That's right, 512. Please make sure you subscribe to Nightcamp Podcast feed. You can also listen to it through the club, Shay-Shay. But make sure... Hey, as a matter of fact, go ahead and hit both of them. Go and subscribe to both of them. Go to Shay-Shay feed and the Nightcap feed. It would be greatly appreciated. Do us a favor. Make sure you subscribe to Nightcap. We've also pinned Shay by LaPortee's link at the top of the page, the holidays, vastly approaching. They're closer than you actually think. Go out and get yourself a bottle or someone that you love. Let's jump right into it, Ocho. The Rams beat the Saint. The Saints, Derrick Card, Matthew Stafford. Both throw for 300 yards. Matthew Stafford, 24-34, 3-28, two touchdowns. Rams running back. Kyron Williams ended the game with 104 scrimage yards. His sixth straight game in which Williams had posted at least 100 yards from scrimage. Time for the second longest streak this season only behind, C-mat, Christian McAfree, seven.

[00:04:42]

What did you like about what you saw.

[00:04:44]

From the Rams tonight? Listen, what I saw from the Rams is a goddamn pook-a-n-cool.

[00:04:48]

Oh, pook-a. Pook-a.

[00:04:49]

A goddamn pook-a-n-cool. Hoopa Cup and Brother Robinson. Yeah. Listen, that trio is some special. That trio is something special. And we're going to get to it a little later on. With Puget and the cool and having the success that he's having, there's another topic of another receiver we're going to talk about later on in the show. But obviously, my allegiance will always be to receivers when I see success, especially from the quarterback position and when a team like that is winning. What Puget and the cool was able to do tonight, especially as a rookie, which he's done all season long, is be consistent. And his play is phenomenal. Stafford, listen, he made some throws. He didn't even step into some of the throws, and he on the money. He's siding on him. He's siding on the throws. Man, listen, they look good, man. Even though they're seven and seven, now eight and seven, the Rams are a team I think you don't want to see offensively when they get into the playoffs. That's a team that you don't want to see that's hitting their stride at the right time and at the right moment.

[00:05:53]

I think the thing that really helps them is Kyrin Williams' ability to run the football. Now they can play action off of that and hit Cooper Cup, hit Robinson, hit Puka-Nakua, Higgby. It was very solid, tight in. They're a very dangerous team offensively because of the multidimensions, the multifaceted, what they do running the football, play action off of that. Sean McVeigh is very creative, a lot of different sense, a lot of motion, gets your eyes going a lot of different directions. They're playing extremely, extremely well right now. The 49ers played them. I think the last game of the season, I think the 49ers played them. That could be a dangerous game for the 49ers because they're a division opponent. They're very familiar with each other.

[00:06:37]

So go ahead. I have a question for you. If they do play the 49ers, would it be in the last game of the season? With the 49ers obviously going to the playoff, do the 49ers rest their starters?

[00:06:48]

No, because they're going to probably have to have that game. Now, it all depends, because they might need that game to make sure they secure home field advantage, because you won't home field throughout the entirety of the playoff. Now, if one of these teams loses again, let's say the Cowboys lose again, we'll see where it goes. Because right now, at the top of my head, Ojo, they have the best record at 11 and three. So we don't know. But if they lose another game, what is the conference record going to look like? We know Dallas has lost to the Eagles and they lost to the 49ers in the conference. We know that the Eagles have lost to the cowboys and the 49ers and the Seahawks in the conference. That's three conference losses for the Eagles. That's two conference losses for the cowboys. I think the 49ers have lost to, I know they lost to Cleveland, which is an AFC team. Who are the other teams they lost to? The Vikings. The Vikings, which is an NFC team.

[00:07:46]

Right.

[00:07:49]

That was a Monday night game. That's what I'm saying. Yes, 9ers. Who are the 9ers lost to? The Bingles. They theoretically could, for the simple fact, they lost to the Bingles, they've lost to the Cleveland Browns. That's two non-conference versus the one conference versus the two versus the three. Because they own the head-to-head matchup against the Eagles and the Cowboys, theoretically, as long as they go ahead and they don't lose them. But what's the Cowboys? The Cowboys lost three games, right? Cowboys lost to the Eagles, the 49ers, the Cardinals, and the Bills. They're four. They're good. Right. As long as they only have four losses, they're going to be straight. They're going to be straight because they own the head-to-head versus the Cowboys, head-to-head versus the Eagles. But I was very impressed with what I saw with the Rams tonight. Like I said, if you've seen the resurgence, it's come at the direct time that Kyrin Williams has started running the football a lot more effective.

[00:08:53]

Yeah. The funny thing about it is usually when you think about today's game, you think about today's game, this is a happy, the past happy League. It's a past happy League. Normally during my era, obviously your era too, one of the things that Marvin Lewis always harped on is we're going to run the ball. We're going to run the ball to open up the pass. Yes. When you think about it in today's game, they throw the ball so goddamn much. Sometimes the runner game, it really isn't effective to no point. But the fact that he can run the ball the way he can and it can help offensively with play action, draw those linebackers in with him running the ball successfully as he did tonight. That is why the receivers were able to get off, because now you put the demons in the bind. Right. Because they can hit you either way, pick your poison. They can kill you on the run, or they can kill you with the pass. When both are going well, shit, it's a goddamn toss-up.

[00:09:42]

If you look at the 49ers, they got Krista McAfrey. You see how fluid that offense moves? Unfair. Look at the Buffalo Bills since the emergence of James Cook. James Cook, yeah. Look at the Miami Dolphins with A-Chain and Mustard. You see teams that can run the football, pose a threat to run the football, how it opens up the passing game, as opposed to teams that all they really do is struggle. I think that's what happened a lot to the Eagles. The Eagles can't run the football nearly as well as they ran it last year. I think DeAndre Swift is having a better season, can run the ball better than Miles Sanders. But for whatever the reason, the offensive line is not as strong, especially at the point of attack, running the football like they were last year, also the turnovers. Because when you turn the ball over, you take a possession away. If you turn it over on first down, you don't get to see what to do on second or third down. You turn it over on second down, you don't see what you get to do on third down. Jaylen Hurst is double the interceptions and double the fumbles.

[00:10:44]

He had eight total turnovers all of last year. He's at 17 with three games to go. That shows me a little of why the offense doesn't look quite like it did last year. Plus, I still think he's dinged. Most quarterbacks, unless they've had an injury, don't put a knee brace on in the middle of the season. Normally, if you start the season with a knee, like Manning and braided, a lot of those guys, they've had knee injuries, they feel comfortable wearing that knee brace. Normally, guys don't come out there with no knee brace, and then at some point in time during the season, put one on if they're healthy because they are restrictive if you're not used to wearing it.

[00:11:27]

Question for you. What do the saints do from here? Obviously, they fall to seven and eight. Their remaining schedule is the Buccaneers and the Falcons, so they've already lost two in the division already. What do the saints do from here? Are they still in contention? There'll be a wild.

[00:11:42]

Card, maybe? Let's see. Could they still win the division? They're going to need some help, though.

[00:11:49]

Yeah, that division is bad, man.

[00:11:50]

Yeah, it is. I mean, probably eight, nine, maybe nine and eight. Probably nine and eight to win that division, Ojo. Right. I don't see any of those because I think Tampa has the best record in that division. What are they? Seven and seven. Seven and seven. No, seven and eight. Tampa, seven and eight? No. Seven and eight, yeah. I mean, it's still close.

[00:12:19]

That division, basically, that's a toss-up. It is. It's a toss-up based on the final stretch of the season based on what they can do.

[00:12:28]

Yeah. Mostard. Are you okay? He has time for the most touchdowns with Krista McAfrey with 20 total Scrimmys touchdowns. Ojo, we got something that we got to talk about here.

[00:12:42]

What happened?

[00:12:44]

George Pickens-.

[00:12:46]

That's my guy.

[00:12:47]

George Pickens, baby. -admitted to not wanting to block to avoid injury. Jaylen Warren, the guy that he was supposed to be watching, blocking for. Some people played the game different. If I was in that position, I would have blocked for him. But we played differently. In the words of Rick and Riccardo, like he's to Lucy, somebody got some planning to do. Yeah.

[00:13:14]

Hey, listen, I love Pik. I love Pik. I love George to death. I love him to death. As a receiver, as a former receiver, what I've always wanted to do is I've always wanted to block for my runnerbacks. Whether it be Rudy Johnson? Would it be whether it be Cory Dillon, whether it be Cedric Benson? Always. Now, I'm not known as a blocker. I wasn't physically imposing. That's not what I did. But what I did do is I would get to somebody way and make sure and give my guy a two-way go. You can go inside, you can go outside. Sometimes I didn't even have to touch nobody. I just run two people off. I just run two people off. In that situation with George Pickens, because they are losing, have a losing record, they're not having a good season based on the standard in which we hold the Stealers too, everything is magnified. Everything is magnified. Two weeks ago, we had Deante Johnson not blocking. This week, we got George Pickens, loafing, running back. Okay, loafing-.

