Good morning, millennials.

[00:00:02]

Welcome back to The Toast. And happy Thursday, real Thursday. Not fake Thursday. Yesterday, fake fucking news. I started the show, happy Thursday, and everybody was like, Oh my God, yay. Wait, what? I ruined millions of days yesterday.

[00:00:13]

Yesterday- Yesterday was a drill. Today is the real thing.

[00:00:16]

It was a drill.

[00:00:18]

You got to spin the narrative, Terni. You didn't mess up. You were getting us ready.

[00:00:21]

Jackie, I'm merely a storyteller, okay?

[00:00:24]

Spin the narrative. She was getting us ready for Thursday, and now I feel amply prepared and even more excited than it's Thursday than I would have been if I didn't think that yesterday was Thursday.

[00:00:33]

Oh my God, you're wearing my sweater.

[00:00:35]

I am wearing your sweater. It looks great on you. Because I missed you. The thing about this sweater is I love this sweater, Fendi Skims. Great collection, great sweater. I love it in person. It has yet to look good on the show. The one time I wore it on the show, I was pregnant, but I looked so big.

[00:00:55]

The sweater is enormous. I remember when Fendi X Skims dropped, I was panicked on the website. I knew that it was going to be size inclusive. I was like, Fuck, yes. I went on the website and I was so panicked, and I knew I wanted this cardigan, and it was in fucking European sizing, 42. I'm like, What is that? I just bought it because I'm like, Better too big than too small. It was enormous. Even when I was much heavier, it was still really big on me.

[00:01:18]

In person, it's cute and oversized and cuddly and warm. My house is just so cold today, but I just know on the show, I'm going to regret it. But I had to make a choice, and this is a choice I made, and I'm sticking with it.

[00:01:30]

You're wearing designer items as am I. I am wearing the pink toast crew neck set. This is the last remaining item from our recent drop that's still available on the website. Yeah, that's right. Everything else sold out. I can't believe this is still available. It's my favorite one. It's this gorgeous millennial pink crew. Very subdued. The pants have pockets. They've got an electric. What is it? Elastic waistband. I'm wearing a size medium. You hookers can never shop toastmerch. Com.

[00:01:53]

I feel like every time we do a merch drop, people are like, Love this, but can we just get some branded regular degular merch so we can rock the toast.

[00:02:01]

Rock the stage at Arrowhead.

[00:02:03]

Rock the stage at Arrowhead. They're asking for a low-key classic toast merch, and that's exactly what this set is. For all of you girlies who have just been wanting to subliminally support the toast, nothing crazy but super cute. Wait, by the way. This is a set for you.

[00:02:17]

I need to say this out loud because I will forget to tell you afterwards. For our next merch shop, seriously, write this down. Next merch shop that we do that's more just classic logo stuff, it's going to be called the Low Key Classic Collection. I just thought of that.

[00:02:28]

Thank you.

[00:02:29]

Write Yeah, that's great. I love that. We have it written down.

[00:02:34]

We need to just write down more stuff.

[00:02:36]

Oh my God. It's so funny. Yesterday, I was here all day at 5:00 PM. Taylor Strecker came because we recorded her podcast, and we had so many funny things we wanted to share. We literally just kept going on tangents and not finishing. I actually got a pen and paper and wrote down the things I wanted to say because I never would have gotten to it.

[00:02:52]

No, all the time I'm thinking about stuff that I want to write down or thinking about things that I need, so much so that I'm thinking about getting an Alexa so I could just talk to someone and be like, Alexa, write that down. Love. But I'm not an Alexa. I don't know if this is going to surprise anyone. I'm not an Alexa girl.

[00:03:06]

It's not going to. Why? Because she listens to.

[00:03:07]

It's not going to surprise anyone that I don't want a piece of technology in my house whose job it is to listen to me.

[00:03:14]

I'm not going to lie. I have often felt like Alexa was definitely a bad faith actor. Alexa is a bad faith actress. Yeah, however, Alexa, what's the weather? Changes my day. It's the greatest thing on the planet.

[00:03:27]

Or if I'm in the middle of changing a diaper and we're singing I could be like, Alexa, play wheels on the bus. All of a sudden, it's bussing in here. Bus.

[00:03:35]

It's wheels on the bussing.

[00:03:35]

On the bussing.

[00:03:37]

Also, if you're cooking and the recipe is three half a teaspoon, and you're like, How many liters is a teaspoon? She's good at math, too. She has her merits. No.

[00:03:47]

I, all the time am yearning for an Alexa. I just have to wait until that yearning gets to be more powerful than my Alexa- Skepticism. Fears. I'm afraid of her.

[00:04:02]

Fears. Now, of all the girlies, Siri, Alexa, who do you feel safest with? Because I feel as though Siri is the most useless bitch on the planet. I've never leaned on Siri in a meaningful way, and she's never really been there for me in a meaningful way. Alexa, say what you want about her. She has been there for me countless times.

[00:04:21]

I do think if I had to choose a bad faith actress in my home, it would be Alexa. The other one is Google Home, but that one, she doesn't have a personality. I don't know her name. She's like, Google Home, can you wipe my ass?

[00:04:32]

She doesn't have a brand. I don't know her name.

[00:04:34]

But then you have to think about the people... You could go with any of these companies, Apple, Jeff Bezos, Google. It's like, who do you want to be in your home with you. And I think of the three, I would go Jeff. Just because Lauren is warming me up to him, I'm not going to lie.

[00:04:51]

Also, what I like about the Alexa, and I'm about to set off everyone's Alexa, but for a good reason, okay? Alexa, tip my driver. And it'll send a $5 tip to the person who delivered your last Amazon package, as it should.

[00:05:08]

That's really nice. They did that around the holidays, too.

[00:05:10]

And by the way, sorry, you don't have to pay for it. It's on Amazon's time.

[00:05:13]

They did that around the holidays. You could tip yourDriver. Thank you by driver.

[00:05:15]

Thank my driver, yeah.

[00:05:16]

I feel like they should have that more often. You should be able to do a custom amount if you want to pay for it.

[00:05:21]

Well, yes, of course. But Amazon's a billion dollar company. Why should I pay for it?

[00:05:25]

Yeah, but if you wanted to do more than the $5. Yeah. Maybe you've got a really great driver goes above and beyond.

[00:05:34]

I'm always seeing ring camera footage of drivers going above and beyond.

[00:05:36]

Above and beyond the Call of Duty. There are people whose kids love the delivery trucks, and they let them mess around. You know what I mean? Above and beyond the Call of Duty.

[00:05:45]

Today is such a special day because it finally is Thursday, which is just such a blessing. I don't want to understate that. But it's also the day after the Love is Blind weddings episode. We both watched it. We are going to do a full recap. Should we say that for the end?

[00:05:58]

Of course.

[00:05:59]

We'll do the fast five and then the Lib, the Lib recap, the Lib Tard, the Lib Bro, the Lib recap, which honestly, I have so many thoughts. I feel like the name on everybody's lips is Lib.

[00:06:13]

Yeah, even though The last episode of the season is always just the worst, most boring episode. What's so funny is last night, I went to watch with Zack. The couples came on. I was like, Okay, time to fast forward. He was like, Okay, Claudia. I was like, Oh, that's so funny that you know her so well that, yes, she would do that. And then this morning, I saw you're real.

[00:06:31]

I, seriously, I maybe watched 35 seconds of the episode.

[00:06:34]

No, it was honestly perfect for me because we went out to dinner last night. I go out. Yeah.

[00:06:40]

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:06:42]

And we didn't get to start watching until 10:45, maybe. It was beautiful because we were done by 11:20.

[00:06:50]

I had the longest day. I'm like, Honestly, I don't even really want to watch this piece of shit. I hate these couples. Then I was like, Wait a minute. I was asleep by 9:45.

