In the morning, you wake up in the morning and I'm talking about to experience a morning show unlike any of the breakfast.

[00:00:09]

The audience wants what you guys are doing right now for the pop culture.

[00:00:12]

Breakfast Club is my morning fit. I need it and I love it. I'm like, you really not popping into the Breakfast Club and waiting? Come to our show, man. I really got to be a big time celebrity. You got to be got to be big into Angeliki and Charlamagne, the guy at the Breakfast Club pitchIN. Good morning, USA, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.

[00:00:53]

Good morning Angela. Yea, good money Sandy. Charlamagne, the guy on the planet is Friday.

[00:01:01]

Say, yes, it's Friday, the weekend is here, the weekend is him while walking in is a bunch of Howard University stuff on my mind, you know, they disrespectful and I wonder probably how Central African-American College Alliance might have said, Chris, I know Christopher look like oh oh know Cheryl.

[00:01:27]

Oh, sure, Cheryl McKissack. Because again, it's just like she was. So you know what, she probably seen all that harmful stuff. I say let me say somehow stuff up there that you should balance it out. I appreciate you saying that's probably what I shot the Cheryl McKissack. You think now yo yesterday shout drama because you almost warned me. You know, we used it.

[00:01:45]

Oh, good morning, Angelie. Good morning and thank you. Now, I took the second part of my vaccine on Wednesday. My parents got their second shot was fine. Guia got the shot with me, was fine last night.

[00:01:59]

Oh man. That's what that vaccine when I say I was, I was hot like on fire temperature but I was cold menopause. Right. I like when I say hot, like hot like it was like I, I can't even cuddle with you because you get too hot. But I was cold, freezing. I had a temperature, I had the chills. It was crazy last night. All day I was good. Nothing. I feel good now but I just want to I didn't want to come in and make just to make sure.

[00:02:23]

But last night was a rough one. I got a lot in dramas. Swarmy dramas was like, yo, second vaccine kind of put me on my ass. I'm like, yeah, whatever. But everybody else in my house is fine. My parents, my family was fine. He was fine. Just me. That backs that up next. Second shot of that vaccine was was real last night.

[00:02:40]

I think lot and I know a lot of people are making decisions on what they're doing with this vaccine. Just to put it out there today, I'll be having a conversation on my iji live with one of the doctors from the staff, from the White House to talk about the vaccine and how people and making their decisions and what they want to do just to educate people. I wonder how it works, because the first vaccine and the second vaccine is the same vaccine is the same thing.

[00:03:04]

But why does the second one affect you differently than the first one? Because the first one, it was no problems. But last night, the second one was I think I now I understand why they said, you know, some people take the first one and it's like an eighty five percent immune and they don't go back to that second one. Like I said last night, I was had the window open at one time and the window closed, window open gives looking at me like I was a crack and I'm like, look, I'm hot and I'm cold, I'm, I'm cold.

[00:03:24]

But I feel like Dr. Murthy today. What I'm about to say the same thing. Maybe that maybe you should tune in and leave you because you got.

[00:03:32]

But that happens to a lot of people. A lot of people said they deal with the same thing, chills and fever. And, you know, like I said, I heard a second shot putting people on the air, like, you know, I got I got some partners that took the second shot and let me down for two or three days.

[00:03:45]

And I'm going to do that. Johnson and Johnson one, because it's just one shot. Everybody keeps saying, I just want that one. It's just the one shot.

[00:03:52]

Yeah, well, I encourage all of you ought to go out there and, you know, continue to get the vaccine. So I don't have to. And once they all get to it. Seventy five percent is a good we all agree. So y'all keep doing your thing. You know me. I feel better now.

[00:04:06]

So also yesterday I ran into I didn't run into I had dinner with Jim Jones skibo.

[00:04:11]

Yeah. And you know what? And when he came on the Breakfast Club, he talk about end of teas and it was still I still didn't necessarily understand. So he had to really break it down, explain it, explain how it's sold, explained this like he explained the whole thing in the world.

[00:04:24]

You don't need the need. You don't need to know nothing, except we got some content that we put on the market, OK, but we got to know how to put it on the market. We got to know we got Jim for. All right. Well, he was teaching me I wanted to know for myself.

[00:04:36]

That's Guerrouj. I got to NFTE company. You didn't call John to see what he thinks.

[00:04:42]

What a coach who I was telling my friend who did the the who did the mural in the juice bar, Charbel Anjou. He already has been selling stuff, his artwork because he designs for Gucci. And so he's been selling his own personal artwork. That's when I first heard about it, because he's been doing that for a while. And they called me like, yo, you need to start doing that. There's so many different things you can put on there.

[00:05:03]

Yeah, absolutely.

[00:05:03]

So Breakfast Club has so many different things. We definitely could get that poppin now. Ride Wave will be joining us this morning.

[00:05:10]

Yeah, his album came out at midnight last night. Soul Flight is actually his third album. Yes. So we'll kick it with Ride Wave and then we got front page news. What are we talking about?

[00:05:19]

Well, let's look at Georgia. Republicans have went ahead and signed these bills that are restricting voting access. And let's talk about what that means. All right.

[00:05:30]

We'll get to that. Let's keep it like this. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. Is D.J. Envy, Angela Charlamagne, the guy we are the Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news where we start you.

[00:05:43]

Well, Georgia, they have went ahead and signed an elections bill into law. And what this does is restrict voters. So the new law imposes new voter ID requirements for absentee ballot. It empowers state officials to take over local elections boards. It limits the use of ballot drop boxes and it makes it a crime. Time to go up to voters in line to give them food and water. Why is that a crime? We keep waiting in line for hours.

[00:06:08]

You can get some water.

[00:06:09]

Can we just say what this is? This is just simply they don't want you niggers to vote. OK, let's talk about how they talk when they behind the scenes whispering to each other because we are so busy worrying about social media and cable that we are not paying attention. Two hundred and fifty three bills across 43 states have been introduced to restrict voting access. They simply don't want niggers to vote and buy niggers. I mean, all of us who.

[00:06:27]

Wait, wait. All right.

[00:06:29]

Well, by yesterday evening, there has been a new lawsuit challenging the new law that's been filed by a trio of voting rights groups, the new Georgia Project, the Black Voters Matter Fund and a Rise Inc. And actually one of the state legislatures and state legislators ended up getting arrested. Part was among several people protesting these new changes. And she went ahead and knocked on the Republican governor, Brian Kent State House office door as he was signing the bill into law.

[00:06:56]

It was a closed door ceremony. So they were definitely trying to get this done without people around. And there was a video of this incident of and getting arrested that was taken by Tamara Steve Tamara Stephens.

[00:07:07]

Here it is, the governor signing a bill that affects all Georgians. Why is he doing it in private and why is he trying to keep elected officials who are representing us out of the process?

[00:07:17]

You said you gave her one more time like you're going to do when you know you are not representing what for what? Under arrest for what? For trying to say something that our governor is doing. What is she in violation of? I want you to sign the code.

[00:07:35]

What is this? Freedom and liberty and justice for all y'all keep talking about in this country is freedom, liberty and justice for some. OK, since incidents like that prove it. Come on now.

[00:07:46]

Well, she was taken into jail with two misdemeanors under state law, obstruction of law enforcement and preventing or disrupting General Assembly. According to the police, she did take to social media and say, hey, everyone, thank you for your support. I've been released from jail. I am not the first Georgians to be arrested for fighting voter suppression. I love to say I'm the last, but we know that isn't true. But someday soon, that last person will step out of jail for the last time and breathe the first breath, knowing that no one will be jailed again for fighting for the right to vote.

[00:08:14]

Once again, I tell you all the time of, you know, voting didn't matter. They wouldn't be trying so hard to stop you from from voting, OK. Two hundred and fifty three bills across forty three states have been introduced to restrict voting access, a.k.a. stop you niggas from voting.

[00:08:31]

As you know, Joe Biden had his press conference yesterday and he did address what's going on in Georgia.

[00:08:37]

And these voter suppression bills when I'm worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is very American. It's sick to Republican voters. I know find this despicable. And so I'm convinced that we'll be able to stop this because it is the most pernicious thing. This makes Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle. This is gigantic what they're trying to do and it cannot be sustained. Do everything in my power along with my friends in the House and the Senate to keep that from from becoming the law, by the way, is very American, OK?

[00:09:12]

Voter suppression is very American stopping and black people from voting is very America. And that's why we will never get anywhere in this country, because people like Joe Biden keep saying things like this is un-American. When the truth of the matter is it is very American and it's how we deal with the reality that situation, nothing's going to change.

[00:09:29]

All right, well, that is your front page news. All right, get it off your chest. Eight 805 eight five one two five one. If you need to vent, hit us up right now. We had a bad night, bad morning, whatever it may be. Get it off your chest is the Breakfast Club.

[00:09:41]

Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Wake up, wake up, wake up, and this is your time to get it off your chest. You mad or blessed? We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello.

[00:09:56]

Who's this? Well, this is Mike over Mike like. How you doing something?

[00:10:01]

I get it off your chest, brother. I come up called Mr. Solomon real quick. Yes, sir. I don't understand. Charlamagne. Yes, sir. How in the world you say you'll pardon your clothes, but New Jersey, my stuff goes right through you. How does that work?

