You're listening to.

[00:00:03]

Draftkings Network.

[00:00:11]

Welcome to The Big Suie, presented by DraftKings.

[00:00:17]

Why are you listening to this show? It's a podcast.

[00:00:19]

That seems very similar to the other Dan Levitard podcast. I'm sorry. I'm not going to apologize for that.

[00:00:24]

In fact.

[00:00:25]

The only difference.

[00:00:26]

Seems to be this imaging. I have been tempted in restaurants walking past tables to grab somebody's fries if they're just there. That hasn't happened to you guys?

[00:00:35]

I've done it.

[00:00:36]

And.

[00:00:37]

Now here's The Marching Man to Nowhere, Fetface, and The.

[00:00:41]

Habitual Liar.

[00:00:42]

I hate this thing. Jeremy has to pick on behalf of three people. Who? Stugat somehow doesn't have to pick because he's on a buy week. Does everyone else here have to pick from the.

[00:01:07]

Bucket of death? Thank God. Didn't you go on Tuesday already? Yeah, I did. Yeah, that's already been established. This is the first since his… This is our first Friday show in a very long time. In live, we wanted to do something special. Not a lot of people are here. Jeremy is going to pick for three. Everyone in this back room will pick, and then Dan will pick to close out this segment.

[00:01:26]

Before you do so, though, Jeremy, I am going to get to the point I was going to make before what broke out was, Haimie Haqaz is either Damian Lillard or Luca.

[00:01:36]

If you squint, then don't forget to taste the kid. And whose take is it, Mike? He's Jimmy Butler.

[00:01:40]

Come on. I do want to finish the thought I had about us starting at Max and how poisonous the reaction was in the comment section. Go ahead, Jeremy. Pick, though, from the bucket of death, who are you picking for.

[00:01:51]

Right now? I am picking for Jess first, then Lucy, then Roy. All right. So Jess gets the Colts. At the Titans, a one and a half point favorite.

[00:02:00]

That's a.

[00:02:02]

Good pick. I think that's good. I'm going to keep it. I'm going to keep it. I'm going to keep it. Jess has.

[00:02:07]

Had real good luck in this game. Only won once a year. She's drawn some bad teams.

[00:02:13]

Lucy gets the Arizona Cardinale. At Steeler's five and a half point underdog. I'm going to put that back for her.

[00:02:20]

She.

[00:02:21]

Gets the Miami Dolphins. That's obviously a favorite. The biggest favorite.

[00:02:23]

Of the week. By the way, our Miller Light watch party is officially a Miami Dolphins watch party. The NFL did not flex that. They actually did against what Joe Buck predicted. They did flex out the Homes and Kelsey. They flexed the Chiefs out because they're playing the Patriots, who you can only put Bill Billow check up as a graphic for, apparently, in our days. Lucky we're us. They flexed out for Eagles Seahawks. But Titan's Dolphins is officially a go. We'll be at Vivo Miami, the Miller Light Stage, December 11th, open to all ages. Come out and hang out.

[00:02:56]

With us. It's still the Chiefs. I'm surprised they flexed him. I mean, it's crazy. Roy gets the Pittsburgh Stealers five and a half point favorites against the Arizona Cardinals.

[00:03:05]

The Dolphins, incidentally, on the road at Washington. They are a nine and a half point favorite, but they're on the road against the commanders, and I'd be scared of that like I'm scared of everything in that bucket.

[00:03:16]

All right, I got the Texans. At home, three and a half point favorite against the Broncos. Interesting game. I'll keep the Texans. Yeah. Big game. Big game this weekend.

[00:03:28]

Playoff eliminating. I would have thought that.

[00:03:30]

Yeah. Us. Texans and Broncos. The N-of-Val man.

[00:03:33]

You would have thought that after the Broncos lost to a team that put up 70. Yeah. I'm also.

[00:03:38]

Picking under protest. I'm picking under protest because I have the Golden Helman.

[00:03:42]

Of life. Tony, wait a minute.

[00:03:44]

It's the rare, bad win at the time. That's a.

[00:03:46]

Good win now. Wait a minute. Yes, agreed. But, Tony, you cannot claim that you had the Broncos after allowing 70 as still a good.

[00:03:56]

Football team. The bones were there, Dano. It's like looking at a house, right? You look at the house and you're like, Interesting bones there.

[00:04:02]

I think I can work with that.

[00:04:04]

I didn't quit on the Jags. I was just professing my love for CJ Strowd and them boys. You also didn't cheat in getting the Golden Helm. That's also true. This pic is under protest because Billy Swop, which the week that I had the Golden Helm in my mind. So he does not have the Golden Helman of Life.

[00:04:18]

What team did.

[00:04:18]

You pick? I have the pants as a putting back.

[00:04:19]

Take it up with the commissioner. I'm sure Billy will rule in your favor. You're such fast friends.

[00:04:25]

He sucks as a commissioner.

[00:04:27]

You should have done that in sign language.

[00:04:30]

He's helped you cheat and you're bad mouthing. Oh, yeah, 100%. I got the Browns. I'll keep them.

