This is the Dan Levatore show with the Stuka That's podcast.

[00:01:19]

Today's episode is sponsored by DraftKings.

[00:01:23]

Stay tuned because you'll hear more about DraftKings and all it has to offer throughout the show.

[00:01:27]

Draftkings, the Crown is yours.

[00:01:30]

You guys smell that?

[00:01:48]

What's that?

[00:01:50]

That smells like opening day. It sounds like baseball is back, and we know it. You know how we know it? That song. Because we played that song.

[00:02:01]

What do you play on NBA opening day?

[00:02:03]

There's only one answer.

[00:02:04]

What's the answer, Tony?

[00:02:06]

So John Tesh. Yeah, Roundball Rock, absolutely.

[00:02:18]

But that's more a broadcast.

[00:02:20]

Basketball. Give me, give me, give me the ball and I could just dunk it.

[00:02:25]

Does every sport have a song, though? I'll give you that one for basketball because I was going to come in take that no other sport has a song like center field?

[00:02:33]

Not as many as baseball.

[00:02:34]

But that's a great one, Tony came up with. I'm not going to lie.

[00:02:37]

Hockey has the good old hockey game. What does that sound like? We don't know what that is. See, we're not talking about...

[00:02:43]

Now we're doing a different game.

[00:02:45]

It's Hockey Night Tonight.

[00:02:49]

Broadcast intro music is a different...

[00:02:52]

That's not a broadcast. That's an actual song. That's not a broadcast theme song.

[00:02:55]

It's not center field, though.

[00:02:56]

Hold on to you telling me that, Are you ready for some football?

[00:03:00]

That's a team song.

[00:03:02]

It's a Monday Night Party.

[00:03:02]

But that song was designed for the start of Monday Night Football. Centerfield is just a song written.

[00:03:08]

How about I wait all week for Sunday Night?

[00:03:12]

It's the exact same thing.

[00:03:13]

To me, this is a different conversation. I don't know.

[00:03:15]

You got so many baseball songs. You could do Centerfield. You could do Boys of Summer. Boys of Summer. You could do Story Days by Springsteen. You could do Boys of Summer. These are all white. There's a ton of options. Hold on. Yeah, of course, they're all white.

[00:03:25]

Boys of Summer wasn't about baseball. The movie was about baseball. The song wasn't.

[00:03:29]

It was relevant. It's a baseball song. Yeah, exactly. You go to a ballpark, you're going to hear the Boys of Summer.

[00:03:33]

No, in that case, if I go to a basketball game, I'm going to hear a first-person shooter. Yeah, but there's a difference in that when you hear the Boys of Summer, it might not be about it, but you think about baseball. Because of the term the Boys of Summer. Right. No, but no. What about Basketball Jones?

[00:03:50]

It's why he said the Boys of Summer.

[00:03:52]

Basketball Jones.

[00:03:53]

That's a good one.

[00:03:54]

I got a Basketball Jones.

[00:03:56]

I got a Basketball Jones, baby. That's a tough one to sing. Jones.

[00:04:03]

Look, baseball definitely has a lot of songs. Is that Barry Wright? Just like it has a lot of movies, right? But that doesn't mean it has the best. Barry Wright, you want some chicken?

[00:04:15]

You know who the best player in the NBA is? I think Steph Curry in most cases. And last night, my goodness, to see his disgust, to see how much he loved the game, bro. It really just meant so much to me, though, because I see players skipping, low management. It just seemed like they don't care. And my boy care, man. And Draymon let him down big time last night, man.

[00:04:36]

Is there a sadness with everything going on with Draymon? Does anyone else feel that? I see him like the outburst. Hold on, hold on.

[00:04:42]

Okay, go ahead. Juju grabbed the steering wheel and just said, 90-degrees turn. With that off-ramp, enough of this John Fogarty. We're going right through the median.

[00:04:52]

Yeah, I would love to sit here and talk about more baseball songs with you guys. Matter of fact, crank that back up. I love that.

[00:04:58]

We can. The 30 seconds is We can only talk about them now. For me, I wonder why baseball has this grip on popular culture outside.

[00:05:14]

Because it's not the game- It's just for songs on opening day. And they're old. I'm going to be out on baseball in a week and a half. It's just today, though, there's just something about today that I get excited every time.

[00:05:25]

It's not like there's other songs made in the 2000s or beyond. These all songs that were made in the '80s or '90s or a little bit earlier when baseball was the most prevalent thing in pop culture. So you have all these references. I think there's a Billy Joel song that just has a ton of different references to Joe Dommageo and things like that. We didn't set the like that. Well, of course, that one, but that's not what I was thinking of.

[00:05:48]

Basketball has Basketball by Curtis Blow and Basketball by Lil Bow Wow. How about that? How about that? You all want to say... Because you guys want to say, Oh, those are all broadcast songs. That's not a broadcast That's a great one.

[00:06:00]

We're playing basketball.

[00:06:03]

Of course they are. Do you see the Houston Rockets are 10 games in a row winners? They're putting so much pressure on the Warriors. That's why it's so bone-headed and selfish to Draymond to get kicked out so early, bro.

