But also, I'd always want a Brandon Cooke's on my team. I'd always want somebody who stretches the field like that. Jerry Jones has been trying to get that for a while. In fact, been trying to get it for a while, at least in part, because he wasn't going to keep Amari Cooper and C. D. Lamb together because C. D. Lamb was obviously going to be the number one receiver. So you need a compliment to that. And Pollard is better than.

We bought into the concept of you guys having this college football show. Next thing was, how do we make it bigger? We punched it up after talking to several firms, and we put together something. The team, I, with all the feedback and analytics that our consulting department had, and we put together something that I'm super excited about. I'm so happy that you're here for it because I know there's been a lot of debate and discourse about footgirls, but you guys know how much I value you guys' individual talents and your knowledge of college football is second to none. I just think that we need to have some branding so we can get people to search out college, football, girls, all that stuff and have a huge, huge show for you guys going forward. I know, you're right around my head. Okay, let's start with what happened last weekend, I guess. You were at the big game. I was. The medium game. Well, the medium house.

I thought it was really great. It was an awesome game. Maybe one of the best games we went to this year outside, I think Red River was also a little bit better. The big house is just a big stadium.

Call me crazy. When I was there, it didn't feel as big as other places. Lsu felt so much bigger to me. Even Tennessee College... Oh, well, Kyle Field is like... Crazy. Kyle Field is where I go in my nightmares. But yeah, did it feel big to you?

No. I've actually been to a Michigan game before, but I went to a Penn State game this year as well, and it's similar seating capacities, but not quite as big as Michigan. Where Penn State is so tall that it's over top you and it feels so much louder and so much bigger, where Michigan is just like a big ass bowl.

Yeah, like a wooden salad bowl, which just doesn't pack the same punch.

As a hater, I'm here for the slander. But it was a great game. It did live up to the hype, I think, right? It came down to the final drive in the game was the make or break moment for Ohio State. Could Ryan Day finally beat Michigan? The answer is still no, even though they could have. It wasn't like they were outplayed. It felt like they were outcoached, honestly.

No, Kyle McCord is weird, but you have to know what to do in those situations when you have a quarterback who is not the most accurate, who's not most trustworthy. This is a game where you came in and this is a beatable Michigan team. They struggled against Maryland last week. They're without their head coach. This is a winnable game for a team as talented as Ohio State. Look, if I'm in charge, I throw the ball to Marvin Harrison Jr. Every single time. I don't think about anything else, ever. Ever. It's just Ryan Day has proven to you time and time again that he's just better James Franklin. James Franklin with more talent.

No, having been to two now in the past two seasons when I was doing college football stuff, people care more about that than anything else. It is so absurd and the fact that Ryan Day is what, two and-Three and all. -three and all. No, in big games and like that and.

Playoff games. Well, he has seven losses only in his coaching career, and they are all two teams that Ohio State expects to win some against Georgia, Michigan, Clemson. They have a playoff loss to Clemson.

Yeah. Emphasis on the Michigan.

Yeah, Michigan is not the one that you can lose. Lucy and I said earlier in the season that if you lost again to Michigan, it would be bad. And a lot of people on the internet did not like that take.

It's wild because Ohio State fans are normally so well-adjusted.

They were like, That's not true. Well, it'll be fine. A ton of former Ohio State players were tweeting that he needed to be fired after the game. Which I don't need to agree with. He was seven and one.

That's insane, but that shows you the type of job that is. I'm not saying that Ryan Day isn't a good coach, but man, if you can't win that game at Ohio State, there's no point in you being at Ohio State. Go somewhere else. I liked the idea of him at Texas A&M because... I know, but I think it's just the same. Yeah, it's been hilarious. The stakes at Ohio State are always 1,000 times larger. You have The trademarked. It's a school that thinks very highly of themselves. You have to beat your rival.

Been for you? Oh, man. I think it's fun that next year there is a possibility, non-zero chance that these teams play each other multiple times in a regular season matchup, in a conference match-up. But because they're getting rid of divisions, and potentially in a playoff because we are going to have a 12-team playoff next year. So we could have lots of the game in the medium house.

When I was watching the ranking show, which I don't watch every week because it's stupid most weeks, but this week it matters. And I was looking at the just like a beyond four, and I'm like, We're really going to have a system that we let old miss in? Are we happy with this? Is that what we want? We want to see old miss in the playoff?

What are your feelings about this? As college football diehard. The 12.

Well, they're not going to put the toothpaste back in the tube now that they've agreed to do 12. The TV networks are salivating over it. But I mean, I just think it's a lot of games, especially if you're going to keep the conference championship games. It's a lot to ask of players to play if they're in all of the rounds of the playoffs and making a deep run. And also, I wish we had built our way up to that. I also don't think that if the problem with the four team playoff is there's blowouts in the semifinals every year. That's going to change in a 12 team playoff. There's still going to be a lot of blowouts because there's just unequal talent across college football.

We'd have a world where Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State are all in the playoff. And we clearly know that Penn State is not nearly as good as those other teams. I think we just added so much when the problem in college football has always been this giant gap between the best teams and then the really good teams.

Usually the two best teams and then some great teams.

Yeah. There's not enough, if we've learned anything from this year, there's not enough good teams in college football. It's really hard to be a good college.

Football team. Taylor brings up a good point. What we should do for determining how many teams make the playoff is wherever Penn State is in the rankings. That's it. That's it. Minus one.