[00:04:36]

The Browns are at the Rams. They are a three and a half point dog at the Rams.

[00:04:41]

Watch out for the Rams, I'm telling you. You have possibly Flacko, a quarterback. No Miles, Garrett, no, Mark, Cooper. It's just a tough draw for us. Good spot. I mean, the Browns.

[00:04:51]

The Browns are on their fourth quarterback?

[00:04:54]

I've got the Tampa Bay Bucks and Baker Mayfield who should win Come Back Player of the Year pretty easily.

[00:05:01]

That's a keeper. Panthers. They're playing at home against the Panthers. Five and a.

[00:05:05]

Half point favorite. I mean, DeMare Hamlin is favored to be Come Back Player of the Year. Not a lot of good tape on him this season. Baker, for me, easy.

[00:05:13]

Easy. It was going to be Dobbs there for a minute, I feel like. And Aaron Rogers would like a word. He really.

[00:05:20]

Would, Daniel.

[00:05:21]

They opened up his window.

[00:05:23]

If he plays, it's got to be Aaron, right?

[00:05:25]

Jeremy- Let me just tell you. Let me ask you guys a question. Who's been the best player of this year? Demore Hamlin, Aaron Rogers, or Baker Mayfield? Oh, wow. The defense rest.

[00:05:34]

I mean, but the season is not over for Aaron yet. He could win Come Back Player of the Year. Stugat said the past to not fall back to Earth. You get it?

[00:05:43]

Yes, I saw you point at him and he pointed at you and you were all very happy with each other.

[00:05:50]

Love finger guns.

[00:05:51]

Did he fall off the toilet back to Earth? The astronaut. I have the underdog helmet, which I never like.

[00:06:01]

Well, he likes underdogs.

[00:06:03]

You know what? I'll keep the Titans against the Colts. I'll go directly-Really? -against Chris Cody.

[00:06:10]

You can go Eagles.

[00:06:10]

Remember the All-Squint team there. You can go Eagles at home against the Niner.

[00:06:13]

You can go to Will Levis. I am scared of the Niner. The Niner look totally overwhelming whenever they're healthy.

[00:06:21]

You're going against Jess, by the way.

[00:06:23]

She has the Colts. I'm going to own this take, Niners won in the Super Bowl.

[00:06:26]

Don't like it?

[00:06:27]

No.

[00:06:28]

No, it's mine. You saw how they made Dallas.

[00:06:29]

You tried to steal it a month from now. You saw.

[00:06:32]

How they made Dallas look, the 49ers, when they're healthy. Because Dallas's offense looks right now, it's like it can't be slowed or stopped by many people. Here we go.

[00:06:42]

I love that. Do it in the post-season. It's. I know, Jack's been great the last seven games. Three touchdowns, two interceptions, but enough. It's that part of the schedule, like I told you earlier. It's that part of the schedule. He tricks you and I think he's a good quarterback until he doesn't.

[00:06:54]

Here we go.

[00:06:55]

Here.

[00:06:56]

We.

[00:06:56]

Go. It's the greatest thing since Omaha.

[00:06:59]

People are going to jump to that conclusion with Doug as a turnover person. They are waiting for it, Stugat. They're waiting for him to cough up a football game. What I would simply ask you, because I don't think that Doug Prescott has actually gotten much better, but I do believe his skill guys are better than they've been in a minute, and his offensive line is good. And so he's looking like a quarterback who is very relaxed, very poised, not turning the ball over that much. And C. D. Lamb is arguing he's the best receiver in the league, and he's pretty close. But also, I'd always want a Brandon Cooke's on my team. I'd always want somebody who stretches the field like that. Jerry Jones has been trying to get that for a while. In fact, been trying to get it for a while, at least in part, because he wasn't going to keep Amari Cooper and C. D. Lamb together because C. D. Lamb was obviously going to be the number one receiver. So you need a compliment to that. And Pollard is better than.

[00:07:59]

- Zekes at this point. Zekes, yeah. Pretty easy.

[00:08:02]

But he was in the last couple of years, too, and they weren't using him as much because they were giving the carries.

[00:08:06]

To Zik. It's still hard to evaluate the Cowboys, though. I mean, the Seahawks, while they were competitive last night in a game that they might have needed badly, they're not playing a good team still. I don't know if you can lump Seattle, considering how they've looked recently into that good team bucket yet, and they struggled with that. I will say the one ruling that I'm willing to make is now seeing what Dallas looks like with McCarthy Call and plays and seeing the year that the Los Angeles Chargers have had, the Wonder Kid telling more stuff has got no more shine to it.

[00:08:40]

Yeah, that's fair. We're going to figure out what the Cowboys are in the next couple of games. They play the Eagles, the Bulls, the Dolphins, the Lions. They went to Philadelphia and lost by three points, I think. I thought that was a.

[00:08:50]

Good game. I thought that was as impressive a performance on Jack's resume this year. Yes.

[00:08:56]

Can you guys get me sound? Because I'm tired of the argument that Jeremy and Mike are having on and off air about who had what right. Can we have a video investigation?

