[00:01:20]

Come on, baby. Crack it.

[00:01:22]

I already cracked it. It's open, baby.

[00:01:24]

Thanks for waiting.

[00:01:25]

It's Cometo, baby.

[00:01:27]

Let's go.

[00:01:38]

Hey.

[00:01:39]

How you like me now?

[00:01:41]

Welcome back to Zane and Heath unfiltered, baby. I'm Zane.

[00:01:45]

I'm Heath. I'm Matt.

[00:01:46]

I'm Mariah. And we are all unfiltered. That's right, baby. All the time, baby. Welcome back on a Monday/ Tuesday morning. Hope you're having a wonderful day. Hope you're having a good exercise, have a good workout. Hope you're having a good work day. I don't know what the hell you're doing right now, but I hope you're enjoying yourself while listening to this. Jordan.

[00:02:03]

I'm just going to have Jordan lower.Jordan.

[00:02:03]

Just dial him down.It.

[00:02:04]

Just has to dial it down.

[00:02:05]

It's just so crispy where it's like the... It's like all like... It's poppy.

[00:02:11]

Oh, it's poppy?

[00:02:11]

It's not audibly poppy. We're learning. We just got new mics. That's right. You're probably hearing a little change in the audio. We got these beautiful mics, color-coded. Keith got a gold one. Come on now. I got an orange one. Keith wanted a gold one. He just wanted to be the... It fit the vibe.

[00:02:28]

It fits his jewelry.

[00:02:29]

Yeah, that's true.

[00:02:31]

It does.

[00:02:32]

I liked red for Shirley Temple.

[00:02:33]

Keith was also just a lot more expensive than the rest of our mics.

[00:02:37]

It was not a lot more expensive.

[00:02:38]

He wanted to be the Chanel of the mics, and we're just going to give him that. Yeah, for sure. We're going to give him that.

[00:02:42]

It was $50 more.

[00:02:45]

Is it real gold? Why do they have to make it more expensive?

[00:02:48]

It's a different finish. Because there's more into it. You got to get the metal going. Is it real gold?

[00:02:53]

No.

[00:02:54]

Then why is it got to be more expensive?

[00:02:56]

It's easier to paint something orange than it is to go through a chemical wash process to get the...

[00:03:02]

Do you think your hand's going to turn green like a fake ring?

[00:03:05]

I think they just know the consumer behavior of somebody who wants to buy something gold. They're willing to pay a little bit extra just because it's gold.

[00:03:13]

If somebody wants a gold toilet, they're going to be like, They got money. They want that.

[00:03:17]

It's a finish. I'm not wearing my wedding ring.

[00:03:20]

Why? We were all thinking it. I thought something happened.

[00:03:23]

No, nothing has happened. I just took a shower before he came and I left it on the kitchen. I thought you had a lot of shower with your wedding ring on. I don't. I think I need to still wear it longer. Maybe I should start sleeping with it. I don't know. Sometimes I just like it off me.

[00:03:38]

Is it because it's real that it doesn't rust under water?

[00:03:43]

I think so. I just don't like the odds of it slipping away. I don't know.

[00:03:46]

Like a down the drain scenario?

[00:03:48]

Yeah. Also, I'm washing my hair. I'm worried about it snagging on something.

[00:03:53]

I just feel like you're being unfaithful in the shower in some way.

[00:03:56]

Listen, Patricia, she doesn't shower with her wedding ring on. Do you shower with your wedding on?

[00:04:00]

Yeah, I do. Oh, damn. I've never taken it off.

[00:04:03]

Oh, wow.

[00:04:04]

Mariah's actually her hand is outside of the shower when she's showered. She is committed and loyal.

[00:04:08]

I'm doing construction with it.

[00:04:11]

I know we've been going through some insane weather.

[00:04:15]

It's been brutal.

[00:04:16]

Flooding out the wazoo in this city.

[00:04:19]

Oh, I was worried for people.

[00:04:20]

I just feel like our planet is just constantly on a juice cleanse. It's just a cleanse in this city. I'm just seeing Carl's... Have you seen the videos? I don't see it bad anywhere near us. It's just a lot of water- San Diego got really bad. It's so bad. I'm just surprised it's not here because I feel like we're built to have total destruction for weather like that.

[00:04:45]

I don't realize how big mudslides can happen out there in the hills.

[00:04:48]

I always just thought it was a drink.

[00:04:50]

No, a mudslide.

[00:04:52]

That's all my mom would get on vacation. She'll be like, Let me get a mudslide.

[00:04:56]

A mudslide. Is that like a Bushwacker? A what? A I thought a mudslide was like a dessert with the gummy worms in there.

[00:05:04]

No, that's a cup of dirt, baby. Oh, I love that. The TGI Friday's cup of dirt. Oh, my God. It was like pudding with Oreo crumbles and then like a gummy worm. That was good. No, a mudslide, yeah. What is it? Kalua chocolate. It's just like what your mom would drink.

[00:05:18]

Oh, yeah, a mudslide.

[00:05:20]

I think we made some of those one time. You want a milkshake? Oh, yeah, we did.

[00:05:23]

The big bear trip. The Kalua trip. He got a fancy schmancy brand of Kalua, and we went to Big Bear and made some mudslides.

[00:05:32]

It's when you want to get drunk off a milkshake. That's all it is.

[00:05:34]

But a Bushwacker is similar to that, but it's more frozen. It's borderline. I think it's almost like an icy.

[00:05:42]

Oh, it's more like a frappe. Yes.

[00:05:45]

Just like that. Just like that.

[00:05:47]

Catch me. Remember, Remember, Cheesecake Factory, the Monkey, the Chocolate Monkey or the Chocolate Munko?

[00:05:54]

They don't have it anymore.

[00:05:55]

I don't know if they have it anymore, but Keith and I would get destroyed. Slam.

[00:06:01]

It would take you four of them, and then you're just downing four extra-large chocolate milk shakes.

[00:06:06]

Every time they'd bring us another one, they would spike it even more because they knew we were enjoying ourselves.

[00:06:11]

I think they were looking off our calories.

[00:06:13]

Because they don't You don't get drunk at Cheesecake, but when they see people are getting drunk, they're like, This is fun. Let's take care of our customers. Let me help out a bit. I want to go there when I'm done.

[00:06:26]

The flying gorilla. Oh, boy, that's what it was.

[00:06:28]

The Flying Gorilla. Guys, when you go to Cheesecake, get the Flying Gorilla. Get it extra spiked.

[00:06:34]

Is that a Wizard of Oz reference? Or no, it's a flying monkey, right?

[00:06:39]

I don't know. It'll make you feel like you're in the Wizard of Oz.

[00:06:42]

But yeah, do me a favor, Matt. If you go to Cheesecake Factory ever again, it used to be such a hot spot. Why don't people go there anymore? I feel like it's still a good quality.

[00:06:49]

It still is.

[00:06:50]

No, you know why? Because it's always in malls now, and nobody wants to go to a mall to go to a restaurant.

[00:06:56]

There's a standalone in Pasadena that's really nice.

[00:06:58]

Yeah, but that's all the way in Pasadena. Imagine it was right on the street. We'd be there all the time.

[00:07:04]

I love Cheesecake Factory.

[00:07:05]

So good.

[00:07:06]

It's a blend of design elements. It has this Mediterranean vibe, but with these Russian turrets.

[00:07:13]

Super Vegasy, Greek.

[00:07:15]

Didn't someone say the inside of a Cheesecake Factory just looks like the inside of a Girls of China? You're just walking, you're like, Wow.

[00:07:22]

By the time you leave, the cheesecakes are such an afterthought. It's like you didn't even come there for the cheesecake.

[00:07:29]

They're That's how they get you, right? Because everyone's like, Well, we have to try the cheesecake. That's another thing.

[00:07:36]

I just love the restaurants that everybody can win.

[00:07:39]

If nobody knows what they want, you know cheesecake is a good option because there's something for everybody.

[00:07:45]

That's how I describe whenever I go to a restaurant and the menu is just so big and so large, I go, Oh, they got a cheesecake factory menu. Cheesecake factory owns the market of just having a menu, and they have everything. Did they ever switch things out?

[00:08:03]

Boy, their overhead has to be insane.

[00:08:04]

How does a waiter memorize that menu? Oh, my brother did. That's like a dissertation when they bring that out.

[00:08:12]

My brother worked at the sister company of Cheesecake Factory. It was called... Do you remember the one in Sawgrass Mall?

[00:08:18]

I don't.

[00:08:20]

It was pretty much... It looked just like Cheesecake Factory, but it was another restaurant. It was like a sister company. My brother had to memorize this packet this thick. Grand Lux. Grand Lux. This thick. My brother would get so stressed out every night because he literally had to memorize it and you can't screw up. You need to know everything front and back of the menu.

[00:08:40]

All down to the ingredients, too. It's not just the name of the dish because someone's like, I don't want tomatoes in that. You'd be like, Sure. You're like, Is there even tomatoes in it?

[00:08:50]

The bad thing about this restaurant was that because it was in Sawgrass Mall and the amount of tourists that went in that mall, nobody ever tipped. My brother would work his ass off at this place.

[00:09:01]

It's a big tourist spot for foreigners.

[00:09:05]

When foreigners come into America, they're not used to tipping. A lot of them, they know that they can get away with pretending that they don't need to tip in America.

