Our game. It's not logical. But you contemplate how we can say I think it's logical. What I don't always by a beautiful way shut till you find a win every night. This is the way that has to pray. Tell me why do I do that? Fighting through you raise the waiting.

[00:07:06]

I raise the way.

[00:07:36]

Thank you to Aberdeen. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you as always. Thank you for kicking it off.

[00:07:41]

We are fighting for love.

[00:07:43]

We are here. It is Rangers hurricanes time. I am excited to be with you people. Yes, everybody who's noticed, we are on three different platforms. You can watch this on Twitter, you can watch this on Twitch, you can watch this on YouTube.

[00:07:58]

And all of your chats are now merged.

[00:08:01]

We are pumped to get going here. The anthems are underway right now. I got the anthems right here in front of me with the screen with the game on. I got everybody on the chat here next to me I have the bunch.

[00:08:14]

Of jerk shirt and the Rangers jersey. We are not biased in this stream.

[00:08:21]

Maybe a little towards the Rangers but that's besides the point. We are equal parts and maybe I will grab the shirt of the winner or whoever scores the goal. I will put that one on. You know if the Rangers score first, maybe I'll run back and grab the jersey, throw that on. Maybe if Hurricanes score I just keep this on and I throw the Rangers jersey in the trash.

[00:08:42]

But right now we are impartial.

[00:08:45]

We are just here for a very good time and thank you everybody for joining us. I appreciate you bring out some animals early on when good things happen, we get animals. And good things are happening right now because the anthems are over and the players are hitting the ice. Frederick Anderson's taking his goal right now. Let me know who you think in the chat is going to win today. Let me know who you are rooting for. Igor had a great game one. I thought he had a fantastic game one. He's five and oh, 921 save percentage so far in the playoffs. The only guy who had a better game one than, than Shasturkin was Mika Zabinijad who is on fire. Let's see if the Hurricanes can bounce back. Steal one at MSG. Hey, right away we get Tony west. Shout out Tony west gifting memberships right off the bat. We appreciate that. 933 on the screen right now as there is an icing. If you are trying to time it up with me, you can see the score bug on the screen. There is an SD PN listener, a listener of the Steve Dangle podcast that I must shout out.

[00:10:31]

His name is Ryan, and Ryan is actually the creator of sports score bottom, which is an integration you can do with OBS, which is a streaming, open broadcast, streaming platform that you used to broadcast live. And he made the code for this, the score bug right now. So, like, shout out him for this. He comes up turkey. Turkey Dev. I don't know if I'm giving away your real name, but shout out, turkey Dev. Turkey Dev. Ryan for making the, the code for this score bug greater. Great opportunity early on. Goes high deflected. Anderson doesn't have to make a save. Goes right over the net. The Rangers kept everything. Rangers kept everything intact with their lineup coming in this game. No changes. No changes. Quick shot there by the Hurricanes. Goes right by shasturkin. They're getting a lot of pressure here early on. Shasturkin covers up. That was Jalen Chatfield with the slapper. Good save. Good save. Shasturkin. He's getting tested early. I think as a goalie, like, you always want to be tested kind of early. They always talk about, like, getting into the groove of the game. So it's a good save early on, on Chatfield there for Shasturkin.

[00:11:59]

Face off right now. If you're trying to time it up with what I'm watching, 857 left in the first one shot for Carolina. Everybody in the chat.

[00:12:10]

Welcome.

[00:12:12]

Welcome. Warrior whomps here. Shout out, warrior Wal. Who do you guys have taken this series? In my Stanley cup bracket that I made before the Stanley cup playoffs, I had a Rangers Oilers Stanley cup final. So I'm just kind of rooting for myself to be right. If anything. Hawk says Rangers in five. Marcus Betts says feel the puck. Yeah, I feel like that's the whole goal about the, the goaltender getting that save early on is you want to be able to feel the puck. Kane's in seven. Largal, zero nine. That's another icing on the Rangers here. Going to get a face off. 831 left all the way at the other end.

[00:13:07]

We got a super chat from J Rock.

[00:13:11]

We have all been waiting for a Jesse blake stream for the Rangers. Doesn't matter who wins the game. We, SDP and fans are all winners. Thanks, Jay. Jesse, I appreciate. That's very kind words. Shout out you with the very kind words. That's from j Rock. A super chat. Yeah, you can always super chat when you super chat. I will read your question or comment.

[00:13:38]

A little bit like, this is a.

[00:13:40]

Little bit sloppier hockey than I would have anticipated out of these two teams with two minutes here gone by in the first period. Here's a. Here's a chance. But it's blocked. Great defense by Chatfield. That's Cooley on the drive there. Rangers are passing it in the zone. Soft shot on Anderson. Just trickles through. Carolina sends it all the way down to the other end. And that's Jacob Truba on the other end going to retrieve the puck and hangs out behind the net, waiting to break out. Colton says Rangers Canucks final will be a fun stream. Yeah, I think right now. Let's, let's.

[00:14:30]

Who's.

[00:14:30]

What's the maximum chaos? Finals right now. There's a chance here in front for Zebedee.

[00:14:38]

Jad. Oh, nifty little behind the back.

[00:14:41]

Play goes a little wide. Let's try to think of the most chaotic. Oh, is that a penalty on. On the hurricanes there? Over the glass. Oh, no. I think that guy just caught the puck. Nice. Nice catch by the guy. This is from Jared P. Hoping things are well in mental health land. Yes, they are. Thank you. I appreciate that. Jared something.

[00:15:10]

Oh, bought. Oh, Kevin got it.

[00:15:12]

Kevin nailed it. Kevin nailed it. Same with Lubutzky. The most chaotic final right now. Everybody's saying it. Canucks. Nicole said it too. Canucks. Boston, part two. Electric boogaloo is the most chaotic final we could get right now. Easily. Like 100% easily. If we get that again, both cities will burn down. And that's. I guess that's what I got a root for, right? For the most entertaining final. It's got to be Canucks. Bruins again. And then it'd be. It'd be classic. You know, it goes to game seven. Boston wins. Canuck burn. The Vancouver burns down their city again. There's panarin over to Fox. Fox tries to get a tip out in front. Can't do it. Carolina is trying to go the other way, but they get stopped in neutral zone. Carolina's got it, though. They're entering the zone. Let's see if they can get anything here. Over to ajo. Ajo can't handle it. We'll scrum along the boards. Brock Besser, who I assume is not the real Brock Besser, says Fu. Hawks. No celebrini for you. Yeah, the draft lottery just happened, and the Chicago Blackhawks are not. They didn't win, which is great, which is very good.

[00:16:45]

I think we are all rooting for any team that wasn't the Blackhawks. And San Jose ending up with celebrini is a good thing. I was rooting for the Ducks. Personally, I feel like the Ducks have missed out on so much. They missed out on the Crosby draft. They were right there. They missed out on bedard. They were right there. And I was like, okay. Eventually they got to get one.

[00:17:05]

Great save.

[00:17:06]

Frederick Anderson. Nice save there by Freddy. That was on Zebenajad, who had a nice wrister. Freddy stopped it. Ooh, that was a bit of a hit by, a hit from behind there. Kind of flattened his man Brent burns.

[00:17:24]

Hopping up in the play.

[00:17:33]

Oh, sorry. That was, was that nature's, those natures wasn't burns. My, I'm still, I'm still learning all the numbers guys give me. Don't, don't judge me. Don't judge me for the wrong player names. Oh, great chance in front for New York. And they pile on the goalie. That was Coolie.

[00:18:01]

Is Coolie getting a penalty?

[00:18:06]

No way they give Cooley a penalty for that or they just tell him to go away. Hold on a second.

[00:18:19]

Oh, yeah.

[00:18:19]

They're giving Will Cooley a goalie interference call.

[00:18:23]

Wow.

[00:18:33]

I'm trying, I'm trying. Just waiting for the replay. They're going through all the shots. Ah, I get. Yeah, yeah, cuz, cuz when he, when he came in and he was like trying to squeeze it by the pad, he does the kind of shove of the, of the, of his gloves, of his glove hand to the mask and like, he can't do that. That's, that's a fair call. Jeffy says second week goalie interference call in this series. They're setting a precedent. At least, you know, you can't touch the goalie at all. Carolina is doing some great work out here on the power play. That's where they excel. That's where they really excel. There's number eight, Brent burns. Not 88. Natures good. Clear by New York. They're really covering off the neutral zone here. Hawk said. Yeah, I don't think he means to, but it's unfortunate. Yeah, I think you gotta call that on Coolie. I don't. I like, I'm not up in arms about it. I feel like refs always have a propensity to default to protect the goalie. Cause that's the mandate from the league. Great. Clear again by the Rangers. Kelly Sutherland is reffing this game.

[00:20:01]

So we are going to get some wonky calls. Here's Nietzsche entering the zone. Doesn't take, oh, doesn't take the one timer. Rangers. Clear it again. All right. Rangers is going to kill off this first power play opportunity by the Carolina Hurricanes. Let's get to some of your questions here. I forgot that Wenberg is a ranger. That's from Hawk. This is from. I can't say your name. Psu kar who? Seven numbers you need to know are Kako 24 Aho 20, Kotkanyemi 82. Terravine in 86. Yeah, my thing, my biggest thing with calling this, they're like, doing the watch alongs for this series moving forward is going to be learning all the numbers. Like, I'm pretty good at the numbers. I have some of the broadcasts in my headphones, if you're curious. Like, I can hear, but it's on a, like ten second delay from my visuals because coming from a different source because I can't hear from where I'm watching on the tv. So it's coming from a different source for where I'm listening. So I can hear some of the names and all that stuff, but I gotta get used to all the numbers. I don't have all the numbers down.

[00:21:51]

I'm just gonna get it. I'm gonna get it by, like, game, game three, game four. Maybe I'll have all the numbers now. We'll get there. Is Kelly Sutherland the second worst ref in the entire NHL? I believe so. If we're. If we're ranking worst refs, one, Wes McCauley. Because nobody likes the showmanship of West McCauley to Kelly Sutherland. Because who knows what kind of game you're going to get out of Kelly Sutherland? Let's be honest here. Yeah. The Noah constrictor says, we all know Wes is the worst. I feel like we all just default. Just the same way we say in baseball, angel Hernandez just default. The worst referee. We default Wes McCauley, worst referee. Like, we got a super chat here from rain. Jingras. Rain. What Steve Dangle actually, like, off camera? Great question, rain. And the answer is the exact same. Like, there's really. There's no difference between, like, there's always, like, an on camera Persona and there's an off camera Persona, but if you think he's yelling all the time, no. Like, no, that's not realistic. That's not how a person talks to other people. But in terms of who he is as a guy, like, there's nothing different that he doesn't show through his content that is any different.

[00:23:38]

You know, he sees Steve Dangle and he's. He's not yelling all the time. If people expect that, because all they've seen is like, David Ayers, leafs lose game seven. Leaf lose game seven. Video. Leafs lose game seven. Video. If you've only watched that stuff. Yeah, the Steve dangle that you get in real life is a little different. But if you watch the podcast, like, that's just us talking for 2 hours, and you. You get a pretty good idea of who somebody is if you're a fan of the Steve Dangle podcast, because it's literally just us talking for 2 hours. And there's no real difference in the conversations we have on the show and the cameras that the conversations we have when the cameras are turned off, like, sometimes it'll just be a continuation of those conversations and we just kind of hit record or we'll stop recording and then continue to have those conversations. There's. There's not a big difference. What you get is what you see with, I think, the three of us on the show. If you're a fan of the Steve Daggle podcast, Pucko's out of play here. That was Marty Nietzsche sending it into the crowd.

[00:24:39]

One of my dreams is to get a souvenir puck after attending an NHL game. Like, I go to a game and a puck is in the air and I snag it. I've caught a couple baseballs in my life. I got one I got, like, from a foul ball, and then two I got handed to me when I was, like, fairly little as a kid from players, which was so cool, but I've always wanted to catch a puck. I feel like as an adult, you're still allowed to have that little kid urge when you go, like, sporting events and you're still, like, in awe of the spectacle of it all. Even as a person who works in media, like, don't believe anybody who says they're not a fan of things anymore. We gotta face off. One back by Carolina. They're playing in the corner, trying to see who's gonna come away with this puck. Who's. There he goes. They move it. Carolina keeps it in the zone. Nifty play in front. Tipped out of play once again. Carolina getting a lot of early chances here. That was Slavin with the chance. Oh, we got another super chat here from Tony west.

[00:25:54]

You guys make such great product in the vip. That is more than worthy of the membership. Much love from Newfoundland. Keep up the great work, Jesse. Thank you, Tony. Tony, I appreciate that. Thank you. Very kind words from you. All right, Carolina wins the face off again, but it slips through the zone and they got to go back and retrieve it.

[00:26:29]

Uh oh. One timer out in front.

[00:26:32]

Shasturgen with a huge save. Now he's playing the.

[00:26:39]

If you're a goaltender, tend the goal just to plays it around.

[00:26:43]

It doesn't bite him in the butt. It's all good. New York's able to clear the puck.

[00:26:52]

That was a little dangerous play. Everybody's in the zone and you're coming.

[00:26:55]

Out of your net and sending it around the back.

[00:26:57]

Shaster, kid.

[00:26:58]

Igor getting risky. We got a super chat from Lucas. Lucas, I'll get that to you. Another big save from Justerkin. Nice pad save there. That was Jordan stall with the shot pad saved by Shasturkin. That's Adam Fox working it back in his own zone. This is really, really the Brady Shea revenge series, right? All those years he spent with New York, now on Carolina for a couple of years, gets to face his old, old team, old stomping grounds, try and get revenge on his old teammates because so many of the, the Rangers that were around in what, 2020 when he left? 2021, his first season as a hurricane, like, they're all still there, all the big guys. Brady Shea Revenger is what I'm calling it here. We have a super chat from Lucas. How long till NHL becomes a big league in USA? Well, info on that can be found on agent provocateur with Adam Wilde and Alan Walsh, which is coming out tomorrow morning. They recorded today. And as the producer of that show, I get to sit in on all the recordings and listen in. And it's a topic they talked about how.

[00:28:16]

Oh, my goodness. That's a goal by the Rangers. What a risk. Aristor. Oh, my goodness. Aristor.

[00:28:31]

Who scored that? Who scored that? I need the replay.

[00:28:34]

That. Laugh. Aristar by laugh. Top shelf. Gosh darn.

[00:28:48]

Look at this shot. I'm just watching the replay back. I'm just in awe. Does Keandre Miller's shot gets blocked.

[00:28:56]

Laugh.

[00:28:57]

Picks up the puck off of the block. Shot. Cotton Yemi did his job. Cocky Emmy did the right thing by blocking the shot. You got to block the shot and laugh. Just picks it right up. Scores.

[00:29:08]

That's that Laffy taffy. One nothing.

[00:29:11]

Rangers. What were we talking about? Oh, Lucas. Lucas had asked how long till NHL becomes a big league in USA? And NHL has always positioned itself as, like, the fourth biggest league. But when you break it down to, like, college sports and how big college football really is in America, and now you're talking about women's basketball having one of the highest tv ratings ever because of Caitlin Clark, what she did at Iowa. And then now you're competing with the influx of new soccer fans and mls getting a foothold in some markets in America. Hockey's really going to struggle in the next decade or so to keep up with the amount of sports that it has to compete.

[00:30:07]

Oh, my gosh. They take down just durkin behind the net. That's gotta be a penalty. Was that svest who just ran into Igor? You can't do that.

[00:30:18]

And there's a big scrum. Oh, my goodness. There's a giant scrum by the boards after Shevesnikov runs over Igor.

[00:30:40]

You can't do that.

[00:30:46]

I'm just. Sorry. Sorry. When I just kind of pause and stare, that's when me just waiting for the replay. Gosh darn. Oh, there it is. There it is. Yeah. No, you got to be more careful with your stick there, smash.

[00:31:11]

Oh, he does a little bit of a lean. A little bit of a lean.

[00:31:22]

That's not good. It's not good. We'll see it. We'll see what happens with the power play. They've gone to tv timeout. This is a fun game. Mitch Fish says this game could be fun. It is already fun. We are already off to a fast start. One goal already on the board for New York 755 to take a tv timeout to come back with a power play after Shvesz runs over Igor. This is from all those hard working construction workers who donated $5. Appreciate you for that. There's a little confetti. All those hardworking construction workers, says Mister Blake. As someone with GM experience, what's it like doing business with Chris Jury and Don Waddell? Well, let me tell you what Chris is. Chris. What all those hardworking construction workers is referring to. Also, you need to pick a shorter username. How dare you make me read that out every single time. What they are referring to is I play NHL 24 on on Twitch and on this YouTube channel. I do it. But I was doing it before every single leaf stream that Steve Dangle did here. And I'm trying to build in NHL 24, a franchise winning, Stanley cup winning team for our Toronto Maple Leafs.

[00:32:45]

I call the series one since 67. If you haven't watched it yet, go watch the entire playlist back to front every single time. And I've been very unsuccessful in building a Stanley cup winning team because I have yet to ever win in franchise mode on stream in my one 6167 series a Stanley cup. So I've done quite a bit of work with Chris jury and Don Waddell. I've traded for Adam Fox in the past. I used to scream, what does the Adam Fox say? That was my go to line when he was on my team. But I don't think I have any hurricanes or Rangers on my team right now in franchise mode. The one that we're currently doing, we're in year three and we just swept the first round. We're going the second round. And I think I'll probably hop on there later this week before one of Adam's streams. I don't know if it's going to be tomorrow's stream because we have the podcast in the afternoon. I think that might be a 07:00 start. If it's 10:00 start, maybe I can do it. Or an 08:00 start, maybe I can do it.

[00:33:44]

But, um, I'll definitely hop on there at some point this week. It just makes a little difficult now them streaming this series to do the back to back streams, but we'll get back to it very shortly sometime this week. Zach says, I'm a goalie and I'm not sure that's a penalty.

[00:34:05]

You can't.

[00:34:06]

You can't run the goalie like that.

[00:34:07]

I.

[00:34:08]

The idea that the goalies free reign because he's behind the net is just like, no, that's not how you got a. The way this thing works in the NHL, the way have they've always called it, is you can't touch the goalie. If it's. If it's an egregious touching of the goalie, you're going to get a penalty. I think all NHL ers know that. Sheshnikov's got to know that when he's going around the back. You have to make a concerted effort to avoid Igor in that situation, and he did not. If anything, he kind of leaned in and took what he could out of that play. And it's a penalty. It's two minutes. It's fine. It's nothing more than that. It's not a fine. It's not four minutes. It's not five minutes. It's two minutes. Kill the power play. Carolina's got a good penalty kill. They can do this here. The New York is working behind the net. They were deadly in game number one. It's over to zabinijad. Back to Zubin a jet. Let's see if shot onto the net. Those Fox throwing it@the.net. Nothing really effective, but they're still working the puck. Rider and Trojak were working it and.

[00:35:28]

They still got it. They kept it in the zone, out in front. Big save, Freddy.

[00:35:36]

Well done. Freddie Anderson. Nice little tip by zabinijad. Just working towards the net. Tips it up, but right into Freddy's glove.

[00:35:58]

Oh, New York.

[00:36:01]

New York's power play is looking real good. Crider working that puck around behind the net like that's where he excels.

[00:36:10]

Oh, nice little dump out by Freddie Anderson there. Wow.

