[00:34:53]

They don't have that to choose from on the menu. They don't have that to choose from on the menu. But I apologize to you. All that's watching. That's my bad.

[00:35:01]

I'm always loopholes and keep telling you, be as cheap to as you want to, but don't be cheap to yourself.

[00:35:10]

Well, I'm a boys. Be cheap to myself. That's why I need predicaments like this.

[00:35:15]

But you rob, you robbing our fans, that's ten minutes. Our fan didn't get to go back and forth between you and I. Right.

[00:35:24]

But you know what's going to happen. We don't get a no, we're not.

[00:35:26]

No minutes back. We're not going to do that. Yes, I do. Before you left. Oh, no, we got to go to the Andy Reed. Andy Reed said Cadarius Tony didn't check with the official, although it did look like he did look to his left and check with the official.

[00:35:48]

Yeah, but he did. He should have waited for the official to confirm. Actually, when Cadarius came out and appointed to the official, replay the clip, I saw the other angle. Right. But all Cadarius had to do was so damn fast, when he lined up, he should have looked back one more time. Actually, from the clip I saw as.

[00:36:11]

A receiver, you know that.

[00:36:16]

You can see you're covering the ball a little bit. So I think he would never. The problem, he won't have it again. Obviously, you don't make that type of mistake twice, even though it shouldn't happen because you own the ball. But it's very unfortunate for the Chiefs. And when I saw that angle, I'm like, oh, shit, he did so far over the ball.

[00:36:35]

But here's the thing. Normally when you're outside the numbers, you ask, he can say 85 back up. Jocelyn, you can hear you right now, but he was right.

[00:36:45]

Go ahead. Right. You don't think it's up to the ref to at least acknowledge or scream? No.

[00:36:53]

In that situation, you're not going to be able to hear because he's so tight to the formation and the refugee. That's the side judge. So he's on the sideline. But like they said, we can give you a warning.

[00:37:04]

Safe.

[00:37:04]

But ultimately it's your responsibility to line up on side. And plus, the thing is, if you notice he's looking down, he can see the it. And I think Andy Reid, once he saw how far he was over, he came back and changed his tune. Now, that's not to say the NFL didn't call him. Say, Andy, you da on this one, you da on this bit, but you're wrong because your guy was offside. But he says, andy says, I won't be giving up on Kaderius. Tony. He makes plays when he has the ball in his hand, and that's important. He's a young guy. He doesn't have a ton of experience, but I think he's getting better every week. How about some guys that came out? What about Jamar Chase? Have you ever heard his head coach say anything about he's a young guy and he doesn't have a ton of experience? You ever heard that? What about Devontae? Devontae Smith was in that draft. What about Jalen Waddle?

[00:38:09]

Yeah, well, everybody growth and everybody experience and the way they mature and play the game, everybody's different. Way they go about it.

[00:38:18]

Amar St. Brian, the way you go about it.

[00:38:20]

But I do know motherfucker that nice.

[00:38:23]

But this is what I want. Think about it now, he's a first round pick and the team that originally drafted him gave up on him after 22 games, ocho. They not giving up. You just said, make that money. They got to keep you a little longer. They not giving up on a first, Ocho. And you, Brian Dayball, name one player that you've ever heard something that could have getting along with Brian Dayball or had something negative to say about dayball. Right, right. At some point in.

[00:38:57]

Young bull. Nice. Now, young bull is gangster. He nasty with it, with the ball in his hands. I think the only thing stopping him right now is just a little bit of confidence because when he owns, can.

[00:39:06]

He keep the ball?

[00:39:06]

He's special with it. He's special with it. We just needed to be consistent. Once we get a consistent cadaris. Tony, man, shit. Hell. Watch out now. I'm just telling. See, listen, we see flashes of it and then we have moments like what we had last night, the offside. Sometimes we get the occasional drop here and there, but man, when that boy is on. Listen, I'm not going to take none from him.

[00:39:35]

I just know I saw a flash. I guess it was a fallen star or something. But I need something to shine bright all the time. O joke, right?

[00:39:45]

Listen, he trains and works for it to shine bright all the time. Sometimes it just don't happen like that for us. Sometimes it don't happen like that.

[00:39:55]

You know what? It's the same mistakes, ocho. What is it that he's missing? It's the same mistakes. He's consistently making the same mistakes.

[00:40:08]

That's it.

[00:40:09]

So he is consistent. It's just making mistakes.

[00:40:14]

Little structure of discipline goes a long way. He going to get it. He going to get right. Young fella. Young fella. Now, because, you know, when you was a young pup, you made mistakes, too.

[00:40:23]

Same one.

[00:40:23]

Don't do that. I remember when you was 25.

[00:40:27]

How could they be that old? Probably about 23. He probably came out early. That's it. Oh, man.

[00:40:37]

23, man. Well, you know what I was doing when I was 23?

[00:40:40]

Hopefully not making those kind of mistakes.

[00:40:44]

Yeah, same mistakes when I was 23 in Cincinnati. I never forget what else I missed.

[00:40:55]

You missed? Yeah. You got your tv on. You got your tv on. Your tv. Your tv.

[00:41:06]

My who? Yeah.

[00:41:07]

Can you turn it off?

[00:41:08]

Yeah. Why? How? You know. Yes. That's bad.

[00:41:15]

Can you please turn your tv off? I wouldn't be asking for my help.

[00:41:21]

Okay, hold on. Oh, you can see the reflection of.

[00:41:34]

It was.

[00:41:35]

It wasn't.

[00:41:38]

Good. We good now? A lot better. But I just think the thing is that, look, I understand, yes, they're going to be growing pains. But, ocho, if you keep making the same mistakes, either one or two things, either you having a problem learning, or you're saying effort, which is I need to get to the root of the problem. That's all I'm saying.

[00:41:57]

Right. The root of the problem? The root of the problem is doing it in practice and then just having it translate over into the game, because when you do it in practice, you're doing it to obviously have the results in game. Sometimes you make mistakes. Sometimes you drop. Sometimes, like we saw you line up in a very important moment and people see it. It's a bonehead play, something that we learn in PB football, how to line up, not cover up.

[00:42:28]

Let me ask you a question, ocho. Why did you practice?

[00:42:30]

Yes, sir. Yes.

[00:42:36]

Why did you guys practice?

[00:42:39]

To get better at my craft. To get better at my craft. And so I can go out there and execute the game plan.

[00:42:45]

On the way I looked at practice, I didn't practice, so I got it right. I practiced so I couldn't get it wrong.

[00:42:50]

Right.

[00:42:52]

There is a difference between the two.

[00:42:54]

That's a good one. Right.

[00:42:56]

And you have to be able, because at practice, ocho, you're never going to be able to simulate what's transpiring in the game. The 80,000 fans, the bumping, the officials. I mean, we have officials in training camp, but once the training camp is over with, we don't have officials that practice anymore, Ojo. So now I need to get myself in a right frame of mind, and I think the thing is, the thing that Mike, man, you make the same mistake twice with Mike, whatever.

[00:43:31]

Hell, to do something to you, because.

[00:43:33]

He'S going to ask you. Okay, so what did you do last night that got your mind focused that you can't focus on what you got going on, right?

[00:43:43]

Yeah. Yeah.

[00:43:47]

There's only one way to do it, Ocho. Grandfather used to say it all the time, get good or get gone. Now, what you want to do? You gonna get good or you want to get gone? Because we're gonna tolerate you till we can replace you. And that's with anything, any relationship, you know, sometimes.

[00:44:05]

That's right.

[00:44:06]

You let a female or let a guy talk to her any kind of way, a male will let a female talk to him any kind of way, and they'll tolerate said behavior, and then all of a sudden, they can find somebody to step in.

[00:44:19]

Boom. Yeah.

[00:44:20]

Well.

[00:44:20]

What? I'm good. Yeah. Hey, listen, everything is replaceable in life, whether in business, whether you're in sports, whether you're in relationships. And a lot of people feel that they're not replaceable, but the man upstairs will humble you real quick. Real quick.

[00:44:41]

Yes. You know this, especially after a certain period of time, they're looking for your replacement. They looking for it. Unless you're one of these elite players they looking for.

[00:44:58]

Yeah.

[00:44:59]

And then once you get to a certain age, you could be elite, and they still looking for your replacement.

[00:45:05]

Good for your replacement. Yeah.

[00:45:07]

That's business.

[00:45:08]

That's the nature.

[00:45:09]

Feeling disrespected by the Eagles. I talked about this earlier, but I wanted to get your take. Djack's number ten jersey is currently being worn by the punter Brandon Braden. Man, Brandon, man. Djack told Kay Adams, man, you see that? And that's disrespectful, low key. You got a punter wearing Djack's number. Oh, my gosh, man. I guess I'm not as special as I thought I was, man.