[00:06:59]

Because all the other Love is Blind days have been three episodes. When I saw it was just one episode, it's the weddings, which they make a meal out of.

[00:07:05]

Even when they drop three episodes, you really do want to watch every minute of every episode.

[00:07:10]

Oh, yeah. There's a lot going on, but this wasn't that. So it was good. A lot that you could fast forward through But we got the gist and we got our answers.

[00:07:16]

So we will discuss that at the end of the episode. And before that, we've got the fast five, the Juicy News of the Day. Oh, speaking of News of the Day, media darling over here. I don't know if you notice, I'm wearing eyeliner. I've been up since the crack of dawn. I went to Good Day, New York. Just for a little press moment, talk about my new special Lean In available on Prime Video in the US and Canada. It was just fabulous. I don't know if you saw Jack, you were on TV. They showed some of our clips.

[00:07:42]

They showed our artwork. I did see. I was watching you. It's so crazy as I went to Turn It On this morning. I'm like, I don't think I get Good Day New York. I probably get Good Day Florida.

[00:07:49]

You do. It's the classic local news here in New York.

[00:07:53]

Right, because you're in New York. I'm like, Oh, my gosh. I don't know if I can watch my girls. So I went to the-How did you watch it? I went to the livestream online. It was beautiful. Fantastic. I put up on my computer while I did my makeup. I had a great time. And? My girl was fabulous. Slayed, per usual, bouncing off the walls with joy and effervescence, bringing everyone into her warm cacophony of love and humor.

[00:08:17]

Okay, thank you.

[00:08:19]

Also, I have three words to say.

[00:08:21]

Let me think.

[00:08:23]

You're not going to guess.

[00:08:24]

Okay, what?

[00:08:25]

I am Kirt.

[00:08:27]

You are Kurt.

[00:08:29]

Kurt is me.

[00:08:30]

Kirt is you. Good luck getting a word in. Kirt. You are Kirt. Pjam Energy, Rosanna's co-host, but it was really me and Rosanna. I know Rosanna personally for many years, so we just really connected.

[00:08:42]

No, Kirt was giving Jacky O when there's a guest on the show.

[00:08:46]

Honestly, me and you being the Kurt and Rosanna of- Of podcasting. When we're 60, so down.

[00:08:54]

So down. I feel like we're always looking for analogous hosts, and we We can add those to our repertoire. We are also the Mike and Tony- Of course. Of sports.

[00:09:05]

Are we the Hoda and Jenna?

[00:09:08]

Are we the Hoda and Jenna? Honestly, yeah, you're the Hoda, I'm the Jenna.

[00:09:13]

Yeah, except that We're really the Hoda and Cathy. They were the OG partnership.

[00:09:18]

That's true, and I'm so the Cathy.

[00:09:20]

Oh, really? I think I'm so the Cathy. In that situation, you're so the Hoda.

[00:09:24]

I feel like Hoda is just so personable and bubbly and just It brings everyone into her warm fold. I don't really know Cathy.

[00:09:33]

Okay, by the way, Cathy's the drunkard. I'm Cathy. When it's Hoda and Cathy, I'm Cathy, you're Hoda. When it's Hoda and Jenna, I'm Hoda, you're Jenna. Like, literary queen, buttoned up, first lady energy.

[00:09:44]

First daughter energy.

[00:09:46]

You were meant to be first daughter. I could see that for you.

[00:09:51]

I would take it seriously.

[00:09:52]

Then writing a memoir about your time in the house, memoirs from the White House.

[00:09:56]

Yeah.

[00:09:57]

I could definitely see that.

[00:09:59]

But it just depends on what age you become first daughter. What do you think is the best age to be first daughter?

[00:10:04]

It's probably one of the most important questions you've ever asked me.

[00:10:08]

Because it's such an interesting position because it's not like being a royal that you are your whole life and you get to enjoy the perks along the way. I feel like there's so many different stages. When you're eight years old, when the Obamas were first daughters, they had the Jonas Brothers come to the White House. How fun is that?

[00:10:20]

Yeah, but I do think Malia and Sasha were really young, and they had eight years. I feel like those were really, really formative years. You want to be as normal. It's fun Jonas Brothers.

[00:10:31]

No, those aren't the years I would choose. I'm just saying, that's fun. Me neither.

[00:10:35]

It is, but I think those are years that are too important to your development.

[00:10:40]

Agreed. Then you could be the Bush girls who were in their teens, and it's like, we're in the White House, we're sneaking out of the White House.

[00:10:47]

I'm going Bush girls because I feel like in a weird way, if you're a little bit older and you're a first daughter, you do become a socialite. If you're living in the White House at the time, I feel like some people... Joe Biden has kids, and they're 30. They They don't live in the house.

[00:11:01]

They're older than that, but yeah. They don't live with their parents.

[00:11:05]

Exactly. They still lived with their parents. But they're old enough to become interesting, and they're blossoming into young women. I feel like you get a lot of attention. That's years where you want attention, I feel like the Bush girls, what were they, 16 and 17?

[00:11:19]

Yeah, probably at one point. That's fun, but that's also the age where you make mistakes, and then you have this huge spotlight on you. It's like, maybe I want to wait until my frontal lobe is fully formed and I'm 25 and I can- But then you're not a real first daughter. You're not living in the house. You're not living in the house. And if you are living with your parents, you should- You're sad. You should look at that.

[00:11:36]

Work on that. Of all the privilege you have, you're living at home.

[00:11:40]

Strive to get out.

[00:11:41]

So I think I would go the Bush girls in terms of age. I would love to hear from Jenna about it.

[00:11:47]

I feel like she probably talks about it a lot because she talks a lot for a living.

[00:11:50]

Yes, she talks a lot about her family.

[00:11:52]

Yeah. So maybe she's probably said this somewhere, and you just haven't listening.

[00:11:56]

Definitely not. Also, she seems well adjusted.

[00:12:00]

Extremely, and successful on her own merits. When I think of her, I don't think of First Daught or First. I think of Read with Jenna.

[00:12:10]

That's what you think of First.

[00:12:12]

Yeah. I know most people probably think Today's show, but Read with Jenna is just more pertinent to my everyday life. Speaking of which, the new episode of the Redheads dropped today. As it fucking should. I actually think our book, The frozen River by Ariel Lawhan, was a GMA book, not Read with Jenna, but GMA Book Club book.

[00:12:29]

We recently read a book that was a Jenna's choice, and so you're like, Oh, it's probably not horrible.

[00:12:33]

She has solid choices. I would say of the celebrity book clubs, if you were to say which one has the most winners, I would say Read with Jenna has the best.

[00:12:41]

That is a very hot take. That's a big statement.

[00:12:44]

It is a It's a good statement. And I really feel that way. Anytime we choose a book that's been a Read with Jenna book, I feel really good about it.

[00:12:50]

Yeah. I don't love Reese's book choices, but I feel like maybe I just don't have similar interests as Reese.

[00:12:55]

I don't love Reese's book choices. But I feel like there's a lot, politically, that goes into Reese's Book Club. There's a lot of things she's trying to do. On the back end. A lot of different cooks in the kitchen. I think she really always wants to platform new authors. I feel like sometimes the book itself gets lost in what she's trying to put behind it.

[00:13:15]

Yeah. Then also, if something catches fire because of Reese, she wants to be the one to monopolize if it becomes a TV show or a movie, so she needs to make sure she has the rights. The production company, Hello Sunshine, 1,000%.

[00:13:25]

Yeah. Sometimes the book we're actually reading is not the best Book of the Month. I would say.

[00:13:33]

I would say that we should dive in because we have lots to do today, and I'm just itching to get to Love Is Blind. Tell me about the stories. Describe them in three words.

