They were down by 14 points with three minutes to go. And if I'm not mistaken, teams down by 14 points with three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, had lost 767 consecutive games until tonight. The Dolphins lose 28 27. Tua played terrible the last two drives. That's on him, ocho. That's on him. He played bad. He played bad. It's 33, and he throws a swing pass seven yards behind the line of scrimmage. Bro, you push the ball down the field, you get the first down. Why would you throw a six yard route behind the line? So the guy can try to get three yards? He's down nine yards, ocho.

Yeah, we've seen that swing pass. That same pass behind the line of scrimmage, sometimes hit and sometimes go that situation.

If you're in the first, you got to think about it now, right? You're in a two minute situation. In actuality, you're in a 1 minute situation. Time is not on your side because guess what? You get tackled in and now all of a sudden. So there is no benefit in that situation when you're throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage. But give the Tennessee Titans credit, though. Give them credit ahead. Go ahead.

Definitely. Yeah, we will give the Titans credit, but this is one of the reasons. Small example on why a player by the name of Tyreek Hill belongs in the MVP conversation. Tyree kill goes out, they do nothing, and the entire offense completely changes. Yes, and it's different. It's different. The dynamic of the excitement and the energy and the, oh, my God, what's going to happen next? Or the holding your breath every time they snap the ball because you never know. What's going to happen is out the window. It's out the window. That alone today, tonight showed you how special Tyreek is to that offense and just the NFL in general on what he brings to the table when he's playing.

What tonight showed me, ocho, is when a team gets physical with the Dolphins, they bow down.

Right?

And we know one thing about the Tennessee Titans and bravel there are a physical football.

They're going to play physical.

Now, they might not win some games, but you're going to know you've been in the fight. Now, you might win the fight, but you don't want to fight him again. You've been in a situation like, oh, yeah, I got it, but damn, I don't want to fight him no more. That's what you get when you play the Tennessee Titans. He's an old school coach. I played against bravel and although he wasn't the most athletic, you knew you had a fight on your hand. He was an old school linebacker. He was tough at the point of attack. He could set the edge. He understood his responsibility be and if he was supposed to be to the flat, he was in the flat. If he's supposed to be hooked, he's going to be in the hook. If he's supposed to carry you up the scene, he's going to carry you up the scene. And if he's supposed to sit the edge, you're not going to hook him.

Yeah, every time.

He was as fundamentally sound as any backer that I've ever faced. And his teams, they don't normally beat themselves. That's that coach Belichick, and be like, look, we can't beat ourselves. Yes, it's hard enough to win football games. It's a lot harder when you beat yourself. So give them guys credit. Will Levis, 23 or 38? 327. One touchdown, one interception. Can you imagine what Deandre Hopkins could have done for the Kansas City Chiefs? Can you imagine him?

You look at the Dolphins and what we've said, we've said, ocho, we want to see them step up against competition, because anytime they played anybody that was on their level of above, they've lost. Now we see them playing a team in the Tennessee Titans, who's fighting, trying to gain some traction and get into the playoffs, and they come to their home and down 14 with three minutes to go and beat the Dolphins.

Yeah. Again. And there are so many different ways. There's so many different things that people can say. They can dissect the game. They can be critical, they can be analytical of the game and say, well, you're up by 14. You're supposed to win a game. My whole thing, as I'm going to say, is the fact that Tyree kill was not playing and the offense sputtered, the offense struggled. They didn't move the ball as efficient up and down the field as I think they should. And the big plays that they're normally used to having.

Yes.

They weren't there. They weren't there. I'm counting Tyreek, maybe two or three goddamn touchdowns. I've seen him walking with McDonald's in his hand. I say, you know what? You might as well strike up the van. You might as well strike up the van because he going for about 250 or something like that. And when I saw the ankle roll, ocho.

But think about this. To a fumbled ball at the three yard line going in.

But that's not his fault, though. Somebody missed a goddamn assignment. That dude came through. Somebody missed an assignment. That was a three step drop. He couldn't even throw.

The one thing that we're taught is that don't exacerbate a bad situation. If somebody missed their block, hold on to the ball.

Yeah.