[00:36:14]

He's trying to. He sends it all the way. The ICIC gets right over. Who is that hopping? The Rangers player who tried to hop and stop it. Now Panarin's working the puck. They get it back right into the zone, though, and they get back to work. Oh, fuck. Panera into Fox News have been a jet to the one timer which misses and it goes out of play. We got a super chat here from Alberta guy, Leafson seven, who donated $5 to SDP. And we are a small business, so we appreciate every dollar that we get from you guys. So we appreciate you. Thank you. Super chat earns you some confetti. Alberta guy, Leafson seven, says, hey, Jesse, love seeing you do a stream. We will be watching everyone. Night shift is listening on speaker. Rig life.

[00:37:08]

Oh, my gosh.

[00:37:09]

Who scores first for the Kains? First of all, wow, you are a hard working gentleman. Rig life, I assume you work like on an oil rig. Anyway, night shifts in general are like so devastating for the body that anybody who commit to like night shift work, I applaud you. You are holding our society together. Second of all, who scores first for the Kains? Who scores first for the Kains? Shastikov is like, it'd be. It'd be cool to see him get the goal. You know, you run, Igor, they kill the penalty, which they just did. He comes out all fired up, gets the goal. I will bank on Shweshnukov getting the first one. If I can't pick Shegov or if I want to pick somebody second, it'd be aho because aho is just an easy one. Aho is going to score. It's pretty, pretty likely to happen. So. Oh, nice shot by Carolina. Igor with a nice save. Face off in the zone. I believe it went up out of play. We got a couple more super chats here. Hey, Jesse, take my money and say, go, abs, go. There you go. Go, Abs, go. Also, thanks for streaming.

[00:38:35]

Have no idea why I don't have no name. It's Heather. Yeah, Heather.

[00:38:40]

You're.

[00:38:40]

There's no name on your YouTube channels. I don't. I don't know who you are. We're in a tv timeout right now. As you can see, we got the time going on the screen. 515. They're taking tv timeout. It's going to be a face off in the offensive zone for the Carolina Hurricanes. Maybe they win it back. Maybe they get a little pressure because they've been really good on the faceoff draw so far, and they've been getting a lot of pressure when they win. So it's been good for Caroline. I thought, I think, I think everything outside of that, the. Well, the one goal that's gone in like it's been fairly even, I tip, I tip the scales to Carolina on the deserve to win o meter right now on like a 55 45%. But the Rangers are the ones who capitalize on the nice shot by laugh. Picking up off of the block shot there, so. And the power play was looking good, but Carolina stopped it and the. The Rangers stopped the power play for the Carolina. So on the deserve to win o meter, it's probably 55 45 Carolina. But on the score sheet, as we can see, it's one nothing for New York.

[00:39:39]

So, Heather, thank you for the $5. I appreciate you. Here's a lawyer horn. We also got another super chat from Jordan. Jordan sailor says Sheba dog shouting Sheba dog shouting good luck in a megaphone. Sheba dog shouting good luck in a megaphone. Is that you, Jordan? Are. Are you a dog who's learned how to use a computer and watch a stream and understand stand English and then type into the chat? Sheba dog shouting good luck in a megaphone. If you are air horns for you.

[00:40:35]

It's an emoticon.

[00:40:38]

Everybody there, the Noah constrictor said it's an emote. Jesse. It's an emote. It's a motorcar.

[00:40:44]

Oh. So like, is that is what I'm reading. Emotive.

[00:40:48]

Like, did I just read out the emote? Cuz I like what I see on the chat for me is just this, the script. So I read out the emoticon. That's fun. I didn't know the emotes don't show up as emotes on my oh.

[00:41:09]

There's a goal. My oh oh. Shoots one from far out and it's tipped. Who.

[00:41:17]

Who got the tip there? Oh, Jake Gensel with the tip.

[00:41:24]

Wow.

[00:41:25]

Ajo from way out. Tipped by gensoul.

[00:41:28]

That is a goal for Carolina. Bunch of jerks.

[00:41:42]

One more time. That's a goal for the hurricanes.

[00:41:53]

It is tied one.

[00:41:54]

One.

[00:41:55]

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the number one reason why you throw pucks onto the net. It's something I ask out of all.

[00:42:04]

Of my favorite hockey teams, aka the Toronto Maple Leafs.

[00:42:07]

Just throw it on net. Good things happen. Ajo from way out.

[00:42:12]

Hits off gensel in the back of the net. One one tied.

[00:42:16]

Fool.

[00:42:17]

Shasturkin, how are you going to stop that? Carolina's back in this. It's a game, everybody.

[00:42:22]

Matt rempy show is happening.

[00:42:27]

The Matt rempy show is underway.

[00:42:29]

He is on the ice causing mayhem.

[00:42:32]

We have been waiting for this moment.

[00:42:34]

He took the face off at center ice. He entered the offensive zone looking for the puck. Went right at freddy. Sprayed him with a little snow. Carolina didn't like that. The Rembryer state buildings being smothered by the referees. Here we go, everybody. Here we absolutely go.

[00:43:03]

The crowd at MSG is fired up for Matt Rempy. Puck's going the other way for Carolina. Jake ensil, second goal. The playoffs here. That puck's at a play over the boards is repeating. Going to stay out there for extended shift. I think he goes back to the bench. He's been out there for like a minute now. Try to.

[00:43:28]

Oh. Repey laid the body on Jalen Chatfield behind the play. Rempy goes hard at Jalen Chatfield. Takes his helmet right off. Oh my goodness.

[00:43:43]

Somebody control this kid. He cannot control himself. Tip shot goes wide. Igor doesn't have to make a save. J money says Rempy is shorter than you. Jesse, I heard repeat is not shorter than me. Nobody on earth is shorter than the repire state building. Shout out Jalen Chatfield. That is an underrated player. I don't know if you guys like, if everybody here watches the content on the Steve Dangle podcast, but we did a, a series preview for the Hurricanes Islander series and I. What did I do? I said, jalen Chatfield was like, I won. I said, maybe he'll make the lineup because he was like, scratch late in the season. I was looking at the daily face off lines. He played like 76 games that season. I was like, oh, maybe I'll make the lineup, but I just want to shout him out because I'm a fan of his game. He's a puck. Moving defense means a big body. And I called him young, too. And he's like 29. Like, he's not young at all. Anyway, shout out Jalen Chatfield. And shout out me for being completely wrong on his hockey db page. Lot of good pressure here from Carolina.

[00:45:19]

Nice save by Shasturkin again, I believe that was Jordan Stahl around the back of the net. Old man stall still getting to work. Carolina's looking really good. Aho's trying to drive. He gets taken down there by Panarin. Panera not the best ever at defense, but he, he worked aho there. I don't know, like that. I guess it was aho at the puck. So, like, there's no penalty there, just a weird takedown. We got a super chat here. Let me see. From Brockbester. Shout out Brockbester with the super chat. I hope that's the real Brock bester. Here's some confetti for Brock Bester. A nice shot out front by Jacob Truba, and it has blocked it out of play.

[00:46:13]

Now that the puck is out of.

[00:46:14]

Play, we can get to the super chat. Brock Messer says, go Canucks. Go Canucks, go. Go Canucks, go. The McCry babies are losers. Gonna be another party. Part arty party.

[00:46:28]

We will see about that.

[00:46:30]

You're very confident. I assume you are because you are on, because you're a Brock Messer himself. So you should be confident. But Edmonton's good. Edmonton's good and they're playing good right now. In the past, like sometimes when Edmonton's in the playoffs, you know, you, you can catch it. You can catch Edmonton at moments where they're just giving a bunch, giving up a bunch of goals and their scoring can't outscore their problems. But right now, Edmonton is playing a brand of hockey that works in the playoffs. Them beating LA one nothing is the scariest thing ever. If you're Vancouver, you want every game in that Edmonton. La seer. Oh, is that.

[00:47:15]

There's a takedown. Is that a penalty? No penalty called there on Carolina on.

[00:47:22]

The trip there in the middle of the zone. I didn't catch who brought him down, but no hand up from the officials is the call on the broadcast. And we keep play going. I don't like, I don't know if you call that. I don't think that was too bad of a call. He could have gone either way. You take down the man with the stick. I'd like to see the replay, but no penalty there. We'll get back to Edmonton. Vancouver talk in a moment, but there's a lot of action. Carolina is very good, able, being able to keep it out of the zone. They're working behind the net here. Can't get around.

[00:48:12]

Oh, I think we have a penalty.

[00:48:15]

Comptois and Rempy are going at it. Nason and Kiandre Miller are going at it.

[00:48:32]

Everybody. This is a chippy first period.

[00:48:35]

What's the call here? Is it on Keandre Miller?

[00:48:48]

Oh, Mason's going to the penalty box for what?

[00:48:57]

Is Nason going just for the.

[00:48:59]

There's no way. Oh, they called Mason just for slashing.

[00:49:08]

Like, chipping back and forth.

[00:49:12]

Okay. No, no.

[00:49:13]

Okay. Four on four. Four on four. Okay. Nathan got the cross checking call, and then Goodrow got the tripping. Okay, so Goodrow. All right, let's break this down here, Brockmaster. I'm gonna. We'll get back to some Canucks oiler stock for you. But what happened here? And locky 14. I got to get to your super chat as well. What happened here? Nason and Miller are battling, and they call a penalty on Nason because they say he went too hard at K Andre Miller. So they gave him the penalty because of their little battle. And then while the delayed penalty is happening, Barclay Goodrow cross checks caught Kanyemi in the back, and they call Barclay Gujarat on that. I think it's weird for me, as an unbiased fan of both teams, it's weird to me that you call Nason when they're going back and forth and, like, Keandre Miller doesn't get anything but. And then it's also weird that Barclay, Barclay Gujarat got this kind of ticky tack cross checking call and key Andre Miller didn't get. If anything, I think it should be four on four, and it should just be, like, four on Kiel.

[00:50:52]

Oh, there's a goal. That is a goal from Carolina. 5.4 seconds left in the period. They throw it on net. Good things happen when you throw it on net. That's a goal for Carolina. That's Orlov. Oh, wow. Orlov with an amazing tip. Oh, tip drill. Wow.

[00:51:36]

Go to the net if you're a defenseman, get your stick up.

[00:51:40]

Have a little tip drill. Score a goal. Well done, Carolina.

[00:51:45]

And the closing moments of the first period.

[00:51:49]

They go up two one to close it out.

[00:51:53]

That is a backbreaker for New York. You think you get to intermission tied one one this, four on four. And you let Orlov get to the.

[00:52:01]

Front of the net and practice some tip drills. Wow. Wow.

[00:52:13]

All right. All right. We'll take an intermission break here shortly. Young, young demon says that's a tough goal to give up for New York. I 100% agree. That is a real tough goal late in that period. Adam wild would hate that goal. He hates goals that happen late in a period. All right, let's get to this super chat here. How long until the hurricanes bring in noted tough guy Julian McKenzie to keep rempe in check? So what, first of all, thank you, locky, 14 for the super chat. Appreciate it. Appreciate it. A whole bunch. Justin Fisher, by the way. Just let me know. I'm sorry. I gotta check my text. Justin, a little quicker. Let me know that when I was. When I was reading out that megaphone shiba inu text, that was an emote. Yes. And I was seeing it as text. Thank you, Justin, for the heads up. I appreciate that. How long till the Hurricanes bring in noted tough guy julian McKenzie to keep rempe in check? If you didn't listen to the Chris Johnson show yet, you have to. It came out today. Came out this afternoon. Go listen to it after you watch me on stream.

[00:53:27]

There's a story in there about Julian Mackenzie, co host of the Chris Johnson show, because. And he tells the story about how he got suspended from men's ball hockey league. It's an incredible thing to happen. And they just laugh. Chris laughs at him, and the Internet has now laughed at him because the story is out there. But, like, being suspended in a ball hockey league is an incredible achievement. And the nicest guy in the world is Julian McKenzie. And it's just crazy that he achieved that. And, yeah, go listen to him talk about it, how embarrassed he is, and then go check out all the social media that's happened around it. SDP and put out a statement regarding Julian Mackenzie and his suspension from his men's ball hockey league. Thank you for that super chat, Locky 14.

[00:54:13]

All right, let's go to.

[00:54:14]

Let's go to intermission here. Thank you for hanging out. I'm gonna play a clip of Steve Dangle. He's picking his round two teams. He did his round two every series he went through, and he picked every team that he thinks is gonna win. So I'm gonna play that for you. I'll play that clip, and then when that clip's done, I'll hop back on stream with you and we'll watch the second period. It's two one, Carolina. It's been one hell of a battle so far. It's been super chippy. Lots of offensive chances, lots of shots on goal, a little bit of controversy.

[00:54:47]

I've had fun.

[00:54:48]

Let's go do this.

[00:54:49]

Let's keep going.

[00:54:50]

I'm gonna play this clip, and we'll get back right after intermission.

[00:54:54]

Round two.

[00:54:55]

Except round two's already begun because it began before round one even ended. So this is my round two preview around the NHL with the slight asterisk that the Rangers and Hurricanes have already started. And when we look at those series, we're gonna look at how I did in round one, which was, uh, mixed bag.

[00:55:11]

You know what?

[00:55:12]

How about we start with the series that's already started, the New York Rangers taking on the Carolina Hurricanes now in round one. I said that the Rangers would beat the Washington Capitals in five games because it's really hard to sweep in the NHL.

[00:55:26]

Well, they did it.

[00:55:27]

Carolina Hurricanes, different story, I said, and this was easily my worst pick and I had some bad ones, but this was the worst one. I said that the New York Islanders would. Would find a way to win in seven over Carolina. From game one of that series, I'm like, that's a dumb pick, dude. It wasn't good. It was a combination of two things. I didn't know Carolina was quite that good, but I thought the Islanders would put up a bigger fight than that. And the series was a little bit more even than the Rangers capital's one was the Islanders put up a little bit more of a fight. The Hurricanes were absolutely overwhelming. One of this series, following the theme of most of the non Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oiler series in these playoffs, it was locked down. The shots were only 23 to 25 in favor of the Rangers. Despite that, the Rangers scored four goals on those 23 shots against Freddie Anderson. And that's going to be a huge thing in this series. Can Freddy have a better time than that? Because since returning from his blood clot, Anderson's been really good and the Hurricanes have been fantastic around him.

[00:56:33]

But the Rangers are just getting these big performances from their big players. A goal from Trochak in game one, a goal from Panaran in game one, and Zabanijad, who hasn't had a zabanijad like season up to this .2 goals in game one, which should send a shiver up every Hurricanes fan spine. I wonder if after game two, let's say the Rangers go up 20 and it's obvious that freddy is just getting lit up. Like, what would it take for the Hurricanes to turn to Kachkov? These are two fantastic teams. I just feel like if you have to switch your starting goalie in this series because it's so tight, it might already be too late. I gotta be particularly gentle with Carolina Hurricanes fans. Cause I feel bad. Like I was disrespectful in round one. That was a disrespectful pick. But it would be disrespectful to pick the Hurricanes over the New York Rangers. One, because the Rangers are already up one. Nothing in the series, but two. I have the Rangers coming out of the Eastern Conference, or at very least I did before the playoffs began. Will that prediction change? Well, ask me again in a couple of weeks, this series is going to be tight.

[00:57:38]

It's going to be high octane. I think you're going to see big performances from big players. Ultimately. Madison Square Garden, game seven. The Rangers win it. Staying in the east, the Boston Bruins take on the Florida Panthers. Ooo, this is gonna be fun. Hey, gonna let you in on a little secret. They don't like each other. To me, this series is about what you believe in, logic or magic. Because logically, there were a few really quick series in the first round this year. Like, obviously, the Rangers dispatched to the Washington Capitals. No one was surprised by that, though. Even if you had the Florida Panthers beating the Tampa Bay lightning in round one, I doubt it was in five games. The Panthers mauled the Lightning. Mauled them like no one's done to them since the Blue Jackets. Weirdly enough, in 2019. Like, even last year when the Lightning lost in round one to the Leafs, that was a really tight series. The Panthers brutalized this team early in the series, and basically no one on the D corps was left healthy by the end of it, to the point where they're like, who can we use?

[00:58:40]

I don't know, the guy with the broken leg, which isn't totally true. It was broken. Meanwhile, you get the Boston Bruins, who have to go seven games with the Leafs and blow a three one series lead and eat overtime in that 7th game, obviously not looking nearly as strong in their first round series as the Panthers did. But here's where the magic comes in. The Boston Bruins narrowly avoided becoming the first team to blow a three one series lead in north american sports in back to back years. North american sports. I'm talking hockey, basketball, baseball. They would have had to wear that forever, but they don't now. They won. After a bad game five and game six, Jim Montgomery challenges David Postornak. What does Pasternak go out and do? He gets destroyed by a huge hit in the first period of game seven, gets up off the mat and wins the series for Boston with speed, with goal scoring ability. It was a nasty goal. So if you believe in the magical approach to all this, the Bruins take a lot of momentum into their series with the Panthers, and they're feeling really good about themselves.

[00:59:49]

Maybe the Panthers with the long layoff, they're fat and happy going into the next round. Eh, we already know that's not going to happen because they won their second round series against Toronto last year in five games and then responded in the Eastern Conference final by sweeping the Hurricanes. I think it'll be rest, not rust for the Florida Panthers, it'll be a good thing for them. All their best players are clicking. Sergey Bobrovsky stopping a lot of pucks. The Bruins really locked up the neutral zone in the front of their net in their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. I just feel like Florida's gonna be able to push through all that. Oh, and they might actually get a power play goal. I wouldn't be shocked if the Florida Panthers got more power play goals in game one of this series than the Leafs did in seven. I'm debating between six or seven games, but I'm such a believer in this Florida Panthers team. They're just so well made. I have the Panthers winning this one in. Ah, I'm still making the decision in the moment. Six.

[01:00:48]

Six.

[01:00:48]

Florida Panthers in six. Let's go to the west. Ooh, what do we do first? Now I'm gonna make you wait on the all canadian one. Let's do the Dallas Stars taking on the Colorado avalanche. Ooh, this is juicy. A rematch of their really underrated, super magical 2020 series from the bubble. That was unreal. S t a r s rookie Joel Kiviranta finishing off the Avalanche, and Michael Hutchinson, who was a net for the Avalanche for some reason, finishing them off with a hat trick. These are two teams that had the opposite first round that a lot of people thought thought they should have. I was wrong about the avalanche in round one. I thought they would go down to the Winnipeg jets in six. Now, that is largely not because I didn't believe in the Avs. They're a great team. I thought the jets were going to be better than that. Their defense, their goal tending, and then hearing Connor Hellebuch after that series talking about how good he felt, how confident he felt, how he was able to just play without thinking about it, and all the pucks were getting past him without him even seeing it.

[01:01:55]

How isn't that terrifying for anyone who has to take on the avalanche next? Well, if you're the Dallas Stars, the reason you're not terrified of that is because you just had to play a loaded up Vegas Golden Knights team in the first round, even though you were one point off from winning the president's trophy.

[01:02:15]

That's not fair.

[01:02:16]

The stars fell down to nothing in that series, won three straight, lost game six, and they win a tight game seven against Vegas. But if you watch that game seven stars were pretty much the better team from the jump. With most teams, you can kind of look and be like, ah, this might be their Achilles heel. Or that. Or that. The Dallas Stars don't really have weaknesses. Their defense is a combination of mobile and physical, and they're all huge. Oh, and they just survived a series against the Vegas Golden Knights, who are bigger than anyone else. They have probably the craziest scoring depth in the National Hockey League. And Jake Ottinger is dialed. The Colorado Avalanche overwhelmed the Winnipeg jets with top end talent. Kale McCarr. Nathan McKinnon. They just didn't have an answer for these guys. They didn't have the personnel on the back end, which sounds weird to say, because the jets were so good defensively all year. But, like, who are you matching against? Nathan McKinnon. Right.

[01:03:14]

Who's that?