[00:13:41]

I don't know if I can stick to three, but I had a thought about the stories this week, which is that every day there's so many stories, and they're all really good. I feel like today, it's like there's five stories that are all really solid, but there's probably five more out there that could have been the five.

[00:13:52]

They're not newsmaking, ground-breaking, but they're titulating.

[00:13:57]

Yeah, but there's other titilating things out there. People might be like, Why don't I'm not going to talk about blah, blah, blah? Just because we could have if I woke up on a different side of the bed. You know what I mean? A thousand %. Without further a did it, did it do, here are the fast five stories that you need to know.

[00:18:46]

You're welcome.

[00:18:47]

Our first story, some Dakota Johnson news, two-fold. One, her and Chris Martin are engaged after six years of dating with Glewyneth's blessing, reportedly. Of course. Coldplay A lead vocalist, Chris Martin, asked Dakota Johnson for her hand in marriage a while ago. According to the mirror, they have been besotted with each other from day one, so taking this next step was inevitable, a source said. They are in no rush to plan the wedding, but are just enjoying making their commitment official.

[00:19:16]

I love them as a couple. I love the whole co-parenting Gwyneth element of it. I think it's fabulous. I happen to think Dakota Johnson is one of the most fabulous people on the planet. She's so chic, she's so effortless. She doesn't even have to work because she's like a neppo baby. She's so gorgeous. To every red carpet she slays. But I'm so glad you brought her up because I've been meaning to bring this up on the toast.

[00:19:37]

Okay.

[00:19:37]

Madame Webb?

[00:19:39]

Yeah, that was the second part of the story. She is in a new movie called Madame Webb that is getting just a This is abysmal reviews from the fans, terrible box office numbers.

[00:19:49]

People are saying it's one of the worst movies ever made in the history of cinema.

[00:19:53]

To me, that's really enticing that I want to see it, just to see what that means. Sounds good. Sounds Interesting. Yeah. But she did an interview recently talking about the box office flop and just owning it, saying how she- The weird thing about it is everybody says this movie's horrible, but people say movies are horrible all the time.

[00:20:11]

But the people in it, including Dakota Johnson, are doing press to acknowledging that the movie was a piece of shit. Yeah.

[00:20:17]

So this is what she said to Bustle. It was definitely an experience for me to make that movie. I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again because I don't make sense in that world. And I know that now. But sometimes in this industry, you on to something and it's one thing, and then as you're making it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you're like, Wait, what? But it was a real learning experience, and of course, it's not nice to be a part of something that's ripped to shreds, but I can't say that I don't understand. She also said, It's so hard to get movies made, and in these big movies that get made, and it's even starting to happen with the little ones, which is what's really freaking me out, decisions are being made by committees, and art does not do well when it's made by committee. Films are made by a filmmaker and a team of artists around them. You cannot make art based on numbers and algorithms. My feeling has been for a long time that audiences are extremely smart, and executives have started to believe that they're not.

[00:21:05]

Audiences will always be able to sniff out bullshit. Even if films start to be made with AI, humans aren't going to fucking want to see those.

[00:21:12]

Madame Webb was giving AI.

[00:21:15]

Yeah, but I think she makes a really good point. A lot of times people in those rooms, executives, they think audiences are stupid, and they can put out this garbage. But the cream always rises.

[00:21:25]

So true.

[00:21:27]

That's how I feel.

[00:21:28]

I love that. I love Dakota Johnson. Ask me to say one bad thing about Dakota Johnson.

[00:21:34]

You can't say one bad thing about Dakota Johnson?

[00:21:38]

I really can't. I guess... Okay, actually, I could. But see, if I talk through it, it'll end up being a positive. Not this person who's literally never acted before in her life, getting their first role on a billion dollar franchise, Fifty Shades. Sorry, that's slay icon behavior. Love that.

[00:21:55]

Yeah. Do you think she was the right person for that role?

[00:21:58]

The thing I never saw the movies, and I didn't read the books, so I don't know who the girl is supposed to be, so I can't say yes or no.

[00:22:05]

But something about that movie, I think it did well. But something about that movie is wrong.

[00:22:10]

It should have been bigger than twilight, based on the books.

[00:22:14]

Yeah. I think One, because the two of them didn't have chemistry, and I think they actually didn't get along. So maybe one of them should have had to go. I actually think he was totally miscast. Jamie. Yeah, she was okay. I think I read the first book, and I think I saw the first movie. I say I think because I know I read the book, but I think I saw the movie. Not memorable.

[00:22:35]

They're always playing it on E. I've seen 20 minutes chunks of it in different parts of my life.

[00:22:40]

Yeah, I just don't think that movie is as iconic as it should have been. I agree.

[00:22:43]

Based on the following, based on It's literally like Smut. It should have been... Smut is so popular.

[00:22:48]

The thing is, the movie was huge. I'm sure if we look at how much money it brought in-Yes, it was a success. But when you watch it back, it's not amazing. When you watch back twilight, when you watch back Hunger Games, those movies are still amazing.

[00:23:00]

Not only that, but when you look back on the place it holds in culture, Fifty Shades has no place in culture. We've all just moved on. It was a successful movie. Everyone made their money back. But in terms of the impact, there was none.

[00:23:14]

And The Lore. And there's not people who are making Fifty Shades. Maybe there's a handful, but Fifty Shades, like fan edits.

[00:23:22]

Speaking of fan fiction, did you see the trailer for The Idea of You? I did. Anne Hathaway's a new movie based on the book I think her name is Robin Lee. Literally one of my least favorite books of all time. It was one of the most disgusting predatory pedophilic books I've ever read, and the trailer gave the same type of energy.

[00:23:39]

I thought the trailer looked, considering it's smut and you said it wasn't even good, I thought the trailer looked like a pretty decently serious movie.

[00:23:48]

I completely disagree. I thought Anne Hathaway is far too good for this movie when I saw the trailer.

[00:23:52]

Oh, for sure. But she made it an Anne Hathaway caliber movie looking like.

[00:23:56]

I disagree. But I think just out of sheer curiosity, I think I have to see this movie.

[00:24:02]

Yeah, I think it looks better than what the book sounds like. This was my opinion. Did you ever read the book? No.

[00:24:08]

It's really gross.

[00:24:10]

Yeah, it doesn't seem like they needed to make a movie of this book, but they put all of the quality into the movie, it feels like. They gave it everything they have. Big budget, sets, actors, actresses.

[00:24:22]

I like who they chose for the Harry Style's character, Nicholas. He's a hoddy with a body.

[00:24:27]

Anne Hathaway is an older woman who is It's unbelievable that this person would fall in love with her.

[00:24:33]

Yes. The character, she plays Solal. She's like half-friend. She owns an art gallery. She's extremely chic, very into art and sophisticated and educated. That's So Anne Hathaway. Yeah. Yeah. Anne Hathaway was a good casting.

[00:24:49]

I think they gave it everything they got.

[00:24:50]

This is a book that didn't need to be made into a movie. This is a book we all should have read and been like, Why did we read that and never talk about it again? Okay? It's shameful.

[00:24:58]

There are so many books that should be made into movies.

[00:25:00]

Agreed. There are so many books that get the rights bought and then never made into movies, and that's frustrating.

[00:25:06]

Seven Husbands, The Nightingale, we're still waiting for. Where the fuck is Seven Husbands? I don't know. Are you ready for our next story? Some more superhero news.

[00:25:20]

I'm not ready. Just sorry, one second. The last thing I wanted to say about Dakota Johnson, things I love about her. I was saying so happy for her and Chris Martin. But I think it's important that we not forget The takedown of when Ellen Degenera was started by Dakota Johnson. Now, she didn't do anything. Just an old clip of hers resurface, and it really highlighted how nasty Ellen was. Yeah. And low-key, emotionally manipulative. Yeah. So she started that.