[00:10:15]

Boy, a man. God bless you. No, no, no. God bless you for reading my mind. Remember I told you I had a real bad guy? I had real bad guys for like two weeks straight, like terrible, terrible guys. I even went to the doctor and everything I realized is God damn Jersey Mike's tuna subs. Oh, my God damn jersey. Mike's tuna subs do you dirty.

[00:10:35]

But you said your father. Is that possible? I don't I don't find my clothes. I have not I don't want last lasting.

[00:10:43]

Lasting I yes. I'd be down to start a podcast called Tipiloura since you don't you go back.

[00:10:49]

You don't need the Uber drivers always to my obejas.

[00:10:52]

What are you talking about. I have a good that come from I don't know, he just made it up.

[00:11:00]

We always took the Uber drivers. I definitely tipped them. Hello. Who's this. This is here. How are you guys. Good morning. Get it off your chest. So I was wanting to get off my chest that I just had a mummy make over OK. And I had four kids, one being when I spent five, me and my husband decided, well I decided and then he agreed for us, for us to get to my mommy, make over.

[00:11:25]

I got my tooth taken out and I was ready to go. So I'm going to take over. And I started posting things on paper to be able to inspire other women or men that want to get, you know, to sit in front of them and talk about recovery and just help. So the amount of space that I guess I just want to stay on there like you guys give. Great. And you don't know what my story was. I lost three pounds, Spider, because a lot of women think, oh, you took the easy way out.

[00:11:54]

No, I worked for mine and some women do. But what we choose to do is what we choose if but try to write or graceful and positive.

[00:12:03]

It ain't nothing wrong. No tummy tuck. I was telling one of my homeboys yesterday getting surgery, man, I don't know. Look, I promise you, I told one of my homeboys that yesterday, but only I only I was telling my trainer at the gym. I was saying, listen, for women, sometimes it is hard. Like I know so many women who have children and it's just never the same after that. And if you can do something that make you feel more confident, it's your body.

[00:12:25]

Do it. Yes. Yes. And I like I said, I lost twenty three pounds. I had some vision. I'm like, I'm getting this. Let me make over. And I got it. And I lost my weight and I'm just trying to spread love, you know.

[00:12:35]

But all right. Yeah. You know people hate when you up from let them hate you. Yeah. Go ahead and be fine girl. Stand up. Stand on these women.

[00:12:45]

All right. Thank you, Mama. All right.

[00:12:48]

But even though you get these people get these surgeries and his lap bands in his tummy tuck, you still got to work out and you still got to eat. Right? Because if not, we just gain back. That's a fact. We just get the way, the way right back. So don't think that's just the easy way out. You still got to work out. You still got to eat. Right. Because if not every two years, you'll be getting the surgery.

[00:13:03]

That's a fact.

[00:13:04]

Get it off your chest. Eight hundred five eight five one two five one. If you need to hit us up now is the Breakfast Club. Good morning.

[00:13:10]

The Breakfast Club. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad will last forever. We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club. Hello. Who's this? Hey, how's it going? Nick, what's up? Get it off your chest, bro.

[00:13:29]

What's next for Michigan, man? I just wanted to let you know that Trevor agreed to do to the song Battle over my dad. Yeah. He hit me and my dad, like, two days ago. Oh, yeah. But then he goes to me a little bit. He hit me back, says, watch what you think of Trav.

[00:13:47]

You got this. You think this is an easy win.

[00:13:50]

So we got two different styles. I'm a hip hop. Is he just like you, stupid?

[00:13:57]

I mean, you a hip hop head and travel just like you.

[00:14:01]

But no, I think I've got it, bro. I'm like, well, he's on the line right now, so we going to bring them on right now. Yes, sir.

[00:14:10]

Drive what else you have here.

[00:14:12]

Every which is what you want to do. This sword fight. Y'all want to do a song for song Freestyle to freestyle, which I want to do.

[00:14:21]

But you feel about like I got to say a little bit right now.

[00:14:28]

I mean, call it a bit of the day looking for somebody and put you on the right for. But if you're claiming anything that is encouraging about what I went through, let's be truthful. He did all he did was pick me up. He like me as an artist. He wouldn't be listening to that. I found his message. Another thing is he's been in messages for I don't think this out of my messages. He's saying this is a week ago, Anthony, like, you know about mellow and beauty.

[00:14:56]

Are you scared of not making excuses for getting. No, no, no. I want to know. Nick's on the line. Nick's on the like.

[00:15:04]

Nick's on the line. Nick, Nick, go. Oh, no, I'm sorry.

[00:15:08]

That's what I do. They sound like it sound like you could be wrong because nothing is positive. But the first thing is, hey, anybody I know the guy and I thought you got no I mean, this is confusing.

[00:15:26]

I got nothing. Y'all got forty eight hours. OK, y'all got the weekend. I want a song. A piece by Monday. All right. Trev, you remember that Nick rhymes with hey, hey, hey, hey.

[00:15:37]

I thought you like this mine done now.

[00:15:40]

Well, you already got a record right now. Trust me. Don't go that he caught you with your pants down. Don't get excited with this track though, huh? What you said you said. I mean, I don't want to do that. No, no. What I said was this. I said we could go any way we want to go, you know, any way you want to travel.

[00:16:03]

I got the message right here. Like I said, I said, do you want to do. I don't care. Whoa, no. Now listen, you know, yada, yada. Jaradat this weekend now. But I'm talking I'm talking about Iraq.

[00:16:18]

I'll make you want me to do so. We just out all that.

[00:16:25]

All right. All right. Y'all want to do a song for song. Forget to disregard just who got the best song.

[00:16:31]

All right. Hold hold on. Hold on, hold on. I come from the area, from your tribe.

[00:16:38]

You go in that corner, Nic, you go in that corner. We're going to settle this on Monday, OK? All right. See who got the best record? Well, people I don't know Travnik a long time listens to this show. No, no they're not. They're lovers. OK, they're having a little quarrel right now. We're trying to keep them from, you know, hurting each other, you know, I mean, we're going to settle this lover's quarrel through music on Monday.

[00:16:58]

So Trav Drive defeated Sean Stone, porta potty guy. Now Travis Falen himself, Nick, don't like it. So listen, I got something for you. And yes, it seems like this is a lover's quarrel. So we just tried to end this peacefully.

[00:17:08]

And whoever wins gets to be the top U.S. man. Get it off your chest, 805 505 where we got room on the way.

[00:17:18]

Yes. And let's talk about crossing the line. These two UFC fighters were going at it with each other and one person had to apologize. All right.

[00:17:25]

We'll get to that. Next is The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.

[00:17:32]

It's time she's spilling the tea. This is the room, a report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Well, killer make his Greenwood banking platform that he has with his partner, Ryan Glover has raised nearly 40 million dollars more now in series A funding. Come on now.

[00:17:53]

Drop estimates killer Mike and Ryan bloody those who can't do those who can't criticize. OK, Greenwood Bank might go into, you know, killer Mike always said, if all of us do a little, none of us have to do a lot. Killer Mike is doing more than a little, but he's doing his part in making changes the way he sees fit. And I support the good brother 100 percent absolute shot to kill him.

[00:18:12]

And you know what? And I want to apologize to Killer Mike. I was supposed to open up an account and I never got to it because I honestly forgot. But I will today because I want to support get in line. Well, there's a lot of people on the waiting list. Six hundred thousand people on the waiting list.

[00:18:24]

So you could be six hundred thousand and one. OK, I call.

[00:18:28]

Did you open your account?

[00:18:28]

Did you guys know I'm in. Yeah. And I got my card already and everything really. But I can't open your account yet.

[00:18:35]

It's just a debit card right now that's got like a paid amount of money. But then once you can open it, you know, once everything's up and operational and I do that today, well, get on the list.

[00:18:46]

I salute the good. I'm actually going to use it. I'm actually using that account for my business in Detroit for private label.

[00:18:52]

So I'm going to use it as like a business account for that. Yeah, got to support. All right. Now, let's talk about Israel Adesanya and he's a UFC fighter. He's was trash talking on social media with the fellow UFC fighter, Kevin Hyland. And things got a little bit out of control. Now, for context, Israel was responding to allegations that Kevin Hyland made earlier this month against him. Listen to this.

[00:19:16]

I think Sonya has a key and he was doing steroids to get that next question. I don't want to talk about Israel, so don't know what I mean. It's like you guys always want to talk about Israel, and it's like he just lost, you know what I mean? He just lost a fight where he got beat up on the feet. He supposed to be the best striker in the sport and then he got taken down and beat up there.

[00:19:34]

You guys don't talk about that, but you guys talk about him stepping up a weight class and doing this. I'm doing this. I'm doing that. Then everybody's going to use me as the bad guy because I'm up here telling you guys, you guys are nuts for riding so damn hard.

[00:19:46]

What was it like when they believe him before he got. They said he was and he accused him of being on steroids and we had to believe that. I don't know. That's probably cause he probably said steroids or something.

[00:19:58]

I just don't know what it was. Yeah, what did he grow? All right.

