Economically nearly every single time, if you read a history book, is debasing and destroying the currency. Finally, someone covers it on a Fox segment.

It is not that inflation is leveling off, folks. It's that prices have never gone down. Inflation compounds. If prices go up 10% one year, 10% the next year, and 3% the next year, and never go negative in any year, those prices are compounded each year. In other words, the 3%. Oh, look, we cut it by a third. Doesn't matter. They're still up by the 10% and the 11% from the year before. Fox covered this part yesterday.

The price of Halloween candy soaring 13% from last year, but that's on top of the 14% gained the year before. That comes from data from a company called Data Assembly. So if you take a look at the most recent CPI report, they showed that annually, sugar is up six and a half percent, candy up seven and a half percent. Cakes cupcakes seeing a near 5% increase. But those packaged Halloween candies, we're talking about a 27% increase in two years time.

Now, this segment is meant to be a lighter one on Fox about Halloween candy. It applies to everything, folks. If a gallon of gas is $10 and it goes up 10%, it's $11. If it never goes down and inflation is 3% the next year, it's 3% on top of the eleven, not the ten. That's why people are hurting right now. If the guy was trying to wreck the country, he would do absolutely nothing different nothing.