[00:25:43]

And her fans did.

[00:25:45]

Yeah. Oh, and then the whole lime thing, she has this funny... She does interviews, random interviews, and she lies about the most random things. In her Vogue 73 Questions, she had this big bowl of Lyme She's in her kitchen, and she sniffs it. She's like, I just love limes. They're my absolute favorite. And then years later, she was like... And that clip has gone. People were like, This was such a weird thing that Dakota Johnson said in her 73 Questions. And she dressed it years later saying she's actually allergic to limes. They were completely fake. They staged her apartment for the 73 questions, and she just thought it was so stupid. She was like, I love limes.

[00:26:22]

That's funny.

[00:26:23]

She's funny. She's got personality. She's got pizazz.

[00:26:26]

Definitely. I feel like if she's with Chris Martin and Gwyneth likes her, she's got a good personality. Agreed.

[00:26:31]

It's a tough group.

[00:26:33]

Yeah. She's bringing something to the table for sure. Agreed. By way of personality and intellect.

[00:26:38]

By way of intellect. I like that.

[00:26:41]

Speaking of some more superhero news, Gal Gadote gave birth to her fourth child. Wield with her husband, Jaron Varsano, following a secret pregnancy. So Galvedo is now a mom of four, which I didn't even know that she had been a mom of three. She announced that she and her husband have welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl named Ori, after keeping the pregnancy under wraps. She She said, My sweet girl, the pregnancy was not easy, and we made it through. She posted a photo from the hospital bed, and she said that the baby has brought them so much light and it's already living up to her name, which means my light in Hebrew.

[00:27:13]

I'm obsessed with Galvedo I don't know. I didn't realize she was pregnant this whole last year. That means she's been pregnant since October seventh. She's become the face of people on the internet. It's just like, Galgadot. They hate. She's Really a punching bag for people's anti-Semitism. I imagine that's been extremely trying. Knowing that she's pregnant now, having gone through that, that must have been even more difficult.

[00:27:37]

Yeah, for sure. I feel like she's the face of probably the most well-known at the moment and vocal Israeli in Hollywood.

[00:27:45]

I would say Jew also, not even just Israeli.

[00:27:48]

Yeah, but there's a lot of Jews. There's not so many Israelis that are that big. I also think of Natalie Portman.

[00:27:56]

Yeah, but I feel like the Israelis and the Zionist movement doesn't Natalie Portman. She's never been a particularly good spokesperson for us.

[00:28:02]

She's not enough.

[00:28:03]

No. Also Barra Rafaeli, our tax evading queen.

[00:28:08]

Oh, yeah, for sure. But she's not.

[00:28:11]

No, she lives in Israel. She lives in Israel.

[00:28:13]

Right. So it's really Gal.

[00:28:15]

It's Gal putting the industry on her back.

[00:28:17]

Who knew that she had four daughters?

[00:28:20]

I had no idea.

[00:28:22]

She's actually Superwoman. I was going to say- Superwoman.

[00:28:25]

Wonder Woman, right?

[00:28:27]

No, I wasn't saying Wonder Woman. She's a Superwoman. But yes, she is also Wonder Woman.

[00:28:33]

I do feel like it's time for me to see Wonder Woman.

[00:28:38]

You will like it.

[00:28:40]

I've never seen it.

[00:28:41]

It's good. I never saw the sequel.

[00:28:44]

I need to see it.

[00:28:46]

I think you should do it. Support Our Girl.

[00:28:48]

Right.

[00:28:49]

That's a fun movie night.

[00:28:52]

Yeah. Bettis loves superhero movies. I've never seen any of them, except I saw Spider-Man.

[00:28:56]

Maybe you should see this, and then Madame Webb.

[00:28:59]

No. No.

[00:29:00]

Madame Webb.

[00:29:02]

Apparently, people were quoting direct quotes from the script and posting them on Twitter. I was cackling. I guess she has spidey- Is she Madame Webb? Yes. Dakota is Madame Webb.

[00:29:12]

It's her movie.

[00:29:13]

And she weaves a web of sorts. Some of the lines people are quoting, it's like, This web, Madame Webb weaved, was webbed by madame Webb. It's literally brain dead.

[00:29:30]

I have to see it.

[00:29:31]

I am intrigued to say the list. Must watch. Add it to the list.

[00:29:36]

You know what? Probably because everybody just likes it so much, it's giving, I would like it.

[00:29:40]

That's what I was going to say, because it sounds so bad. It sounds like a Hallmark movie, which are horrible, but they're incredible.

[00:29:45]

Yeah.

[00:29:46]

I'm going to give it a chance. Hallmark should do really bad superhero movies. It sounds like Madame Webb is like, If Hallmark took a stab at Marvel.

[00:30:00]

Yeah.

[00:30:01]

I love that. I love that.

[00:30:02]

Are you ready for our next story about another strong woman?

[00:30:07]

No. Who?

[00:30:09]

We're giving like, Women's Month energy.

[00:30:12]

It is international or International Women's- I think today is International Women's Day, March seventh. But it's also Women's Month.

[00:30:21]

Oh, yes. But then there's the day, and I think it's March seventh.

[00:30:25]

It's not today.

[00:30:26]

It's not today. So tomorrow?

[00:30:28]

It's Women's History Month, and it's Okay, so tomorrow, we're going to make a big deal of it. Who would you say is a woman that you want to honor this Women's History Month?

[00:30:43]

For real or for jokes?

[00:30:46]

For jokes.

[00:30:53]

Gipsy Rose Blanchard.

[00:31:00]

I agree.

[00:31:01]

And for you?

[00:31:03]

Probably myself. I've been through an unimaginable amount of things, and look at me like a businesswoman model.

[00:31:09]

Stronger than ever.

[00:31:10]

Stronger and more powerful than ever. So yeah, I'd say me. Okay.

[00:31:14]

Love that. Thanks. But this next strong woman is breaking down in tears in a new clip from a new interview. Giselle Bündchen is sitting down with Robin Roberts, talking, mentioning it all. Why? So there's a new special coming out on Hulu today called Impact X Nightline, Giselle Bündchen, Climbing the Mountain. I don't know what this is in service to, but it's like a- What's she promoting? It's giving like, Oprah and Adele, we have Robin and Giselle.

[00:31:51]

Robin and Giselle from Potomac.

[00:31:54]

Robin and Giselle are sitting down and having a conversation, and she does ask a question about Tom braided. Giselle breaks down, Can I have a moment? It feels like that's just an aside to the interview, not the meat of the interview. She must be doing something that she wants to promote in this long special. But it looks really interesting. I feel like we never hear from her in this format.

[00:32:16]

We never hear from her, specifically in long-form interview. Also, she might be one of the most interesting people in the world.

[00:32:24]

She really is, because obviously, right now, Tom and Giselle is top of mind. They were even showing in the trailer flashbacks to them at the Met Gala and all of these. There's no more fabulous people than these two.

[00:32:37]

No. And they really were America's couple because she was just an enormous model everywhere, every billboard, every man. And he was obviously the king of football. So it really was a match made in yearbook heaven. It was the cheerleader and the quarterback. And I think we all felt involved in one way. And then bringing up was crazy. And there was low-key Like stuff.

[00:33:01]

Animes.

[00:33:02]

Yeah.

[00:33:03]

Yeah. I don't think she's going to clear it all up right now.

[00:33:06]

I think they probably had to touch on it in order for her to do this interview.

[00:33:09]

Yeah. I'm sure she'll keep it moving. He's the father of her children, so what really would she say? But she will be mentioning it. I also just want to hear from her on how she's doing, what she's doing.