[00:14:16]

Thank you.

[00:14:17]

-not blocking. Again, his reasoning for not blocking was similar to that of the reason how Teng Dale got hurt, being in a Scrum a little bit and having people roll up on him. But there was no effort on that play. There was no effort at all on that play. George, I know you're going to see this, baby. I love you to death, but you can't do that. I understand what he's going through right now. To me, how I view George Pickens, and I would hope how some of you view George Pickens coming out of college, that is a transcending talent. One of the best, if not the best, coming out in the draft that year. I don't think there was anybody better than him. I see him as a player that can change the dynamic of a franchise, especially offensively, from the receiver position. I'm not saying what he did was okay, but I think for George Pickens, they have underutilized him to the point where he's become demoralizing, it has hampered his confidence and his want to to even be out there on the field and contributing as much as he can. That is a result of what I think we saw.

[00:15:24]

I disagree. Let me tell you why. If you think that was the first time that he had done that, he had done that. He done this when they were winning. Deante Johnson has done this when they're winning. So you think Sunday was the first time that he chose not to block in the game.

[00:15:40]

Okay, that's a good one. I'm glad you said that this is the first time. This is probably not the first time he chose not to block in the game, but this is the first time it's been brought to everyone's attention. It's been magnified on a higher scale where we.

[00:15:54]

All can see. Because, hello, what's my famous quote to you? You never there. If you accept anything in a win, you wouldn't have a loss. So when you were doing this when you were winning and you accepted it, what's the problem now?

[00:16:07]

Right. Listen, what they got to do now is George has to figure out a way. Deante Johnson has to figure out a way. Listen, we have a problem in Pittsburgh. We have a problem in Pittsburgh. The eye and the sky don't lie, and everybody is watching. They're going to be critical and analytical of every little thing you do. So wouldn't what did George and Deante needed to do? Don't be the problem. Be the solution. You have a quarterback carousel. You have inconsistency play at the quarterback position. That means Deante, Johnson, and George Pickens have to be on 10 every single time. They got to do everything right every single time because every little thing is magnified because the season is not going as good as it should.

[00:16:52]

Can I ask you a question? Yes, sir. What you call 10 passes.

[00:16:56]

For.

[00:16:57]

200 yards?

[00:16:59]

Wait, if I got 200 yards, I don't need 10 passes. Just give me about six. Six passes is enough.

[00:17:05]

Let me ask you a question. You got six passes for 200 yards?

[00:17:09]

Yeah.

[00:17:09]

Your paycheck was probably $75,000. No. When you caught three passes for 25 yards, your check was 75,000. What's the difference? You didn't get paid by the catch. You didn't get paid by the yard.

[00:17:25]

Right.

[00:17:25]

Why are these guys doing what they're doing? You say they're frustrated because they're not catching. Their paycheck indicate they're getting paid the same regardless.

[00:17:32]

You.

[00:17:33]

See what happens?

[00:17:34]

I like that point. But you're getting paid, right? You're getting paid, right? Yes. You're getting paid to be utilized. You're getting paid to catch balls. You're getting paid to catch touchdowns. Now, one thing I know about George Pickens, we see flashes of brilliance. We see flashes of a transcending talent that is being underutilized, because every time I turn around, goddamn George has hit his head off the goddamn goal post all the time, but they don't use him enough. This is me from the outside looking in. I don't watch enough of the stealers to be able to make a fair assessment on them, and it's totally. I'm just saying from what I see-.

[00:18:17]

Because you know why? Hold on, wait.

[00:18:19]

Let me put up my computer about to go dead. Hold on, baby. I'm in the game now. Come on. What are we going to tell you? We're going to be on here three hours a night.

[00:18:32]

I'm feeling good. But you see the problem? Because George Piggins and Deonte Johnson only sees their worth and score and touchdown. They don't see they add any value any other place other than scoring, other than catching passes.

[00:18:44]

So what about- No, you can't say that. You can't say that. You can't say that. Why did they block then? Why did they block?

[00:18:51]

Don't put that on him. I just.

[00:18:53]

Said that. Okay, since you're defending them, why didn't they block?

[00:18:57]

No, you can't say I'm defending them. I said what they did wasn't right. I said what they did.

[00:19:02]

Wasn't right. I said they see their value as catching passes, scoring touchdowns. They don't see adding value as blocking and the running back scoring touchdowns. So again, I reiterate to you, why didn't they block?

[00:19:18]

On those specific plays where they didn't block? I can't answer that. Yes, you can. I can't answer that. I can't answer because I'm not in their shoes. I just gave you.

[00:19:26]

An assessment. The man said he didn't because he didn't want to get hurt. Did not hear him to say that?

[00:19:30]

Come out of his mouth. Yeah.

[00:19:32]

What do you mean? You don't know why.

[00:19:34]

He did block. Wait, then I gave you an example on what just happened not too long ago with one of the great ones over there in Houston getting rolled up when I understood what he's saying. But what you can do is you can block and keep your feet moving. Keep your feet moving, keep them thang chopping. If you feel someone coming up under you, you get up.

[00:19:52]

Out of there. Ojo, you're in the wrong business. If you're worried about getting hurt playing professional football, you're in the wrong sport. You can't say, Man, I'm afraid of getting thrown off, and say, I'm a professional bull rider. That's a part of it. You can't say, Man, how do you become a vet if you're scared of blood? How do you become a trauma surgeon if you're scared of blood? How do you say, I'm going to be a life garden, man, damn, I'm scared of this water. You can't. So if you're going to play football, you can't say, I'm afraid of injury. That's a part of it, O'chow.

[00:20:26]

Right. I know it is. Listen, you're screaming at me. Like I said it. I was just giving you maybe a reason on why I think he didn't block. He said what he said, and then I just add a little bit more context to it about the frustration that he might be feeling about not being able to be as productive as he thinks he should. That's all. I'm not saying what he did is right.

[00:20:49]

I'm.

[00:20:50]

Not saying what he.

[00:20:51]

Did is right. I get that. The best thing that I love about me is that I have this great thing called recall. I remember you telling me that receivers go out there. You said, receivers are not supposed to care who the quarterback is. You got an if and job to do. So if he got a job to do, what doesn't matter whether or not he's catching passes.

[00:21:13]

Right. I said that. I said that when I first started. I said it when I first started. I said, George, baby, you got to go out there and play no matter whether you're catching balls or not. You got to hold your head up. You got to pick your chin up because you can't see me going if you got it down. I said that. I didn't say it in those words.

[00:21:30]

But you said he was frustrated. That's why he didn't do it. You offered an explanation for why he did it. It's supposed to be offered without explanation.

[00:21:39]

Yeah. I'm just telling you why. I'm telling you why. I'm a receiver. Why is it important? I know that body language.

[00:21:45]

I know that. But here, what I'm trying to tell you- I know that body language. I'm telling you what it is.

[00:21:49]

I'm not saying it's right.

[00:21:52]

-the reasons that you're giving that he's underutilized, he's not getting the ball, the quarterback played, that's unimportant.

[00:22:01]

Oh, it's unimportant. Right. But I'm giving you reasons on why it probably happened. Don't do me.

[00:22:05]

Like that. There can't be a reason why.

[00:22:07]

It happened.

[00:22:07]

Let me ask you a question. Now, what is like the office of the line to say, you know what? The running back said, Man, they ain't let me run the ball, so I'm going to miss this block and let the quarterback get hit in the back of his head.

[00:22:20]

You cool with that? No, I'm not cool with that, but you jump on me. I'm just giving you reasons on why it's probably happening. Again, I'm not saying it's okay.

[00:22:27]

Let me tell you why it's happening.

[00:22:28]

I'm just the A, B and C. You know what? This is how you're probably feeling. His frustrations, he's latched out, he's angry, he's upset. That shit can be demoralizing, and you can lose your confidence based on being underutilized, knowing that you can help.

[00:22:44]

I'm going to take it a step further. Let me tell you why it's happening, because Mike Tomlin has allowed it. There are two things at play here. Either he's coaching that type of behavior, or he's condoning that type of behavior. Now- Whoa, whoa.

[00:22:56]

Whoa, whoa. Mike Tomlin does not control grown men. He does not control grown men. Let's not put that on the coach.

