What is a reasonable ask for Trevor Zegres? How do you price that player? How do the Ducks price that player? I'm not so sure because he's still a pretty rare commodity, and the holes in his game are well known across the league. It's not a secret. Everyone sees them, everyone knows about them. Frankly, I think there's some teams who just wouldn't be interested. I don't know the Canadians to be one of those teams, but setting a price on him is tricky.

The thing is for a team like the Anaheim Ducks, who's got a ton of cap space, and they're turning to their young players, and they're looking to add scoring, why would they trade Trevor Zygras? If they do, in itself, it sends a red flag that limits his value. It goes against the logic of their own position to be trading that guy. There must be a reason why they do so. The simple fact of putting him on the market limits his value.