The last thing you want to do is that because someone whipped their block, now all of a sudden you turn it over. Because at worst case scenario, we believe we take at least three points off the board. And, you know, points are in the league, especially this time of year. And so that's the one thing. But he's always been loose with the ball. Even when guys don't come clean, he's always loose with the ball. His hands, I don't think his hands are ginormous, but I think he has a problem holding onto the football when he comes in contact with the defender.

Yeah, he was getting ready to throw the ball. He was getting ready to throw it and he kind of pulled it back just a tad bit and it was still right here at the chest plate. And dude came in the time, it was too late and he couldn't even put it up. He didn't even have a chance to.

Zachary Nunn donated $10 to say unk today. You said two of Lamar Jackson for quarterback play. I think it's safe to say Lamar is the best quarterback in the AFC. It's a fluid situation. And what you do, that's one thing about sports. You have to update your we now, if Tua comes back and throws for I don't know who they play next week. I think Buffalo plays the Cowboys. They got the jet. So if Tua comes back and throw four touchdowns, Lamar throws one touchdown, are we going to go flip flop? We can't do that. It's a fluid situation based on what we have. But you have to understand now, if you'd have asked me that today, of course I'd have took Lamar like you're doing because I noticed you didn't tweet me this today. You ain't text us today. You got my handle. You never said anything until after the fact. See, you got the great, you got the magnificent science of hindsight, which is a magnificent science because, you know, based on what has already been discussed.

So coming into tonight, he was eight touchdowns and two turnovers. He had eight more passing touchdowns and two more turnovers. So I don't think it's far fetched to say that Tua had played into a standstill if not played a little better. Now, I'm not saying that the Dolphins are better than the Ravens. That was a whole different conversation. But again, Zachary, appreciate you watching Tommy DeVito, Giants defeat Giants beat the Packers 24 22. DeVito and the Giants have won three straight games. Undrafted rookie free agent Tommy DeVito marched the Giants down the field, got them in position to kick the game winning field goal. He completed Ocho four straight passes for 53 yards, including a 32 yard touchdown, a 32 yard pass down the right sideline to Wandale Robinson. The Packers lost Monday night snaps Green Bay 16 game win streak in December game the packers hadn't lost a December game since week 17, 2018, the final game before Matt LaFleur was hired as head coach.

What did you like or what didn't you like about what you saw? Let's go with the Giants. What did you like about what you saw from the Giants besides them winning the game? That's always a positive, but what did you like about the Giants?

Right. I think Tommy DeVito. Tommy DeVito coming in clutch. Tommy DeVito coming in clutch. When it mattered most, obviously numbers weren't staggering throughout the game. He was only 17 for 21 for 158. But when it mattered most, what did he do? He willed them to a win. And obviously we know in Green Bay head coach, listen, December, he's missing December. They don't lose. So obviously, if you're a gambler, man, if you're a man, who you betting on to win the game. Now, I'm sure everybody named mama had the Green Bay. They had the Green Bay packers. And Jordan love to go in there and win because of the Giants. The Giants aren't playing well. They haven't really played well all year. But Tommy DeVito has been decent. He's been somewhat efficient in trying to will them to win, and that's what.

He was able to do tonight. I don't think it's a stretch, but if you look at these last three games, it's hard for me to say that Tommy DeVito hadn't played better than Daniel Jones played at any .3 games this year. And I'm not saying he's the future. I'm not saying he's the answer. But if you look at any three game stretch that Jones played this year and you look at Danny DeVito, yes, sir. Tommy DeVito over the last three games, it's hard, ocho. It's hard to say he hasn't played better than.

That'S tough. That's tough right there. And I think even with Tommy DeVito playing somewhat well and playing somewhat decent.

Obviously getting the win, that's the same offensive line. Would it be the same offensive line that when he said Daniel Jones didn't have time to throw, those are the same receivers that Daniel Jones was throwing to that Tommy Devito somehow is finding a way to get them to football.

Yes, I have a question. Are you saying that they should?

I don't think Dave Jones is coming back this year for me, even if.

He like an actual switch.

So you talk about next year. Well, I think you put the job. Put the job up. You saw what Kyle Shanahan did. What did Kyle Shanahan do with Brock Purdy? One guy was the third. They moved heaven and earth to get him. Third pick in the draft. The other guy was a 7th rounder, Mr. Irrelevant. Okay. He said, guess what?