[00:23:06]

Let's not put that on the coach. You either coach it, or you condone it. I'll give you some examples. We know Mike Thomas not.

[00:23:14]

Condoning it. We know Mike Thomas not condoning it. We know Mike.

[00:23:15]

Thomas not condoning it. We know Mike Thomas, talk about Antonio Brown, Chase Claypool, Deonte, Johnson, Mark Tavius, Brown, George Pickin, San Antonio Holmes. Why is it I just gave you six, seven names.

[00:23:27]

And it's all- Good ones too. You gave me six good ones, too. You didn't just give me no slouches. You gave me them boys.

[00:23:35]

Think about it. Traders, San Antonio, Holmes. Cut, Mark Tavius, Brown. Traders, Claypool. Cut your traders, Antonio Brown. Do you see a reoccurring theme? You see a reoccurring theme? They tolerate you, so they can replace you. You see their behavior? Now, you remember when Antonio Brown went live on Facebook Live?

[00:23:52]

Yes, sir. In the locker room? In the locker room, yes, sir.

[00:23:54]

When they asked Mike.

[00:23:55]

Thomas- Wait, we're no ill intent now. We're no ill intent. Just they were.

[00:24:00]

Happy by the way. You thought the locker room is off-limits, O-chah. You know damn well. Come on, don't do that now. I'm not going to let you pretend like the locker room isn't off limits.

[00:24:09]

God damn. It's a chairman of the goddamn locker room after every goddamn game now. It's a camera in the locker.

[00:24:14]

Room after every goddamn game. Let me ask you a question.

[00:24:17]

I like how you move the gold post here.

[00:24:20]

No. Let me ask you a question. Yes, sir. How much you think Antonio Brown paid to do that? And how much you think NFL Pins paid to do that?

[00:24:29]

The money.

[00:24:30]

Oh, the money.

[00:24:32]

Oh, yeah. You greased the right problem. You could do anything, baby. Thank you.

[00:24:37]

When they asked Mike Tomlin, was he going to suspend Antonio Brown? He said, no. You see?

[00:24:43]

No. Well, then when are you going to get that guy there? Oh, shit. I'm sorry. My bad. Where are you going to get that production from? You're just going to get that- Where are you going to get that production from? You just said you can replace. They tolerate you said they can replace you. They ain't replaced 84 yet. That might be top five, they could ever play this.

[00:25:02]

Goddamn game. But you see what happens? But you see what those guys saw? They saw Antonio Brown with that behavior.

[00:25:09]

No, we're not going to do that. We're not going to do that. We're not going to do that. Everybody's their own individual. We're not going to say, oh, George Pickett is only acting like this because of what Antonio Brown did. That's a grown man.

[00:25:21]

I'm a.

[00:25:22]

Grown man.

[00:25:23]

I'm Ocho. I got one for you. I got one better for you. Did George Pickett do what he's doing now at Georgia? Did he... Was he an angel? Was he a saint of Georgia?

[00:25:32]

I don't know his history. Honestly, O'Tro, I don't know his.

[00:25:35]

History there. I don't know his.

[00:25:37]

History either. But you have to understand, O'Tro. But I'm sure that- College coaches are a little different. It's a little bit more iron-fisted. They run it. Nick Saban runs Alabama. Kerby Smart runs Georgia. They run your ass off if you keep this behavior. It's a lot different than an NFL program. But what I'm saying is that I've always tried to be mindful, Ocho, of behaving a certain way because I know people was watching me. What you don't want to have happen, when they start enjoying a little success, they see O'Tro Cinco bull-driving. They see O'Tro Cinco not blocking. They see O'Tro showing up late for meeting. They see O'Tro showing up late for practice. There's a reason why they say we try to get bad apples out of the locker room, because why O'Tro? Influence. There's a reason why. You say, Oh, that's a grown man. Do you see you follow politics a little bit. You see.

[00:26:28]

What's- No, I don't. I don't like... I don't like politics.

[00:26:30]

Okay, religion. But go ahead. The pastor, he has it. He says a certain thing, and they follow him, don't they? That's a grown man. Why didn't listen to somebody else? That's what you're talking about, old Joe. Come on.

[00:26:44]

It matters. Hey, listen, I like where you're going with it, but I ain't buying it. I like where you're going with it. I like the way you explained it, but I ain't going with it. I ain't going for that. George Piggin is his own man. George Piggin is his own player. He has his own style of play. He has a way he's always acted since he was who knows? Since he's playing football, when you make it to the NFL, you are yourself. Nobody else is going to dictate how you act based on what you've seen them do.

[00:27:09]

That's not true.

[00:27:11]

You don't think so?

[00:27:15]

Let me ask you a question. You ever seen this go take place in New England? You was there. Why didn't it take place in New England? Why don't we see this behavior, on the field behavior, the holding, the false start penalty, the jumping outside, the lackadavical complaint? Why don't we see that in New England?

[00:27:34]

They don't play that shit up there, boy.

[00:27:35]

Hold on. Those are grown men. They could do what they... Under what you said, you said, no, I want you to listen. You said they are grown men, and grown men are going to do what they want to do. Now I need you to explain to me why grown men in New England behave as opposed to grown men in Pittsburgh.

[00:27:54]

Listen, everybody in New England, when I was there, is expendable, boy. You hear me? Stay with me real quick, man. Stay with me. Let me talk to you. Let me take my glasses off. Let me take my hat off, so you understand how serious I am. Everybody in New England during my time there during that era was expendable, except one centerpiece, and that was 12. You fuck around... Damn, I keep curse. I'm sorry, man. You mess around and you act up during that era, during that regime with the talent we had on the team, you're out of there. Man, listen, it's different from top to bottom. It's different from top to bottom the way they run that shit over there, because we don't need any of these pieces as long as we got that centerpiece in 12.

[00:28:39]

You see why? But you see what he did is he laid the foundation. Jimmy Johnson was the exact same way. You see, you never reward negative behavior. See, a kid doesn't know a child, doesn't know the difference between right and wrong unless there's a correction for the wrong. You see what happens? They started rewarding negative behavior. He said George Pickens is too talented for him to don't lie any type of punishment. He said he can't bench it because he's too talented. You see, you've rewarded my grandparents to always say, boy, you never reward negative behavior. If a child acts up, why would I give him ice cream? Why would I give him candy? Why would I take him to the beach? Why would I take him to the zoo? Why would I take him to the amusement park when he acts an ass? Because I'm rewarding negative behavior. I'm telling him, if you behave in this manner, this is the way to get what you want. What's the repercussions.

[00:29:34]

For George to take it? Well, technically, in hindsight, the repercussions, he's feeling it because he's not being utilized. He's not being utilized. He's not putting up the numbers he should be-.

[00:29:46]

You told me.

[00:29:47]

-based on what I know he can do. Again, people in the chat, I can't even see the chat right now. I'm not saying what he's doing is okay. I'm just giving you logical reasons as a former.

[00:29:59]

Receiver, ever. There is no reason.

[00:30:02]

Okay.

[00:30:02]

There's no reason for not doing your job. You mean to tell me I can come to my work and say because I got something on my mind, I can't do my job like I'm supposed to. Is that what you're telling me, O'Tob? I'm asking you a.

[00:30:13]

Simple question. Sometimes they happen. Listen, stay with me real quick. You ever been in a relationship, right? Yes. You ever been in a relationship and you get in an argument, you get in an argument at work and you're at work? No. It affects.

[00:30:27]

You at work. It's true. I didn't talk to my girlfriends at work. I'm at work. What did I tell you early on?

[00:30:36]

You just missed everything I just said. Sometimes before you leave the house, you get in an argument, and it affects you when you go to work. It messes up your whole day. Everybody in the chat, they know exactly what I'm talking about, and I know all of us that have been through it. What did I tell you? I understand what you mean. But in this case, you can't afford to do it. You have a job to do. Catch, block, and score touchdowns.

[00:31:02]

O'chah.

[00:31:04]

He does two of the three.

[00:31:08]

Two of the three. Remember I told you, O'chah? Yeah. What did I tell all my girlfriends? I can bring work home, but I can never take you to work. If I got to take you to work, I got to let you go.

[00:31:20]

Wait a minute. Stop right there. Come on back. Bring that to me again.

[00:31:23]

Yeah, I can bring work home, but I can never take you to work. Because if I take you to work, now that's interfering with my ability to do my job. Because at the end of the day, I'm paid to do a job. A man is paying me an honest day's salary, I got to give him an honest day's work. Free. My mind must be free. When you step on that field, your mind must be free. I approached practice like a game because I wanted to become second nature. I wanted everything to be second nature. Just like I wake up, I brush my teeth, I put my clothes on, I tie my shoes, I'm out the door. That's what practice led into the game. I couldn't get it wrong because I had done it right so many times. So from that you have... Ojo, and look, I understand, Ocho. Everybody does not have the same mindset. That's why it's so hard.