[00:20:02]

Resecting Adesanya had responded and he said, bro, effing rape you.

[00:20:08]

What? What? Yes. That was his response to Kevin Hallin.

[00:20:12]

You know, that's interesting because I was just listening in the glasses Malone yesterday on Gangsta Chronicles podcast talking about men discipline, disciplining other men by raping them. And that's something that we've heard before. I can remember when Reiji called back in the day, that's how he threatened Fab Five. Yeah. And we used to hear what he did say he would do what he said. He had people that would do that. But we also used to hear that about Chick Night as well as that people that would allegedly do what is right.

[00:20:39]

Sonja has since apologized. He said last weekend fight escalated to a point in which I crossed the line. I understand the gravity of this word and how it can affect and hurt other people. Apart from my opponent, although that was never my intention, I am still growing under the spotlight. And I take this as a lesson to be more selective with words under pressure.

[00:20:57]

Yeah, I mean, honestly, have you ever seen Mike Tyson in the press conference back? I was going to say the same thing, Mike Tyson today. So while Mike actually said something along those lines to rape your daughter right now, you know, he said, I'll do it today. He said to the man he thinks I'm an daughter.

[00:21:11]

Boy, I was just asking I don't remember. He said he might you know, he told the man he would do it to him. He actually did buy his zero. He didn't say he didn't say rape.

[00:21:20]

He said, if you tell you love me, that's what he said. OK, all right. I'm just asking you, what did you say? I don't know. Sure.

[00:21:30]

And let's send out some love to Danny Lay people be given Danny Lay such a hard time now. She was talking about the show snowfall and she said, am I the only one that can't get into snowfall? That's when I mean, Joseph responded and said it's a black thing. You wouldn't understand it.

[00:21:49]

Damn it, man. Oh, I saw that play.

[00:21:56]

I chuckled through quite a quite quite a few times.

[00:22:01]

All right. Well, you know, she deleted her message, but then she said, I felt like I cry every other day. I just want my life to change already. I don't want to be here no more. I got no real love around me.

[00:22:12]

Stop bullying that girl, man. Lord, have mercy. Oh, Jesus Christ. I'm telling you, words matter. She can't going through a lot. Yeah. My God.

[00:22:24]

Yeah.

[00:22:24]

I mean, I feel bad. Not funny. She got to learn to laugh at something. She got to laugh. She got to laugh at all. That's why it was just funny. Just based off, you know, the fact that people don't think she's black. That was just a funny tweet I just like was because that's all the yellow bone drama.

[00:22:39]

But, you know, it's just. OK, guys, you told her how you felt about her and you had some issues.

[00:22:45]

She's learning. This is the world. This is social media. You want to be a celebrity. This is what you signed up for. Some days. People love you. Some days people hate you. Some days they don't even think about you. But I can't I can't tell how it affects her. That's true. You know, and if it's affecting her in a really negative way, everybody just be more mindful. These are real human beings with feelings.

[00:23:04]

And, you know, social media can affect your mental health. But I tell you what, Danny, they don't go to our YouTube page and watch this video. People are going to be in the YouTube comments saying, Angela CAPM for that white girl, don't do it. Stop it. Don't I just care about people?

[00:23:18]

I don't want somebody especially like that. You know, I don't care what race you are or what you just said. I'm sure something happens. Everybody's going to be like prayer has or she got to do is just look at the first five comments, the first five comments that the people that, you know, they usually leave something positive and go after that. Don't look. Don't look at your comments.

[00:23:36]

How about that? You don't have. All right. Well, one of the comments is your room report. Don't look at another the because. Yes, so that's difficult. Social media can impact your mental health. And I can only imagine what Danny Lee has been dealing with for the past. How long has been? Two years I've been telling.

[00:23:50]

But she's also been dealing with people say her name wrong as Danny Lee was her name, Danny Lake.

[00:23:55]

Well, maybe it's better we do say Danny Boy, it's so poor Danny Lee on social media getting it. They don't know why she upset. You can't even pronounce a name, right? Stop it. Just leave it alone.

[00:24:04]

Danny Lee Anthony. That's it. Right. You OK? Yes. That's a damn names that we sent.

[00:24:09]

You hear the energy. Danny Lee. What you're defending her for dropship. Puerto Rican. Just American.

[00:24:14]

That's my sister. Yeah, she's Dominican. Oh, okay. I see what's going on here.

[00:24:19]

All right, guys, I digress. We got front page news next.

[00:24:24]

Are we talking about let's talk about Joe Biden's first White House news conference and we'll give you some of the highlights. All right.

[00:24:31]

We'll get into him next. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club, your mornings. I'll never be the same.

[00:24:38]

Mountain Dew is partnering with ABC News in an effort to uplift the next generation of badass black innovators and entrepreneurs with the real change app. Unity Fund pitch competition, empowering students to go out and do is it Mountain Dew that comes real change to enter morning everybody is the envy, Angela Ye shall I mean the guy we are the Breakfast Club.

[00:24:59]

Let's get in some front page news. Where are we starting?

[00:25:04]

Well, Joe Biden had his first White House news conference yesterday and we were talking about what are some of the things that we're sure that he's going to address, where he was taking questions from the press. Now, one thing that he did talk about was whether or not he's planning to run again. Should we be thinking about this yet in 1924?

[00:25:22]

Have you decided whether you are going to run for re-election in 2024? You haven't set up a re-election campaign yet, as your predecessor had by this time? My predecessor didn't need to do to my predecessor. Oh, God, I have. You have an answer is yes. My plan is to run for re-election. That's my expectation. Well, Vice President Harris, be on your ticket. I would fully expect that to be the case.

[00:25:45]

She's doing a great job. She's a great partner. Joe, you need to get this right for absolutely no reason for Joe Biden to be looking ahead to 2024. You haven't even kept your 20, 20 campaign promises that you've got a lot to do before you even think about considering you for 2024.

[00:25:58]

Asked. But they were they were pressing him about that and they were all shot and he was going to be the vice president. They were asking him, do you think he's going to run against Trump? I was like, OK, guys, let it go. It's a little early.

[00:26:09]

And he should have said, we should be focusing on the now. OK, we still got the George Lloyd Policing Act to try to get passed legalizing weed on a national level, releasing prisoners who are in jail for nonviolent drug offenses, offenses. And by the way, Joe, if you don't get the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passed, you don't have to worry about winning another election period because Republicans don't steal them all.

[00:26:27]

All right. Another thing that was addressed is foreign policy and whether or not he can get the troops out of Afghanistan in the coming weeks. He has to face these decisions on whether or not to withdraw these troops. Here's what he had to say.

[00:26:38]

It's going to be hard to meet the May one deadline in terms of tactical reasons. Hard to get those troops out. We've been meeting with our allies, and if we leave, we're going to do so in a safe and orderly way. There's a UNled process that's beginning on how to end this war, but it is not my intention to stay there for a long time. Sir, do you believe, though, it's possible we could have troops there next year?

[00:27:04]

I can't picture that be the case.

[00:27:07]

Just say no, Joe. Just say no. You say no. The troops are coming home right now. All right.

[00:27:13]

Another thing that he talked about was, of course, the pandemic and the vaccine. And what are some of the plans to make sure that we get these 200 million? Remember, he's been saying 200 million in his first 100 days. Here's what he had to say.

[00:27:25]

Not, as I said, his second goal, and that is we will buy my 100 day in office, have administered 200 million shots. And today we made a historic investment in reaching the hardest hit and the most vulnerable communities, the highest risk communities by investing an additional 10 billion dollars. And billion dollars.

[00:27:47]

Where does that money go, like when they say when he said invest 10 billion dollars, investing where to what level to get the vaccine, to make sure people know that it's available for facilities, for people to go and get the vaccine, the light that goes into it.

[00:28:01]

All right. Now, as far as the kids at the border and immigration, you know, that is a crisis right now here. These children who are unaccompanied and not having the right facilities to live in here. Here's what he had to say about access and transparency.

[00:28:16]

We haven't seen the facilities in which children are packed together. Will you commit to transparency on this, if you will commit to transparency? And as soon as I am in a position to be able to implement what we're doing right now, I'm the one of the reasons I haven't gone down on my folks have gone down as I don't want to become the issue, you know, bringing all the Secret Service and everybody with me to get in the way. So this is being set up and you have full access to everything once we get this thing moving.

[00:28:49]

Yeah, I don't believe. Well, Kamala Harris is in charge of that now, as you know, he put her in charge of everything happening at the border. So that is something these are actual children that we have to make sure they are OK. I don't care where they're from.

[00:29:03]

I mean, Biden is not handling the border crisis any better than Donald Trump did. Some might say he may even be doing it worse. I mean, they even still have Trump's Title 42 policy in place, which is so funny because Senator Harris actually said that policy was unconstitutional and an executive power grab that had no known precedent are clear legal rationale. Yet that's what they're using at the border right now.

[00:29:28]

This is something that has to be taken care of immediately. I know they've been trying to do things. I work with different hotels to set up housing so that they are not staying in these basically these little prisons is what it seems like at the border.