Well, can you still do that? Because the situation is kind of different. You just paid Daniel Jones, I think, for your 90 million or something like that. Can you still do that when you factor in the money? The money part basically tells you, no, he doesn't. Daniel Jones has no, he doesn't have.

To be the starter. This is a pay for play business. Because think about what the 49 ers, mortgage debt. Think about it. They didn't get the compensation back for what they gave up to get him. I mean, you gave up, what, three ones, a two. How do you get that? I think they got, what, a fifth or 6th from the Cowboys? I think they got a fifth or 6th round pick for coach. That's one thing about this business. It used to be like that. The high dollar guys had to play.

Yeah.

No more. No, you're always going to play.

Yeah.

They got a fourth rounder when they gave up three ones to get him. Right? Think about it. They gave up three ones. They got a fourth in return and some other compensation. But here's the thing. I move on from him. Tommy DeVito is on a rookie contract. Do you know the pieces that you can put around him and see, you remember when I told you about, we were talking about the Chicago and Justin Fields, I said, but here's why.

Right?

Because if you keep Justin Fields, you're going to have to pay him somewhere between 250 and 300 million because he's going to be in his fourth year of the contract.

He's going to be in the fourth year of his contract. But is Justin Fields in a position to be able to set the market.

Again and reset the market? That's just the going rate. That's just the going rate for a.

Going rate. The top three, top four, top five quarterbacks, the market like that, the going rate, you have to fall in line based on production.

They don't just pay you because that's. Daniel Jones got his money he got 40 million. You think Justin Field is going to take less than 40 million? Yeah, you got real quiet. He ain't taking less than 40 because guess what, ocho? I signed my deal after he signed his. Inflation, which means the prices goes up, right?

Yeah, but you have to understand, even with inflation, that there's only so much you can ask for. Because the first thing they're going to point to is they're going to point to your stats, they're going to point to your numbers. Well, listen, we can't send you too high regardless of what inflation is because we're going to look at your resume, we're going to look at your production and what you've done for us. Now, you really don't warrant what you're asking for. I don't give a fuck what inflation say. I'm just telling you from the business side of stuff.

That's why.

Look at it.

Going to the rookie. Because I believe you can build around a guy that's on a rookie contract and that's playing well other pieces around him. Now, I got DJ Moore, I got Cole Comet. Now I can go back because I'm going to have my pick and I'm going to get Carolinas, which is the number one overall pick. So guess what? Hey, I package move my pick. Hey, I come back up and get next year's pick. I go get Marvin Harrison, Jr. I'll pair him with DJ Moore, I'll pair him with Cole Comet. And now all of a sudden, I've got weapons.

Plus, that's nasty.

Yeah, and plus, based on the situation, I think the Giants could use a quarterback. I think the Raiders can use a quarterback. The Patriots could use a quarterback. The Steelers could use a quarterback. There are teams you can like somebody as a person, but as a quarterback, ain't nobody in their right mind taking kitty Pickett over Justin Fields.

I know what they need to do. I know they need to do. But I don't mean to be off topic. Talk about another team and another quarterback as far as the Steelers go, but they need to goddamn get. George Pickett's the motherfucking ball. I'm sorry for cursing, I'm sorry for cursing, but that's the only way I'm going to get my point across. And understanding the talent. The talent that he is and what I know he can do, especially coming out, they ain't using that young fellow. That the right boy. He can change the game at some.

Point in time, even though you might not get used the right way. And I understand the frustration level, the way he and Johnson, as Mike Tomlin likes to use, that's not solution based, because that type of behavior is not solving the problems it's creating and exacerbating more of a problem. Tell me.

I ain't even going to argue the fact. I just understand when it cures all.

So how does tell me.

Players at the receiver position that are extremely, extremely good and can change the game. Those are the type of players that can make.