[00:33:22]

It seems like she's doing well. She's doing her jiu-jitsu instructor.

[00:33:24]

Yeah, that's what we see. There's a question, Would you open your heart again? She I'm living my truth. I have. She's living her truth, though. I can't believe she uses phrases like that.

[00:33:35]

I feel like she would be above phrases like that.

[00:33:39]

She seems like a tough cookie who doesn't stoop to saying things like, I'm living my truth.

[00:33:44]

Also, English is not her first language, and only people who speak English talk that stupid. You speak too much English. Yeah. If you are fluent in multiple languages, you're obviously a person of high intellect, and you don't say dumb things like that. You're better at explaining yourself. But that's just my Yeah.

[00:34:04]

That's exciting. I think it's out on Hulu today, and I look forward to seeing clips because let's get real. I'm not going to sit down and watch the whole thing. No shade to Giselle, just I know myself. I have to watch a Madden Webb.

[00:34:15]

Who is somebody who would sit down for an hour long interview with Robin Roberts on Hulu that you would actually watch?

[00:34:21]

Great question.

[00:34:22]

Taylor, Luke Holmes.

[00:34:24]

Yeah.

[00:34:25]

Elon, of course. Elon. Elon, that's her answer for What would Elon be doing, Tugging Robert Roberts? I have to watch. I don't know. I feel like Robin Roberts is actually a good interviewer. I feel like she doesn't come in with any agenda. She is.

[00:34:40]

No shade to Robin. But he's always going on this podcast or other.

[00:34:48]

No, and he does it on Twitter Spaces now. I'm trying to make that a thing.

[00:34:51]

Twitter Spaces. Yeah, I won't go to Twitter Spaces, though.

[00:34:55]

Oh, wow. She has a line.

[00:34:56]

That's where I draw the line. Yeah.

[00:34:57]

Fair.

[00:34:57]

So he might be saying the most interesting stuff, and I'm missing it. You might. That's something I have to live with. Okay. And I'm okay with it.

[00:35:04]

I'm glad.

[00:35:06]

Are you ready for our next story, which is some new couple news?

[00:35:08]

Is this four or five?

[00:35:09]

Four.

[00:35:10]

Yes.

[00:35:11]

Joshua Jackson is passionately kissing Lupita Niango while celebrating her 41st birthday with a Mexican getaway. So Joshua Jackson and girlfriend Lupita Niango are passionately kissing while celebrating her birthday in Puerto Vallarta. According to the photos, they were seen packing on the PDA during their weekend in the sand.

[00:35:32]

I love Joshua Jackson. He really is just one of those people who has my heart. And personally, I never moved on from him and Diane Keaton. I stayed there dust collecting round my pin-the-pan.

[00:35:49]

He was with Diane Keaton?

[00:35:51]

No, I'm sorry. No, not Keaton. Kruger, excuse me. From Inglesias Bastards. They were together forever. I feel like every time When we talk about them, I tell the story about how I saw them buying a TV together in Best Buy, and they were so cute making out in the aisles. I literally, I stand. When I was in college, the Best Buy on sixth Avenue on 18th Street. I loved him in the affair. He's so hot. I love this man. Personally, I'm still morning Diane Kruger/Keaton.

[00:36:18]

Got it. But then he was in another long relationship. Yeah, baby, with Jody. Jody Turner-Smith. Now, him and Lupita have been together for three months, but I must have missed their couple announcement.

[00:36:29]

I had seen. It wasn't like an announcement. There were reports, and then there might have been one photo, and then they were silenced. I thought maybe they had just went on one date and people got ahead of themselves. No, this confirms full-blown relationship.

[00:36:39]

Full-blown? Yeah. He's really like a relationship guy.

[00:36:43]

No, Jackie, he's like a dream man. Please don't tell me anything bad about him in the comments. I love him.

[00:36:47]

Is he too much- I guess that is a good quality. Someone who's looking for serious relationships has seen a lot of them.

[00:36:54]

Also, I feel like not to keep going back to Diane Kruger/Keaton, we got no closure. Not only did they break up out of nowhere, he was with Jody Turner-Smith the next day. It was really not a good look.

[00:37:06]

That's red flag behavior.

[00:37:08]

I know. What's up with Diane Kruger? Who does she date?

[00:37:12]

Let me look. I feel like she'd be the type to be married to a filmmaker.

[00:37:16]

Yeah, like an artist. She reminds me of Diana Agron.

[00:37:20]

Oh, interesting.

[00:37:21]

Like a grown up Diana Agron.

[00:37:23]

Norman Reedis. Norman Reedis. Happily engaged and parents to a daughter. And he's an actor.

[00:37:30]

And former model, he made his acting debut in the '90s as Murphy McManus in the Boondocks Saints, followed by supporting goals.

[00:37:37]

I'm reading the same thing as you. I'm cracking up. He's also in the Walking Dead more recently. Okay, thank you.

[00:37:41]

That's what he's obviously known for.

[00:37:42]

Even though you guys might know him from the Boondocks Saints.

[00:37:45]

By the way, his name sounded so familiar. I'm like, Oh, this is a famous person, but I'm not familiar with his work.

[00:37:52]

Let me look at pictures of that. Yeah, you said it like that. Norman Reed is.

[00:37:55]

Yeah, I did. I said it with a familiar tone in my voice. He looks like Dave Grohl, like twins. He totally has hair plugs. You could tell, by the way. It's hair is part of it. Do you approve for her? No.

[00:38:08]

Even though he's famous and successful?

[00:38:12]

She is so gorgeous, like glamorous. In some of the biggest and best movies of all time, she's so elegant, classy. I don't know who would be right for her. I love her, and I just love that scene where she chokes the Nazi.

[00:38:27]

What do you think about Joshua and Lepida?

[00:38:30]

I'm happy for them if they both are happy. I'm now starting to question, now that I've sat down and analyzed it, Joshua Jackson, it's like, What's going on?

[00:38:40]

You mean relationship jumper?

[00:38:43]

Yeah, and I was going to say maybe it seems like he doesn't want to settle down, but he literally had a baby with Jody Turner-Smith really quickly. I don't know if they got married.

[00:38:48]

They were married.

[00:38:50]

He was obviously not averse to commitment.

[00:38:52]

Yeah, but long term, forever.

[00:38:56]

Yeah.

[00:38:57]

Whatever happened to forever.

[00:39:00]

What about us?

[00:39:01]

What if we just stayed together forever?

[00:39:03]

What if?

[00:39:04]

He's not about it.

[00:39:06]

I don't know. He definitely has his red flags, I agree, but he's just so handsome.

[00:39:11]

[00:43:45]

Thank you, Claudia. You're welcome. Our fifth and final story is some boxing news because Jake Paul is set to fight Mike Tyson in a live Netflix boxing event. Jake Paul is set to fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match that will be livestreamed on Netflix. It's scheduled to take place on July 20th at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, and will be available to all Netflix subscribers. So this is big because it's a big fight for Jake Paul, literally fighting Mike Tyson, which is there a bigger fighter out there, and it's going to be on Netflix, so not the usual pay-per-view experience.

[00:44:20]

This is super interesting. I feel like this is the first time Netflix has done a live boxing. They've done a few live events, Chris Rock, live comedy, which was crazy. They had the Live Love is Blind, which was a mess, reunion. Now they're doing live boxing. I love that, by the way. I do think that that's something they should be doing. Pay-per-view is so old school. The last couple of times, I actually happen to weirdly love these influencer fights. I always watch them because they're always on a Saturday night. It's always a fun thing to do, to invite people over, have some drinks. I'm always watching, and I've never not had a problem with the cable company. I'm always on the phone with the cable. Actually, I don't have cable anymore. I wonder how it's going to work for me this time.