[00:09:18]

There's a lot of stories, a lot of stories of people online talking about how it's not...

[00:09:25]

Restaurants that have a big tourist customer base, it's You just might as well not work there because you're just not going to make any money from tip because they make a lot of their money from Ted. But he would make no money. He'd walk out like 20 bucks in tips because he'd get like 2.50 an hour, $2.50 an hour. So he just quit. He quit after two months. It's so crazy.

[00:09:47]

What about pizza places like Domino's? When they're rolling up, is that Domino's car, or is that a guy who works for Domino's? And does Domino's pay for that gas?

[00:09:58]

Good question. When there's a domino, A random car with a dominoes light? Yeah.

[00:10:04]

Is that dominoes his car? One dominoes, if those are your cars, upgrade them. You're still driving around a 1995 Honda Accord.

[00:10:11]

Why is it always a blue Accord that's a 1996? It's always those cars. I've never seen. I've never seen a-Yeah, let's get them in a nice F150 or something.

[00:10:23]

Go the pizza in the back.

[00:10:25]

Little Pizza Planet car or something. Come on.

[00:10:27]

Just make it fun. Get them a Bronco.

[00:10:30]

Because then I'm like, is that tip having to go to the gas? Because hopefully, Domino's is paying for it. I would imagine. Okay, good. But yeah, Pizza Guys, though, man. Shout out to Pizza Guys.

[00:10:41]

Just delivery men?

[00:10:42]

There was a point in my life-Delivery people, too.

[00:10:43]

There was a point in my life where I really wanted to be a pizza delivery driver. I just thought it was such a cool job. Because this was before Uber and before all that. So my head was like, It's so cool. You get to just drive around for work and you just smell pizza all day.

[00:10:56]

And you have that leather-The A good leather briefcase. Can I touch it? Give me it. It's all just hot and warm. I want to smell the inside of it.

[00:11:06]

The most satisfying when you would see them start to unzip it as they're bringing the front of it to pop and open. Wow. Good times. Childhood pizza delivery because we didn't do it often. My dad was always the person like, I'll go pick it up. But when we would go to my grandparents house, they'd be like, Let's just get it delivered.

[00:11:24]

You guys were... It was a big budget night. When you're doing delivery, it's like, Oh, we got money. We got paid this week.

[00:11:31]

It's like, Okay, we're doing good. But the tip would always be like, they'd be like, Here, go give them a tip. I remember walking over with $2. But I guess at the time, $2 was a good tip.

[00:11:43]

Well, yeah, because pizza was $8. Yeah, that's true.

[00:11:46]

That's true. I know in Home Alone, when he says all the whole order and how much the pizza order is, you're like, That's how much that pizza was back then? Even though it's a lot. But what was I thinking about Domino's? What I love about Domino's is the little tracker. Be like, oh, it's in the oven. Oh, we're doing a quality check on it. Is that all a guesstimate or is there really a sense of it?

[00:12:07]

No, I don't think it's actually... I think they take a time and then they just play around with the app.

[00:12:10]

That would require somebody to be punching a button in. Quality check right now.

[00:12:16]

I just want to give a shout out to Domino's how far they've come. I don't know if we talked about this last podcast. Maybe it was the unwind, but shout out to Domino's for really coming back strong with the quality of their pizza.

[00:12:28]

That crunchy, thin crust.

[00:12:29]

It It's insane. You know they make a thick one now? They make a thick one. You know how Pizza Hut has the thick one? I love the Pizza Hut Express one. Give me that.

[00:12:38]

Oh my God.

[00:12:39]

It's my favorite pizza.

[00:12:40]

I don't claim this.

[00:12:41]

Cheese crust. I wish the cheese crust was a consistent thing.

[00:12:46]

What do you mean the cheese crust?

[00:12:48]

The cheese stuffed crust?

[00:12:49]

I've never had cheese stuffed crust.

[00:12:52]

It's too much.

[00:12:53]

The whole rim is-I'm already getting the... 90% is already cheese.

[00:12:57]

Why do I want cheese in my crust? The whole rim is a mozzarella stick.

[00:12:58]

It's like, I'm good. Get a side of mozzarella sticks do you want that so bad? I like my breadsticks with no cheese in it. Why?

[00:13:05]

Just too much. But then I also feel really stupid ordering a side of breadsticks or cheesy bread and then dipping it in marina. Sorry, Bob. Marina. Marina. But it's literally like Let me get a pizza with a side of deconstructed pizza that I'm going to make on my own on the side. It doesn't make any sense.

[00:13:21]

You know how people make homemade cakes?

[00:13:26]

Or like, little...

[00:13:29]

Sorry. Are you You're sure you want to answer that?

[00:13:30]

I just got two back-to-back calls. Yeah, you've gotten a lot of calls. You're sure you want to answer that?

[00:13:33]

I feel like someone would text me and be like, Call me now. I've always had that fear. People go, Disconnect. If you're without your phone, you're fine. But I'm always like, But what if something bad happens? It's not like I need to be connected on social media. I just want to know if...

[00:13:49]

Last night, it was eight o'clock, and Zane got a call from his dad. Can I say this? Yeah. Zane got a call from his dad, and he looked at it, but we were discussing something, and he was like, Oh, I'll call him back later. And I was like, No, maybe answer because it's 11 o'clock over there. Right. My dad never calls. He was like, Yeah, you're right. My dad never calls. So he called him back right away, and his dad was like, I'm in Vegas.

[00:14:08]

I'm going to the Super Bowl.

[00:14:10]

And he was like, That's why you called me?

[00:14:13]

Because my dad thought I was going to the Super Bowl this week, which is weird because I never told him I was going to the Super Bowl. He just assumed I was going. And what sucks, what sucks is that normally when there's a big event happening, usually we'll go. We get invited to a thing or two. Just coincidentally, I've been invited to six, seven different parties surrounding the Super Bowl. So I'm just like, I'm so close to finishing this fitness journey. I'm just like, I can. That sucks. And then the second my dad is like, Oh, I'm going to the Super Bowl. I'm working with the Chiefs. I'm like, You got to be kidding me. What are the odds? Because if I was there, my dad could have easily got me in.

[00:14:59]

Your dad's cool, man.

[00:14:59]

To see the game. This is a selfie with Taylor. It just sucks. It just sucks how much I've... How much opportunity I've lost because of the stupid, stupid shit that I've been... It's going to be worth it. I know.

[00:15:09]

That's a very... I know you don't want to hear it, but you're very strong to turn it down because of this journey.

[00:15:17]

Also, you could do these things and just be good. No.

[00:15:19]

Why would I want to go to Vegas Super Bowl, six parties, and not eat anything I want to eat or drink anything I want to drink? What's the fun in that? It's possible. It's not fun, though. It's easy for you to say because you don't do it anymore.

[00:15:37]

But I did, and I had to get through it.

[00:15:39]

I know, but you don't drink anymore. It's not like you drink again, and now you're portion control. You've quit it completely, so it's easy coming from you.

[00:15:46]

But you got it.

[00:15:47]

What do you mean I got it? You could do it. No, I can't.

[00:15:50]

I'd have to have a drink at the Super Bowl. Yeah, big fat bud light.

[00:15:54]

I don't even know what's going on in the field. I just know that we're all on the same page.

[00:15:57]

You still got to wait in the line at the Super Bowl. I'm If you're paying that much money.

[00:16:02]

Yeah. I don't want to be like, I got to go wait. The lines, it's even worse.

[00:16:07]

I bet now, no, they've figured out the new age concessions where it's like you go and pick it up and then you check out at a different time.

[00:16:15]

I don't know. I've been to a few games recently. It's still bad.

[00:16:18]

It's still lines and a whole process.

[00:16:21]

Unless they make more kiosks and more bars, I just don't think there's a better way to do it where you're able to monitor everything. Because even ordering on the app and then going up, that can get really messy, too. Because what are you showing? You're showing like a...

[00:16:35]

Id. Yeah. I don't know.

[00:16:37]

It could get messy. But yeah, so my dad is in Vegas, and he's going to have fun at the Super Bowl while I'm doing app crunches.

[00:16:46]

What does he do for the Chiefs when he's there? Just make sure all of their people get their tickets.

[00:16:52]

So what my dad does, he's a freelancer, right? So he waits for emails to come in for different companies, like chaperone companies and companies that they need help moving a group of people to a certain place. It's people that you see when you imagine when you go to a game and you just see random people in collar shirts maneuvering people, but you know they don't work at the stadium. It's those type of people.

[00:17:15]

It's like a brand liaison.

[00:17:17]

It's like a classy bodyguard.

[00:17:19]

Escorts the brand to do certain things at a time and make sure the itinerary is running.

[00:17:24]

He's like Ms. Ungemaillard in the Lizzie McGuire movie.

[00:17:26]

But man, those people... That was a good job. When I worked my dad on that, and I only got it because my dad.

[00:17:32]

You went to the Olympics, right? Yeah.

[00:17:35]

I was getting paid. For me back then, like $20, $25 an hour. So good. I got to like, and it was a five-hour minimum, right? You have to get paid for five hours if you work even only one hour, which they were days.

[00:17:50]

Did you have a headset?

[00:17:52]

No, it wasn't like that. It's a clipboard. That was our thing. It was a clipboard.

[00:17:56]

You mean business?