Ocho froze. I think something happened to his wifi. Amoco. Pay your cable bill. Did you not put your credit card on file for incidental? Damn, I think he used the cheapest Internet service. Man paid $20 to get the upgrade. Ocho. Right now, as you can see, Ocho is having a little technical difficulties with his wifi. But I think Ocho, what he's trying to say is that Deontay Johnson and George Pickens, they're frustrated they're not getting the football, but they're the type of guys that can, given the football, he believes they can solve a lot of the ills and the issues that's going on with the Steelers offense. They can. But I don't understand how moping and pouting, I don't understand how that helps the problem. That's my only thing. I just believe there's a right way and a wrong way to handle everything, having played the game, and I get it, everybody handle situation in crises, or I wouldn't even consider this a crises, but everybody handles situations different. And the way I handle situations might not be the way ocho handles situations, might not be the way a receiver, or b receiver, or c receiver at someplace else, how they handle that situation.

But my thing was always try to remain positive. Make sure that. Try to lead by example, understanding that, hey, yeah, I want to catch the football. And I do believe that, you know, given the opportunity, I can make plays, but it doesn't always work out like that. So we'll see what happens with the Steelers. But right now, they got bigger issues than wide receivers. Their quarterback play has been abysmal. Kenny Pickett, I do not believe is the answer. Like I said, I believe the Steeler fans are ready to pick it. Him playing and Trubisky is not much better. And the mere fact that someone thought that Mitchell Trubisky was better than Deshaun Watson when they played in the same conference, and Deshaun Watson went to back to back national championship games and won the final in a walk up play. Do you see Patrick Mahomes? I understand the Chiefs. Now, that was a big risk for the Chiefs, moving up from 27 to ten to take Patrick Mahomes. But Andy saw something, says, you know what? With this guy, we can really expand this offense because they were really good with Alex Smith. They had Tyreek, had Travis Kelsey.

They had some players. But they said, you know what? We can be Kareem Hunt. We can even be better if we had a quarterback that's willing to push the ball down the. Know, I used to call Alex Smith, check down Alex. But when they got Patrick Mahomes, this offense went to another level. We got ocho back yet? Ocho, log off and log back on. See what's going on with Ocho. Well, until Ocho gets back, Deshaun Jackson is feeling disrespected by the Eagles. Djack, number ten, is currently being worn by a punter. Djack told Kay Adams. Man, you see that? That's disrespectful, low key. You got a punter wearing djack number. Oh, my gosh. Man. I guess I'm not as special as I thought I was. I don't necessarily believe it's that Djack, but did you want him to? There's only, I think, what? Ten jerseys that's retired. I think there's only ten jerseys. I mean, you're looking at Reggie White, you're looking at Tom Brokeshire. You're looking at Donovan McNabb. You're looking at rest his soul. Excuse me? Rest his soul, Reggie White. Also concrete Charlie. Chuck McNarick. Rest his soul. Jerome boogie Brown. We know what tragically happened.

He was well on his way. He was one of the premier defensive linemen when he tragically lost his life in a car accident. Van Buren. I think he still has the record for the most passive yards in a game, right? 554. I think that's the record. I mean, look, I get it. All of us that we played and we had success at a team, sometimes we overvalue ourselves. And sometimes I think we think we're more important than we actually are. But I do think Djack is worthy of being in the ring of fame, ring of honor. And I think that's going to happen. But, Djack, don't take it as a slight, because the year I left, they gave my number. What? They gave 84 away, too. I was a four time first team All Pro, seven Pro Bowls and a two time Super bowl champ, and they gave my number to a guy. So it happens. DJ, don't. Don't let that ruffle your feathers, bro. You are a great Eagles player. You long to be remembered an all Pro at two different positions. You are all pro at wide receiver and punt returner in the same season.

Not very many guys can say that. So you have a lot to be proud of for what you accomplished in Philly and so they're going to love you. And I promise you, every time they see the number ten they thinking Djack. Even though somebody is wearing that number, they're definitely thinking Deshaun Jackson back yet? Can we see what's going on? We reached out. Kyle Shanahan targeted DK Metcalf. Kyle Shanahan encouraged his players to try to set DK off and try to get him to lose his cool in Sunday's game. Shanahan even prepared a set of video clips for his team that showed DK losing his cool in previous games. Shanahan told his players, we will get 14 to lose his mind Christmas present for whomever gets it. Wow. And I think DK understands that he's going to have to do a better job of controlling his temper because that's the word on the street. You can get DK frustrated and get him to get unsportsman like conduct penalties and there's never a situation in which an unsportsman like conduct penalty helps your team. Actually, it hurts your team. And in that situation he got kicked out of the ball game and I understand he took a starting corner with him.