[00:09:08]

We'll get it first.

[00:09:09]

Yeah, well, we're going to get a video investigation here going to find out who was actually right. But before we do that, Hassan Redik of The Eagles says of facing San Francisco.

[00:09:21]

Quote.

[00:09:22]

Talk is cheap. They get to come back in the link. It was a lot of boo-hoo's last year. A lot of crying, a lot of what-if, a lot of this, a lot of that. They get a chance to come back in here, line that shit up and prove it again.

[00:09:35]

I love The Link. Let's go.

[00:09:36]

What are your thoughts about what he is saying there, though? They get to come back in The Link. It was a lot of boo-hoo's last year, a lot of crying, a lot of what if, a lot of this, a lot of that.

[00:09:48]

Listen, Philadelphia, for me, they're being disrespected this week. I think they're the best team in football. They're being disrespected this week. They're not favorites at home against San Francisco. And they're right. They got to go to the and you got to get it done there. No one's going to trust Dallas or Jack Prescott then until he does it in a big spot and a big game in the postseason. That's just.

[00:10:08]

The way it is. That's fine. But I'm more interested here when I hear like, this is so football and to me, genuinely and generally frustrating. This is the quote. It was a lot of boo-hoo's last year, a lot of crying, a lot of what if, a lot of this, a lot of that. The San Francisco 49ers in a playoff game didn't have a quarterback. That's not boo-hoo's what-if's like crying. They didn't have a quarterback. Mcafrey was playing quarterback. That's not a lot of boo-hoo what-if. It's like, we didn't have a quarterback. If we had a quarterback, we might look like we look when Brock Purdy, who might also not be a quarterback. Just one healthy quarterback that we could put back there. That's not boo-hoo's, what-if's, excuses like that's so. The 49ers played a playoff game that they lost on the road that I would expect them to win, favored in this game because everybody thinks the 49ers are the most overwhelming team in football when.

[00:11:06]

They're healthy. Chris Sims says, When healthy, their best is better than everyone else's best. He also said that Mac Jones would be Brock purdy if he played for the San Francisco 49ers. That's absurd.

[00:11:17]

I mean.

[00:11:18]

Garapolo can't play. I love Sims. He's on our show. He's great to us, but that seems ridiculous.

[00:11:22]

Garapolo can't play. He was a pass from winning a Super Bowl.

[00:11:25]

Can't play quarterback. I'm happy that we get this game in the four o'clock window. It's no late at night, no excuses. We're going to line that shit up. You're going to find out that Brock Purdy isn't just some guy that's orchestrating the offense that's designed and putting up numbers. Dude's been making throws. If you squint.

[00:11:43]

If you squint.

[00:11:45]

Talk to me. It looks like early-day Tom braided stuff. I'm not projecting him to be Tom braided, but in terms of working within an offense, making pinpoint passes, throwing guys over. Can he.

[00:11:53]

Win a playoff game? I mean, Jesus.

[00:11:55]

They have built such a great team, and they got the hack, which is a guy that's putting up numbers and making winning plays at the most important position, making less than a million dollars a year.

[00:12:05]

It looks like Trevor Simeon. No. So you're saying he's pretty good. Another thing that I said seven months ago with Jeremy, Jesus Christ. I'm saying until he wins a playoff game, crock, Purdy.

[00:12:15]

I am going to give you a stat here on the opposite end of this. Tim Boyle is starting another football game this week, and this is from Seth Walden. Such a great stat. At Yukon, Tim Boyle had a QBR for three years. A total of 15.8 among all 251 quarterbacks in college football who had thrown 200 passes in the last three years. He ranked.

[00:12:40]

Dead last. Don't say white with me.

[00:12:43]

Don Lebertard. You can't talk about double-digit national titles when every single call of you winning the national title sounds like this. Oh, there's a stopping check running down his eyelid. If the sidelines.. That's not true. And there's a World War II veteran pitching into another white guy, and he avoids another white guy. Oh, my God, not a name. The fighting Irish have done it again for the eighth time. They're the paying white people. Spoogots.

[00:13:08]

Chubby.

[00:13:09]

Jekger. I'm sorry. He's black. He's black. And I was really... I was white-named Chubby Chucker. I picked him like, What's a white man? Chubby, Checker. I picked a black. I'm sorry, man. I'm improv in here. This is a pretty cool rip. I thought they didn't mean to be totically a white.

[00:13:24]

Chubby Chucker running.

[00:13:25]

Down the side. He spells it differently. His name is Chubby. Maybe you didn't hear me correctly. His name is Chubby Chuckas. There's an S at the end.

[00:13:32]

I feel like that should be.

[00:13:34]

The largest of fun. It's Chubby Chuckas. It sounds like a college football name. This is The Dan Levator Show.

[00:13:42]

With the Stoogat.

[00:13:43]

Lucy, we're finally back after two weeks of Thanksgiving, and you were in Seattle, and then we didn't have a Friday show last week, so we couldn't do this last two weeks. We're finally back, and I missed you. I missed you.

[00:13:55]

We got the same city in our Spotify reps, and I was like, Oh, that's a.