[00:17:57]

You checking stuff off. Nothing was on the phone. Everything was like, you had to write everything down, check, check, check. They're here, check, check. Nothing was electronic because it's easier to flip through pages and make sure that everybody was there. When you miss somebody, if there's somebody that got off a flight and they had to call a a taxi, and they didn't get onto the shuttle.

[00:18:17]

That was on you?

[00:18:18]

Oh, yeah. Because it's your job to really catch them because a lot of these people are just very on the go. They got a lot of money, and they don't want to be sitting around waiting But their company paid a lot of money for their clients or for their workers to be treated well. And treated well is making sure they get on the vehicle that you paid for and getting to the destination in a timely manner.

[00:18:44]

Did you know what they looked like before time? Did you get head shots of people?

[00:18:47]

No head shots.

[00:18:48]

Did you have to stand in an airport?

[00:18:50]

Yeah, so you hold their company, their brand logo, and you just hope that they come up to you, which they normally do 99% of the time, they'll come up to you and you check their name.

[00:18:58]

I've always wanted to pull that move in Big Fat Liar where they land, and then they just go up to the guy who's holding a sign for that fancy person. It goes, Yeah, that's us. Because I feel like they never even check anytime I've been picked up.

[00:19:10]

There's no ID verification or anything like that.

[00:19:12]

Never ask for an ID at all.

[00:19:14]

Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our sponsor of this podcast, Shopify.

[00:19:19]

Hey, Baby Heath, you hear that? Yeah, that's the sound of another sale on Shopify, and the moment another business dream becomes a reality.

[00:19:27]

[00:21:31]

Success. What else? Oh, haven't been getting sleep for the past three days because the electricity went out in this. By the way, our boxes are good, right? Yeah. Okay, it just hit me though. But electricity has been going in and out of this house for the past three days because of the floods. There's something that went off in my closet in the attic where it's just, and it won't stop.

[00:21:59]

It's been going for the past two days.

[00:22:00]

It's still going on. But I can't go up there and reroute wires because I just have no business being up there doing that.

[00:22:08]

You don't know where it's coming from, though?

[00:22:09]

It's not a smoke alarm?

[00:22:10]

It's definitely coming from some box that's attached to maybe one of the planks.

[00:22:15]

It might be your security system, too.

[00:22:19]

Oh, maybe. But it's something-It's something technical.

[00:22:22]

Or it could be a flood detector, too. A flood warning. No, it detects a leak. Once it sends its moisture, it goes off.

[00:22:30]

It could be an Amber alert. Is there any statistics that show how much Amber alert have helped find?

[00:22:39]

For sure. Seven in every 10 Amber alert cases, children are successfully reunited.Oh.

[00:22:45]

Wow.oh, wow. That's great. That's insane. I did not think it was that high.

[00:22:49]

Because of the alert or just it went out, but they still in it?

[00:22:52]

17% of cases, the recovery is a direct result of the Amber alert.

[00:22:56]

That's amazing.

[00:22:57]

We need to make the Amber alert movie. That's I'd watch that. We're making the Beanie Baby movie. We're making the Blackberry movie, Amber Alert movie. How did that come about? Well, I guess it would be sad. It starts on a sad note, and then it slowly progresses to the good of Amber Alert.

[00:23:11]

Are they changing up the story a little bit to make it more interesting?

[00:23:15]

Do they find the Marines in that helicopter that went down yesterday? Oh. They died.

[00:23:20]

Wait, I haven't heard this yet.

[00:23:22]

There was one of those intense military helicopters that were carrying five Marines from Vegas to go to San Diego, and it went in South California, in a very remote side of California, and it went missing. They just realized it didn't show back up to base, and they were like, Where is it?

[00:23:40]

How are you not in communication?

[00:23:41]

Is there not a GPS on a military-grade helicopter? That doesn't make any sense.

[00:23:45]

I feel like there's no GPS on a lot of just vehicles in general, though.

[00:23:51]

I guess, though, once something crashes, you have to have like...

[00:23:55]

Don't they not have it on everything because it can be intercepted by other-No, but your base would have to have communication with your own military helicopter coming in and checking on it. Communication, I get. But they're probably trying to communicate with them and nobody was responding. That's probably how they... Oh, man. Out of all, the Marines are like the I know there's like a-The few, the proud. Difficulty level. What's the Marines would be considered the highest, or is it like the Navy Seals?

[00:24:22]

I think Navy Seals have more rigorous training.

[00:24:25]

Yeah, that's right. But then there's also, you have Army Rangers, which is like the top of the army. You've got the Navy Seals, you've got-Color Guard.

[00:24:33]

Air Force.

[00:24:34]

Color Guard. You've got J-R-O-T-C.

[00:24:36]

Yeah, I'm being J-R-O-T-C.

[00:24:39]

They'd be in J-R-O-T-C. Flipping that up and then just catching that. I'm on Color Guard TikTok sometimes because I'm just so fascinated how those people can just throw a gun, which one, wild how that became a thing because guns are supposed to be really respected. You need to clean it.

[00:24:56]

Always had your hand on it.

[00:24:56]

Had the safety on. Then one day, someone was like, Higher.

[00:25:01]

They're like, Do it again. Do it again. Why do we need to incorporate that in training? Like throwing guns in the air like a baton? It's more of like a…

[00:25:10]

It's a show. I sent the choir. The Navy choir was singing. There's a band for the Navy, the Army, all of that. It's their extracurricular. But it's a gun. That is like a weapon.

[00:25:23]

But the guns that they use, though, it looks all white. It looks like they-It's like wooden.

[00:25:26]

It's probably plastic. It's probably balanced out right to catch Yeah, look at that.

[00:25:30]

There's not even a handle on there.

[00:25:33]

They got a sniper scope on it, though.

[00:25:40]

Oh, God. But they never bring up the ribbons in Kiddiet Kelly, though. Or that was their.

[00:25:47]

I think that was just in Kiddiet Kelly.

[00:25:50]

Did you ever see Major Pain?

[00:25:51]

Oh, with one of the Wayne's brothers? Yes. He has a lisp. That doesn't hold up, right?

[00:25:56]

That is one of the best, funniest movies, and they have the whole Color Guard type thing, like performance at the end, and Tiger is just up there dancing, and they're all doing the stuff.

[00:26:08]

Hold on.

[00:26:10]

Oh, man, I love that movie.

[00:26:12]

God, what a great opportunity. I wish. Imagine being a kid and getting a role like that where you don't really have to do much acting. It's just like a performance. Give me a performance in a movie. I can do that.

[00:26:25]

That was Orlando Brown?

[00:26:27]

No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. It was Little Tiger. Oh, my.

[00:26:32]

That didn't even look like him. Wow. Wait, are you sure?

[00:26:36]

It says right here. Little Tiger. Wow, that was Orlando Brown.

[00:26:40]

Have you seen him on the internet lately?

[00:26:42]

I never know if he's- He's been a big yapper. I never know if he's doing better or it's a really bad clip.

[00:26:47]

I don't know if he's doing bits or not, too. You know how he freak out? You know the people that are just manic? Yeah. I don't know if it's a bit. I'm seeing a lot of these type of people on the internet just being manic, and I don't know if it's real or not.

[00:27:03]

I'm just glad that I'm a little media literate where I can see something. Yeah, we're good. We see it all the time, so we know. It's fake, dude. There's some guy was talking about boomers on Facebook and how much they're believing AI stuff.

[00:27:15]

It's crazy. I've seen stuff like that, too, where it'll be like, your parents and grandparents will be like, Don't believe everything you see on the internet. But then they'll repost an AI sunset from a different... And be like, This is the most beautiful thing. You're like, You're the one telling me not to... When they're posting it, this is the most...

[00:27:31]

Clearly AI.

[00:27:32]

This is unbelievable. They made an igloo that looks like the Sistine Chapel.

[00:27:38]

Matt, I got hit up by a photographer.

[00:27:41]

Oh, my gosh.

[00:27:42]

I got hit up by a photographer. I got to show you this. I went to his page. Every picture is AI. Straight AI. All the people that are posing for the picture.

[00:27:53]

Wait, a photographer was putting AI in his- A photographer's Instagram page, every picture was AI.It.

[00:28:00]

Was AI. And he was posting it like it was his-like he was a photographer, which is crazy.

[00:28:04]

But imagine how many people it's getting because there's people that just believe. Oh, we're doomed. But they weren't even good. You know just like the...

[00:28:11]

Yeah.

[00:28:12]

Those pictures.

[00:28:13]

It was really funny. I feel like I need it. I'm so curious if my parents could identify an AI image, just like, what's real, what's AI? Yeah.

[00:28:23]

Has anybody used the Vision Pro yet?

[00:28:25]

No. No. Have you?

[00:28:26]

I have not. David has. I know. I had not care to put that thing on my head at all. I just haven't. But I know that they play around with it every day. They are having a lot of fun with it.

[00:28:37]

It's crazy seeing people recording people that have it in public and they're just walking around.

[00:28:43]

I think that's staged. I think every single one of those clips are staged because I saw one with a YouTuber. They put that... You know the conspiracy sound? I saw one of those videos, and in the compilation, they're putting YouTubers that were making videos of them walking around with Vision Pro. I was like, Oh, obviously, these are all just clips from different... I also don't believe that people are walking around with it on. If we go to New York right now, I won't probably see one person with a Vision Pro on their head.

[00:29:13]

I touched one. I went into the Apple Store.

