Good morning, millennials. Good morning, millennials.

[00:00:03]

Welcome back to the weekend, weekend, Friday, Friday. Got to get down on Friday. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend, weekend. Friday, Friday. Getting down on Friday.

[00:00:24]

Welcome, everyone, to The Toast, to Friday, to the end of the week. We're sliding into the weekend, and The Toast, your favorite shouting words podcast, will get you there.

[00:00:35]

I feel good. I know that I would. It's Friday. We have a gorgeous show. We're wearing our new merch. Life is good.

[00:00:47]

In case you missed it yesterday, we have a merch drop coming up Monday 10:00 AM Eastern Time. The Wench collection.

[00:00:55]

The.

[00:00:55]

Wench collection. Claudia is now wearing the cream Wench Reindeer set. So gorgeous, so sweet, so cute. And I am wearing Wenchy Lights, which is Wenchy in lights.

[00:01:07]

I'm so excited about this merch shop. I'm so excited that it's Friday. It's going to be a great show. And I'm even more excited because on yesterday's show, I did probably one of the most annoying things a human being could do and say like, Oh, my God. I have the craziest thing to tell you, the biggest piece of gossip. And then I said, Wait, no, I can't say it.

[00:01:27]

It.

[00:01:28]

Was embarking. But thankfully, one of our stories today is the news that leaked.

[00:01:33]

That leaked. And then Claudia will share her.

[00:01:35]

Perspective- Because I was there.

[00:01:36]

-and what she would have said yesterday. So that's really exciting. We can button that up. I know people are itching. That was annoying. I did get a few texts.

[00:01:45]

Like, What is it? So did I. Did you tell them? I said I'll call you later, then I forgot to call them.

[00:01:50]

That's so tirty.

[00:01:51]

That's so tirty. It's the future, she won't tell. It's a phone call.

[00:01:58]

Oh, turtle.

[00:01:59]

Oh, it's just Friday. I'm smiley turty. It's Friday. It feels like a well-earned Friday. It was a very good, busy, productive week, and I'm just so excited to ease into the weekend. And next week is a holiday. It's a holiday.

[00:02:13]

It's Thanksgiving. Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited for next week. Just enter the.

[00:02:18]

Chill zone. Yeah, so next week's scheduling update. There are shows Monday and Tuesday. And then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we are off for Thanksgiving. I'm overjoyed. I can't wait. I don't even like Thanksgiving food, but I love the Thanksgiving vibes.

[00:02:32]

We have a lot... I know that's not what you want to hear. Some people want to show every day, but we have good news, too. The good news is that next week, we will have patron episodes on the days that we are out. And today, we have a new patron episode that just dropped yesterday, general Q and A with Jackson tird, where everyone just got to write whatever questions they have for us, and we're answering them. So many great questions, so many great conversations. We're going to do a part two because we have one million more questions that are pertinent to the situation. That will be forthcoming next week. And next week, we are also doing our annual patron episode, which is the fast five stories that you need to know for the Thanksgiving table. So we're choosing five world news stories that people are going to be talking about at Thanksgiving. We're going to break it down for you as best as we can, and then we're also going to give you a hot take to bring to the table.

[00:03:19]

Yeah, start.

[00:03:19]

Some trouble. That is one of our favorite episodes to do and most productive.

[00:03:24]

Yeah, I know. And also, I find myself learning so much during that episode because I very much like to keep to myself. I like to just engage with things that I am naturally inclined to engage with. And doing the Fast Five Thanksgiving annual every year, I learned so much. We were talking about this on patron, how last year we finally read everything and learned and understood everything about what was going on with FTX. And everyone was talking about it at the time, and I had no fucking clue what these people were talking about. And then we did the episode, and I really felt like a world leader.

[00:03:56]

I mean, you are.

[00:03:57]

Yeah. And so we will leave you after that episode feeling like a world leader. So like Jackie said, even though there's no regular Toast episodes next week, if you're desperate for an episode, there will be one every day on the days that we are not in. So that's Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next week. Monday, we've got the merch drop. Today, we've got a gorgeous show. I mean, celebrate good times. Come on. Let's celebrate. Take your good times and your bedtime shoes. Sing them the fit.

[00:04:27]

We're going to have a party together with you.

[00:04:32]

Oh, my.

[00:04:33]

All right. Celebration.

[00:04:37]

Instead of celebrate and have a good time.

[00:04:41]

You're doing a lot of singing for being on a show with a person who has a perfect.

[00:04:45]

Voice right now. It's Friday, and I can't help that the actual joy I feel over the fact that it's Friday is emulating through my bones. Oh, oh, oh.

[00:04:56]

Bless.

[00:04:56]

You. It's coming through me and manifesting itself in song. I won't apologize for that ever.

[00:05:02]

Okay, did you finish fourth wing?

[00:05:04]

I did finish fourth wing, and I started IronFlame.

[00:05:08]

Wow, that's a fun thing to be able to do, to just jump from one to the next %. You're probably further than me in Iron Flame.

[00:05:13]

No, no, no. They just got back to Basquiat. They haven't even walked through the doors. They just landed.

[00:05:18]

Got it. Yeah, I was reading all night last night. I'm 10 % like.

[00:05:21]

What is going on? No, the book is really long.

[00:05:24]

The book is really long, and the writing style is just very... She doesn't spare any words. They're all there. Every word, every thought.

[00:05:35]

She used all of them.

[00:05:37]

She used all of them. So, I mean, it's still good, and I'm into it. I'm into it. I'm into it.

[00:05:43]

What else can I tell you about myself before we dive in?

[00:05:48]

Well, I could tell you that I'm rearranging my spice cabinet. I don't know if you guys have seen, but I have bought uniform spice jars, and that is going to be my project this weekend labeling. I think.

[00:05:58]

It's for the best. I'm not one to judge, obviously, but your spice rack was a dump.

[00:06:05]

How would you know?

[00:06:06]

We made a biscuit together, and I was in charge of spices.

[00:06:10]

That's true. And what does your spice rack look like?

[00:06:12]

I mean, I just have the organizers comes, it looks pretty good.

[00:06:15]

Do you have uniform spice? I do.

[00:06:18]

Bless you. I'm not okay. Bless you. Am I going to sick? I'll die.

[00:06:22]

You need an Norton's antivirus. What? Oh, good one. Because my illness was contagious.

[00:06:29]

I do have a uniform spice track, but I don't use it.

[00:06:34]

Well, I'm going to be sifting spices all day today, which is very like that. I like that activity. It's like mind numbing, calming, as long as I can find the time to do it. But I think I will. So I'm really excited about that. And I'm going to cook a little dinner, one pot dish tonight. What's for dinner? It's like a chicken teriyaki bake.

[00:06:53]

Oh, that sounds fucking good.

[00:06:55]

I found the recipe on Instagram from The Wooden Skillet. I'll send it to you. Oh, no. Ben, make it for you.

[00:07:01]

A chicken teriyaki? I don't care if it's baked, fried, roasted, grilled, or shoved up my vagina. I love-.

[00:07:07]

It's chicken teriyaki, and then the veggies and the rice are cooked in the one pot with the chicken.

[00:07:13]

Yeah, that's what I'm going for. And is the chicken cut up? Is it breasts?

[00:07:18]

It's thigh. I know you don't love thigh. Thigh? But thigh, I don't know what to do because I love a breast, obviously. But you don't get the juice with a breast.