[00:45:32]

Yeah, man. DJ and what he did for the city of Philadelphia, man, during his time and his tenure there in Philadelphia was elite. He was a very dynamic player, one of the few players in the NFL during his time where when the ball is coming his way.

[00:45:49]

Yeah. He wanted to do.

[00:45:53]

And of all time, the real motherfucking holy field, he's the real deal. So I understand how he feels and why he feels that way. I'm kind of different, though. I don't really like the comparison because I think Djack, to me, is a much better player. So I understand where the bothersome comes from and allowing someone else to even wear the ten. But do the Philadelphia.

[00:46:23]

I think they got ten. Do they do that? They got Donovan McNabb, they got Reggie White, they got Steve Van Buren, they got Tom Brookshire. I know you don't remember Tom Brookshire, but CBS was the first crew to have. But him and summer, all those guys. So they used to have a lineup doing color. They got boogie Brook, Jerome Brown. You know what? He tragically lost his life in 92. A week or a couple of days before his birthday in a car accident. They got concrete. Charlie, rest his soul. Chuck McNaric, the last two way player. Reggie White, rest his soul, the minister of defense. But the way for me, I remember when I left Denver in 2000, I was seven consecutive Pro Bowls, four first team all pros, and two time Super bowl champ. And after I left, they gave my number to a wide receiver. But no matter who gets an 84, you go ask anybody in Denver, 84, they would tell about that. Sharp. That's Shannon. Sharp number. So I don't care who they put in that number. I don't care who they put in it.

[00:47:37]

Right?

[00:47:38]

Bronco country. Shannon and 84, I get Djack. Djack. And that's what I said earlier, ocho, is that no matter who they put in ten, djack is ten.

[00:47:54]

For them, it's synonymous with him. Yeah, same thing.

[00:48:02]

I mean, honestly, I do. Ocho.

[00:48:05]

You think you see ISiS Curtis? Yeah. Okay, that's fine. Ain't nothing wrong with that because he's the original 85. Okay, that's fine.

[00:48:14]

Like I said, remember, isaac?

[00:48:16]

Ain't nothing wrong with that. I did my homework. Before I got there, I did my homework. I know about. He was the real deal.

[00:48:24]

Let's see here. What else we got? Oh, check this out. Kyle Shanahan targeted DK. Cal encouraged his players to try to set DK off and try to get him to lose his cool in Sunday's game. Shanahan even prepared a set of video clips for his team that showed DK losing his cool in the previous games. Shanahan told his players, we'll get 14 to lose his mind. Christmas present for whomever gets him. Ocho, did you ever play against a guy or team that you knew you could exploit?

[00:48:55]

You know what? That's a great question. I like the way you said that. Obviously, Marvin Lewis didn't have any film or anything like that to show us. But what I did do is I played mental gymnastics. I did as much talking throughout the week. I did as much talking as I could in pregame to try to get in guys'heads. If I can get you to engage with me in any way, whether it be nice, whether it be mean, then I know I have you beat a little bit. That gives me a little edge. Physically, you might be better than me, but I need to beat you in the middle game. That's where I'm going to win. I'm a beach in the middle game. If I can get ahead just a little bit and throw you off a rigor just a tad bit, that means I got you. That's the way I went about it. As far as, I mean, you got to understand the defenses I had to play against. Uncle, man, the 2000 Ravens, some 2000 Steelers, man, even the Cleveland Browns. Back then, man, the boys was the real deal. So I needed them to be angry.

[00:49:50]

I needed you to be mad and trying to hurt me. That means you're not playing smart football. You trying to kill. You're trying to knock my head off. And that gives me an advantage and it gives me somewhat of an edge because you playing wild and free and reckless. As long as I'm technically sound, I'm going to be okay. Yeah. And that's the way I went.

[00:50:12]

I think the thing is that DK has a history of getting unsportsman like conduct. And so until he gets that under control, guys are going to try to bait him because normally it's a situation, okay, he got thrown out of the game, dummador. Lenore got thrown out. That's not equal value. And plus he has to understand Lenore is like, man, even though we're already down Ward, man, we get DK out of here. Oh, we good. We Gucci.

[00:50:43]

Yeah, back up.

[00:50:46]

And that was the thing, ocho. See, for me it's easy because guys want to shut me down to say I've got to pick off Shannon Sharp or I didn't let him catch a pass. So the guy carried me up the scene. You ain't getting nothing, sharp, I said, but you got the flat. You see, TD running. You worried about what I got? I ain't supposed to.

[00:51:06]

I'm clear.

[00:51:08]

Oh, give him a nod. I give him a move to the post. You got the corner. Why are you biting the move when you got the safety? You in cover one. The safety going to knock my head off. You undercut the route. I'm going back to the see, because you so caught up in trying to shut me down.

[00:51:30]

Anxious.

[00:51:31]

Now, you're getting out of your responsibility. But we play certain teams that we already know. We go into the game we're going to get an unsportsful like conduct against Kansas City. We're going to get the Raiders. Oh, we already knew. We already know it's going to happen. Shut up. You suck, too. He suck. You suck. All y'all suck, man. Shut up, Sean. You talk too much. Well, do something about it. You ain't going to do nothing. All y'all going to do is talk. You all talk. Watch this right here. Oh, man. Yeah, I ain't need to score.

[00:52:03]

I love that.

[00:52:05]

Because now, because I'm all tired, because normally I had to run away. I want TD, I want Rod to score. So now I got all the oxygen in my lungs. So now I'm just talking to hope, right? I'm in your ear. Told you. You all suck doing all that talking. You talking like you like you not. Now see me, you lucky he got now see you. Keep talking to me, you're going to find your name on the waiver. Why come Monday now keep talking. Keep talking. Now watch what I do to you.

[00:52:41]

You talk a different type of trash. Mine was more of a, it's hard to explain. It was more of an entertaining, I'm a jig at you and jig at you, but not in a negative way, not in a malicious way. I'm trying to hold a conversation with you, man. How the family, how the kids doing, man, you and the wife are doing good. If I can get you to engage in any type of conversation with me. I was just playing mind games. I was just playing mind games and it worked.

[00:53:10]

I got into it with the lineman, rest his soul, Cortez Kennedy, man. And me and Tez used to be going back and forth, man. You crazy. How your brother doing? How your family doing? But we going back and forth. Same thing with Justin McLaughlin, rest his soul, man. I got into it normally with the lineman, the D lineman, because they were really the only ones that would go back and forth with me, would get upset because now they teeing off on them. I ain't got to block them.

[00:53:43]

Yeah, see, I got in trouble like that, too. I'd never forget, man. I never forget. When we play the Ravens, I like to go argue with Joy Porter. I like to go Joy Porter.

[00:53:55]

And.

[00:53:56]

Argue with Ray Lewis during the no, with Ray. And I used to mess with the lineman. Hello, Dinata? Who else? Peter Bolware there? Yeah. Listen, I like to go talk trash to them during the tv time out. I'm never in my huddle. I'm all in the Ravens or the Steelers huddle and Big Willie had to get on me over and over and over. Ocho, man, get over here, man. You don't have to deal with them. You amping them up and ramping them up. We got to deal with them.

[00:54:27]

Ain't no wrong with that.

[00:54:28]

It's cool. Big Willie, baby. They put their pants on one leg at a time.

[00:54:36]

I had to celebrate a little bit. Shannon. Shannon Sharp was complex. Most entertaining sports media personalities. I was one, Stephen a was two, Charles Barkley was three, Pat McAfee was four, Shaq was five. Cameron and Mace was six. Gilbert Arenas was seven, JJ Reddick was eight, Michael Urban was nine, and Mina Kyle was six. I mean, ten. Those were the top ten.

[00:55:02]

Yeah. Hey, we finished celebrate. Hold on, hold on. We finish celebrating.

[00:55:12]

They say brand is dandy, but liquor is quicker.

[00:55:16]

Yeah. Where they say a loophole is better. I don't know. That's it. I'm going to get some of this donut, though.

[00:55:25]

You know what, ocho? It was no liquor that killed old Bill. It didn't even take his breath. A little Green Hornets went up Bill nose and tickled Bill to death. But you know, it. I like to get by the know. You don't really turn the fireplace on in California, but you sit by the fireplace and you sit back and you reflect. You reflect, right?

[00:55:55]

Yeah.

[00:55:56]

I understand 2023 didn't get off to the best start for me. There were a lot of things that was going on. The situation that happened at the Lakers game, what was going on me with undisputed. But I remember, and I tweeted this, and if you all go back and look, you can see I said, 2023 is going to be my year because my sister sent me a quote. She said, if you kneel before God, he will stand for you. And if he stands for you, no one can stand against you. But this couldn't be possible without you. Look, I would be remiss if I didn't mention my six years and nine months at undisputed and skip giving me an opportunity because that's kind of where it started. I was able to formulate a personality, become relatable, and so I really appreciate undisputed and skip giving me an opportunity. And then Stephen a come in and I've only worked with Stephen a for about four months and him giving me an opportunity. And if you notice, I'm getting more and more comfortable, so I'm starting to be more and more like the Shannon that they saw in undisputed.

