I'm Bishop T. D. Jakes, inviting you to unwind your mind and spirit with tonight's sleep psalm. Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings. Psalm 17, verse eight. It Dear God, as I come before you tonight, I am grateful for your constant presence in my life. I find comfort in knowing that you are my shelter and refuge in times of trouble when the storms of life rage around me. I trust in your unfailing love to guide me through the darkness. Your word says you will shelter me under your wings, and I am so grateful for that promise. When I feel alone or afraid, I can turn to you for comfort and protection. I trust you entirely because you are my hiding place and strong tower. May your warm embrace always surround me as I sleep, and may I be a beacon of hope to others searching for your love and protection. Thank you for being my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. I give you all the honor, glory and praise now and forevermore. Receive these final sighs of praise as I drift into a deep sleep.

Hello. I'm grace for tonight's sleep psalm by pray. We will be meditating on Psalm 17. As you prepare for sleep, get in a comfortable position, relax your neck and shoulders, rest your arms by your side and take a few deep breaths. Release any tension in your body. Breathe in and out slowly. Close your eyes and draw near to God. Inhale and exhale slowly through your nose. With each new breath, imagine God's presence filling your room. As you breathe out, imagine God pulling you closer to Him. Surrender your anxious thoughts to God, meditate on his faithfulness knowing. He will never leave you. He will always be with you. His presence will give you rest throughout the night. Take a deep breath. Allow God's presence to soothe your soul and calm your mind and body. Clear your mind of any distractions and prepare to receive God's word. Take another deep breath and release the stress in your muscles. Control your breathing to settle your heart. As you take deeper breaths, your heart will slow down and your body will soften as your body relaxes. Ask God to speak to you through his word. Be still and quiet before Him.

[00:06:09]

Listen for his voice of truth to lead you down a safe, secure path where you will find spaces to experience deep, restful. Sleep. Tonight you can find hope in God's word. The Bible tells us those who call upon the Lord will find satisfaction in him and will rest safely in his presence. Psalm 17 from the King James Version says hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry. Give ear unto my prayer that goeth not out of feigned lips. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence. Let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Thou hast proved mine heart. Thou hast visited me in the night, thou hast tried me and shalt find nothing. I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress concerning the works of men. By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of thee destroyer, hold up my goings in thy paths that my footsteps slip not I have called upon thee, for thou wilt wilt hear me. O God, incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shrew thy marvelous lovingkindness o thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them keep me as the apple of the eye hide me under the shadow of thy wings from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies who compass me about.

[00:07:51]

They are enclosed in their own fat with their mouth they speak proudly. They have now compassed us in our steps. They have set their eyes bowing down to the earth, like as a lion that is greedy of his prey and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise, o Lord. Disappoint him, cast him down. Deliver my soul from the wicked which is thy sword from men which are thy hand, O Lord from men of the world which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure. They are full of children and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness. The psalmist reminds us there is more to this life than the things of this world. When we are focused on this world rather than God our bodies cannot find rest, our spirits cannot find peace, and our minds cannot be calmed. So tonight, let's turn our focus to God and find peaceful rest in Him. Take a deep breath. Allow your chest and lungs to fully expand.

[00:09:19]

Imagine being filled with the hope of God's truth, the hope there is more to this life, the hope of eternity. Take delight in knowing you will see God's face and your soul will be satisfied. In this satisfaction, you can find rest tonight. As you exhale, surrender your fears to the Lord. Release anything in and of this world that is keeping you from experiencing his joy. Feel the weight lifted from your shoulders, relaxing your body and calming your mind. Focus on taking deep breaths. Close your eyes and imagine God's protection spreading over you like a warm blanket, keeping you secure. Imagine resting in the shadow of his wings, keeping you safe through the night. Breathe in and out. Ask God to examine your heart and reveal any unconfessed sin in your life. Pray for his forgiveness. Ask God to help you value his ways above the world's. Breathe in his mercy and grace as you exhale. Let go of your guilt and shame. Surrender to God's love and find inner peace and rest in this sweet surrender. Rejoice in the Lord and his strength. Praise Him for his protection, for keeping you safe and secure through the night.

[00:11:01]

Praise Him for being your refuge in times of trouble. Think of someone who is facing persecution or is in an unsafe situation. Pray God will protect them and give them peaceful rest tonight. Now is the time to lay your requests before God. The Bible tells us he hears your cry when you call upon his name. So cast all your cares and anxieties on Him and find rest in knowing God will answer you. Pray for his protection as you sleep. Pray you will feel safe and secure under his wing. Pray for his strength as you fight against the temptation in this world. Pray for peaceful rest that will rejuvenate your body, keeping you healthy for life. Take a deep breath as you exhale. Release any tension and stress that is still lingering from today. Relax your neck and shoulders. Feel your body soften and your mind settle. As your body relaxes, allow God to refresh your soul and bring you peace. To help you sleep through the night.