[00:32:14]

To win- We're all different.

[00:32:15]

That's why it's so hard to win a championship as a team. I mean, if you got a 45, talking. You're going to win a lot of games. But the problem is you don't, and you must be able to take the guys that really want to do it. Because I was talking to... If you notice, Ocho.

[00:32:32]

People.

[00:32:33]

That talk about each other, they do well together. But if somebody don't want to talk about it, Oh, he think he too good.

[00:32:40]

You.

[00:32:40]

See, greatness, if you look at great people, they hang together. Cool. But average people don't like great people. Great people don't like average people. You know why you and I have so much success? Because it's less crowded up here, because people are okay being average. That's where it's crowded at, Ocho. When it's up here, it's smooth sailing. All you got to do is work, but people don't want to work. They want X, Y, and Z, but they're not even willing to do R, S, T. You see, that's why I've been able to have the success. When people say Shannon don't deserve, Shannon don't deserve anything. You're absolutely right. She hasn't earned it because there's an opportunity. Everybody has opportunity. What I'm willing to do, look at my work schedule, Ocho, you know what it is. Saturday, we had a podcast. Sunday, we had a podcast. Monday, I did ESPN. Then we had another podcast. I went and did ESPN on Tuesday, had to take Club Shay-Shay. I did podcast on Wednesday, ESPN today. I wouldn't take another podcast. Now I'm doing a nightclub with you. Got ESP in tomorrow. You see that? Yeah. What are you working for?

[00:33:49]

That's a price. I cannot ask God to give me something and then complain that you gave me too much. He said, You ungrateful, you know what? He knows how much I hate ungrateful. So how can I be ungrateful for someone that gave me something?

[00:34:05]

Yeah, you're right. Listen, I can't even argue with you after that sermon. That was good. Listen, you and your feelings right now, so you're very passionate about that. But again, back to the topic at hand.

[00:34:17]

Yes.

[00:34:17]

Back to the topic. George, I know you're going to see this. Baby, hold your head. I know how you feel it. I know what you're going through. I'm one of the few that can empathize with how you feeling. Because I played the position, I know... I know it is like to be struggling. I know it is like to be losing and knowing I can contribute, knowing I can help and not getting the opportunities that you may feel you deserve. Keep playing, man. Keep playing. When buddy running, whether it's Nigga or other young fella.

[00:34:45]

Other young boy.

[00:34:46]

Man, you got to block, boy. Just block. Your opportunity is going to come, man. I'm telling you, better days are here, man. Lock in, baby.

[00:34:53]

Ojo, you know how and why I've always been able to go and stand in front of when I was in high school or college. Once I got to the league, I could stand in front of young men, older men, some older than I was, and command their attention. Because every man that looked me in my eye and heard my voice, no, I never asked more than I was willing to give. That's what makes you a leader. They've got to know. If you're asking me to do that, I believe Shannon Scharff would do it. If I believe that Shannon is asking me to stay here, I ask in, he's in. The way he eats, the way he trains, you never ask more than you're willing to give. You'll never have a problem.

[00:35:34]

It.

[00:35:35]

Doesn't matter if you're born great or had greatness thrust upon you. What are you going to do with it?

[00:35:44]

Leader.

[00:35:45]

Is something. You were born leader, but greatness, some people are born great. Some people have greatness thrust upon them. What are you going to do with that greatness?

[00:35:58]

Yeah, I like that. What you preach for the day, boy. We just started. Well, you warmed up. Who got to offer a plate? That was nice there. I know George is going to see this, and why is George going to see this?

[00:36:12]

But.

[00:36:13]

I bet you don't have no goddamn problems at my dog no more.

[00:36:17]

Hello. Jay Abry said, Come on, Ocho, you're backtracking. Stop broadcasting that you aren't trying to be knowledgeable and midic to being unprepared. You started, yo', scattering like parses.

[00:36:29]

I don't know what he's talking about. He must not be listening. He hearing what he want to hear. Because I didn't already said it was wrong. So how you even find some negative to say about what I'm talking about and I already said it was wrong. I was just giving reasons on why he might be feeling the way he does based on the fact that I played the position for a long time at a very goddamn high level. So what is he talking about? Go ahead, man. He hear what he want to hear, man. Okay.

Randy Moss was on Kevin Hart's show, Coding Ball. He said he's the goat receiver over Jerry Rice. He said as a guest of...

[00:38:03]

He said, as a guest on, he said, Mawse made the case for his status. He says, Hands down, I consider myself the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game. That wasn't a shot at Jerry. I still got respect and love for Jerry, but I thought that way that I changed the game. Ocho, I was in the league. I was in the league when Teo played. I was in the league when Randy paid, played. I was in the league with Jerry played. Yes, sir. It ain't close. You can debate a lot. There are two positions. I think now there are three positions.

[00:38:37]

What do you mean that ain't close?

[00:38:38]

It ain't close.

[00:38:39]

Whoa.

[00:38:40]

Wait.

[00:38:40]

Which part?

[00:38:41]

Whatever metric you want to use. You want to use yards, you want to use touchdowns, you want to use catch it, you want to use rings, you want to use all pros, you want to use pro bonos, you want to use longevity. What metric do you want to use?

[00:38:58]

You saw Randy Morris play, right?

[00:39:02]

I did.

[00:39:03]

You've seen Teo play, right? Yes.

[00:39:05]

They're my top three.

[00:39:07]

They're your top three?

[00:39:09]

Yes.

[00:39:10]

Jerry Rice? Yes. Statistically, is the greatest of all time, based on the numbers that he was able to attain over a very long period of time. Very productive. Randy Morris and Teo are the greatest receivers to ever play in the history of this game.

[00:39:29]

Based on what? What are you basing that on? The greatest. What are you basing it on?

[00:39:34]

Just skill in journal, being wide receivers. Just wide receivers. Fuck, excuse me, why do I keep cursing the date? Forget the numbers. How? I'm telling you, I don't care nothing about the numbers. I'm talking about what they did on the field and how they transferred the position. Did you not see, Jerry?

[00:39:57]

Did you not see, Jerry?

[00:39:59]

Yeah. Have you seen, Moss and Teo?

[00:40:02]

What are you talking about?

[00:40:04]

Have you seen.

[00:40:05]

Moss and Teo? Have you seen, Moss and Teo? Jerry has 7,000 more yards than Moss. He has 44 more touchdowns than Moss. He has 600 more catches than Moss. He has six more, all pro, first team, seven more than Moss. He has seven more pro boards than Moss. You can't forget the numbers with.

[00:40:31]

The numbers game. I hate this number game. I hate this number game when it comes to talent and skill set and how Randy, Moss and Teo clear every fucking body.

[00:40:47]

You got your damn body.

[00:40:47]

Everybody. I don't care nothing about no numbers.

[00:40:50]

I'm telling you. T. O, do you understand how ridiculous you're sounding? Saying disregard the numbers when you play a... Hold on. Why is catches? If the numbers don't matter, why are you claiming for George Pickens to get Kethees and touchdowns and yards? It don't matter. You just said they don't matter.

[00:41:11]

No, we were talking about... I'm talking about talent and skill. Let's stay with me, baby. Stay with me. Don't get frustrated. I love you. You know who else is in that conversation? Because we had never seen nothing like that again. Calvin Johnson. It's something different. Jerry is great. Jerry is great and all that he did. But it's something about Moss and Teo, and I can't even explain. I can't even put in the words people in the chat. You would have to really love the game of football coaches or players from the past to even understand what I mean. The fact that I really want to get really passionate about it, but I can't break it down the way I want.

[00:41:48]

You can't break it down the way you can't get passionate.

[00:41:51]

About it? I can't break it down the way I want to because the focal point of everything is numbers.

[00:41:56]

Because you play a sport that numbers matter.

[00:41:59]

At time, numbers can't even tell the whole story based on Moss saying he's the greatest to ever play the game. Okay, I got no problem. But listen, with what he's saying, I'm putting Randy 1A, Teo 1B, or you could flip off either way. I love what Jerry did. It was phenomenal. It would probably never be reached. Even with the extended games and playing 17 games, it's just for me, for me, I understand what Moss mean. I understand what he mean. He didn't have to go in-depth with the numbers. He didn't have to go in-depth. He feels he's the greatest because of a certain skill set.

[00:42:41]

Feelings aren't facts.

[00:42:43]

Who?

[00:42:44]

Feelings aren't facts.