[00:56:55]

And then you and I get together. You and I have been working together for a little over three. There's a lot that went into this. And although I'm number one, I couldn't have done this without skip. I could not have done this without, look, Cam and mace on here as a duo. Actually, they're the only duo on here. So we definitely need to be. We need to be, and I got no problem with that.

[00:57:27]

We're going to be number one next year, matter of fact.

[00:57:29]

Okay. Yeah. The Kelsey brothers are 21, so they're the only brothers, they're the only combo. Everybody else are individuals. And so.

[00:57:41]

We going to be number one now because what we're doing right now is sitting short amount pace that.

[00:57:47]

We going even after. You got honorable mention, ocho. Honorable mention? I got honorable mention? Yeah, honorable mention. Candace Parker, Matt bars and Stack, Marshawn lynch, the mighty brothers and Jeff Teague.

[00:58:05]

I got honorable mention. Why never take that?

[00:58:08]

You got honorable mention after three months. Imagine after you get an entire year up under your belt of doing this and we do what we do because we're only going to get better because we put this thing together last minute and really had no knowledge because I knew you. But we haven't spent a whole lot of time around each other. So the chemistry that we developed, we've developed that on the fly.

[00:58:36]

Oh, listen, the chemistry was already there. Now we cut from the same clock.

[00:58:41]

You look at it and you look at what we've been able to do thus far. Like I said, like I said, the time that I spent on undisputed Jamie Horowitz, who's one of my bosses over there at the volume when they came down and he said, you're going to be a star, he said, with your quick wit, your hard work, you're going to be great. Stephen a says, look, my job is to take you to a level to make you bigger than what you already are. And if I can't do that, I failed you. He told me that. He says, I'm going to make sure however big you are currently, my job is to make sure you're two x three x. That if you were to decide to leave and then getting you, yes, well.

[00:59:26]

Hold on, hold on. I want to be double edged. That's what you all going to bring.

[00:59:34]

Me on this, doing this. Think about it.

[00:59:38]

Yeah. So imagine, yeah, two months.

[00:59:45]

Well, we've been doing it since September.

[00:59:47]

Because we're in a third month channel.

[00:59:49]

Two months ago, but we've been doing it since September.

[00:59:54]

Okay? Shit, I want to be big, too. I want to be famous. Yeah. Shit, I want to rub shoulders.

[01:00:02]

But you look at the guys. I mean, obviously, for me, Charles Barkley is the guy that I looked at, because Charles is from Alabama. And I said, rural Alabama. Hell, everything in Alabama is rural. Ain't no city, parts of Alabama. Everything in Alabama is rural. But it was him that could be his authentic self. He played the sport. He didn't have a problem criticizing players, even though players, it rubbed some players the wrong way. And I know he takes a lot of criticism because he never won a championship, but I'm a firm believer, ocho, you can be a great player and not win a at.

[01:00:41]

You're looking at one.

[01:00:42]

I look at Pat McAfee and I look at the model, which he was able to do. He's a punter. Punters don't normally ascend to the level of which he's ascended to. And to see him go from doing his little thing in his basement and having a little this and that, and all of a sudden he has 2.3 million subs. And also he's taken a model that's taken gone from digital to taking it to linear television. So you look at him, and so for me, I'm like. And I want Pat McAfee, having been around him a little while and talked to him. I want him to succeed, to show that this model can be successful. So the bigger. So the more successful he becomes that let guys that's in the space, like you and I, that, hey, maybe there's a potential run that we could. But if it doesn't happen, ocho, I'm cool with this being. I'll be in our home, right?

[01:01:35]

No, no, but that's not how it's going to be. I've already foreseen the future.

[01:01:39]

But here's the thing.

[01:01:40]

I know what's going to happen. Anything you touch, anything you touch, anything I've touched, anything you've ever touched, it turns a goal. Whatever vision you have, it always comes to the fruition. That's just the way God works. God has favor. He's always had favor for you, and he's always had favor for me. Now, when you put both of us together, now, the dynamic due on what we've been able to create in such a short amount of time needs to be a study done at Harvard, because it's never been done this fast before, ocho.

[01:02:07]

But what we do on nightcap is not cut out for linear television, because if we take nightcap to linear television, we're going to have to dilute it too much. And that takes, listen, to me, ocho, I'm telling you how linear television works. We can do this because we own digital. You think we could talk about what we talk about on television?

[01:02:32]

Yes. Can I say something? We could change the motherfucking landscape. Television.

[01:02:42]

Ocho. You think they're going to let us talk about what I said about thee, stallion? Or what we talked about, Miss Nasty B. Ocho, come on, now.

[01:02:51]

That's what tv is missing. They missing the real. They missing authentic organic material and content. That's what we need. We need to take a stand.

[01:03:06]

You go ahead. I'm gonna let you take your stand. You go to linear television. I'm gonna stay right here on YouTube with this, or we're gonna have to get a different. We're going to have to do something else. But nightcap, in its form, currently does not exist on linear television. And it's okay. Look at Howard Stern.

[01:03:24]

Okay, all right.

[01:03:24]

Howard Stern ain't been on. And you see what exactly. Yeah, it's okay. Digital. They pay money, too, right? And you're getting more things. You get the Amazon. You get the Netflix. You get the hulu's. Hey, you got the YouTube. YouTube just purchased the NFL the right for ten years. So it's okay for me. I'm cool with it.

[01:03:57]

Yeah, I feel you. But I just don't like the fact that we can't be on linear television and actually be. Because of. That ain't going to happen. Yeah, I know, but that's what tv need. That's what tv need. They need that raw, uncut, uncensored. I'm not rude. I just say what everyone else is thinking. Yeah, see, that's what we need.

[01:04:25]

We got it right there. We got it right here. Think about this, ocho.

[01:04:29]

I feel you. I'm looking at the bigger picture.

[01:04:36]

You know, Mr. Beast, he does 60 million a year. Is he on linear?

[01:04:42]

Nice.

[01:04:42]

And they've been asking him to go to linear. He said, no, I'm good right here.

[01:04:48]

Right. They'll try to change what you think they're going to do with us.

[01:04:53]

You think they will let us talk about the subject that we talk about, how we talk about it? You think I will be able to say. You think I will be able to say. Saloon doors, deep hearted, continuous. Come on, show man. We got to be real in our.

[01:05:14]

Okay. I was just saying, if we never knocked the doe down, ain't going to never open.

[01:05:19]

Guess what?

[01:05:19]

I got you.

[01:05:21]

I'll build a house around the door. We ain't got to knock it down. We go build a structure around the door that's erect already. Check this out. Ocho, the heir to the retail empire. Hermes. That's how it's pronounced. Hermes.

[01:05:36]

Hermes.

[01:05:37]

He's planning to adopt his 51 year old gardener so he can pass his $11 billion fortune to him. He's the grandson of the founder of the fashion giant who owns 5.7% of the country. The company.

[01:05:59]

Yes.

[01:06:00]

Nicholas. Nicholas Puch.

[01:06:07]

Wait, so he's given a small percentage?

[01:06:10]

No, he wants to adopt him so he can leave 11 billion to the gardener. He doesn't have kids, but he has siblings, and I want to see what you have to say about this. Sometimes people think because you're blood, but sometimes people that are not blood will treat you better than people that you share a bloodline with. And then there's an expectation where I'm your blood. No matter how bad I should treat you, I treat you.

[01:06:44]

Yeah, I'm entitled.

[01:06:46]

No, you're not going to treat me. You're not going to treat me bad and think I'm going to leave what I've accumulated to you. I wish I might. And when somebody. That's the way it works better. So what's your take on that, ojo?

[01:07:04]

I like it. It's a bit Od. It doesn't happen much, but in life, especially when it comes to business, and sometimes you have things going for yourself. Let's say you got a clothing business. Your family will be the first one to say, man, shoot me something and let me wear it. Why not support. Why not support your biggest supporters when you have something going on or you're selling the product or anything you have going on in life, your biggest support. Strangers that you don't even know.

[01:07:33]

Don't even know.

[01:07:34]

You don't even know.

[01:07:35]

Don't even know.

[01:07:36]

Every time. It always happens like that. Because the people you do know. Yeah, man. And, you know, black folk. Favorite line. Well, let's get a discount.

[01:07:46]

They'll pay $6,000 for Louis Vuitton and won't pay $100 for your stuff.

[01:07:51]

Oh, yeah. Never. Because, you know, it's a status symbol. It's an image.

[01:08:00]

It's a portrayal of Louis. I own Louis Vuitton luggage and gear. But I'm just saying, for me, a lot of times, people hit me up.

[01:08:14]

That's a lot of money, though. 11 billion.