[00:06:14]

But they still won, though.

[00:06:15]

But the team needs you.

[00:06:17]

The bigger picture thing.

[00:06:19]

Steph Curry had to put on this cape, of course. But still, bro, be professional, but that was a selfish move because the team needs you right now. They're half game up out of the play-off, not the play-in. You're being sent home, bro. We need you, man. Come on with this.

[00:06:32]

It's just got to the point with him where there's something wrong up there. I feel like Draymon doesn't want to keep getting thrown out of games. He just loot. Something goes haywire up there, and he loses it. He blacks out. Next thing you know, he's ejected.

[00:06:47]

Good point. But football really doesn't have songs now that I think about it more and more.

[00:06:51]

No, there's not many references.

[00:06:53]

There is not a football song.

[00:06:55]

There are football movies, not football songs. Taylor Swift is going to end up.

[00:06:58]

Little Ditty with Jack Diane, he wanted to be a football star. Maybe we can-Yeah, okay.

[00:07:03]

I'll allow it.

[00:07:04]

Nfl Films has a whole music department.

[00:07:07]

That's not what we're talking about. It's not a broadcast song. No, but these are all songs that are composed for football broadcasts. Same thing that... That music, that one, it was composed for NFL Films. You have the Sunday Night Football.

[00:07:29]

They're all great music, but it's all... It's a great song.

[00:07:37]

The original song is a great song.

[00:07:40]

You can't hear it in the club, though. That's the thing. Have you ever heard the football theme song?

[00:07:44]

The DJ, you're not listening to the right DJ.

[00:07:47]

No. You got to remix that.

[00:07:48]

Where are they at? Where are they at? Where are they playing?

[00:07:51]

That's also a good question. I don't know where they are.

[00:07:53]

You know who was somebody was at last night? Joel Embiid was on the bench supporting his Sixers. I think Doc Rivers confirmed that he will He'll be back before the regular season is over, and that's going to put pressure on the top of Seeds, the 2, 3 Seeds, whoever has to face the Sixers with Joel Embiid. Some would say the MVP before he got hurt. That's going to be trouble.

[00:08:12]

You have Ichiro's theme by Ben You have Gibberd.

[00:08:16]

You have- You said that, you said that. You don't even know what that is.

[00:08:17]

You don't even know what that is.

[00:08:18]

You don't even know what that is. My point on it is, these are some very white song. The Ichiro song, you've never heard that before. Why I have his Death Cap for Cutty?

[00:08:26]

No, look, man, if you got to Google it, it doesn't count. Here's another one. Talking bass. Here's another one. Most popular sport in the world, soccer. How many soccer songs are there? The only one I know is that Ricky Martin one..

[00:08:39]

No, they got that one song. I believe that we will win. I believe that we will win. Oh, band songs.

[00:08:46]

That's so crazy, man.

[00:08:47]

That ain't no real song.

[00:08:48]

All right, now we got you on Sucks. Your Chance in the stadium.

[00:08:51]

No. And by the way, it sucks. Let's just say that.

[00:08:58]

Is Now we're doing stadium Anthes.

[00:09:01]

Yeah, that's the stadium Anthes. I think it's all out as a stadium.

[00:09:04]

M&m lose yourself. That's a great sports song.

[00:09:08]

Do people sing it in arenas?

[00:09:09]

No.

[00:09:10]

I'm saying the crowd will get excited if you hear the start of that song. I know what song you're talking about.

[00:09:17]

Wild Thing, a baseball song.

[00:09:18]

Speaking of Wild Thing, did you hear Greeny correct himself? Greeny apologized for his take, you all. He said he do not want to go to jail for an hour or even 30 minutes. He apologized for his take, breaking news.

[00:09:28]

But Straight up?

[00:09:30]

Is he still going to convert or no?

[00:09:31]

I think it's already done. He started that statement with, Salaam-alaikum, brother.

[00:09:39]

Salaam-alaikum.

[00:09:39]

To that point, Juju, I think we've landed on something. Instead of calling people dumb or attacking them for their takes, we just sentenced them to prison. And we're going to get... See, as soon as that came up, people got in line.

[00:09:53]

Wait a second. An hour? Hold on.

[00:09:56]

What's up?

[00:09:57]

It's like he heard an hour. He was like, Yeah, you know what?

[00:10:00]

I can backtrack on this. Russ said, I was clearly playing. If you don't think I was playing, then you're tripping..

[00:10:10]

Bean pie, my brother? By the way, I know a lot of people who are tuning in right now via Max and via YouTube are looking at me and saying, Why is he wearing a hat? The reason why is definitely because I'm not an undercover cop. You're not the only person.

[00:10:27]

You have to tell me if you are. You know that, right? Those are the rules.

[00:10:29]

I'm not an undercover cop filling in for Dan. Just relax. That Ford Taurus outside is not mine. The one with the tents? The one with the tents.

[00:10:39]

At least you ain't wearing the green one, bro. That green one, that thing be making you the Fidel Castro. Why do you all hate that green hat, man? You heard why Tony hates it.