[00:44:56]

Netflix.

[00:44:57]

Right. Paperview is so old-school. I love this. I wonder what the money is like, because pay-per-views, say what you want about it, they make hundreds of millions of dollars.

[00:45:06]

I'm sure they're making a lot of money. As far as fights that I've heard of, especially for Jake Paul, who his fights have millions of viewers just because of him, he's fighting Mike Tyson. That's a big deal to me.

[00:45:18]

Yeah, of course. This is like the equivalent of when Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather, which was so major. And of course, he lost because Floyd Mayweather is still in fighting shape. I do think Jake Paul actually has a chance only because he's so much younger. And that stands for something. It's who can last the longest.

[00:45:37]

Yeah, and he is a really good fighter. I guess it's a win-win for him because if he beats Mike Tyson, oh, my God, I beat Mike Tyson. Even if he loses to Mike Tyson, it's like, I fought Mike Tyson.

[00:45:48]

Yeah, no. It's so good. I feel like those two, especially. I think Logan gave up on it and went to the WW. After that Floyd Mayweather thing, he didn't continue with trying to be taken seriously as a boxer. He went to WW, which It's like fake wrestling, but it's huge. It's like the most global brand. That was actually really smart. He's like the official beverage. I just actually read that their- Prime.

[00:46:10]

What's it?

[00:46:11]

What is it? Like an energy drink? Yeah. Just outsold Gatorade. That's crazy. I just want to say I've never seen anybody drinking it. However, I was having this conversation with the Taylor's, and Taylor John, he was like, No, my nephews, young boys, are obsessed with it. It's that Logan Paul fandom.

[00:46:29]

I actually think- And Zack Shapiro.

[00:46:32]

And Zack Shapiro, yes.

[00:46:33]

I'm on their PR list. Yeah, I'm on the PR list. And I give it all to him.

[00:46:39]

Good. I'm so glad he's getting what he wants.

[00:46:41]

Because I've been breastfeeding, so I don't need hundreds of milligrams of caffeine. But actually, now I do. So maybe I'll keep it.

[00:46:47]

So he went a totally different route. Very businessy. He is raking it in from the WWE and from Prime. But Jake really continued with this serious boxer, and I feel like it's really paid off for him. I take him seriously as a boxer.

[00:47:00]

Did you watch his Netflix docuseries?

[00:47:03]

No, I should have.

[00:47:04]

Claudia, you can still watch it, and that will make this fight way more interesting to you. Oh, you know what? Maybe I will. And if I didn't watch it, I wouldn't even have registered this fight.

[00:47:14]

Yeah.

[00:47:14]

And I'm I'm glad that I did watch it. That was the night I went into labor.

[00:47:18]

Oh my God. Thanks, Jake Paul. Jake Paul has that effect on you. Also, I love this story because I feel like we're always saying things Netflix should do, and they're always just doing lame things, dropping two episodes at a time of a show people finally like. This is them finally doing something good. From a brand strategy point of view, I'm like, Oh, my God. Thank you. Duh. Innovative. They should have been doing this a while ago.

[00:47:41]

Yeah. Well, live sports is always going to be a big market. There is this gap because pay-per-view is Stone Age.

[00:47:51]

Yeah, but it's the same way that like, comedy specials are really being kept alive by Netflix. They could do that with wrestling, which really is this old-school If they wanted to and they would put on fights and give money to Jake Paul, maybe get Logan to come back, they should really have a boxing. They should work on this because it's a market.

[00:48:09]

But the argument made in Untold Jake Paul is that Jake Paul has done that for wrestling. Jake Paul has injected new life.

[00:48:18]

He definitely has. I've never watched a fight in my life.

[00:48:20]

But I do think that as far as distribution, it could be even bigger, and that's where Netflix comes in. Maybe they had a good working relationship from the documentary, and this is a byproduct of that.

[00:48:28]

I do want to say I feel like credit needs to be given where it's due. And Logan was the first brother.

[00:48:35]

That's in the documentary.

[00:48:37]

Okay. I feel like he, at least for me, opened me up to wrestling when I never would have watched that in my life.

[00:48:42]

Boxing, whatever it's called. Jake just totally- Took it over. Took it over. I think he's really talented, too.

[00:48:49]

I think so, too.

[00:48:50]

It's hard work and natural ability.

[00:48:53]

Ability and physical stamina. You got to be in good shape. It's a commitment. It's a lot of work.

[00:48:57]

Determination.

[00:48:58]

Should we have a fight?

[00:49:00]

Who would win? Me.

[00:49:02]

Really? Yeah. Okay. By the way, how much would somebody have to pay us to do that?

[00:49:10]

Not that much. Would it be boxing or WWE? We're like...

[00:49:14]

No, it's not a choreograph.

[00:49:16]

We have to hit each other.

[00:49:17]

Yeah, not to the point of knock out and stuff, but like, yeah. Okay.

[00:49:21]

I think...

[00:49:23]

But, Jackie, think about it. Millions of people are watching, and we're making millions of dollars.

[00:49:27]

Right. How much would we have to make?

[00:49:30]

I would do it for $25 million. I was going to say the same thing.

[00:49:34]

Overall, a $50 million deal.

[00:49:36]

For one night, and we'd agree to go easy on each other, but we'd have to be like- No, we'd have to actually fight.

[00:49:42]

I don't want to knock you out, but I'm not going to hold back punches.

[00:49:48]

Okay. So somebody, Jake Paul, reach out. We'll do it. I'll do it. I don't give a fuck.

[00:49:54]

I'll do it. Yeah. I feel like every time we talk about the Paul brothers fighting, we make it about ourselves fighting. Really?

[00:49:59]

I feel like this is a brand new conversation. I have no memory of ever having this combo. But again, take that with a great assault.

[00:50:05]

Because I think we once said, Jake and Logan should fight each other. Free idea.

[00:50:09]

They should.

[00:50:11]

They should, have they? No. Then also, there will be other fighters on the bill, like openers and such. They haven't programmed it yet. I'm hoping for Tommy Fury. Okay, we're available. I'm hoping for Tommy Fury.

[00:50:24]

We're available.

[00:50:25]

And then we can meet Molly.

[00:50:27]

We're available. Did you see Molly got her hair done by Chris Appleton? I did.

[00:50:30]

She had fake bang.

[00:50:31]

He gave her a full hair makeover, and she looked so good. It was fake. But not the hair color.

[00:50:36]

No, but the...

[00:50:37]

No. Bangs. Was the whole thing fake? Yeah. Wait, what? She looked so good.

[00:50:42]

Because she's been posting regular Molly. It was a wig.

[00:50:46]

Oh my God, how lame is that?

[00:50:48]

Sorry to disappoint.

[00:50:52]

Okay. Moving on to the Lib recap.

[00:50:56]

Moving on to the Lib recap. Love is Blind: Weddings Last Night.

[00:50:59]

This will contain spoilers, so log off if you're a pain in the ass.

[00:51:05]

So three major moments from last night. First, the conversation between Chelsea and Jimmy ending their relationship.

[00:51:12]

Yeah. And a lot of people are mad at Jimmy.

[00:51:15]

I got to-Who could be mad at Jimmy? I got to- Who literally could be mad at Jimmy. The only reason I'm confused is because he had the opportunity to break up with her during or right after that fight, and he was sucked back in. But I do feel like he intended to break up with her after the fight, and she convinced him not to. But then he got back on his own again. I was like, No, we actually have to break up. We cannot be together.

[00:51:37]

Control Z. Control Z.

[00:51:40]

Citril Z.