[01:08:20]

Wait, you see how much those Hermes bag costs? They got bags that cost that start at, like, 25, 30,000 and go up to a million a bag.

[01:08:30]

Yeah. Hey, listen, I did my homework. Now you know, Christmas coming up.

[01:08:36]

Yes. Floyd Mayweather was the first person I ever saw with that bag. Well, actually, I saw Sotheby's auction one off way back for, like, 300. But Kim K got a himalayan. Floyd Mayweather got a himalayan duffel.

[01:08:53]

Yeah, I think Drake might have one, too.

[01:08:56]

I think Drake got Floyd up in the house. And, ocho, you just can't walk up in there and get one. I don't care how much money you got.

[01:09:04]

Oh, no.

[01:09:08]

They had a list.

[01:09:14]

Ask me how I know it's a list.

[01:09:17]

Because when I tried to get something and I wasn't on it, that's how I knew it was a list. That's how I knew it was a list. O cho. They're like, you ain't on it, bro. It is.

[01:09:30]

That's a different world. That's a different world.

[01:09:37]

Sometimes.

[01:09:37]

Go ahead.

[01:09:39]

Manners, right? And good friends can get you things money can't buy.

[01:09:48]

Man. Say that one more time for the people in case they missed it.

[01:09:50]

Sometimes manners and good friends can get you things money can't buy.

[01:09:59]

Are you lucky I ain't got my pen and paper with.

[01:10:04]

It'S. And you never know. Ocho. I ain't gonna lie, ocho. Since I've been on my own, and I'm not really on my own, but I'm just saying, as an entity trying to grow Shay media. Shay Shay media, I've had more people reach out and want to help me in a lot of different areas.

[01:10:24]

Right.

[01:10:24]

I like the way you conduct yourself. I like the way you speak. I like the way you treat people. I like the way you handle yourself. I help you here. Well, I know somebody over here. Let me put you in contact with them. I know somebody over there. A lot of what transpired of what you see going on. Somebody referred, but I had no idea, had no knowledge of these people. Ocho, right. That's why I say ocho, man.

[01:10:52]

That's dope. That's live.

[01:10:55]

My grandfather used to say, boy, be careful. The toes you step on today might be connected to the foot, on the leg that lead to the butt you got to kiss tomorrow. Be careful how you treat people. You never know.

[01:11:11]

Come on, you preach. It ain't even Sunday.

[01:11:17]

Might be on the foot connected to the leg that lead to the butt you got to kiss tomorrow. Be careful how you treat people.

[01:11:24]

Yes, sir.

[01:11:24]

You never know how you treat somebody today and the position that they're in tomorrow. I had a young lady. I met her 20 plus years ago. 20. We kept in contact. Hey, Shannon. We having a conversation, would you be interested?

[01:11:43]

Yes.

[01:11:44]

Deal got done. 20 years. Might talk to her once every four years. But she remembered she was at an entry level. Her job was to come and to show me around and help things like that. But she got a higher job now, and she remembered how Shannon Sharp treated her, even though I was in the NFL, how I was. She said, you know what? He didn't look down on me because I was in the position that I was in. That's how I say, be careful how you treat people because you never know.

[01:12:17]

Yeah. Especially when you're high up. Especially when you winning. Normally when you're winning and you got money and things are going really well, going really well for you, people tend to act funny. They move differently, because when people have wealth and money, you feel like you're invincible for some reason. You feel like, is you against the world. Can't nobody tell you nothing at all. And sometimes you treat people bad. Sometimes you treat people bad because you feel you're better than others. I've never, ever, and I think this is a funny story. And this go for people in the chat. This is go for people in the chat. I'm sure there are people that have crossed paths with me at some point that might be watching. I have a thing that I'm known for doing, and I've been doing it for years, even when I was playing, is I have a thing for telling people I love you. Obviously, I tweeted every day, but if you ever met me in public, I tell people I love you. And everybody get a hug, and I introduce myself and act like I've known them for 30 years and I ain't seen them and I ain't never seen them a day in my life.

[01:13:25]

But I always like to make people feel like you. Yeah, I always like to make people feel like I know them or they've known me for years. Because obviously, during my playing days, the media vilified me and I bought into it and being the villain. So I just like the people show. I like to show people my true colors and my other side, that really is me, you know, the fun, the loving, the playful. People walk up to me and like, man, listen, I ain't want to bother you before he can finish talking, man, bring it here, man. Give me a fuck a hug. What have you been at all these years, man? Yeah, just making people feel good.

[01:14:01]

I think that's how you was raised. I just remember my grandmother always treat people with respect for me. Ocho, I've never even from. And I think because I didn't have a whole lot. And even as I started to accumulate, I never thought I was better than someone else. I might think I could do my job better than you could do your job, but that doesn't think I'm better than you because I have more than you. I might think I'm better at what I do as opposed to what you do better than what you do. But I don't think I'm better than you because I have. Because I'm on television, because I played in the NFL, because I got a gold jacket. No, I'm not better than you because of that. Now I think I do what I do right now on television. I don't think there's very many people out there. I don't think there's anybody that can do what I do better than what I do. But that's just the way I was raised. And my grandmother's greatest enjoyment, it wasn't that she had two grandboys that made it to the NFL, that graduated college, that was making millions.

[01:15:08]

Her greatest enjoyment, when people came and said, mary, you did a great job with them boys. Because everybody. That's a southern thing. That's how they respect. They ain't really. I don't remember ever being called my name. I thought my name was boy. Hey, Mary, what them boys at? Mary, them boys, Barney. What about them boys? So that's just the way. And I was like, you know what? That's my grandmother's crowning achievement.

[01:15:35]

You're reflecting. You were reflecting how you turn out and how you operate. Once you go on from under that umbrella in that nest is reflection.

[01:15:45]

I'm a reflection of Marion, Barney Porter. I'm a reflection of. I grew up in Glenville. I'm a reflection of Savannah State. I'm proud because I'm one of their brightest. I understood no matter what transpired. He went to Savannah State. He's from Glenville, Georgia. He was raised by his grandparents. My mom, man, my mom called me. Well, now, she just. I was like, look, whatever my mom needs, you don't have to clear it. It's a yes. It's a yes, right? And I know because my mom is not a problem. It's okay, mom. It's taken care of. Don't worry about it. Why are you calling? Well, you know, I hate. No, don't hate. As long my purpose. And I told my grandmother, I got you all. And when I say I got you, I got you. My brother, my sister, my mom, I got you all. Now, the kids that's another story. You all young, but they know. Hey, remember what I told you, ocho, right? I'm last option, not first choice.

[01:16:52]

Yeah, so, you know, Christmas coming. Kids. Your kids give you their list? Yeah. You getting everything on there?

[01:17:05]

They ain't kids no more. They my kids. But you all grown now.

[01:17:10]

The days of mine grown, too.

[01:17:14]

The days of three and 15 things. I want this, this, those are over. Except my son, who's married. Hell, the girls, they get damn near everything they want anyway during the year.

[01:17:31]

Okay. All right. For me, obviously, I have a tribe. I have a tribe. All of mine combined together. But the fact that we are in that social media area, social media era of wanting to be flashy and have this and portray this image of doing this. You know what's funny? Those I have kids from have done one hell of a job because my kids haven't got caught up in that lifestyle of having to have the latest of the latest or to look like, oh, well, I got to look a certain way because of who my daddy is. And they never got caught up in that. So they look far. They look great. They're really good at. What's the word I'm looking for? It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it. So when times like this come around and I look at the Christmas list and it's like 1314 items on one, I ain't got no problem. I ain't got no problem getting everything because we go the whole eleven months, they barely asked me for nothing. So come times like this, I'm excited because this is one of the few times of the year where I actually spend some damn money.

[01:18:49]

You always said don't be cheap with myself, right? But that's how I always been. But Christmas time. Yeah.

[01:18:56]

I think the faith.

[01:18:57]

Look, I can't wait to see.

[01:19:01]

I can't wait to somebody else take my role like a husband. That's what I'm thinking.

[01:19:07]

Yeah. Okay.

[01:19:10]

But I think the thing is for the kids, look, as long as you don't give your mom, because I know you're not going to give me no problem, because I stay the one thing I've always done a great job. I told all my kids, I say, our dynamic won't ever change. I said, I'm always going to be your dad. You're always going to be the child. I said, even if I'm old and feeble and you got to take care of me, the dynamic will never change. I said, I don't ask for it. I demand your respect, because I've done too much for you not to respect it. I said, look, I'm going to treat you like an adult, and we can agree. You ask me my opinion, I'm going to give you my honest opinion. But at the end of the day, you grown, you make your own decision. But I demand that you respect me. I demand that you respect your mom. And that's all I ask for you. That's all I ask from you, is to respect me and your mom right now. Your mom called and say she got a problem. Then you're going to have a problem with me.

[01:20:08]

You're going to have a big ass problem with me, right? No.

