As for my interview with tree living, I really appreciate. It gave me a lot of time, more than I would have expected. How last summer unfolded for him, when he looked at the Leifs' playoff loss last year, he determined it was a lack of scoring more than anything else that tripped them up. It wasn't about not playing tough or something. The element he felt they needed more of was scoring, and that informed some of the free agent decisions he made. I think he left me to fill in the blanks, but I think specifically, Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi, players that can score when it gets hard to score. Greasy goals, goals around the net, having to fight to get there. He also was pretty clear that I think he's high on his team. He feels like they'll benefit in a strange way from the slow start they had, all the issues, from Samsonov being porous to it was a disjointed forward group. I think Bertuzzi and Domi didn't initially fit in well, and they kept moving the lines around and couldn't find combinations at work. The blue line had a lot of injuries and some struggles as a result of those things.

But the Leaps have had a pretty good run now, 16, 6, and 1 back to January.