[00:07:27]

Why thigh? No. No. No. Dishruined. Can you make it with white meat? I don't like dark meat on chicken or on, honestly, anything.

[00:07:36]

I like a thigh, the parts I could eat of it, which is like three bites because the rest is like- Three.

[00:07:41]

Bites, it's like skin and bones. Three bites, it's like skin and bones.

[00:07:43]

Maybe I could make a couple of thighs, a couple of breasts because you do need the fat. Chicken breasts have no.

[00:07:48]

Fat on them. Oh, sorry. I will not be making this dish.

[00:07:52]

A couple of times I've tried to replace a classic dish. Instead of using thighs and legs, I've used breasts.

[00:07:58]

There's no flavor. I refuse to believe that because I love a chicken breast.

[00:08:03]

Claudia, remember when I made you guys at World War II meal at my house when my friends were here? Yes. And it turned out so poorly because I only use chicken breast and not the rest of the chicken.

[00:08:13]

I don't like it.

[00:08:13]

It just had no flavor. It was World War II food because-.

[00:08:17]

They were rationing.

[00:08:17]

-the flavors.

[00:08:18]

Were rationed.

[00:08:19]

And it was meat and potatoes with no flavor.

[00:08:22]

I don't care. Like, no.

[00:08:24]

I was thinking of maybe throwing a couple of breasts into the pot.

[00:08:27]

I got two if you need.

[00:08:29]

But you know I don't like to deviate from the recipe, so I'm struggling.

[00:08:33]

I'm so sorry for you.

[00:08:36]

I've been through a lot, Turti.

[00:08:37]

I've been through a lot. But that won't stop you from spreading joy today, spreading holiday cheer. You are the cheermaister. I am. I am. And yeah.

[00:08:52]

I have a lot of things to say. Yeah, I like it.

[00:08:56]

She's speechless. I ran out of compliments.

[00:08:59]

That's okay. It's true. I won't let my personal stresses and issues affect the show, ever.

[00:09:06]

Especially not this chicken debacle.

[00:09:09]

It's all going.

[00:09:10]

To work out, Tony. Yeah, so let me know how the OPD turns out.

[00:09:13]

I will. I love an OPD.

[00:09:15]

And honestly, I'm just itching to get to the stories so I can share my piece of gossip.

[00:09:19]

So you can make it about you. I understand.

[00:09:21]

Oh, my God. She's calling me out hard today.

[00:09:24]

No, I know. Talking about my spices was hard, but we did it.

[00:09:26]

We got through it. No, I feel like I was extremely supportive.

[00:09:29]

No, It's fine. And you were able to make it about you because you had been in my space cabinet.

[00:09:33]

For the rest. Right, and I don't think... Let's just talk really quickly. I don't think that's me making everything about myself. That's me being a part of your journey. Do you know what I mean?

[00:09:44]

Yeah, no, but I think it's hard when I'm talking about something that you're not a.

[00:09:48]

Part of. Yeah, I know. And I just think for the sake of the show, we should talk about things that we're both a part of.

[00:09:53]

Oh, okay. I'll make sure to hold everything to that standard.

[00:09:56]

I think so. Okay.

[00:09:58]

So without further- Yeah?

[00:10:00]

-i do? -yeah. -yeah. It's time for the first five stories that you need to know, including Tuddy's.

[00:10:06]

Bit of tea. And the first five stories that you need to know are brought to you by BetterHelp. Thank you, BetterHelp, for sponsoring today's episode. This time of year can be a lot, and it feels very natural to feel some sadness or anxiety about it. But adding something new and positive to your life can counteract some of those feelings. Therapy can be a bright spot amid all of those stresses and changes, something to look forward to to make you feel grounded and to give you the tools to manage everything that's going on. Once I know that the traffic in New York is starting to get bad, I know holiday season is officially here. And holiday season for a lot of people can be very isolating, can be very sad. You can miss people who have passed. You can feel sad for a multitude of reasons, and it's totally normal. And therapy is just a great way to balance those feelings. And BetterHelp is just a fabulous resource because if you're thinking of starting therapy, I really recommend giving BetterHelp a try. It's done entirely online. It's designed to be convenient, flexible, and suited to your schedule.

[00:10:55]

You just fill out a brief questionnaire, you get matched with a licensed therapist, and you can switch therapists anytime for additional charge. One of the annoying things about therapy is the social awkwardness of it. Sometimes you meet a therapist and it's just not a good vibe, and it's very natural for you not to like your first, your second, or even your third therapist. Eventually, you find someone, but it can be so awkward, like calling, canceling the waiting room. It's just painful. Betterhelp takes all of that away. Betterhelp is done entirely online. You can just communicate with your therapist in any mode that you feel comfortable with. You could talk to them on the phone. You could video chat with them. You can even text with them. And it's just really accessible and really convenient. I think a lot more convenient than in-person therapy. And if you need to switch therapists, it's not a big deal. Find your bright spot this season with BetterHelp. Visit betterhelp. Com/toast today to get 10 % off your first month. That's better, H-E-L-P. Com/toast. Today's episode is also brought to you by Kitch. Kitch's biggest fans are saying that their time-saving beauty essentials for hair, skin and body are game-changing.

[00:13:15]

And you can see- Did you get?

[00:13:17]

I didn't do it yet. No, I'm done. Yeah, but I know we're doing a family Secret Santa on our vacation this year. I know who I'm getting, but I wanted to ask you, are you and Zach telling each other who...

[00:13:29]

Yeah, you are. You are? Who the other got?

[00:13:32]

Oh, my God. Me and Ben didn't. I don't think you should be allowed.

[00:13:36]

Oh, but I want to help him.

[00:13:37]

But what if he got you or you got him?

[00:13:40]

Oh, well, then that.

[00:13:42]

Would suck. Oh, man. Me and Ben didn't share.

[00:13:46]

Oh, wow. Because there are some... I don't know which generator we did for Secret San, but there are some generators. Elfster, that's what we used. Okay, but there are some that you can make it so certain people can't get each other. We didn't do that. Hopefully, no one got their spouse. How are you feeling about who.

[00:14:01]

You got? I'm feeling good.

[00:14:02]

I'm feeling good too.

[00:14:04]

I'm dying to know who got me. Not to be weird. I really hope it's not one of the boys. I just feel like they're not serious about-.

[00:14:11]

Right, but that's why they tell their wives and the wives help.

[00:14:14]

I wanted to ask Olivia. I really don't think we should tell spouses.

[00:14:18]

I mean, it's over. I already did. But also, Zach told me what he was thinking about getting for his person. He needed no help. Like, he's fine.

[00:14:25]

Did you guys tell each other who you got for Secret Santa? Me and Ben took a vow of silence, period. But, Jackie and Zach shared.

[00:14:37]

I wouldn't have been able to... I needed to know who he got. Good thing he didn't get me.

[00:14:43]

Right. And good thing you didn't get him.

[00:14:46]

Yeah.

[00:14:47]

Good thing. Yes, I got someone good. I mean, I don't think there's anyone bad, but I got someone good.

[00:14:54]

Yeah, you know what? There really is no one bad because it's not about the person or how you feel about them. It's like if they're able to receive a good gift.

[00:15:00]

Yeah, like if they have a personality.

[00:15:02]

I could think of something to get.

[00:15:04]

For everyone. Me too. It's very exciting. We've never done a secret Santa before. I'm excited.

[00:15:08]

I'm really excited, too. I need to start googling.