[01:20:13]

You ever had them issues, though?

[01:20:14]

Because their mama pick up the phone and say, well, I'm having a problem with such and such. Put them on the phone. Okay. Now what's the problem?

[01:20:26]

Yeah, right in the bud.

[01:20:29]

Don't make me get on the flight and come.

[01:20:33]

Yeah, you know what's funny? You know what's funny is I'm the fun guy. I'm the fun father, and I'm never the one that has to do the disciplining because mamas, why they don't play that shit right.

[01:20:52]

Where I'm from.

[01:20:53]

No, they don't play that shit. They don't play that. And I think I was lucky. I'm very fortunate, and I say it from time to time, all the time, because I'm never in a space on a platform to give them credit for the job that they have done with my kids. Yeah, but, man, shit.

[01:21:13]

You want me to call your dad? No, don't call him.

[01:21:15]

Hell of a job.

[01:21:17]

Don't call me don't day. There's nothing that you could.

[01:21:23]

I'm the last resort. It got to be something real serious for somebody to pick up the phone and call me. It got to be real.

[01:21:32]

Everything that you wanted. I mean, we rolling dice, man. We win the dice game and they get these little electric scooters, man. I think I spent like $3,000 on them electric scooters. Got my girlfriend to send them to them. The mama said, they can't have these.

[01:21:51]

Yeah.

[01:21:54]

Shannon, they ain't never driven anything in their life. The kids gonna end up hurting themselves. I said, okay, we'll sell it. Sell it just like that?

[01:22:05]

Sell it just like that.

[01:22:07]

You say I get them something and you say, they can't have it. I'm not going back and forth with you. You say, they're not qualified to have it, sell it. What am I arguing about? Stuff like that you around them more than I, so you know their capabilities more than I do. I got no problem with that. I'm not going to go back and forth with you about, no, I bought it. I'm their dad. It was never none of that. It was never that type of disagreement. Did we disagree? Absolutely, of course. But as I started to get older and the kids started to get older, it wasn't that big of a deal. Ocho, once you realized that, you know what? We ain't doing number hurting the kids. I said, we argue about petty stuff. Is it really that serious? Is it really that serious? They're like, nah.

[01:23:02]

It takes very mature woman, or it takes mature woman to actually get to that point where they don't want to argue about nothing because it's a waste of time. Because sometimes you always ask in the chat, if you're married, if you have a boy, if you have a girlfriend or you got a spouse, ask them, you want to be happy or you want to be right, which one you want to be? You want to be happy or you want to be right? Because you can't get both.

[01:23:28]

Sometimes Ocho is better to be wrong and keep the peace than to be right and cause an argument. And once I realized that it was okay. See, guys, it ain't that big of a deal.

[01:23:45]

Come on.

[01:23:49]

Actually arguing about. Because when we created this, there was no argument. What? No argument. But now what? Come on, now. Because at the end of the day, you know, I'm going to always do. Yeah, I'm disappointed that you put me through this, but I'm always going to do right by the kids. Always. And so it wasn't always like this. It took some growing on my part and said, you know what? Because I had to be right, ocho. No, you're not going to get the upper hand on me. F that I spend my going to let you get the upper hand. I was like, you know what? It ain't worth it. It ain't worth it. And so now we got great relationship.

[01:24:31]

That's growth.

[01:24:32]

Happy Father's Day, happy Mother's Day. I always ask the kids, how your mom doing? They're doing good. But it took a process to get to where we got, ocho, because, you know, I'm playing football, I'm trying to be the best I can, and I'm feeling like y'all trying to attack me, y'all trying to take advantage of me. And maybe that wasn't the case, but I grew up fighting, so I ain't got no problem fighting and not physically fighting, but fighting for what I believe.

[01:25:06]

Is right in a different manner. Believe in right. But.

Wherever you get your podcast. Faith donated $100 and said Shannon Nocho, congrats. Skipping Stephen a wasn't taking them hits off the field. That was you and Jesus, your grandmother, have been dancing in heaven right now. God be the glory. Keep moving forward. Yeah, Faith, you're absolutely right. But sometimes you need someone to give you an opportunity. Skip was the first that gave me the opportunity, because before anybody, I was the first athlete to do the debate format every single day. Now, a lot of people do it now, Ocho, but I was the first to sit across from a journalist and do this every day. But I knew I had to be exemplary, because people that know me know how hard I work, know how much I study, and if he couldn't do it well, who's going to do it? So it cost me relationships, because when I should have been going home, Ocho, to be with my partner, I wanted to stay because in the process of me flying, I was going to miss, or I was going to miss something. So, no, I sacrificed that to be good for others, because I wanted to show we weren't dumb jocks.

[01:28:53]

Be your football, be baseball or basketball. We're more than that. That's what you know us for, but that's not who I am. And so that was my process, and it cost me two relationships.

[01:29:08]

And it.

[01:29:08]

Was all while they understood. But I wanted to be great at this. I wanted to be better at this than I was at football, because football became football was natural. Yes, I'm quick with it. Yes, I can add lib. Yes, I'm percival. Yes, I'm relatable. But to be able to remember, ocho, you don't listen to always to respond. You listen to understand. So now, not only was I having it, because now it's more conversational, little less debate in a debate format. Now, I got what I want to say, but I got to punch holes in your argument also. So I got to listen intelligent, what you say, punch holes in that, all while retaining the information and getting my point out also. Now I got to hold information. I got all the knowledge, everything, to spit out LeBron, to spit out bird, to spit out magic, to spit out Jordan, to spit out Brady and Manning and this guy stat. That guy, stat. And baseball and basketball and track and field and social issues, and in 1968 and in 1948 and this and that. Yeah, it's not as easy as you think because everybody, when that red dot going on that camera, everybody can't talk on cue.

[01:30:25]

And I got a producer in my ear. Turn it over to him. Make sure you get that pointing. Also, because I had great. Steve Owens was my first producer that produced my part of the show at undisputed. And then I got ash right now, the CP right here, bro. She made sure they made sure I was prepared because I said, okay, this is what I want to say. And it says okay. And I'm like, okay, what do you think he's going to say? So now we got to formulate ocho. We staying up 2 hours, 3 hours. Now, remember, I got to be to work at 04:00 a.m. Lebron James comes to the Lakers. The game is going off at 1030. 11:00 now we're having conversation after the game, and we're talking, okay, if I say this, what you think? What's his retort? So I've got to hold all that information for ten blocks. What I think he's going to say also, so I can count. But I also got to get my amb points in also. And so I've been very fortunate to have been surrounded by great people that although I'm in front of the camera, it's the people behind the camera.

[01:31:49]

CJ with club Shayshe does a great job of I think this person will be good. I think this person will be good. I think you should reach out to that person. Coming up with questions like, let's go in this direction. I think we should start here and go there. I think we should start there and go here. Ash coming up with topics on this, making sure for first take, she got a lot on the plate. She got a lot on the plate. But from the very first time, and I told her, I told her the very first time I met her, I said, if I get a show and if I ever leave undisputed, you're coming with me. And she looked at me like I was crazy. And even when I went out on my own, I said, as she coming with me, she went in and said, hey, she put in a notice, says, I'm leaving. She called me. She said, shannon, where are we going? I say, I don't know. She said, but wherever you go, I'll be called as I don't know that it's July. Ashley, what we doing? I don't know.

[01:32:52]

He said, okay. She said, but I believe in you. But I told her the very first time, she'll tell you. I said, if I ever go on my own, you're going to produce my show.

[01:33:07]

Oh, yeah.

[01:33:11]

I'm a loyalty guy. And if you down with me, I got you forever. Forever and ever. And I told her when I went to the volume, I said, look, you all can do whoever have the background. I say, but whatever I do, she's in charge. She speaks for me. Don't call me now. She knows me better. Than you do. I said, now, when she says something, it's coming from me. If I ever have to call, you're not going to like the call, I promise you. So just let her handle it. Same thing with CJ. Y'all let him handle it. Y'all talk to my sister, Shelley. She's the executive assistant. Don't call me. When you see my number pop up on your phone, it's a problem. It's hell to pay. So, ash handle nightcap and ESPN. CJ handles club. Shay. Shay, Jordan handle creative side and Shelley oversees everything. But when you have to talk to.

[01:34:19]

Me.

[01:34:22]

I don't want to do no talking. I talk enough during the course of the week. Don't call me with no bull jive. And if they say, well, Shannon, we can't get this done because now I got to pick up the phone. But Ash does a great job. Let me handle. Know. They didn't listen today, but I think tomorrow they'll get the idea.

[01:34:41]

They'll get the idea.

[01:34:42]

Nikki Grant. Shannon, you better celebrate your accomplishment with your fine ass. And I see you just fine, Chatford. Good night, Shannon. And only Shannon.