[01:03:14]

Who are you gonna shut Nathan McKinnon down with? Not to mention, defense is a team construct. It's not just about throwing one defender on them and velcroing them. Nathan McKinnon.

[01:03:26]

You can't.

[01:03:26]

But the thing is, if anyone can, it's the Dallas Stars. Is Merrill Heiskin and Kale Makar? No, but he's probably one of the most underrated players in the NHL, and he's gonna be a huge factor for the stars. What's going to be a huge factor for this series, I think, is fatigue. Like that series with the Stars and the Golden Knights was not an easy one at all. Colorado Avalanche, shockingly, shockingly, just dismissed the Winnipeg jets in five, and they have all this time to just chill, lick their wounds. Maybe the biggest question mark in the series is Alexander Georgiev, who was terrible in the first game of the jets series, but then really locked it down, and the team locked it down around that, and they scored five or more goals in five straight games. If it comes down to goaltending, Jake Ottinger, advantage, man, I was gonna say Dallas stars in six, but I'm manifesting a seven game series here. We deserve a seven game series between these two incredible teams. If it does go seven, that's gonna be difficult for the legs of the Dallas Stars. Difficult. I still have them winning this one, though.

[01:04:36]

They're just so deep and so good. Most underrated team in the league. Which leaves us with an all canadian series, guaranteeing a canadian team will be in the Western Conference final. Guaranteeing there will be a canadian team in the final four of the 2024 Stanley cup playoffs. The Edmonton Oilers taking on the Vancouver Canucks. Boy, you talk about a stylistic switch up for the Vancouver Canucks. There were the Nashville Predators, who would not let them breathe at all for any moment, wouldn't let them get a shot through, wouldn't let them get a shot on goal. The Canucks basically Brock Bessard their way through that series. The Canucks needed three goalies. Thatcher Demko hurt. Casey de Smith hurt. They go to Archer Sealovsky and the dude gets a shutout in the elimination game. Are you kidding? Gritty series win, great series win. But now they take on the Edmonton Oilers. There's another team who pulled off an unlikely defensive and goaltending performance. Not with a third stringer, certainly, but taking on the LA Kings. If I were to tell you one team was going to win a game, won nothing in this series, who do you think it was going to be?

[01:05:49]

The Kings? Because that's how they have to win against the Edmonton Oilers. Well, they didn't. I don't know if you've seen any of the mic'd up stuff from that series. Zach hyman just talking to Ryan Nugent. Hopkins, hey, do this. And then he scores two goals and says they can't defend that. This is a team that basically exclusively played the trap. It was a brutally physical series, and the Oilers were the more physical team. They mauled these guys. Listen, Canucks preds was really tight, and the preds dictated a lot of that series. Even though the Canucks were ultimately victorious, the Oilers punched through the rock wall of the LA Kings like they were made of construction paper. The preds have some good weapons. Philip Forsberg, super underrated. But McDavid and Hymen and Dri Seidel, and it looked like Evander Kane turned it on and had another notch. And Nugent Hopkins and Evan Bouchard with the bush bomb that is going to be so hard to contend with, especially with Quinn Hughes, even though he had five points in six games. Obviously skating around like he's not quite at 100%. I thought about saying five. I'm still thinking about saying five.

[01:07:02]

I'll give the Canucks some credit. I'll give them a win just because of Michael Buble. Spoilers in six. Don't look at me like that. Producer Drew said four. So those are my round two picks. What do you think? Leave your picks in the comment box down below. But for now, that is it for this one. Thank you very much for watching. Click like if you like this video, click subscribe to SDPN if you really liked it. Tell all your friends. Enjoy the second round. You have no option. It's already begun.

[01:07:37]

Thank you, Steve Dangle. Thank you, Steve Dangle. That was wonderful. You can go back to sleep now with your new baby and your book being done and your other child, who's very young, you are heavy at work making videos and doing all that stuff, but thank you for our intermission entertainment. Let's get back to the chat. Now that we are here and we are back, I am impartial. As you can see. I have the Canucks or the Canucks, the bunch of jerk shirt on, and I have the rangers jersey behind me. So like, I'm fair and biased. I'm fair and balanced, I should say. As we wait for the second period to start, we're still intermission here. The panel on Sportsnet just got wrapped up, and I think we're a couple minutes away from puck drop of period number two. Let me know in the chat what is up. We were talking about the Oilers and Canucks towards the end of the first period there, before the Carolina hurricanes stormed back and scored another goal to go up to one, I was, I was thinking about how I was talking about how the Oilers are playing a different brand of hockey that I haven't seen out of the Oilers in, like, ever.

[01:08:53]

I don't remember the Oilers having the ability to win a one nothing game like they did against the LA Kings. And when the Oilers are playing like that, it's scary. And it should be scary for every other team in the National Hockey League because the offense is always going to come with the Edmonds and Orleans. They have Conor McDavid, they have Leon Drysidel, they have Zach Hyman in for Shaq Hymen, shoveling pucks into the net from 2ft away. They have a great ability to score, so I'm never worried about that. And if they can, on top of that, play terrific defense, I'm worried. I'm worried for the Canucks. But the Canucks showed in period, number period in series number one against national predators. This ability to play just completely uneventful hockey and and when you're able to do that and just have nothing happen in an entire game against another team who's trying to have nothing happen in the entire game, it's it might be an effective way to win a playoff series against the Oilers. Like if they can get them into this game where it's no event hockey.

[01:10:09]

Throw out the window.

[01:10:10]

My thing about, like, the offense might come, maybe Rick Talkett can just scheme and get this team to play this next level of defense and you can win a couple, three, one games, two o games against the Edmonton Oilers. I think this is going to be such a closer series that people are giving credit for. I feel like a lot of people are writing off Vancouver because of the star power on Edmonton. Vancouver also has star power. Like, let's not forget that. And I think this is going to be a really tight series. And right now my lean is to Edmonton, but I'm like trying to convince myself that Vancouver could win it. It's going to be so tight and we are getting ready here.

[01:10:49]

Puck drop, period number two. Here we go.

[01:10:53]

Oh, the linesman is waiting. There's some sort of delay. Let me get my audio on for myself so I can hear what's going on. There we go. Drop the puck, period number two is underway. We are still at four on four after those penalties at the end of the first period. Hope we get more high scoring action. It's been a wonderful being with you so far in this game. Rangers are circling around trying to enter the zone. They dump and they chase. Brent Burns goes back to collect it. There's the Benjad who can't keep it in the zone. And it's the other way up the ice for the Carolina Hurricanes. Believe those. Jake Gensler got the puck taken off him behind the net. Now the Rangers are going the other way.

[01:12:13]

Nice shot on goal there.

[01:12:14]

Oh, by New York in a big rebound, but it swatted away first. Early chance in the second goes to the Rangers. They handcuffed Freddy there. Huge rebound, but he's Una. They're unable to come away with it. That was Martin Duck who shot it off a Cooley stick. And we have another face off. Trying to break up some of the stats here. The regular season for the Carolina Hurricanes, but the NHL doesn't make it easy. Sebastian Ajo, 36 goals this year. I feel like that's a little below where he's usually at, is it not now a career high of 38 and 68 games in 1920. In the 1920 season. 37. In 21, 22. 36. In 22 23 36 and 23, 24.

[01:13:43]

Nah. Oh.

[01:13:44]

Still got his. Still got his score and touch. He hasn't fallen off. He's still right there. We got a penalty here. Is that on nature? On Truba? A high sticking on, on truba. Show me this replay. That was the shot on Nate. Nature took the shot. Oh, and then Truba gets. Who is that jury in front? That was a good shot.

[01:14:32]

Yeah.

[01:14:32]

The broadcast made a great point about the carrot. The Hurricanes are like trying to feast on Shasturkin's blocker side. Seems like they're really trying to go after that area.

[01:14:47]

Penalty. That's a penalty on stress. Nikov. Right off the draw, Carolina was on the power play for literally 2 seconds. And Smesh has called for interference. Oh, no.

[01:15:11]

Oh, no. That's not great at. Lee says death, taxes and fresh penalties, not great. Melo says that was another game for Milos. Milos says that was not a penalty. I don't know.

[01:15:35]

I think Igor got way out of his net to play that puck.

[01:15:39]

Igor, you are a goaltender.

[01:15:41]

Tend the goal.

[01:15:44]

Oh, my goodness.

[01:15:46]

Mika's Abin Aja through the legs. Can't complete it.

[01:15:51]

We are getting some end to end action here.

[01:15:54]

Here's Ojo on the break. What's he got? Can't feed it.

[01:16:00]

He gets the puck back around. We had some open ice with this four on four play a ho again. Trying to dangle. I think that's Brady Shea with the puck there.

[01:16:16]

Brady Shea feeds it out in front. Can't complete the one timer.

[01:16:29]

That was gensle who couldn't put it home there.

[01:16:34]

Wow.

[01:16:35]

Brady Shay ci this four. They should just play the whole game at four on four. Who needs five on five? We have four on four. This is exceptional hockey. We got so chat, chat. Let's talk for a second. Why crab?

[01:17:08]

People crab.

[01:17:10]

If you want to drop some crab emojis in the chat, I'd greatly appreciate that chat. Why are you arguing about the Canucks and Oilers? Oh, another one timer by the Hurricanes has failed. They can't tip that one home. That was nature, I believe. Who couldn't find the tip now? Chatfield just got it up against the boards. And finally the puck comes loose and New York gets it. Oh, out front. Carolina can't squeak it home.

[01:17:54]

The stall is doing a great job.

[01:17:56]

Keeping it in there. Carolina is applying the pressure here. Great save on the Brent burn shot by Igor Shasturkin.

[01:18:12]

Uh oh. Igor keeps playing the puck. Stop playing the puck, Igor. Oh, my gosh. Fret you. Goes off the crossbar now it's out in front again. It's a pilot in the front is that stall. Who can't bang it home.

[01:18:29]

Oh, my goodness. Igor, please stop playing the puck. The hurricanes are looking great. New York needs to do something here to calm this, and they can't just hold the puck.

[01:18:48]

Hold the puck.

[01:18:49]

Finally, sister again gets the puck, holds it, and there's a face off. My goodness. Watching the replay right now of when Shasturkin went halfway down the the zone to play that puck when Gensler was coming to get it. The plane that showed in the replay, too, of Shreshnikov hitting the post. It went right off of Shasturkin's shoulder there, and it hit the crossbar and post, I believe.

[01:19:29]

Wow.

[01:19:30]

Great chance there by Carolina. Justin says you might have to get a clip of Steve saying, if you're a goaltender, tend the goal. Yeah, I feel like that'd be a good button. I got a lot of buttons here. I feel like Steve yelling if you're a goal.

[01:20:12]

Ted Nerd.

[01:20:13]

Nicole would be a fantastic button. There's been so much more Oilers Canucks talk then Leaf talk in the chat tonight. I'm surprised. I thought we get a lot of, lot of leaf stakes, but I guess those have been exhausted over the last, what, 72 hours. It's now on to the teams that survived. We got icing there, I believe pucks go on the other end. Got a super chat from Joe. Icing against the Hurricanes. I drew the Rangers in a simple pool at work. If your teams win the cup, you win 1530 packs of beer.

[01:21:01]

Oh, my God. Go Ranger.

[01:21:03]

Yeah. Go Rangers. Just for Joe. Oh, my goodness. I hope you win. I got the Rangers winning the cup. In my bracket. I have oilers Rangers. That was my pre, my pre playoffs pick. We'll see how it pans out. But, like, Carolina is so good, they might, they might take down the Rangers in this round. Right off the face off goes back to Freddy. Freddy covers it up so they can change the players who are out there on the icing. And what we have here is a television timeout, people. We are in a tv timeout. It is time for us to chillax, get a sip of water, have a good time, sit back, enjoy the show, enjoy the fact that we're all watching hockey together. And that's a beautiful thing. Hockey brings people together. Social media, YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, wherever you're watching brings people together. And I appreciate that. I'm gonna bring out our friends here for a little intermission dance. There's our snail friend. There's our dancing chicken. And there is Mister Giraffe. They love the elevator music, and they love entertaining you just like I do. Round of applause for all of you watching tonight.

[01:22:43]

JSK says, jesse, do you think New York ties it up?

[01:22:47]

Yes.

[01:22:48]

Yes, I do. If I'm, if I'm going off anything like in how the game's been going, I think based on what we've seen so far, we're in for like a five four ending. That's what I'm rooting for, is like a five four to this game. I think Rangers tied up. Carolina might take the lead again. Rangers might go up to Carolina comes back and they tie it after they blow the two goal lead, and then somebody wins. Five four in a very eventful game is what I'm in. Anticipating here. As we get back to the action, let me get the play by play back in my ear from the broadcast. They're getting ready to drop the puck here. They're showing some replays of the goals that happened earlier. Carolina, both of their goals. Throw the puck on the net. Throw the puck on the net. That's how they've been scoring their goals, both of them. So if they just keep doing that, who knows how many tips they can get? How many more lucky bounces it'll generate. But I expect a lot more goals coming based on how this game's been going. Carolina has been buzzing.

[01:24:13]

Get the face off. And Carolina sends it deep. Igor plays it again. Cause he's. He can't stop playing the puck. Carolina now trying to make something happen.

[01:24:44]

We got a one on one.

[01:24:51]

Puck goes wide. We got two on two. Now going the other way. Rangers Panarin's there. Drops it back to Fawkes.

[01:24:59]

Fawkes passes it in front. And that's a Rangers goal. What a pass by Adam Fox. Ladies and gentlemen. That's O'Rangers goal. It's 22. Oh, my goodness. Who got that tip? Is that laugh for number two? Laugh scores his second of the game. Oh, yes. What a beauty. Adam Fox sends it right through the.

[01:25:36]

Front of the crease.

[01:25:37]

Freddy can't slide over. And that is a New York Rangers goal.

[01:25:42]

Everybody.

[01:25:42]

It is two two.

[01:25:54]

As Hawk underscore 23 writes in the chat, we are officially, officially on hat trick watch for Alexis Lafreniere. Hat trick watch everybody. Of your hats already. Adam Fox. What a dish. What a dish by Mister Fox. That's all him there. Whoever asked me if New York would tie it up. There's your answer right there. Two two. Who you got winning the game? Who you got scoring the next goal? What a battle we've had so far. And like neither goaltender, like I'm thinking about the goals. Neither goaltender is really to blame for anything. The first shot, that Lafreniere shot was just a great one. Like, I don't think Freddy should have had that. That's a great one. Timer. You can't. That's impossible to stop. The two on Igor were from the blue line and then were tipped in front.

[01:27:11]

Oh, here's a chance for the Rangers again.

[01:27:14]

And it's tipped wide. That was Cooley and Wenberg who tried to.

[01:27:24]

Oh, my goodness. Is that trueba? Who just ran over someone behind the Rangers net?

[01:27:31]

What a hit. Stefan Nason gets run over by Truba.

[01:27:43]

Gustafson pushing guys in the pile.

[01:27:51]

I believe that's a penalty. No. Yeah. Coolie needed. They're showing the replay of the Cooley one timer. He should have had that one. Oh, and they showed the replay of the Truba hit on Nason.

[01:28:07]

Oh, what a shove.

[01:28:14]

Oh, my goodness. Okay, so, yeah, they are calling Truba for tripping here. Truba goes to the box for tripping. Another power play here for Carolina. Hopefully, for the sake of all Carolina Hurricanes fans, Andre Stretchnikov does not take a penalty. 2 seconds into this power play, we have a. We have a super chat from Lucas.

[01:28:47]

Lucas. Shout out Lucas. Here's some confetti for Lucas.

[01:28:50]

Oh, nice. Slapper from the blue line by Brent Burns, gloved by Shasturkin. Here is our super chat from Lucas. Should canadian teams be worried about drafting american players because the Fox go chase situation. No, it's all, I don't think, like, Canadians don't even want to play in Canada. Sometimes, like, I feel like you can't. Going into your draft process has to be like, okay, can this guy stomach playing in a Montreal? Kenny stomach playing in Toronto? Can he play in Winnipeg? Is he going to be okay with playing somewhere remote like Winnipeg? You know, that's got to be a part of your draft evaluation process. But in terms of, like, avoiding guys just because they're american or something like that, I don't think you can do your scouting like that. I don't think you can do your signing like that. Obviously, if guys a preference to play somewhere, you're gonna go after that kind of player. But Canadians don't want to play in Canada as much as Americans don't want to play here. Americans don't want to play some places. A lot of guys don't want to play in California because of the tax. There's a host of reasons that somebody may or may not want to play in a certain market, and you're just going to bank on, oh, there's a play out in front.

[01:30:05]

Almost pots at home.

[01:30:07]

Carolina does on the power play. They've gotten some great pressure here. I believe that Seth Jarvis, who almost squeaks it by Ser Sterkin, but a fantastic save, does the splits there.

[01:30:21]

And now everybody's going after Gensoul.

[01:30:24]

Gensoul said something to Trochak.

[01:30:27]

Oh, Goetzel just punched him in the face. That's a penalty. Genzel just punched Adam Fawkes in the face. You can't do that. Jake Genzel, you're on the power play. You can't punch people in the face. Oh, my.

[01:30:45]

That Rod Brendemore is gonna be on your rear end.

[01:30:50]

You can't punch people in the face.

[01:30:52]

Jake Genzel. Rod's upset, and he should be upset at one person, and that's Jake Tro Trek got him. Trochek got him to debate on that. Oh, my goodness. What a play in front by shasturkin to save this f Jarvis play. So they're doing the replay. They're doing the replay here.

[01:31:15]

Lindgren, he crosschecks. He cross checks 100%.

[01:31:19]

That's a cross checking on Seth Jarvis. Great save by shasturkin. Oh, my goodness. And then there's a scrum in the scrum.

[01:31:31]

Trocheck comes over all.

[01:31:33]

Trochak comes over to Genzel. They start talking. Gentle is taken away by officials. Adam Fox get it. Gets in there.

[01:31:40]

And then Jake gentle left hand. Floyd Mayweather right in the face to Adam Fox. There goes your power play.

[01:31:50]

All done. 50 minutes on the power play. Once this four on four finishes up for New York.

[01:31:57]

Damn.

[01:31:59]

He saw red and he took it. Evan. So we don't call cross checking. I thought that was a focus on the league. 100%. It was a cross check in the back. Lindgren got him right in the numbers. Seth Jarvis was shooting the puck, and he got cross checked. That is a thing that happened. They did not call it. That's NHL officiating for you, Jake Genzel. I don't care if it was a dive. I don't care if it looked like Adam Fox just got hit with a bomb and he went down and he got hit by a two by four in the face. I don't care. You can't punch somebody in the face. That's your own fault. If he dives, that's your fault. Like, you can't punch somebody that hard in the face like that. That's a bad penalty. If I'm Rod, like, I'm not. I can't blame the referees on that one. You got to call that 100 times out of 100. If he's punching guys while you're trying to hold them back as a linesman. But also crosstrek in the back didn't get called. All right, now we're at four on four. What an eventful game.

[01:33:06]

Everything is happening, as Bob Cole would say. Bob Cole, what a career. What a life. The New York Rangers trying something here, but they're now just playing with the puck in the neutral zone. Let's get back to the super chats. This is from brock Besser, not the real Brock besser. I will send you some confetti's. Brock besser for the super chat. Thank you. He writes, my heart goes out to you, leaf fans. You deserve better w adam wild for cheering for a real team. Go canucks. Go.

[01:33:52]

Yeah.

[01:33:53]

If you're not aware, adam Wilde is doing the Canucks Edmonton Oilers stream. So if you want this, if you want more of this, adam wild will be on tomorrow night streaming. It's gonna be fun. Now the power play is up and activated for the New York Rangers. Hurricanes are doing a fantastic job like they have been all season, defending the power play.