[00:15:12]

Yeah.

[00:15:14]

Okay, well, our first story is Trudy's bit of team. So Jewish stars Amy Schumer, Deborah Messing, and Sasha Baron Cohen, among other celebrities and influencers such as Claudia Ashray, slammed TikTok for allowing anti-Semitism to be rife across the platform.

[00:15:29]

I'm including- We don't need to read the article. Let me tell you what happened, okay?

[00:15:32]

Okay, well, The New York Times wrote up this thing that Trudy was trying to.

[00:15:36]

Tell you. And then it was everywhere. So now that somebody else snatched, I'm going to share my truth. And this is what I was going to say yesterday. Two nights ago now, at six o'clock, I had been invited to join a Zoom call where apparently some big people at TikTok were going to be listening to Jewish celebrities and creators talk about their experience on the app thus far and why the situation is so dire. And it started out very nicely. And of course, for me, I'm nosy. There was only 15-celebrate influencers, so I was looking at everyone. Everybody had their cameras on. I saw Mrs. Amy Schumer's living room. I was like, That's a gorgeous firm. And there was somebody with their box turned off, and I was like, Oh, I wonder who that is. And the master of ceremonies, the way that the call was supposed to go, was we'd hear from TikTok. They were saying they take this very seriously, yada, yada, yada. And then they wanted to hear from some of the biggest creators. I'm not going to name anyone because I don't want to put their whatever. But people gave really powerful testimonies about how fucking horrible this last month has been for them.

[00:16:33]

People ranging from ages 16 to 30. I heard stories about people's families getting doxxed. I heard stories about orthodox creators having gotten docks, their address being sent out everywhere, and receiving 10 deliveries a day of pork into their home. Like, horrible, horrible things. And we're listening to everybody's testimonies. And then if you had something to say, you just wrote in the chat. And I raised my hand and somebody else raised their hand at the same time, somebody with their camera turned off. And so the leader of the call, this guy from TikTok was like, All right, let's go to the chat. Let's go to... The person's username was SBC. And so when you raised your hand, you got brought to the top so everybody could see you. So it was me in this blank box not to make everything about me.

[00:17:19]

No, literally. How you're centering yourself in this story.

[00:17:24]

So SBC turns his camera on, it's Sasha Baron-Cohen. I had no idea he was going to be on this call. And he's the type of person who has immense power. And TikTok doesn't affect his business. So all the people on the call thus far who get most of their livelihood from TikTok, they were being extremely respectful. They're not trying to make themselves a target or piss off people at TikTok. They were just being respectful and just trying to convey their sadness in an attempt to make a change at TikTok. And Sasha Baron Cohen is not in the same bucket as most of the people. And he just annihilated you guys. I could not stop laughing. He was speaking fucking truths. And he was just basically saying, I understand why, up until this point, everybody on this call has been immensely respectful, but I don't give a fuck. I know how these things work. He has an organization that does things like this. And he's like, I've spoken to Mark Zuckerberg. I've spoken to everyone important in every country and every tech company in the world. I know that the issue that's going on on TikTok right now, spreading misinformation, boosting anti-Semitism, I know that is fixed with the click of a button.

[00:18:32]

I know it's one thing, and I know that you're not doing it. So you can say the guy from TikTok was like, Oh, we're trying to do better. He was like, That's bullshit. He said bullshit. That's bullshit. And then he asked the people from TikTok, What's your job? What is your job here? And it was like, these fancy titles. And he was like, Why isn't the CEO here? You're not taking this seriously. You're doing this to appease people. You're doing this for public perception. You have blood on your hands. This is the worst anti-Semitic propaganda movement since the Nazis. Spitting facts so hard, and he was talking... And then he turned his attention to all the creators being like, There is power in you protesting TikTok. Stop posting on there. Tell all your big friends to stop posting on there. I know it's your livelihood. I know it is, and I have empathy for that. But there is power in stopping promoting these types of apps. He just went on and on. Everybody's stunned. And then he just hangs up.

[00:19:23]

King.

[00:19:24]

Oh, my God. It was the most baller move I've ever seen in my life. There were no niceties. There were no, Hi, how are you? He came, he said his piece, and he left.

[00:19:41]

Obsessed. I mean, it's so true. Tiktok has been a problem for a while in a lot of different capacities in ways big and small. It's affecting kids. There's the mental health conversation. There's all these different things about TikTok. But what we're seeing now, I mean, literally a letter to Osama. It's beyond the pale.

[00:19:58]

And by the way, this was before the Osama letter, so we had this call, and then the next morning, Osama bin Laden is trending on TikTok. It couldn't have been more poetic.

[00:20:09]

I watched some of those videos of, I just read a letter to Osama, and I'll never look at the world the same again. And I'll never look at you the same again. It was so crazy to watch, and it was like, there's so many videos. They also all like, parrot the same language, the way that these people speak. And they also try to sound like so smart and educated. Scholarsly. Scholarsly, but it's really, really dark. But anyways, TikTok is a big problem. I mean, it's been a national security issue for a while. Now it's an actual security issue, and something has to be... I know I'm wrong, but whoever you guys were on a call with-.

[00:20:49]

They don't have the power.

[00:20:50]

They don't have the power. This is a Chinese app. They are happy to poison this country with this app. It's going how they want it to go.

[00:21:02]

Yeah, no. So it was like a fruitless call, and I think everybody knew that. But what are we going to do? Say no.

[00:21:08]

No, of course. And I don't know if someone was supposed to snitch or not, but I'm glad that it's making headlines.

[00:21:14]

Yeah, know me too. I'm so glad because now I can speak my truth, and I wasn't the snitch.

[00:21:18]

And Sasha Baron Cohen is a major voice.

[00:21:22]

Yes. And I think his voice is also made more potent by the fact that he doesn't use it all the time for everything.

[00:21:29]

No, he's not like a big speaker outer.

[00:21:32]

Not a big speaker. But when he speaks, you listen.

[00:21:34]

Yeah, he's also extremely smart.

[00:21:36]

Yeah, and funny.

[00:21:37]

And well respected in his field. And it was just honestly so crazy. I've actually met him once before at a party, and he was so incredibly nice, him and Ila. But seeing him in this... We're so used to seeing him... Aladin. Seeing him so serious and so poignant and so well-spoken and so powerful, I was like, Damn. Daddy. Yeah.

[00:22:02]

No, that's wild. I'm glad.

[00:22:04]

You could share- It was a crazy thing to be a part of, let me tell you.

[00:22:07]

I'm glad you could share your experience. Who invited you?

[00:22:11]

Who did invite me? The... Maybe it was... I don't know. Everybody keeps asking me to sign these letters. I'm just like, Yeah, put my name in. So I'm not sure. I think it was maybe A-Ton, but I'm not sure.

[00:22:24]

And you know who's an unproblematic queen who's been boycotting TikTok for a while now?

[00:22:29]

You. You?

[00:22:31]

May.

[00:22:32]

Yeah. Me. Yeah.

[00:22:36]

You guys get the fuck off TikTok, for real. I can't.

[00:22:41]

30. No, I know.

[00:22:43]

It's not even an issue for you, no offense. It's not like- Wow.

[00:22:48]

Wow.

[00:22:49]

It's never been your place.

[00:22:52]

Yeah, but it does feel like one of those things that's so big. What impact will me leaving have? Except robbing people of the joy I bring.

[00:22:59]

Sasha said you have an impact.