[00:29:42]

I saw him give a what he gave eighty six million dollars to ICE to create better living conditions for the kids at the border. But doesn't that wouldn't that piss you off if you was a veteran in the military and, you know, you went to fight for them and you came home and you know, you don't have you living on the street, you're living on the street, you're begging for change. But they have eighty six million dollars to give the ice.

[00:30:04]

Yeah. And that would definitely be upset if I was a better. I think you should be able to do both because you can't have these kids in these conditions as they're trying to cross the border and you don't know where their parents or relatives are now. That's true. But imagine if you're a vet and you fought for this country for four, eight years, for eight years, and you got shot at you, as in military things blown up, you know, with all type of metal and now you're on the street.

[00:30:25]

I've said it all. Yeah. How would you feel? I would go to that and not to other places where it's been going.

[00:30:32]

So I agree with that.

[00:30:33]

Yeah. But, you know, I just for me, it's just like when I when I see that and, you know, eighty six million dollars in is for actual living conditions, I literally cannot help but think about the homeless problem in America, especially the veterans who fall asleep. Absolutely. Should be getting free room and board. They should get a stipend every month to pay for food and their bills. They should be getting free health care, amazing health care like they shouldn't have to want, but nothing.

[00:30:56]

So it just seems weird when you see Biden's being eighty six million dollars on hotel rooms for, you know, migrants. I saw my grandchildren.

[00:31:03]

Yes. And that is your front page news. All right. Now, when we come back, just a little boy was here and he was talking about Zodiac signs and was talking about different types of women with different types of sound.

[00:31:14]

We have that clip. You listen, if you're looking for a wife, get you a cancer. That's all I'm saying, that they own the data only nontoxic sun. So I said, how do you feel about cancer and cancer?

[00:31:27]

I agree this. I agree. You know, I love cancer when my wife is excited to hear it. But yeah, just terror. Yes. Cancer is a very nurturing and loving and they're going to ride with you, but don't cross them when you cross them out of the big reveal.

[00:31:44]

Let's say I'm a Scorpio.

[00:31:46]

Oh, no, I'm in the words I was I I'm I'm I'm I'm a God fearing man. He jumped out at me.

[00:31:54]

Like I said, I always say that Scorpio man never. That was a trigger for you. I said, well, all right, you hate an album.

[00:32:03]

G.H. Scorpio's Jayesh. All right. Well, let's open up the phone lines. 805 eight five one two five one. He was talking about cancer signs are the only signs as far as women are concerned are not toxic. Let's have that conversation. I personally don't care. I never looked at anybody, son. I didn't care about my wife said my girlfriend.

[00:32:22]

Just relax. But you know what? You're right. All right, call us up. Don't you think it's a breathless local board?

[00:32:31]

It's topic. Time to pick up the phone call. Eight hundred five eight five one two five one to join into the discussion with the Breakfast Club. Talk about it. Morning, everybody.

[00:32:43]

Is D.J. Envy, Angela Charlamagne, the guy we are The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Now, if you're just joining us, we're discussing Zodiac signs that this came from our guy, Justin Laboy.

[00:32:54]

He was here a couple of days ago, and this is what he said about cancer women.

[00:32:57]

Hey, listen, if you're looking for a wife, get you a cancer, that's all I'm saying, that they own the data only nontoxic sun. So I said, how do you feel about cancer? Women, cancer is I agree this. I agree. You know, I love cancer when my wife is excited to hear it. But yeah, just terror. Yes. Cancer is a very nurturing and loving.

[00:33:17]

And they going to ride with you, but don't cross them when you cross them out of the big reveal. Let's say I'm a Scorpio.

[00:33:27]

Oh, no, Scorpio men are the worst. I was I I'm I'm I'm a God fearing man.

[00:33:34]

So we're asking eight hundred five eight five one two five one. Is it true the only sign that's not toxic is cancer. WOMAN Is that true? Charlamagne I don't know.

[00:33:43]

I don't know if it's true because I think everybody has, you know, toxic traits at times. But my wife is a Sagittarius. I am a. I have a lot of women who are cancer friends, I have a daughter who is a cancer and yeah, I think that they're very loving, they're very nurturing, but do not cross them, because when you cross them, that love and that nurturing spirit, they can be the opposite of that in a snap of a finger.

[00:34:11]

So I don't think I don't know. I don't know if they're the most least toxic. I don't know. I think everybody's got toxic traits, but I don't know.

[00:34:20]

I never the songs I have no clue. Like, I like I said, I didn't know what my wife's was like. I didn't say, what's your sign before I met or let me get it to you. Wish your son would. I don't know. I'm a Virgo and I honestly don't know, nor do I care about you.

[00:34:34]

I tell you. I tell you the worst sign for men are Scorpio's. I think Gemini's for both men and women are a little cray cray, though, because, you know, they have the two sides to them. They can flip it in a heartbeat. It's like two different people. And I'm a Capricorn and we're very practical, but we're not super affectionate.

[00:34:53]

I would say that could be considered toxic. Right. Like a lack of affection could be considered toxic. Right. Because if I was a man and my woman was, you know, not showing me affection, if I was a woman and my man when showing me affection, I'd be like, damn, what's wrong with you? So, well, I think it doesn't happen.

[00:35:08]

And so we feel really comfortable like we are very we have I was up, but once you get in, we're good.

[00:35:13]

And we're also very loyal. Yes.

[00:35:15]

I don't know. I think I think it's all based on, you know, who you dealt with, like everybody. It's people that have dealt with different signs that will call up and say what is friends is the most toxic on a personal not. I was there to at least talk because I just think it's all about what works for you, I guess. All right. Well, let's go to the phone lines. Hello.

[00:35:29]

Who's this going on in this example?

[00:35:33]

Hey, Chantelle, we're talking toxic signs. Talk to us. Yes, I totally disagree with the cancer statement. I've honestly both male and female that were cancer. And this case is like, hey, watch your mouth.

[00:35:49]

I am a chance to stop being Destry. I'm we're not nutcases. Oh, I beg to differ.

[00:35:54]

Animalia, you know, we had the best time out there. But anyway, you know, yes, I am ready.

[00:36:00]

Pretty go. I got to go. I got to go.

[00:36:02]

I can't say an labor is a pretty good show too.

[00:36:05]

But first, I'm a cancer pilot. No, I'm saying I try to sever the relationship with the male and he you know, I guess he wasn't compliant with that. But going forward, he got a tattoo. And like I said, this is because of me.

[00:36:18]

He was. Wow. What's your sign?

[00:36:23]

What's your sign, Amelia? Yeah. You toxic. If that man got a tattoo on his neck that said every word because of you, you're too toxic, you're toxic. You got him to a point where no man has ever gone before.

[00:36:34]

She knows about him and the female. Oh, I mean. But, Beth, you can't do that.

[00:36:42]

Beth, love of your life, Beth. Love your life. Be honest. The time I give it, I know it.

[00:36:49]

Give it up. Hey, statutory is. There you go. Okay.

[00:36:53]

Yeah. Yes, about. Oh my God, I'm so excited. I got you guys. I listen to you every morning. I love you guys ready to go.

[00:37:00]

They say I do love Sagittarius though my wife is excited solitaries is a great. Hello. Who's this. This is making a nick. We're talking about tax six zodiac sign. So. So talk to us.

[00:37:12]

I think the worst time to date is an Aquarius. I will never in my life that antiquarians ever again. They are sneaky, they are conniving and they are just horrible. But the sex is amazing. I'll tell you that.

[00:37:27]

I had my ex boyfriend was an Aquarius and he definitely was sneaky and he was a liar. Every time he was messed up, he would try to say I was crazy. It was the sex. Amazing.

[00:37:36]

No, no. I really like living things to make you feel like you're the issue.

[00:37:43]

Yes, there's an Aquarius.

[00:37:44]

OK, I'm with you on that. I didn't know that was an Aquarius trait, but I'm totally with you. That's exactly what happened.

[00:37:50]

And I'm a LEO, so I feel like not just cancer, Leo, long as you don't. This is where the people today.

[00:37:56]

Yeah, Leo, women are calling it strong this morning. OK, all right.

[00:38:00]

Eight hundred five eight five one two five one. We're talking about Zodiac toxic signs. Well who is toxic in the Zodiac sign. Is it cancer? Is a more toxic or less toxic? What about my Vergos? What about Sagittarius? Aquarius. That's what we're talking about. Call us up right now is the Breakfast Club. Good morning.

[00:38:17]

I know I'm coming me jumping into the Breakfast Club top. Come on. Eight hundred five five one five one morning.

[00:38:32]

Everybody is D.J. Envy. Angela Ye shall I mean the guy we are at a breakfast club. Good morning. Now, if you're just joining us, we're talking about something Justin Laboy said. Justin Laboy came through the other day and was talking about Zodiac signs, and this is what he said about cancer women. Hey, listen, if you're looking for a wife, get you a cancer, that's all I'm saying, that they only.

[00:38:52]

They don't only nontoxic. So I said, how do you feel about cantonments? My guess is I agree this. I agree. You know, I love cats when my wife is excitatory, but yeah, just terror. Yes. Cats is a very nurturing and loving and they're going to ride with you, but don't cross them when you cross them.