[01:34:19]

One timers missed. Zabidajad shoots it wide.

[01:34:23]

Carolina gets on the puck. They send it the other way. 20 seconds left in the PK. Zebena judge should have had that one timer. Wow. Power play is over. It has been killed. Well done, Hurricanes. Well done. It's 22, 755 left. That Hurricanes fans are not happy with the play of the Rangers so far in this game. A lot of diving accusations, a lot of soft accusations. The Rangers are getting some pressure here. They try and get a pass out front. Great through the legs. Pass there. Crider tries to send it out. Doesn't quite work.

[01:35:56]

Oh, crider with a tip. Freddy down. Puck goes wide. Oh, my goodness. The net was wide open. New York couldn't put it home. Freddy was down. The puck was loose. The net was wide open, and they couldn't pot it.

[01:36:17]

The. Yeah. Things have tilted to the Ranger side right now. They're. They're trying. They're trying to keep this momentum going. They send the puck all the way the other end. They're back in the zone. Fresh line out. That's a Ben Ajad who's been buzzing for two for a full game now trying to keep it going. Carolina's coming the other way. What have they got? Can they. Can they bring the attack the other way? Shmeshnikov's looking for it. Oh, I saw him head into the front of the net looking for a rebound. New York's coming the other way. There's Panarin, who's been relatively quiet so far this game. He's got an assist, though, on that Adam Fox play. Oh, nice little tip out in front. I'm just enjoying this. Back to this end to end action right now. That's Trubo with a nice shot on goal. Saved by Freddy. This is opposite Vancouver, Nashville. Non stop shots.

[01:37:32]

Nice shot out in front. Trying to shovel at home. Bren Burns sends it the length of the ice.

[01:37:37]

And we have icing. Oh, my gosh. Just like bailing on the whole thing was Brent Burns, because New York just on fire. Brent Burns just sends it the length of the ice. He's like, enough of this.

[01:37:54]

Enough of this. I've had enough.

[01:37:57]

Ice it. Oh, good stuff here. Pucks dropping again. Brad says, very entertaining game. We got to cover it up. We have a tv timeout, I believe. Yeah, I think we have 512 left in the oh, they're showing the punch again. Jake Enzo punching Adam Fox trochak laughing at getting him. All right, we got 512 left in the second period. We have a television timeout. Let us chillax, sit back, enjoy the stream. The das, the dancing animal squad would like to come out and entertain you during this tv timeout. Mister Panda, Mister Snail, and Mister Giraffe are all doing their ditties. Let me know if you got any questions in the chat. Let me know who you got winning the Stanley cup. Let me know who you got winning this game, who you got winning this series, who you're rooting for to go all the way. I appreciate you being here. You could be anywhere in the world. But she'll be watching this right now. And I appreciate that. Brock Besser says, w Jesse W Adam, I hope Steve is okay, but nonetheless, w st Steve. Yeah, Steve is a. Steve needs some sleep. Sleep. Steve goes so hard all season long, and we wish he was going hard longer and the Leafs were still in it.

[01:40:06]

But now that the Leafs are out, it's time to take a deep breath. You know you do lfRs for 82 games, plus seven every year. It's hard. It's not easy. Plus all the streams, plus a new baby, plus writing a book. If you have not pre ordered hockey rants and raves, oops. This side. Hockey rants and raves. There it is. There's the COVID Go to the description right now. Pre order Steve Dangle's new book. It's coming out this fall. There's a date, October something. October 15. I want to say. Hockey rants and raves go preorder. It's going to be a great book. I have had the privilege of being in the midst of some of the conversations that led to some of the chapters in the book. So I'm excited to see, see how they came out once I get my hands on a copy. We're getting ready to drop the puck here for the rest of this second period. If you have not hit like on this video, hit like. If you have not hit, subscribe on our YouTube channel. Hit subscribe. If you're watching on Twitter or Twitch. That's YouTube.com sDpn. Head over there.

[01:41:14]

Hit subscribe on our YouTube channel. Somebody asked, oh, nice play by Carolina there. Somebody just asked in the chat. Let me find your question, Trevor. I found your question, Trevor. There's just a lot of chaos going on in the, in the Rangers zone there, Trevor. I'll get your question here and then I want to get to Jacqueline Kay's question. Trevor asked, am I going to be doing any more GM mode streams? Yes, Trevor, GM mode is not going anywhere. It's still going to be pre game for Adam Wild streams since Steve Dangle is no longer streaming the Leafs games because they got eliminated. And that's when I used to do the GMO streams, all doing it pre game Adam Wild streams, but not every single one because if you're doing this stream and I can't stream every day because that's a little bit too much. So. So I'm going to try. And as many pregame Vancouver Edmonton games as I can for this round, I'm going to be firing up the GM mode. We're going to finish off our season, our franchise, and hopefully win a Stanley cup. So we'll see how that goes. And then Jacqueline K.

[01:42:37]

Rights Jacqueline Kay wants to know when I'm gonna write a book. There's one book that will be made eventually, and that's the SDPN, the history of SDPN book. I've thought about writing books before, and like, there's ideas and stuff like that, like a children's novel, stuff like that. I'd love to get into that space, but the one thing I can tell you about one day, many moons down the line, not anytime soon. I'm talking about a decade into the future. But the notes have always had to be made because the books can be made eventually. If you've read the ESPN book, liken it to that, there's gonna be a book one day about how we've built this media company and to where it gets to at some point or where it goes to or how it is and how it unfolded. And like these times, that book will exist one day. So, Jacqueline Kay, look out for that in a decade from now. Put it in your calendar in 2020, 2034, fall of 2034, the SDP on books coming out. That one I'd like to hand off. I've always envisioned it. You hand it off to a third party writer, all the stories and they write the oral history of it, or the oral history, the history of it.

[01:43:54]

You know, I think that'd be a cool way to do it. Alex says Jesse with the Rangers jersey in the back. Are you a Rangers fan and also a Leafs fan? Hey, I'm a. I'm an everything fan. I'm just here for a good time. That's what I'm here for. Who gets the next goal? Pranak says, I hope to see more watch alongs with you next season. J. Blake. Yeah, I think it's something like we've. We've now tried it with all three of us this playoffs, and it's something we have to keep doing. It's something we. We've, like, had a lot of fun with. So we got to keep these going during the regular season. Adam Fox got seth Jarvis in the face. It's not great. They're showing the replay of that. This is Deez nuts. One, two, two. Have you ever been to a Kane's home game? Or do you ever plan on it? Love you, Jesse. Keep Ballin you stud. I appreciate that. Here's some confetti for you. Here's a little air horn. And Justin, I need to get to your comment there. I've never been to a Hurricanes game. I would love to.

[01:45:23]

I've never been to MSG either. I've been to Nashville. I've seen the. I've seen the preds. I've seen the Golden Knights. I've seen the Canucks. These are all like, at their arenas. I've been to a Vancouver Canucks game, the national Predators game. I've been to a Canucks game. I think that's it. Auto senators. No, no. I haven't been to a sends game, but to a Montreal Canadiens game. I'm trying Edmonton Oilers. Been an Oilers game too. And I think that's it. Was that seven? Seven. And then Toronto, obviously leafs game as well. I think that's it. I think that's it. I gotta get to more. I feel like I'm missing out. I feel like Kane's game would be electric. MSG. What we're watching right now would be amazing. I'd like to do one of the, like, more south cities. Like, I'd love to do one of the California teams. See what hockey's like in Anaheim, you know, a place like that. Or even like one of the Florida teams, one of the non traditional hockey markets. I guess I did Vegas. But Vegas is so unique to how Vegas is. Like even like a Stars game or something like that.

[01:46:55]

Or, you know, panthers. I'd love to see one of those, but maybe one day get all the arenas crossed off the list. Justin, when I was talking about the SDPN book that's going to be written one day, says, here's his passage from the book. But I must confess, things didn't truly take off until we hired Justin Fisher. As handsome as he is talented, Justin's dank tweaks rocketed us to stardom. Yeah. That's how we're going to start the book. That is the first line from the book.

[01:47:30]

Oh, one timer. That's a goal for Carolina. Out of nowhere. That's Jake Genzel with the one timer. Oh, my goodness. That was a rocket. Wow. Oh. Battles Ojo, battling against the boards. I don't know how he saw them. Quick head. Just quick look with the head. Fires it over to Jake. Gentle in the middle of the ice, right through the five hole of Igor Shasturkin. That's two for Jake Genzel. We are on Hattie. Watch for Jakey boy. It's three two, Carolina. Wow.

[01:48:35]

They'Re back up. Another late period goal. That's two straight periods where New York lets up towards the end of the period.

[01:48:49]

You think you're going. Intermission all tied, and once again, Carolina with, um, this time with a minute. Last time was like 5 seconds, pots won, and this one's a beauty. Feed from a ho. Jake Genzel in the right place at the right time. Always go to the net. Lesson 101, go to the net.

[01:49:11]

Lesson 102, get pucks on the net. This time it's go to the net. Jake genzel. One timer. You love to see it. Tony D with the secondary assist there, but all aho on that one. Beauty play. We got 44 seconds now. Trying to run it out. 35 seconds. Here we go. Can New York get something going, going intermission. No, I believe that's icing. We're getting icing here. 26 seconds left. There's going to be a face off in the offensive zone for the New York Rangers. They're going to try and get something off the draw here and score quickly. 26 seconds. We'll see if they can do it. There's Brady Shea. We are playing the Vincent Trochak versus Brady Shea series. Carolina wins the face off, so it's gonna be a pretty uneventful end to the.

[01:50:27]

Oh, no.

[01:50:28]

New York's able to keep. Oh, they weren't able to keep it in the zone. One more face off here before we head to intermission. They're showing the Aho play again. Calling it the Ahoplay. Look where Jake Enzo comes from. The blue line drifts to the middle of the ice. Whoever's.

[01:50:45]

Who is that crider?

[01:50:47]

I believe those crider who didn't pick up his man.

[01:50:51]

You gotta.

[01:50:52]

You gotta pick up Jake Gensel. Bad defense there by New York. Oh, you can't let somebody drift in the middle of the ice like that. That's bad stuff. I would not be happy if that was my team. That's bad defense. All right, we are in the second intermission here. Thank you, Allie, for becoming a member of SDP VIP. Thank you. That is greatly appreciated. Justin Fisher from the SDPN account. Rangers are having a very Leafs game. Yep. I 100% agree.

[01:51:52]

Shippa says. Shipper, this is a bit of a co.

[01:51:55]

This is coping. Genzel shouldn't even be in the game right now after that. Dirty punch. Illegitimate goal. That is. That is genuinely hilarious. That's funny. That's some funny stuff. Double hattie watch. Yes, ally, we are on double Hattie watch with Lafreniere and gensl. Now with two. We got one period to go. It's been a fun game. I was talking about going to different arenas around the league. If you've been to different arenas or if you are just from somewhere where there's a hockey team and I am, I'm in Toronto right now. If you are from wherever you are in the world and you've been to that arena and your atmosphere is electric, let me know if I should visit that place because I gotta cross off more arenas on my list. And we got this comment from Duxfan. Eleven Ducks fan says Anaheim is depressingly quiet right now. Oh, I lost your comment. Hold on. I was reading it and it disappeared. Hold on, hold on. No Ducks fan. Where's your, where's your, where's your comment? Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I gotta scroll all the way back up. Here we go. Anaheim is depressingly quiet right now.

[01:53:08]

Our fan base is very buttoned up. Even when we are good. Seems to be an Orange county culture.

[01:53:15]

Damn. That's. That's what I want to know.

[01:53:19]

That's the stuff. That's the inside info from, like, the hardcore fakie fan. Because if you're not here, if you're watching this, you're probably a very hardcore hockey fan. And that's a very, like, that's a very honest opinion of what's going on there in an. I didn't know that. I didn't know. I did. I guess it makes sense that because they're in southern SoCal, Orange county, that they'd have that buttoned up atmosphere. But that's very good to know. Let me know where I should watch games around the league as we sit here in second intermission. Carter says, come to Seattle. I've only heard good things about Seattle and the Kraken and what they've done with that arena. First of all, the, the arena looks so sick. One of the walls is like glass and you can see like the outs.

[01:54:10]

Like a retractable roof glass wall where.

[01:54:14]

Like, the inside of the hockey rink is, which is just so cool. And I hear they've, like, putting together like a great hardcore fan base. It's not the biggest thing out there. Well, they lost the basketball team for so many moons now, so many like years now. But like, it's, I assume Seattle Mariners are still ahead, Seahawks are still ahead, but they have a very hardcore fan base out there in Seattle. That's from Carter. Thank you for the super chat, Carter. This super chat, or thank you, Aurora, for becoming an SDP, a vip member. This super chat comes from burps, mcgurps tired. SDPN never talks about the New York Rangers enough. Wired SVPN never talks about the Dallas Starliner enough. That's true. We do lack in depth Dallas Stars coverage, but it's because Dallas Stars aren't very interesting because they're just good. Like, what are you going to say? Besides Dallas is very good here, we got some more here. This is, this is like, I'm very hyped up on this conversation. Best arenas to go watch hockey in. Akaline says I'm from Denver. Live in Toronto now. Ball arena is awesome. Ball arena. The videos from that Stanley cup run two years ago that, that atmosphere was electric like they did the, the avalanche fans, they were on fire.

[01:55:45]

That was awesome. What else we got? Steve says live in Edmonton. Columbus is a great place to watch a game. Fans are so into the game and the fan experience is amazing. MSG was hands down the best fan game I've been to. Oh, there you go. Msg we're watching tonight. Steve says best fan game he's been to. Never been to a Columbus Blue Jackets game. Steve went to the all star game there, said it was a good time. Columbus just doesn't have the volume of fans, but they have a lot of hardcore fans, just not as many as the other markets. You know, there's just not enough people there in terms of like, hockey fans there, not like population of the city. This is from Andy. I was talking about climate pledge arena. If you come to Seattle and watch a game at climate pledge, don't waste your money on club seats. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent for a hockey ticket.

[01:56:46]

Oh, wow.

[01:56:47]

Okay, so we got some advice there. Don't buy club seats at climate pledge arena. Ducks fan eleven. I've only been to one game in San Jose, but the concourse is concrete and so ugly. Atmosphere was non existent. But the sharks are worse than the Ducks. Like, how are the Kings? Like, do the Kings suck, too? Do all California teams have bad atmospheres at the. At the hockey games because of how, like, California, California. California can be? You know, like, is it.

[01:57:21]

Choose Hollywood?

[01:57:23]

I, like, give me the insight on that. I'm so interested. Come to Calgary. This from JV. Come to Calgary before they get a new arena. You can see how bad it is. I hear the sourdough dome is the worst, the worst arena in the league right now. It's so old. Like, they desperately need something new there. Um, big. That. That saddle dome just. It's awful. I've only heard bad things. All right, I'm going to take the break because we are in intermission, and if I don't take the break now, I don't get a break till the end of the game. So I'm going to take a break. I'll play a clip from the Steve Dangle podcast for you right now. It's coming up, and then I'll be back right after that, and we'll be ready for the third period. Enjoy this clip from the Steve Dangle podcast. Hmm.

[01:58:07]

And I don't want to move off of keef because I think that. I think the goal scoring thing matters in context with Keith Jeff.

[01:58:13]

That's why I want to bring it.

[01:58:14]

Up totally, because your tweet on this is great. What is it?

[01:58:17]

14 straight game. Their last 14 playoff games, the least have failed to score more than three goals. And in one of those last 14 games, did they score exactly three?

[01:58:27]

How are they 13 of 14 games? Yeah, 13 of the last 14 games, the Leafs have got two goals or less?

[01:58:33]

Yes.

[01:58:33]

In the playoffs? Yes, playoff games.

[01:58:36]

How many forwards do the Leafs have making double digit next season?

[01:58:40]

Four.

[01:58:42]

I've asked this before. I'll ask it again. What do you mean they can't score?

[01:58:49]

What do you mean? What?

[01:58:54]

You have a $10.9 million winger, an $11 million center, an $11.5 million winger.

[01:59:03]

And the highest paid player in the National Hockey League who's also the best goal scorer in the National Hockey League. What do you mean you can't score?

[01:59:11]

William Nylander didn't play until game four.

[01:59:15]

He led the team in goals.

[01:59:18]

With three.

[01:59:20]

What do you mean you can't score? Matthews only had one. He obviously was sick and missed time. And he assisted on the Leafs only goal they had in the damn game. Seven. He led the team in scoring with, I think, four points. Five. No, four points in five games.

[01:59:39]

Kill me.

[01:59:40]

Kill me now, immediately, please. He only had one goal, but he was limited. Marner and Tavares combined for two. Marner and Tavares.

[01:59:50]

We're not getting well. We won't go that route yet.

[01:59:52]

No, I know, but, like, save that bullet. The Leafs can't score, but that's it. That is the number one argument for breaking up the core. It.

[02:00:02]

I don't.

[02:00:03]

I didn't. I wouldn't care if they all had ten points in seven games. If they all had spectacular seven game.

[02:00:10]

Series, I would still blow it up.

[02:00:13]

I would still blow that up because the damn team that's built around these.

[02:00:20]

Scoring players cannot score when it matters.

[02:00:24]

Are you kidding?

[02:00:25]

What are we still doing here, bro?

[02:00:27]

Get it over with. Enough.

[02:00:30]

It's over. Stop. All I like this guy I have is jersey.

[02:00:34]

Fuck it. Get a new one. Geez.

[02:00:36]

It's over.

[02:00:38]

Do it. Leave it blank. Get your own name on it.

[02:00:42]

Matthews and Nylander will be here for a long time.

[02:00:44]

Put. Do whatever. I don't. I don't.

[02:00:49]

Whoever you want to move off of the core. Your idea for how this team improves going forward cannot not involve the core being blown up.

[02:01:03]

It can't.

[02:01:04]

What are we doing here?

[02:01:05]

So, playoff points, by the way, you're. You're talking about that. Bertuzzi, Domi and Matthews led the team with four points each. Each. And then Willie came in at three with nice, Marner, Lebooshkin all tied at three points. So that's the scoring there. But with. With Keef, he talked about how he. He can't get them going. And he sounds like he's out of answers. And the guy, you know, he has all of the horses and it sounds like he's been hitting his head against the wall and he can't get them going. I think it's. It's both. I think it's. It's keef can't game plan. He's been. I think he's been out coached in every playoff series he's been in. Even in you. Even in the one they won with John Cooper. Like, I feel like Tampa played such a close game there. Dominic Duchamp, he blew a three one series lead to dominant power for Keith, it definitely sounded like during that press conference, if you just look at the look on his face and the words he's saying, he knows it's over.

[02:02:04]

Well, that's why he was so honest.

[02:02:05]

Exactly. But I think in those moments, you take from those words that there's a man who has been defeated because he has tried everything he can with this group of players. And unfortunately, the way hockey works is you don't get another shot with a completely different group of players. It's time to remove those players as well as the guy who failed to get those players to the promised land.

[02:02:25]

2021, the Amazon documentary documenting the Leafs Canada season with the Canada Division. They were killing everyone. They were running over every team in Canada first place. But all season long, Keef was a guy who got it and I, and he's going to get fired and a lot of people are going to relish in it.

[02:02:50]

But.