But I think DK is a bigger loss than Damador or Lenore and you have to understand that. You have to understand the risk reward. They're losing their 2nd 3rd corner, you're losing your number one receiver. But DK is definitely going to have to do a better job of controlling his temper. And I get the frustration and I get that he didn't know that Warner, Fred Warner had actually laddered the football. He's just trying to tackle it.

I did as much talking throughout the week. I did as much talking as I could in pregame to try to get in guys'heads. If I can get you to engage with me in any way, whether it be nice, whether it be mean, then I know I have you beat a little bit. That gives me a little edge. Physically, you might be better than me, but I need to beat you in the middle game. That's where I'm going to win. I'm a beach in the middle game. If I can get ahead just a little bit and throw you off a rigor just a tad bit, that means I got you. That's the way I went about it. As far as, I mean, you got to understand the defenses I had to play against. Uncle, man, the 2000 Ravens, some 2000 Steelers, man, even the Cleveland Browns. Look, I would be remiss if I didn't mention my six years and nine months at undisputed and skip giving me an opportunity because that's kind of where it started. I was able to formulate a personality, become relatable, and so I really appreciate undisputed and skip giving me an opportunity. And then Stephen a come in and I've only worked with Stephen a for about four months and him giving me an opportunity. And if you notice, I'm getting more and more comfortable, so I'm starting to be more and more like the Shannon that they saw in undisputed.

And then you and I get together. You and I have been working together for a little over three. There's a lot that went into this. And although I'm number one, I couldn't have done this without skip. I could not have done this without, look, Cam and mace on here as a duo. Actually, they're the only duo on here. So we definitely need to be. We need to be, and I got no problem with that.

And I want Pat McAfee, having been around him a little while and talked to him. I want him to succeed, to show that this model can be successful. So the bigger. So the more successful he becomes that let guys that's in the space, like you and I, that, hey, maybe there's a potential run that we could. But if it doesn't happen, ocho, I'm cool with this being. But here's the thing.

I know what's going to happen. Anything you touch, anything you touch, anything I've touched, anything you've ever touched, it turns a goal. Whatever vision you have, it always comes to the fruition. Now, when you put both of us together, now, the dynamic due on what we've been able to create in such a short amount of time needs to be a study done at Harvard, because it's never been done this fast before, ocho.

You never know how you treat somebody today and the position that they're in tomorrow. I had a young lady. I met her 20 plus years ago. 20. We kept in contact. Hey, Shannon. We having a conversation, would you be interested?

Deal got done. 20 years. Might talk to her once every four years. But she remembered she was at an entry level. Her job was to come and to show me around and help things like that. But she got a higher job now, and she remembered how Shannon Sharp treated her, even though I was in the NFL, how I was. She said, you know what? He didn't look down on me because I was in the position that I was in. That's how I say, be careful how you treat people because you never know.

Yeah. Especially when you're high up. Especially when you winning. Normally when you're winning and you got money and things are going really well, going really well for you, people tend to act funny. They move differently, because when people have wealth and money, you feel like you're invincible for some reason. You feel like, is you against the world. Can't nobody tell you nothing at all. And sometimes you treat people bad. Sometimes you treat people bad because you feel you're better than others. I've never, ever, and I think this is a funny story. And this go for people in the chat. This is go for people in the chat. I'm sure there are people that have crossed paths with me at some point that might be watching. I have a thing that I'm known for doing, and I've been doing it for years, even when I was playing, is I have a thing for telling people I love you. Obviously, I tweeted every day, but if you ever met me in public, I tell people I love you. And everybody get a hug, and I introduce myself and act like I've known them for 30 years and I ain't seen them and I ain't never seen them a day in my life.

But I always like to make people feel like you. Yeah, I always like to make people feel like I know them or they've known me for years. Because obviously, during my playing days, the media vilified me and I bought into it and being the villain. So I just like the people show. I like to show people my true colors and my other side, that really is me, you know, the fun, the loving, the playful. People walk up to me and like, man, listen, I ain't want to bother you before he can finish talking, man, bring it here, man. Give me a fuck a hug. What have you been at all these years, man? Yeah, just making people feel good.

