On the road, come here, watch game. I pull out to get off my ice. Oh, Swiss. Okay. Ron don't help. Kobe White been moving.

[00:03:05]

Did you know Kobe White was going to be having such a good season this season? I did.

[00:03:09]

My thing for Kobe has been, Can't even run the team? Those are the questions I asked when I was with the Bullets. I told him about his facial expressions. He played so hard. He played so much emotion that sometimes his facial expression can be read wrong. I told him, Make sure you got a good face because your team makes you go see that and they go go behind you with that. His body language has been much better. He's been having a hell of a season, so I'm so happy for him.

[00:03:38]

He was like a player that you would compare his game to or what the ceiling could be. He's different.

[00:03:44]

We joke about it. You think he's small, but he's actually 6'5.

[00:03:50]

You know what I'm saying?

[00:03:51]

He just have little arms, little T-rex. But he's actually 6'5, though. But now he's been getting done. I think he's been making a ton of three, shooting a ton of three. That's what happened for him. But yeah, I just got done gaming. I keep my game on me.

[00:04:07]

Can you tell me what we did last night?

[00:04:09]

What's up, Jay? This is Tom. Shit, I went to sleep. I don't know what you did last I was like, I don't know what you're talking about, Willis. Now, are you talking about the U Foundation? Yeah. You're talking about when we got real dressed up in smiffy. You said when we came in with You said we bought some stuff at the auction. You're talking about when we took a bunch of pictures, signed a bunch of autographs, showed a bunch of love, got a lot of love shown us. You're telling me when we met Allen Irison. The Allen Irison. You're telling me when we met Dr. Jay. The Dr. J. You're talking about that last night? College? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, that was a cool little money. That was cool. You got a chance to give away. I've never been to an auction like that, so that was fun. Got a chance to buy some I think I got a steal.

[00:05:01]

I was going to say, what did you guys hit on that? I got a Novo Hotel in Miami that's 2,000 a day.

[00:05:07]

I got it for four days for $4,000 total. I look at it as an investment. It's a lick. It hit a lick quick. I like it.

[00:05:17]

That'll be the perfect gift for a hard-working producer.

[00:05:20]

That's what I'm saying, but look at the hair. How's the body feeling? Body's feeling like a Chevy right now, but tomorrow is going to feel like Lamborghini. I got a little deep tissue. I got some needle in the end of the day, so I'm sore. You know what I'm saying? That's why I'm kicked up, not moving a lot. But tomorrow, zing, zing. And I ain't talking about Vroom, neither did. Okay, say that, say that, say that. Shout out to the sponsor's Vroom. For real.

[00:05:52]

Oh, my God, man. The show was so funny, man. That was one of a car, man. That's my guy, man. He doing great work, him and Ron. [00:06:15]

[00:06:17]

Oh, it's Bob, man. He had a security for the 76ers, man. Guys out in the trenches with the fellows, making sure my guys are safe, and making sure they got no issues. You got a problem with them. Got a problem with me.

[00:06:40]

Not at all. Soon enough. Once we get back to Philly.

[00:06:47]

The 26 and 13 Sixers are down in Orlando taking on the magic.

[00:06:54]

We sit at 22 and 19.

[00:06:59]

We got a license for that. We got a license for that. We got a license for that. It's illegal in the loudest case. It's illegal in the loudest case. How's it?

[00:07:44]

You talk to me.

[00:07:45]

You know what's going on. You're up to ask to her. We just finished in Orlando. I told you it was going to happen. You all didn't believe me. And I'm blocking shit. Call me Matumbo.

[00:07:57]

That block was hard to fuck.

[00:08:00]

I called What are you talking about? You like the fit? You fuck with the fit? Of course. Rockstar Lifestyle might not make it. No, I like the shirt. Okay.

[00:08:08]

I thought that we finally started rebounding a little better. I thought Kelly came flying in for a couple. I thought Marcus Morris came, got to grab a couple of tough ones. Pat Bev had a couple of tough ones. That was really the key. We just didn't seem to be able to keep him off the glass for long stretches tonight, but that made the difference. We were pretty satisfied with the shots that we were allowing, but we weren't keeping them off the glass of the leg. Those three guys did a good job. Kelly just did it with athleticism. Marcus and Pat just did it with some toughness.

[00:08:42]

Pat mentioned after the Denver game that he reached out to you and expressed that he could put in some more minutes. Tonight, you put in quite a few. What was your response to his request?

[00:08:53]

How has it worked out?

[00:08:54]

Well, that was a text message. I think you probably saw that. It was on something that I actually saw it. I see nothing, and I actually saw it. And I text back, Okay. That was my response.