[00:23:01]

Sasha said. But Sasha didn't know I have no followers on that app.

[00:23:05]

But if it's a lot of little people, that matters.

[00:23:09]

Yeah.

[00:23:10]

No, it was- And you shouldn't have to see the things that you guys are seeing there. In your comments and also in your comments and also in your, for you, these videos.

[00:23:17]

Yeah, I know, and that's what people were sharing. Not only is the misinformation such a problem on the app, they have no way to monitor propaganda, sharing photos that aren't actually from this year, and people claiming that they're from yesterday, but the absolute vitriol that gets thrown the way of Jewish creators. And there are no tools for creators to protect themselves or protect their mental health. The really one tool that Instagram uses is you can block words. So people have literally, they were sharing like, I've been blocking the word Anne Frank because people just say Anne Frank and be like, Fuck Anne Frank, or Hitler was right. You can block phrases. And that tool barely even works because people will just be like, Hitler, with two R's, you know?

[00:24:03]

Right, or exclamation for.

[00:24:05]

The I. So there was talk about different tools that they could implement to protect creators, but that doesn't even solve the larger issue. It's just protecting creators. And wait, there was another thing. Oh, and they shared that in the wake of October seventh, 24 million new fake accounts were made. 24 million. I don't know if that was the day after the weeks, and I'm sure a lot of fake accounts get made every day, but that was an insane spike.

[00:24:36]

That is so interesting. Yeah, there's a lot of bot farming going on too, right now.

[00:24:42]

Yes.

[00:24:43]

For sure. That's part of the war that's.

[00:24:46]

Being waged on the internet. Social media.

[00:24:48]

Yeah, totally. Yeah, because it's a front of.

[00:24:50]

The war. Yeah, 1,000 %. So it was just a very interesting moment that took a turn I was not expecting.

[00:24:58]

Wow.

[00:24:59]

Well, and I love Sasha. Come over for Shabbat. I love you.

[00:25:03]

Yeah, I wonder what's going to happen with TikTok, honestly. A year ago or months ago, there's always this conversation that comes up about, on a federal level, banning TikTok because it's bad for national security.

[00:25:14]

They did say on the call at the beginning before anybody spoke, the thing about China, and he was like, I can assure you that's not true. Chinese interests aren't being funneled. That's what he said.

[00:25:27]

But how and why would that not.

[00:25:30]

Be true? Right. It's a Chinese-owned app.

[00:25:32]

Right. Why wouldn't they use it to serve whatever.

[00:25:35]

Ends- They want it to serve.

[00:25:37]

They want.

[00:25:37]

It to serve. And then it reminds me of that thing I saw on 60 Minutes that really stuck with me about TikTok, how, of course, they have it in China because it's a Chinese app, but they use it so differently in China because it's targeted towards youth. But all of the content is educational, so you can scroll for X amount of time, but you're watching videos about science, about engineering, about math, about history. You're rotting, but you're learning.

[00:26:00]

No, you're not watching people slap each other in the face with a tortilla.

[00:26:03]

And then when you compare it to the content on American TikTok, which is moronic, it does feel like, This feels like a tool.

[00:26:13]

Right, but it's like, I, right now miss the moronic use of TikTok. Right, harmless. -because now it's being used in really damaging, harmful ways. 1,000 %. But it's been bad for years. So I don't know what.

[00:26:28]

We'll be. Me neither. Yeah, either.

[00:26:30]

Very interesting. Our next story is also crazy. What is it? Diddy is the subject of an NYPD criminal investigation, apparently, and it involves a sexual assault. Diddy is the subject of a secret NYPD investigation, and although it's unclear if his ex-Cassie made the criminal complaint, there is strong evidence it involves sexual assault. Law enforcement sources tell T. M. Z. There's an open case at the NYPD with the name Sean Combs. We're told this is an active case, but the case file has been locked, essentially meaning it's a sensitive case where access is restricted. As T. M. Z. Reported, Cassie has followed an explosive federal lawsuit, which alleges rape and human trafficking, among other accusations.

[00:27:11]

That's insane.

[00:27:12]

T. M. Z. Inquired about the case to the NYPD, and they responded with this statement. The mypedie takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we could perform a comprehensive investigation.

[00:27:25]

We.

[00:27:25]

Know nothing. It would seem also that not only is this a sexual assault case, but the mypedie is actively looking for other alleged victims.

[00:27:33]

Right. They're not giving us much, but we know that there is an investigation and damn, like.

[00:27:41]

Human truth. An investigation and a lawsuit filed by Cassie also in this lawsuit. She accuses Diddy of blowing up Kid Cuddy's car in 2012. Diddy allegedly blew up Kid Cuddy's car after he discovered Kid Cuddy was wooing his former girlfriend, Cassie, while they were on a break in the shocking abuse lawsuit that Cassie filed against Diddy. She claims the rapper became so enraged about her new romance that he warned her around the time of Paris Fashion Week in 2012 that he would blow up Cuddy's car. Around that time, Kid Cuddy's car exploded in his driveway.

[00:28:15]

Oh, my God. This is like a movie.

[00:28:18]

Yeah. No, this is seriously crazy. No, and human trafficking? I mean, it could mean any number of things, but it could also mean passing her around.

[00:28:31]

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. No. Yeah. Yeah, it's very limited what we know, but the allegations are extremely severe.

[00:28:40]

Yeah. Oh, my God. And then also, I saw this morning that someone else is now coming forward.

[00:28:46]

His other ex once claimed that he stomped on her stomach and dragged her by his hair. So this is his ex, Gina, claimed that the rapper stomped on her stomach, punched her in the head during their five year relationship. She goes by the nickname Virginia V. She leveled the allegations in a 2019 interview, and that has resurfaced in light of Cassie's bombshell lawsuit against Diddy.

[00:29:08]

I imagine for Cassie to have launched an investigation and the lawsuit, she's probably been keeping a record for a very long time because she's a very powerful person. I think people make allegations, and probably most of them are true, against powerful people, and they don't stick unless you have years and years, like things that the public and the police can't ignore.

[00:29:35]

Yeah, and some of the other details from the lawsuit that she filed where she accused him of rape and repeated physical abuse. She said that she met him in 2005, when she was only 19. He allegedly began a pattern of abuse and control that included allegedly forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed, physically abusing her and supplying her with drugs. She also alleged that he forced his way into her home and raped her towards the end of their long time relationship in 2018.

[00:30:03]

Holy shit.

[00:30:04]

Like every manner of-.

[00:30:06]

Of horror. -of horror abuse. Oh, fuck this man.

[00:30:10]

Yeah.

[00:30:11]

Eew. Like gross hate for life. Yeah, hate for life. Done. Canceled. Canceled. Actually, canceled.

[00:30:19]

You would hope.

[00:30:20]

Yeah, I know. It's like when someone's so powerful, like he's really such a purveyor of culture, and he's been famous for so many years, it's very difficult to act... This is a person, when we talk about cancel culture, this is who should be canceled. This is a criminal, like a very violent criminal.

[00:30:37]

And it's like Harvey Weinstein in the sense of like, You think this person has so much power, they can be.

[00:30:44]

Taken down. Right, but it takes everyone collectively. And Harvey Weinstein, there were criminal charges against him, so he literally was canceled because he's going to jail, or if he's in jail, I don't even know. Right.

[00:31:00]

Well, so there is the lawsuit of her versus him, but there is also the NYPD criminal investigation, and they are looking for other victims, it seems.