[00:29:16]

How was the wait?

[00:29:17]

Well, the thing is it was already on this mount. You can't pick it up. But it's out the iPhone and stuff, but you have to book an appointment in the back to try it. You went to the Apple Store? I just popped in because I could see a whole row of them, and I went up to touch the quality of it. The front feels really nice. It feels like an Apple product. The back, the mesh and stuff, it does look like it's nice quality, but you think it'd be a little bit better because I was like...

[00:29:43]

I do like that it looks like really cool ski goggles, which makes me want to try them on.

[00:29:50]

It's just crazy that this is the first iteration of it, and it's only going to get crazier and smaller.

[00:29:54]

I'm surprised that they didn't all... They probably did this intentionally, go smaller and smaller with the goggles, because the bigger the goggles, people just get sick of it. It gets very uncomfortable. But I'm sure every pro, if it be the Pro 2, Pro 3, Pro 4, it's going to get smaller and smaller and smaller just so they have something to look at.

[00:30:16]

Jordan and I were talking about it. It's going to be to the point where that replaces the phone. That's all you're going to need is that, and you're going to carry around something like this that would be your battery pack. You're not going to need your phone anymore. This would just be a battery in your pocket, and you It would just be wearing the glasses all day.

[00:30:31]

Do you think it could replace a phone at some point? Because there would be no point to have a phone.

[00:30:36]

You can watch everything in there. You can call, you can text, you can do everything that your phone does. I bet certainly job industries will really take advantage of it.

[00:30:45]

The way also iPads are the new... That's the new clipboard, basically, is the iPad. I don't know, health surgeons could be looking at that, seeing all the diagnostics and stuff. There's going to be jobs where they really need it. Yeah.

[00:31:00]

To me, that makes sense. Or somebody that's running an event and they are always on the go, they have to make sure everybody is multitasking. Multitasking. I think those will come in handy a lot with people like that. Can you imagine that? Wedding planner, them running around with it.

[00:31:14]

A wedding plan? At your damn wedding, you have this person just like, Yeah, but the amount of stuff she's getting done with that thing on?

[00:31:22]

I did see a photographer that had it hooked up. Instead of, a photographer will shoot and then it'll send to another thing, he was taking the picture and it would be displaying the latest one so he could shoot and see, as opposed to it popping up on a monitor that you have to walk through and cycle.

[00:31:36]

That's genius. But the thing is that it needs to be thin enough where he can look at what he's taking a picture instead of just blindly taking it. You know what I mean? That would suck. But if you're able to and then see it immediately, that's-Can you sync up on it?

[00:31:53]

If we're all in it, can we start moving stuff around altogether? Not in somebody else's. See?

[00:32:01]

I'm sure there's going to be a setting for close proximity if you say yes, where we could be like, Okay, let's put this up here and I'll look at this.

[00:32:09]

Or they'll just one day attach missiles to it and you look at somebody tracking destroy.

[00:32:14]

Why does it have to be a whole headset? Why can't it be like, sunglasses?

[00:32:19]

I think because they want to get there. They start big, and then they have something to work towards.

[00:32:25]

I bet your ears can even support the weight.

[00:32:27]

People are saying it's very front heavy.

[00:32:29]

Yeah, it's like a pound. Your head is not used to having something that heavy on your head.

[00:32:35]

People's necks are going to...

[00:32:36]

But honestly, Mariah, I think because of how well it is, look at how the technology that they put into this, I think they just really needed it in something that big to start, it's only going to get smaller.

[00:32:50]

It reminds me, if they do like, sunglasses or regular glasses, it reminds me of when you're in a really expensive fancy car. Yeah, the heads-up display. The heads-up display when it shows the speed limit up and how fast you're going, it'll be like that. I think the heads-up display in the future is going to point to... If you're on a highway and it splits, it's going to have an arrow, which Which direction?

[00:33:15]

They had that Mercedes.

[00:33:16]

Mercedes came out with the augmented reality version. It shows you in the distance. It will be able to make it look like your pinpoints up ahead. As you're getting closer to it, it shows you.

[00:33:29]

It actually It turns your wheels.

[00:33:31]

What? No, it doesn't.

[00:33:33]

But yeah, no, it's really crazy. It's in their new electric car, the EQS or whatever it is. But basically, it's a whole augmented reality. It'll show you the name of the place that's popped up. It'll be a pin, and it tells you, and the arrows will bend as you're taking the corners and everything like that.

[00:33:51]

That's what I imagined it. Or I imagine them highlighting the street to follow.

[00:33:55]

Click the one on the right.

[00:33:57]

Cool.

[00:33:57]

Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our next sponsor of this podcast, ZocDoc.

[00:34:02]

All right, so you know when you get cornered by that aunt at a family gathering and you feel like you have to bend the truth? You know the one that asked, When are you going to get married? When are you going to move out of your parents' basement? When are you going to get that promotion? When are you going to get married? When you're going to get a girlfriend? When you're going to get a girlfriend. When you're going to get a girlfriend. When you're going to get a girlfriend. Only for her not to really listen and just judge you.

[00:34:22]

While you may have to grin and bear with it with your family, you shouldn't feel that way when you're talking to your doctor about that rash that weirdly looks like your high school crush that you maybe eat pizza one too many times with or something else.

[00:34:34]

Well, we have the place for you. We got ZocDoc now, the place where you can find and book doctors who will make you feel comfortable and actually listen to you.

[00:35:12]

Exactly. And to be honest, I've been putting off seeing a doctor for literally years after I moved out here, and it wasn't until I signed up for ZocDoc that I saw just how easy it was to schedule somebody. It's got all the different prompts. It lets you know what's coming up that you need to get checked off your list, whether you got to go see your primary, go to the dentist, get your It's all right there in the app, and it's just so convenient.

[00:36:13]

That's zocdoc. Com/zaneandheath.

[00:36:18]

Thank you so much, ZocDoc, for sponsoring today's episode. We love you, and thank you for taking care of us and our bodies. What's one moment from Japan that you always think about from our trip?

[00:36:27]

Us getting held hostage at the the gate from Japan police and not believe us.

[00:36:36]

What an insane thing that actually happened. You guys probably thought that we genuinely just... We were just drawn. It was like, luck of the draw. Our ticket just never came out.

[00:36:47]

They held us for an hour, took the machine apart. We're searching for our cards to prove that we had this JR pass. Finally, they find the ones or whatever, and then the names don't match who we are. I was missing. I She had yours, she had yours.

[00:37:01]

But the way they were trading it was like, it's never happened before.

[00:37:04]

It's like, no, it did happen. That was crazy.

[00:37:08]

Where they had to... It wasn't like, oh, one second. It was like, no, we have to hold you here. You have to stay. No, this is your fault. You're messing with us and you're trying to steal for...

[00:37:22]

They thought we were in this intense moment.

[00:37:24]

You have breached national security. You are a threat.

[00:37:27]

Imagine being in Japanese jail. I've never been in jail I'm just in Japan jail. That'd be fucking awesome. No, being arrested in a different country is scary.

[00:37:39]

And you don't understand anything.

[00:37:40]

Oh, my God.

[00:37:41]

Jail in another language is top to your punishment.

[00:37:46]

You're trying to find a hospital that can take you in another country. That was... Imagine just trying to get out of jail.

[00:37:52]

They're telling you to get out of the room like it's time to get up and you don't understand it. So then they think you're being a bad prisoner, and then they like...

[00:37:58]

And you think the USMBC is It gives a shit? You think they're going to take the time to hit you up about a ticket that didn't come out from the other side of the station?

[00:38:06]

Yeah, we have a Zane Hijazi that's stuck there. Ain't nobody calling for you. You're screwed. But why do I feel like Japanese prison would be so clean and nice? Oh, yeah.

[00:38:15]

Oh, my God. The Bento boxes.

[00:38:18]

You know they're getting good.

[00:38:20]

You know that shit's good. You know that it's top quality. Keith, when we're at the train station, there are Bento boxes that were just sitting literally in the shelves in the little kiosks.

[00:38:30]

It's pretty crazy the concept of prison. That's time out for life. You are in adult time out for a very long time.

[00:38:39]

Isn't it crazy? It's crazy whenever I see a case where somebody gets a good deal, right? But they have to go to prison for four or five years. That is crazy. Four to five years in jail? Bro, that is a good section of your life just gone. But it's a good deal. You better take that deal. That situation haunt me. Just imagine having to choose that as a good deal.

[00:39:12]

Four years? Oh my God.

[00:39:13]

Or if you actually didn't do the crime and you have to take a plea deal and plea guilty to get a lower sentence because you're like, I'm screwed either way. I might as well try to get the answer.

[00:39:22]

Oh my God. Dude, that's why even when it comes to money, like taxes and stuff, I refuse to try to work around it. I'm just way too scared. It's just not worth it.

[00:39:35]

The IRS will come knocking.

[00:39:37]

Yeah, but there's people that beat it. There's people that work their way around it. It happens.

[00:39:42]

It happens all the time. They do until they get caught.

[00:39:45]

It's just so scary. It's just so scary. The power that they have.

[00:39:50]

Yeah, didn't Wesley... You know the actor Wesley Snipes, the guy who played Blade, like Blade One, Blade Two, the- Martha Stewart. The vampire hunter? Martha Stewart. Martha Stewart was insider trading.

[00:39:59]

Still went to prison, though.