[01:34:53]

Why I keep doing you like that's the same one I see you drinking. No, it ain't my people. Only people I know, only people I got is real. Think I'm five. That's all that matter. I'm a twelve. On a scale of ten, one to ten.

[01:35:16]

You frail? You 185. I like that. 181. 80. If you ain't 180, you ain't no lady come to me. I like about two and a quarter. Two and a quarter? Two and a quarter. You got the one leg up and they tell you to pick the other one up. I say, I'm about to sit this one down. Come on, Joe.

[01:35:45]

I've been saying that what I like.

[01:35:47]

You like what you like? I like what I like.

[01:35:52]

You know.

[01:35:55]

Better be Ojo is a blessing and a curse.

[01:35:59]

Hold on.

[01:36:00]

You can't. You can't.

[01:36:01]

You can't hold you, girl.

[01:36:04]

I'm about to put this one down. The worst thing about having muscles is that everybody thinks you could pick them up. But everybody ain't fun size, ocho, you know? Wait a minute. You lift all the weight. I saw you lifting all the weights. But you have to understand, I'm lifting those weights in a certain manner, ocho. You know that. You want a pound like this. Hill ain't easy.

[01:36:32]

Yeah, that's different.

[01:36:36]

Both of us up out of here, because I'm going to drop you and I'm going to throw my back out. A jade is out. Young Smokey, VP 17, donated $200 and he asked Uncle Ocho, what Specific team did you enjoy balling on most of your career? Steelers, ocho, Chiefs, Unc. Did you circle those guy them on the schedule?

[01:37:03]

Yeah, I want to circle none of them boys. But that defense was one and two every year, especially that Steelers defense. Well, they want shit to circle on that motherfucker there at all. Goddamn. Ike Taylor, the Shay Townsend, Troy Palomalu, Joy Porter, James Harrison. Circle who? Shay ain't circling shit. I leave that bitch with a circle around my eyes. That's about it.

[01:37:27]

We had radar, we had a week. It was dedicated. Because when Mike came back, this is what happened. Mike got the job at the Raiders. He got fired 20 games into his first head coaching career. Al Davis owed Mike the money, but he wouldn't pay him. And he told him, you'll spend more money trying to recoup the money than you do what I owe you. So when Mike told us, we took that personal, so Mike wanted to kick that. We want to beat him, too. So we're going to beat you enough. We're going to make you get the money up. Kansas City, it was a dog fight. Kansas City and the Raiders. Now Seattle was also in our division. Seattle used to be in the AFC west. It was us, the Chargers, the Raiders and the Chiefs. The Raiders and the Chiefs. Now the Chargers, they were tough. They had some good teams. We like going to San Diego because the weather was normally nice. The kingdom, I don't know if you remember the kingdom, but playing in the kingdom, it was loud. So just imagine the twelveth man indoors. Yes, the twelveth man indoors.

[01:38:39]

It was loud, indoors.

[01:38:41]

They were a defensive based football team, man. It was hell. They had Tez, they had boogie Bryant. They had some good football players. Not only Tez is the one that you know about, but they had some. I mean, Kenny Eazy was before he was gone, before I got there. But they had some good teams. But the Raiders and the Chiefs, we'll fight them before the game. We'll fight them during the game and we'll fight them after the game. We ain't like them. We ain't like game. Check this out, ocho. You know who started this with the Steelers and the Ravens. You know who started it, right?

[01:39:22]

Who.

[01:39:26]

I call Plexico. Plexiglass. Look, they got a 2000 Ravens. What I care about? What you all going to do? What you all going to say?

[01:39:42]

Yeah.

[01:39:42]

And you know, they had had. I'm trying to think who else they had. They had Earl Holmes. One year, they had Earl.

[01:39:52]

Earl. Earl was a thumper. Kendra Bell was a thumper. Boy, coming down here, we talking cash.

[01:39:59]

They didn't like us, we didn't like them. And the thing was, coach cow and coach Belichick, they talking to the Tennessee Titans with Coach Fisher and Brian. Billy, they didn't like each other. We didn't like them.

[01:40:11]

Yeah.

[01:40:12]

So, you know me. And when I got to the Ravens, Brian said, I don't care what y'all say. Just know we got to back it up on Sunday. For real. Hold on. Yeah, take my glasses off like you. I said, for real. I can say whatever I want because Mike didn't like you. Really talking like that. Now, once I got on the field, he ain't like you. Saying to boy stores during the course of the week. He said, once you get to the game, I don't care what you say. Right. But Brian said, what'd you say? You can say whatever you want to. Just know you got to back it up. Oh, that's right up my alley, man. Look, Plexiglass. You tell Plexiglass just to catch the ball and not worry about what we got going on over here, right? Man, the Bengals. Me and tequila. Now, me and Tequila used to work out. Yeah, me and tequila. So they was talking about. They said, tequila spikes is a poor man's Ray Lewis.

[01:41:08]

Man.

[01:41:09]

I said, you know what? Let me get this thing a little spy, because right now, this thing is going. I said, man, comparing tequila to Ray Lewis is like comparing. Dude, where's my car? To Titanic? Oh, that said it all. Dr. Keo. Dr. Keo got to go off in the face. Dr. Keo got to say something to match what I said. We get to the. We dab each other. Good job, sharp. I figure you like that. I figure you like that because now he balled his ass off against that. I probably should have kept my mouth, but it's too late, you know, what's his ideas out there? Ocho.

[01:41:47]

Listen, once you say it right, you can't take it back. And if you talk it, you better walk it.

[01:41:56]

Me and Tequila, like I said, we worked out before. We worked out after that. Every time I see it, bro. How you doing, man? As a matter of fact, I just did his podcast last year in Arizona. Great, dude. Man, Georgia boys, you know, we hate. We ride hard for one. Hey, but we on the other team, we ride hard against each other, too. But then we go come back together in the office. Check this out. DJ Jr. Says, hey, uncle no Cho. I was DJ at chatting Crowder's b day party. Asked Ocho for a photo and he gladly took one with me. Ocho, a real one. Great job, guys. You did.

[01:42:34]

Know I take pictures with. Listen, my hair wasn't done. I ain't had no lashes on, but you want to piss, don't worry about it.

[01:42:42]

That thing in color, because ain't going to see you. Did you like me?

[01:42:50]

That's why they got a bunch of filters. Even if you can't see them in your picture, you could lighten, I don't know.

[01:42:55]

They got a filter for that.

[01:42:56]

You could lighten it up.

[01:43:00]

They got to put that ring light on.

[01:43:01]

Technology, that's what I need to carry with me when people want to take a picture. I need to put the ring light on my face. That's a good idea. My kids be using that. I like that.

[01:43:13]

Aaron Owens asks, why is lt considered the defensive goat and not Reggie White? It's close for me, but I can.

[01:43:22]

Make a good question.

[01:43:23]

Lt is the greatest defensive player, the greatest player in.

[01:43:30]

You know, it's funny, I done sat with lt twice already. You seen the picture I posted on Twitter? Yeah. I go watch my soccer games at Twin Peaks and public pines. Lawrence Taylor come up there every time in a goddamn golf cart with his three budies. I just sat with Lawrence two days in a row before I came.

[01:43:56]

I'm trying to remember what year that was. But Ricky Jackson played with the and the Saints and lt, man, I joined lt and Ricky Jackson so hard. Ocho, man, they came out know lt like to wear flip flops. He had on shorts and flip flops, right, right. Ashy as a mofo, man. I told some his feet were so ashy and the ankle so ashy. I said, you need some just for me, not lotion. That joke needs some just for me. But to get that ash up off him, man, they fell out mean. Now it's kind of hard for me to get back, but I used to just go, Joan just the old. We were young gun.

[01:44:48]

Mike was funny, too.

[01:44:49]

Dude, when me and Mike get together up, because we might start off on somebody, but inevitably it's coming back to me and him going at each other. It's always been like that, right? Always going to be like that. And, you know, time be egging it on with time. Used to go back, time egging it on. See, a lot of them guys didn't know I was that time always knew. Time knew I always had this. But a lot of people didn't know. So that's the first time they seeing me, Jonah. Oh, that's what. Oh, I'm. Oh, yes. Oh, I've got a phd in Joning. Oh, yeah, for sure. But I miss going back and seeing the guys because I don't really see the guys. And even when I go back to, like, alumni function, when we go back for, the only time that I really get back is for the Super bowl for the Broncos. The anniversary.

[01:45:44]

Right.

[01:45:45]

I light them up. I light them up, ocho. I had to get them. Alec Hurst said one game to win. Everyone in their prime. Unk with LeBron, ocho with Jordan. But really, we're going to be the dog.

[01:46:03]

Wait.

[01:46:04]

I don't care what it is. Basketball, shooting, pool, table tennis, what they call cornhole. I don't care.