[00:31:08]

I pray for Swift Justice.

[00:31:11]

Yeah.

[00:31:12]

I'm so sorry that this girl, who was 19, had to endure this terrible story.

[00:31:25]

Yeah, terrible.

[00:31:26]

Terrible story. And such graphic allegations, you know?

[00:31:29]

Yeah, and I mean, there's even more in the lawsuit.

[00:31:31]

Oh, I'm sure that, and I'm sure because it's sensitive, it's sealed.

[00:31:34]

There's the sealed case, but then also the lawsuit that just scratches the surface. There's a number of incidents.

[00:31:40]

It's incredibly brave. Incredibly brave to do this. This is a person who's so well connected, who's so powerful, who's so wealthy, and has been for 20 years. That's insane power. That's like an immovable force.

[00:31:57]

Yeah.

[00:31:58]

Very, very brave. And fuck him.

[00:32:03]

Swift Justice. Yeah. Our next story, switching gears a little. Please. Ariana Grande supports her boyfriend, Ethan Slater, at the opening night of his.

[00:32:12]

Musical Spam-A-Lot. No, and he was filmed out of... By T. M. Z. Yesterday leaving the courthouse for his divorce proceedings. Yeah, it's too much.

[00:32:22]

It's too much. Ariana Grande was spotted supporting her boyfriend, former Spunchbob, Ethan Slater, for the opening night of his musical. She was.

[00:32:30]

Photographed getting- Did you say former Spunchbob?

[00:32:32]

Yeah, because he played sponge Bob on Broadway. Yeah.

[00:32:35]

Where is the lie? No, there is not a lie. I was just wanting to make sure I heard you right.

[00:32:40]

The song, Trish, was photographed. Unless it's like once you're a sponge Bob, you're always a.

[00:32:43]

Sponge Bob. Once a Bob, always.

[00:32:45]

A Bob. Kind of like being an Olympian. You're not a former Olympian. You're always an Olympian.

[00:32:49]

Right. That's a good question. I guess we'd have to ask the Bob himself.

[00:32:54]

Sound.

[00:32:55]

Off in the comments. Once a sponge Bob, always a Spunchbob? Title? Title alert. Title alert. The song.

[00:33:05]

She's just photographed getting out of an SUV as she arrived to watch Spam-A-Lot on Broadway on Thursday- Spam-A-Lot?

[00:33:11]

You know me. She's British now. Oh, the crowd is out. So exciting. But is it the whole season?

[00:33:19]

Netflix doesn't do that to us too, except for Love is Lying. Love is Lying? Yeah. I don't know. You just.

[00:33:26]

Threw me off. Sorry.

[00:33:27]

She glammed up for the occasion sporting a black strappless velvet dress, sheer gloves, and pearl earrings. She wore her blonde hair up and a ponytail with a bright lead lip. Yeah, she looks gorgeous.

[00:33:37]

That's not the story. No, it's not. I saw a lot of pictures, people sneaking pictures of her inside the theater. Very supportive. I guess in a way, I'm glad they're still together. If you're going to blow up his life, at least let it be for something.

[00:33:53]

Yeah. I guess she's ready to take her relationship out of the town. They started dating in July, and November. Okay. I feel like we need to keep that in mind. So they've been dating probably six months at this point, and Ari.

[00:34:09]

Doesn't care. No, and I know we talked about this story at length when it dropped, but did we make note of Ariana Grande having the worst taste in men? No. Even the guy she married, like- Who? Right. I didn't think he was that cute. She had a good eye when she was dating Sean. I feel like they're OTP, even though I know he's literally in a 10 year relationship, and they're very happy.

[00:34:37]

And then she was with Ricky, whoever that is.

[00:34:39]

Right, he was the one who encouraged her.

[00:34:41]

Wrote some songs.

[00:34:41]

About Ricky. He was the one who encouraged her to lick the donuts. That was her bad gal era.

[00:34:45]

So that's a bad guy? Right. Now I listen and laugh.

[00:34:49]

He, Davison, is not a bad guy. No. I was talking more like looks. I don't think he's that great. And Mac Miller is not a bad guy. But I just feel like the crop of men, and now this one, I'm like, You're the biggest star in the world. Pull a Taylor Swift. Do a flip with Travis Kelsey.

[00:35:08]

Pull a Taylor Swift. I hope Taylor is inspiring people.

[00:35:11]

To just go for the obvious choice.

[00:35:13]

Yeah, shoot for the moon. Who's sexiest man alive?

[00:35:17]

Him. By the way, it's so funny, because when a really handsome guy dates the most obvious looking girl who's just like a model, honestly, it bothers me. I'm like, Just do something crazy, date a chubby girl. But when a girl does it, I love it. Go for the hottest thing you can find in your life.

[00:35:33]

No, but even if Ari was just dating a male model, that wouldn't do it for me.

[00:35:38]

It would be better.

[00:35:40]

Unless it was the biggest model that.

[00:35:43]

I've heard of. Yeah, but you couldn't even name one. Who's the biggest male model?

[00:35:48]

I cannot.

[00:35:49]

Name one. Who's just a model by trade who doesn't act or sing?

[00:35:54]

Who's a male model? I haven't known a male model since I watched Aethemotion.

[00:35:58]

Amazing reference.

[00:35:59]

I know, I mean that.

[00:36:02]

Most famous. There was that guy for many years who was like Ralph Lauren, Macho.

[00:36:08]

Oh, and then there's that guy from the Cardassians 365.

[00:36:13]

What?

[00:36:14]

Or that guy, he was on the Cardassians in Milan.

[00:36:18]

He's not a model. He's an actor. Michelle.

[00:36:21]

Michelle, yeah.

[00:36:23]

Okay. Tell me if you know any of these people. Alton Mason.

[00:36:27]

No.

[00:36:28]

Jordan Barrett.

[00:36:29]

No. No.

[00:36:30]

Tyson Beckford. That sounds familiar. Yes.

[00:36:34]

And let me know if you know any of them.

[00:36:35]

Or- Mark Vanderlou.

[00:36:38]

No.

[00:36:40]

Oh, interesting. Derek Zulander's name is loosely based on Vanderlou. Okay, so he must have been a big deal. Lucky Blue Smith. Actually, that name sounds familiar.

[00:36:49]

Yes.

[00:36:50]

Oh, Zach Miko. Do you know him?

[00:36:53]

No.

[00:36:54]

He made headlines in 2016. I remember this story making him IMG Models and the fashion industry's first plus size male model star. He's very brawn looking. I actually remember that story.

[00:37:08]

Is he actually famous?

[00:37:11]

No. I thought you were asking if he was actually fat.

[00:37:14]

No, no. Is he.

[00:37:15]

Actually a big star? No. Braden Hudson Kronig? No. Armando Krabal?

[00:37:23]

No. Okay, this is fruitless.

[00:37:24]

Okay, Sean O'Pree. And I only know him. He's the model in the blank space music video.

[00:37:30]

Okay. So say he's the biggest male model in the world. If Ari started dating him, I would be into that.

[00:37:38]

Yeah. I can't believe there's not one name that we're missing. Like the classic, Oh, yeah. I mean, David Beckham is on this list. That's not what I'm talking about. But all these lists say the same couple of people, and I've never heard of them. We need to talk more about that.

[00:37:55]

We need to talk more about that. Why is it so hard for male models to break out?

[00:38:01]

Because I feel like male models, when it comes to spreads and stuff, they're just background.