[00:13:58]

Sign we should be together. And it's a sign that we are Colorado Buffalo fans. I just did the dance thing. I just did Buffalo. Buffalo's tough. We also have a guest this week. Charlotte. Hello. Hello. Charlotte used to live in College Station, basically.

[00:14:14]

Yeah, I did. I had to go three times in two years, which is so many times. Oh, my God. For her College football. Oh, my God. I married a couple at Texas A&M.

[00:14:22]

You affiliated a marriage. Yeah, I did. You didn't get married.

[00:14:26]

To- Sorry, no, I didn't. Oh, God, I did not get married at Texas A&M. Thank you so much for having me. I'm honored to be on this unnamed College Football segment.

[00:14:35]

You're here as emotional support.

[00:14:36]

Yeah, because it's funny you brought that up. Mike is also here, and he wants to show us something. He's funny.

[00:14:43]

Yeah, well, we've been talking throughout the week about how your show is unnamed, and that's very unfair to you guys. I know you're a part of the show, but this college football segment has carved out its own identity. The best way to do that is to have a brand around it. We bought into the concept of you guys having this college football show. Next thing was, how do we make it bigger? We punched it up after talking to several firms, and we put together something. The team, I, with all the feedback and analytics that our consulting department had, and we put together something that I'm super excited about. I'm so happy that you're here for it because I know there's been a lot of debate and discourse about footgirls, but you guys know how much I value you guys' individual talents and your knowledge of college football is second to none. I just think that we need to have some branding so we can get people to search out college, football, girls, all that stuff and have a huge, huge show for you guys going forward. I'm really happy with what we came out with.

[00:15:55]

Foot, foot, foot, foot.

[00:16:10]

Hey, Jess and Lucey ain't messing around.

[00:16:13]

They're.

[00:16:14]

Talking football.

[00:16:15]

They're the mess in town. They've got their toes out and their feet are small, and they are experts in.

[00:16:22]

College.

[00:16:23]

Football.

[00:16:29]

Mike.

[00:16:32]

Oh.

[00:16:33]

My God.

[00:16:35]

Why is there a foot on my microphone?

[00:16:38]

Brandy. I don't like the way it looks like... Brandy, that's your brand new foot, Mike. Be very careful. Each one of those costs $700,000.

[00:16:46]

I'm so sorry. I don't have one.

[00:16:49]

If you're not watching this on YouTube, which you always should be, that was a video compilation of Feat to a song that Mike recorded.

[00:16:57]

Did you like the song? I want.

[00:16:59]

To-free, feed videos.

[00:17:00]

-free, feed videos? We have a brand new fancy background for you guys here. I'm really happy that you guys gave me the chance to punch this segment up. I'm proud of the art that we made. It's a catchy little out of the deadie, I think. Thank you for not just rebuffing me and telling me to go shove it and really giving this an honest try. Happy for the official launch of footgirls.

[00:17:27]

Yeah, we'll think about it. We'll get back. Well, Lucy and I will have a meeting. It looks.

[00:17:32]

Like they're wearing ankle monitors because they're strapped in your microphone. Are these, like felon feet? Now there's a name. Now there's a name.

[00:17:43]

All right, Mike, get the fuck out of here. We need to actually talk about football, and we only have 20 minutes left and we haven't talked in three weeks. Lucy, I guess we'll keep the feet on for now. I don't love that there are toes behind my head in the background.

[00:17:59]

I don't like the trajectory of the foot because it's a little... Yeah. It's too close to my mouth.

[00:18:06]

I don't like it. The big toe, is your guys' second toe bigger than your first toe? Yes. Yeah, same. Really?

[00:18:12]

Is that rare or not rare?

[00:18:14]

I don't know. I don't think it's rare. Yeah. Well, I'm not going to tell you guys.

[00:18:17]

Anything about my feet.

[00:18:18]

That's a good point. Yeah, same. We're not giving that away.

[00:18:20]

For free. It started working. It started working.

[00:18:23]

God damn it.

[00:18:25]

Just what he wanted.

[00:18:27]

How do we segue to football? Yeah, there it is. Football.

[00:18:31]

Yeah. Get a nice.

[00:18:32]

Kick out of it.

[00:18:33]

Week 13, dive.

[00:18:34]

On in.

[00:18:36]

I hate looking at this spot.

[00:18:37]

I hate looking at this put.

[00:18:39]

All right.

[00:18:39]

Feet are gross, but I do like toesies.

[00:18:42]

Oh.

[00:18:43]

You're cute.

[00:18:44]

Like, in general, this little piggy, there's so many little piggies behind you. You can see up under the piggies.

[00:18:51]

I know, you're right around my head. Okay, let's start with what happened last weekend, I guess. You were at the big game. I was. The medium game. Well, the medium house.

[00:19:01]

I thought it was really great. It was an awesome game. Maybe one of the best games we went to this year outside, I think Red River was also a little bit better. The big house is just a big stadium.

[00:19:13]

That's- The medium house.

[00:19:14]

-that's the extent of it.

