Tell me about your dad.

[00:00:01]

My dad, he was a very charismatic person. His name was Sunny. I tell you now, the sun that you see outside, that is what represents my dad.

[00:00:12]

Sunny and Shannon were as close as a dad and daughter could be. This is your dad out in Cambodia? Yeah. She followed his travels around the world through the posted share on social media. He didn't know that his most recent trip to Cambodia would be his last. Authorities say Sonny took his own life from the 22nd floor of this hotel in March. But Shannon doesn't believe what she's been told because a similar incident was reported at the same hotel a few weeks before Sonny arrived.

They have literally not given no CCTV. They've given no evidence. They've literally all of my dad's personal belongings, we don't know where They've cremated my dad and he's like, I need to know how my dad died. The fact that I was able to sit there and be like, That is my dad, and he literally doesn't have a breeze, he doesn't have a scratch, he doesn't have a mark to his face. How are you telling me he's fallen on 22 floors? It makes no sense.

Do you think the foreign office are doing enough to support you in getting the answers you're looking for?

[00:01:25]

Personally, I don't believe so. My dad was a UK national. He literally lived there his whole life. He was born and raised here. The fact that you have turned around and basically said to me that the UK Cambodian authority there suspect no foul play, so there's literally absolutely nothing that they can do on our behalf. It's mad. I just know that my dad wouldn't do such a thing.

A spokesperson for Cambodia's National Police has told Sky News they don't have anything to explain about Sonny's death because their officers have determined that he committed suicide. They also say if Shannon's family have any suspicions, that they can find a complaint. The foreign office say they're supporting the family and are in contact with their Cambodian counterparts. While Shannon says she'll do whatever it takes to find out what happened to her dad.. Daniel Henry, Sky News.