[00:38:06]

No, but there are as many men's companies and brands as there are women. For real, why don't they become famous?

[00:38:12]

Yeah, like Zegna.

[00:38:15]

Ralph Lauren? Anything. Yeah, I feel.

[00:38:17]

Like there was an era where Ralph Lauren had a couple of classic male models.

[00:38:25]

Works brothers. Ralph Lauren.

[00:38:27]

What is that guy's name that everybody... I think he was in Gossip Girl. Nacho? Yeah. It's like the classic guy. But he says, I'm not a model. I'm a polo player.

[00:38:42]

So weird. Someone needs to look into this.

[00:38:45]

Somebody's goal? Somebody needs to become the biggest male model of all time.

[00:38:49]

Because I could name a hundred female models right now.

[00:38:52]

I can name a thousand. From any generation. There was the '80s, the '90s, the early 2,000s, like.

[00:38:59]

Right now- Not one male bottle. Not one.

[00:39:02]

Who do you think is the biggest model in the world right now? Kemdahl?

[00:39:09]

Probably still Kemdahl, yeah. Good for her? Yeah, but I feel like we're due for.

[00:39:15]

A- I mean, I think it's Kaya Gerber, but she's still a little green.

[00:39:19]

Yeah, but I feel like we're due for a new generation. They're all the same generation, like a new wave.

[00:39:24]

Yeah. No, they're actually not all the same age. Kaya Gerber is super young.

[00:39:29]

No, but not the same age, but they're still the same generation. It's like eight.

[00:39:33]

Years different. Where is the 16 year old Carly Klas, who was at prom, got discovered, and the next day went to the Met Gala?

[00:39:39]

Yeah, we're due for some fresh faces. Yeah.

[00:39:41]

And may the industry- Exciting. May the industry protect them.

[00:39:45]

May. May the industry have learned.

[00:39:47]

What was the story here?

[00:39:48]

Ria supporting Ethan Slater.

[00:39:50]

Oh, okay, let's get back to that. I'm not here for it. I'm just going to be negative on this one. Like, why?

[00:39:56]

I mean, I don't think anybody's here for it. It's still a little soon, honestly.

[00:40:01]

I mean, he's literally still in court for his divorce. I saw him yesterday leaving the courthouse.

[00:40:06]

No, maybe when his daughter goes to college, he could start dating and stepping out with his new woman.

[00:40:11]

But until then, no. No, it's hell of disrespectful.

[00:40:15]

It's too soon. Not for them to be dating because they are obviously dating. It's too soon for them to be rubbing everyone's face in it.

[00:40:20]

Publicly, yeah, I completely agree. And I just, maybe I can't get behind this because I don't think they're a good couple and I don't want.

[00:40:27]

This for her. I have to imagine they're the most in love couple of.

[00:40:30]

All times. I don't think that they are. I think it's so Ari. I think she's just very whimsical. She's like, I'll leave my wife for you. She's like, Great. And in a few months, she might change her mind. I think she's just very fly by the seat of her pants type of energy. A little bit destructive, you know?

[00:40:45]

Yeah.

[00:40:46]

If I had to guess.

[00:40:49]

It's a fair guess. Our next story, are you ready.

Fans demand to know if rapper Snoop Dogg is okay. After he announced he will stop smoking weed. So Snoop Dogg posted saying, quote, I'm giving up smoke. He said, After much consideration and conversation with my family, I've decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time. So, of course, people are saying, a world Snoop without smoke is like Earth without water. Of course. Other people are saying that maybe he's launching a line of edibles or vapes.

[00:44:32]

Okay. Love that idea.

[00:44:34]

Because- Because he didn't say, I'm giving up weed, even though I don't think he talks.

[00:44:38]

Like that. But I think he calls it smoke. I think people in the know call it that. But it could be a play on words because this is a brilliant marketing move. Just absolutely brilliant. I think if Snoop Dogg ever wanted to stop smoking weed, like go off, King. We love that, I don't think he would share it, honestly, because it's such an integral part of his brand, and he's built a real business off of being that guy. And let's say he did stop smoking, I think he would probably never tell us. He would just keep pretending, smoking tobacco or whatever. I don't think he would actually tell us. I don't think this is a transparent move. I like that. I like that idea.

[00:45:18]

I think if he decided to stop engaging with-.

[00:45:23]

With.

[00:45:23]

The smoke? -marijuana completely. I think he would tell people because I think he's an authentic, genuine guy.

[00:45:29]

I don't know. I don't think he would live a lie. I don't think he would live a lie. I don't know, when it's such an integral part of your brand.

[00:45:33]

I think for some people, it's like, my brand is me. Whatever decisions I make are on brand for me, because that is me. And I think he is a genuine creator. I do.

[00:45:43]

No, I love the call about edibles.

[00:45:45]

But I think it's that. He's giving up smoke. Here are my brownies.

[00:45:50]

Yeah, because this made waves, especially within the smoke community.

[00:45:55]

Yeah.

[00:45:57]

When was the last time you smoked pot?

[00:45:59]

What a great question. I'm going to probably need your help. Maybe during COVID.

[00:46:07]

Oh, really? Once.

[00:46:09]

Yeah, remember that one time we got together? I can't remember if I participated, though. I know other people.

[00:46:15]

Were smoking. Where were we?

[00:46:17]

I can't say.

[00:46:20]

Because you don't remember? Because you were high?

[00:46:23]

No, I remember everything.

[00:46:25]

I can't remember. Oh, I think I know what you're.

[00:46:27]

Talking about. I actually don't think I smoked during COVID because I was vaping more so.

[00:46:31]

I.

[00:46:33]

Can't remember last time. I feel like maybe it was even at Coachella 2019.

[00:46:37]

That's what I was going to say, or Stage Coach.

[00:46:40]

Oh, yeah. Then two weeks later, yeah, we had a grand old time. But then I feel like I would have smoked again because I had such a good time, and then I would have had a bad...

[00:46:47]

Been like, Oh, I don't want to smoke again. Yeah, your last time had to have been a bad time.

[00:46:49]

Not bad, but just enough for me to be like, This isn't for me.

[00:46:53]

Yeah, I think my last time smoking pot, maybe ever, was Bourne-Ouis.

[00:46:56]

When was that?

[00:46:59]

When did that.

[00:46:59]

Clip go viral? -three to four months ago?

[00:47:01]

I thought you're going to say years.

[00:47:04]

No, you just say everything is three to four months.

[00:47:06]

Maybe a year? More than a year, actually, because I know I was pretty fat in that clip.

[00:47:12]

Yeah, and that was the last time. I feel like you smoked recently.

[00:47:15]

No, I don't- I feel like you're.

[00:47:17]

Always smoking. Really?

[00:47:19]

I don't know. No, I really don't like pot at all. It makes me very paranoid.

[00:47:26]

It's just not my personality. If I want to chill, I'll just.

[00:47:30]

Go read. I need no help in the chill department.

[00:47:33]

Yeah, that's how I feel.

[00:47:35]

Right, I would be more likely to take X to C because getting up is hard for me.

[00:47:41]

Getting it up is.

[00:47:41]

Hard for you. Getting it up, yeah. I need energy. I need drugs for energy. I don't need drugs for chilling.

[00:47:49]

Yeah, if I have the opportunity to chill, I'm just going.

[00:47:51]

To take it. Yeah, I know. But if somebody wants to go out on it, all right, I'm going to need someone to crush up an Adderall or something.