[02:02:52]

There is an aspect of. He always knew what the problem was. 2021, the Amazon documentary he's like, we're not scoring playoff style goals. We're not scoring playoff style goals. Playoffs come around, the series gets deep and they do not score playoff style goals. They don't score any goals, actually, until they're down two or three, nothing. The next year, there was an emphasis on playoff style goals and they took a step and they lost again. 2023 comes. It's the easily the best step in that direction. They were a nightmare team to play in front of the net. They got a lot of greasy goals this year in this series, especially against the Boston Bruins. Ring around the rosy pocket full of Posey parameter perimeter. We're out again. But we know, we already know that's.

[02:04:03]

Not how he wants them to play.

[02:04:05]

They just, they simply won't do it.

[02:04:08]

And like, part of they won't or they can't.

[02:04:11]

Doesn't matter to me.

[02:04:12]

Yeah, no, but I think, like, both things are true there. They won't, they don't. I don't think they have the ability to.

[02:04:18]

Ah, bullshit. They got some big guys. They got big guys who can fight and they wouldn't do it or can't do it or you know what? Like, I'm not sure I care about the how we get there. All I know is part of being a coach is motivating your players to do the things that you want. And he's told them for years, here's how you win in the playoffs, and.

[02:04:43]

They won't do it.

[02:04:45]

They're not interested.

[02:04:46]

They're scared.

[02:04:47]

They, whatever it is, they won't do it. They can't do it. And now it's gonna cost all of them their time in Toronto. They're all gone.

[02:04:56]

So that's, that's how it works. Yep. Yeah. This is, these are, this is the results business. He can't get his guys going and they can't do it. So they all need to go.

[02:05:07]

And this is.

[02:05:09]

But they were close.

[02:05:09]

This is what we.

[02:05:10]

Doesn't matter.

[02:05:12]

This is what we were talking about. And then I think Kyle Dubas finally admitted last April, last May, which was, you're right.

[02:05:18]

I do love my guys.

[02:05:19]

The rigidity of the process prevented them from understanding where their weaknesses were. They hired people who were very smart, but all agreed and believed the same thing. And unfortunately, when that happens, if you know that the whole thing was the score, you know, the whole mantra with the book, the score takes care of itself, which Kyle Dubas, like, lived by. You know, when Kyle Dubas talked about the. And this is, I think, the most telling quote of his entire career in Toronto. Not that we can, and we will.

[02:05:53]

This you're going to.

[02:05:54]

When Blake smell. When Blake Snell was pulled out of a World Series game, pitching his lights out and the light and the Tampa Bay Rays went on to lose the game because they're, they're backup pitching. Their, their relievers couldn't take care of business. Where have we seen that before? Jays fans and Kyle Dubas unironically gets up in front of the media and with a straight face says to them, I would have done the same thing. And hang on. Hang on to this. I want you to, I want you to absorb that. I want you to go back and look up Blake Snell. Google Blake Snell pulled from World Series game. Go look at what happened afterwards. Catastrophe. And the fact that the NHL general manager at the time, Kyle Dubas for the Toronto Maple Leafs, said, I would have done the same thing. And then two years later, right before he gets fired, goes, maybe we were too rigid. Maybe we didn't look at things objectively because we believe so much in what we were doing that we just didn't take the results as seriously as they should.

[02:06:56]

As we should.

[02:06:57]

The one thing in the book, the score takes care of, because I've read the book, the score takes care of itself.

[02:07:03]

We get it.

[02:07:03]

You're smart.

[02:07:04]

The one thing that they say in the book is you have to look at your results. One thing that they say is like, okay, so you may think you're doing really well in one area, but you have to, you have to drill down even in the areas where you're good and go, okay, but are we? And I don't think the Toronto Maple Leafs did that until last May. And I think that's where dubious switched gears. I think they were a few weeks away from Mitch Marner's no trade clause kicking in five. And I think, and I think Brennan Shanahan said, no, no, no. This is mine. And, and let me, let me just read a stats you. Drew just sent this through. The Maple Leafs are the second team that he did, the second team in the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL history to make the playoffs eight straight seasons, but win a total of only one playoff round in that span or none. The only other team to do it was the Buffalo Savers from 87 88 to 94 95.

[02:07:58]

Good Lord. Now it's a little bit of a cherry pick stat because there are plenty of teams that went in eight consecutive years without making the playoffs. You know, like, so it's not like they're one of the worst teams in that stretch.

[02:08:10]

But no, no, I know this isn't about the Leafs being bad.

[02:08:14]

It's about being.

[02:08:15]

Them being bad when it counts.

[02:08:16]

Like, yeah, I tried to talk about this in the LFR. The Leafs were rigid in their system because they were good. They're, they're rigid because what we're doing has made us good and they lost sight of what makes them great. You need greatness to win the Stanley cup. And all we've had for years now.

[02:08:41]

Is a good team. Thank you to the Steve Dankel podcast for entertaining the masses during intermission. And now we are a few moments away, actually not bad timing. We're. They were like two minutes away from puck drop again. Of the second period, shots are 25 to 20 in favor of the Carolina hurricanes. Nine minutes of ozone possession to 740 in favor of the hurricanes as well. Hits 25 to twelve in favor of the Rangers. This is gonna be a fun third period because we've had a very fun first two periods. And I think. I think we're in for some more scoring here. We're gonna get at least an empty net, even if it's at this, at this score towards the end of the game. But I think we get a couple more before that. Let me know who you think is going to come away with this one, who you think scores the next goal. Let me know what you thought about that Leafs clip. If you watched it all the way through from the Steve Danko podcast, the. The word is that they're just going to run it back. They got a big press conference coming up.

[02:10:15]

We, we have dropped the puck on the third period. By the way, word is that the Leafs are going to run everything back. Big press conference coming down on Friday with the new CEO of MLSC. Brendan Shanahan and Bradshaw living will all be on that press conference. And they're probably going to announce that maybe Sheldon Keefe is gone, but they could also just, everything is the same. And I think we're in for one hell of a press conference if that happens.

[02:10:44]

Here's a chance out in front for Carolina. Stopped.

[02:10:49]

Adam Fox controls it. New York's trying to calm everything down. If you have not liked this video, make sure you hit like on this YouTube video. They don't control the puck after the face off. It gets out of the zone. They send it in deep. Carolina picks it up.

[02:11:58]

Turn over in front. Shot. Save. Oh, my goodness. Laughing here misses the hat trick. Oh, my gosh. Laugh. Oh, no. He skies it over the bar. Oh. All he needed to do was just like, softly put it in. Oh, that sucks.

[02:12:29]

Codestir says laugh game winner, member for SD for two months, level SCP VIP. Laugh game winner. Not with that one. He just had it. Oh, that's a bad miss. He's gonna regret that one if they end up losing this game. Great start for the Rangers, though, if you're a Rangers fan, great start there. Brock Messer says New York ties it up and a ho with a game winner with two minutes to go. Based on how this game has been trending, that's exactly how it's going to go. New York's going to tie it and then with like 30 seconds left, Carolina is going to score a goal. We got a super chat from Justin Fisher. I got to get to first stop at the play. We'll get to that conversation, Justin. Justin donated $5. That is our social media manager donating to his own stream. Appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you. Want a little confetti? You can have some confetti. I can't. How do you, how do you read your, your username? Pasukar.

[02:13:58]

Who?

[02:13:59]

Pasukaru seven. I wish I could. I wish I could have 50% of the energy. Oh, here's a chance out in front for Carolina. I wish I got. I wish I could have 50% of the energy Jesse has and my life would be so easy. I can borrow up this energy and send it to you in the mail. I'll put it in a package. I don't know what that means, but thank you. New York trying to get something going, but Carolina is controlling the play. Stuck. Puck is stuck behind the boards here. Panarin's up against the wall. Puck goes out. Marty Nietzsche tries to get onto it. Martin controls it, gets smashed by Zabinijad. And the puck comes the other way.

[02:14:47]

For laugh who shoots short side. Can't squeeze it.

[02:14:53]

By Frederick Anderson I do love my ag one. I will 100% recommend ag one. Unsponsored. All right. This. This stream is sponsored by Steve Dangle. Hockey rants and raves. Go to the link in the description right now. If you're on YouTube, go to the link in the description. If you're on twitch, link in the description there too. Preorder his book, Hockey Rants. Hockey rants and raves comes out this fall. Pre order it on Amazon. Chapters Indigo, Barnes and Noble, wherever you need it. Justin Fisher had a super chat. Justin Fisher said, jesse, if each member of the core four returned, but Toronto came back with a new coach and a legitimate number one goaltender, is that enough of a change? Interesting. It depends. A new coach is a huge change. Like, I'll give them that. If they want to fire keef and bring him back and bring somebody else new, that's a huge change right from the go. So, like, thumbs up for doing that. If the core four returns, there better be not the number one goaltender. Some sort of stud defenseman. Like, it's been Morgan Riley with just guys for years now. And I want more than that.

[02:16:06]

So a number one goalie is great. Joseph wall can be that goalie, though. So I don't even think you need the number one goalie. And the core four situation limits the rest of the roster. That's the whole thing about the core four. I'm going to say it's not enough. I would. I think one of the pieces of the core four has to move this offseason. And there's only two of them that aren't signed long term. So it's one of those two. You got it.

[02:16:33]

Is that a tripping, tripping call here?

[02:16:37]

Hurricanes are gonna get cold here for a tripping coal.

[02:16:41]

Looked a little suspect. I don't know. Dmitri Orlov.

[02:17:00]

Let me see this. Let me see this. I'm just waiting for the replay.

[02:17:15]

Oh, yeah.

[02:17:19]

Coolie goes right over Orlov. I think you gotta call that just by the angle you're looking at. Yeah, there is that. Was that was a penalty. Every. Every penalty here is like a referendum on refereeing. It's like, okay, let's go back to the history universe. Everything we know about refereeing. Was this a penalty in this instance, considering the circumstances, should you have called that? Yes, I think you call that 100% of the time. Cooley went right over Orlov.

[02:18:00]

Oh, right out in front Freddy. Huge save. Oh, no, it's loose. New York scores. Goal, Rangers. Oh, my gosh. I thought Freddy had it. I thought Freddy had it. But Chris Grider sneaks it on through a point blank shot. Freddy saves it. Oh, what a save.

[02:18:41]

But he can't squeeze the puck.

[02:18:44]

Oh, Slavid was right there trying to clear it. Slavin couldn't get a stick on it. Oh, it was. Oh, okay. Oh, no. Ohs trying to clear it from under Freddy. Oh. Gets it right to Krider. Krider probably would have been shoveling at.

[02:19:05]

It anyways, but it went off.

[02:19:07]

Aho.

[02:19:08]

Stick right onto Crider.

[02:19:10]

Freddy should have squeezed it a little harder. Was a fantastic point blank save. And what we have here is a tie ball game and a New York Rangers goal. We have a three three hockey game.

[02:19:29]

With 1349 to go. We are in a tv timeout. Let us chillax here and sit back and relax with this tv timeout. The dancing animal friends, the dos team would like to come out and entertain you. They are pumped up for tonight. Thank you for being here. You could have been anywhere in the world. But you choose. You choose to be watching this stream right now, and I appreciate you for that. So round of applause for all of you out there. Greatly appreciated that you're choosing to spend your evening with SDPN, the greatest sports media company in the universe. We thank you. We thank you for your time. Jacqueline K. Says you got us. You so gotta sell shirts with the Dos team.

[02:20:45]

Just.

[02:20:48]

The panda's pretty nice. Like the prayer. The panda looked great on shirts. Him, the squ. The snail. The snail's my favorite. Cuz he's just so into it. He's just grooving. Like the panda's doing a little two step. But the snail's like. Like he's never had problems. Like he doesn't know what a problem is. Like, he's just dancing. That's a good time. That is a very, very good time. Update from around the sporting worlds for sporting world. We got a Celtics update, 120 to 95. We got. Yeah, they stole. Stomped Cleveland. What are the Jays doing?

[02:21:32]

Oh, my goodness.

[02:21:34]

Because I've been sitting here with you this whole time.

[02:21:37]

I had no idea the Jays lost ten to one. Oh, my God.

[02:21:49]

Oh, no. Blue Jays. What are you doing? All new low for your Toronto blue Jays. Ten to one. We're dropping the puck. Here we are back, center ice. Wenberg taking the face off against Stahl. The puck is dropped. Time is on the screen. Time it up with what we're watching right now. Carolina's trying to get this goal back. They've been great at answering the call. Every time. New York has tied it up. Carolina's fought right back. Based on how this game's gonna go, we're gonna get a late game winner by Carolina, but New York's trying to make sure that doesn't happen. Hey, we got a super chat from Omar.

[02:22:40]

Shout out Omar.

[02:22:43]

Little. Confetti for Omar. The weirdo reporter who was creeping Caitlin Clark. Got suspended for two weeks. Should have been fired after that creepy comment. I did see that he's not allowed to cover WNBA games this season. And, like.

[02:23:01]

Yeah, yeah. Keep that man away from women.

[02:23:05]

Like, he's so weird. I guess two. Two weeks is good for a suspension. Just the. The permanent ban on covering Caitlyn Clark. It should be implemented like, that's. You don't know how to handle yourself in front of female athletes, so. Yeah, you shouldn't cover that league. That's good. That's good that he's not. That's good that he's not covering the league anymore. This is Alberta guy, leafson seven.

[02:23:34]

Stream is to fire. Cool down. Making Adam look bad. Stream is fire. Thank you. You think that's fired up? We can get even more fired up. You want to get fired up? Earth are beard. Let's get fired up. Bring out the confetti. Bring out the dos. All the animals are out right now. They can't keep up. It's lagging. You want to see us get fired up? We can lag the stream. We can lag the dance crew. That's how fired up we can get.

[02:24:08]

All right.

[02:24:09]

Shot by Carolina.

[02:24:10]

Great save by Igor. Let's get back to this hockey game, because we got twelve minutes and 30 seconds left in this hockey game. It is tied three three. New York is up one nothing in the series. Carolina's trying tie it. Trying to tie it up. New York's trying to get a 20 lead, win both games at home. We have a stoppage in play once again, and we are getting one more face off. I'm looking for some action here, fellas. Let's get some back and forth hockey that we've had all game, none of this icing and over the glass and all that nonsense. I need some great hockey to end this game so we can get truly fired up. Face off is won by Carolina. Swung around the boards. New York gains control, sends it right back over to the Hurricanes. And now we get Bren Burns working it up.

[02:25:07]

Bren Burns. Bren Burns through the metal. One timer goes just wide. Oh, my goodness. Igor didn't have to make that save.

[02:25:17]

The puck goes just wide.

[02:25:19]

Carolina's buzzing. Whoo.

[02:25:24]

Play is stopped. The broadcast, the play by play is just like. No one was expecting burns to do that.

[02:25:38]

Oh, Marty Naejes, eight to 88, almost worse. Brent burns through two defenders, passes it off before he hits strocheck. Marty nature shoots it wide. Whoo.

[02:25:53]

Carolina's buzzing. Trying to get that goal back that they just allowed New York to score. Let's see what they got here. Dylan says. Dallas Stars fan. Here. If for some reason my stars don't make it to the final, I'm rooting for you, Rangers. All right, so, Dylan, Rangers fan.

[02:26:26]

Oh, one timer.

[02:26:27]

There is that cock. And Yemi with the one timer, goes just wide. Oh, it's terrifying with the one timer. My bad. My bad, my bad.

[02:26:43]

Oh, terravine.

[02:26:44]

And again with the shot. Terra vine in two opportunities there. And now New York's going the other way.

[02:26:53]

Two, one, two. Paneran wires in its block. What a block by the Hurricanes.

[02:27:00]

Now we're playing hockey. Now we're getting some action.

[02:27:07]

Seth Jarvis lays his body out. Block.

[02:27:12]

Oh, that must have hurt, blocking that shot from Panarin. Here we go, though.

[02:27:19]

Aho.

[02:27:19]

Tries to wire one. It gets stopped.

[02:27:22]

New York's coming the other way. One on two.

[02:27:25]

Freddie Anderson with a beautiful pad save.

[02:27:28]

It's going back the other end.

[02:27:32]

Carolina can't get the shot. Ajo can't keep it in. Pucko's out of play.

[02:27:38]

Whoo.

[02:27:47]

We got. We mentioned a Dylan. We mentioned Dylan. Dylan's a Dallas Stars fan. One thing about the Dallas Stars, if they do end up making the Stanley cup final, Dallas Stars could have one of the craziest roads to the Stanley cup final ever. They could face the Vegas Golden Knights, the defending Stanley cup championship. Then they could face the Colorado Avalanche, the year before Stanley cup champions. Then they could face either Edmonton or Vancouver. And if you're going up against one of the two, you're like, holy crap, they're facing Mc Jesus. Or you're facing a Vancouver team that's, like, super hot, riding like a very hot goaltender in the. Like. This is the world where they beat Edmonton, or you're facing McGes and dry side on all that stuff. Then in the Stanley cup final, you face the best team out of the Eastern Conference.

[02:28:44]

We got a penalty.

[02:28:45]

That is a tripping on Martin Hook. Did Mark Nooks trip Gustafson? Let me watch this play. Let me see what happened. Great save, igor. They're showing the replay of that. Yeah. Yeah, mar, no, he knew.

[02:29:17]

He knew.

[02:29:19]

All right, Hurricanes fans, be honest with me. Be a hundred percent honest. Is that like the third dumb penalty this game on the Hurricanes, they've been taking bad penalties. Svest took a bad one. Martin Oak just took a bad one. Are you guys, do you guys take a lot of dumb penalties? Because there's been a lot that so far this game. Four power play opportunities so far for the Rangers. This is number five. And like, the one of them doesn't count because there's the stretch one where they got like 2 seconds of power play time and the other one was in the middle of the other power play, too, so. But a lot of dumb penalties right now tonight from the Hurricanes and, oh, almost, almost hits the far side there. The Rangers do. Trochek just missed that one. They're working. They're, they're trying. They're really working the zone here. The Rangers are, they're getting the puck around, but they can't, can't get something concrete going towards the net and the pucks down the other end of the ice. And they're working on their breakout here. That's Gustafson over to Trocheck and is the puck out.

[02:30:51]

Carolina's coming the other way. We got a two on one. Shorthanded. Here it is. Point blank on Igor. Saves, saves the rebound. Now we got two on two coming.

[02:31:01]

Back the other way. That's Panarin. Gustafson throws it down deep. Trochak passes it around. All right. Now New York's trying to get set up. Couple chances here for both teams on the power play for New York. A tip in front is unsuccessful. Can Paneran squeeze it down to Zabinijad? Back up to Paneran? Back down to zip de jet out front.

[02:31:27]

Over to Gustafsson. Take a shot, Panarin. No, doesn't work. It's tipped. It's tipped again. Right over Freddy. Right over the net.

[02:31:36]

Puck goes down the other end. Hurricanes, avoid chaos. 6 seconds left. It looks like Carolina has successfully killed off this power play. There it is. Pucks down the ice. Killed successfully. Roslovic had a chance there at the end of the power play. Good chance. Good chance. Oh, they go. Struba with a shot. Almost tipped in front. They're turning it the other way. Here's a shot. Blocked. Great block. Someone's playing without their stick there for. For Carolina. It's like the Rangers are on another power play. Carolina escapes it, though. They got the best penalty kill. They got that for a reason. They're able to get out of trouble. Nature's challenges. Kiandre Miller. And the puck is officially offsides. We're gonna face off.

[02:33:00]

Whoa. Tv timeout. That was a lot of action. Wow.