[00:40:00]

House arrest.

[00:40:02]

I thought she actually went to...

[00:40:04]

Oh, maybe for a week or two. I thought she did time. And a high- Insider trading, to me, is so interesting.

[00:40:09]

Why is it illegal? It's almost like, then don't have stocks then.

[00:40:17]

Because you're- Then that's what makes it unethical is that you knew about that the business was going to do something ahead of time.

[00:40:23]

But the thing is that somebody knows about it, though.

[00:40:26]

Yes, but you're- It's such a weird line.

[00:40:31]

Where's the line to insider trading?

[00:40:33]

But then that's unfair to all the other shareholders.

[00:40:35]

Absolutely, and I get that, but like- Because- I'm not for these. I don't know anything about stocks. I don't know anything about that world. But to me, it just feels like the thing is that people are going to always know.

[00:40:52]

That's why I say if I ever got convicted of something, I think it would be insider trading because if someone told me that I had millions of millions, and it was going to... Something was going to happen tomorrow, and then you're going to lose it all. You should sell now before you lose it.

[00:41:07]

But what if you don't even get a lot of information? They just said, You should put your money into this stock, which happens all the time. But that's now insider trading.

[00:41:16]

Insider trading happens all the time. The thing is, is when you get caught, that's the issue. They can trace down to the phone calls and they can see who bought it and they go, weird, do any of these people who just randomly have to sell their stocks, is there any connection between them? And suddenly they figure out, wait, this guy was in the same fraternity as this guy at college, and they happen to play at the same golf course with this guy.

[00:41:39]

You would love that job. Just like, oh, invest in it.

[00:41:42]

I just be so good at it.

[00:41:44]

There was a Me and Jordan together?

[00:41:46]

Forget it.

[00:41:47]

You can be putting the wrong people.

[00:41:49]

This guy shops at Trader Joe's all the time, and this person's a cashier at Trader Joe's.

[00:41:54]

I just do that in general. If we're out to dinner, I'm already figuring out the people next to me for no reason.

[00:41:59]

Imagine he has a group of friends.

[00:42:01]

I can't imagine.

[00:42:02]

They're all insider trading, and then it gets to he. But he does not give me any more information than, You should put your money into this stock.

[00:42:11]

He has to say, You like this stock. You can't legally say, You guys should go buy this stock.

[00:42:16]

He says it to me verbally.

[00:42:18]

Oh.

[00:42:19]

This is not through text. This is not through phone call.

[00:42:21]

They do assume. If I do something and then you do something immediately and there's no text or call record of it, they go, Okay, well, they're best friends. Obviously, he told them to do this.

[00:42:31]

Oh, so I'm going to jail, too.

[00:42:33]

Well, you have to have a good defense. You have to have a good defense. You have to show them that you did enough research. You were following the trends and you were following the market, and they have to have evidence of that.

[00:42:43]

Zane trying to explain to me.

[00:42:46]

The thing is, I don't know anything about the stock market. I just do whatever. In that world, I'll do whatever somebody tells me.

[00:42:51]

Yeah.

[00:42:52]

And they go... Boy, we lost our ass. My whole ass He was cut off.

[00:43:00]

I'll never forget where you were like, we were talking about you like, I'm going back in. I'm buying more. You were like, whip it out your car because you were like, I got to get back in it.

[00:43:09]

I just remember that one day, we were all...

[00:43:13]

Yeah, we didn't talk. We were Ireland all working out because we lost everything.

[00:43:19]

I lost $400 on average.

[00:43:21]

We lost so much money. It was like, you couldn't do it from your phone. I remember I was on the golf course and we got a call that it was plummeting. I remember me like, I can't even sell it. I can't. It was just like, Well, when I get home, we'll see what it's at.

[00:43:36]

Yeah, that's the toughest. That's the toughest with stocks is it's going down, but you're like, But maybe in the future, some random day, it'll come back up. It does.

[00:43:49]

That's why I personally don't do anything like that. I don't involve myself in crypto.

[00:43:56]

I'm so glad we never got into NFTs. When they started having NFTs parties in LA, and they're like, Are you getting minted tonight? I was like, This is fucked.

[00:44:04]

I just felt so... I thought I had FOMO for some reason. I was like, Oh, everybody's doing it. I feel like I have to...

[00:44:09]

It was the pressure.

[00:44:10]

Yeah, the pressure of everybody minting. We got invited to a minted party.

[00:44:13]

We walked in there like, Oh, have you minted yet? And I'm like...

[00:44:17]

It's like we're getting baptized. What are you talking about? Have you found God tonight? Are you getting minted? I remember I didn't even get minted.

[00:44:25]

It felt so culty. It felt like a...

[00:44:27]

And they would cheers you and be like, Everyone, he Look at his NFT. It's this robotic patient.

[00:44:33]

Then you would pose with your...

[00:44:36]

Matt, I remember he and I leaving so stressed out because we were like, This is now the new thing, and we just have no idea. Yeah.

[00:44:46]

Every NFT I got, I have four NFTs, all were given to me for free. In everyone who has an NFT, though, they're worth nothing now. It's completely obsolete. Crazy. I don't know what Gary Vaneertuck is doing with all of that.

[00:45:01]

I'm sure he pumped the price up and sold it all.

[00:45:04]

I wonder what his main source of income is.

[00:45:08]

Speaking. Oh, yes.

[00:45:09]

You think that's his main source of income?

[00:45:10]

His media agency is worth billions of dollars. Yeah. I mean, Gary Vanner Media is huge, huge. But his whole VeeFriends thing, I mean, I've gone to VeeCon, I've got invited. All right. Yeah, but that stuff I'm always just like, You're giving me all this stuff, but I'm like, What am I doing with it? Yeah.

[00:45:31]

The NFT little phase was wild.

[00:45:36]

Mariah, you ever minted? No. Mince Mariah. Mincey Mariah.

[00:45:40]

Mince by Mariah. Mince to be. No, I've not. I don't even know what that means.

[00:45:46]

You guys are huge crypto people at your wedding.

[00:45:49]

The theme is meant to be.

[00:45:52]

It's a giant holographic crypto. You have your own crypt, like Bitcoin for the wedding guests, so people have to...

[00:46:02]

You already know people did that for sure.

[00:46:05]

Absolutely. There's a QR code for people to scan to get those... What were they? Bored apes. That shit was...

[00:46:12]

Is this even English? What are we talking about?

[00:46:14]

I remember looking at the Bored apes and I was just like, why are people paying $250,000 for this?

[00:46:20]

They still are, right? Isn't it still a big thing? It's still worth it.

[00:46:25]

I think people are trying to make Bored apes have their value because people bought them for so much money, and they're like, what am I doing? I need to do something with this.

[00:46:32]

I need to try to make it seem. You want to do something? Go outside.

[00:46:36]

What's the most amount of money? You don't have to say the price. What's the most amount of money you ever spent where you were just like, what a waste. Just what a waste of my money and time.

[00:46:47]

Something that you lost money on?

[00:46:48]

Yeah. We've already said ours, but...

[00:46:51]

What was ours? I'm just curious. Yeah, that was our biggest.

[00:46:54]

Oh, Hoj. Okay, so a stock purchase?

[00:46:56]

No, not stock. Just anything. I'm just curious.

[00:46:59]

Oh, well, One time I bought a reservation. It's happened to me two times. Reservations at a hotel that are non-refundable. You're like, I just bought a five-night stay, and it's...

[00:47:09]

And you didn't go?

[00:47:10]

Why is any hotel room non-refundable? That makes no sense to me. They have thousands of rooms in one building.

[00:47:17]

It depends on what you're booking. But apparently, I didn't know this, you just reschedule the booking to another day and you keep doing that, keep rescheduling it and pushing it to hopefully the day you do that. That's a good idea. I didn't know that, and I just let that money burn. One time when I went to Niagara Falls, I booked it on the Canada side thinking, Oh, during COVID times, I could just walk into fucking Canada. No. And they were like, Sorry. Goodbye to that. Those were times where I was just like, I can't do anything about it.

[00:47:44]

You could keep rescheduling it. I didn't.

[00:47:45]

That's a good idea. All right. I don't know. I've never had a huge loss on a stock, probably a couple of hundred dollars on a few things here and there.

[00:47:53]

But I guess I was wondering not stock.

[00:47:56]

I wish I withdrawn most of my Doge at its peak, peak, peak. Because I bought 50... I don't know. I feel like I said this story a couple of times. I bought $50 worth of Doge in July of 2020, just for fun, because I saw some TikTok that was like, You could own... These are fractions of a cent. You can have millions of these. Fuck it. 50 bucks, we'll see. Doge, it sounds funny. And then it turned into $5,000. Wow. Wait, your 50 turned into $5,000? $5,000. Wow. And then at the peak, I I was like, Oh, okay, that was an easy thousand, but I should let the rest ride. Now it's gone down to, I don't know, $800. It's still a big win. Still a big win. It's one of my best random buys.

[00:48:42]

I'm the same way, I guess, until I started getting a little bit of liquored up.

[00:48:47]

When I did all the Bitcoin and everything, and I bought all that, it was when I was wasted. Every time I ever did something like that, I was drunk and I heard something, I was like, Let's just do Then I ended up buying four Bitcoin, and then the price dropped completely for a long time, and it finally came back up.

[00:49:10]

It was for years when it was under... It hit 34,000, and then it was under 20.