[00:47:56]

Right. I also don't need... At this point in my life, I don't want to be out of my.

[00:48:01]

Own mind. Yeah, I mean, you have children to care for, like that I understand.

[00:48:04]

No, but that's how I felt about drinking at a certain point too. People drink to take the edge off. I like my edges. I don't want to.

[00:48:14]

Be blurry. No, I agree. I'm just personality wise, the opposite of someone who wants or needs pot. I don't know what to call pot. Every time we talk about pot, everybody makes fun of us. What do people call it?

[00:48:25]

Smoke. Why do we talk like Snoop? Smoke.

[00:48:27]

I'm just the opposite type of person, the way my brain is wired for smoke. I agree. I very much like to be in control.

[00:48:34]

Yeah.

[00:48:35]

So I agree.

[00:48:36]

Except for those few times, why have we enjoyed so much at Stagecoach and Coachella?

[00:48:42]

Well, there's something about being so far from home. You're in the desert. You're so far removed. There's music, there's drinks, there's lights, there's vibes like, Oh, actually, I'm sorry. By the way, the last.

[00:48:53]

Time- Actually, you know what? That's a situation where I can't bring myself to chill out. It's very high, strong. It's actually the perfect vibe.

[00:49:01]

Okay, by the way, I just remember the last time I smoked pot was at Stagecoach. Somebody was passing it around during Luke Bryan. And I was like, If not now, when? And I had drank all day- This year. This year. I had drank all day, so I figured it wouldn't hit me that much. And of course, I'm watching Luke Bryan perform, and I'm paranoid about it. It wasn't even enjoyable. That's the last time, and that's why I haven't smoked in a long time because it wasn't enjoyable.

[00:49:23]

Got it. Those two times in 2019 were hysterical.

[00:49:28]

Hysterical. It also just depends where you are, the vibes. It also depends on the pot itself. I would love to be the type of person who, after a really fucking horrible day, could just wind down with some pot. How great would that be? But I'll just end up paranoid, sleep terribly, and eat a shit ton.

[00:49:46]

But if you're able to wind down without pot, then why would you want to be the.

[00:49:50]

Type of person- No, if I had a very hard, stressful day, and I can't unwind. People feel anxious and then smoke. I'm like, No, I smoke, and then Itry to feel anxious.

[00:50:01]

So when you feel anxious, what do you do?

[00:50:04]

Complain, take a bath.

[00:50:06]

Papa.

[00:50:07]

Zan? No, I don't really... I just drink. In my heyday, I think maybe I was a little bit more open to things, but everything makes me paranoid now.

[00:50:19]

Even a Zanax?

[00:50:20]

Friendly Fire? I don't take Zanax.

[00:50:23]

I haven't taken Zanax in years, and I miss it.

[00:50:27]

I just... I don't know why, I don't feel compelled, but also, I don't want to jinks it. I've had a pretty good two years in terms of mental health, so I haven't needed it. That's good. But I was definitely taking Xanax a lot during COVID. I mean, who wasn't?

[00:50:46]

Totally. That was a nice clear of the throat. And also, I would have to take Xanaxol more when I used to drink.

[00:50:51]

Yes, same. So I could sleep off the hangover.

[00:50:54]

Yeah, and the moral hangover. Of course. And the anxiety. Oh, my God.

[00:50:58]

Do you.

[00:50:59]

Miss it? It's a vicious cycle. No, I don't. I'm off the sauce.

[00:51:05]

We will be getting you drunk one night on vacation.

[00:51:09]

Okay.

[00:51:10]

That's fine. Just bring the science. And we will take care of you the next day. We'll watch the kids. We'll do everything.

[00:51:15]

Actually, I was going to say I haven't taken Xanax in years because I've either been pregnant or nursing. But then Chantelle did tell me I could take Xanax while breastfeeding. Don't tell me that. Again, I don't want to be out of my.

[00:51:29]

Own mind. Yeah.

[00:51:30]

So we'll see about that vacation plan. Maybe some drinks.

[00:51:38]

Our fifth and.

[00:51:39]

Final story is a story we've been waiting for 10 years. Oh, wow. Yeah, and today's the day. Ted, the series is coming to Peacock.

[00:51:49]

I saw this on your Instagram. You broke the news.

[00:51:51]

You know who broke the news for me? Who? Cade, posted it.

[00:51:56]

Yeah.

[00:51:56]

For fans of the Ted movies, a new series focused on the events in the years before the movies is coming to Peacock early next year. Set in 1993, the Ted series acts as a prequels to the two comedy movies featuring the titular talking Teddy Bear.

[00:52:09]

Okay.

[00:52:10]

Ted prequels. Seth McFarland is the series director, executive producer, writer, and co-showwriter.

[00:52:17]

So it's 93. How old is Ted and Mark Wallberg?

[00:52:19]

Mark Wallberg is probably the age he was when he got to it, so maybe eight.

[00:52:24]

Oh, so Mark Wallberg is not in it.

[00:52:26]

That's a good point. That's a good point.

[00:52:32]

Yeah, I guess he's going to be older because in the movie, a couple of years ago, he's 30. Yeah. So let's say he's 35 now. How old were people in 1993 who are currently 35?

[00:52:47]

Oh, wow, Claudia. You didn't tell me there's going to be a pop quiz today.

[00:52:51]

No, totally. I don't know.

[00:52:53]

But no, you're right. He's not in the cast of characters like his character is, but not-.

[00:52:59]

I have a take. I think that the franchise could go on without Mark Wallberg. I honestly find him a little annoying in the movies. I agree. Ted is the star. Let's stop pretending he's not.

[00:53:10]

Yeah. No, it's all about Ted. This is not Make or Break. It's going to be a seven-episode series, and I feel-.

[00:53:14]

Looks like I'm signing up for Peacock.

[00:53:16]

I feel very steam.

[00:53:18]

I feel so happy that the franchise lives on. And I think as a society, we have failed Seth McFarland.

[00:53:25]

In.

[00:53:26]

Not bolstering and boosting this franchise into... It should be as big as Marvel. It's the most brilliant, well done, actually funny. Not ha-ha. It's actually funny. Yeah. I'm not talking about me because you and I supported the shit out of that franchise, but everyone else. You guys failed comedy. You guys failed Ted. You guys failed Seth McFarland. And I think we collectively owe him an apology that he's now having to do a seven-episode series at Peacock, when there should be a third Blockbuster film with a premiere as big as Captain Marvel.

[00:54:09]

Okay, I agree that we need Ted 3. It should be bigger than Ropenheimer. Yeah. Like, Ted is bigger than Barbie to me.

[00:54:17]

Ted?

[00:54:17]

Greater than Barbie. But I don't feel like the movies were not a success. I think they were very much a success. It's just so long ago that.

[00:54:28]

It was forgotten. I actually don't think they would be considered gangbusters.

[00:54:33]

I think they would be gangbusters.

[00:54:36]

Let me look it up.

[00:54:37]

Box office numbers. I feel like-.

[00:54:39]

Ted grossed $218 million in North America and $330 million overseas for a gross of $550 million against a budget of $50 million.

[00:54:50]

Success.

[00:54:51]

Let's check Ted too.

[00:54:55]

I don't know if it would be better or worse.

[00:54:57]

I think it would be worse. Is half. So Ted grossed 80 million in North America, and 135 million in other territories for a total of 216 million. And they had a bigger budget. They had 68 million this time.