I think that's how you was raised. I just remember my grandmother always treat people with respect for me. Ocho, I've never even from. And I think because I didn't have a whole lot. And even as I started to accumulate, I never thought I was better than someone else. I might think I could do my job better than you could do your job, but that doesn't think I'm better than you because I have more than you. I might think I'm better at what I do as opposed to what you do better than what you do. But I don't think I'm better than you because I have. Because I'm on television, because I played in the NFL, because I got a gold jacket. No, I'm not better than you because of that. Now I think I do what I do right now on television. I don't think there's very many people out there. I don't think there's anybody that can do what I do better than what I do. But that's just the way I was raised. And my grandmother's greatest enjoyment, it wasn't that she had two grandboys that made it to the NFL, that graduated college, that was making millions.

Her greatest enjoyment, when people came and said, mary, you did a great job with them boys. Because everybody. That's a southern thing. That's how they respect. They ain't really. I don't remember ever being called my name. I thought my name was boy. Hey, Mary, what them boys at? Mary, them boys, Barney. What about them boys? So that's just the way. And I was like, you know what? That's my grandmother's crowning achievement.

You're reflecting. You were reflecting how you turn out and how you operate. Once you go on from under that umbrella in that nest is reflection.

I'm a reflection of Marion, Barney Porter. I'm a reflection of. I grew up in Glenville. I'm a reflection of Savannah State. I'm proud because I'm one of their brightest. I understood no matter what transpired. He went to Savannah State. He's from Glenville, Georgia. He was raised by his grandparents. My mom, man, my mom called me. Well, now, she just. The days of three and 15 things. I want this, this, those are over. Except my son, who's married. Hell, the girls, they get damn near everything they want anyway during the year.

Okay. All right. For me, obviously, I have a tribe. I have a tribe. All of mine combined together. But the fact that we are in that social media area, social media era of wanting to be flashy and have this and portray this image of doing this. You know what's funny? Those I have kids from have done one hell of a job because my kids haven't got caught up in that lifestyle of having to have the latest of the latest or to look like, oh, well, I got to look a certain way because of who my daddy is. And they never got caught up in that. So they look far. They look great. They're really good at. What's the word I'm looking for? It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it. So when times like this come around and I look at the Christmas list and it's like 1314 items on one, I ain't got no problem. I ain't got no problem getting everything because we go the whole eleven months, they barely asked me for nothing. So come times like this, I'm excited because this is one of the few times of the year where I actually spend some damn money.

You always said don't be cheap with myself, right? But that's how I always been. But Christmas time. Yeah.

I think the faith.

I can't wait to somebody else take my role like a husband. That's what I'm thinking.

But I think the thing is for the kids, look, as long as you don't give your mom, because I know you're not going to give me no problem, because I stay the one thing I've always done a great job. I told all my kids, I say, our dynamic won't ever change. I said, I'm always going to be your dad. You're always going to be the child. I said, even if I'm old and feeble and you got to take care of me, the dynamic will never change. I said, I don't ask for it. I demand your respect, because I've done too much for you not to respect it. I said, look, I'm going to treat you like an adult, and we can agree. You ask me my opinion, I'm going to give you my honest opinion. But at the end of the day, you grown, you make your own decision. But I demand that you respect me. I demand that you respect your mom. And that's all I ask for you. That's all I ask from you, is to respect me and your mom right now. Your mom called and say she got a problem. Then you're going to have a problem with me.

You're going to have a big ass problem with me, right? No.

Because their mama pick up the phone and say, well, I'm having a problem with such and such. Put them on the phone. Okay. Now what's the problem?

I'm the last resort. It got to be something real serious for somebody to pick up the phone and call me. It got to be real.

Everything that you wanted. I mean, we rolling dice, man. We win the dice game and they get these little electric scooters, man. I think I spent like $3,000 on them electric scooters. Got my girlfriend to send them to them. The mama said, they can't have these.

Shannon, they ain't never driven anything in their life. The kids gonna end up hurting themselves. I said, okay, we'll sell it. Sell it just like that?