[00:10:53]

Look, there are other revolutionaries around the world, Tony. He's not the only one.

[00:10:57]

That hat got low self-esteem?

[00:10:59]

No, it doesn't. That hat fights for freedom. That's what that hat is. Oh, no.

[00:11:05]

Hell, yeah, brother.

[00:11:06]

For Bridget Christ, the road to love was not so straightforward. Bridgie, I forbid you for marrying that spent with you, Miles car.

Ie. Don Lebatard. Punctuate this segment with what is your Strike 3 call.

[00:11:41]

Strike 1 would be, Strike. Then you stand up and you give a good point to the right. Stugatz. That's same for strike two. But strike three, you get down low, you got your hands behind the catcher. The right arm goes up into the air.

[00:11:52]

And then you finish it with the punch.

[00:11:55]

The right arm flings way up into the air. I wish I could see that.

[00:12:03]

It's terrible. The audio is great.

[00:12:06]

This is the Dan Levatard show with the Stugatz.

[00:12:15]

Kelly Ubre called every single ref a bitch last night after the game. If you guys don't know, Sixers Clippers, a game that the Clippers, by the way, tried their best to give away. They tried their best to give it away. At the end of the game, there was two players with Kelly Oubre. One where he drove to the basket. Quye Leonard had the block that led to the wedge. Shout out to the No Dunks crew. And that led to a jump ball. That was a foul because Quye Leonard was riding his hip with his offhand the whole way up, and that's how he got it.

[00:12:47]

But do you call that in that situation?

[00:12:49]

I think you do, man. I think you do, but they didn't. And got a jump ball. Guess what? Sixers won the jump ball. Kelly Ubray gets the ball, drives past James Harden, goes up. Paul George, verticality? Yes?

[00:13:04]

Maybe no? I think so. He went straight up.

[00:13:06]

He went straight up, but it was a lot of contact there. Missed the shot. Or he got blocked by Kua, who came in crazy from nowhere to block it. And after the game, Kelly Oubre goes nuts. Guys, does Kelly Oubre have a point, or is that just the heat of competition?

[00:13:24]

No, he don't have no damn point. How you can call these referees the B-word to their face? You're a B, you're a B, you're a bee. Your mama's a B.

[00:13:31]

It was like the body language. It was hilarious. Just visually, without even hearing it, just him pointing one by one. It was pretty hilarious.

[00:13:38]

He looked like Terrence Howard in that one movie.

[00:13:41]

I'll tell you what he looked like. We got the video here. Run the video, please. He looks exactly like Scarface from Half Baked when he quit the job. F U, F U, F U. You're cool. You're cool. F U, I'm out of here.

[00:13:54]

And you'll see it right here.

[00:13:57]

It's the point with the whole hand, not a With the whole hand.

[00:14:00]

The best part is finger is you, you, you. But then if you read his lips with the hand, it's your mom's, your dad's, your grandma's. It's unbelievable.

[00:14:12]

And how he checked in, he was like, Okay.

[00:14:14]

You're following me here, right?

[00:14:17]

That quitting scene from Half Baked is an all-time quitting scene.

[00:14:20]

Scarface, man. Who's coming with me, man?

[00:14:23]

Whose reactions to the ref was crazier, though? Is it Draymon or is it Kelly Ubre? Because that one was just seemingly justified. Draymon lost it in the first, what, four minutes of the game?

[00:14:35]

On a foul that wasn't even his.

[00:14:36]

Well, and the part that's crazy is if you look back at the heat game the night before, Draymon in the first couple of minutes of that game didn't get called for a flagrant, and probably shouldn't have, but his hand was around Patty Mills's neck at one point. Then if you saw it, I think in the third quarter, he was going after the refs after not getting a foul call on a layup, going after them all the way down the court, then going after them continuously as the heat shot a free throw, and Steve Kerr ended up taking him out of the game to save him from himself. And the next night, he gets ejected in the first few minutes.

[00:15:08]

Here's the deal. Everything he did in the heat game, understandable. I'm the one who got fouled and nobody called it. This has been happening all night. It's the third quarter. We've got a lot of pressure. We know this game has been close. It doesn't need to be close. It shouldn't be close. And so the competitive juice has come flowing out. No, did he? Last night, four minutes in, four minutes in, I wish there was something in my life that could get me that angry in four minutes. I could feel that passionate about in four minutes. And everyone else is looking at him, and I'm not talking about the Orlando Magic. I'm talking about the Golden State Warriors. They're looking at him like, Bro, what's wrong with you, man? After the game, do you hear everybody talk? Steve Kerr was like, Yeah, he totally deserves to get ejected. Yo, you know how bad it is for your head coach to be like, Absolutely get his ass up out of here. It's insane. My thing is this. It's like, What did he think was the end game here?

[00:16:08]

Second night of back to back. They changed their mind. You know what? He was right.

[00:16:11]

And he put his hand on the ref. The ref was trying to be He's just been leaning in, bro. He just keep chasing them down. He doesn't care.