[00:49:16]

It was at 60 something, and then it dropped to 16. I was like, Oh, this is bad. Then I just held on to it because I was like, Let's just see. Then I finally got back up to where I bought it at, and I pulled it out, and I was like, Never again.

[00:49:30]

There is one thing about Bitcoin that drives me nuts. Well, I don't know if I could legally say this. Well, I don't know. I don't care. Let's just say you had to buy something on the internet via Bitcoin. But that was back then when Bitcoin was like nothing. It was like a couple of hundred dollars.

[00:49:44]

That's how it was in the beginning.

[00:49:45]

I had to set up a wallet, buy the Bitcoin.

[00:49:47]

You bought prostitutes with Bitcoin?

[00:49:49]

No. Let's just say it was some identification. I was buying it for somebody else.

[00:49:54]

Oh, okay.

[00:49:55]

I had to buy it through Bitcoin, but I spent the rest of the Bitcoin on that thing, but I still had a fraction of that Bitcoin in a wallet. But I thought, Fuck Bitcoin. I'm never going to use it. Don't know where that wallet information is at all, but I bet it's worth what it was, probably $50. It was probably worth now a couple of thousand of that. But it's gone. But I'm like, Hey, whatever. But I tried to find it through emails and stuff. I can't find it.

[00:50:24]

Unless you don't have that code, it's pretty impossible.

[00:50:28]

I also think this site that held my wallet, my digital coin wallet, went under, so it's gone.

[00:50:33]

I wonder how much money... What was that app again?

[00:50:38]

Coinbase?

[00:50:39]

Coinbase. I guess it's not Coinbase. I just wonder how much Bitcoin was able to retrieve back from people that just never...

[00:50:47]

You can't retrieve it back.

[00:50:48]

Oh, you can't? There's no limit. It's just gone. It doesn't expire. Like, Matt's 2000 is still sitting somewhere and it's just not...

[00:50:55]

It was sitting in that wallet for eternity.

[00:50:57]

It has to at some point just...

[00:50:59]

No. No. Because that's what they're so encrypted.

[00:51:02]

It's the equivalent of having gold that got lost. The gold will sit there forever until somebody either retrieves it or it's just never found.

[00:51:11]

Can I tell you all about this art, like Good Influences set?

[00:51:15]

No.

[00:51:16]

I've seen clips of other people's podcast. I'm like, Oh, they record there. They record there. One day, I was scrolling on TikTok, and I see a porn star. I'm a cultured guy. I could recognize public figures. I was like, Oh, my gosh. This is on TikTok. I'm like, Whoa. She's in the studio. She's in the studio getting interviewed. I was like, What is this? Oh, this is like a porn podcast where a guy is just interviewing porn stars.

[00:51:39]

Kind of like the jumper one.

[00:51:41]

Yes, just like that. I was like, Oh, okay, this is interesting. That's all right. Then one day, driving back from the studio, I was like, I'm going to just turn this on Spotify, play it two times speed.

[00:51:51]

It's the couch that he sits on.

[00:51:54]

Zane, hold your horses. I'm getting to it. I'm listening to it at two times They're like, talk about interviewing the porn star, and they go, Oh, by the way, guys, we just shot a POV blowjob right here. So guys, make sure to subscribe to our OnlyFans where you can see the full video. And I'm like, Are they talking about they just filmed it right then and there in that spot? And I'm driving hearing this, and I'm like, I'm calling good influences. We're texting. And Erin, she's Ms. Onlyfans. She's like, I'm going to look this up, describes to the thing because she knows how to work that website. She realizes there have been All of these porn scenes going on.

[00:52:33]

In your set.

[00:52:35]

Dude, I'm talking bear, bear cooch on the couch. A gang bang, man.

[00:52:42]

That's crazy.

[00:52:44]

I wish I could I'll show you guys the photos. If you want to see, we were mortified. Mortified. It's like a horror movie where someone buys a new house and they're like, Oh, what are these? It's just people getting killed right there in the living room.

[00:52:59]

Was it the exact chairs? Yes.

[00:53:03]

You had no idea.

[00:53:05]

They didn't disclose that. No idea. Just comfy on these seats every day. The mic covers right up to our faces. Zane, I wish I could… That's just saying they're just…

[00:53:22]

We were mortified.

[00:53:27]

That's really funny.

[00:53:30]

Zane, I got to… Hold on. I'll show you. Obviously, we'll… You show me after. Okay. Oh my God, I'm dying. Dude, it was…

[00:53:39]

Did you guys pay for the furniture and the set, or was it just like…

[00:53:42]

It came with it. We trusted it, and it was just like... But then we still felt responsible to... I don't know. We had to shop for a new place.

[00:53:52]

Are you going to get plastic? Or you said you got a new set.

[00:53:55]

We did get a new set, yes.

[00:53:57]

Matt, I think they should They should have been transparent with you on that. You can show me after. But they should have been more transparent with you about that. I think you have every right as just a... As a podcast show to know that the seat that you're sitting in is being-They're not deep cleaning that after. No, they're not.

[00:54:22]

If it was different furniture that they brought in for it, I think I would have been fine. Is your logo up in the background? No, because it's like TVs. They change the logo for whatever podcast it is, but it was just the intimacy of what was going on to the seats we were on. Dude, I was like...

[00:54:42]

That's bad. That's really funny. That's really funny.

[00:54:49]

Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our next sponsor of this podcast, Rocket Money.

[00:54:53]

I got a question for you, baby.

[00:54:54]

Hit me.

[00:54:55]

Do you ever feel like money is just flying out of your account and you have no idea where it's going? . Well, catch this. It's all those subscriptions. Think about it. Between streaming services, fitness apps, delivery services, parenting apps, it's endless. We're guilty of this, so we use Rocket Money to help us find out what subscriptions I'm actually spending on. Sorry, I can't say subscriptions.

[00:55:14]

Let me tell you, it is eye-opening, and we canceled the ones we didn't want anymore. It's so easy. It's one click of a button.

[00:55:21]

The way Rocket Money sets it up is so perfect. You can see all your subscriptions in one place. If you see something you don't want, you can cancel it with a tap and never have to get on the phone with customer service.

[00:55:42]

I've talked about this before. I have so many editing apps, photo-editing apps on my phone that I pay yearly for, monthly for, and I never use it. It's been like years. Rock Money was able to find all of them. Even the apps that are fully deleted, deleted, not on my phone anymore, but I'm still paying monthly for it. These apps are not They don't exist anymore. They're just pulling money out of your account, and there's no way for you to get back on the app because it doesn't exist anymore.

[00:56:05]

They don't send you an email saying, You just got charged. They try to keep it on the low. They want to steal your money.

[00:56:11]

They probably make so much money doing that, but Rocket Money takes care of that, baby. Wax it right in the neck. Nip it in the bud. Exactly. Rocket Money has over 5 million users and has to help save its members an average of $720 a year with over $500 million in cancel subscriptions.

[00:56:27]

Stop wasting money on the things you don't use and cancel your unwanted subscriptions by going to rocketmoney. Com/ unfiltered.

[00:56:34]

Again, that's rocketmoney. Com/ unfiltered.

[00:56:37]

Thank you, Rocket Money, for sponsoring this podcast and saving literally everybody so much money.

[00:56:41]

Literally $720 a month.

[00:56:45]

Literally $500 something million dollars. Wow.

[00:56:48]

You guys both went to Teresa Caputo. You know who Theresa Caputo is?

[00:56:52]

The Medium? Yeah.

[00:56:53]

They went to see her the other night.

[00:56:57]

Did she have an event?

[00:56:58]

It was a little Intimate event at the Langham Hotel.

[00:57:01]

Did she have a new show coming out? I feel like I saw a billboard.

[00:57:04]

Yeah, it's on Lifetime.

[00:57:06]

It's called Raising Spirits.

[00:57:07]

They did this little intimate... I don't even know how we got invited, why we were there. It was like people-Yeah, we got invited, and so we thought maybe we'd know some people showing up, but it was all TCA members.

[00:57:20]

Yeah. Television Critic. I looked it up. Television Critic Association.

[00:57:24]

Something like that. And all people that had to be in the industry of television stuff. I think we were the only influencers there.

[00:57:31]

What network is it? Lifetime.

[00:57:32]

It's on Lifetime.

[00:57:33]

Patricia and I got invited to something, too, and we felt like we were the only influencers there. And everyone there were movie critics because during the thing, they would be writing down notes and stuff. I think they were all journalists, but go on.

[00:57:45]

But yeah, it was at the Langem, and it was probably, what, maybe 75 people? Not even?

[00:57:50]

Yeah, it was in a cool loungey area. We know the Langem inside and out because Zane sent me for my birthday.

[00:57:55]

Oh, Langem was so nice.

[00:57:57]

Yeah. We were comfortable It was really nice, but this was like... This sounds so stupid. This was my dream night. It was my dream come true, showing up here. They had a whole pasta station before she got started, and they basically just talked about the new show coming out, other shows coming out on Lifetime, and then she just got right into her reading.

[00:58:20]

She walked through the tables where we're all sitting and was reading people as she's walking through. I love being read. Just before we explain a little bit, Just a disclaimer, we did not get read.