[00:19:16]

Call me crazy. When I was there, it didn't feel as big as other places. Lsu felt so much bigger to me. Even Tennessee College... Oh, well, Kyle Field is like... Crazy. Kyle Field is where I go in my nightmares. But yeah, did it feel big to you?

[00:19:35]

No. I've actually been to a Michigan game before, but I went to a Penn State game this year as well, and it's similar seating capacities, but not quite as big as Michigan. Where Penn State is so tall that it's over top you and it feels so much louder and so much bigger, where Michigan is just like a big ass bowl.

[00:19:51]

Yeah, like a wooden salad bowl, which just doesn't pack the same punch.

[00:19:56]

As a hater, I'm here for the slander. But it was a great game. It did live up to the hype, I think, right? It came down to the final drive in the game was the make or break moment for Ohio State. Could Ryan Day finally beat Michigan? The answer is still no, even though they could have. It wasn't like they were outplayed. It felt like they were outcoached, honestly.

[00:20:23]

No, Kyle McCord is weird, but you have to know what to do in those situations when you have a quarterback who is not the most accurate, who's not most trustworthy. This is a game where you came in and this is a beatable Michigan team. They struggled against Maryland last week. They're without their head coach. This is a winnable game for a team as talented as Ohio State. Look, if I'm in charge, I throw the ball to Marvin Harrison Jr. Every single time. I don't think about anything else, ever. Ever. It's just Ryan Day has proven to you time and time again that he's just better James Franklin. James Franklin with more talent.

[00:20:59]

James Franklin with a dyed beard.

[00:21:01]

Yeah, with hair?

[00:21:02]

Yeah.

[00:21:03]

It's very dark. It's not like, Ryan Day, look, that's the only game that matters. And Jim Harbaut came out and said, Oh, it's overblown. I don't think it is. I think people really care about it. I think Boosters really care about it.

[00:21:14]

No, having been to two now in the past two seasons when I was doing college football stuff, people care more about that than anything else. It is so absurd and the fact that Ryan Day is what, two and-Three and all. -three and all. No, in big games and like that and.

[00:21:33]

Playoff games. Well, he has seven losses only in his coaching career, and they are all two teams that Ohio State expects to win some against Georgia, Michigan, Clemson. They have a playoff loss to Clemson.

[00:21:46]

Yeah. Emphasis on the Michigan.

[00:21:48]

Yeah, Michigan is not the one that you can lose. Lucy and I said earlier in the season that if you lost again to Michigan, it would be bad. And a lot of people on the internet did not like that take.

[00:22:00]

It's wild because Ohio State fans are normally so well-adjusted.

[00:22:03]

They were like, That's not true. Well, it'll be fine. A ton of former Ohio State players were tweeting that he needed to be fired after the game. Which I don't need to agree with. He was seven and one.

[00:22:15]

That's insane, but that shows you the type of job that is. I'm not saying that Ryan Day isn't a good coach, but man, if you can't win that game at Ohio State, there's no point in you being at Ohio State. Go somewhere else. I liked the idea of him at Texas A&M because... I know, but I think it's just the same. Yeah, it's been hilarious. The stakes at Ohio State are always 1,000 times larger. You have The trademarked. It's a school that thinks very highly of themselves. You have to beat your rival.

[00:22:40]

You can't trademark the... Did they succeed? I feel like they didn't, did they? Or did they? They did. It worked? I believe so. I like that take, Lucy. I feel like- I'm.

[00:22:48]

Not going to say it. I'm not going to pay them a dime.

[00:22:50]

I'm going to say the whenever I want. The whole point. No, I like that. The idea of if Ryan Day wants to look out for Ryan Day, he needs to be at Ohio State.

[00:23:01]

I mean, it's the same thing with the Texas job where you're like, yeah, that's a big job, but you have a lot of things you got to worry about outside of it. Ohio State is like, go find yourself a nice mid-SEC school. Go find yourself. You should have taken that Nebraska job. How awesome would that have.

[00:23:17]

Been for you? Oh, man. I think it's fun that next year there is a possibility, non-zero chance that these teams play each other multiple times in a regular season matchup, in a conference match-up. But because they're getting rid of divisions, and potentially in a playoff because we are going to have a 12-team playoff next year. So we could have lots of the game in the medium house.

[00:23:41]

When I was watching the ranking show, which I don't watch every week because it's stupid most weeks, but this week it matters. And I was looking at the just like a beyond four, and I'm like, We're really going to have a system that we let old miss in? Are we happy with this? Is that what we want? We want to see old miss in the playoff?

[00:23:58]

What are your feelings about this? As college football diehard. The 12.

[00:24:02]

Team playoff?

[00:24:03]

Yeah. Too many.

[00:24:04]

Well, they're not going to put the toothpaste back in the tube now that they've agreed to do 12. The TV networks are salivating over it. But I mean, I just think it's a lot of games, especially if you're going to keep the conference championship games. It's a lot to ask of players to play if they're in all of the rounds of the playoffs and making a deep run. And also, I wish we had built our way up to that. I also don't think that if the problem with the four team playoff is there's blowouts in the semifinals every year. That's going to change in a 12 team playoff. There's still going to be a lot of blowouts because there's just unequal talent across college football.