[02:33:12]

All right. A lot of back and forth there. Let's take a second here. Let's just chill out. Let's calm down. Let's take in these last seven minutes and 9 seconds of this game. We could be in for some overtime. We could be in for some overtime, everybody. I hope you're ready. This is your moment to just grab another sip of water, go get a hot dog from the concourse. Go in the fridge, take a look at it. Be like, eh, do I want to eat that? Don't want that old yogurt. Don't eat old yogurt still. It'll give you a tummy ache. Maybe grab a glass of water. Yeah, do a glass of water. Got some chicken strips. Some chicken strips you had yesterday. Warm up in the microwave, little ketchup on them. They make a sandwich. Pb and j. PB and J is always delicious. Can't go wrong. The whole wheat bread. A big white bread person. I like whole wheat bread. There's some taste to it. Do that. Use the washroom key. Use the washroom so you can be locked in for the next seven minutes and 9 seconds that we have of this game.

[02:34:42]

Oh, Justin says not. Justin Fisher. Justin in the chat. I'm doing some sausage and kraut on a bun.

[02:34:49]

Wow. Shout out, you.

[02:34:54]

Hey, sausage. Mwah. Underrated food.

[02:35:01]

People don't talk about sausage enough.

[02:35:03]

Let's be honest. There's a lot of talk about hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, steak. But sausage, I like the honey garlic sausages. You get them, like, in a pack of six. I throw them in the air fryer, put them in a sandwich, eat them individually with some, like, broccoli. That's super healthy. I think in my mind, that's healthy food. A sausage and broccoli. I eat, like, two of them. Side of broccoli. Fantastic. It's fantastic stuff. All right, we're back. Actions back. No more food talk. There's hockey talk going on, Rangers going offside, and we are need another face off. So not hockey talk is paused again, unfortunately. All right, let's get back into this. Let's drop the puck here, boys. Let's get a good 654 going. Is that Ben Stiller at MSG? I think they just showed 654 puck drop one by Carolina.

[02:36:16]

And Kean Dre Miller's going back. Oh, no. Can't pick it up. Caroline is able to keep it in.

[02:36:23]

The zone, but new York comes away with the puck. They're going the other way.

[02:36:29]

Trying to get cut to the net.

[02:36:35]

Freddie Anderson with a nice save. Gensel, was he trying to feel? He's trying to feed Chatfield there. Now we get Marty. Nature's coming up the wing.

[02:36:58]

Shoots it wide.

[02:37:00]

Well, wide on Shasturkin. No risk of that one going in.

[02:37:07]

Oh, rangers trying to get the front of the net.

[02:37:10]

The Rangers are real greasy with their goals. They're like really good at getting to the greasy areas and getting those tips, shoveling them home. They know how to score playoff goals. So you got to worry whenever the pucks getting towards the front of the net, there's going to be like three Rangers right there and they're going to try and shovel it in. Here's Carolina, though, on the rush, trying to get something going. Everything's getting tipped. Everything's getting blocked. But you keep firing and good things will happen. Hockey 101. Fire pucks on the net.

[02:37:46]

Oh, nice save by shasturkin.

[02:37:49]

He's down and the puck's out the other end. Wow. We're in. Next goal wins territory. With 550 left in the game, we could be in for some overtime.

[02:38:18]

I like, what do, I don't even.

[02:38:20]

Have, like, overtime intermission videos to play. I got, I got to see what I got to do during overtime intermission. We're in unprecedented territory right now. And we are, we are offside or the puck was played with a high stick. The puckers play with a high stick. And we have another face off going, oh, we're going to a tv timeout. Once again, Anthony says, I enjoy the food talk. You know what I had recently that was like, really good? And never, ever in my life have I ever, ever had a bad piece of this food. Thin crust pizza from Domino's. That is unreal. Every single time you get the thin crust pizza from Domino's with a side of the cheesy bread, you mukbang that in one night. That's a good time. You can't go wrong with that sausage. Like I said before, underrated food like a plate of my honey, garlic sausages. Throw them in the air fryer. Air fryers, too. Shout out air fryers. One of the greatest inventions ever. It's just a mini oven. Who knew that all of life needed mini ovens? Like, how convenient. Like, I'll, like before work and, like, if I want to make my food before I start, like, getting ready to leave, before I take out the dog and everything.

[02:40:20]

Throw some in the air fryer. You come back ten minutes later, the thing's dinged, your food's done. Like, and it's not like you microwaved it because when you microwave things, they don't get crispy. Like, when you microwave food is just soft and mushy. It's just heated. The air fryer is heating it up like you cooked it because you are cooking it, but it's cooked conveniently and quickly. Air fryers. If you don't have one, get an air fryer. Toaster oven. I'm not doing toaster oven erasure. It's the air fryer is more convenient and it's. You can utilize an air fryer in more ways than you can the toaster oven. The toaster oven was a great precursor to the air fryer. But now that you have the air fryer, the toaster ovens mute. We're back here. We gotta pause the, we gotta pause the food talk because the game is back on. 357 to go. Carolina's got the puck.

[02:41:32]

Trying. Ooh, trying to get something going.

[02:41:37]

Almost did, but we're now we're just fighting the neutral zone. Keandre Miller holding it. Holding it. The Rangers trying to break out. They can't get anything on the puck. Just turn it over to Carolina. And here we go back the other end. 330 left. We're in for overtime tonight, ladies and gentlemen. We are in.

[02:42:09]

Next goal wins territory.

[02:42:17]

Whoever gets the next one's gonna be crowned champion of game number two. It is iced by the Hurricanes. And we have a very important face off coming up right here after everybody skates to the other end of the ice. 310 to go on the clock. Face off in the offensive zone after an icing. You got some tired hurricanes out there. And we are in. Next goal wins territory.

[02:42:45]

Lafreniere is out there trying to get the hat trick.

[02:42:47]

He's out there with Panarin and Trochek. This is a huge face off here.

[02:42:57]

Won by the Hurricanes. It has been won by the Hurricanes.

[02:43:06]

And, oh, what a one timer there. Great save by Igor. That's, that's trocheck coming all the way the other end. But an easy save by Freddie Anderson. Trojak had something there. Just the backhand was a little too light. Igor. Anthony says Igor has been good tonight. Igor has been great. Ego has been fantastic. Nothing. I think both goalies have been really good. I would have liked Freddy to squeeze that, but that third goal a little better. But, like, I can't really blame him on, on it because it was such a point blank shot, the one that caused the rebound that they eventually shoveled in. I think both goalies have been really good tonight. Maybe one you want back from Freddy, but I don't hate it too much. It's been real tight by both teams. Like, they both have given up their more than their fair share of chances on either end.

[02:44:26]

Oh, there's a penalty. A late penalty. Is that tripping on a ho? That's a backbreaker. The New York Rangers are gonna end regulation time, and oh. Is pissed. Oh. Is livid. And the Rangers are laughing. Oh. Oh, it's gonna blow his lid.

[02:45:03]

I believe. Aho tripped Gujaro. I got to see the replay here. Aho tripping 1822. Let me see. Here's the replay. Aho. Oh, Wenberg. Oh, it wasn't a ho. It was Brady Shea. They got the wrong guy.

[02:45:34]

They got the wrong guy. Brady Shay. Brady Shay 100% tripped him.

[02:45:44]

Like Brady Shay's stick is in his leg. Oh, they got the right guy. They got the right guy. They got the right guy. Okay. They switched it.

[02:45:51]

Somebody told them. Somebody told them.

[02:45:54]

They got. I was about to lose it. They got the right guy. 6th power play of the night for the New York Rangers. They're one for five so far. This is the game right here.

[02:46:05]

Carolina. One of the best penalty kills in the entire league. If they can kill this penalty, get.

[02:46:11]

To overtime, kill the rest of the penalty. They're going to be good.

[02:46:16]

Here's a. Oh, my. Shorthanded chance. Shorthanded chance. One timer. Igor with the save. Oh, my goodness. Jordan stole all the way on the.

[02:46:37]

Short end at Igor with a huge save. Brady Shea with a awful trip late in the game.

[02:46:51]

Get locked in, folks. We got 40 seconds left. Power play for the rest of regulation.

[02:47:05]

And here's a breakout.

[02:47:09]

Chatfield over to. Oh. Oh with the shot on the short end. Chatfield tries to feed it through Igor. He can't do it. And he stopped. Oh, my gosh. So many shorthanded chances for Carolina. Oh. Oh, my gosh.

[02:47:28]

Zabinijad almost gets one on Freddie Anderson, but Freddy covers it up with 8.3 left to go.

[02:47:40]

The Jarvis salt the Jarvis Stahl.

[02:47:43]

One, two.

[02:47:45]

Two on one.

[02:47:46]

That happened a few minutes ago. They're showing the replay. Great save by Igor. Oh, my goodness. Game saving twice and then the chatfield. Ajo save.

[02:47:59]

Back to two saves. The initial and then the rebound. Igor, ladies and gentlemen, on absolute fire. That's why you pay him the big bucks.

[02:48:13]

We're going overtime.

[02:48:20]

Wow.

[02:48:28]

Give me a second to catch my breath. Oh, my goodness. We have overtime hockey coming up. First stream of the playoffs for me and I get overtime hockey. How long has this gotta go? Shout out both teams right now. Round of applause for both teams. Shout out everybody in the chat right now. I appreciate you. We are heading to intermission. I don't have. I don't have anything to play for the intermission break. So we're going to sit here and chat for a little, little while. I gather something to play around Steve's round two place. I'm not going to do that again. I'm going to. What should I do? Why can't the least score in the playoffs? Brendan Shanahan Dunn play and Stu. Oh, Sheldon Keef said what? We can do that. That's a good one. Oh, there's the. Oh, should la buy out Pierre Luc Dubois? Let me see if I can play this. I might play this clip about should La buy out Pierre Luc Dubois for intermission. You know what we can do? You know, my favorite thing to do is before I get back to my favorite thing to you've never heard of in the twitch chat says, jesse, why don't you entertain some hypothetical leafs trades from the chat?

[02:50:34]

Amazing cook says, why do you guys not have a backup in case the game goes to ot? Hey, don't question why I'm unprepared cuz like we. I don't really need a backup because intermission from third period ot isn't that long. You know, we can just sit here and chat. But I can also like use a break to grab some more water. It's almost done. Air fryer recipes from Melissa. Air fryer recipes. One of the things I absolutely love doing. And wingle man will get to your comment. One of the things I absolutely love doing in the air fryer is barbecue cauliflower bites. So you get the cauliflower bites I like. You can just get the frozen ones. Like, you don't need to do them all yourself, but like even if you want, just grab the frozen cauliflower yourself and then you bread them a little and then you throw on just. You could do the barbecue directly in the air fryer and that's why the air fryer is the best thing ever, because you can do things like just throw barbecue sauce on it while it's in the air fryer, and you're just. You're good.

[02:51:53]

And they just leave it. You can't do that with the toasted oven. Can't do that with a microwave. It's gonna cook it into it, and then you got cauliflower bites. And then you got barbecue cauliflower bites. Fantastic stuff. And, like, if you get the right barbecue sauce is gonna come out amazing. Get, like, the chicken and rib flavor. Like, that's a good one. They did. There's, like, relatively really cheap. Like, when they're on sale, you can get, like, a bunch of chicken rib flavors. They're really good. Yeah, that's. That's one of my go to's. Cauliflower bites in the air fryer. That's good. It's good stuff. What do you guys.

[02:52:26]

Sweet baby rays. Sweet baby rays is.

[02:52:32]

Can't go wrong with some sweet baby rays. Hash browns. Marquette hash browns. Yes. Hash browns in the air fryer. Revolutionary. Just throw a whole bunch of. There, there. Walk away. This one's from Avery. Steak fries in the air fryer are top notch. Super crispy outside, but so soft inside. I haven't, um. I've never had. I've never had steak fries in the air fryer. I've never done them myself. That is. That's a good idea. Andrew says, oh, man, you make me hungry. Good. So we're here for air fryer. Chicken wings are easy. They are. That's from Beano Hawk Air fryer kebabs. I've never had air fry. Air fried kebabs. Send your best air fryer recipes. Not a recipe, but Trader Joe's panda Express. Orange chicken in the air fryer is perfect. I'm not the biggest orange chicken person. There's a mall.

[02:54:04]

A mall.

[02:54:05]

Fast food place called manchu walk. Here in Ontario, you go to any major mall, they're gonna have a manchu walk. Manchu walks, probably my favorite. Like, it's not real chinese food, but it's like our. The american chinese food is. Is what they are. They're mall chinese food. And manchu walk makes my favorite one. They have a great sweet and sour pork. Or what's the other one? Like a red chicken? I don't know what the sweet and sour chicken. That one too. Sweet. But sweet and sour pork is the one I like. The other chicken? No, it's the. The kung pao chicken I think it is. That one or the general xiao chicken. That one's good. That's the one. It's general now. And sweet and sour pork. Those are my two go to's. You get the side with the rice and then you get the. And they get the vegetable side. So you get like three sides. Like those are, those are my favorites from Manchu. Walk the orange chicken though. They also have an orange chicken. That's why I brought it up because they also have an orange chicken. I don't really like it. So I've never tried the trade.

[02:55:07]

We have Trader Joe's here now in Ontario too. Like we never used to have Trader Joe's and then trade. Joe's brought it up here. I've never tried the trader Joe's orange chicken because I'm not big orange chicken guy. So let me know what else you got. Sesame chicken is also good. Sesame chicken. Who has a good sesame chicken? I like.

[02:55:29]

What'S.

[02:55:29]

It's not Louisiana. Oh, Bourbon street grill. That's what I was looking for. Bourbon street gill. Now I'm just going through my favorite mall food court foods. Bourbon street grill is great. It's fantastic. I don't know if you got it where you're watching from. Bourbon street grill is just unreal. Can always do some Louisiana chicken with a side of mashed potatoes they got and like a rice. Cause I'll do like three sides or I'll do like four sides because they got the all the options and like a side of broccoli or something. Broccoli mashed potatoes in Louisiana chicken is always good from Bourbon street grill when you're at the mall. That's a good one. Manchu walks probably, I probably put Bourbon street grill ahead of Manchu walk on. Just taste level and like value level too. I think those are, I think those are my two go tos, though. They always have animals. A and w is always good. Good little teen burger. Wendy's though. Wendy's is where it's at. They got a Wendy's. Got to get some. Got to get me some Wendy's. The. What's my best Wendy's burger. I think the teen burger is always good.

[02:56:39]

Oh, no, that's a and w. Wendy's burger is the. It used to be called the big bacon classic and then they changed the name. I forget what it's called now, but it used to be called the big bacon classic and then now it has a different name. But that one, I think it's like number four on the menu. That's, that's my favorite combo and my favorite thing about Wendy's is the swap it with the froster. Like, you get the frosty in there and you get that instead of, because I don't drink soft drinks. Like, I don't drink pop soda for you Americans. Like, I don't, I don't drink, like, diet Coke. I don't drink cocoa. I don't drink sprite and all that stuff. I don't like it. So if I want to do something unhealthy when I'm at Wendy's, then we're getting my big baking classic with a large fries. I want to add to the unhealthiness. I'll do the frosty, the chocolate frosty instead of the drink because the chocolate frosty is unreal. Also, Wendy's chicken strips. Wendy's chicken strips. Like, if you haven't had Wendy's chicken strips, go try them. Fantastic stuff. And, like, surprisingly fantastic.

[02:57:53]

Like, unexpectedly, like, oh, this is like, diner quality chicken strips. Like, go try Wendy's chicken strips. What do you guys got? Bang heads, shots dead, says Adam. Still doing Edmonton game if this goes to OT Edmonton's tomorrow. So Adam will be doing the Edmonton Vancouver game tomorrow. Tonight it is Dallas, Colorado, which is happening right now. They are zero, zero at 1602 of the first period on my stream right now. Yeah, is the big bacon classic just the baconator now? Is that what they morphed it into? That's what people in the chat are saying. I think. I think. Yeah, yeah. I think they're just the, the baconator now, but, uh, yeah, that's my go to at Wendy's. Love me some wendy's. Gamer bro says Wendy's has chicken strips. Yes, they do. They do have chicken strips, and they are delicious. Let me know in the chat. Let me know in the chat who you think gets the overtime winner. My, my money is going on. Let's do Seth Jarvis for Carolina and let's do for New York trocheck. No laugh hat trick. So we'll, we won't do the gensler hat trick for Carolina. We'll do Seth Jarvis for Carolina.

[02:59:53]

It's like a wobbly shot. Way far out. Seth Jarvis wobbly shot goes in off Igor. Everyone's like, ah, that sucks. That went in. If you're a Rangers fan, like, ah, that was just like, bad bounce, bad deflection. But Seth Jarvis scores and then laugh hat trick on the Ranger side. He snipes one is. No, no, he slides it. Five hole, I think, on the laugh one. So let's, those are my two picks. Who are your picks. Jacqueline K. Says laugh for NY, for sure. Laffy hat trick says Lex. Johnny Simpson says assist by a ho. Wingle wiggle man says Keyandre Miller. Hey, Corey says, I guess exact score of four three. Rangers on draft kings. $45 if I win. So you're gonna win? Oh, no. Rangers still have to win. So if the Rangers score, it's gonna be four three. Well done. We got a zibinijad. Guess we got Krider from Jerry Noah. Noah constrictor says he always goes top shelf, so I should say top shelf.

[03:01:09]

Laugh.

[03:01:11]

Brock Besser says a ho on a garbage rebound.

[03:01:17]

Caught.

[03:01:18]

Kanyemi scores from Matt Marshall. Deez nuts says Freddie Anderson. Empty net.

[03:01:24]

Goal.

[03:01:25]

That's. I think we're well past that. Jake G. Genzel or paneran from Bethany. D. Freddie goal.

[03:01:34]

Freddie goalie. Why are we keeping Freddy goalie. Goals. What are you guys talking about?

[03:01:38]

Micah or paneran from Michael Jarvis always comes through. That's.

[03:01:45]

That's.

[03:01:45]

My money's on Michael Simpson says Mika jabin. Ajad Ali says let us dream.

[03:01:54]

Stop guessing, Freddie. Empty net. Goals. Guys.

[03:01:57]

Everybody.

[03:01:58]

Why?

[03:01:59]

That makes no sense. Please stop. Rempy says Steve. That'd be crazy. Brady Shea. We got a Brady Shea. David says Freddie empty net. Goal, too.

[03:02:19]

Pasta. Hey, ragamuff.

[03:02:21]

Mercamoffin says pasta off a dumping. Pasta off a dumping. How dare you? That is a Leafs reference, because I am a Leafs fan. Will Cooley in the crease. Laughy. From a terrible angle. That's what I'm going with. Matthew. Aaron Judge, what did you guys think of San Jose winning the draft lottery? That's their first ever draft lottery victory in the history of the franchise. So they're getting Macklin, Celebrini. Feel good for San Jose? Like, well, they had a lot of years of success there in the mid two thousands, but it never amounted to any kind of Stanley cup. You know, they had the long run a couple times, actually, and then the run to the finals, and they never won. So it's good to see them after, but they haven't, like, sucked for that long. They suck for a little bit, but not that long. It's not like buffalo sucking, you know, but it's good to see them get back to trying to win, you know, so it'll be a couple years still, but that's the piece. And they didn't really have the. The pieces to win, and now that they got it in Macklin, Celebrini, I think they're on their way to rebuilding.

[03:03:45]

So good for San Jose. What did you guys think? Jerry just says sharks with a exclamation point. I think. I think you're very happy. Jerry says, hell yeah. Justin says, pittsburgh got robbed of first overall. Matthew says, good for San Jose. Always loud. Always a loud building. Nice to see that again.

[03:04:11]

All right.

[03:04:12]

All right.

[03:04:12]

Here we go.

[03:04:13]

Oh, pucks already dropped behind.

[03:04:15]

All right, pucks dropped. Bring out the dancing friends over time. For the first time on our stream.