[00:16:18]

The ref walked away. He teed him up, and then he walked away. He's like, Okay, we're done here, right? I'm going over here. And Dräger was like, Wait, hold on. Where do you think you're going? I'm not done with you. What are you doing? What are What are you doing? And everyone around you is like, Bro, chill out. And this is the sub while like, look, I don't know if you guys know this, right? He is the first player to get ejected twice in the first quarter of a season in the last 20 years, according to ESPN stats and info. He has 19 career rejections. He trails only Rasheed Wallace.

[00:16:51]

He's going to catch him.

[00:16:52]

He's going to blow past them at this rate. The only thing that will stop Draymond Green from beating that record is retirement. That's the only thing.

[00:17:01]

Since you put it that way, I think Drap King is looking to Drapen on his under's last night. What the hell was that?

[00:17:07]

I just said the same thing in a means ear. I wanted to go there. It's really unbelievable. It just seems like maybe he didn't want to play on the second night of back to backs.

[00:17:14]

I Can't you just say, Coach, I don't have it today.Tammy Hertz.Yeah. Tendinitis, whatever. Or at least, you know what? Maybe do it in the second quarter. Four minutes in is like, You know what, man? Hold on, let me put this on.

[00:17:31]

Time to throw away all journalistic credibility and get reckless. Here is something we like to call reckless speculation. You're good.

[00:17:42]

That man might need to be Jontay Porter.

[00:17:46]

Wow.

[00:17:48]

I'm not saying I'm not accusing. I'm just saying, just like we're not accusing Jontay Porter, we're investigating, right? You can't get ejected four minutes into a game. You can't They had a objective four minutes into a game twice?

[00:18:02]

Especially with your track record, bro. And the blatant disrespect you were showing the referee. It's like, brother, these are men. These are grown men. They have kids, wives at home. Why is you letting this game that you play cause you to disrespect these men. That's just uncalful. Even Kelly Ubre, bro. Salute to those reps for keeping their composure because I know that's wild to have to deal with, man. No.

[00:18:23]

To me, I think Ubre, again, that's a really emotional peak of the night. The last couple of plays have involved him. And remember, the Sixers, just like the Warriors, are involved in a very heated standings race. This matters incredibly. Did you say heat?

[00:18:43]

Because it impacted them.

[00:18:47]

Penalty box.

[00:18:48]

Oh, really? Oh, man.

[00:18:50]

Can you do that, Step Dan? I'm not Step Dan today, and I'm not a cop. I'm definitely not sentencing him to any incarceration, at least temporary detainment.

[00:19:04]

Can a Step Dan send somebody to his room?

[00:19:07]

I don't know. You'd have to ask a Step Dan, but today I'm not Step Dan. These games matter. I want to recognize the passion. Sometimes the passion overflows, and sometimes you say some shit that you know later on, and I'm like, I probably should have said that.

[00:19:23]

But we'll give you a bunch of these. Kelly Ubre hasn't done this a bunch, so I'm just going to chalk it up. Draymon does this once a week. There's a huge difference.

[00:19:32]

And like Juju said earlier, they needed him. I get it, they won the game. But I'm going to tell you this.

[00:19:41]

He cost them the game.

[00:19:42]

There you go. There you go. Shout out to Stugatz. He cost them the game. They won, but he also cost them the game. Steph Curry is one of the most composed, cool, collected dudes, doesn't get rattled, doesn't show a whole lot emotion. Usually, when he shows emotion, it's joy. And I'm going to tell you, first of all, did he cry or is that sweat? During the ejection, when he's wiping-It's got to be sweat.I thought it was sweat. It's got to be sweat. A lot of people are saying-The internet's like, He's crying. He's crying. Was he crying?

[00:20:16]

He's frustrated, dude.

[00:20:17]

We have video of him showing passion, man. Of course, he shared a tear for this, man. He cared this much, man. Come on, brother. We just put you through anger, man. We just lost you for how many games? What was it? Indefinitely? Come on, man. I think he's more so disappointed in his friend more than his teammate.

[00:20:33]

Absolutely. Here's the video we have it right here of Steph Curry. This is like during it going on. He's rocking back and forth. He's looking down. Hands on his knees. He's clapping now. He's shaking his head. Covering face. Covering face with a wipe.

[00:20:47]

A lot of blinks. A lot of blinks.

[00:20:49]

A lot of blinks, man. There's a lot of blinks.

[00:20:52]

Because his teammates was patting him on the back, too. That's the tale.

[00:20:54]

Coach Kerr, too. Coach Kerr came up to him and said, It's going to be okay. And it's like, For Steph Curry? No, man, I've never seen them like that.

[00:21:02]

Is it a bigger issue than just this one? Is this a microcosm?

[00:21:06]

That feels more than this game.

[00:21:08]

It's a microcosm of the dynasty. Clay's on the bench. I even know Clay's playing great off the bench. I will say that. But Clay's off the bench. He's not in the starting rotation anymore. Draymond's not the guy. He used to be defensively still good, but he's obviously lost the plot a little bit as a competitor in the NBA. This feels like Steph Curry is looking around saying, damn, We had a dynasty for 10, 12 years, and now we're fighting to stay in the playoffs, one. And two, Drayman is going to keep doing this. Clay's on the bench.