[00:55:12]

That's hard. I struggle with Ted, too.

[00:55:16]

Yeah. Because Mila Kunis isn't in it?

[00:55:20]

And because it just wasn't great enough.

[00:55:25]

It wasn't great enough.

[00:55:27]

And I think Mila Kunis not being in it was a plot hole. And Amanda Seaford wasn't.

[00:55:33]

The replacement for me. Wait, Amanda Seaford. What was the plot of Ted too?

[00:55:37]

Ted's getting his rights because Fresh Cakes guy wants to steal him.

[00:55:43]

Honestly, I don't even remember. Yikes.

[00:55:45]

You know the guy who wanted to kidnap Ted. Fresh Cakes. Fresh Cakes, of course. Dana.

[00:55:51]

He reminds me of Dana. And by the way, he's also one of the people who signed that letter for Danny Mastersen, unless we not forget.

[00:55:57]

Fresh.

[00:55:57]

Cakes. Fresh Cakes.

[00:55:59]

Anyway, so he goes to the CEO of Hasbro, and it's like, Ted is property. We should be able to make a million. We should be able to recreate Ted. Let's get Ted back from John Bennett. And then Ted has to go to the Supreme Court and advocate why he should have rights and why he's on a property.

[00:56:16]

That's not great.

[00:56:17]

And Amanda Seaford is their civil rights lawyer.

[00:56:23]

Okay, yeah, maybe not. But Ted won't is the greatest piece of art, literally, of our time. And I need to watch it again.

[00:56:32]

Wait, I need to add it to the list.

[00:56:33]

Of movies. Yeah, we need to rewatch. It's so good. I went to New York once in 1981, and I just did not feel safe. We need Seth McFarland.

[00:56:47]

On the toast. I married the wrong woman.

[00:56:49]

And now.

[00:56:50]

I lead a life of regret. And now I lead a life of regret. So good. My voice today sounds really.

[00:56:55]

Good for that one. It does. It does. Do it again. I won't interrupt you this time.

[00:57:00]

Cool things. I married the wrong woman, and now I lead her life of regret.

[00:57:06]

No, that scene is so funny when he's pretending to be all.

[00:57:10]

The fish. Yeah, what the fish are thinking.

[00:57:11]

I went to New York once in 1981, and I just did not feel safe. So good.

[00:57:17]

So good.

[00:57:19]

Oh, my God. I'm joyous over this. I will be watching, of course.

[00:57:23]

We should watch the other Seth McFarland show.

[00:57:26]

Family Guy?

[00:57:28]

Family Guy, yeah.

[00:57:29]

That's the one. What are you talking about?

[00:57:31]

The Orville.

[00:57:33]

Oh, yeah, like sci-fi.

[00:57:36]

It's Seth.

[00:57:37]

Do you think Seth McFarland's hot? Yeah. Me too. I think he's really hot, but I think it's a combination of his looks.

[00:57:45]

His insights influencing his outsides.

[00:57:47]

Yeah, and the influence he's had on.

[00:57:49]

The culture. Wait, but now I need to look at a picture of him objectively, like just looking at eyes, nose, face.

[00:57:58]

Me too. Is that he literally looks like his characters. Do you know what I mean? Also, he looks like Taylor Launer.

[00:58:07]

Yeah, he does.

[00:58:09]

I think he's hot. I think he's hot.

[00:58:10]

He looks so different.

[00:58:11]

Yeah, I think he's hot. But I think definitely, his insides color his outsides.

[00:58:17]

And you love that. I mean, everyone's insides color.

[00:58:19]

Their outside. It's true. That's why I'm so ugly. I've actually met Seth McFarland. I can't remember if he was nice. I'm sure he was. I would have remembered if he was nasty. So It's why. He was probably not-.

[00:58:31]

You wouldn't support.

[00:58:32]

Him all these years. Right. No, he was probably lovely.

[00:58:35]

And he met Ted.

[00:58:36]

And I've met the real Ted, I have.

[00:58:38]

The bear. She's seen the bear.

[00:58:40]

I've seen the bear many times, and I've gaffaut over it so many times. I keep hoping it'll be given to me as a gift. You're like, Oh, I know how much it meant to you. Here, take it. Do you.

[00:58:48]

Not think that on set, they have multiple Teds? They really only have one bear?

[00:58:53]

No. So I think that they have multiple bears. But I believe that the bear that I came in contact with was the bear yous used in the studio for CGI. They didn't need a million in the studio. Ted wasn't on set, Jackie. Cgi. Are you okay? I'm trying to think. Gi, right? Right.

[00:59:17]

So that's our show.

[00:59:25]

That is our show, our final of the week. Hope everybody enjoyed it, and hope everybody has a joyous, blessed weekend filled with holiday cheer.

[00:59:33]

And the amazing news is that the next time we see you guys, Virch will.

[00:59:36]

Be available. Yes. So it's shoptoastmerch. Com. It'll be live at 10:00 AM Eastern time. We are launching two different sets. They both come with matching sweatpants. Jackie is wearing the Wenshi lights. I am wearing the Wenshi Reindeer. I am wearing a size medium for a more fitted look. But of course, oversized is still cool. I could also do a large. What size are you wearing?

[00:59:54]

I'm wearing extra large. It's too big on me. I've never thought I'd say those words about anything large. If I wanted oversized, I should have gotten with large.

[01:00:04]

And keep in mind that it is pre-order, so it's not going to sell out. We're going to leave it up probably for two whole days so everybody can place their orders, get everything they want in terms of sizing, and then we will close the store and start producing the sweatshirts and shipping out your orders.

[01:00:17]

Also, it's worth noting that these sweatshirts and sweatpants are not the same as any that we've.

[01:00:23]

Made before. We have launched, by the way, we have done a complete revamp of our merch. We have moved companies. We have moved vendors. We have moved everything. So this is much higher quality.

[01:00:33]

Yeah. So these sweatshirts and sweatpants are not comparable to a different set. It's not going to be the same quality or fit. These are far superior, in my opinion, and I'm really excited for you guys to get your hands on them.

[01:00:46]

Yes. So totally new merch, totally new everything. We're trying to keep the prices... It's more expensive stuff that we're using. We are trying to keep the prices as low as possible, but it will be more expensive than our last draw. Yeah. So just keep that in mind.

[01:00:57]

But the quality is there, and it's like the cozyest thing. I wore my oneshirt all day yesterday, and I was just in heaven.

[01:01:03]

Me too. And it's really warm.

[01:01:06]

Yeah.

[01:01:07]

That's our show you guys. Thank you so.

[01:01:08]

Much for listening to the just - But not that heavy, thick. Again, it's not comparable to anything else. But when you say.

[01:01:13]

Really warm - It's not the same as the Redheads one.

[01:01:15]

Redheads or How you doon. Those were thick stock. Yeah, this is not thick stock.

[01:01:19]

It's actually pretty thin.

[01:01:20]

But it's not thin. Because thin would be the second Redheads collection.

[01:01:24]

Yeah. No, it's not. It's thicker than that. Thank you guys so much for to listening to the Millennial Morning show where we deliver the deliver the stories that you need to do every Monday through Friday and YouTube. So if you're watching us on YouTube, please YouTube, please to subscribe and give us a video thumbs up. We're also available on the podcast and we're also available on Spotify, tune to the show. [01:01:44]

She still got it.

[01:01:46]

Love you. Bye.

[01:01:48]

Love you. Bye.