I've told you guys, I say my take all the time, Penn State should always start the season, rank 17. If they beat Michigan, Ohio State, they can go up. If not, you're stuck at 17th of the whole year.

I'm going to pull us back from the edge because I feel like I'm being way too much of a hater right now. Let's talk about a game that we actually are excited to watch and like both of these teams. The Pac-12 Championship, Oregon number five, versus number three, Washington. Oregon's a big favorite. The way that the committee has ranked these teams, you have to imagine, Oregon wins and they're in.

I agree with that. The spread for this game, as of whenever is, I believe, Oregon minus nine and a half. It's large. Yeah. It's a big spread. I don't know how anyone who has watched Oregon football and Washington football the last months since they've played would disagree with that. Oregon has done enough that they don't have... Their ranked wins are what, Oregon States? Yeah. And Oregon State, I believe.

They.

Need this win desperately. But with you have a Heisman candidate on your team in Bownex, Washington a team that you lost before, but you lost at their home field.

Utah was their big win. Yeah. But Utah has now fallen. Fall now is the goal.

Oregon, if they win, they deserve their spot. I think that if Washington wins, also they deserve their spot. But, like Washington's been playing with Fire for weeks now. I have been with Fire for weeks. My team at Phoenix Junior tried to lose that game against Washington and say he did everything in his power to lose.

That game. Yes, they have been playing really, really close games versus Oregon, which has just continued to play pretty solid football for the second half of the season since the Washington game. I'm excited to watch this one. I think I give the edge to Oregon because I gave them the edge the first time they played. I thought they were a slightly better team on both sides of the ball. But Washington and Rome, O'Doonzay, they have been such a fun team to watch this year, and I still expect them to do some cool things. So I don't know if it's going to be a blowout or anything like that, but I think Oregon will win.

They've been very TCU-esque in just their ability to win all these games. You're like, Yeah, you tried to lose that one. You definitely did. Also the Color Purple.

Yeah, and we say TCU like, Oh, TCU, biggest college football championship loss ever. But they also beat Michigan last year.

They were fun. So being TCU is not the worst thing. Georgia could.

That brings us to Saturday. I mean, we're probably not going to talk about this, the USA champion. If we have extra time, we'll talk about Mexico State versus Liberty, number 24. We're a team of the country with Jamie Chlebel, undefeated. There we go. We talked about it. Saturday at noon, the Big 12 championship. Lucy, you got to watch Texas play this year at the Red River rivalry. Very tough to twister. Very tough to say. And because of some late-season screw-ups by Oklahoma, which you also got to witness in person, we now have not a rematch of that, but a Oklahoma State Texas Big 12 championship game.

Texas should be a big favorite on this one. Oklahoma State is very, very weird. They are a team that you don't really know what's going to show up. The team that beat Oklahoma and this huge fun, rivalry game to end out, bedlam, went and got blown out at UCF the next week. They haven't played a consistent level of football for me to believe that they're going to beat Texas. And when I look at Texas specifically, I look at that Kansas State game, which is a game that the last 10 years, Texas would have lost nine out of 10 times.

Well, they haven't won a conference championship since 2009. It's been.

Some help. They absolutely need help. They're rooting for Alabama to win this weekend because that only strengthens their win. Everybody is a Louisville fan this weekend. Unless you're a Florida State fan, you were cheering for Jeff Brahm to pull this upset, which not that unlikely.

And this Georgia team, I think, is very good. I think it's a lot better than any other team in the country. But they've had moments this year. Like, Mizzou is a good football team. It took them three quarters, which is longer than normally takes. I didn't think of them a Head Start.

Okay, so let's say that Georgia wins, Oregon wins, Michigan wins. Sorry, Lucy. Okay, I take it back. It would be funnier if I will won than if.

Football playoff. I think that is what the playoff committee will choose.

It the whole thing with the playoff is like, that's their thing. We don't choose the four most deserving teams. Those would be the four most deserving teams. We choose the four best teams. I would love to see someone take Florida State's spot. They've earned it, so I'm not pioneering for it. Florida State, if you win, you deserve to be there. I'm not trying to take that away from you. I'm just saying that if I want a competitive match up, which you will most likely be matched up against Georgia, I'd like to see Texas there. I could see them even trying to sneak in Ohio State, not because I think Ohio State deserves to be there, but just because I think the entire point of the playoff in its entire existence is how can we get more Ohio State football? That's their MO. When they have that meeting, they're not talking about who's best, who's worse. They're like, Did everyone watch Ohio State Akron this weekend? I hope so. They're our number one.

Yeah, I disagree with you. I think if Florida State wins, I don't have any issue with them, and I don't think that the committee would actually take them out. I don't think they will. I just want them to be there. If they had dropped them a little bit after their struggles versus Florida, I think we'd be like, Oh, they're setting the stage for pissing off Florida State fans.

But they dropped them. They moved them back up after Ohio State lost because they dropped them to five. And when they dropped them to five, that's when I was like, I think they're preparing us to not have Florida State here. I think the committee is just hoping for everything we expect to happen this weekend to happen and no chaos. But it's going to be a tough sell to like, I'm not going to really want to watch Georgia, Florida State as much as I'd want to watch Georgia, Texas.

I saw a Florida State fan on Instagram being like, ESPN is the most insane Alabama bias. And I was like, if you win, you're probably good.

Just win your games. That's the thing. Same with Washington, like win your games.