[00:09:09]

Hey, Wendell. Game ended about 30 minutes ago. 25 minutes ago, Pat have tweeted, Belt to ask. Obviously, he's talked about you guys in the past. Is that something that pisses you guys off? Do you guys not pay attention to it? How does that- To be quite honest with you, no one's really worried about Patrick.

[00:09:31]

Five-point game. I don't understand how he affected the game, but that's what he does. He's trying to get us to buy into his online antics. He's just doing a lot right now. I guess that's his angle he's trying to take now. He's at towards the end of his career. Kudos to him. I guess he did a good job today.

[00:09:53]

Thank you, Dale. Thanks, Wanda. I appreciate it. Let's go to the Wendell Carter question. You all go play that, right? His response was... What?

[00:10:12]

He was like, we can play I'll be honest, ain't nobody worrying about that. Five points, I don't know how you impact your thing.

[00:10:21]

Right. I think Wendell Carter made a statement about five points impact winning, and that's the problem right there. Losing Losing mentality. Losing mentality. I think I was the highest plus minus off the bench. I think I led the team in blocks. Steels at six dimes, I think Four assists. Youngfathers, the game isn't all about points, man. I think you had 25 and lost. You're the leading scorer off the bench on your team, but you lost. Who had a better game? Would you take the five, six, and four, two blocks in the steal and a dub, a convincing dub, eight, up, 15, 16, or the 25 with a loss? Mr. Carter. But I ain't really known him for being in playoff games either. So a person like that should say something like that because they haven't been part of winning in their career. So in his mind, when he thinks, Oh, a bunch of points of points, points, points. In my mind, I think impacting the game, doing everything, we win. He came off the bench, I came off the bench. He led the team in scoring, I didn't. We won. You tell me, Mr. Carter, what number would you have with a win?

[00:11:41]

How do you think affecting the game, output, or impacting the game really is? Because in my book, it's not points, but I guess everyone has different senseis and different teachers growing up. My teacher, it's all about the win, no matter the points.

[00:11:58]

[00:19:37]

Oh, travel. We shoveled the suit before he began his drive. This game was tied at the end of the race, Philadelphia 76 their- Thirteen house. Here's the start of fourth Ward. If you remember me, close. We're coming back here. We're coming back here. We're still happy. Just to work. Crunch down, coming your way at 9:30. Taking to a rally. This right there on top. Reva, rolling it down, given it a third. The lead on the witzers of Washington following that. They start to ask the nurse to be in police, but you all the beat back in the game. They were playing better when he was on the floor.

[00:20:18]

I'm about to get an Uber. You have anything to say to the camera? Hey, man.

[00:20:22]

I appreciate you all stepping me on this road trip. Man, I wish I would have played tonight with my boys. I think we got to deal. But, man, you all stay tuned. Next road trip will be better, longer, more teams. We out of here. Man, I feel like that shit hit me, bro. I got to be out of bed. You feel weak? You feel weak still? Yeah.

[00:20:43]

So you definitely got a flu bug, bro. Honestly, we might have to... Did Chef give you a COVID test?

[00:20:52]

No.

[00:20:53]

So we might have to test for that, too, because those are symptoms of COVID, too. So So between COVID and RSVP, or RSVP, that's what it sounds like, and the flu. It sounds like one of those three, to be honest with you. I'm going to say flu because COVID is a whole different monster, and I think you would be a lot weaker. So I think you just got a bad flu bug, but we need to just test just in case. You know what I'm saying? So I would just say- I'm trying to see what's going to be the vibe for tomorrow, if I'm going to suit up or not. I would test it in the morning, I wouldn't even test it tonight. Go ahead and get you some more rest, get your fluids up, get you something to eat, kick your feet up, and then in the morning, go to optional shoot around, do 10, 15 minutes, see how you feel, and that's a game-time decision right there. Because if you go and shoot and then you feel worse, you're going to be upset as yourself.

[00:21:50]

I know, but I can't be off for two days and not do nothing, and then come try to hook me.

[00:21:54]

Okay, so you want to just go in and shoot some free throws, dribble through some I'm going to go handle it and see how you feel, and just be honest. If it don't feel better, just shut it down. All right.

[00:22:04]

No option of shit. Just shut it down. Right.

[00:22:07]

Just shut it down. All right. Just shut it down.

[00:22:08]

All right. I'm going to see how it feel. I'm free though. Imagine I go use that. Don't let me in. I find that I'm traded. I'm so motherfucking weak. I can't even laugh. Imagine, though. Running through this motherfuck game. That's a hell of a view right there.