You say I get them something and you say, they can't have it. I'm not going back and forth with you. You say, they're not qualified to have it, sell it. What am I arguing about? Stuff like that you around them more than I, so you know their capabilities more than I do. I got no problem with that. I'm not going to go back and forth with you about, no, I bought it. I'm their dad. It was never none of that. It was never that type of disagreement. Did we disagree? Absolutely, of course. But as I started to get older and the kids started to get older, it wasn't that big of a deal. Ocho, once you realized that, you know what? We ain't doing number hurting the kids. I said, we argue about petty stuff. Is it really that serious? Is it really that serious? They're like, nah.

It takes very mature woman, or it takes mature woman to actually get to that point where they don't want to argue about nothing because it's a waste of time. Because sometimes you always ask in the chat, if you're married, if you have a boy, if you have a girlfriend or you got a spouse, ask them, you want to be happy or you want to be right, which one you want to be? You want to be happy or you want to be right? Because you can't get both.

Sometimes Ocho is better to be wrong and keep the peace than to be right and cause an argument. And once I realized that it was okay. See, guys, it ain't that big of a deal.

Come on.

Actually arguing about. Because when we created this, there was no argument. What? No argument. But now what? Come on, now. Because at the end of the day, you know, I'm going to always do. Yeah, I'm disappointed that you put me through this, but I'm always going to do right by the kids. Always. And so it wasn't always like this. It took some growing on my part and said, you know what? Because I had to be right, ocho. No, you're not going to get the upper hand on me. F that I spend my going to let you get the upper hand. I was like, you know what? It ain't worth it. It ain't worth it. And so now we got great relationship.

That's growth.

Happy Father's Day, happy Mother's Day. I always ask the kids, how your mom doing? They're doing good. But it took a process to get to where we got, ocho, because, you know, I'm playing football, I'm trying to be the best I can, and I'm feeling like y'all trying to attack me, y'all trying to take advantage of me. And maybe that wasn't the case, but I grew up fighting, so I ain't got no problem fighting and not physically fighting, but fighting for what I believe.

Now, a lot of people do it now, Ocho, but I was the first to sit across from a journalist and do this every day. But I knew I had to be exemplary, because people that know me know how hard I work, know how much I study, and if he couldn't do it well, who's going to do it? So it cost me relationships, because when I should have been going home, Ocho, to be with my partner, I wanted to stay because in the process of me flying, I was going to miss, or I was going to miss something. So, no, I sacrificed that to be good for others, because I wanted to show we weren't dumb jocks.

Be your football, be baseball or basketball. We're more than that. That's what you know us for, but that's not who I am. And so that was my process, and it cost me two relationships.

Was all while they understood. But I wanted to be great at this. I wanted to be better at this than I was at football, because football became football was natural. Yes, I'm quick with it. Yes, I can add lib. Yes, I'm percival. Yes, I'm relatable. But to be able to remember, ocho, you don't listen to always to respond. You listen to understand. So now, not only was I having it, because now it's more conversational, little less debate in a debate format. Now, I got what I want to say, but I got to punch holes in your argument also. So I got to listen intelligent, what you say, punch holes in that, all while retaining the information and getting my point out also. Now I got to hold information. I got all the knowledge, everything, to spit out LeBron, to spit out bird, to spit out magic, to spit out Jordan, to spit out Brady and Manning and this guy stat. That guy, stat. And baseball and basketball and track and field and social issues, and in 1968 and in 1948 and this and that. Yeah, it's not as easy as you think because everybody, when that red dot going on that camera, everybody can't talk on cue.

And I got a producer in my ear. Turn it over to him. Make sure you get that pointing. Also, because I had great. Steve Owens was my first producer that produced my part of the show at undisputed. And then I got ash right now, the CP right here, bro. She made sure they made sure I was prepared because I said, okay, this is what I want to say. And it says okay. And I'm like, okay, what do you think he's going to say? So now we got to formulate ocho. We staying up 2 hours, 3 hours. Now, remember, I got to be to work at 04:00 a.m. Lebron James comes to the Lakers. The game is going off at 1030. 11:00 now we're having conversation after the game, and we're talking, okay, if I say this, what you think? What's his retort? So I've got to hold all that information for ten blocks. What I think he's going to say also, so I can count. But I also got to get my amb points in also. And so I've been very fortunate to have been surrounded by great people that although I'm in front of the camera, it's the people behind the camera.