[03:04:22]

New York still on the power play with 5 seconds left. We are underway in overtime.

[03:04:28]

Our friends are going to come out to dance our way and get jacked up for overtime.

[03:04:38]

We got New York pressuring the zone and trying to get something going.

[03:04:49]

We don't know how long we're going.

[03:04:51]

To be here tonight, but it could be a long one. I hope everybody is well hydrated. I hope your bladders are empty. I hope your bellies are full.

[03:04:59]

I hope you are ready for overtime. Playoff hockey.

[03:05:21]

We have New York breaking out through the neutral zone, sending it in deep. Freddie playing it around the boards. Carolina coming up with it.

[03:05:30]

Going the other way.

[03:05:32]

It's three on three. Shot goes wide. Oh, trying to do something with it. Can't do anything. It is first team to score.

[03:05:44]

Wins the game.

[03:05:45]

The most beautiful time of the year. Stanley cup playoff time. The only thing that would make this better if it was game seven. But it's game two. OT. We got an icing by the Rangers. Big face off incoming. Trubas chirping hard. Trubas going at natures. Truba wants all the smoke right now. We have a huge face off. Incoming right now. If Carolina can win this draw, maybe get a good shot on. Go.

[03:06:28]

Oh, my gosh. Truba. Truba tried to take off naeches head.

[03:06:34]

They're showing the replay.

[03:06:36]

And he missed it. He missed it.

[03:06:38]

Completely embarrassing himself.

[03:06:43]

There's a shot on goal.

[03:06:45]

Goes wide.

[03:06:46]

It's tipped.

[03:06:47]

It's not a shot on goal. Shot wide by Carolina. They're pressuring now. Like I said, that was a huge face off. When it's led to this time in the zone for them, they're trying to get a dirty goal. They can't do it. Rangers clear. Jalen Chatfield's back playing it at center ice. New York's working the edges. Can't do anything with it. Going the other way with Orlov. Orlov dishes it out.

[03:07:20]

Oh, that's a. Oh, who just took that hearted into the boards?

[03:07:26]

Oh, no. A New York player just went hard into the boards. But I think he got up. No penalty on the play. They're just keeping going. They're still playing. I got to see the replay of that one. I think he just slipped like nobody. There's no reason for a penalty or anything there. Oh, my goodness. We're getting the Rangers now breaking out of the zone. Coming through center ice. Zabinijad plays it at the line and they are, they're onside. Long shot onto Freddy. Freddy gloves it. It's going the other way. Carolina's trying to make something happen. Can't do anything. We are all slowed up and doing our breakouts here. I got to bring up my play by play again. I couldn't hear it. There we go.

[03:08:34]

There's oh in the middle. Oh drives to the net. Great save on the bad by Shasturkin. And Carolina takes off the net. But they don't stop the play. Yes, they do. Laugh was going the other way and.

[03:08:46]

They finally stopped the play.

[03:08:50]

Oh, great chance. Oh.

[03:09:09]

Schneider.

[03:09:10]

Schneider.

[03:09:11]

So they're playing the replay of when Schneider went down to the boards. He's fine. He pops right back up. But I don't think that's a penalty. Schneider kind of slipped. Orlov just had his hand on him.

[03:09:21]

Aho.

[03:09:21]

Now they're showing the replay of his shot where Igor makes a great toe save. Shreshnikov gets shoved into the goalie by Adam Fox. Adam Fox goes down. Shove Sheshnikov into the net. He takes off the net and the whistle blows. Just end to end action here to kick off overtime.

[03:09:55]

Was that, was that a penalty?

[03:09:57]

Was the, was the Orlov push on Schneider a penalty? Because I only saw the one replay. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was a shove in the back. But the chat saying stick in skates def a penalty. That's from Brock Besser. Colton says no two o stars, by the way. That's money. Money dynamic. No, says Deez. Nuts. Stick was in skate, says Scott. Justin Fisher from the SD PN chat. You know what? I'm just gonna say this game is pretty good. Agreed. This game is fantastic. Melissa says not a penalty. I would need to see it again. I'm thinking just like from my eyes in real time, no penalty. If I'm a ref, I didn't see anything initially to call penalty. I know Schneider got up upset, but he got up fine, which is good. There's Brent Burns playing the puck to the other end of the ice. Goes all the way down. Adam Fox plays it around and now everybody's just playing. Send the puck to either end. Got a little calmer action now. Jerry said def. A penalty. Stick in skate, says Lex. I'm starting to believe that there was stick in skates.

[03:11:41]

Oho.

[03:11:42]

Working it. Sends it over the glass. Heifer 5321, says clock. It's literally, it's on the screen. We talking about.

[03:12:05]

This? This is the clock. What more do you want? All right.

[03:12:11]

Puck's dropped again.

[03:12:14]

Two, one, one shot. Freddie save. Point black. Roslovic with a great break. Left all alone.

[03:12:22]

The Keynes defenseman took the other man. Roslovic, one on one with the goalie.

[03:12:27]

Great save.

[03:12:28]

Freddie Anderson.

[03:12:34]

Wow.

[03:12:37]

Jalen Chatfield, fantastic work. That is how you play the two on one. Leave your goalie only one option.

[03:12:46]

Take away the pass.

[03:12:47]

Let him know that it's going to be one on one. You and the shooter. Ross Lever. Ross Levick versus Freddie Anderson. Chatfield did an exceptional job doing that. Big time play there. Big time player keeps his team alive. Rangers getting chances, though. Rangers looking dangerous. Carolina sends the puck all the way to the other end. And that is an icing, icing call.

[03:13:57]

Here it is right out in front.

[03:13:59]

New York can't get it past Freddy. Blocked in front by Carolina. Hurricanes finally able to change. Fresh bodies out there. Let's see if they can kind of tilt this. Oh, gets to the puck first. Aho's trying to work the puck behind the net.

[03:14:37]

They're trying to get out in front. Aho again with another shot. He is all over the puck in this OT. And Igor makes a fantastic save once again. My goodness, Igor.

[03:14:55]

The man is having an unbelievable overtime. I think that's four saves so far that have just been game saving, literally, because next goal wins. Sheikhov did a fantastic job getting the puck off of the boards. Sends it out in front. Ajo is able to get there. Igor closes the five hole where it could have easily been slipped through. Fantastic save there. Shasturkin is on his game. And here we have a weak shot. I think that was by Terravinen, gloved by Igor again. We're gonna get another face off. Here we go. Is my stream ahead of yours, redtooth? There's no way. There's got to be some latency. We're going to be here all night. Jordan stuff flipped. It says the broadcast. We are slowing down here. I think everybody's getting acclimatized.

[03:16:32]

Oh, no. Rangers. China trying to get out. They can't. Puck stuck along the.

[03:16:39]

Along the boards. And there we go. Rangers finally get out of the zone. And Carolina gets the puck. Okay, so we're the end to end. Action slowed, which I think is good for the Rangers, because Carolina looked very dangerous there for a couple minutes. Here we go. Oh, offside at the line. Crider. Crider looked to be one on one with the goalie. And it's offside at the blue line.

[03:17:15]

Whoo.

[03:17:17]

Dallas is up 20 over the abs. Your stream big, mister Big Fry says your stream is ahead of mine. I have to rewind about 20 seconds. Should I slow down my stream? There we go.

[03:17:41]

Oh, that's a penalty. You can't do that. You can't do that. Jacob Truba. You can't do that. Carolina, with the one of the most.

[03:17:59]

Deadliest power plays in the National Hockey League, are officially going to the power play. That is a tripping call on Jacob Truba. His stick got Marty Natchez right on the shins. And he goes down. And what do we have here? A power play opportunity for the Carolina Hurricanes and a chance to tie this series at one. Can they do it? Puck is dropped.

[03:18:39]

Oh, got it in the corner.

[03:18:45]

Brent Burns had it at the point. Sends it back down deep.

[03:18:49]

Back around.

[03:18:50]

Oh, my. Keep an eye on him because he's been hot. Sebastian Aho right for at the point.

[03:19:02]

Oh, they try a one timer in the middle.

[03:19:04]

The svest can't do anything.

[03:19:08]

One timer wide.

[03:19:12]

Shveznikov misses a one timer wide. No real chance of@the.net. Gensoul takes it around, over to Ajo, up to Brent Burns at the top. Over the Ajo.

[03:19:26]

Ajo waits. Shoots right into the middle of Igor Shasturkin.

[03:19:41]

Lot of pressure there by the Carolina hurricanes. My overtime winning pick, Seth Jarvis was standing next to the net looking for the tip. Nah, you need to get close. He wasn't that close to the net. Carolina, good pressure. Good little shot there by aho. Needed, needed more bodies, though. They needed more bodies in front of the net. Seth Jarvis should have creeped up. Face off. Has been dropped one by Carolina. Tony D takes it back, sends it over to nature. Nature is working in the aho spot. Natures has got it again at the face off. Dot skates, looking for a man. Back up to Tony D. Natures again with it.

[03:20:31]

Looking again. Cross ice.

[03:20:35]

Tony D goes down.

[03:20:37]

Back over to nature. Nature's wires it.

[03:20:42]

Sterkin the save. Tony D looks to shoot, but doesn't. Passes it over to naetches the. Oh, the pass down low. Doesn't work. After he tries to center, it leaves the zone. Carolina's got a regroup, trying to enter the zone again. Jordan Stahl's got it. And New York gains possession, sends it out to the middle of the ice. And Caroline ends up with one shot on that power play opportunity. New York kills it. Slavin tries a slap shot from deep. Can't get it on net. New York flips it out to the middle of the ice.

[03:21:29]

A little bit of a play here. Oh, my goodness. Out of nowhere, Vinytrochek gets the puck.

[03:21:39]

That'S flipped to the other end of the ice.

[03:21:42]

He goes. He tries to go.

[03:21:44]

Top shelf.

[03:21:45]

Can't do it.

[03:21:47]

Puck goes over the glass. And we have a pause in the action. Finally, a pause in the action. What a back and forth. Everybody take a break. Chill out, have a glass of water. We are almost back to the action. There are no tv timeouts. I believe in overtime. I believe that's the rule. They just let the action keep going. We've been here the whole time, watching everybody as they scrape the ice. Adam Fox there on the bench talking to his boys. Some people are drinking some body armor. We are here in the chat, and I appreciate everybody who's with us tonight. Round of applause for all of you. If you are not familiar with me, I am Jesse Blake. I work. I can't even point out this. There we go. There we go. I'm Jesse Blake. I work at SCPN. I'm here streaming Carolina New York. I got my own channel. It's called the Jesse Blake Sports report. Go subscribe to that channel. It's a good time. Talk. A lot of blue jays over there, and oh, boy, are they depressing. If you don't listen to Steve Dangle podcast, listen to the Steve Dangle podcast, best podcast in the world, produced by the best media network on Planet Earth.

[03:23:36]

Listen to Steve Dangle podcast. If you don't absolutely love a man named Justin Fisher, you should absolutely love that man. Some people say he's the second coming. Some people say that. Justin Fisher, everybody shout out, Justin Fisher. We got a very big face off with 936 on the clock. The pucks in the offensive zone for the New York Rangers. Haven't been the greatest on the face off so far tonight, but they win this one back.

[03:24:16]

They keep it in the zone. Laughs out there. He's on Hattie Watch.

[03:24:23]

The puck is.

[03:24:24]

The shot is blocked.

[03:24:26]

Trochak tried. Defeated out front, got blocked. Panarin's out there. Laughs out there. Tro Trek's out there. They're cooking.

[03:24:34]

They're looking for one. One goal wins the game. Trojan laugh's fighting. Oh, my goodness. Laugh wins a big puck battle along the boards.

[03:24:48]

They're keeping the puck in but they're still playing along the boards. Nothing to the middle of the ice here. Panarin slips up. Panarin slips up. No penalty on the play. Pucks out of the zone, and they come in back in. Offside, three. Oh, Dallas. Dallas is up 30. Slavin, you don't get that call in playoff OT, but Slavin, I think, had a little bit of a stick on skate to Paneran there. A little bit of a stick on skate.

[03:25:40]

Drew.

[03:25:41]

Producer Drew, who works at SCPN, is a huge Colorado avalanche fan. He is in shambles right now as the. Oh, Roslovic comes charging down the ice. Shot on goal is tipped over the net. Roslvic looks to the sky, asking, what more can I do? Producer drew, huge as fan. They are down three, nothing to the Dallas Stars. Jalen Chatfield, once again, huge play. Huge tip on that, on that. Roslovic shot one timer from the point for Truba. Cannot get through. Everybody's blocking shots. Most important thing you can do here in overtime, block those shots. Don't let anything through. And both teams are doing a great job at it.

[03:26:32]

But here one does sneak through. It's Mika Zbizzabitjat on Freddy. All alone. Freddy makes a huge save. Freddy Anderson standing tall. Huge save on Mika Zabinijad. Gosh darn, Freddy. Wow. Great little play there.

[03:27:02]

Zebenijet sneaks in behind Martinic. Truba finds him all alone. If he makes one move and doesn't shoot it right at Freddy, that's a goal. Schneider shot one from the point, deflected high in the air. Carolina picks it up. They're going the other way. Offside, Brady Shea. Offside, Brady Shea. Offsides. Jake Gensler. He's been through this a couple times. He know. He knows what it takes to win a Stanley cup. To win a Stanley cup playoff game. They're replaying the Truba. Zabinijad Chance. Great play by Truba. Great play by Zebenjad. Just gotta finish a little better. But that's a little. That's a tired body who's played three and a half periods of hockey. You know, it's a little much to do. That dangles there, shoots it right at Freddy. Puck stopped. Everyone who's here, thank you for being here. Appreciate you tuning into this overtime hockey with me. Oh, that's off size or that's icing.

[03:28:30]

Whoo.

[03:28:31]

Little bit of a weird icing call there on Carolina. So now we have a huge face off coming up for the New York Rangers. They can win a face off. They can have possession in the Carolina zone. Maybe get a nice shot on goal here. Get lucky critters out there. What else is out there for this face off? Does a ho get kicked out? Ajo went a little early, but does not get kicked out.

[03:29:04]

New York wins a huge face off Adam Fox. Freddy can't glove it.

[03:29:10]

Little bit of a risky situation there with Freddy in his glove with a soft shot on goal by Adam Fox. Freddy can't glove it initially, but he pounces on it after he drops it. Huge face off win there by zebenjet. Over to Adam Fox, who tries to dangle and gets the puck stolen from him. I would. I would have rather seen Fox play that puck back, you know, play it to the point somewhere instead of trying to make a dangle and drive to the net. Carolina has now got the puck in the zone. They're trying to get something going, driving the net. Oh, that stall almost squeaks one far side on Igor, but it goes wide. Great positioning by shasturkin there. Puck's hanging out in the neutral zone. Here we go. Rangers enter the zone. Will Cooley working it around there. Can't get the puck back after he sends it back around. That's going to be icing on the hurricanes if it reaches the line. Another big face off. We have five gifted memberships from Jeremy Curry. Thank you, Jeremy. This confetti is for you. Appreciate you gifting the memberships. You are a legend. And here is your dancing panda for the gifted membership.

[03:31:11]

We got 632 left to go in the first overtime period. Shots are 49 to 35 in fav in favor of Carolina. Justin said, jesse, hit him with the snail, please. I can do that. The snail is out. As requested by Justin Fisher. Snail is out. The snail is dancing. Six minutes left here. Overtime, which team is gonna be the next one to get some pressure on goal? Both teams in this overtime have had a crazy amount of chances. Like, both teams, it's just who's going to be the one to make that fatal mistake? We're playing a lot in the neutral zone here. Back and forth. Aho. I've been screaming Aho's name all night. He sends a floater, a very soft loader, onto the chest of Igor Shasturkin. I've loved Sebastian Ajo's game tonight. I think he's been, like, relentless on the puck. Penalties, not so much.

[03:32:42]

Not.

[03:32:42]

Not a fan of penalties, but Ajo has been great. Caroline, as a whole have taken quite a few bad penalties. I think they've had slightly more opportunities as well, here's Tony D.

[03:33:12]

Big shot on goal, gloved by Shasturkin.

[03:33:18]

Yeah, we're talking just opportunities, dangerous shots, high danger scoring opportunities. The, the lean is to Carolina so far tonight, but New York has capitalized on the opportunities that they've had. They're good at the greasy goals. 51 shots on goal so far for Carolina. That would be 48 saves for Igor. Two more. Two more saves from a 50 save effort from Igor Shasturkin. The Rangers have the puck in the zone. They're trying to get some shots to the net, but they keep getting blocked. Two block shots there for Carolina. They've been doing a great job. Blocking shots. Shot from the point.

[03:34:16]

Does it sneak through? Freddy makes a save and the puck is out.

[03:34:20]

It's not in the back of the net. Rangers maintain possession. They're circling, sending another one to the wars. The net, it goes up and out over the glass. Adam Fox, serious chance there to end this game. Seth Jarvis playing some good defense, blocking the front of the net, trying to box out. Wenberg showing that, that replay right now, megachronic says, will this ever end? No. We're going to be here from now until the sun expires. This game is never, ever going to end. Carolina negates an icing there. And the puck is up the other end of the ice. And now Orlov's breaking out for the hurricanes. He's looking for someone to pass to. Orlov holds the puck, finally passes it to Chatfield. That was just an hour with the puck at the blue line. Orlov just standing there looking for someone. Carolina is now working the puck behind the net.

[03:35:53]

They send it out front.

[03:35:55]

Nobody can tip it. It hits a skateboard, it stays out there fighting for it in front of the net in the slot. The New York Rangers send it down the ice trying to get out of trouble. It is an icing huge face off coming up for the Carolina hurricanes. I'm out of water. I'm out of water. We have been streaming for so long and we are guaranteed an overtime goal. Carolina wins the face off. Orlov has it, sends it down to Sheveshnikov. Svestikov's shot was blocked. Now Igor comes out, covers the puck as Sveshnikov tries to go after him. Everyone surrounding Shevesnikov now. Oh, Robert Malloy. Shout out Robert Malloy, everybody. Robert Malloy in the chat says you've officially broken your record for longest stream.

[03:37:11]

Oh, wow.

[03:37:12]

Longest before was 3 hours. Am I well over 3 hours, right? Because I started at seven. It's 1038 now. Yeah. No, this is, uh, this is easily my longest stream ever. Rangers now of the puck. They're trying to set up in the offensive zone. They cannot do it. Puck goes the other way in the neutral zone for Carolina. They make a change. Kendra Miller over to Schneider. Schneider breaks out. Braden Schneider going end to end.

[03:37:54]

British.

[03:37:54]

Schneider, beautiful. Gets the puck in deep. Carolina trying to look, trying to break out here at the neutral zone. Gets the puck over at the blue line and it bounces up and over the glass. Two minutes, 35 seconds left here. Getting a face off in the neutral zone. Both teams are playing a lot tighter. If you've been here for this whole stream, first of all, I appreciate you. Second of all, both teams playing real tight right now. Nobody wants to make that fatal mistake. 235 left. What Carolina has done so far in this game has had an, has had a, a masterful ability to score late in periods. New York will top the game. Carolina comes back little bit left in the period they tie, they take the lead. So if periods one and two have taught us anything, it's with two minutes and 26 seconds here left. We should be very worried if you're a Rangers fan or you should be very excited if you're a Hurricanes fan, that the Hurricanes get one here late. They're good at breaking hearts. Once you're comfy thinking you're getting to an intermission, they sneak one by you.

