And this place is really neat. Yeah, there are so many things that a gladiator might see or wear a really long time ago. Oh. And since there are so many cool things here, I think you and I should play a game. Let's play I fly and see what we can see. Let's go. Whoa. There are so many old cool things here. Oh, like musical instruments. Whoa. Yeah, this is really cool. Old musical instrument. Yeah. And it's really nice that we got permission to touch things here at the museum. Yeah, make sure you always ask permission or you touch something. Whoa, check it out. This is awesome. Whoa. There's some armor and a bird. Cuckoo. Cuckoo. Whoa. Okay, let's play some more. Do you see something red with green leaves on it? Yeah, I see it too. Look, it's a flag that's red and it has green leaves and it has roman writing on it. Whoa. Yeah, look, there's a shield with green on it. Whoa. Check it out. Yeah, the shield is the color green, the color red, the color yellow and color blue. And it looks just like a shield that a roman soldier might carry. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. And this is really heavy. Wouldn't be heavy for a gladiator or a roman soldier because they were really strong. Let's play some more. I spy, I spy with my little eye a roman helmet with a red feather. Do you see something like that? Yeah, check it out. It's a roman helmet with a big red feather. Hey, I have an idea. Let's play dress up and try on what a real gladiator might wear. Let's go. Whoa, look at this place. It's where all the helmets and armor for the gladiator are kept.

Whoa. There's so many cool things here. Whoa, look. Yeah, the gladiators, they wore all kinds of things so that they were really protected. Like this belt. Whoa. Do you see it? Yeah. It's like a belt you might normally wear, but it's really, really tough. Oh, yeah. Put it on like this. Here we go. Buckle it up. This one has two buckles. Yeah. Just like you might normally wear a belt, but instead feel like a gladiator. Whoa. Look, there's all kinds of things here. Yeah. There's also this right here. Whoa. Yeah. Whoa, look, it's so bendy. Whoa. Yeah, it's all these little pieces of metal goes on your arm, so your arm stays nice and safe. But all this armor is really heavy. That's because gladiators were super strong. Whoa. I wonder what other kinds of things gladiators wore. Oh, look at this. This belt is really fuzzy. Whoa. Whoa. Feels kind of nice. Whoa. Do you see this? Yeah, look. Whoa. These protect your shins. Yeah. This part of your leg right here? Yeah. They would go on like this. So your legs are safe, you know, kind of reminds me when you play soccer or football.

Yeah. And you wear shin guards, you're kicking the ball around and staying nice and safe. Whoa. This is so cool. Feels like we went back in time when the gladiators were around. Whoa. And do you see what's behind me? Yeah. Gladiator helmets. These look cool. Let's count how many there are. Here we go. 1234-5678 910 and a lot more. Those are a lot of gladiator helmets. Yeah. There's so many different designs. Whoa, look at this one. Yeah. This one, where your eyes would go has lots of little circles. Whoa. So many. Whoa. Whoo. I like this one over here. This one is really, really heavy. Yeah. And look, it has really funny looking eyes. Kind of like a fly or some kind of bug. Yeah. Look where your eyes go. Kind of like the gladiator's glasses. It has circles and little diamond shapes and little triangle shapes. Whoa. Circles, diamonds, and triangles. I think we should try this helmet on. Okay. Time to be Philippi the gladiator. Okay. Whoa. Whoa, it's too small. Whoa. Whoa. Yeah, I think my head's a little too big for this one. That's pretty funny. Yeah. And do you notice?

Look what's on top. It looks like a little fin. Kind of like a dolphin. That's silly. Whoa. Do you see this helmet? Check it out. Whoa. Look at it. Whoa. This one looks like an animal. Do you know what kind of animal this looks like? I'll give you a hint. This animal has wings. Yeah. And it has a beak, and it has feathers. Whoa. Yeah. It kind of looks like a bird. Whoa. Yeah, these are some pretty cool feathers on this gladiator helmet. Okay, let's try this one on. Think this one's a little bit bigger. Okay. Uhoh. This one's small, too. Well, I bet we'll find one that's a good size. Whoa. You see what else is here? Check it out. Shields. Whoa. These are awesome. They're so different. Yeah, they have different colors and different shapes. Like this small circle. Well, so small. This one's pretty light. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Look at it go. Yeah, this is my favorite. Yeah, looks like a really fun shield. That's really pretty soft to hold and nice and light. Whoa. But look at this. These shields over here. Whoa. This one is a really big rectangle. Whoa.

And you see, it's the color yellow and the color blue. Whoa. Check it out. Kind of looks like a star. Whoa. A really big star up in the night sky. Well, this one's really colorful, but there are all kinds of shapes, too, like. Whoa. A really big oval. Whoa. But this green oval and checkered shield. This one, this one's really heavy. I'm going to put it down, I think here, we'll set it right over here. Well, I think we should find another helmet that's going to be the perfect fit. This one right here, we'll try one on until it fits perfectly. Okay. These look tricky. Okay, here we go. Whoa. I'm all dressed up for gladiator training. Just need to find a trainer. We should go with the two type of ropes. You should go down and after jump, and we have the sandbags and pole, you should go around and after the letters. And in the end, we are going to some training with the heavy wood.

Whoa. Well, that sounds like a lot to do and it sounds like a lot of fun. But do you think you could show me how to do those things?