[00:42:46]

Listen, it's hard to explain. It's hard to explain because everybody will debunk his case because of the numbers.

[00:42:55]

Ocho. That's it. Ocho.

[00:42:57]

I'm just.

[00:42:58]

Telling you. How can you say numbers don't matter.

[00:43:01]

Listen, I don't know how to explain it. I just.

[00:43:04]

Said that.

[00:43:04]

You know why? I'm just telling you. I've seen them boys with my own eyes, man. I've seen them boys up close with my own eyes. We ain't never seen nothing like that '81. Neither one of them '81s.

[00:43:16]

You think you're going to see... You just said you'll never see what Jerry did again. Two hundred and eight total touchdowns. So you tell me the person is going to score 200.

[00:43:24]

Times are different now.

[00:43:26]

Thank you. You know what? I'm glad you said that because they didn't throw the ball like they do now. They didn't throw the ball in Jerry's air.

[00:43:33]

Hiding me. That Mother fucking West Coast offense Jerry was in with goddamn Steve.

[00:43:38]

And Joe.

[00:43:40]

Joe Montana? They didn't what? What you talk about they.

[00:43:43]

Didn't throw the ball? Don't do that. You think they thought... Hold on. So you think- All.

[00:43:47]

They did was.

[00:43:47]

Throw the ball. Now this man going to tell you...

[00:43:51]

This man going to tell you- What you mean? I was there.

[00:43:53]

What you talk about? How you mean how you was there? I was there. I played the line- I was there too. I played the line share of career in the West Coast system.

[00:44:01]

I know. I was the ball boy. I was the ball boy for the 49ers.

[00:44:06]

Hold on. Here's Jerry Rice. Jerry is a 13-time pro bowl, a 10-time all-pro, a three-time Super Bowl champion, a Super Bowl MVP and two-time Offense and Player of the Year. Randy Moss is a six-time pro bowler, a four-time all-pro. No Super Bowels, no MVP, no regular-season MVPs. Okay, we didn't put Teo up there.

[00:44:30]

You all don't understand. The people throwing at all them fucking numbers just don't understand.

[00:44:34]

What do we missing?

[00:44:35]

Tell me what I'm missing. That will never be another Teo or.

[00:44:43]

Randy Moss. But there'll be another Jerry Rice.

[00:44:47]

No, it'd be impossible. It'll be impossible to gain that- Why is it going to be impossible? Listen to me, man. It'll be impossible because of the longevity, the level of talent and skill has increased, that's not going to happen again.

[00:45:06]

But- Hold on. Didn't Jerry have a thousand yard seats in the age 40? Pull that up. I just want to make sure. I just want to make sure for context. Because you say you love for people to provide context, the greatness of Jerry. Yeah.

[00:45:22]

Shoot. Hey, I want to talk about the greatness of Muffika, Moss, and Teo.

[00:45:27]

Okay. I love it. That's why I requested this topic. What was Jerry? What was Jerry? Great.

[00:45:38]

I hate what- At 40. -at 40.

[00:45:41]

Jerry Rice at age 40 had 1,11 yards. If I'm not mistaken- With.

[00:45:47]

The Raiders. With the Raiders.

[00:45:49]

In 2002. With Rich Gallow? Yes.

[00:45:51]

With Rich Gallow?

[00:45:52]

Give me a... I think Randy's last thousand-yard season, he might have been 30. So are we going to disregard Tennessee? Are we going to disregard that return trip to Minnesota? Are we going to disregard the 49ers? What are we doing about those stents, Teo?

[00:46:11]

My name is Chad.

[00:46:12]

You got me, Ojo.

[00:46:13]

What are we going to do about that? Listen, I know we look alike. I know.

[00:46:16]

We look alike. I got Teo Staps up here also.

[00:46:20]

Listen. Hey, you heard me?

[00:46:26]

Thirty-two. So his last Fowdyard season was at 32. Jerry's last Fowdyard season was.

[00:46:34]

At 40. At 40?

[00:46:37]

Give me a-.

[00:46:39]

Hey, that's nice. That's real nice.

[00:46:43]

That's real nice. Teo was the sixth time. Tio was a six-time pro bowler, a five-time all-pro. He's won a three million. That's ever been a first team all-pro on three different teams. Teo, the historic Ted Hendrix, and one of our good friend, Prime Time. Prime. Only three men have ever been first team all pro on three different teams. Yeah. Teo? Hey. Yes.

[00:47:07]

I have a question. In life, when it comes to what you like, we all have preferences, right? Yeah. With those preferences, there is always context that goes with those preferences based on why you like them. For me, Jerry Rice's numbers are great. What Jerry did during this time was great. But for me, my preference as a receiver, and I love them all, I don't talk bad about nobody. You know that about me. I don't talk bad about nobody. My preference, based on what I was able to see with my own eyes up close on the field, share the team with Teo to get a better understanding on his greatness. To me, them two are my Mount Rushmore of receivers. Now, I'm not taking nothing away from what they did statistically, or what Jerry did statistically. Because when it comes.

[00:48:06]

To the- It's not even close.

[00:48:07]

Yeah, when it comes to the goat, that is what Jerry is. That's what he is. But for me-.

[00:48:14]

You just said.

[00:48:15]

Randy was the goat. I just said based on the numbers, you're not listening to me, you got to stay with me. That's the thing, you're not listening. You hear what you want to hear.

[00:48:23]

You just spent all this time saying Randy was the greatest.

[00:48:29]

Well, honestly, shit, they all great.

[00:48:32]

No, no, no, no, no. They all great. They are all great. That ain't what we do. That ain't what we do.

[00:48:37]

I have a question.

[00:48:40]

Yes. Kobe, LeBron, Michael Jordan.

[00:48:43]

Yeah, I got LeBron. Is it?

[00:48:45]

They're all great.

[00:48:46]

Yes.

[00:48:47]

They're all great. Okay, I just said that. You just agreed to me. I just said Randy, Teo, and Jerry are all great.

[00:48:52]

But I got LeBron as the go.

[00:48:54]

All their numbers are different, right?

[00:48:56]

I got LeBron as the goat. Everybody knows that I got LeBron as the goat.

[00:49:00]

Okay, you have LeBron as the goal. Yes. Okay, you based on statistics, because that's what you would use right now if I would try to debunk the fact, right? Yes.

[00:49:08]

No, no, no. See, here's the thing, O'Joe. Because here's the thing, in football it's hard for a skilled position player other than the quarterback and the running back to win the MVP. But Jerry does have two offensive players of the year. Actually, he should have won the.

[00:49:31]

Mvp in '87.

[00:49:32]

The strike year, '87.

[00:49:34]

He should have won that, yeah.

[00:49:35]

Most definitely. '87, he should have won the MVP. I think he lost about one vote to John. I want people to go, because we're going to do a poll. Who do we think the greatest receiver of all time is Randy, Teo, or Jerry. If you go look at the numbers and you see how far, Jerry, I mean, there's nothing. I mean, if you see how far the numbers and you see the accolades, I just don't know how. I can see, okay-.

[00:50:08]

You know how? How? You know how? Yes. Because I play receiver, and I see boys up close and I know what they can do, and I've seen it. I've seen it. I don't know how to fucking put it into words. I don't know how to explain it. But that shit, we ain't seeing nothing like that again, man. God damn, throw Calvin Johnson in that motherfucker. I'm cursing the day. God, forgive me. My bad.

[00:50:34]

I'm sorry. Right now we got 3,000 votes. Jared has 56% of the vote. Randy has 35, Teo has 9%. We'll circle back with that later. Let's go. Simone Biles' husband, you know who Simone Biles is? The gymnast? Yeah. Simone Biles' husband said he didn't know who she was when they met, said he's the catch. Simone Biles- Come on, man.

[00:51:01]

Thank you. Stop playing, man.

[00:51:03]

Thank you, Ocho.

[00:51:04]

He appeared- He said what? He the who?

[00:51:06]

He said he's the catch. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens appeared on The Pivot Podcast this week, which is Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Shannon Crowdell's podcast. Guys do a great job. I love you guys. I work with Ryan. I saw Freddie T and and chatting them at The Fight. Right. At the Bud Crawford and What was the other guy? Aero. Aero. Aero. Aero Spence. Aero Spence Jr. I saw them and got an opportunity to really talk to them. For this man to fix his mouth to say he had no idea who Simone Biles was, and supposedly they went in 2020. Now, that was the time with the Olympics. Now, the Olympics got post all the year, but she was the face. She was the face of American of Olympics.

[00:51:58]

Maybe he's lying.

[00:52:02]

Here's the photo, and here's another thing. They're on this dating site for famous people. Why the hell is he on there? I get why she's on it.