[01:46:15]

Listen, whatever it is we play. Whatever it is, if me and Jordan are teaming up against you and LeBron or anything, whatever it is we play. You are the liability and the reason y'all gonna lose. You can't dribble. You can't shoot no. You can't play table tennis. You can't shoot no pool, you can't bowl. But, man, we would wipe you out and everything.

[01:46:37]

Ocho, did you know I had my own queue?

[01:46:43]

They call you boy.

[01:46:45]

You heard of Minnesota fans? They call your boy Georgia slim? I beat him. I beat fats. I beat Misscone. Willie Masconi. I beat Steve Miserak. Well, you better stop playing with me.

[01:47:22]

But.

[01:47:23]

Hey, Ojo. You better stop with me. Oh, Joe. We beat the brakes up, y'all.

[01:47:27]

Hey, man, trust me. They had nothing with me and Jordan.

[01:47:31]

Team table tennis.

[01:47:33]

I'm telling you.

[01:47:36]

Don'T do that now.

[01:47:39]

Right there, I'm going to stop you right there. I'm going to stop you right there. One thing you're not going to do is you ain't going to sit here and put no laugh like that. He on God's green earth. About beat me in no table tennis, boy. I was the Charles Hadley table tennis champ in 1985 all the way to goddamn 1999. Ain't lost to nobody.

[01:47:55]

That's what I'm saying. Liberty City.

[01:47:56]

Don't do that.

[01:47:57]

Everybody kicking the block in Liberty City.

[01:48:01]

Nah, boy, I come from the ocho. True. What did you talk about?

[01:48:07]

The Chinese wanted me to come play for them.

[01:48:12]

Yeah, they wanted you to come play for them. They wanted me to play.

[01:48:16]

I told them no, I couldn't betray my country. You better stop playing with me, man.

[01:48:22]

Don't do that, man. Table tennis. Don't do that man, don't do that shooting pool, cornhole. Don't do it. Don't do it to yourself.

[01:48:33]

First of all, I know you can't play no pool because you didn't know how many balls were on the table. That's first of all, you ain't know nothing about no eight ball, you ain't know nothing about no nine ball. You ain't know nothing about no six ball. You ain't know nothing. So stop.

[01:48:47]

You not be me in any of these games you talk about.

[01:48:52]

What happened to that yellow box Chevy you had back in the day with the sound? Used to see you in Columbia, South Carolina. No, bro, I had no box Chevy. I had a pickup truck. Got a pickup truck. Then my sideboard year, my brother bought me a 300 ZX with t tops. Called it Z Forge. Then I got a 300 mercedes, white peanut butter goods. Yeah, for show.

[01:49:20]

Looking like Frank Lucas.

[01:49:22]

I had the baddest car. I had the most expensive car on the yard back then, okay? Money making brother in NFL, he made sure the pockets had the months. Yeah, I was right. They couldn't say nothing. Brother give me like. He's like, hey, bro, I tell you what I do. I give you $200 for every Touchdown. I give you $500 for every 100 yard I go get. 204. Touchdown.

[01:49:56]

Look at that.

[01:49:57]

You know what I'm saying? So guess what? Me and the Mrs. We had the hotel. We had the hotel on Friday. Saturday night, we go to the movie, pack your bag. I tell on weird to pack your bag. Fried. I'm picking you up. I pick you up at 05:00 go to the hotel. You don't freshen up? I got to freshen up. Go to the movie. We do mess the bed up while we leave. Go to the movie. You know what I'm saying? Or go get something to eat back then. I could go to the movies. I could go get something to eat and go to the movies. I can't do that now. I'd be sleep. I'd be sleep. You know what I said? Hotel back then, woman fit it all. Fit it all.

[01:50:44]

Yeah. Oh, listen, I told you about the one in Miami off oka choke for $30, right? I'm just saying, if any point you want to go in down there.

[01:50:57]

I got to bring my own pillow and linen.

[01:51:02]

They got pillows. It's called Executive palace. Real nice room.

[01:51:06]

Disco ball. Lay up at dock. My head. Yeah. Lake all night.

[01:51:13]

Okay?

[01:51:15]

I spent like three, $4 by the time I get Friday night, Saturday night, go out to dinner. Both of those nights go to the movie because I've always been a movie guy. I spent two in all, two fitting. Yeah, I kept legging, I kept Calvin Klein, I kept darksiders. You better stop. You better ask.

[01:51:58]

I was simple, man. I had a white Arab from the, from all white arab t shirt, man, from the gas.

[01:52:10]

My brother wearing sweats to class, but he going to make show, baby. Broke crease jeans. Everything went to the dry clean.

[01:52:19]

You clean.

[01:52:21]

Everything went to the cleaners, curry cleaners back in Savannah. Ask them. I've been bringing my stuff in there since I was a junior in what? I ain't washed withdrawals and t shirts since the junior college. I ain't do no, everything was dry clean.

[01:52:41]

Hey, I've been, boy, you were living, boy, you've been living. And you were living like the royal family.

[01:52:48]

My sister said, you, boy, you got to make it to the NFL the way you live.

[01:52:52]

Yeah.

[01:52:56]

I kept me starch, jeans, stars, shirt, eyes out, dry clean. Yeah, every old lady watch the underwear and stuff like that. Because back then, I'm guy be stealing your stuff. Try to steal my stuff. O choke, bro. Stop it.

[01:53:16]

No. Damn.

[01:53:16]

Well, you ain't got no eyes on. I'm the only one that got the stripe. Eyes on. Come on, bro.

[01:53:21]

Yeah.

[01:53:24]

For you all. Make me act a fool up in here. Patrick Woolery asks uncle no cho, not trying to be too deep, but in one words or a few sentences, how would you summarize your 2023 and what's the most important lesson that you guys have learned? Go ahead, ocho.

[01:53:41]

Summarize my 2023, man. It's been a blessing. It's been a blessing for me. Obviously, I've come a long way. I've come a long way, man. And I would have never envisioned life for me to be where it is now. It's been good. I'm thankful, obviously, the kids are doing well. Those that are in college, the Mrs. Doing well. Everything is going really well. It's going really well. And I just obviously thankful for you as well for allowing me to have this opportunity to be on here on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. I enjoy it. Gives me an opportunity to talk and show another side of me at times, and then also my authentic and organic side as well. So my 2023 has been amazing, and I'm hoping that it carries right on over into 2024.

[01:54:35]

My 2023 has been more than amazing. Even in my wildest dreams, I didn't envision all of this. Well, first of all, I didn't envision the situation that happened at undisputed. But my sister used to always tell me, boy, sometimes God closes doors. He already has one already open. And he said, sometimes God will open door, can't no man close. And sometimes he'll close the door. Can't no man open. She said, just be ready. My 2023 has been great because I'm in a position now that I can help other people. And that's what I'm trying to do, is to build up while giving people opportunities. Just like someone helped me, my job is to help someone else. 2023 has been amazing, and it's only going to get better. Like you said, 2023 is ending with a bang. But we're going to roll this thing right over to 2024. And we got a late start because ocho people don't realize this. We threw this thing together in a matter of days. Hey, ocho, man. Ocho. Hey. I called Doug. I've been knowing Doug since Doug. Doug fresh out of college. That's how long I know Doug. Doug was fresh out of college.

[01:55:59]

Dan said, bro, he's supposed to be watching me. I'm looking for him. He on the dance floor. I called Doug. I said, hey, check this out. I want to run something about Ocho. He like, funny man. Ocho already. Ocho in Cali right now. Hey, you think we can do lunch? Like, yeah, I heat him up next day. Hey, bro, I got this idea. I'm thinking about doing x, y, and z. He's like, let's do it.

[01:56:22]

That's it.

[01:56:22]

That's how it happened. I would love to tell you we had some elaborate that we were sitting down and we've been talking about this for months and months. In two days, we put this together, and that's what happened. So now, and no sponsors and not a whole lot of ads, but now, after people seeing what we do, they're like, okay, we want to be a part of that. And we welcome the opportunity for someone to be a part of what we have growing. And so 2023 has been great. 2024 is going to be even better. All glory be to God, because without him, none of this is possible. And without you guys, because you make it possible and you make it worthwhile. So thank you, because a lot of you guys remember me from first take. And you follow me to ESPN. You follow me to club Shayshe. You follow me to unkin ocho. And so we really appreciate what you guys have done for us. Eduardo tapia asks, who wins a mile race between you two? Eduardo, I ain't going to lie to you, bro. If I'm doing anything besides walking, somebody chasing me, and I promise you, if they chasing me, I'm doing like this here.

[01:57:47]

My running day is over. Ain't no more running for me, ocho. I'm running, my mouth still running. That's all I got with these two repaired hip, the doctor say these hips will last you a long time, Mr. Sharp, if you don't run. I say I ain't ran before I got them. I damn sure ain't going to run after I got them. So it's a brisk walk for you, boy. Thank you, uncle no show for the podcast football laughs it's been helping me during these times with my mom going through crafts and treatment. Well, Alicia, keep your head up. Stay prayed up.