[00:39:11]

What was your sign? The big reveal? Listen, I'm a Scorpio.

[00:39:17]

Oh, no, Scorpio men are the worst. I was I listen, I think I'm a God fearing man.

[00:39:24]

So we're asking eight five eight five one two five one. Is there any truth to this? Hello.

[00:39:28]

Who's this morning? Is black. How you doing. Good morning. Good morning.

[00:39:34]

So I'm a cancer and I'm the most nurturing, most amazing, loving feeling woman in the world, I believe. Yeah, I've heard about this a lot in that elevator real quick. And so large is a cancer too. Yes, yes. Yes. That's my heart. That's right. I would say the most part this time it has to be sort of I'm sorry. And it was so amazing. He was like later in the sun. But when you walked up on that, it was just a sense of saying, like, oh, he would play with my my emotions, my energy.

[00:40:11]

And every time I tried to I call him out on it would be like, oh, I need pace. Well, I need feeling. I need to take care of me, you know, give me more time and about, you know, after three or four times you feel the same. Like I tried to put something on my, you know, change the way that I talked to him or communicated with him. I was in like a thousand dollars worth a million times that shesh girl with me.

[00:40:36]

What you doing that? And I will say this about your cancer women.

[00:40:42]

You guys will be in the worst relationship and you will stick it out and stay and not leave a person and say you're going to leave and not leave and just keep it going after your cancer. Women are doing that's a cancer treat, period, like cancer that we're loyal to a fault we are.

[00:40:56]

And I was so I was like, yeah, you hurt me, but I would still be here. I'm gonna take care of you. You hurt yourself. And meanwhile, I'm starting to deal with this girl. Bad girl. Next thing he called me Bad Boy, and I was like, oh, you call. I'm cursing. But she lied about his age.

[00:41:12]

You told me he was thirty. Oh, my God. I look them up on the property appraisers right in the thirty six. So why are you lying about your age?

[00:41:20]

Wow, girl, you know why that's so funny? You said that because you know, I said I don't like Scorpio man. The Scorpio man I was with lied about his age too. He told me because I was in college. Still, I think he told me he was twenty four, but he was really twenty seven. And he said this because he said he went to jail for three years.

[00:41:37]

So that's three years that was taken from his life.

[00:41:39]

So he that to Lord have mercy. That's a good one.

[00:41:44]

So look, look, obviously you've been hurt by this gentleman. You just just let it all out. Say the man's name. Say what he did, get it off your chest. Because I never have I never heard you do the Elmo voice before.

[00:41:53]

So that was one of the many things he kept getting arrested. I'm to tell you the truth, his baby mom was pregnant at the time, but he told me that she was pregnant by somebody else the whole time. She was still pregnant by him.

[00:42:05]

And I only found out when he went to jail that it was a lot. And he's sorry. I said to get a restraining order against him when I was talk about that. Yeah. You still see him when I was last.

[00:42:15]

I've seen them and now I was innocent way back then. Oh, all right. Hello.

[00:42:20]

Who's this? What the hell are you doing here? Are you in the Pellekaan? An earthquake. It must be a Scorpio. Hey, what's up, bro?

[00:42:32]

We're talking about toxic zodiac signs. Talk to us.

[00:42:35]

Yeah, and they got rid of it. Well, I think you're of today one day with a normal combo. I think it might be good.

[00:42:43]

Did she ever pay for it to file a police report or anything? You just let it go? No, I called the cops on it, so I go alone. All right, you snitch.

[00:42:54]

Stop it, man. You did the right thing. All right, brother. Thank you. So what's the moral to the story, guys?

[00:43:00]

The moral of the story is, I think, you know, based on your own experiences, that's what you don't think is the most toxic sign.

[00:43:06]

Right. Guys get along with certain other signs better. Like some people just aren't good together. Certain signs just don't mix. Yeah. And you could be perfect for somebody else.

[00:43:15]

And you have you ever read, like, your astrology and, you know, saw somebody sign and saw your sign and it says you and that person are not compatible. That's one of your closest people. So it just is what it is. You know, I just think it's all based off experiences. But I will tell all you can't is out there. Stop trying to save people. That's our mother. Effing problem. OK, let them drown.

[00:43:36]

All right. Well, we got room on the way. Yes.

[00:43:39]

Mona Scott Young, she says that she feels she scrutinized very differently when compared to her male counterparts in reality television.

[00:43:47]

All right. We'll talk about it when we come back is the Breakfast Club. Good morning. Morning, everybody. Is Steve. Envy Angela Charlamagne, the guy we are, the Breakfast Club, good morning. What's so funny?

[00:43:58]

I'm laughing at Nick. Nick is going in on Tribe on Instagram, and he said that he got a dish record company called Deeter for Trav. So you can tune in Monday for this battle. I don't think you're going to hurt your feelings with a song called Dede.

[00:44:12]

No, I don't think so either. But you know what? Let me shout out to my big family and everybody over beat tonight, me and my wife. We're going to be hosting a virtual pre party for the NAACP Image Awards, which is Saturday.

[00:44:26]

So we shouldn't be talking about that. I'm not.

[00:44:30]

I'm not. No, no. Don't don't don't even do it. Don't even do it. So we're going to be talking about the NAACP Awards and she'll be talking about some of the people nominated this year. Me and my wife, we break it down, which is pretty cool. So they actually it was Bring Your Husband to work day. So my wife allowed me to come to work with. So it was pretty cool.

[00:44:46]

The Internet would say, why do they have a nonblack family hosting? So you can definitely check out Betty and Facebook tonight.

[00:44:54]

I think it's going to be on both. Just follow me on Instagram and Twitter to exactly where. And so shout out to my Betty family again. Me and my wife are talking about the NAACP Image Awards. Some of the performances and everything that's going on is pretty dope.

[00:45:05]

So we got the whole let's show you some of the winners, too, in the next hour. In the room, a report also, OK? Are you admitting that your black envy. I've always said I'm black. What's wrong with you?

[00:45:16]

I don't believe he always says I went to Hampton. That's what I did. Go to him to ask him if he's black. You say you went to Hampton after I did go to. Have you met my mother for having on black? Stop it. Because people believe you. Every time somebody like you, you're really black shot at me. And I'm like, do not listen to your Dominican.

[00:45:37]

And, you know, listen, I'm happy that Beatty is showing love to the brown people. You know what I mean? NAACP Awards is good. What else are we talking about? Well, the guy hosting Danny Lake, we just said we were going to leave that girl alone and don't drag into.

[00:45:58]

It's a joke. Yeah, you're right. Everybody say it is a joke right into Larry. And she's right. You're right. You're right. You're right. What else are we talking in a room?

[00:46:05]

Let's talk about Jessica Alba and why she stopped acting. All right. We'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.

[00:46:12]

Listen, this. All the guys got the the report got got the the room over the Breakfast Club. Mona Scott Young did an interview with Madame Nguoi, and she feels that she is scrutinized very differently. If you compare her to Andy Cohen and to Carlos King, you know, she gets a lot of backlash for the love and hip hop franchise. People say that she does exploit black people and doesn't show them in a great light. And so she said, as far as sexism, does she feel that's what's at play here?

[00:46:47]

And Mona Scott Young responded and said, absolutely. You look at Andy Cohen, you look at Carlos King. Carlos actually worked on the hip hop franchise, but they've never been pinpointed in the same way. But I think it's a little bit of the cross that we bear as women and any business that we're in, she said. We're held to a different standard. We're scrutinized very differently. I don't think anyone stop to think about how difficult it is to be competitive in this space.

[00:47:09]

I'm one of the few black women who own a physical production company. That in itself is an accomplishment. I don't think many people start to credit and understand that it isn't easy. Now, one question about Tamar is a reality show that aired on TV. She said there was no manipulation. I think she didn't like the way a lot of things turned out, but it certainly wasn't because any of it was manipulated. I think it was just a case of not the right time for her and not the right time in her life.

[00:47:32]

Interesting.

[00:47:33]

I think I think, you know, there's some truth to more than saying Beverly Truth. And I also think it's content to, you know, I mean, loving hip hop is way more ratchet show than real The Real Housewives.

[00:47:44]

But they get they get ratcheted up on all those shows and housewives, they pull each other's hair, they drag each other. One good one girl is one lady. One woman is suing another woman for pulling her hair and dragging her in in housewives.

[00:47:57]

They definitely, definitely fight the tables and argue. So, yeah, she definitely pinpointed in love and hip hop. I would say they do it a lot more. OK, so yes.

[00:48:05]

So it is more ratchet than the Bad Girls Club. I mean, that show was Ratchet the Bad Girls Club. I don't know who produced that. I don't think it's Carlos King or Andy Cohen, and I will say to that, you know, Mona gets she gets scrutinized more by black people. You know, black people hold her to a different standard. Then I guess you know the audience.

[00:48:24]

So I don't even know what Carlos shows, Carlos. Well, Carlos does. He does a Basketball Wives. He does housewives, I believe, of Atlanta. And he also did the own show. But he also does positivity stuff, positive stuff, too, because he did the own show behind every man.

[00:48:38]

He did that. He does and he does both sides. And he's not as visible as money. That is true, too.

