We wanted to do a little New Amsterdam exercise, a starting lineup of, let's say, intangibles that a basketball player can bring to a basketball team. And you could talk about yourself. This could be for any leader, though.

[00:00:12]

I would talk about myself. I like to think that at a point in my career, I wasn't a great leader. I had to learn how to be a good leader.

[00:00:18]

So what are five characteristics then?

[00:00:19]

For mine is honesty. I can't want honesty from you and I'm not being honest. A love for the game, ability to talk to Jake Crowder in Jake Crowder's language, an ability to talk to bees in his language, ability to talk to A. J. Green in his language.

[00:00:31]

Communication.

[00:00:32]

Yeah.

[00:00:33]

Honesty, love for the game, communication is- And give a fuck. Give a fuck.

[00:00:38]

I give a fuck about all my team that I ever played with. You care. I give a fuck.

[00:00:42]

What's your fifth one?

[00:00:44]

Coachable.

[00:00:45]

You listen.

[00:00:45]

Yeah. I can't tell you what to do. I ain't doing the same thing every single day. Every person that's on the staff and organization that's taking their time out of their life and putting it to you. You got to be coached by everybody.