[00:52:11]

They got a dating site for famous people?

[00:52:15]

It's called Ryder. It's called Ryya.

[00:52:18]

Why are they on there? They got Instagram and X and X.

[00:52:22]

On Twitter. But it offers a level of protection because she gets Simone Bios, and she just can't be talking to any weirdos. Anybody, yeah. I guess they bedded it. I have no qualms on why she's on that site. My question is, why is he on it?

[00:52:41]

Hold on. What was that word you just said?

[00:52:44]

What? Qualms?

[00:52:45]

Okay, let me write that down, because I'm going to use that in conversation right there. I like.

[00:52:49]

That, boy. That's my thing. For him to talk about he's the catch. What catch? Man, I get it. I get it because look here, this is how you know you're not the catch. When everybody refers to you as Simone Biles' husband.

[00:53:06]

Instead of by.

[00:53:06]

Your first name. Yeah, that's Simone Biles' husband.

[00:53:10]

I think he understands that. I mean, he understands that. I think he knows and I think Simone is allowing him to be the man and make it seem as if you are the one. But the rest of the world will always see him as Simone Biles' husband. That's no disrespect to him. He does his thing with the Pacos. But Simone Biles is a global iconic figure. Global iconic figure.

[00:53:41]

Yes. I mean, the most accomplished fitness. She has moves, the Biles. She got moves that she can't even do in competition because nobody else can do the moves.

[00:53:56]

Yeah. Wait, she is the most decorated, right?

[00:54:00]

Yeah. As far as those, I mean, look how many times she's won the world championship. Look how many times she's won the US Championship. Larissa Latinana, the great Russian. But Simone's work. Yeah, Ocho, yes. You got to use that. You're Paul like, Damn. No, everything. Yes. I know about Larissa Latinana. I know about Oga Corbett. I know about.

[00:54:30]

Okay, well, I.

[00:54:31]

Know about that. I know about.

[00:54:35]

My gymnastics now. Don't do that. I used to work the balance beam in high school. I used to work the balance beam in high school.

[00:54:43]

But I just.

[00:54:45]

That would be a fun relationship in the offseason, though. What? Like competing.

[00:54:51]

I guess who?

[00:54:51]

Competing, flipping them too, just going at it. Competing in different things that have to- She's explosive, Ojo. -test your athletic ability.

[00:54:58]

Ojo. He's only four. She's only four foot tall. Maybe she weighs 100 pounds. I don't think she weighs that much. But to be able... You understand, you have to be able how tight she's wound.

[00:55:13]

Right. Right.

[00:55:15]

To be able to hit those moves and to tumble and to locate and then to come down, because a lot of those moves she's doing in reverse. Go ahead.

[00:55:26]

Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something about tumbling. Back in the days, Scott Projects in the '80s, the mattresses. You know, we had the two mattresses, right? Yeah. You take the two mattresses and your mama make you change the mattresses. Talk about throw them away. Put them onput them on the pile so they can come pick them up. Man, we ain't put the mattress on the pile. You get two of them. You get your homeboy mattress, get your mattress. Boom. What do you think we out there doing?

[00:55:55]

Flip it.

[00:55:56]

Flip it. That's how we started. I never forget. Look at.

[00:55:58]

Your broken damn neck.

[00:56:01]

Yeah. Oh, no. Well, we could flip now. We could flip. That was our gymnastics. Scott Projects, me and Snoop Minous. You remember Marvin Menace, right? Yes. Man, listen, man, we used to battle on who could flip the best. To me, that's an exciting relationship, because if I was him, I'd be challenging her every offseason.

[00:56:21]

To do what? Lose?

[00:56:23]

No, I'm just saying. Push the envelope.

[00:56:26]

Bro.

[00:56:26]

Look here. Push the envelope. Let her...

[00:56:28]

Push the envelope. That's like saying if you dating Shaqari Richard, say, come on, baby, I'm going to blow the nose off you.

[00:56:37]

Oh, are we going to race? Do 30 yard, 30 meters.

[00:56:42]

She's going to have you pulling your hamstring, your groin, and your ass.

[00:56:46]

I ain't going to pull nothing. Now you know I'm in shape, baby. I'm in very good shape. But I said 30 meters because I know I can get out. I know I can get out. But my drive phase is nice. You got to see my drive faith.

[00:57:00]

My drive is like that. This is the difference between football speed and track speed.

[00:57:05]

Because- I got track speed, though. I got track speed. Listen, stay with me, baby. It's three different phases in running. You got the drive phase? Yes. You got the drive phase?

[00:57:17]

Yes.

[00:57:18]

You feel me? Yes. And that's what I am. I'm a driver. I'm like Christian Coleman. You see? I got the fastest 5, 10, and 20. That's why I made money.

[00:57:30]

There ain't a whole lot of men that's not professional, not track stars that can out rush to carry Richison.

[00:57:37]

Right. Listen, she beat everybody.

[00:57:41]

I'm talking about you. She beat your ass too.

[00:57:43]

That's why I said 30 meters. I don't want to go no further than 30 because don't embarrass me.

[00:57:48]

I don't care if it's 10 meters.

[00:57:51]

Okay, so you're doing me wrong. You're doing me wrong. I just told you my star- I just told you my star is.

[00:57:56]

Like Christian Kahlman. You're not used to getting in no blocks.

[00:57:59]

You're not used to being in no blocks. I train with Fred, Curly. How are you going to tell me I used to be in no blocks?

[00:58:03]

You know what? As a matter of fact, when I'm done here, I'm going to get on the phone with Curly, and I'm going to call it.

[00:58:09]

Call Fred and ask Fred if we don't train together at tropical park. I train with Fred.

[00:58:13]

Okay, I will get a vote.

[00:58:14]

I'll get a vote. Listen, me and Fred do block work together. We do 250s, 300s. I'm like that.

[00:58:21]

Well, first of all, you doing them 250s and 300 ain't going to help you in no 30 meters, so.

[00:58:26]

Keep on doing it. I know I was helping him train and talking shit in his ear just to get him prepared for a meet.

[00:58:32]

Simone Bowes is 30 times. She won 30 world medals, 23 goals, six times world all around titles. She's the first woman to win six all around titles, 2013 to '15, '18 to '19, and she did it again in 2023. She was just awarded a presidential Biden award a Medal of Freedom. Let's just say for the sake of argument, and I don't think anybody in their right of mind, think he didn't know who she was. Let's just say that.

[00:59:04]

But.

[00:59:05]

To try to fix their mouth and try to, Oh, I'm the catch. Bro, you're not. Bro, you're not.

[00:59:12]

Listen, maybe what... What if is a good thing? Maybe they have the dynamic in their relationship where she's allowing him to have fun. Sometimes women play that game. You know what? I know who I am. I know what I've accomplished, but I don't want to make it seem like I am bigger than my man. So it's okay.

[00:59:32]

But, Ocho, unless you are Jay Z and you marry Beyonce, who in the hell else can Beyonce be with that she's not going to be bigger than? Look, I don't want to start in the room, but LeBron James, right? I mean, you got to get something think about it. More times than not, they're only probably about five men in the world that Beyonce could be with that she's not going to be bigger than.

[00:59:54]

You know what? I ain't even touching that.

[01:00:03]

No, but I'm just saying.

[01:00:04]

That's the other thing.

[01:00:05]

I see you going- I'm telling.

[01:00:07]

You, Taylor Will. But there are billionaires that we don't know about that are-.

[01:00:14]

But that's the point. Don't nobody know about them. That's why they want to own professional team so that you can know about them. That's my point. Taylor Swiff. How many men in the world right now that Taylor Swift ain't going to get top billing?

[01:00:28]

Boy. Listen, the...

[01:00:30]

These are- Do you see what the NFL does? Do you see what the NFL does when she's short, the Gains?

[01:00:35]

Yeah, there are very few people that have that type of... Thank you. I call it that type of aura. Yes. Life-changing. Yes. Life-changing if they're attached to you. It will change your life, which is why normally you can't even tell people like that to date up. Where the fuck are you going?

[01:00:54]

Yes.

[01:00:55]

Where are you going?

[01:00:57]

Jesus, God. You're trying to.

[01:00:59]

Date up. You're already at the top. That's dope when you think about it. That's crazy.

[01:01:07]

Like Oprah. How many people get to know... Come on, man. It is what it is.

[01:01:13]

Listen.

[01:01:14]

Standing in the left. You know, Ojo, when you date somebody like that, or you marry somebody like that, you got to be real secure in yourself because they going to get top Billy.