[00:48:44]

All right. Jamie Foxx, since we're talking about TV, has landed a new production deal with MTV. He is doing that along with Gitari Turner, who is his producing partner. So they'll be developing an executive producing original movies that have a focus on black, indigenous and people of color filmmakers.

[00:49:00]

I love it. Not just MTV, though, is CBS, CBS, Viacom and MTV. MTV groups are dropping a close bond for Jamie Fox. I like that. Like with CBS and Viacom got going on over there with the Paramount streaming service and everything. They need some black creators over there creating content.

[00:49:17]

All right. And Kim Kardashian, yesterday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. He was just filling me in on everything. I think he was going off girl.

[00:49:26]

He girl. I couldn't believe I got the chills that that second vaccine had me on. It was able to actually tell us to T..

[00:49:34]

It was pretty good, though. Is he all right?

[00:49:37]

Which one to know, you know, about Tristan. Okay. It just. All right. So Tristan was a little funny because he was like, yo, you don't claim your Instagram, but she was like, you cheated on me. Why would I claim you cheated on me? That's what I want to do at that point. And people are going at me on Instagram.

[00:49:51]

He was like, I feel the way I want to be clean it. Very like voice Toronto, very light.

[00:49:55]

So they are back together now? Well, a little bit. But she hasn't claimed them yet, but they can look together. But Kym was stressed out because Kim was like, yo, I don't know what's going on with you.

[00:50:05]

She gets on the phone. She was like, does he want me to come now? Next week I'll come. And then Kourtney was like, you know, I spoke to you yesterday. It's like what you say. He was like he was he was sorry for the tweets that he put on Instagram and Twitter. I shouldn't put them on Twitter. I said, I can't have you out in the NAACP Image Awards preshow. Let's hear. Let's hear part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians from last night.

[00:50:25]

So we don't have to hear this reenactment.

[00:50:27]

A.J., it's no secret that everyone sees things in the media about my life with Kanye, but I've always been really respectful and not talking about issues, that kind of thing. I have. I mean, you guys clearly see them on Twitter, so I'm still going to choose to not really talk about it here. OK, so and now people are saying that part of what happened was behind the scenes when he launched his campaign for president and then also referred to Kim and Chris as white supremacists on Twitter as the tweet.

[00:50:59]

Yeah, she was a big step.

[00:51:03]

You can't you can't have an outlaw white supremacist annual white Lord have mercy.

[00:51:09]

And Khateeb was on this episode, too, because Khateeb was talking to Kylie and was so happy that he came to her video and they were talking about the making of that.

[00:51:17]

And it was pretty cool. Thank you. We appreciate your time. And we would you have gotten back together with Justin.

[00:51:24]

You answer the question.

[00:51:28]

You're talking here no more. I'm doing my research here. Try to tell you what's going on in the world, in the street. We asked you a question. Why can't you answer?

[00:51:35]

Because just because they were actually talking about having another child and they seem like they're working it out and I'm happy for them. They were saying that they can't let everybody else judge. That's what I like. I like those two together. Yes, he did. All right. That's OK. And we got the Emmy and a ballot sitting next to their daughter. So cute. I love I love the show. Actually, I can do babysit to see if she wanted a child.

[00:51:59]

It was pretty good girl. All right. Thank you, Andy.

[00:52:04]

Thank you, cutie. What? Thank you. You see this picture of Charlemagne? No, I don't know if you could really.

[00:52:10]

OK, if you see what he was wiping up, you really got my whole protein shake all over the death. Wow. And then because he's. But Dan whispered in my ear, get the wet wipes out.

[00:52:24]

All right. Who are you giving that donkey to? Who else is get that dog to me? Shut up. We need OK, Georgia state troopers to come to the front of the congregation. I don't know their individual names, but the ones that arrested Paul can. And they need to come to the congregation. I'm in front of the congregation is fine. What? I need to have a word with him. No, I'm trying to sit at the same time now getting.

[00:52:43]

All right. We'll get to that.

[00:52:45]

Next is The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club, your mornings. I'll never be the same Angela here.

[00:52:52]

And the general insurance has been helping people save money for nearly 60 years. They offer the quality coverage you deserve at prices you can afford, made the right call and go with the general, call 800 general or visit the general dotcom. Some restrictions apply.

[00:53:05]

Don't get a date in due time. I've got to ask you did. You. Or don't start your day, huh? I'm affecting all around you. I want this man to blow his man, Charlamagne, the top of his gloves, had to make a judgment of what was going to be on the docket of the day. They chose the Breakfast Club, whose donkey the day to day swell and Sharon Donkey.

[00:53:35]

Today, that is Sharon who said that. By the way, I'm here today for Friday, March 26. Go to Georgia State Troopers for their unlawful and unconstitutional arrest of Democratic State Representative Park King and drop on a close bond for Paakantyi.

[00:53:48]

OK, let the record show Lanard Charlamagne to gun. McKelvie is not on the left or the right. I'm just black. That's what I care about blackness. And I think all politicians are full of it. Politicians are like your crackhead cousin, OK, you love them, but you know not to trust them, but so much because he's a crackhead. Same thing with politicians. We don't trust them so much and rightfully so. And just like your crackhead cousin, politicians can actually do good work for you if you pushed them.

[00:54:14]

OK, you also have to stay on top of them and make sure they actually get the work you want them to do. Done. See, if you turn a blind eye for a moment, then you crack cousin will get over on you because you crack it. Cousin doesn't really care about you.

[00:54:25]

He cares about crack, a.k.a. his own self-interest. Just like politicians. They don't really care about the people. They care about their own self-interest on both sides of the aisle. By the way, OK, there is a handful of politicians and I mean handful that truly care about the people that truly care about something other than themselves in the party they represent. It just is what it is. We must accept it and make sure we get what we can out of politicians the same way we must make sure we get the most out of our crackhead cousins once again.

[00:54:54]

If we turn a blind eye for a moment, our crackhead cousins and politicians will get over on us. And right now we have turned a blind eye. Black America. There is simply no other way to say this. They don't want you niggas to vote. OK, let's talk like how they talk when they are behind the scenes, white whispering to each other. OK, volume. OK, Stacey Brown black voters matter. They want the Oval Office.

[00:55:19]

They flip to stop these things from exercising their right to vote. Look, it's perfectly fine to be worried about, sweetie. Incurables break up is perfectly fine to call out the hypocrisy of a master manipulator, narcissist, liar like Derrick Jackson. But don't let all of that distract you from the fact that the hierarchy in this caste system called America does not want you Negroes to vote. OK, two hundred and fifty three bills across 43 states have been introduced to restrict voting access.

[00:55:50]

I repeat, two hundred and fifty three bills across forty three states have been introduced to restrict voting access. Salute to the good system.

[00:55:59]

Jemele Hill Dropping Clues Month. Jemele Hill. I saw her tweet this out the other day. She tweeted, Two hundred and fifty two bills across forty three states have been introduced to restrict voting access despite little evidence of voter fraud. We have had seven mass shootings in the last week and only offered thoughts and prayers in America. Black brown people voting is considered more dangerous than guns. Accurate perspective. And if you need more proof that they view black people and brown people is dangerous.

[00:56:27]

If you need more proof that they look at us as a threat, then look no further than this situation with Representative Park in Georgia.

[00:56:32]

See, she got arrested yesterday after she knocked on Republican Governor Brian Kent State out of office door while he was signing an elections bill to stop unions from voting. OK, now, keep in mind, Representative Paul Cannon works at the state house. She is a lawmaker. She wasn't trespassing. She had every right to be there. You heard what I said. She worked for the state house. She is a lawmaker. She wasn't trespassing. She had every right to be there.

[00:56:55]

All she wanted was some transparency of the bill signing and then this happened. Let's go to CNN for the report, please.

[00:57:01]

I did speak with Representative Bachmann and she's in Atlanta, Democrat's attorney Gerald Griggs. Now, Greig's tells me that she was arrested, that she is being charged with obstruction at this point. What happened was basically Representative Cannon was trying to get in, knocking on the door with other protesters. There were other representatives there so that people could see the signing of SB two zero two into law. She'd been a very vocal critic of it and what it would do to voting rights, she believed.

[00:57:33]

And at that point, as he's signing, we kind of hear something on that live stream. It appears that is what this was. You can see in the video those officers sort of taking her and carrying her out of the Capitol.

[00:57:45]

Let's listen to the actual live scream. The video is courtesy of Tamara Stevens. Let's hear the actual arrest.

[00:57:49]

The governor is signing a bill that affects all Georgians. Why is he doing it a private and why is he trying to keep elected officials who are representing us out of the process?

[00:57:58]

Yeah, you said you her one more time, like you're going to do something weird. I know you are not representing what for, but under arrest for what? For trying to say something that our governor is doing. What is she in violation of?

[00:58:14]

I want you to the America. It comes to a point where you just have to cut to be all right. This country simply hates black people. We have to stop with this whole liberty and justice for all nonsense. OK, all right. When that was written, we were slaves and considered three feet.