[00:22:43]

Yeah, it is.

[00:23:16]

Man, I feel it like in my neck, like chill.

[00:23:22]

Bro, that's the worst thing. When you put it in your neck, that's when you know you're going to be sick.

[00:23:26]

That's good. That's what I meant. In the back of the head, coming up, and here.

[00:23:30]

100 %. If you want to go 100 %. Scoring the franchise record of 70 points. Thanks to knowledge, the player of the game, Juelz.

[00:23:49]

You're going to hear this noise, that's your boy. I can hear you, Zuleil. This one's real special tonight. Who is it? Let me get you some rolling. Let me get you. There you are, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you so much, my son.

[00:24:27]

Big night in the NBA. Joel Embiid He scores 70 points. Oh, that's a lot of points. What was going through your head during the game? Where did you watch it? Did you think he could do it? At what point during the game did you know you were seeing history?

[00:24:43]

So that's a great fucking question, Ron. So I'm sitting here right where I'm sitting right now. I haven't moved from this spot. I'm sitting right here where I'm sitting at, and I'm looking at the first quarter. Sorry. I'm looking at the first quarter. I'm like, he got 20 and some change in the first. He keeps this up, man. He might have 100. But then I said, Yeah, 45 at half. So I'm like, I know he going to get 50. But I thought it was one of those games where you get 50, 55. You know you guys win by 18. But the game was like, they kept playing hard. Obviously, San Antonio will play hard. You had to put Joe back in. And then the game got back competitive again. 11, 10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 10. So you obviously had to keep your guys in there. And damn, 70. Seventy. That's fucking impressive. That's a lot of points. That's a lot of buckets, man. That's a lot of buckets. But we spoke on it, I don't know, a couple of episodes ago, we spoke about Joe L. M. B. Having the single best season the NBA players ever had.

[00:26:03]

I mean, this is a part of it. I mean, it has to be. It has to be. It really has to be. I mean, I think he hit one three, all midis, free throws. I told him, a shot with 21-23. Okay, hold up. Hey, baby, I'm recording a pod. I'm sorry. I saw your... I think it's fine right now. I'm going to go down on a point. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm not going to say it for you. I love you too. Everyone's checking on me, man. It's been that type of day. A lot of love, a lot of flowers, a lot of tea. Shout out to my chef, man. Getting me right through this whole process, speeding up the process because I don't take medicine. I'm not a medicine type of guy. I don't take medicine. So I go through the fluid thing. I just drink a lot of fluid, try to get a lot of fresh air, some sunshine, because I don't really do medicine for guys who feel under weather. You feel like you need to... I don't do none of that. So hitting me a little harder, but the bounce back angle be stronger.

[00:27:38]

But, yeah, back to you, Ron. When I'm watching a game, bro, and I'm like, He might be the only person I think that could score 100. Obviously, when you hear Will score 100, you're like, Man, let me see the box score. People don't have a box score. No one has a film. So you're like, Did he score 100? But after seeing what Joel and B did last night, yeah, it's very possible a person will score 100. Very, very possible. It was just literally just bigger than just everybody else. You know what I'm saying? I think that game, Will played the whole game. So I'm like, If Joe played the whole game, he'd fuck around and beat the record. On that pace, if he played 48 minutes, he'd fuck around and beat the record. Unbelievable. Unbelievable game. Unbelievable display of greatness. I told one of our rookies today, Tee, I told Hey, man, you witnessed a man score 70 yesterday. He like, Man, yeah, man, that shit was crazy. That shit was easy. I was like, Yeah, I've been in the league 12 years, professionally, I don't know, whatever, 16, 15. I've never seen that. Still hasn't.

[00:28:48]

I still haven't seen a man score 70, so you beat me to that, bro. He damn. Yeah, that's why you got to be present in this league, right? I've seen somebody score 62. I ain't never witnessed no 70. Never witnessed a 70. So that put things in perspective right there. So that was a great question, Ron.

[00:29:05]

So not only did Embiid score 70 points, but he also had a career high in rebound and had some dazzling assists. He had career high in rebound? He seemed like his game is progressing at a crazy rate and 70 points, amazing. He had career high in rebound? But is it possible that we haven't even seen Embiid's peak yet this season?

[00:29:24]

Fat check then. It has to be more rebounds. No, no, no. That's not how it's going to happen. It can't be. Is his highest?

[00:29:32]

He's supposed to be three high, both points and rebounds. Is it up at the 70 and 18?