[00:51:41]

Citril Z. People are like, Oh, he's so mean. He said he wanted to marry her, and then he didn't. You know what really would have been mean? What Clay did, literally make her get all dressed up to tell her no in front of her friends and family. That's the kinder thing to do. How anyone can really be mad. These two were so... She was just awful. Even during the breakup, she was awful. Sorry, and this is going to be such a hot take because everybody's like, Clay's a dick. Jimmy's a dick. Sorry. You are allowed to break up with someone.

[00:52:06]

No. And you are allowed to say no at the end of this process. It's not the real world.

[00:52:10]

And you're allowed to wait until the weddings to say no.

[00:52:13]

That's what you're supposed to do. It's not It's a real world. There are a certain set of rules in this show. I don't know how Jimmy evaded them, maybe because his relationship gave the season the biggest and funiest and craziest story lines, and they were like, Okay, you've done your part. But for everyone else, you have to wait unless you're going to break up really early in the season. You have to wait till the altar. It's not necessarily how you would do things, but those are the rules that we're playing by. So it doesn't bother me that he didn't take her aside. And we'll talk about Clay and Nadia, but first I want to talk about Chelsea and Jimmy, and I don't even compare Jimmy to Clay.

[00:52:44]

No, me neither. But they both said no. I feel like a lot of people watching this show get so mad at them. You are allowed to not be in love with someone. It's not a crime.

[00:52:53]

This person they tried. My issue with Clay is that there was no one that he was going to meet, no perfect enough relationship that was going to to say yes in this time period because he wasn't ready. And in that situation, you shouldn't even go on the show if you're not really looking to get married in four weeks.

[00:53:09]

He had the TikTok logo on his vision board for this year, and I feel like that told me everything I needed to I'm not going to lie about him.

[00:53:15]

To me, that's his crime. You weren't ready to go on the show like, Now you're going to start therapy. No, you need to come on whole and really hoping and wanting to be married at the end of the process.

[00:53:25]

And I have to say, A. D. Saying yes was desperate to me.

[00:53:35]

I really didn't think she was going to say yes. I don't know why.

[00:53:38]

Of course not. By the way, Jackie, first of all, they've been engaged. He hasn't been sleeping at the house. All he does is work. He's very clearly said 500 times he's really struggling with monogamy. He really doesn't want to cheat on her. Why the fuck did she say yes?

[00:53:52]

Do you think that maybe... I can't even put myself in their shoes, but do you think that maybe she knew he was going to say no, and so it's better to Just for the fans and everything to look like the victim. There we have a story as opposed to two people who are both like, no.

[00:54:08]

I would appreciate the realness more.

[00:54:13]

I feel like the whole time.

[00:54:15]

I was shocked when she said I do.

[00:54:16]

The whole time, I did feel like she was like-You do? The whole time, I really didn't feel like she was going to say yes. But then when she did, I feel like that is the moment where whatever lies you've been telling yourself this entire time, they end.

[00:54:29]

You're not really... Because of course, it's so real.

[00:54:31]

It's a legal ceremony. You're not really going to marry this stranger. Because you've made it to the end of the episode. You have accomplished your goals.

[00:54:39]

You're on TV. You're on TV.

[00:54:40]

Now, this is your real fucking life. Yes.

[00:54:43]

You're not. Run.

[00:54:44]

The lies end here.

[00:54:47]

It's so true. It's like, boom, cameras are off. Let's be real with one another.

[00:54:52]

Yeah. This is your real life. When she said yes, I was like, Oh, have I been misreading this the entire time? It would have been like if Jimmy said yes at the altar.

[00:55:01]

You know what it reminded me of? Because I've been on such a journey with Adi, and I remember in the pods in the first few episodes, I thought she was so insincere and so almost just desperate to get a match, not because she's desperate for love, but because she wanted to be on the show. Then throughout I was in this process, I actually felt like she was really giving her her real heart and very genuine. The second she said yes to somebody, she so clearly should have said no to, and she's not a dumb person. She's a smart, successful woman. It reminded me of the Adi I met in the pods in my first instinct on her, which was like, Oh, she's not serious.

[00:55:30]

I agree. In the pods, I thought she wasn't super serious, wanted to be engaged. But then I thought when she met Clay, that they were really good match at certain points. I think they were both so happy with each other. Couldn't have asked for more from this process. They're both incredibly good-looking, and they were having fun together. But then their real lives don't mesh, just everyday habits and routines. They're not a great match for each other. That's why I fast forward through all the stuff before the wedding. Because everything they say in that moment, it's lies, lies, lies.

[00:56:04]

It's true, because you don't really know their absolute truth until, do you?

[00:56:09]

That's how I felt. You know who turned me off to all of it? Like, throwback? Deep D.

[00:56:14]

The way I literally knew you were going to say that.

[00:56:17]

I'm glad that you agree because the way you think she's hopelessly in love with this guy who's not being serious enough, but she wants to make it work- Is a dick. She wants a serious relationship, and all of her wedding confessionals talking about their relationship, and then just turned on him at the altar, which he should have done because he was not a great guy. But it's like- You know what?

[00:56:34]

Everything leading up to the weddings is a lie. But it's like, you turned up.

[00:56:37]

You lie to us, the viewers, in every professional.

[00:56:40]

The second the bride or groom, you see their foot step out of the car and enter the venue in their morning clothes. I skip until... Because you know what? It's all fake. It's a lie. Literally everything they say, you watch it, you're like, How would these people not get married? They say, This is my person. I feel so myself. I've never been this happy in my life. It's crying with their parents, sending them letters. And then I don't. So literally, it defies logic.

[00:57:03]

It's giving irrelevant. They should actually, just for the sake of the show, take all of that out. These people aren't actors either. It's not fair to them to make them lie.

[00:57:10]

And then everybody was like, That conversation between Clay's parents was so moving. And I was like, what conversation?

[00:57:17]

Okay, for some reason, I didn't skip that. I just had landed there. And I actually, I didn't find it so moving. I just felt that that woman is a queen.

[00:57:27]

Yeah, his mom.

[00:57:28]

And the one hand, she was being So forgiving and gracious, and on the other hand, but being like, But don't forget what you did. And also this process had brought out even more information. She knew that he had been cheating on her, but there was even more. He was taking the kid on the cheat trips. She was hurt in this process, too.

[00:57:47]

Jesus. Clay wasn't even ready to go on this show, so he caused all this harm with his family. For what? By the way, then that's the other thing, because Clay said, I think it would be irresponsible for me to get married. Very reasonable thing to say. But he didn't say, I don't love you, and I don't want to see you anymore. She was just basically like, I can't date someone who wouldn't choose me. That happens a lot with this show where people are like- They have this conversation in another episode, and he said, Why can't we just date?

[00:58:15]

Why do we have to be on this timeline of getting married? She said, If you do not marry me, I'm not dating you afterwards. What do you think about that?

[00:58:24]

I don't know if she felt that way or if she's been told to say that, because if everybody was able to get away with that, then they would all say no and just continue dating. It wouldn't be a marriage show, it would be a dating show. I think it's very high stakes. I don't know what's in your contract, but I think it's very high stakes to say no and then continue to date them.

[00:58:40]

But a lot of people who say no, they don't continue to date. No, they don't. We've never really seen anyone continue to date. I understand being like, No, I think she said 10 toes in on this, and I'm going through the whole process as it's meant to be. I also think the people who go on the show are usually older who really want to be married. It's like, if we're not getting—we found each other. If we're not getting married today, why would we be getting married in a year from now? I see both sides. Obviously, rationally, it's like, let's just date. I like you. You like me. Yeah.

[00:59:08]

But it's like- I think that's a flaw in the show.

[00:59:10]

It's about a commitment, though.

[00:59:13]

Yeah.

[00:59:14]

It's about a leap of faith and being like, maybe we don't have everything worked out, but you are the right person for me, and we want all of the same things, and I want those things, so let's start now.

