Now is a good time to remember where the story of tequila started. In 1795, the first tequila distillery was opened by the Cuervo family. And 229 years later, Cuervo is still going strong. Family-owned from the start, same family, same land. Now is a good time to enjoy Cuervo, the tequila that invented tequila. Go to cuervo. Com to shop tequila or visit a store near you. Cuervo, now's a good time. Trademark's owned by Beckle, SAB, The CV. Copyright 2024, próximo. Jersey City, New Jersey, please drink responsibly.

Jeremy. They're making a sequel to the Joker that had... What was it?Walking Phoenix.Walking Phoenix in it. A movie that I thought was okay. But again, every DC movie that comes out, whenever it's not terrible, everyone loses their mind. Kind of like the Batman, the one with the twilight Kid.

[00:01:03]

I like that one. It was all right.

[00:01:04]

It was all right. It wasn't a bad movie, but it's like because DC has such a bad track record, everyone's like, Oh, my God. It's the greatest. I'm like, Just relax. The only DC movie that's come out in the last... There's only two of them that have come out since the Dark Knight. I was like, Okay, this is legitimately good. One is Teen Titans: Go, the movie. I know a lot of you guys don't watch that, but it was really funny. Then the other one was the Suicide Squad James Gunn did with John cena in it.

[00:01:33]

Yeah, I ended up not seeing that one because I hated the first one.

[00:01:37]

He didn't see it? All right, I'll go. All right, come on.

[00:01:40]

You can't see me?

[00:01:41]

Thank you.

[00:01:43]

That one is excellent. It's excellent. If you watch the TV series Peacemaker on Max, I guess now it's Max, it's excellent. You need to watch it because it's James Gunn. Imagine if heyday Marvel had DC content.

[00:01:59]

Into it. It's not good. I will watch it.

[00:02:00]

And they curse. It's all right.

[00:02:02]

They pretty much treated it like deadpool, right? Yes. They didn't break the fourth wall on that.

[00:02:07]

No, but-I mean, are you a boys guy?

[00:02:09]

I am the boys.

[00:02:10]

I'm watching again because I had watched it in the pandemic, and I fell off, but I'm rewatching season 2 to the end right now.

[00:02:18]

Did you watch the spin-off series? I have not. About the university? No. You have to watch it because it's totally going to tie in. Okay. Excellent. But Joker 2 is coming out. Yes, it is. And it's a musical.

[00:02:33]

I was born for this moment. Yeah, because The Dark Knight is still one of my favorite movies ever. I had a Joker poster on the wall of my room as a teenager.

[00:02:44]

You have a lot You had a lot of posters. I did. Because I had a whole poster wall. In Mr. Crate, he talked about other posters that he had on his wall. I don't know if I ever had a poster on my wall.

[00:02:53]

Jeremy's walls look like the walls of the street.

[00:02:55]

I had a poster. No, that's accurate. I had a poster.

[00:02:57]

What poster, buddy?

[00:02:59]

Jessica Simpson, Dukes of Hazzard. Nice.

[00:03:02]

Welcome back, Chris. Thank you. I mostly had Bruce Springsteen, the Joker.

[00:03:07]

Bruce Springsteen, the boss.

[00:03:08]

Yeah, the boss.

[00:03:09]

You're like 12 years old.

[00:03:11]

Dude, Springsteen is my guy. That was my first concert with Springsteen.

[00:03:13]

Were you seven years old? I was six. Toe tapping the Bruce? Yeah, I was six.

[00:03:16]

I went to the Rising Tour. It was great. I loved it. A white sports journalist did that. I mean, come on. I fit in with everybody.

[00:03:28]

So Jeremy's Well, these walls were just pictures of white guys.

[00:03:31]

Yeah, pretty much. Or face-painted. I had the Joker poster on-Face-painted? Yeah, the Joker.

[00:03:36]

Not that face-painted.