[00:29:38]

70 and 18. Five dimes. Five dimes. 70 looked so light, I think he can do it again. It didn't look like a... Trust me, you're talking to a motherfucker, my career high, 26. So what the fuck I know about even scoring 30? But for him, it didn't look like it was drained. He only made one three. Imagine he make seven threes. I mean, 100 and something. But we've already seen Joe score a ton of points, obviously, before I even got here. He's one of the toughest guys to game plan for. I mean, I play with different teams, and each team I play with, we've had a different defensive scheme for Joe. We trapped him before he called it. We trapped him off the dribble. We fronted We didn't let him catch it. We got it out of his hand. We played boxing one. We played boxing two. We done did everything. He's one of the few motherfuckers that you cannot game plan for. I'm trying to see if I'm San Antonio. There's no way I'm sitting in the house. I'm sending a house. But you can't. They tried to send three guys, and they tried.

[00:30:54]

But it was crazy. Part is he had 70 when Mianna had 30. Feel me? But the 70 was so powerful, you forgot about the 33 on minute restriction. So I don't know, man. That's a good one. That game will be played over and over. I mean, that was greatness in that game. Pop, Obviously, Nurse, Rooky with Minyana, Joe, Maxi. You know what I'm saying? So that was a good one.

[00:31:25]

Hey, guys. Let's take a second from this show to talk about the new Amsterdam Vodka. Not that old Amsterdam that everybody was freaking going to back in the day. No, I'm talking about New Amsterdam Vodka, New Amsterdam Vodka, born from an uncompromising passion for great vodka. New Amsterdam Vodka. There's something about the distilling process. There's something about the ingredients. There's something about the love, care, and tenderness that they put into every single bottle of New Amsterdam Vodka that keeps me coming back for more. At the same time, it keeps New Amsterdam coming to the pat, pat, pat because New Amsterdam Vodka is the The official vodka of Barstool Sports, the official vodka of the Pat-Pet pot, and it's the official vodka of yours truly, Adam Frone. Man, do I love that stuff. Weekend plans. I got my cousins coming over, and I know that I'm about to treat them to some martinis. Dirty, extra dirty. Maybe some blue cheese stuffed olive in a coupe glass. Not the DeVille, but just a coupe glass, and some delicious new Amsterdam vodka because they're built from an uncompromising passion for great Vaca. And like I said, it's the official Vaca of Barstool Sports.

You can find your wins today with New Amsterdam Vaca. Now, let's get back to this riveting show we have. You know what I mean? The NBA introduced a new bullshit rule this year saying that you need to play 65 games during the season to be eligible for the MVP and All-MBA Awards.

[00:32:57]

First off, you can't say a bullshit rule. Come on, put some respect on the NBA. Keep going, though.

[00:33:01]

Now, let's just say that NBA plays 64 games this season. How much of an injustice would it be that a guy playing this well wouldn't even be eligible to be voted to be the MVP? And the fact that all NBA teams play into a max contract, do you think that it's fair that the NBA can influence how much money a guy is making just because he gets a a little bit nicked up through an otherwise very healthy season?

[00:33:35]

Well, so I'm going to answer it both ways, right? So your questions have been great this far. This one's a little bit tricky. I'm going to answer this two ways. Obviously, I have to go political, and then obviously, I have to give my motherfucking answer, right? The politically correct answer is, it's a collective to bargain an agreement. Association players and NBA came up and agreed to this. I wasn't that to be. My answer. I liked it the way it was. I mean, everyone who's got an MVP these past couple of years should have got MVP. Obviously, you can argue about some guys, but I don't think it was the wrong guy ever getting it. So I like the way it was. Obviously, we knock on wood. We want everyone to be healthy and all that. But NBA season is gruesome with travel and 82 games, with preseason and play also. The NBA season is a gruesome season. That's why it's important that you hydrate, you get your rest, you take care of your bodies there. All that stuff is the most important. But it's just Fucked up. It really is. Because if you play 64...

[00:35:04]

I mean, he's having the seasons he's having. If that's anyone having that type of season and you come up a game short, You can't get MVP. I mean, I don't know. Like I said, I wasn't at the meeting. I don't like that, but that's just my opinion. That's all.

[00:35:29]

Let's get the rest of the lead. Kat also had an incredible night, 62 points, and he shot the shit out of the ball. It was like 10 for 15 from three. Really impressive performance, unless you're Chris Finch, who said that it was a disgusting performance on defense and showed immature basketball. So what do you think the difference between Embiid's 70-point night and Kat's 62-point night? Obviously, the win, obviously eight points. But do you think that one was? What do you think the difference was?