[00:21:39]

Again, even though he's playing well- He started the last two games. He started last night, he started in my end.

[00:21:43]

But I agree with Tony.

[00:21:44]

Off the bench, he's been playing really well.

[00:21:45]

There is an overall feeling of just Steph Curry just being like, This isn't what it once was.

[00:21:49]

I'm going to tell you, I don't think it's that. I don't think it's that. I think it's, We need every one of these games, and this MF are still doing this stuff. Right now, it is go time. There's zero margin for error. Rockets are on their ass, and they can't afford to drop any of these, and we're still dealing with this. That's what I think that frustration is, and I'm going to tell you why. Because that wasn't the only emotional moment of the night. At the end of the night, he hits a huge dagger three over Jalen Sugs. He does his customary night-night celebration. But I'm going to tell you all this, it looked unhinged. He looked like a I'm like, Yo, dog, are you all right?

[00:22:33]

Everybody at courtside.

[00:22:34]

And then he kicked the chair.

[00:22:35]

And then he kicked the shit out of that chair. And I've never seen him angry like that.

[00:22:41]

After a great play.

[00:22:43]

After a great play, angry like that, period. But after a great play, after a huge win sealed with that, he kicked the shit out of that. I didn't even know he could kick like that. I'll be honest. I thought the chair would hit him back normally, but it didn't. That chair collapsed, man. That chair got its ass kicked.

[00:23:03]

And then Draymond tweet after the game, Good win, boys. It's like, read the room, brother.

[00:23:07]

When he came back to the locker room, the staff and everybody waiting to greet the team, and Draymond, they're doing this with the night-night. Dog, Hey, man. Maybe a little demure. Maybe like, Hey, man, my bad. Just say, My bad, or whatever. A hug them. Hey, man, my bad.

[00:23:23]

The hand up like, Hey, that was me.

[00:23:24]

I need to be better in those moments. You know what I'm doing?

[00:23:28]

If I'm Draymon, right when I get in the locker room when I'm thrown out, I'm like, immediate regret. I'm like, How do I make it up to my teammates? I'm doing something. So all my teammates' lockers are filled with-Edible arrangements.I'm spending like a thousand bucks a teammate.A good meal.So edible. I want them to come in after the game. They all have new jackets that I just had someone to run out and get. There's like, fresh kicks, good meal that he paid for. I just like the idea of him trying to like, Hey, guys, my bad. Here's a bunch of money for you guys.

[00:23:55]

He commenteers the sound system and he plays Ruben Studdard, I'm Sorry, 2004. Everyone's like, Oh, and it was a rose. He had the rose. Every single person coming to the locker room, My bad, man. I should have put my teammates first. Basketball song. Was that Tank or who was that?

[00:24:13]

I'll put your woman first. I think it was Jahim.

[00:24:15]

Jahim. And that is a basketball song because he's like, If it wasn't for a Sunday All-Star Weekend, I would remember. Ja'him. I feel like this is a Two Americas.

[00:24:26]

Speaking of Two Americas, baseball is Welcome back, baseball.

[00:24:32]

You guys want to break down the John Birdy trade?

[00:24:34]

Absolutely. Why not?

[00:24:35]

He got traded to the New York Yankees. The most important piece of that is that he'll have to shave his beard.Oh, yeah, that's right. That's just devastating.

[00:24:42]

You know what's funny? The fact that the little Steinbrenner is still hanging on to that because my daddy didn't like it. Man, your daddy was crazy. We don't watch Seinfeld.

[00:24:51]

I wanted to make it my own. I'd be like, You know what? Everyone has to have a beard.

[00:24:56]

Has to have a beard. It's a new day here. It's a new day here.

[00:24:58]

And beers only.

[00:24:59]

Red Sox You should do that just to stoke the rivalry.

[00:25:02]

Every time I think of the Yankees stupid ass no beard policy, I think of the Simpsons episode where Burns-Matingly. Yeah, Matingly, get rid of those sideburns. And he's like, What sideburns? And at the end of the show, his whole From here all the way to the top of his head, he just shaved off. And Mr. Burns is like, That's it. You're off the team.

[00:25:21]

Are there any NBA policies like that?

[00:25:24]

Jerry Sloan used to have a no headband policy, but God rest his soul, he's not with us no more. So now we can wear headbands. It's dumb, man. It's just let them... Unless they...

[00:25:32]

Darren Williams needed it.

[00:25:34]

He needed the headband. The hairline was strong. The hairline was strong back then.

[00:25:40]

There was a point where I was like, All right, we need to see what's up here.

[00:25:43]

That's one of the biggest fallen soldiers in the history of basketball. It really was. Of hairlines. It really was. Not basketball. Because Darren Williams used to have the hair like everyone's like, Man, I wish I had Darren Williams hair. And then it started going lighter and lighter.

[00:25:57]

It went with his skill.

[00:25:58]

At the end?

[00:26:00]

I'm crazy.