[00:03:38]

No, no, no. Very different. But yeah, so I didn't really like the first Joker. I thought that Some of the themes were heavy-handed. I didn't really like this Joker movie. I loved Keith Ledger as the Joker, but this first Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix, I thought- Where he was good.

[00:03:54]

Where he was walking up the stairs in the preview or down the stairs?

[00:03:57]

Yeah, his performance was good, but the movie was bad. Then it came out that Lady Gaga was going to be in the sequel. Everyone was like, What's that about? Then the report came out that it was going to be a musical. How about this? A jukebox musical with that? What is a jukebox musical? This is what I'm excited about. A jukebox musical means that it's taking songs that you already know, not original songs.

[00:04:23]

Like Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical?

[00:04:24]

Similar to Rock of Ages. Moulin Rouge is a jukebox musical, which I actually just saw when I was on my honeymoon in London. We saw Moulin Rouge, and it was spectacular.

[00:04:34]

Is this one of those things where they...

[00:04:36]

You can play White Guys as well.

[00:04:40]

Yeah, you can play anything. Yeah, go for it. Oh, White Woman. Yeah.

[00:04:44]

White Woman.

[00:04:48]

Yeah, I love that.

[00:04:51]

Is this one of those ones where they do a whole scene where there's a song, and then they all go about as if they didn't just sing? Yeah, that's exactly right. I hate that in musical terms. All right, I'm out. Okay. Sing it for five minutes, and then we're back, and no one talks about how to just sing.

[00:05:04]

That's why this is going to be so ridiculous.

[00:05:06]

This is how it goes. This is why it's going to be so ridiculous. This is why it's going to be so ridiculous. It's so ridiculous. But how ridiculous?

[00:05:16]

Well, I mean, look, you guys just don't like musicals in general because every musical does that. Confirmed. Right. But that's why this is so funny because the Joker, the first one, really brought in an audience because it was sympathetic to the whole... Mental health. No, not mental health. Incell community and them were flying with violence. That's the people who loved the Joker. To do a 180 and turn it into a jukebox musical with Lady Gaga. Are you guys ready? Hold on.

[00:05:49]

Let me ask you a question. When you say jukebox musical, it's songs that we already know. Does this mean it's going to be like glee where they're singing?

[00:05:55]

Yes, exactly like that. I hate it.

[00:05:58]

I love it. I hate it when people sing It's why I was born for this moment.

[00:06:01]

Are you ready for a moment where you're going to have like, Waukeen Phoenix as the Joker singing creep by Radiohead, Mashed up with Lady Gaga singing like, Fix You by Coldplay?

[00:06:12]

Oh, I thought you were going to say Mashed up by Lady Gaga singing creep by TLC.

[00:06:15]

Jeremy is more excited about this than David was about A-Rod not getting the.

[00:06:20]

No, this is literally content that's made specifically for me. You've got the Joker, you've got a jukebox musical. This is everything I've ever wanted. It's so glee-coated. I I love it. No.

[00:06:31]

This is everything I do and want. Right.

[00:06:33]

This is the opposite of what I want. I can tell you, the audience of this show, they're going to hate it, which is why I love it.

[00:06:38]

The director was like, All right, the movie, mixed reviews. Some people liked it, some people didn't. You know what we're going to do? We're going to do a complete 180. Yeah. We're going to get a totally different audience. We're going to get people doing whatever.

[00:06:49]

Why not? I will say from a money-making standpoint, you got your audience with the first one who's going to want to see the sequel to it, and now you're recruiting a completely different audience to see it now. So it might do really well at the box office.

[00:07:00]

Is it Todd Phillips again?

[00:07:01]

I believe it is.

[00:07:02]

Okay. I'll give it a chance because it's Todd Phillips. He's a funny guy.

[00:07:06]

You let me know.

[00:07:06]

When it comes out on max.

[00:07:08]

If you let me know, you'll be like, No, not for you.

[00:07:12]

We'll watch it when it comes out on max.

[00:07:14]

All right. You're not joking. You're not joking. You're not joking. That.