[00:24:39]

We'd have a world where Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State are all in the playoff. And we clearly know that Penn State is not nearly as good as those other teams. I think we just added so much when the problem in college football has always been this giant gap between the best teams and then the really good teams.

[00:24:56]

Usually the two best teams and then some great teams.

[00:24:59]

Yeah. There's not enough, if we've learned anything from this year, there's not enough good teams in college football. It's really hard to be a good college.

[00:25:06]

Football team. Taylor brings up a good point. What we should do for determining how many teams make the playoff is wherever Penn State is in the rankings. That's it. That's it. Minus one.

[00:25:16]

I've told you guys, I say my take all the time, Penn State should always start the season, rank 17. If they beat Michigan, Ohio State, they can go up. If not, you're stuck at 17th of the whole year.

[00:25:25]

This is the meanest, where you belong. This is the meanest footgirls get, by the way. We're starting out in a really negative place.

[00:25:30]

Don Lebertard. He, for some reason, would do a Gary Stevens impersonation of the offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami. Go ahead. Do you want to do that for the people? Your Gary Stevens impersonation. Personation. You want to give people some of that 30 years in the making.

[00:25:48]

Stookaz. What? Who needs me? Oh, that? I can give that my whole life. You're going to go to Buffalo and win with Bernie Pomley? Who needs me?

[00:26:00]

This is The Dan Levator.

[00:26:03]

Show with the Stookaz.

[00:26:13]

I'm going to pull us back from the edge because I feel like I'm being way too much of a hater right now. Let's talk about a game that we actually are excited to watch and like both of these teams. The Pac-12 Championship, Oregon number five, versus number three, Washington. Oregon's a big favorite. The way that the committee has ranked these teams, you have to imagine, Oregon wins and they're in.

[00:26:36]

I agree with that. The spread for this game, as of whenever is, I believe, Oregon minus nine and a half. It's large. Yeah. It's a big spread. I don't know how anyone who has watched Oregon football and Washington football the last months since they've played would disagree with that. Oregon has done enough that they don't have... Their ranked wins are what, Oregon States? Yeah. And Oregon State, I believe.

[00:27:02]

They.

[00:27:04]

Need this win desperately. But with you have a Heisman candidate on your team in Bownex, Washington a team that you lost before, but you lost at their home field.

[00:27:11]

Utah was their big win. Yeah. But Utah has now fallen. Fall now is the goal.

[00:27:17]

Oregon, if they win, they deserve their spot. I think that if Washington wins, also they deserve their spot. But, like Washington's been playing with Fire for weeks now. I have been with Fire for weeks. My team at Phoenix Junior tried to lose that game against Washington and say he did everything in his power to lose.

[00:27:32]

That game. Yes, they have been playing really, really close games versus Oregon, which has just continued to play pretty solid football for the second half of the season since the Washington game. I'm excited to watch this one. I think I give the edge to Oregon because I gave them the edge the first time they played. I thought they were a slightly better team on both sides of the ball. But Washington and Rome, O'Doonzay, they have been such a fun team to watch this year, and I still expect them to do some cool things. So I don't know if it's going to be a blowout or anything like that, but I think Oregon will win.

[00:28:09]

They've been very TCU-esque in just their ability to win all these games. You're like, Yeah, you tried to lose that one. You definitely did. Also the Color Purple.

[00:28:16]

Yeah, and we say TCU like, Oh, TCU, biggest college football championship loss ever. But they also beat Michigan last year.

[00:28:24]

Yeah, they beat Michigan.

[00:28:25]

They were fun. So being TCU is not the worst thing. Georgia could.

[00:28:29]

Have to Michigan. It's occupying that space where it's like, Oh, okay. We're a little surprised you're here, but welcome. You've clearly... Oops, I almost knocked over a water bottle. You've earned your spot at the table.

[00:28:42]

We're a serious cat.

[00:28:45]

That brings us to Saturday. I mean, we're probably not going to talk about this, the USA champion. If we have extra time, we'll talk about Mexico State versus Liberty, number 24. We're a team of the country with Jamie Chlebel, undefeated. There we go. We talked about it. Saturday at noon, the Big 12 championship. Lucy, you got to watch Texas play this year at the Red River rivalry. Very tough to twister. Very tough to say. And because of some late-season screw-ups by Oklahoma, which you also got to witness in person, we now have not a rematch of that, but a Oklahoma State Texas Big 12 championship game.

[00:29:21]

Very Orange.

[00:29:22]

Very Orange game. We've gone to a lot of Orange.

[00:29:24]

Texas is a big favorite.

[00:29:26]

Texas should be a big favorite on this one. Oklahoma State is very, very weird. They are a team that you don't really know what's going to show up. The team that beat Oklahoma and this huge fun, rivalry game to end out, bedlam, went and got blown out at UCF the next week. They haven't played a consistent level of football for me to believe that they're going to beat Texas. And when I look at Texas specifically, I look at that Kansas State game, which is a game that the last 10 years, Texas would have lost nine out of 10 times.

