I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwind your mind and spirit with tonight's sleep. Psalm but you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless. Psalm Chapter Ten, verse 14. You God, I confess that at times I don't feel your presence. Intellectually I know your promises, but there are moments when I feel distant from you, like a ship adrift in the open sea. The abyss is before me and I feel helpless without an anchor. But I know the echoes of my desperate cries always reach you, even when my heart is tossed to and fro, I know there's an anchor for my soul. I know I will not always feel your loving presence, since my mind and heart can be fickle and weak. But I pray somehow you would reach me in my despair. Find me like a shepherd to his lost sheep as the night approaches, remind me that the dawn of your love will always come. Bring me back to you. In Jesus name I believe and pray. Amen. Thank you for praying with me. I'm Bishop TD Jakes, inviting you to unwind your mind and spirit with tonight's sleep.

Hello, I'm grace for tonight's sleep, Psalm by pray. We will be meditating on Psalm ten. As you lay down, relax your shoulders, rest your arms by your side, and take a few deep breaths. Release any tension in your body. Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly. Clear your mind and focus your thoughts on God. Visualize him as a powerful and righteous king that is in complete control of every nation, every person. He sees all the pain and suffering in this world tonight. He sees you and wants to bring you hope and peace so that you may find rest in him. Breathe in and out. Surrender to God. Lift all your stress and anxiety from today to him. With your next exhale, relinquish control to the sovereign Lord. Meditate on his mercy and justice. Breathe in and out slowly. With each breath, allow your lungs to completely fill with air before exhaling. As you breathe out, release the stress and tension in your muscles. As you get ready to meditate on God's word, ask for him to speak to you tonight. Listen for his still, small voice to lead you down a safe, secure path that leads to peaceful rest.

[00:05:50]

When injustice and oppression are happening in our world, the Bible tells us we can find rest in knowing God sees every injustice and his justice will ultimately prevail. Tonight we can find hope for our future and peace in our present by focusing on God's strength and power. Psalm ten from the King James Version says, why standeth thou afar off, O Lord? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride, doth persecute the poor. Let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desires and blesseth the covetous whom the Lord abhorth. The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God. God is not in his thoughts his ways are always grievous. Thy judgments are far above out of his sight. As for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved, for I shall never be in adversity. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud. Under his tongue is mischief and vanity. He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages, in the secret places doth he murder the innocent.

[00:07:24]

His eyes are privily set against the poor. He lieth in wait secretly, as a lion in his den. He lieth in wait to catch the poor. He doth catch the poor. When he draweth him to his net. He croucheth, and humbleth himself that the poor may fall by his strong ones. He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten. He hideth his face he will never see it. Arise, O Lord. O God, lift up thine hand forget not the humble. Wherefore doth the wicked condemn God? He hath said in his heart, thou wilt not require it, thou hast seen it, for thou beholdest mischief and spite to require it. By thy hand the poor committeth himself unto thee. Thou art the helper of the fatherless. Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man. Seek out his wickedness till thou find none. The Lord is king forever and ever the heathen are perished out of his land. Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble. Thou wilt prepare their heart. Thou wilt cause thine ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed. That the man of the earth may no more oppress God's word tells us injustice will happen in our world.

[00:09:03]

While looking at the world and its brokenness can make you lose hope, looking to God can shift your perspective and transform your world. Meditating on God's word, focusing on who God is, will renew your hope and give you peace to rest throughout the night. As you lie down tonight, focus on the goodness of God. Allow his power to strike down any fears you have. Allow his strength to defend you and protect you. Feel safe in his presence. No harm can come to you as long as the Lord is with you. Breathe in and out. Close your eyes and imagine standing in the presence of the everlasting king who extinguishes your worries and doubts and fills you with hope and peace. Bask in his presence. Feel the comfort of his love. Breathe in and out. Think of a time when you doubted the goodness of God. Lift up any doubts you have now and confess he is Lord. Ask for forgiveness for not putting your trust in him. Allow tonight's psalm to remind you of his goodness and to renew your spirit. Praise God for being with you when you face troubles. Rejoice in never having to face this world alone.

[00:10:47]

Praise him for the times he has helped you and delivered you in your life. Think of someone who has doubts about God. Pray God will reveal himself to this person and pray they will find peace and rest tonight. Lay your requests before God. Cast all your cares and anxieties on him. Allow his hope and comfort to help you experience a deep, restful sleep tonight. Pray for evil to be revealed in our world and for God to intervene on the behalf of the vulnerable and the weak. Pray God will give you discernment. Pray for his wisdom to guide you and keep you on his path that leads to peaceful rest. Pray for God to help you in a specific area of your life. Tell God about your troubles and grief and express your desires to him. Ask him to intervene on your behalf. Find comfort in knowing God sees your trouble and your grief. He knows the desires of your heart and will continue to work on your behalf. Relinquish your control and he will give you rest. Breathe in and out. Relax your neck and shoulders. Release any tension in your muscles. Allow his presence to soothe you and keep you in perfect peace.

[00:12:25]

As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh your soul and help you rest through the night.