[00:58:30]

Three fifty three fifths of a human. OK, oh, that liberty and justice for all. No is liberty and justice for whites in particular. All white male. So how did this black woman, part Kenyan, knock on masses door and demand transparency? OK, Georgia state troopers said we don't care if she's a legislator who works here. She's just a nigger to us and they treated her as such. OK, she actually works in the state house in Georgia.

[00:58:51]

She works in that government building. I told you that. Right. And knocked on the door and got arrested faster than all of Vanilla Ice is who rushed to Capitol Building on January six. It's actually comical at this point. OK, Lieutenant W. Mark Riley, spokesman for the Georgia State Patrol, said in a statement that part Cannon was warned to stop knocking on the door because the area was reserved for the governor's staff. She was advised that she was disturbing what was going on inside, and if she did not stop, she would be placed under arrest.

[00:59:20]

Go watch the video. Don't just take my word for it. Go off what we just played. Go watch the video of Parkening, who actually works in the state house in Georgia. Did I tell you that she works in the state house in Georgia? Go watch the video, OK? And just look at how they treated her opposed to the domestic terrorist organization Al Kracker that was trespassing on the Capitol building, damaging the building, looking to hang the then vice president, Mike Pence, an attempted coup at the Capitol Building in DC and none of them got arrested as fast as this is the Paul Kennedy did in Georgia.

[00:59:53]

Well, thank you, Parkening. OK, I thank you, because I'm happy that someone in Georgia, someone in that statehouse building in Georgia, someone in government cares that they are trying to. Black people from voting. OK, I know that sounds to stuff you got to call it what it is, they try to stop you nigger from voting. OK, Joe Biden had some thoughts on these bills, too. He has some thoughts on voter suppression.

[01:00:13]

Let's listen.

[01:00:14]

When I'm worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is.

[01:00:18]

Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop right there. Stop. I don't care anything he says after that blatant lie. I don't care. The blatant lie is that this is un-American. No, stop saying that. This is America. It's always been America. You know that. And until you can acknowledge that, nothing will change. I'll keep saying this is not America. As if in nineteen sixty five seven lawmakers didn't stand on the Senate floor and try to stop the Voting Rights Act, calling it an unconstitutional assault on their state's right to decide who was qualified to cast a ballot, a.k.a. it's unconstitutional to let niggers vote.

[01:00:50]

That was just fifty six years ago when Joe Biden was 23 years old. He's Michael Jordan, so he knows what the hell is going on. Stop saying this is un-American. It is absolutely America. And that is the problem. And until we can have the honest conversation about oppression and systemic racism being exactly what America is about, then nothing will change. Happy Friday.

[01:01:11]

Please give the Georgia state troopers who arrested part in the biggest ha Chelsea Handler get in on some of that action. Hee haw, hee haw. That is way too much. Dan, my name is Kathy Griffin. I want to chime in. Please give this giant Jaromil male the biggest heehaw.

[01:01:29]

Right? Not anything I can ask. OK, ok.

[01:01:33]

Just wondered why everybody got that man. Oh OK. Anymore. I think that's the course of the quiet.

[01:01:42]

All right. All right. Well thank you for that. Don't get a day now. When we come back, Ride Wave will be joining us. He's got a new album out today to call. So Fly. This is the third project. That's right. So we don't give a ride wave. When we come back is The Breakfast Club.

[01:01:55]

Good morning. The Breakfast Club. So it's always been a dream, but what really made me get out here, it like seeing my peers, like really succeeding in parenting my mom. She definitely wasn't really I don't really live with my mom at the time, you know. So but my pops my pops had just got out of prison. So he was really trying to get me to do like, you know, sansei sound more realistic, come from.

[01:02:22]

But nobody can really do that, you know, that's everybody's dream. But nobody it's hard to believe it's like that where I come from your freedom.

[01:02:29]

So but even looking at Florida as a whole, like, you know, when you think about like Uncle Luke and you think about Rick Ross and Trick Daddy like they didn't inspire you.

[01:02:38]

And I really they were kind of like reform. They were kind of like way before my time. But I am a lot like anybody in Florida, like Florida. People are going to see Cotabato Nola because like he like, really inspired like my Floreana and because, you know, I'm a Flaubert too, you know. But just like he inspired me, like I could really do the things like singing about do it, like, OK, it's possible he gave it young.

[01:03:03]

It seems like you got a complicated relationship with your father. I know he did what, six, six years or so. But it seems like you've got a complicated relationship that is that the case?

[01:03:13]

It will go up and down, but that's really my boy to allow it to. I just want to be like my daddy, you know, to, you know, inspired me to be better, you know, be better, but not as my boys be ahead. But that's my boy. I look like an astronaut about a partner. I'm sorry. What are you going to be? I just step with his temper, his demise, you know, sanity.

[01:03:33]

You getting older and got money, you know, be full of myself a little bit. But when I was younger, though, I was always my boys always want to be around and, you know, so twisted your pops.

[01:03:43]

I always put his hands on you no matter how old you are showing my past. Yeah, my passing. Like, no, you know, screen. Yeah. So, you know, he really he really trying to fail. He failed to show you what he does that what do you want to for your mom.

[01:03:59]

You a temporary state witness to murder. And I was uh. Oh you.

[01:04:06]

Oh in elementary school my age when he came home, did you have like a little resentment for him, just like you felt like he left you because you didn't quite understand. Like when I was when he was gone. I did. Well, I only came home. I went away instantly, like he was like really doing his thing, like coming around make so, you know, like now I went to school today type, you know, like cocky.

[01:04:29]

I wanted to make sure he wasn't born in the same direction as him. That's why he wanted to have a show like Boards and make sure you stay on your last make sure you do the right thing. I call him Bertran Fourteen. So when he came home, like when he seen what I was kind of like what I was into and what I was doing, he kind of changed my mindset, like drew you on the screen. You go down, you can go to prison, but you got to find something better to do, you know?

[01:04:51]

See, that's what I'm kind of trying to tell what original trying to portray the image because I made it out of the you know, I'm just happy to be here, to be doing something positive. You feel I'm saying, what's your relationship with your mother today? You talk about your mother earlier. She does raise you early on. What was what was their relationship like? And that's my baby. Well, my daddy, love. That's all I really had.

[01:05:10]

I saw her in her mom's lines and grandma and Nana, that's all I wanted us all her.

[01:05:16]

What did they instill in you that made you the man you are right now? I mean, they tried a lot of. But, you know, I still got persuaded by others. You know, a child, a boy need a man. You know, I'm saying give him. That's why I really get no real gain until I got older like my dad. Can you break the house is like, what money to buy, what kids do you like?

[01:05:38]

And he be hustling at least out of respect. Respected that.

[01:05:40]

But you breaking with people I, I said but my mom only with China but he really kind of, you know, saying just now that you are like you said, the center of attention and you're not used to that.

[01:05:51]

And I know you had this popular loner that's pretty much about that. How hard is it for you to make that adjustment? Because obviously you've been doing the music because you love it and it's therapeutic for you, but then there's a lot more that comes with it. So how have you been adjusting to that?

[01:06:06]

Like and I like my work on at least not to me, like when opposing the light, because I won't really be looking for attention. But I know what you got in. I'm in a game where you got to keep up, you know what I'm saying? But I just be trying to try the music. Don't really be with all the extra stuff. So it's kind of hard adjusting. You know, Sonobe, forgetting that I even have all these people waiting to hear what I'm going to do next, I wonder if you got to keep up or if you can just run your own race.

[01:06:30]

You know what I mean? Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I just been dropping you. You're really going to hear from me to the drop music off. I'm going with some of my mind. I might just have to get it off and on myself and then forget it's a three, four hundred thousand people and watch it as something. I have to delete it real quick. Come back now. Triviality. Blast from poster. I really do it for that.

[01:06:48]

You know, I'm sad, but yeah. You really going to really hear from me like with a beat president. I took the time to drop like right now you really can't really hear from me right now. We've seen during the pandemic you were still out doing shows and stuff. So we didn't really. Slowly slowed you down, but didn't stop you, but we've seen one show where you perform in the stage crumpled in. So what happened?

[01:07:06]

And all you or you saw in that school that I've been out all night trying to sue nobody more than I like this. It didn't really feel like it.

[01:07:17]

Do you have PTSD from that when you get on stage? Yes, I see the stages.

[01:07:22]

You lie down, but I really never happened to me before. I've been coming up and I've been in some places like Hole in the Wall. It never happened. I kind of felt like I was sabotaged, you know? See, let me give you an update. We just yeah, we was a little declawing, so it could have been you could have been brought down onto the stage.

[01:07:45]

We got more with Rodway when we come back. Let's get into a single this is Hot on ice is The Breakfast Club. Good morning.

[01:07:51]

Nice. Hot on ice. Good morning. Everybody is the one you shall I mean, the guy we are the Breakfast Club.

[01:08:00]

We're still kicking it the right way.

[01:08:02]

Now, also seeing that you got into a serious car accident.

[01:08:06]

Yeah, man, I blew it in my face in my Corvette tripping. I really want I'll put my heart. Just have my daughters. I'll be fine. I will go out, tell me, like, will you to be someone you know. I'm saying, yeah, blue. And I told her that we had two daughters, which at least now they had just had them and it was born early. So that's why I supposed to be at I'm still I was still running around trying to show us.