[00:29:55]

Well, they haven't won a conference championship since 2009. It's been.

[00:29:58]

A long time.

[00:29:59]

We were children. We, because we're the same age.

[00:30:03]

Yeah, and I'm the same age.

[00:30:05]

As both.

[00:30:06]

Of you. Okay, I have a question. Yeah. Will Arch Manning play?

[00:30:11]

No. I don't think they're going to blow them out. They won't. And even if they did, I don't think he would play. But I will say- We saw him hit stack. Yeah, that's true. And they've handled that very... The quarterback issues there very well because having your starting quarterback go out when you're in the hunt for the playoff is always dicey. But Texas, if they win, needs some other things to happen for them to make the playoff, I think. I think that if Oklahoma had made it to the championship game and been undefeated, that would have been an opportunity for maybe Texas to get in. But also now you have an Oklahoma issue because of Oklahoma's losses. And now this game against Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State is ranked 18. I think Texas needs.

[00:30:52]

Some help. They absolutely need help. They're rooting for Alabama to win this weekend because that only strengthens their win. Everybody is a Louisville fan this weekend. Unless you're a Florida State fan, you were cheering for Jeff Brahm to pull this upset, which not that unlikely.

[00:31:07]

I think it might actually be a pretty tight game.

[00:31:10]

I think so too. Obviously, if Jordan Travis were playing, I think it'd be a different story, but he's not.

[00:31:15]

The ACC Championship is so rarely the game everyone wants to watch. I say this looking at Taylor who is like, Yeah, that's accurate.

[00:31:24]

Carolina got.

[00:31:25]

Killed in it. Yeah. There was the one your pit was in it. That was funky. Oh, yeah, that was crazy. But other than that, it's like... It was a fake slot game. The fake slot game was electric. That was probably the highlight of.

[00:31:36]

The ACC Championship- Oh, my God. That was the ACC Championship.

[00:31:38]

-over the last 10 years. But yeah, that's on Saturday night at eight o'clock, same time as your Iowa Hawkeye's game against Michigan in Indianapolis. So two games that have very different point spreads. Louisville is a two and a half point underdog to Florida State. Louisville, because they lost to Kentucky last weekend in their rivalry game, now completely out of the playoff picture, which is a huge bummer because they were maybe like a dark horse candidate. Although losing to pit, you're never really going to -You got Narduzzi.

[00:32:07]

You don't.

[00:32:07]

Recover from that. Yeah, when you rum and you get Narduzzi. That's tough. Yeah. So other than that, I think the biggest game of the weekend, as always. This always happens every year. Even the years that Alabama had. I know. The SEC Championship game is going to be at four o'clock. It is going to be Alabama and Georgia. And Alabama.

[00:32:28]

Winning -I just got nervous when you said that for some reason. The anticipation and just general horror.

[00:32:35]

Yeah, I mean, the chaos that will ensue is going to have long-ranging ramifications. So what do we do with this game? Because who... What you're trying to do? Five and a half points, Brad. Jaylin Millrow playing better, but still, they should have a second loss. They should have lost to Auburn, but Bamma hold it off once again. Their defense is good, but Georgia has got a good offense. They've got Carson Beck, who's playing really well now. A couple of their players are banged up like Brock Bowers had... He's obviously coming back from surgery.

[00:33:06]

How is he back.

[00:33:07]

So fast?

[00:33:08]

I don't know.

[00:33:08]

He was gone for like five minutes. I don't.

[00:33:10]

Understand medicine these days. I'm like, Everybody's back.

[00:33:14]

Aaron Rodgers saw what Brock Bowers did. Yeah, he was like.

[00:33:17]

I could do that. Give me whatever Mark gave them.

[00:33:21]

But like we all said on the show, we're all rooting for Alabama.

[00:33:23]

Can I admit something to you guys? I've been a secret Alabama fan for a long time because of The Patriots. Because I was like, How can I... When The Patriots were good, I was like, How.

[00:33:34]

Can I be a-You're just an asshole.

[00:33:35]

Yeah. No, I was like, How can I be a fan of The Patriots and then be like, Alabama fans are obnoxious? I was like, I have to put my money where my mouth is.

[00:33:42]

Okay, I respect that.

[00:33:43]

Not just because you like Mac Jones.

[00:33:45]

Oh, God, no. Mac Jones is... I can't even talk about MacJones.

[00:33:50]

You should really hate Alabama, I feel like.

[00:33:52]

But this was three years ago. Now it's like, Oh, well, okay. All of that fell apart. -bill Bryant's fan. -thanks, Bill O'Brien. Thanks, Bill O'Brien.

[00:33:59]

Yeah, I'm glad. Okay. I don't know. I think Georgia is going to win, but I think it would be hilarious if Alabama broke their, what is it? 30-game-win streak at this point?