[01:01:26]

Yeah, you're right by that. When I think about their dynamic, beautiful couple, but that's similar to that of Oprah and Stedman. Maybe he could just play the back. He could just play the background like the way Stedman does. Let Simone take all the shine, all the glory, what she going to do anyway because of who she is? She's an iconic figure, and I think he understands that.

[01:01:52]

Right. Think about it. She said in the interview, in a couple of years, nobody is going to be calling him Simone Byles' husband. They're going to call me Jonathan Owings' wife. That ain't going to happen, baby. That ain't going to happen.

[01:02:06]

That's a wife. You hear that? Yes.

[01:02:11]

But think about it. I mean, she's already 14, so she has to even shrink herself even more. It's okay for one spouse to be bigger than the other. It's okay for the female to be top billing. You know what you're getting yourself into.

[01:02:27]

Yeah.

[01:02:29]

I could be totally wrong, but it sounds like to me she's saying that because I think in her profile, she got Jonathan Owens wife, am I correct? I think she wants to make him feel better, because unless he turned into Airee, I don't know what to tell him. Aldon or Dion, he's going to turn into Prime.

[01:02:57]

Listen, Jonathan Owens isis a very, very good player. I love him to death.

[01:03:03]

She got in her profile, she got a ring wife at Jay Owens. That's the first thing she got. Then she got a Lipit gold medalist. Then she got Margarita and Mimosa's Lover. Then she got Dog Mom. Then she got Houston. Then she got Snapchat, Simone Biles.

[01:03:22]

Listen, what's the first thing in her profile again?

[01:03:25]

A ring wife at Jay Owens.

[01:03:29]

There we go. That's all that matter right there. That's all that matter right there. But, Jay-.

[01:03:35]

You say, Oh, but hold on. This is what he got on his athlete, just a kid from St. Louis, wife at Simone Biles. You notice the difference? What she got first? What he got first? Yeah. Oh, okay. I'm just making sure you're right.

[01:03:51]

I'm.

[01:03:52]

Just putting that out there because you told me you like context, and I'm going to provide you. I'm making sure.

[01:03:57]

I'm providing you context. Yeah, that was good context. I like it. They are a cute couple.

[01:04:03]

Yes. A Florida man catches a gator in a garbage bin. I don't know if you see this, Ojo.

[01:04:10]

Hey.

[01:04:11]

Florida? Yeah. Gators? Yeah.

[01:04:13]

Man, we had them things when we were.

[01:04:15]

Shorties, man. You ain't had no gators with that far from Liberty City.

[01:04:20]

What? In Opa Locka man in the canal. Well, the gators right there, that ain't nothing new? Yeah. Go ahead and finish.

[01:04:26]

He caught him in a garbage bin. I saw that. You ever had to run in with a gator?

[01:04:34]

No, I'm in the hood. They did not to the hood. If they are in the hood... Wait, listen, let me tell you, when they are in the hood, in which I saw they were very frequent back in the day, we talked about early late '80s, early '90s. For some reason, I don't want to say the D-word, the D-boys. You hear where I'm going? Yeah. A few of them.

[01:04:56]

Purposely.

[01:04:57]

Had gators. When they got a little too big, they let him go in the canal. But I don't know what it was. My homeboy, remember Darnell Docket? Yeah. Darnell Dockett had him a goddamn gator. I'm not sure what he did with him. But obviously, when they get to a certain size, you got to let them go. But for some reason, there was a fad at some point in Florida, in Liberty City, probably other places as well, where people had goddamn gators. You go to the games at Miami-Dade Community College, you got dudes in there off the ave, off 61st. You don't know about 61st. But anyway, they had little gators with them, and they had tape round them out. I don't know what for.

[01:05:31]

Because they don't want you to bite them, because all the pressure is closing down.

[01:05:35]

You can keep- I understand that. But I'm saying why would you have gators at the game with the leash and the collar and all?

[01:05:40]

Because you want to look cool. It's the same thing why these people get these pithons and get these snakes that they're going to go too big for you to handle them. They release them in the wild, they have no natural predator, and now they run through the habitat.

[01:05:54]

And.

[01:05:54]

Get big, get huge. Yeah, because if you don't have a natural predator, they just grow andgrow and grow and multiply. Yes.

[01:06:03]

You like snakes?

[01:06:06]

No, I don't like snakes.

[01:06:08]

Are you.

[01:06:09]

Scared of- I'm not scared of the snake. I kill hell out of them. I ain't going to be back, Tiocho. Because... Look, we were growing up-.

[01:06:17]

Oh, you're from the country.

[01:06:18]

I'm from the country, and I ain't have no problem. We had rat snakes, chicken snakes. If you have rat, you're going to have snakes. It's as simple as that. My grandma would be cooking and had a train of the boy, here comes one trying to come into the house. Come get it. Me and my brother go down there and break him up real problem. We break up a real problem.

[01:06:39]

Is there an animal if you came in contact with that you would be scared of?

[01:06:44]

With just my naked hands, just my bare hands?

[01:06:47]

Yeah, just.

[01:06:50]

Hypothetically speaking. Yeah, sure. I'm not a fox. I'm not a rabbit, fox. I don't.

[01:06:57]

Really know. Fox, they're so little.

[01:06:58]

They bitch, they tear your ass up though.

[01:07:01]

A fox? Yeah. With a bushy tail?

[01:07:03]

Yeah.

[01:07:04]

Don't let that- They're not aggressive though, are they?

[01:07:06]

Not normally. Not normally. Not normally. But probably like a bobcast, a cougar, mountain lion, whatever you want to call it. And stuff like that. But when we grew up, we saw bobcasts and we stuff. They normally, they're as afraid of you as you are them. Same thing with the snake. I mean, obviously, if they got anything that has babies, they're going to protect their babies.

[01:07:33]

Oh, yeah.

[01:07:34]

You just have to be careful. They're going to protect those. Like a porch whip, now they're aggressive, but we have a porch whip. They pop you in the tail.

[01:07:48]

I ain't never heard that. That's the first time. I ain't never heard that.

[01:07:51]

Yeah. My great-grandma, my grandmother's, granny's mom.

[01:07:54]

Got.

[01:07:55]

Stumbled across one and she got two clients. I guess she had a mess somewhere. My grandma had a car. But I don't really fear a whole lot of animals. I respect them. I don't really just like for me, like snakes, because I knew the snakes that we were killing was trying to eat my grandmother's chickens. Not, per se the chickens, but the betis. If we shot something like a posom or a raccoon, they were trying to eat my grandmother's chicken. That was a no-no. Even though we really didn't eat the after we got to a certain point, my grandmother would go buy the chickens. She just liked to have them out there. Anything, she's like, Boy, something after them chicken, me and my brother get the flashlight, see what it is, we start blasting.

[01:08:42]

That's crazy. You know what? Okay, animal you're scared of. What about your favorite animal? I'm assuming it's the dog because you love dogs.

[01:08:50]

With that. But if I can get another animal, I want to pet raccoon so bad. There are several things. I want.

[01:08:56]

To pet raccoon. Can you.

[01:08:57]

Domesticate a raccoon? Absolutely. A mini horse, a mini cow, a mini donkey. A donkey? Yeah, a little mini donkey. It's just big.

[01:09:09]

That's as big as they get? Yeah. I can see you doing all that when you retire and you hang everything up. You go get you some nice land.

[01:09:17]

Somewhere and.

[01:09:18]

Have all them. My favorite animal, obviously, for those people that have been following me over the years, my entire right side of my leg, from the waist all the way to the ankle, is killer whales. I love killer whales. I have a fascination and love killer whales. You know what they call?

[01:09:33]

You know.

[01:09:35]

What.

[01:09:35]

They call the killer whales? What? Wolves of the sea.

[01:09:39]

Oh, yeah, wolves of the sea.

[01:09:40]

They're the only thing. They'll attack anything. They're so smart. Anything. There's not a whale that they... I mean, other whales that I mean, sperm whale, humpback, gray.

[01:09:53]

Well, they got different types of orcas. Some of them, transient orcas, resident orcas, transient orcas are more prone to attack seals, dolphins, and other orcas like that. If I didn't make it to the NFL, if I didn't make it to the NFL, I know I play around a lot, and obviously you can tell based on my tone and delivery, I'm being serious. I wanted to be a marine biologist and study killer whales. It was either that or veterinarian. It was something about killer whales that my grandma took me a long time ago to SeaWorld. Lolita passed away recently, and I didn't understand how bad it was for killer whales being held up-.

[01:10:40]

Oh.

[01:10:40]

That's in. Yeah, until I saw Blackfish. Did you see the documentary Black Fish? Yeah. So until I saw that, then I got a better understanding and it never went. It never went anymore. I just did my love for them now is I'm waiting to go to Norway in New Zealand. They have-.