[00:26:01]

I'm crazy because at the end of his career was bad.

[00:26:05]

I'm crazy. Kick a man while he's down.Don.

[00:26:09]

Levatard.sport.stugats.mort.

[00:26:11]

Sports. This is the Don Levatard show with the Stugats.

[00:26:17]

In the break, we were talking about NFL stuff, and you guys said, Hey, have you seen Jalen Daniels' elbow? And I said, I don't know what possibly could have happened with his elbow. Then Louis flashed for me on the screen a picture of the elbow, and here it is.

[00:26:42]

Holy damn.

[00:26:43]

That's not-It's a fine for a break, but Jaden Daniels is his name. Jaden?

[00:26:47]

Well-that's my bad. I said Jaden, I think, in the break.

[00:26:49]

Well, you pay up, too.

[00:26:50]

There you go. Jaden is his name. That's a massive-I'm not liquid right now.

[00:26:55]

But that... Venmo works. That just has to be a weird photo, right?

[00:26:59]

It's got to be Photoshop.

[00:27:00]

Not Photoshop. It's not Photoshop. His skin may be moving at the... This is-Dislocated. Let's try to describe it. Paint a picture for the people not watching.

[00:27:08]

I'll paint the picture for you. His elbow bone that usually sits into your forearm and your bicep and your tricep is 2 inches extended out from his arm.

[00:27:17]

Not only that, but the bicep is also leaving the arm as well. It's headed towards the inside.

[00:27:21]

The thing is, it's tough because that's an action shot. And when you're turning and really unloading and having a strong throw, your arm is going to look deformed because That's the way you're throwing.

[00:27:30]

It almost looks like an AI picture.

[00:27:32]

You know what it looks like? It looks like a Lego man or perhaps someone wearing a suit of armor. And so there's one plate right there and there's one plate over here, and then my arm is sticking out over here.

[00:27:44]

It's like I am Groot.

[00:27:45]

Yeah, that too.

[00:27:47]

It looks like a tree. He looks like a tree.

[00:27:48]

He looks like a tree. You think there's a shot that maybe he just banged his funny bone real hard, and so it was a little swollen here.

[00:27:55]

His forearm looks like-And he's just really skinny. His forearm looks like it's sliding back down towards his shoulder, even though his elbow is like, No, we're staying right here. That is insane. Where was this taken?

[00:28:08]

At LSU last week. Pro Day?

[00:28:11]

Oh, yeah, I thought it was his Pro Day, but no. It looks like a Pro Day. That's in That's a game?

[00:28:16]

It is a game or at least pre-game photo because he has his LSU helmet and jersey on in the in the original, and this is the cropped image. Okay.

[00:28:24]

Which brings us to an important topic. I've heard rumors that Jaden Daniels may go first instead of Caleb Williams. Do you think that's possible?

[00:28:33]

Have you heard that?

[00:28:34]

Where are the rumors?

[00:28:35]

I heard it from... Excuse me.

[00:28:38]

Getting emotional about it? Oh, wow.

[00:28:42]

Help me.

[00:28:44]

It didn't mean that. It didn't I heard Louis Riddick say this. You feel me? He was adamant about it, too. So I always trust Sweet Lou.

[00:28:52]

Now, when he said it, did he have his shirt open with a little chain showing or was he suited and booted?

[00:28:57]

He had it on the tie.

[00:28:59]

Two different Louis Riddicks, by the way.

[00:29:01]

Sweet Lou's got the chain.

[00:29:02]

Got the chain and the unbutton right here.

[00:29:04]

I feel like Chris Sims has this path, though. These NFL analysts, they got to get out there. If you think that it's going to go the order everyone else, you got to get out there be bold with a take. You can't just... Tannenbaum a few years ago was a big Herbert guy over... Who was it? Was it Tua? Tua? Yeah, he was Herbert. Everyone else was like... Tua or you, by the way. It was Tua or someone, and he was Herbert. It was between Tua and. Yeah, and that's what... But That's what I mean. Then everyone was praising him. I feel like this could be Lewis Riddick just being like, I got to get out here with a take. I can't just agree with everyone else.

[00:29:39]

Drake may go first.

[00:29:43]

Get him out of here.

[00:29:44]

See you.

[00:29:45]

I mean, you just got back.

[00:29:46]

I would have just said, Drake may go first.

[00:29:48]

You know what this is? This is Drain Mongrain right here. Like four minutes into the segment.

[00:29:53]

You're Steph Curry now. You're getting kicked.

[00:29:54]

Put us in a hit lock with a joke.

[00:29:57]

Just go.

[00:29:58]

I just saw, I googled The elbow, to see if there's another action shot or another angle of the elbow. I just showed Juju. I just sent it to Louis to see if he could put it up. The elbow from the angle of his profile doesn't look as bad.

[00:30:11]

That still looks bad.

[00:30:12]

It still looks bad, but it's not as bad as the other one. The other one looked like it was sticking out like an inch and a half, two inches.

[00:30:19]

Sometimes that's all you need.