[00:34:10]

I think Georgia cakewalks to... Outside of this game, I think this game could be funny, but I think Georgia is going to get in that playoff and win pretty easily. But would it not be the most Alabama thing ever to barely beat Auburn and then be like, You know what, Georgia? We're going to ruin everything for you. We're going to ruin it all. And this Georgia team, I think, is very good. I think it's a lot better than any other team in the country. But they've had moments this year. Like, Mizzou is a good football team. It took them three quarters, which is longer than normally takes. I didn't think of them a Head Start.

[00:34:40]

Okay, so let's say that Georgia wins, Oregon wins, Michigan wins. Sorry, Lucy. Okay, I take it back. It would be funnier if I will won than if.

[00:34:50]

Albaquerque won. Yeah, that's the funniest case scenario by far. Everyone is rooting for Iowa this weekend.

[00:34:55]

And Florida State wins. Are we in agreement? We're going to have Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Oregon in our college.

[00:35:04]

Football playoff. I think that is what the playoff committee will choose.

[00:35:07]

It's not Texas. Well, I think that's.

[00:35:08]

What they're praying for, that they don't have to make those-.

[00:35:11]

It's not what I want.

[00:35:13]

What do you want?

[00:35:14]

It the whole thing with the playoff is like, that's their thing. We don't choose the four most deserving teams. Those would be the four most deserving teams. We choose the four best teams. I would love to see someone take Florida State's spot. They've earned it, so I'm not pioneering for it. Florida State, if you win, you deserve to be there. I'm not trying to take that away from you. I'm just saying that if I want a competitive match up, which you will most likely be matched up against Georgia, I'd like to see Texas there. I could see them even trying to sneak in Ohio State, not because I think Ohio State deserves to be there, but just because I think the entire point of the playoff in its entire existence is how can we get more Ohio State football? That's their MO. When they have that meeting, they're not talking about who's best, who's worse. They're like, Did everyone watch Ohio State Akron this weekend? I hope so. They're our number one.

[00:36:01]

Yeah, I disagree with you. I think if Florida State wins, I don't have any issue with them, and I don't think that the committee would actually take them out. I don't think they will. I just want them to be there. If they had dropped them a little bit after their struggles versus Florida, I think we'd be like, Oh, they're setting the stage for pissing off Florida State fans.

[00:36:23]

But they dropped them. They moved them back up after Ohio State lost because they dropped them to five. And when they dropped them to five, that's when I was like, I think they're preparing us to not have Florida State here. I think the committee is just hoping for everything we expect to happen this weekend to happen and no chaos. But it's going to be a tough sell to like, I'm not going to really want to watch Georgia, Florida State as much as I'd want to watch Georgia, Texas.

[00:36:47]

I saw a Florida State fan on Instagram being like, ESPN is the most insane Alabama bias. And I was like, if you win, you're probably good.

[00:36:56]

Just win your games. That's the thing. Same with Washington, like win your games.

[00:36:59]

You're good. Florida State fans. I'm not saying you don't deserve to be there, so.

[00:37:03]

Don't get mad. Everyone deserves to be.

[00:37:05]

In play.

[00:37:06]

We all have self-worth.

[00:37:09]

And we.

[00:37:09]

All deserve to.

[00:37:10]

Have nice things. We all do. And that's why they're letting everybody in next year.

[00:37:13]

Before we go, this has been the start of a Coach and Carousel extravaganza this past week. I mean, it started months ago, really. But the Mark Stupes, Jimbo Fisher, Texas A. N. And Mike Elko fiasco on Saturday, I think was like a great moment that we'll talk about for a long time. But there's been a lot of new hires this past week. There's a lot of job openings. Right as we were starting to record this, Indiana hired Kurt Signetti from James Madison. Big get for them. I feel like paying a 40 million dollar buyout and hiring a winning head coach from James Madison, like Indiana, good move. They want to play football. They're invested.

[00:37:54]

They're ready to rock. They had that one COVID year and they.

[00:37:57]

Were like, We need a bag. They were like, We are high on our supply right now. Bloomington has never been funner. So good for them. And there's also a ton of names in the portal right now, which we already talked about this week. So whether you're watching the games or not, this weekend, there is a ton of shit happening, and.

[00:38:14]

It's great. It's so fun. But I'm rooting for chaos. You guys are rooting for chaos?

[00:38:19]

I'm rooting for Oregon, Georgia, in the national championship.

[00:38:22]

I would love that, even though, Bownicks cannot play against Georgia. Historically, just can't do it.

[00:38:28]

But Dan Lenning versus -Curby Smart. -oh, it's a.

[00:38:32]

Great story line. Yeah, they're such a.

[00:38:34]

-this is tough with Greek myth.

[00:38:35]

-maybe he's coming. -yeah, I think they'll get better. I'd love to see... My sneaky choice, I talked about this on the main show was, God, I would really love to see Michigan win the whole thing and then immediately have taken away.

[00:38:46]

No, we can't let them. They're the one team that doesn't deserve to have nice things. No, they'll get taken away. I don't know, because they'll still Lorded over all of our heads. What I want to see is this foot microphone taken away from.

[00:39:01]

My face. I can't tell you how glad I am I don't have one, and I'm sorry.

[00:39:06]

This was not a good choice.

[00:39:08]

We need HR.