[03:39:39]

Let's see if they do it here. Let's see what they got. The Rangers are the one with the puck now, but they can't get anything going. And once again, we get a puck over the glass and we have a pause in the action. Sarah says, I'm so. I'm also sleepy. Sleepy crew. Shout out the sleepy crew. Everyone who should be in bed right now. It's 10:41 p.m. On the east earned time zone. A lot earlier for you westerners, this is nothing. Colorado. Dallas is still early. Where are they? Like halfway through. I haven't checked the score recently. Freddy plays it off, off of the draw. Carolina tries to leave the zone.

[03:40:41]

Paneran shoots a slapper stick, breaks it. There's a shot on Freddy. Beautiful pad save.

[03:40:49]

There's Orlov. Come the other way. Sends a deep.

[03:40:51]

Igor's playing out of his net like.

[03:40:53]

He loves to do. All game chance in front for Carolina. It's stolen by New York. Carolina sends us or Carolina. New York sends a soft loader to the middle of the zone that Orlov is easily picked up sitting behind the net. Send it out to a ho. Coming up in the spot he loves on that wing there. Slavin hops up in the action, can't do anything. And now there's a breakout the other.

[03:41:37]

Way by New York. One timer. Zabitjet stopped by Freddie Anderson. What a save on the one timer. Saves the game. Wow.

[03:41:58]

Some pressure now from New York. But they lose the puck. It's over in the neutral zone. Dumped off for a change for the hurricanes. Fresh bodies out there. Schneider plays it to the middle. They're holding the pockets offside at the line. Barclay Guudreau came in offside. And let's see what the call is here. Yeah, they're calling it. They're calling it offside. Barclay Gudrun, you were offside. Oh, they played the replay in the arena and everybody saying he wasn't offside. Premature whistle. Is that icing?

[03:42:54]

Okay, everything works out for the Rangers.

[03:42:57]

So it seemed like Barclay Goodrow was called for offside, but he wasn't really offsides. And now they win the face off. Carolina ices the puck. So the face off is going to come in the offensive zone for the New York Rangers. So you're going to shot here with a couple seconds left here. 19 seconds left in the first overtime. What's going to happen? 19 seconds, they lose the face off. We're going overtime. Number two.

[03:43:48]

Deep breaths, everybody. Deep breaths.

[03:43:56]

All right, all right, all right. Give me a second here. Give me a second. Give me a second. First of all, let's get close. I'm at a certain amount of focus, so I can't really get close. I'll settle like, I'll just get blurry. Like if I get close, like autofocus isn't on, so I can't really get close. Let's, uh, let's get close. Let's have a little chat here. So, first of all, I want to thank everybody for being here. You could have been anywhere in the world, but you chose to be here right now watching this stream.

I used to produce his show, his radio show, his afternoon show, but I also used to help out with other videos around the station as a. As, like, a content producer. And one summer, we went down to. We went down to Wonderland with Jax Irwin, who used to work there as well. Shout out Jax on air, on Instagram. Go follow her. She makes great content. And we spent. No lie, no lie, no lie. I think it was like 10 hours at Wonderland and. And that. It was just. It was just exhausting because we were just filming. We gotta make this and we gotta shoot this roller coaster. We gotta go on the behemoth. We gotta show what this food tastes like. And we shot everything in the park and took us, like, 10 hours to do. And I was over it. After that moment, I never wanted to go to Wonderland again. And I don't think I've been back since. And that was around, I wanna say, 26, 2016. The summer of 2016. I haven't been back since. No, I've been back once. I've been back. I shouldn't say I haven't been back. I've been back once.

[03:51:30]

It was actually to shoot something else, but I got to enjoy the park that day, and it wasn't 10 hours, but we used to also have. They have a media event. If you're not in the media, you wouldn't know big time. I'm big timing you. But every year, Wonderland throws a media event before the park opens. And, like, they invite all the media around Toronto and the GTA to come see the park and everything new they have that year. And with the media event, you get, like, a free barbecue lunch and all that stuff. And it's not just. The media shouldn't call it a media event, because it's also a Wonderland employees families events, friends and families event. They're also there in the park. The park isn't just closed from the media. It's friends and families as there, too. But you get. You get to see the park early, and you get to try all the food. So I went to Wonderland every year for free around that time as well. And eventually you just get tired of. You can only do one theme park every. Every time. Again, if you don't know what I'm talking about, because we just talked about all these.

[03:52:27]

All these different places that people are watching from. Wonderland is the only theme park here in the greater Toronto area. That's, like, a good, decent theme park. It's our six flags, and we only have Wonderland. Like, we don't have anything else. We don't have anything fun. We don't have a six flags. We had just have this wonderland place. It's called Wonderland. It's basically a six flags, but we don't have anything cool besides that. So this is our one theme park because we don't really have the land to. But we have the land to build theme park, but not. They don't want to use it for that. So, like, that's our. That's our one theme park anyways. That's it. That's. That's my wonderland talk for the evening. Let's get to the super chats. Thank you, Justin, for sending along the super chats. Can we get hot lettuce? Thank you for the donation. Hot lettuce wants the dancing panda. Yes, we can bring out to panda. We got ot panda coming. There's panda. Well, air horns for panda. I also have this music hasn't really applied, but panda can dance to it. It doesn't really work. This is when things get cheeky, you know, it's like, oh, what are you talking about now?

[03:53:36]

Hmm? Ah. Hmm.

[03:53:41]

What's going on there? So that is your panda. This is from amazing Cook 143, who super chatted and said, did you have any plans for tomorrow morning? Too bad. Playoff ot, baby.

[03:54:00]

Whoo.

[03:54:05]

My plans tomorrow are to record the steve dangle podcast. Yes, I did have plans for tomorrow. Yes. And I will be doing that. I will be showing up regardless of if I have a voice or not because I'm going to be talking for 4 hours here. I will be recording steve Dangle podcast tomorrow. Thank you for thinking of me, though. Amazing. Amazing kook. Thank you for thinking of me. Or were the other 142 amazing kooks already took are taken? You're amazing kook. 143. Were the other 142 taken? This one comes from wingleman. What would you want from the blues for, for Mitchell Marner? Should the blues be tearing it down or is the retool still a viable option?

[03:54:55]

I think the blues.

[03:54:58]

Alan Walsh said something interesting on the age of provocateur that's coming out tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning there's gonna be a new episode. Agent provocateur. Go listen to it.

[03:55:07]

On it.

[03:55:08]

He said the St. Louis blues sold too early after their Stanley cup victory in 2018 because blues were 18. Tampa's 2021. No, blues are 19, Tampa's 20, Tampa's 21, Colorado's 22. Blues 2019. He said after that Stanley cup victory, they sold too early. And I'd love to know from Blues fans if you think he's correct. Should have they have kept the band together a little longer and did they abandon what they had a little too quickly? Like, obviously the salary cap is in play there and it's tough to keep everybody together, but Doug Armstrong made moves not too long ago to sell off a piece like Petro Angelo. And, like, do you keep that? Because, like, do you find any way to keep that? Is that even an option? I don't know. I'd love to hear from Blue fan, Blues fans what they think about that comment from Allen because I thought it was very interesting, and I don't think he's too far off, off of it because you look at the young players that have been injected into that blues lineup, like, like Jordan Kairu, like, unbelievable player. And if you hold together what you have and you have an injection of new talent and you keep all the old guys together, would they be in a better position now than if they sold off the pieces that they had?

[03:56:41]

And like, Billy Husso, you couldn't keep because you couldn't afford that, right? Like, there's so certain guys where you just wouldn't be able to keep it because we live in a salary cap world and Billy Husso is one of them. So you couldn't just run the Bennington tandem, one, two. But like, based on how Billy, who so played in Detroit this year, you.

[03:56:57]

Probably, you're probably fine, you know?

[03:56:59]

So I wonder from Blues fans what you think about that. This is from crash test fetus. What a name. How long does an SD PN episode take to take with prep, etcetera?

[03:57:13]

That's a great question.

[03:57:15]

That's a great question. So prep is done by Adam wild. Adam outlines the show and all that. And then we record. And recording will take, for a two hour episode, it'll take 2 hours and 30 minutes because there's like the 15 minutes off the top where you need to turn on everything, 15 minutes off the back where you need to close down everything. That sort of are. We've, we've like, we've really nailed down how easy it is for us to get going. Like, because we have our own studio now. We used to be in for, if you follow the Steve dangle podcast for the, the eleven years that we've been on the air, we've had like seven, six different studios. And usually in cases where we were recording, it required a full setup. We had to set up the lights, we had to get the mixer ready. We had to move all the mics and the chairs and all that stuff. And now that we have our own studio, it's our studio. We're the ones in there every day. You go in there, you turn on the lights, you turn on the cameras, you're boom, you're ready to go.

[03:58:22]

Everything stationary, and boom. So that's been so easy and so helpful with the production side of it, because then when you're done, you just grab, you gather the files. They requiring some editing, they require some putting together. Export's always difficult. You can only make a computer so fast. We have, we have some of the fastest Macs. We were edit on Macs in premiere Pro. We have the fastest Mac that you can get. A Mac studio that's like juice to the gills. A two hour podcast, that's 4k still requires some time to export. And like we've got. I've gotten the export down, like, in terms of the whole streamlined thing. Like when I hit export on the file, it's only going to be like a, for a full two hour episode, it'll probably be a 30 minutes export for like an 90 minutes episode. It can be as short as like 20 minutes, which is great stuff, depending on like, how many ads we have in there, how many graphics need to go over. That might take a little longer or shorter. But yeah, usually if we're done recording we usually have our episodes up by 05:00 p.m..

[03:59:26]

Eastern. If it's a recording that starts at like eleven, say we all get to the studio for eleven. It'll be up by 05:00 p.m. Which I think is pretty good for a 4k show that's going on four. There's four different versions of the show because you count all the ad free versions and the you, the videos and the audios. I think it's a pretty good production schedule that we have going at SDP now.

[03:59:51]

We are back. It is over time. The score bug cannot handle second OT plus double digits.

[04:00:00]

We are underway.

[04:00:02]

Puck has dropped on OT. I hope you are ready. Let's get the music going. Who do you think is going to win? Get the animals up here to hype us up. We're in for a late one. Ladies and gentlemen, 4 hours on stream. Who do you got potting? The OT winner.

[04:00:33]

Let me know in the comments. We have a whole bunch of people watching right now. I appreciate all of you tuning in. We are going long. We are sticking around until this thing is over, until somebody scores a goal.

[04:00:52]

New York years rush into the net. Can't fire at home.

[04:00:57]

Trochak misses, misses the corner. Can't end it. Artemi Panarin is stopped and the puck comes out to center. Lafferinier circling back passes it over to Keandre Miller. The score bug has never did not anticipate second OT. It cannot handle it. It's trying its best. Here we go, Marty.

[04:01:32]

Nature shot on goal.

[04:01:35]

Igor makes the save. Nature's is now working. Passes over to Chatfield. Chatfield can't hit anybody down below. Rangers pick it up, send it out to center ice. And now Carolina has it and they're regrouping. Chatfield has the puck by his own net. Over to Orlov, over to Stahl. Stahl's trying to get behind the net. Does is in the Gretzky zone.

[04:02:06]

Fights out front. Jordan stole off the pad of Igor Shasturkin and we have 50 saves on.

[04:02:14]

The night for Igor Shasturkian. It's actually 54 51 now. 54 shots on goal for the Carolina Hurricanes. Wow. 50 saves now for Igor Shasturkin. And this last one game saving off the toe off the end of the stick stops Jordan stall three three. It remains 1739 to go face off in the offensive zone for the Rangers. Let's see if they can win this one back. Get a little pressure, make Freddie Anderson sweat a little bit. They do not win it. Brent Burns takes it back, but Rangers are able to keep it in the zone. Hurricanes get the puck and they get out and they ice it. They ice it. Let me get to this super chat quickly.

[04:03:22]

Trevor moore.

[04:03:24]

Trevor moore, super chats. I appreciate you, Trevor Moore. Yes, my name is Trevor Moore. I have PTSD from it. I wish I was making four times 20 mil. So you're not that Trevor Moore. I've played hockey since I was four. I think Utah should be named the zebras. Shout out Trevor Moore. That sucks that your name is Trevor Moore and you are not that Trevor Moore. Thank you for the super chat. I greatly appreciate it. Austin says fix the. Fix the clock. I can't. You're gonna have to deal with it. It says 1722. It's as best as it's gonna get. New York's working with the puck behind the net. Trocheck can't get it. Carolina stops it, sends it in deep. And they are going for some fresh bodies. Here we go.

[04:04:26]

Artemi panera. Oh, right in the slot. Great save, Freddy Anderson. Carolina comes up the other way. Looks to be a 210211. Sorry. Great save, Igor. And we got a penalty.

[04:04:43]

Yeah, there was a big hook on nature. New York was very concerned about this. Two on one who was coming back and he hooked nature. I didn't catch the Rangers player who had the hook. Was it Panarin? No, trocheck. Who's desperate. Oh, there it is. Panarin. Yeah, so Nietzsche's beats Panarin up the ice. Paneran. Oh, that's a bad ah. Not a great hooking penalty on Paneran there.

[04:05:19]

Now we have an OT power play.

[04:05:22]

For the Carolina Hurricanes here. Can they get it done?

[04:05:28]

Can they put us to bed? Here we go. Seth Jarvis in the draw. Huge face off coming up here. New York wins it back. Can Carolina keep it in the zone? They do.

[04:05:44]

Over to Brent Burns at the point. Brent Burns by the Tylenol ad. Waits for it. Sends it back around. Seth Jarvis down low. Back up to Brett Burns. Over to Genzel.

[04:06:03]

Lindgren hits him from behind. No penalty. There's a shot on goal. Blocked. Lindgren with a who?

[04:06:14]

A crush against the boards. Huge block there by the Rangers, though there. Seth Jarvis battling for the puck. Down low.

[04:06:30]

Ojo comes out of the pile with.

[04:06:31]

The puck, sends it to Burns at the point.

[04:06:33]

Burns back down to Ajo. Oh, Ajo down to Szeweschnikov.

[04:06:41]

Shresnikov can't beat it in front.

[04:06:42]

Shresnikov gets it down low, though, decides to hold it.

[04:06:45]

Doesn't make a move towards the net. Sends it back over to, uhoh.

[04:06:49]

Uhoh. Back to Svetz. They're just playing tic tac toe. Bread burst from the point. It's blocked. Oh, again, Igor with the save.

[04:07:03]

Shvetnikov tries to get in the face of Igor, and he gets moved out of the way by Kyandre Miller. We got another huge draw coming up. Sabanajad's arguing with the referee. The crowd is doing the Igor chant. Lindgren took a risky play, tackling a ho. They're showing some of the replays here. What a huge kill right now from the New York Rangers. Here we go. Huge draw again. 43 seconds left in the pp. Can they pp kill it? Tony D is working with the puck. Terra vine and got it down low. Tony D is back with it up top. Tony D is just dancing the line. You gotta pass it somewhere. He tries to feed it down. New York stops it. They send it down the length of the ice. Freddie Anderson passes it to Sony D'Angelo, who tries to work the breakout. Now Marty nature, tasked with a breakout.

[04:08:19]

Comes with a huge shot in the slot.

[04:08:21]

Goes wide. Igor does not have to make save number 53 on that one. And New York has successfully killed the power play. Marty nature comes down the other end, though, in a weak shot on Sir Sterkin, which he saves. And there is save number 53.

[04:08:44]

Whoo. Wow.

[04:08:47]

What action. Great play. There was that Keyandre Miller blocking terravine and stick there. Fantastic play. On the replay, you could see Keyandre Miller really got into the of terravine and stopped him from getting any chance there. Every chance is huge. Oh, the Avs are back. The Avs are back in the game. Three, two. If anybody scoreboard watching the other one, never count, never count out Nathan McKinnon. He can do anything. Carolina wins the draw here. They're trying to keep the puck in the zone. I think they're going to be able to. Are they gonna win the puck? Bell against the boards. Power play has been killed. It's five on, 514 minutes left in the second overtime.

[04:09:35]

There's a shot onto the net.

[04:09:37]

Carolina is getting some good pressure here. Igor stopped another one, but bounced into the corner. Now they're all working. Here's Stahl with the puck down low. Passes it around the back. Can't do anything with it. Rangers get it. They flip it out to center ice. There's a couple bodies there. Here's pin it. Oh, that's trocheck. Trocheck.

[04:10:02]

At near the dot, gets tripped. No call. No call by the referees. Oh, no. They called it. They called it. They called it. They called it.

[04:10:15]

Oh, they called it.

[04:10:19]

Trochak got upended. Then the hand was so late, they were unsure.

[04:10:28]

It legitimately took like 5 seconds, you know, 12345.

[04:10:37]

Like, that's a long time not to call a penalty.

[04:10:44]

Trocheck did get upended. It's a push, then a cross check. What's the call gonna be? Cross checking.

[04:10:54]

Brady Shea.

[04:10:56]

Brady Shea cross checking. In the Brady Shea revenge series, is.

[04:11:02]

He a secret agent for the New York Rangers? Was this the plan all along? They sent him to Carolina four years ago so that today in 2024, he would commit a penalty in overtime. In the second overtime so that New York would get a power play and end the game. Did James Dolan send Brady Shea on a mission? This could be it. Huge face off. Trochak wins it back.

[04:11:34]

Let's see what happens. I think my theory's correct, carolina fans, you might have a secret agent on your team. Watch out for his suspect behavior.

[04:11:53]

Is he sus, if New York scores here, you know, it's.

[04:11:57]

You know, it's true. Carolina is doing a fantastic job with this penalty, with this power. Penalty kill. Let's see what happens.

[04:12:14]

Oh, in the middle. Oh, right in the middle.

[04:12:16]

Crider with a chance.

[04:12:18]

Go. Goal, New York. Vincent Trojik. Vincentroshek. Vincent Trochek grabs the rebound. Everybody go to bed. 4 hours later, Vincent Trochek. We've been on stream for 4 hours, and he's sending us to bed. Brady shea's a mole. Brainy shay's undercover. James Dolan set him for this moment. New York scores on the power play. They end the game for three. They take a 20 series lead. Finny Trochek able to scoop up a rebound, able to feed it through Freddy. It was a scramble in front. It's a beautiful, beautiful playoff goal. I'm watching the replay now. Brent Burns isn't able to clear.

[04:13:24]

They get the puck in front.

[04:13:27]

Freddy couldn't glove it. Freddy tries to glove it. Trojek's standing right where he should be. Picks up the winner.

[04:13:36]

Oh, that's beautiful positioning by him.

[04:13:39]

Oh, it bounces off of Brent Burns, too. That's so unfortunate for the Kanes. What a game. One more time.

[04:13:48]

That is a goal for the New York Rangers.

[04:13:50]

Everybody, good night. Bring out the animals one last time. Get the confetti. Whoo. All right, that's it for me. It's been quite a nice.

[04:14:38]

Thank you, everybody, for hanging out. Thank you. Thank you for hanging out. Oh my gosh. 4 hours on streams. Too much.

[04:14:46]

Woo.

[04:14:47]

That would be at a good time. Everybody. Thank you for being here. You could have been anywhere in the world. But you'll be watching this right now. And I appreciate you for that.

[04:14:53]

I will be back for game number.

[04:14:55]

Three of this series. I swear if it goes to overtime again, I would be so tired. I'll be so mad at these teams. But that's it. We got a double ot game. Good night everybody. Everybody say good night to your fellow chatters. Everybody say good night to your chatters in the stream. Crab people, that's what I call you. The crab emoji is our hype emoji. Finally, Vini Trochak sends us to bed. I hope I see you here again on Thursday for a good time. Hopefully not a long time.

[04:15:34]

Hit.

[04:15:34]

Like Hit subscribe on the channel. I think that's it.