[00:58:32]

I don't want a build-up and then nothing happened. But we did. Obviously, we discussed it afterwards. She walked by you guys, she was like, Negative auras. We did discuss it afterwards, and obviously, it would have been really nice to be read and have our loved ones come through. Everybody hopes for that. But we left, and we were at peace with it because we realized how many people needed it more than us.

[00:58:57]

The people that she did read, we were like, Wow, they did it.

[00:58:59]

She was channeling... It was suicides, murders, unfinished stories, mysterious. I don't know. It was just like... It was so sad, but so...

[00:59:10]

Did the people she read, were they even welcoming it? Or were they immediately like, what the fuck?

[00:59:18]

Well, she had this whole spiel in the beginning, and she was just like, she obviously can't choose who she goes to. It's just she's led to certain people. But if you are open-minded, if you're open to it, if you're closed off, she's not going to really approach you. And she can tell who's nervous and who's not. So she'll shy away from it. But then if she really feels like there's a message, she'll turn around and come back to that person. But she'll give them a second to gather their thoughts. But there was a lot of people that she read were not supposed to be there that night. It's just like, there was a woman that she read and she beelined for her, but this woman just walked in off the street. She saw the banners and just I don't think she was supposed to be there.

[01:00:01]

She was just stage.

[01:00:02]

No, no, no. It was like, she has such a nice balance between finding humor and making these jokes and having comedic relief and really giving these people closure. That's what she explains.

[01:00:15]

She has a big hair, right? Big blonde hair.

[01:00:17]

Is she just riding a headpiece back there?

[01:00:19]

She has a whole satellite.

[01:00:21]

The higher the hair, the closer to God.

[01:00:24]

There's a vision pro under that. Just scanning everybody.

[01:00:28]

I just love her because She's just so... It wasn't performative at all. Now, the only time we've been in contact with a medium was the guy from Thanksgiving, and that was very intimate. But this was the first time it's a famous medium where I was just really... I'm very into that, but of course, you're not a full believer until you're sitting there.

[01:00:51]

Are they playing music during this?

[01:00:53]

No, it's just silent. No, it's just silent. It's basically like a little... Like, picture a cafe, a little loungey area.

[01:00:59]

Everyone just had a seat. She's just walking through and people are just hanging out.

[01:01:02]

Is it a candle lit?

[01:01:03]

No, it's just- No, it was like, imagine an empty restaurant with tables and boots. They had food for us. It was just such a casual- Are people's responses to hearing a connection?

[01:01:15]

Are they like, whoa?

[01:01:17]

No, not really.

[01:01:18]

It was just like there was people crying when they had nothing to do with that situation. You were just crying for that person because people... The seating was basically a free-for-all. You sit wherever you want. So there were strangers sitting at each other's tables. There was just so many connections made with strangers that was so beautiful to see. There was a woman who... It's terrible. Her father shot her mother and then shot himself, and they left the kids alone. She had this anger built up, and she got this closure that was just so beautiful at the end. Obviously, you never stop thinking about it.

[01:01:54]

It's crazy, too. It's not like she's just saying things that could apply to anybody. She was talking to her and she was like, explaining the situation. Then she goes, without even asking, Do you have a brother? Do you have this? She was just like, What's going on with your brother's brain? What happened with his brain? Not even knowing that she had a brother, but she was like, Yeah, my brother had a brain tumor that had to be removed. It's not broad in the sense that it could just be applied.

[01:02:24]

Even when it comes down to just the meeting that you guys had at that Thanksgiving dinner, to me, that's easier than anything you guys are telling me with Theresa Caput. That to me was just like, that was scary of how close he got.

[01:02:37]

It was scary because obviously it was directed towards us. This was just her with other people, but I would imagine it was the same experience that they had.

[01:02:43]

Were you guys nervous?

[01:02:45]

I was anxious during the day, but once that first person got read, I was like, I don't need it. Read me. I would have loved it, but I didn't need it as much as these other people. I can't believe what people go through.

[01:02:59]

You just don't- Just all Is it the trauma in that one room that you don't know? Yeah, you just never know. That everybody in there went through these crazy life experiences.

[01:03:07]

You can tell that at one point, she was starting to close out. She was just getting tired. I'm sure it's exhausting. She explained it like it was an out-of-body experience. She says she's not really fully present. It's just she's talking to these people and she's relaying the message like the guy from Thanksgiving. They're just relaying messages. Her sister, she wasn't supposed to be there because she didn't want to be there because she talk about losing her sister, and she's never talked about the people that she works with. She never brought it up, so nobody really knows. She said her sister said she would never speak up. She made Theresa turn around and be like, I know your sister passed away. She's at peace. All this stuff. The girl was just Just stone. Yeah. Because she was like, Your sister's telling me you would have never spoken up, even if I asked you, Did you lose a sister? She would have never said anything.

[01:03:55]

Crazy, dude.

[01:03:55]

I think these situations are... It's really hard for somebody to understand it until She turns to you, be lines for you, and says something completely out of pocket where nobody would know about you. And then you're just like, Okay, that was really... How would anybody know this? Because I have not talked about this with anybody.

[01:04:13]

It's the same thing. I always felt the same way until I met that guy at Thanksgiving and completely changed my life.

[01:04:19]

Because he's a big skeptic on that type of shit.

[01:04:22]

I feel like I put myself in a situation and be like, How real is this? Because you always hear stuff about it and you're like, Well, they could be googling. They could be looking They could be doing this. Obviously, yes, you could pick it apart however you want. It was somebody planted. It was this. They know all about it. It's to put on a show to make everybody think this. Think whatever you want, which is the way I was.

[01:04:39]

I bet she saved that other girl for her back pocket, though, at the end. Like I said- She knew that already going in, but then she wanted to...

[01:04:46]

How did she know?

[01:04:48]

But still, there would be some...

[01:04:50]

The thing is, it's so hard to explain. I was very fascinated with... It wasn't like she would go up to one person and be like, Okay, you're next. Let's unpack this. I'm going to go to the next person. It was very much like somebody with ADHD. It was like she would stop halfway and turn around and be like, I'm sorry, and this and this and that. Let me go back to this. It was all over the place.

[01:05:12]

Isn't that similar to what the guy also did at your thing, too?

[01:05:15]

Yeah, it's just like they hear these things and they're being told these things, and they're like, I got to get it out of my brain.

[01:05:20]

I do want to believe it. Same thing, we're like, I can't wait for that moment. I think everybody should experience it. I do think there's a strategy. There's a strategy, there's an act. It's There's a process of how they do it.

[01:05:32]

I know, and I completely understand. It's just, think about this. There are people coming to your show. It's not like a whole strategize. She gets faces and names who are showing up. These are people that are coming into a lounge. You sit wherever the hell you want. You expect her to memorize information and faces from a sheeter to practice before she comes in? No. That's literally impossible.

[01:05:54]

Have you ever seen Televangelists over... They run a whole business doing this stuff, going around, and they They have people that are miced up, and they know everyone who's there. They have people who are doing research of everyone who's also in the room.

[01:06:08]

I totally, obviously- I'm not trying to rain a bill.

[01:06:11]

No, yeah. Did you guys get name tags where your names checked in? No. There wasn't a list of anything for to get there. People were invited. You just got- There was a list.

[01:06:20]

Yeah, she had a plus one. She brought Heath.

[01:06:22]

I would love to see her then- No, he got invited. Film her in Times Square and just film her walking around and going up to people. I'd love to see her in an occasion.

[01:06:29]

I feel like she would do that in a heartbeat.

[01:06:31]

She does that. Then why are you cashing in on making a whole damn show in a business?

[01:06:35]

She's not cashing in. She has a lifetime show coming out, and she's promoting it.

[01:06:38]

If you ever have the chance to see her in person, I recommend going. She's so normal, and it doesn't seem like a whole production.

[01:06:47]

She looks a little... She doesn't look that normal.

[01:06:50]

That's actually... It's very Long Island. Everybody looks like that. Yeah, she's very... The nails, the hair, the makeup, that's just who she is. She's Catholic. She just I told everybody, I believe in God. I don't care what you believe in. I just want everyone to take away something from today, whether that's making a connection with a stranger. You can walk out of here not believing me, but she likes the fact that people walk out making connections with people and having that, what is it called, trauma bonding or whatever.

[01:07:19]

She wasn't- That's on my mind. Why don't you go solve a murder?

[01:07:22]

Well, they just- She doesn't. She even says, she was like, If I knew the lottery numbers, of course, I'd be going out and doing it. She was like, It doesn't work like that. But I know. Yeah, I know. But I'm just saying it was- But no, I want to believe it.

[01:07:35]

I think I would find closure if I... I would love for my grandma to speak to me. I would love if my aunt Mary Lou just passed away, just could talk to me.

[01:07:43]

It was just cool to see the details. It was cool for her to not be so broad. It was very specific things of like...

[01:07:50]

I feel like when you're there, too, you could probably tell when it literally looks like something is just feeding them information. You know what I mean? I know. There's a difference between memorizing and learning and then spewing out and then just saying whatever is being transmitted to you. But for that information to be that accurate, I need to see the system.

[01:08:18]

The difference is the guy that was at Thanksgiving would get names, numbers, dates, and he would just spit stuff out. Yours is different. She would get signs. So it's not like a direct-They're very different mediums. It's not like, Hey, tell them that There's a hard shape locket, and I miss them, and they're doing great. That's not what she hears. She's been doing it so long that she would get a symbol or something. It would be like a tap on the back of the head would mean...