[00:59:25]

Well, two people who did take a leap of faith, Johnny and Amy, perhaps two of my least favorite people. Actually, not even two, just one, Johnny. Probably my least favorite person to ever grace any reality TV show ever.

[00:59:36]

I feel like they're going to show up at the reunion pregnant.

[00:59:40]

Pregnant. Triplet. Imagine. No, I'm sorry. Once again, I stayed there dust collecting round my pinda pair. They moved on. He's so sweet to her brother. There's so many great things. I'm still with the condoms. I'll never get over it. You shouldn't either.

[00:59:58]

Did you think they were going to get Are you married?

[01:00:01]

No. When I was watching- I thought she was lying the whole time. Every time they showed her on camera, I'm like, This bitch is lying.

[01:00:07]

Oh my God. But I was wrong. When I watched the bit of their wedding footage before they got to the answers, I was feeling it.

[01:00:16]

Yeah, of course. She was so emotional with her brother and her dad. Oh my God, it was beautiful. I stopped fast forwarding the second I saw her at the end of the aisle. That's where I started. It was beautiful. I actually happened to really like her. When I talk shit about them, I'm actually only talking about him. Of course.

[01:00:30]

Because there's literally nothing you have to like about her.

[01:00:32]

I could see him being one of these crazy husbands who controls what their wives eats and doesn't let her leave the house. I'm being dead serious. He gives me so the willies.

[01:00:40]

Yeah, but I just feel like she's stronger than you think.

[01:00:47]

Wait, do you remember that couple? Hold on. I just had a memory. I think it was the last The Girl was a Toaster.

[01:01:02]

The last episode?

[01:01:05]

The last season.

[01:01:06]

Hold on. Two seasons ago. We didn't watch last season.

[01:01:09]

What was that season for?

[01:01:10]

That was Chelsea and Kwame.

[01:01:12]

Was that that season? No, maybe it was the one before. Hold on.

[01:01:17]

Then there was one with Bartiste. I didn't watch that. No.

[01:01:20]

Wait, was that Bartiste's season?

[01:01:22]

Then there was one with Shane and Deep D and Natalie. Fuck.

[01:01:27]

I think they're still married. Hold on.

[01:01:31]

She's a toaster.

[01:01:31]

It's bothering me a lot. Yes, she was in Facebook group. Oh, Colleen and Matt. Do you remember?

[01:01:37]

I think that's the Bartiste season I didn't watch.

[01:01:40]

He was so nutty. He really gave scary energy sometimes. Then I think they ended up getting married. Hold on. They said yes. They are still married at the reunion. After almost two years of marriage, they moved in together. After two years of marriage? I need to look at their interview. I forgot about her. He was so fucking crazy. Everybody was They're worried about her, but then they're like, Everybody moved on. Yeah, wait, hold on. Does she have any pictures with her husband? Yes, they're still married. Oh, my God. He was so crazy, Jackie.

[01:02:12]

Well, you have to remember two things. One, it's a TV show, things are edited to be a little more dramatic than they might be. And two, there's a lid for every pot.

[01:02:21]

Honestly, I forgot about this girl. She's so pretty and cute-looking. She looks like a good person to just going to follow on Instagram for style inspo.

[01:02:33]

Send me her page.

[01:02:34]

I will. Does anybody remember what I'm talking about?

[01:02:37]

I'm sure they do. I did not watch that season.

[01:02:40]

Got it. It was a good season. Okay, I just sent it to you. Yeah, they said yes. Can't wait to catch up with them at their reunion. I hope Netflix does not do this moronic live reunion again.

[01:02:51]

There's no way they're going to. That was a disaster.

[01:02:54]

For everyone. Nobody had a lower Q-Score on the planet than Vanessa Lachet. It was really bad for everyone.

[01:02:59]

Not even at the tech issues? Of course. No, I'm saying it was bad for everyone. We all waited an hour, and then they just had to film it and then post it. It wasn't even live.

[01:03:06]

We never waited 24.

[01:03:08]

Right, because we were all sitting there. They kept being like, It's about to start. We were all checking the Lachet's Instagram, and then they were like, Okay, we can't get our shit together. We're just recording it, and then it will post it. Yikes. There's no way they're doing that again.

[01:03:22]

Please, no. Even though they're obviously getting into live.

[01:03:25]

In sports, live sports is good. Yeah. Live reunion, not so good. Also, by people who are not entertainers, who are not concise-Professionals. And they need editing.

[01:03:37]

Yeah. I felt like because there's obviously somewhat of a time limit with a live show, you don't get to everything. No. And with a prerecording recorded, edited moment, you can cover all your bases and cut out anything that's boring.

[01:03:48]

And people either feel pressure to answer quickly or they're taking up too much time with their answer, and both things are bad.

[01:03:55]

Yeah.

[01:03:56]

No lie, please.

[01:03:58]

Have we ever had a couple who got married, and by the time the reunion rolled around, they were divorced?

[01:04:03]

No, but I also think the reunions are... No, they're not new. There's been reunions the whole time.

[01:04:10]

And they're always filmed really close to the air date because they want to get the most up to date stories.

[01:04:14]

I feel like this reunion was filmed last week, maybe when they were all in LA.

[01:04:18]

Me too.

[01:04:19]

Also, I saw that people are saying that Jess and Harry Jousey pictures are old from this summer.

[01:04:23]

I saw somebody say that, too, but I don't know if that's true. We could look it up.

[01:04:30]

No, but why are they just... I don't know.

[01:04:34]

Why would they just be coming out now?

[01:04:35]

Because we didn't know who she was this summer.

[01:04:40]

They're from last year. Oh, yeah. Tmz said, Picks were taken months ago, but this article was written yesterday.

[01:04:48]

Oh, okay.

[01:04:49]

Here's the deal. Nobody knew who this woman was until the latest season of Love Is Blind, in which she stars, which is why the photos of Jessica and Harry cuddling up in Mexico from this past September completely flew under the radar.

[01:05:00]

Oh, I They love that. Maybe they're no longer together and they had their fun, and now she can butterfly, fly away. How did they meet?

[01:05:09]

Netflix HQ.

[01:05:11]

Netflix HQ.

[01:05:12]

She was probably there for a meeting. He does a lot of the social content for Netflix.

[01:05:14]

Yeah, you're right.

[01:05:16]

Maybe they had him hosting something.

[01:05:17]

Maybe they were in the lobby, each getting a coffee.

[01:05:22]

Sounds like a movie we'd watch on Netflix.

[01:05:24]

On Hallmark.

[01:05:26]

Yeah. This has been such a blast. Last. The reunion is next week. We will, of course, be recapping it. That's our show. A nice long one.

[01:05:40]

They always are. But if it wasn't long enough and you need more swirly content, The Red Heads is out now, and it's a really funny episode about a great book. I'll say that. That's all she'll say. It was just an interesting... What was so shocking. I don't want to spoil the episode, but it's historical fiction, 1700s, about a midwife in Maine. It sounds dreadful, right?

[01:06:01]

Horrible.

[01:06:02]

Snitch liked it.

[01:06:05]

But Snitch is growing up.

[01:06:07]

Snitch is growing up. It's beautiful, but it's hard as her big sister's.

[01:06:11]

I mean, what makes you feel older than that?

[01:06:13]

Then Snitch liking a book about a midwife.

[01:06:16]

From the 17... I've never read a historical fiction book earlier than the 1900s.

[01:06:21]

It was like post-revolutionary war vibes, getting the country assembled, land. I'm ancient. Paul Revere is mentioned. Thomas Payne, and three words, Snitch liked it.

[01:06:36]

That she did.

[01:06:37]

That's a spooky hunting words.