[01:10:57]

Or you go out there and track them, and you can find them in.

[01:11:00]

The natural habitat. You can get in the water, though.

[01:11:02]

I don't want to get in the water with them.

[01:11:04]

No, but I'm just telling you, I'm taking Reel with me. I don't think Ryl is going to get in the water, but I'm going to get in the water and snorkel with them. I can't wait for that. I can't wait for that.

[01:11:12]

Yeah. I mean, growing up in the country and you're around, my grandfather had hogs, so that's what he mainly had. We had dogs, obviously. My grandmother ended up getting a cat from... She found it at the nursing home and brought it home and had one cat. The next thing you know, Tiger Gal. My grandmother named Tiger Gal, and we had 25 cats. Damn. Yeah, man, they may have. But when you grow up on the farm, you just have a just like man. Like I said, we had hogs, we had names. We had a hamshire, which is a black and white named Sunny. He was the biggest one we had. He probably weighed 500 pounds. We had a duroc male named Kelly that didn't play the fiddle. He teared us up. We had one named Bill. Wehad, I think, Bill was probably a Yorkshire, Bill and a Marmin, big white males. But we had to keep them separated. But Sonny was our favorite. My grandfather was like, once my uncles and I, everybody started having kids, they weren't around. He felt that he might attack him. But he had tust like this. Me and my brother could let him out and walk around the yard like he was a dog go-show.

[01:12:27]

Rub him on his side, that 500-pound joker just rolled over. Granted like a holla at the white boy, put the hog back up.

[01:12:38]

Hey, hogs. Hogs are aggressive and dangerous, ain't it? That's what hog?

[01:12:43]

That's what hog? No, no, no. They don't all depends. Now, the females, especially if they have a litter, they have piglets, they light you up, O-chow. They don't play. They don't play. They don't play about their babies. You have to be very, very careful because yeah, because we had a couple of them that did some damage to our dogs that the dogs got too close to them and took 100 stitches to close him up. She didn't play. She cut him every way but loose. Yeah. We had to go. She'd have killed him. If we didn't get in there, she'd have killed him.

[01:13:22]

Yeah.

[01:13:22]

That's crazy. That's my thing. Who else we got? Arthur Graham said, Jerry plate, Jerry played bulk of his career with Hall of Famers, Randy Ditton.

[01:13:36]

I don't even want to august- We don't move on.

[01:13:41]

We don't move on.

[01:13:42]

We don't move on. I love Randy and Teo. That ain't never going to move the needle for me. I love what Jerry did. No disrespect to him. I love the numbers. I've watched this film, I've studied this film. I've tried to copy some of the things he did when he played. He was someone that I studied and admired. But for me, my preference, all the fellows in the chat, all the women in the chat, you guys have preferences when it comes to other things outside of this. I know we base everything on numbers when it comes to sports, but for me, I'm excluding the numbers based on what I saw with my own eyes and who I prefer.

[01:14:18]

That's all. Danielle Thompson said, Jerry is like, braided. He's the most accomplished, but not the greatest receiver. Shane, you can understand that. No, braided is the greatest quarterback.

[01:14:28]

Hey, I like the way he broke that down. No. I couldn't say it, but he just said it for me. Let me ask.

[01:14:34]

You a question. That was nice. Name the quarterback better than braided. Huh? Name the quarterback better than braided.

[01:14:42]

You know.

[01:14:42]

What- Name the quarterback. Name the quarterback that played in the 103-year history of the NFL that's better than Tom braided. Name the quarterback. Split Tom braided in career. I can make the case. So now I'm an advocate. Tom braided has come to me and I'm representing Pro Bono. I can split Tom Brady's career in half and make him the greatest. Stop playing with me. So now you added in his totality, you mean to tell me that you said that there's another quarterback? Now, if you want to argue, say the greatest football player for me is Jerry NLT. Okay, fine. But if you're talking about a quarterback, ain't a quarterback better than Tom? Come on, man. Come on, people. If you talk about accomplishments, you're talking about yard, you're talking about what he was able to accomplish, game-wining drives. What metric do you want to use?

[01:15:37]

I don't want to argue. The way he just broke that down is what I've been trying to say. I just couldn't put it in the words that he put in.

[01:15:48]

Words for me. But he's flawed. He's flawed because he said, Jerry is like, braided, you won't give me, and Donnell, chime back in. Tell me the quarterback that's better than Tom.

[01:15:58]

I'm not good with quarterbacks.

[01:16:00]

No, he said, Jerry is like, braided, the most accomplished. I'm asking him to give me a quarterback that's better than braided.

[01:16:08]

You got to ask him.

[01:16:10]

In order for his argument to carry water to a whole weight, he's going to have to give me a quarterback that's better than braided. Ocho, under the same premise, ironically, Sterling should be considered top five because of outside of injury. No wide receiver put up Sterling's number first years first seven years of productivity, Hall of Fame under the Gale Sears rule. I agree, but hey, it is what it is. Blown Covery says, It's funny you found someone to raise your blood pressure other than find someone to raise your blood pressure. Yeah, he does raise my blood pressure. He absolutely does, Blown Covery. He's like the little brother that you got to take somewhere with you everywhere you go or your mom not going to let you go. You got to take it with you and he's annoyed. Who? Me? Yeah.

[01:16:59]

Yeah, I'm waiting on you to take me to first take. Pretend I'm that little brother and bring me on down there. Hey, baby. Hey, baby. I see you. I see you. How are you doing, honey? We're all watching.

[01:17:15]

We're all watching. Now, we're going to say we need to start having a conversation about Puca to Kua being offensive rookie of the year. Cj Strowd has missed two games, and that has to count for something. Absolutely. It absolutely does. Because when you look at Puca's number, he's going to be probably 50. What is Puca, Nacool's number? He's probably going to be 50, 60 on the yards.

[01:17:38]

He's across 1,000 already.

[01:17:39]

Oh, he's way over 1,000.

[01:17:40]

Yeah.

[01:17:42]

He's way over 1,000.

[01:17:43]

Yeah, like what? 1.76 a night?

[01:17:45]

1.67? Yeah, 1:64 I think. He got about 1,300, 1,400. Okay, so we're going to get back to that. I put wifeI put YP onto your highlight tape. She said the Hulk, Hogan Flex, after score to touchdown, lacked creativity. Aside from the Ocho Hall of Fame jacket celebration, what's your favorite TV celebration? Man, I paid Teany, the Palm Pons with Teany, I mean, with Teo.

[01:18:18]

Teo? Hey, that was a classic one.

[01:18:20]

The Sharpie.

[01:18:23]

That was classic.

[01:18:24]

I think Sean Scripps. Yeah, Ocho, you had the golf, the Tiger Woods, where you put it with the Pileons.

[01:18:30]

Yeah, he had just won some Saturday, and I did it the next day.

[01:18:35]

Yeah. Who else? Man, there have been some good ones. Man, you know what? Man, Tyraeke, back flip celebration with the phone.

[01:18:45]

That was live. Do you hear me? That might have been top five right there all the time. Just the fact that you in the middle of a game, you take somebody's phone and record yourself flipping and get the whole thing. That was live.

[01:19:06]

That's only got 11, two, three, two. Yeah. He might be over 1,300 right now, Ojo.

[01:19:15]

Thirteen?

[01:19:18]

Yeah.

[01:19:19]

Wait, Tyreke at 1,500? Yes. He's only 200 behind?

[01:19:24]

But you got to realize Tyreke got a play Sunday. Tyreke missed.

[01:19:27]

The game, remember?

[01:19:28]

Okay, you're right. Tyreke missed the game.

[01:19:31]

Right. Hey, that's a good game. Hey, that cowboy game going to be nice. It's going to be.

[01:19:34]

A great game.

[01:19:35]

That's going to be like Gilmore and Blaine will have their hands full, boy.

[01:19:40]

If Tyreke can play.

[01:19:42]

Oh, he's playing? He's playing. I gave him the remedy.

[01:19:45]

Okay. Well, the thing is, Miami is going to have to run the football because you can't get in a situation where you let Dallas pin the ears back. You see how Buffalo-.

[01:19:54]

What did the Bills do? Run the football. What did the Cardinals do?

[01:19:56]

Run the football. What did the 49ers do? Run the football. Again, thank you for joining us for another episode of Nightcap. I'm your favorite sports uncle, Sharon Sharp. He's your favorite number 85, Chad, Ocho, Cinco, Johnson. Thank you for tuning in tonight. We'll see you again Saturday night, again Sunday night, and again Monday night. We got some great games lined up this weekend, so we have a lot of storylines and a lot more stories to tell. Thank you and.