[01:08:47]

She'll say what the symbol she's seeing. She's like, I'm tasting blood, which is my sign for this. Does that make sense? The person would be like... Or her thing was fair enough. She'll be like, I taste blood. They left tragically. Fair enough? They'd be like, Yeah. She'd be like, so blah, blah, blah. She'll keep going, and they're like... And then she pinpoints exactly what it is. I don't know how to explain it.

[01:09:04]

I also think it's like she's fishing, and then she narrows down. It's the same thing like a magician does or a mentalist, where you could look at a group of 10 people like, I'm seeing a red car. The odds of somebody whose parents at some point in their life drove a red car, I think it's pretty high. And then you narrow in off of the odds where she's like, I'm seeing two people. I think the odds of somebody at the table having known everyone that they know someone who has died. It's a bit of an act, and it's a circus act. They've been doing it since the beginning of time, and I think she's really perfected her craft, and she knows how to work down it. I know it seems sporadic and informal, but that's part of the fucking strategy with it, I think.

[01:09:47]

I would love to be read by someone like that, someone that good who's been doing it for a long time. I just want to see how close they can get because you can only believe only if you've got it done to yourself, right? If you see somebody else do it to somebody else, there's really not much you can do than just see emotional reactions. Then you tell yourself if you believe that or not. But if someone came to me and she truly told me something that nobody would have possibly known, for me, I'd be like, It's just too good to be an act or to see another media. Theresa, come on over, girl. Theresa, bring yourself and your big hair onto the show.

[01:10:29]

Let's get red. But I'm sure if we had her on, though, she would be reading us so well because she would have done the research. She would have known.

[01:10:35]

Well, us would be easier for sure because you can probably research a lot. But she does it to random people all the time.

[01:10:43]

It was just beautiful. The amount of people at the end finding those connections and having those things in common with people. I just like human connection. It's just like, whether it's real or not, people still got closure that night, and they felt better walking out. I I feel like that's all that matters.

[01:11:00]

I would love to see a documentary about... A documentary about mediums in a way where we hear how every medium does it. I would love to hear just everything about how each one does, how each one connects with the past. Every single detail, I would love to just watch it all in a documentary.

[01:11:26]

It's very hard to explain, but it was the best night of my life. So don't ruin it. It was the best night of my life.

[01:11:32]

It was the best night of my life.

[01:11:33]

It was just a dream come true.

[01:11:36]

And we're actually going to get dinner with her next week.

[01:11:39]

I wish.

[01:11:41]

Why I really want a medium in here is because I just want to see the bantering between the medium and you, and I just want to just hear it.

[01:11:52]

I'll always be nice to anyone who's like, Craft it as. If it's a hypnotist or if it's a magician, I'm not going to be… If a magician does a trick and I know how he does it, I'm not going to be like, I know how you did that. I wouldn't even be challenging her. I'd be welcoming and be like, Yes, yes, yes, yes. Then I would probably talk about it after, but I would never lie to her. I would never make her go down a fake chain of events and be like, Oh, my God, yes, yes, yes. I would tell her, No, that doesn't add up. For me, it's just, yeah, it's the-And she reads pets.

[01:12:25]

She did some dogs. It was great. People were like, What the animal's coming to her sounds absurd. Like I said, everyone just laughed at her, and she was like, No, seriously. She goes, I don't know how. But it's nice that she is the same person on and off camera. She was my dream person to me. That sounds so stupid. She was my dream person to meet, and I've only seen her on television. She's the exact same person. She's just this person from Long Island. We had a whole conversation with her at the end, and she was just so kind. She's just such a normal person. We were talking about she gave us some wedding venue recommendations. Oh, yeah? Because her daughter got married in Jersey. I'm not going to say. Okay. We might do it. Yeah, it was fun. So thank you, Lifetime.

[01:13:12]

Last night, I Well, he was talking about how he liked certain posts, and he was like, Oh, because it had no likes on it.On TikTok.On TikTok. And he liked it and unliked it. And he's like, Oh, God, I just like the TikTok. And Zane was like, be careful because they can still see that you liked it, even if you unliked it. I was like-Especially with people that have no followers, you just see that notification. There's times where I'm watching a TikTok and it's just like, Something I don't agree with and I like it by myself. I'm like, oh, shit. Then I unlike it. Sometimes you just like a TikTok accidentally.

[01:13:51]

Not that you necessarily like the TikTok, but you like it just to be able to see it again as a save, almost.

[01:13:58]

I don't know. I overthink it. That's what happened to him. And I was like, Oh, damn. They're still going to see that notification. I was like, Next time, just save it or favorite it.

[01:14:09]

So it doesn't pop up for them that I favor it.

[01:14:11]

It just says it. It saved. And we had that discussion. That's a really good idea. And so I'm going through TikToks, and there's a TikTok that I love the audio. It was the one where I was like...

[01:14:22]

That wasn't my friend last night.

[01:14:23]

That was the devil. And it was people posting their really bad moments on themselves. And every time I see TikTok like that, I think of just all the bad moments I have. I'm like, Oh, my God. Let me try to think of a way to use it. I showed Mariah. I was like, I showed her the audio, and we were like, Oh, my God. That'd be so funny. So I favorited it. And then she gets a text from her cousin that shows a screenshot of my favorite of the TikTok.

[01:14:48]

I didn't have a lot of likes, so it was just Zane at the top of their notification.

[01:14:51]

It was her cousin's TikTok on my For You page, and I had no idea.

[01:14:56]

In Italy, right?

[01:14:57]

No, it had views on there. It wasn't like a...

[01:15:00]

Was it- Well, it was like... They said it was at like, 6000 likes, but so you came up.

[01:15:05]

Oh, and it came up, and I favorite it. And then it showed up that I favorited it.

[01:15:10]

And we just talked about how you can't see it, and she texted me and she goes, Busted.

[01:15:14]

She said, caught in 4K. It's crazy how that conversation and just letting her hear that audio TikTok was connected like that.

[01:15:23]

Oh, wow.

[01:15:24]

I just thought it was funny that she texted me that.

[01:15:26]

She's like, Busted. I've been saving. Me too. But he's When I see the drama TikTok. Save, save, save.

[01:15:33]

He's incognito.

[01:15:34]

Because I'm like, Oh, I can't wait to show this person this. And it's been tracked all along. And I'll be saving the ones with no likes on it. Save, save.

[01:15:43]

I'm like, Just because you like the sound, why don't you just go to the sound and click save?Extra.

[01:15:47]

Steps.i'm like a boomer.

[01:15:48]

Yeah, that's just extra steps. I don't think anybody gets a notification on the sound.

[01:15:51]

You know what? I sometimes favorite the sounds, and they don't show up in my favorites for the sounds. So now I have to like the TikTok or something to keep it on top of my feet.

[01:16:00]

This is so funny. Literally the next morning.

[01:16:02]

That gave me goosebumps, which is why she sent me that screenshot. I was like, How did she get this notification? I'm like, It was her video. That's crazy. And then it answered the question.

[01:16:12]

That was just wild. Do you follow her on TikTok?

[01:16:15]

My cousin? Yeah.

[01:16:17]

I wonder if they give me mutuals. Like, oh, I'm going to-Oh, they do all the-It wasn't on my cousin's page.

[01:16:24]

It was a video of her friend that she took in Italy. Okay. And that video on her friend's page went viral. So it It's not anybody I'm really connected to.

[01:16:31]

Nadia is not viral.

[01:16:33]

Yeah.

[01:16:33]

So small. That's bananas.

[01:16:36]

The algorithm has been getting crazy, though. I'll watch a video. I'll watch the whole video, and then every other one is-is that. I don't know why I've been watching not only the car videos with the hammer swinging. Can this car get through this hoop? I'm sitting there like, I'm just watching every single one of those car videos.

[01:16:56]

It's getting really quick now. Oversaturate. If If you watch something for more than two seconds, it's like, the next one's like that, the next one's like that. I always have to do uninterested because it was just one time I was into it. Just one time, uninterested, uninterested.

[01:17:09]

There's also a stick figure one that's been... It won't stop because I watched one stick figure where this girl's at work and the manager would come and say, Hey, can you stay later today? And then she'll go, Well, yeah, if you pay me overtime. It's this conversation at a workplace, and it's different scenarios at a workplace, and they just keep popping up, and then I'll just watch one of them.

[01:17:27]

Too much.

[01:17:28]

Zane, mine is Will the airplane take off on different types of runways? But it's a building that's this big, and it shows all the airplanes are falling.

[01:17:36]

I'm surprised I haven't seen that one yet.

[01:17:38]

I'm on that one, too.

[01:17:39]

I feel like that's what kids watch. Kids watch that type of TikTok, and it's just like, That's all my feed has now.

[01:17:45]

Or it's like an audio of something that you're interested in, and it's some guy just driving a car through that little jump thing, and then they're getting like... And then I'm just watching this car do this thing while listening to it. I'm like, What am I doing, man?

[01:17:58]

Just wasting so much I love the girl who...

[01:18:01]

She's British, and she reacts to the compressor of different items getting squished. She's just like, Oh, yes, that's lovely. No, get it out of here. Don't with the glass. I watch all of those, and then just like, Why?

[01:18:14]

They'll get you. That's all I had, though. We can jump into the unwind. Yeah, let's do it. We could do that. Hang out with the cousins for a bit.