CJ with club Shayshe does a great job of I think this person will be good. I think this person will be good. I think you should reach out to that person. Coming up with questions like, let's go in this direction. I think we should start here and go there. I think we should start there and go here. Ash coming up with topics on this, making sure for first take, she got a lot on the plate. She got a lot on the plate. But from the very first time, and I told her, I told her the very first time I met her, I said, if I get a show and if I ever leave undisputed, you're coming with me. Summarize my 2023, man. It's been a blessing. It's been a blessing for me. Obviously, I've come a long way. I've come a long way, man. And I would have never envisioned life for me to be where it is now. It's been good. I'm thankful, obviously, the kids are doing well. Those that are in college, the Mrs. Doing well. Everything is going really well. It's going really well. And I just obviously thankful for you as well for allowing me to have this opportunity to be on here on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. I enjoy it. Gives me an opportunity to talk and show another side of me at times, and then also my authentic and organic side as well. So my 2023 has been amazing, and I'm hoping that it carries right on over into 2024.

My 2023 has been more than amazing. Even in my wildest dreams, I didn't envision all of this. Well, first of all, I didn't envision the situation that happened at undisputed. But my sister used to always tell me, boy, sometimes God closes doors. He already has one already open. And he said, sometimes God will open door, can't no man close. And sometimes he'll close the door. Can't no man open. She said, just be ready. My 2023 has been great because I'm in a position now that I can help other people. And that's what I'm trying to do, is to build up while giving people opportunities. Just like someone helped me, my job is to help someone else. 2023 has been amazing, and it's only going to get better. Like you said, 2023 is ending with a bang. But we're going to roll this thing right over to 2024. And we got a late start because ocho people don't realize this. We threw this thing together in a matter of days. Hey, ocho, man. Ocho. Hey. I called Doug. I've been knowing Doug since Doug. Doug fresh out of college. That's how long I know Doug. Doug was fresh out of college.

Dan said, bro, he's supposed to be watching me. I'm looking for him. He on the dance floor. I called Doug. I said, hey, check this out. I want to run something about Ocho. He like, funny man. Ocho already. Ocho in Cali right now. Hey, you think we can do lunch? Like, yeah, I heat him up next day. Hey, bro, I got this idea. I'm thinking about doing x, y, and z. He's like, let's do it.

That's how it happened. I would love to tell you we had some elaborate that we were sitting down and we've been talking about this for months and months. In two days, we put this together, and that's what happened. So now, and no sponsors and not a whole lot of ads, but now, after people seeing what we do, they're like, okay, we want to be a part of that. And we welcome the opportunity for someone to be a part of what we have growing. And so 2023 has been great. 2024 is going to be even better. All glory be to God, because without him, none of this is possible. And without you guys, because you make it possible and you make it worthwhile. Now, I can see it backwards. We say women. I thought he had a woman. They ain't going to be letting you first because you're going to have to spend money. You can't bring no woman into your parents home that you're not married to, man.

Focus on that money, man. Only with the women going to be there. Focus on your money. Get your money right. Get your money right. Get your situation right. Worry about later. Man, don't do that.

You will lose money chasing women. You will never lose a woman chasing money. Now, the thing is, now, if I'm reading this correctly, I don't know how you bring a woman. So now you're going to have to get a hotel. Every time that you want to be intimate with this woman, you're going to need to get a hotel. Now, I understand the riggy stuff. You get the car. We all do. Look, car here and there. I park in the driveway and do with it, make it. They look hydraulic. It's dropping up and down. You know what saying I'm, you don't show. Ain't nothing wrong with that. This is my yard. You all ain't got no business worried about what's going on in my yard. It's private property. But I don't know how you going to pull that off. You living at home. I get it, I get it. But like you said, ocho, man, if you're trying to save money, the last thing on your mind should be women.

Think about how the first thing he asks, I move back home so I can save money. So save money and date women. Doesn't even go hand in hand. It makes no sense. It makes no sense at all. Let's focus on what's important, the saving money part, and the only way you're going to do it is locking in and having a little structure, a little discipline and understanding. The women go be there, man.

I was like, okay, yeah, I went up to nine. It's like, no. I said, on the east coast, it's already midnight, but you mean to tell me I got to wait till twelve and I got to get back up at three, you all might. It ain't never happened.