[00:30:23]

I was thinking about our conversation. See, that's not as bad, right? That's bad, man. It's definitely patrooting.

[00:30:29]

It's exactly what I said. It's like his forearm is deciding, I'm going back to the shoulder. The elbow is saying, I'm staying here. And the bicep is like, Let me see what that left side is talking about because I'm trying to be on that side. It's something like that. I feel like you can't throw like that repeatedly. It's going to end up with an elbow injury. It has to. The human body is not meant to do that.

[00:30:53]

Like throwing a curveball.

[00:30:55]

Yes, like throwing a curveball. But Juju, going back to what you What are you saying about Caleb Williams versus Jaden? Jaden Daniels. I was going to say Jalen again. Thanks a lot, Chris.

[00:31:08]

A lot of Jalins in the world right now.

[00:31:09]

Too many Jalins.

[00:31:10]

The first Jalen was Jalen Rose. Fun fact.

[00:31:12]

But now, are we making too many Jelen?

[00:31:14]

Do you know why his name is Jalen? Why was that? It's a combination of two different family members' names.

[00:31:20]

But Jalen Rose was ahead of his time because when we had him, there weren't a ton of Jalen. Now, there's a Jalen everywhere.

[00:31:26]

He was the original Jalen.

[00:31:27]

He was not ahead of his time. He was the original. It's like saying the Ford Model T was ahead of his time. Yes, it was the first car.

[00:31:32]

Was he actually the first? I'm going to look that up.

[00:31:34]

He's the first Jalen. His mom created the name out of...

[00:31:38]

My mom said she created Christopher. I wouldn't believe her.

[00:31:42]

He found one person around that time that had Jalen, too. It was a white guy. Really? Hell, yeah.

[00:31:47]

A white Jalen. Salute to him. That's like a white rhino.

[00:31:51]

Like white Dante.

[00:31:53]

Like white Dante, yeah.

[00:31:54]

We were talking about kick-offs yesterday, and I just really started to digest. These rules are changing. Now, you go out to the 40-yard line. They're basically legislating. They don't want... The kickers now have to try to kick it perfectly to the five-yard line. Which I like. Dude, are we going to be seeing tipped toe? Because if you But if you catch the ball in the end zone, you're at the 40, correct? Yes. If the ball is close, let's say it's about to land at the two-yard line, are we going to see guys calling a fair catch and doing a tipped toe, falling forward catch? I'm just saying we're opening- Or just letting it go. Can they let it go?

[00:32:30]

I don't know. Can they let it go?

[00:32:31]

Can they catch it at the two? Because sometimes the ball could bounce in a weird way that it doesn't go into the end zone. I don't know. I just want chaos with all this. I want there to be so many kickoff returns for touch downs. I know they tested this in the XFL, but it would just be funny after week two, there's 38 kickoff returns for touch downs, and there's a press conference, and Roger Goodell is like, All right, we screwed this up.

[00:32:51]

What happened to the game?

[00:32:52]

We're going back to the old way because there's been 42 kickoff returns in three weeks.

[00:32:57]

We're going to the other XFL kickoff. Again, The Scrum. I'm still here for it. Put it in the middle. If you don't want concussions, have them do it without helmets or pads on.

[00:33:06]

This is a drastic rule change. When I first read the story, I didn't digest how… This is different in a lot of ways.

[00:33:13]

No head start on this.

[00:33:15]

Let me ask you guys a question. Has there been a lot of people crying about kickoffs? Saying like, Man, we need to change. It's dangerous. It's too bad.

[00:33:25]

We can't do it. I just think it became such a pointless thing where it was just all like, they kick it out of the end zone. It's a touchback. So they're like, either we're going to eliminate this or change it because they want kickoff space.

[00:33:36]

But no, it's the blocking.

[00:33:37]

That's not why. It's because they're saying that you get a crazy amount of collisions because people are running full speed across the entirety of the field.

[00:33:48]

It's the blocking. It's from the head start from everybody running up on the kickoff and climbing.

[00:33:52]

But it's also a fun play. They're like, How do we get this fun play back without hurting our players? So they found a happy medium. Now, we can have kickoff returns without crazy collisions, even though I still think there's going to be collisions on these plays.

[00:34:05]

I'm going to be honest. I love the idea of the most violent team sport in the world saying, We need to make it a little less violent. You all know why I'm here? You know why all these people are here? They're not here. It's like, imagine watching boxing and they're like, Okay, no more head shots, though.

[00:34:21]

Only six punches per round. Body shots only.

[00:34:24]

If you guys, kids, wanted to play football, would you allow them with the studies and the- Absolutely not. You know what I mean?

[00:34:30]

No. What's going on? Play baseball.

[00:34:32]

I probably still would.

[00:34:33]

Left-handed reliever, please.

[00:34:35]

I'll be honest, probably not because I'm like, Why? Just play basketball and then nobody hits you.

[00:34:42]

Man, no, you get fouled.

[00:34:44]

You don't get fouled like that? Man, you saw what happened to Jeremy yesterday? Oh, you weren't here.

[00:34:49]

No, I was not.