[01:58:25]

Yeah.

[01:58:25]

Hopefully it turns out well for your mom. Mom. Get well soon, Uncle Ocho. We're praying for you and everybody out there. Send a prayer out to Alicia for what her and a mom is going through right now. Mark. Boo says, unc, I got to tell you, last year was one of the toughest years for me. I'm only 27 years old. Being able to watch you on undisputed every day helped me like no other. Shannon, you brought me to the light, bro. I really appreciate that, Mark. I appreciate your support. You guys have supported me from the jump. I really didn't know what to expect. I really didn't know how tv worked. I didn't understand ratings, and I didn't know am I going to be received because I was going with somebody. That's the godfather of that format. Skip started that, so give him his credit. So I knew what I was up against. But people like, well, can he do never. They remember sports reporters and they remember around the horn and they remember all that. All those guys are journalists, man. How's a former NFL player going to talk about basketball? How's he going to talk about baseball?

[01:59:38]

How's he going to talk about track and field? How is he going to talk about social issues? I'll show you. I'll show you. And yeah, with the work, ocho, if you put the work in, you can get incrementally better. And that was what I wanted to do.

[01:59:57]

I think it's possible.

[01:59:59]

I didn't want to be a football guy that was talking basketball. I want to be a guy talking basketball. I want to be a guy that was talking sports. And you didn't know. You would have never known. I didn't play that sport. You put the work in, you put the time in, you become a student of the game. You don't know what you don't know. Pay attention. Listen. You see? Okay, see that?

[02:00:30]

Okay.

[02:00:30]

That's what that's called. That's called a pin down, okay? That's called a flare. Okay?

[02:00:40]

Boom.

[02:00:41]

Next thing you know, it's second nature. To you, football was second nature. Hey, look, I know cover one, I know lurk robber. I know anything. Cover five, cover four, cover six, kick, cover eight quarters. I get all that. I know it. I know fronts over under, shade, cop nine, wide nine seven, five, shade three. Get all that, ocho?

[02:01:05]

Get it?

[02:01:07]

But how do you get better at what you don't know? Because it's easy to talk about what you do know. Guys, that was the guy that said.

[02:01:26]

How much?

[02:01:28]

Oh, yeah. Please subscribe to our channel and drop us a review on Apple podcast. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for clicking that, like, button. Please make sure you hit that subscribe button. How many people we had? 17,000. I think we got up to a high of 20 tonight. We got up to a high of 20, ocho. Did you know that?

[02:01:52]

Yeah. Today, what I'm doing, right, what I did today is I got the chat going, right? I got my phone open, and I put it on top of my computer. So I'm reading the chat at the same time, and I've seen. That's a whole lot of people, man. 17,000 reaching 20 at its peak. Man, that's good, man. That's really good. I really never been on no platform like this before.

[02:02:21]

Ocho, we got four more minutes. We're going to make it to 2 hours a night, and then I got to go to bed, man. I got to get up in the morning.

[02:02:30]

What? You got to work in the morning for what?

[02:02:32]

Okay.

[02:02:35]

I got to work, too.

[02:02:36]

Okay. Check this out. Need your advice. Please. I recently graduated from Florida state ghost seminoles. My daughter graduated from Florida state. Also my youngest. And I got a good paying job, but decided to move back with my parents in order to save money. How do I date women living at home? I don't know.

[02:03:01]

Wait, hold on. Your priorities all messed up. Think about what you just said. You went back home with your parents to save money, but you want to spend money to date women.

[02:03:19]

Now, I can see it backwards. We say women. I thought he had a woman. They ain't going to be letting you first because you're going to have to spend money. You can't bring no woman into your parents home that you're not married to, man.

[02:03:36]

Focus on that money, man. Only with the women going to be there. Focus on your money. Get your money right. Get your money right. Get your situation right. Worry about later. Man, don't do that.

[02:03:46]

You will lose money chasing women. You will never lose a woman chasing money. Now, the thing is, now, if I'm reading this correctly, I don't know how you bring a woman. So now you're going to have to get a hotel. Every time that you want to be intimate with this woman, you're going to need to get a hotel. Now, I understand the riggy stuff. You get the car. We all do. Look, car here and there. I park in the driveway and do with it, make it. They look hydraulic. It's dropping up and down. You know what saying I'm, you don't show. Ain't nothing wrong with that. This is my yard. You all ain't got no business worried about what's going on in my yard. It's private property. But I don't know how you going to pull that off. You living at home. I get it, I get it. But like you said, ocho, man, if you're trying to save money, the last thing on your mind should be women.

[02:04:41]

Think about how the first thing he asks, I move back home so I can save money. So save money and date women. Doesn't even go hand in hand. It makes no sense. It makes no sense at all. Let's focus on what's important, the saving money part, and the only way you're going to do it is locking in and having a little structure, a little discipline and understanding. The women go be there, man.

[02:05:10]

They'd be calling you. They'd be calling you. Somebody come back to these streets. No mo, you remember? You were 22, 23.

[02:05:29]

Man.

[02:05:30]

You don't say it. Ocho bad. Let me knock it to bullet, man. Ocho, I wasn't in my 20s or my 30s with social media, or I wasn't a teenager, right? It wasn't for me, ocho. It ain't for me.

[02:05:56]

Yeah.

[02:06:01]

Man, that's social media, man.

[02:06:05]

It's different. It's a different world. It's a different world. And I'm glad I have the discipline I do now.

[02:06:14]

Yeah, real been a lifesaver for you. We'd had another podcast in the streets called in the streets and listen.

[02:06:29]

Yeah, that's exactly where we would have been at in the streets. But listen, we all need it, man. We all need a little structure and discipline, and ain't nobody, ain't nobody better for you in your life that can give you a little structure and discipline and a little guidance than a woman.

[02:06:48]

Right one.

[02:06:49]

The right one.

[02:06:49]

The right one.

[02:06:50]

Yeah, man. She does wonders. It's funny. It's funny how life turned around. She came in and life. For some reason, I don't think it was. She came in my life, man. Shit, I'm all over the place now. I'm here. I'm there. I look up. They go. A billboard there. Well, goddamn, I'm watching tv with her.

[02:07:08]

Oh, shit.

[02:07:08]

They go commercial there. I mean, shit, it ain't accident. It ain't no accident. That ain't number. Faith. Working. God working.

[02:07:17]

He working on me, too.

[02:07:19]

He working.

[02:07:21]

See, I know you're looking for me to say something. I ain't like that no more. I'm changed. I'm saved.

[02:07:30]

Yeah, me and you both. Well, listen, I got baptized. This wearing off, so I'm not ready for another one off, though.

[02:07:40]

But I think I was in a different type of water than what you was in. Her name was Niagara. Niagara Falls, that is.

[02:07:54]

Yeah.

[02:07:55]

I need to stop getting baptized.

[02:07:56]

Yeah.

[02:07:58]

But I'm happy for you.

[02:08:01]

Yeah. I appreciate it. Appreciate it. It's been a long journey. It's been a long climb back up. Yeah.

[02:08:11]

It's always enough of us. 23. 23 has been great. God has been good. 24. Your boy, Shay Shaw, about to be out the dope. Your boy will be out like a scout on a new route. I'm gold.

[02:08:32]

24. Going to be beautiful, man. It's going to be beautiful. Yeah.

[02:08:38]

Right around the corner.

[02:08:41]

Yeah. Three weeks.

[02:08:46]

I can't wait.

[02:08:47]

Yeah. What are you doing for New Year's? I'm in the Bahamas for Junkanoo. Where are you at? Where are you going to be at? I'm always in the Bahamas for New Year's. For Junkanoo. The Junkanoo parade.

[02:09:01]

I don't know.

[02:09:04]

Where you going to be at when the ball drop?

[02:09:10]

How about trying to shake the COVID for Doc? No, I normally sleep, man, you ain't going to watch the ball drop? I said I'm going to watch my eyelids drop on my eyeballs. That's the only balls I'm going to watch. Drop the eyelids on them, man. I'll be going to bed, ocho. I got to get up in the morning. When is New Year's? Is that a weekend?

[02:09:33]

It's on Sunday, matter of fact, because I got to be.

[02:09:36]

I got to go to work on Monday, midnight.

[02:09:42]

I got to fly to Philly Monday.

[02:09:49]

See, ocho, I was thinking, when I moved to California, I thought that the ball dropped on the east coast. So at 09:00 they're like, nah, you got to stay up till midnight here. I say midnight and I got to be up at 03:00 I said, you all must be out there. Mind, man, they told my man, you want to go? I said, no, I thought it was going to be 09:00. I was like, okay, yeah, I went up to nine. It's like, no. I said, on the east coast, it's already midnight, but you mean to tell me I got to wait till twelve and I got to get back up at three, you all might. It ain't never happened.

[02:10:25]

It ain't happening.

[02:10:26]