[00:36:07]

After our game, I can see what else game on, Minnesota on. Katz got 60, 62. But mind you, I'm in Minnesota with Cat gave Pop 60. I was a part of the the Pop 60, and I was a part of the MB 70, but I wasn't at that MB game. I was at that pop game, though. Yeah, man. I was at that pop game. You're talking about 60 and 70 points. Come on, man. Hold on, folks. Hold on. So I was a part of Joe, 70 against pop, and Cat, 60 against pop. So, man, NBA been lit. I mean, it was the night of Kobe 181. I like where the league is going, but you got to think, I think KD had 49. Guys are putting it up. So it was a great night for the NBA. Great night for the NBA. Great night for the Sixers. Great night for Joel I'm being beat also. But it was done. It's different. You score 60, 70, and you win, and you lose. You feel me? But you score 62 and lose, that's not a good look. It looked like you jacking a little bit. You feel But again, shit, if I had 26, I'm going to try to score 30, and that was my career.

[00:37:37]

So I'm not in a position to say shit. If I'm going for 70, I'm going to go get that Sevi. I don't care how I look, but in the means of the game, too. I like to respect the game, too. So it's each its own, though. Obviously, as a coach, a guy scores like that, you're supposed to win the game, supposed to be dominant in the game. So Finchy statements after the game were accurate. But I don't think Mike Conley played that game either. So that's a ton of maturity right there. They're a different team without that veteran leadership. But this is also a learning lesson. Also a learning lesson. So they've been playing well all season. In this league, everyone practices every day. Everyone works. So you can lose anybody any given day. That's why it's always important to take care of business.

[00:38:26]

At your protoges, Shane Gildas, Alexander, and Ent Edwards are having a little bit of beef, a little bit of Kbe, and I'm not talking about bean, a little bit of wagyu, if you know what I mean. There's a little bit of a back and forth going on between the two of them. Ent was saying that Shay gets a lot of calls after they had a heated exchange during the game, after the fact Shay was saying in Instagram captions that they know him for his postgame, not his postgame, which is Let's give him credit there. Who do you think is in the right in this situation? And more importantly, on a grander scale, do you think that their little tetatet, their back and forth, is good for the league? Is it good for basketball to have two young stars basically sparring with one another. A war of the worlds.

[00:39:18]

A war of the words. Would they say beef? I wouldn't call it beef. Competition. Compete. Competitiveness. Go at each other. I think the NBA is in really good hands. I'm going to say that first. I'm going to say the NBA is in really good hands. Which comes from veteran leadership, too. I think of Shay. Shay had me. Chris Paul, you know what I'm saying? Mike Conley. You know what I'm saying? A little bit of Pat Biv, a little bit of Lou Will. Those guys have some good vets around them, too. So the NBA is in really good hands. I like it. Go at each other. Guard each other. Shoot stepbacks on each other. Yank each other. Right, left, each other. Yeah. Lay each other. Dunk each other. I love that shit. Keep doing that. Talk shit to each other. Compete. Go at each other. Guard each other every night. That's what we want to see. Both know I love you all to death. I want to see it all. I want to see you all go crazy at each other. Every time you all see each other, it's smoked. Not from no other reason, but just pure basketball.

[00:40:42]

I want to see it. Can't wait to see it. Enjoy seeing it. Enjoy seeing it. Enjoy seeing Steph. Enjoy seeing Shay comments out of the game. Let me see what Shay go rap about now. I enjoy seeing that shit. I enjoy seeing Anthony was in At the presser. Little smile on his face, little baby face smile. I love to see that shit, man. I'm talking about how he just cook somebody, can't nobody guard him. I love to see it. Keep going. Keep pushing the needle. You all boys cold. But when you all see each other, let it be smoke. Let it be pure basketball fun. Give each other 40, 50 a piece, hug, and can't wait to see you next time type of vibe. I love that vibe. Nba is in really good hands. Top five, Shotmakers. When I say Shotmakers, I'm talking about get I'm going to get you a bucket in the NBA right now. One, I'm going Steph Curry. At that size, that weight, impressive. And still to be doing it this long as I'm going to be impressive. Steph Curry. And I'm not ranking them one by five. I'm just going my five.

[00:41:49]

I'm going Steph. I'm going Joel Embiid. I'm going Kevin Durant. I'm going Kawhi. And I'm going, Am I had my five hard. But he going to be breaking all the records 10 years from now. I got to go, Luca. Shot makers. Give me a bucket. Give me a bucket. Those are my top five. What is yours? Let me know. Let the pod know.