[00:34:50]

Roy, I'm in pain.

[00:34:51]

Jeremy got... Excuse me.

[00:34:55]

Mark that.

[00:34:56]

He's right, though. My bad.

[00:35:00]

He got effing speared yesterday.

[00:35:02]

Speared? Goldberg style.

[00:35:03]

It was slow, too.

[00:35:05]

It wasn't like a-Wait, now, Roy doesn't know. Don't give it away. Roy, if you had to guess who did it to Jeremy, who would it be? Pick them up and ran him to the ground.

[00:35:15]

Judging by where he sits right now, probably Tony.

[00:35:19]

That's a good guess.

[00:35:19]

One would think, but not Tony.

[00:35:21]

I probably should have, too.

[00:35:23]

Who else? Guess again.

[00:35:24]

Emotionally, he's wanted to.

[00:35:25]

I mean, who else sits back there other than Mike and Bill?

[00:35:27]

It doesn't necessarily have to be someone who sits back there.

[00:35:29]

Someone could have gotten us.

[00:35:31]

Someone walked over and said, I'm going to demonstrate-We were discussing the tackling changes, and we were trying to do a breakdown.

[00:35:36]

This person said, You know what? I can do it. It was Jessica.

[00:35:39]

No, not Jessica.

[00:35:40]

She's been out all week. Lucy?

[00:35:42]

Not Lucy.

[00:35:43]

It was Billy. Billy. What? Yeah.

[00:35:47]

Billy tackled me yesterday, and I'm going to be honest, my tailbone does hurt.

[00:35:51]

The tailbone injury is up there. It's not a good one. It's not a good one. It's the least comfortable.

[00:35:54]

I'm moving this weekend.

[00:35:55]

He can lift 180 pounds like that?

[00:35:58]

Wow.

[00:35:58]

I 180 pounds.

[00:36:00]

You got it right.

[00:36:01]

I'm not doing great these days.

[00:36:03]

Who should be more offended? I'm 195 right now. Jeremy or Billy?

[00:36:07]

You thought 180 is a lot?

[00:36:09]

I mean, I'm not very tall.

[00:36:10]

I was thinking when you said 180, I'm like, Man, you're light over there.

[00:36:12]

I have no muscle. Crystal pick you up right now. I'm only 5'9.

[00:36:15]

I was complimenting you.

[00:36:18]

Billy should be the one who's offended, right? Because you're basically insinuating that he couldn't lift 180 pounds.

[00:36:23]

He picked up 180 pounds dead weight.

[00:36:25]

No, he did it with a precision decision that would indicate an ease that this ain't his first time, and it hasn't been a long time since he's done it before.

[00:36:36]

I really could not believe that he just straight up picked me up off the ground. We were just doing a tackling demonstration, and I'm sitting there jogging, and he's like, This is going to go fine. And I said, Is it going to go fine? And he literally was like, No, just lift your arms. And then he picked me up off the ground and dropped me onto carpet that is clearly right on top of tile. It was not a good move.

[00:37:00]

We have the video over right now.

[00:37:01]

Yeah. By the way, I wonder if this is what God bless football is like. I've never watched it. I've listened to it.

[00:37:08]

You can see the panic as I grabbed Billy.

[00:37:12]

He was doubting that there was a lift there. Watch it again. No, watch it again.

[00:37:17]

My feet are off the ground.

[00:37:19]

You could see Jeremy grab on Billy's back like, Oh, no.

[00:37:23]

He was letting out some frustration, man. Then Marci had to turn to me, whipping his ass.

[00:37:28]

He came here for One segment and tackled me to the ground. By the way, Tony was supposed to be the one that he did it to. And Tony goes, Hey, Jeremy, why don't you get it here?

[00:37:37]

See, here's the thing about Billy, guys, and for people that don't know this, Billy is so reckless when it comes to things in the office. He'll kick a ball into a light. He'll hit a golf ball with a golf club and drill a cabinet. He doesn't care about what happens here. And again, it's me. He's not going to do this to me. I'm like, You know what, Jeremy, you're good for this.

[00:37:59]

Look at the on Jeremy's face. That moment where he realizes... Because there's this moment right there where he's like, Ha, ha, ha, ha, Billy's going to try and tackle me.Right there.Oh, shit.

[00:38:10]

I am up off the ground trying to grab Billy to support myself.

[00:38:15]

That's bracing for a fall right there, that face. I'm holding his back with one arm.

[00:38:19]

You tried to help me.

[00:38:21]

Yeah.

[00:38:22]

Like I did to Wayne Newton.

[00:38:23]

God, what a nightmare.

[00:38:24]

That would have been epic. That's an untold story that Wayne Newton almost fell on our stage. Tony saved We could talk about it next second. I put a car out there. We'll talk about it next.

[00:38:33]

For Bridget Christ, the road to love was not so straightforward. Bridget, I forbid you for marrying that spendthrift-yield Miles car.

[00:38:41]

What the devil is that?

[00:38:43]

I'm setting up an M50 video account on my mobile cellular telephone, thus procuring a discount on the M50 highway tow path.