[01:08:30]

I see you sampled the legendary Pepsi interview from from one to seven nine in Atlanta on the new album, too. What made you do that? I really understand what he was talking about until I got into the impact of walking people shoes, who they seem like I'll be seeing to a lot of these, but not in a lot of interviews. Be too tough like to that blowing library did it like we hear. I don't want to stand. Would it be.

[01:08:55]

Would it be right? Would it be a problem? People like so people just want to be a satellite but we get too much money like we made it out of screech like well you know, that's why I understand my only, you know, saying I want to meet them. You know that.

[01:09:08]

But you don't want me. No, I swear to God you asked me on.

[01:09:12]

I mean, they already know that you don't have a lot of guest appearances and you said you're not really on it like that. And even your whole recording process is probably different than how a lot of artists record their music. So the new album, how did you change anything or is it still just you and the engineer?

[01:09:29]

Yeah, just be me, an engineer. I had no features on my album, but I was going to the jewelry store and I bought an apology. And when I seen them, I would just rap like you. I'm sorry. I would kind of not like I want to see a point and but I was just like he kind of walked up to me like what you taste like then I was crazy. Like, no bro was like that. Like it's some good too.

[01:09:52]

Like I don't get it twisted like but it just like you have to be the right time. Right place for me to see that because I will never like you know but good.

[01:10:00]

He he the only feature and now I'm sure a lot of people reach out to you to try to get features from you. So how do you handle that. Because sometimes people have an issue if you don't do a feature with them or you're not receptive to that. But clearly you, like you said, are a loner.

[01:10:16]

People be reaching out to do so. But I probably never even like it'll probably never get to me because the people around me know how I you know, so I I'm I'm just chill right now. If I work with somebody is because like them, I knew them when I was I was a fan of them before music and I just got to see what it's but you know, it's like it's like Gates. I'm like because I just listen about coming out like middle school.

[01:10:38]

I would listen to a lot. Yeah, I remember watching, but, you know, I've seen people like that, people who use Ed Sheeran because I was listening to buffoonish, you know, you know. No, no. I'm just saying like, oh, you know, any of the hip hop is a hip hop guy. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I haven't spoken to him in a couple of months, but he probably with your music heavy and it's crazy if he is what I'm asking, be blowing me like I'm really here, like I'm really English.

[01:11:08]

I remember sitting home watching it like, you know, and hello. This is not like saying practice. I just wonder what I'm to say. If I ever get to, you know, singing like crazy, I'd be blacking out sometimes like this. I feel like I'm wake up.

[01:11:23]

But as I said, when you walk in and he was like, man, it's crazy because you imagine yourself, it's really like really crazy. Like I was always like in my head. I wonder what I would be doing, what I'd be saying.

[01:11:34]

Like, you see how dirty the studio is now.

[01:11:37]

I love you, too. So, uh, what's your favorite song, man? I'm interested.

[01:11:45]

I found your happiness on my bedroom floor. I forget what the name of the song is, the only evidence that you me before and I don't get ways of missing you anymore. The more like Supernanny tides in my eyes. Yeah, that's that. I forget the name of that song, I always call you and you and I'm putting together and sharing Rodway collaboration, we're going to make that happen. Yeah, boy, you do that right way. Yet, man and man start feeling.

[01:12:14]

Watch what he's been up here a couple of times breakfast. But I think we got them so drunk they couldn't even drive home.

[01:12:21]

Well, that's crazy. Yeah. No, my God, it's gonna sound crazy, but I stayed the night at your house while you get your guy in a coma by about a year and a half ago. That's my man. Have you have you have you ever attempted to do like therapy or any type of mental wellness to deal with the pain, the trauma, maybe music? Well, I mean, I feel I can't really talk to people about them feeling comfortable for me.

[01:12:48]

You know, probably my mom a big moment, like we could talk about some stuff, but still sort of persuasion. But I don't really want to talk about it, but that's good.

[01:12:55]

I mean, if you sit down at the office and it feels uncomfortable, that's good, because it just means you growing and you just getting it out, you know? Yeah. When I'm in the studio, it's just me. I don't have the same engineer for the past two years. Be on the road every day and hotel or he come to my house or whatever we have every day and it's just me and him in the room. That's it.

[01:13:15]

Because if you want to get out of that, you feel uncomfortable with other people in there because of the stuff you express then. Yeah. So what about when you are performing? That's what I'm saying. Like when I'm performing, everybody's screaming. It's so different. It's like, yeah, I understand how I feel. That's what's up. But when I'll be right, when I'm finished, drop it. I don't really see it like a bunch of people from here.

[01:13:35]

They're clinging to it. You know, I read out of about a town where I heard it. It already be for me.

[01:13:43]

What about the words Love Innaloo? You think it's possible to find a woman? I had it that loves you for you. And I want to feel like right now, I think it's I think it's too late now. And I'm saying that's why I just that's not why I stay with it. But that's like one of the reasons, because life is hard to find, you know, somebody who knows how you feel now. You know, I'm sad, but, yeah, I feel like it's too late and I just won't even try to leave before she ever cheated on you.

[01:14:09]

So cheating is a non-negotiable for you?

[01:14:12]

Yeah, I'm a keep that energy. I don't care what interview you do when they ask you questions, say, like, I wanna talk about that man. When did you know that you made it? Like, what was that point when you were like, damn, everything I want it is is happening starting now, probably this morning, I swear on my kid.

[01:14:34]

But this morning I don't know what to come screaming into the Breakfast Club soon, number one or number one. And number two on Apple Music probably this morning.

[01:14:45]

I am connecting you and Ed, man. I first of all, I'm happy that you came. I know that you don't like doing interviews. You know, really the only one I love doing this you I'm saying I just don't want to, but I love doing it. I appreciate your help. Me too. I'm coming out today. So what you want to play out? You know, you could probably play. Don't forget what we're seeing. OK, we have a couple of bleeps, but we don't get that on my man right away.

[01:15:14]

Man Thank you for coming, brother. Pursuable.

[01:15:17]

This is the room, a report with Angela. You have it right this close. Listen up. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

[01:15:27]

Yeah, well, let's talk about new music Fridays right away, as you know, is out today. So fly.

[01:15:34]

Hmm. What's love? Yeah. So make sure you listen to that by you. We just had to work.

[01:15:42]

Vic Mensa also has a new project out today. OK, I tape Orsay. I know you like this young dolphin key Gloc.

[01:15:52]

Come on to. Come on, go get it. Look, smoulder don't bother with my hero. Ain't no different than what I want want. Look, I got a cheat code. It ain't no free.

[01:16:05]

Wants to see me drop down for Dolphin Golok. Damn it. I told y'all on the radio last week that the best rappers in the game right now all from Memphis and that key Larkin young dog, Dumb and Dumber two is what I'll be riding to all weekend. That's the best duo in rap right now. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I fight me.

[01:16:22]

All right. Twenty four. OK, Golden Elderado. And that's just some of your new music that's out today, Justin Bieber, by the way, put out the deluxe version of justice. So that's also out as well. All right. Now, NAACP Image Awards, besides the fact that NBA gear cohosting before the show, right, to get well, you're her co-host. She's the main host. Yeah.

[01:16:45]

What have you want to call it? Yes. Bring your husband to work day. So we are the NAACP Image Awards are tomorrow. So we're doing a pre virtual show tonight on Facebook, Betty. And we talk about last year's show and some of the nominations for this year. So it's pretty cool.

[01:16:59]

I totally understand why he is hosting because she's a black woman. But I don't understand why you're hosting and you're Dominican.

[01:17:06]

Sir, I want to ask you, are I told you I went to the university? Sir, I'm a black man.

[01:17:15]

I think those are went to have to do it. No, she did not.

[01:17:17]

She definitely did not come out with some of the new ideas, those ACHAK outstanding male artist, Drake, outstanding female artist, Beyonce. That's outstanding. So RB song is Do It Clelia Hally, outstanding hip hop rap song, Savage Remix for this stallion Khloe and how he had a lot of wins on this. But yes, those are just some of the winners that you can actually watch. March 27th is when you can see everything happen live and it's hosted by Anthony Anderson, narrated by M.C. Light.

[01:17:49]

LeBron is going to get the president's award. That's their most prestigious award for the night. To also Swazi class, Alicia Keys, Arsenio Hall, Michelle Obama, Regina King, Samuel L. Jackson, Tracy Morgan and more will be presenting.

[01:18:03]

Yeah, last year, Rihanna got the president's award. Mm hmm. Look at you doing a little hosting duties up here, you know.

[01:18:12]

All right, now let's get into Razavi. Earlier this week, his ex-girlfriend, Carly Brooks, had some things to say about him. She did a tick tock video and she revealed some very serious allegations against Grassby. Here is what she said.

[01:18:28]

First, she gave me a black eye and I told everyone I did it to protect him. Then he strangled me in a parking lot where he said he was going to kill me.

[01:18:35]

I have a self-interest game and depending on issues around the female being assaulted by someone who has a rap on the ground level, he was strangling her. And somehow I didn't give any information on the description and I didn't press charges because I thought it was all my fault.

[01:18:49]

I was afraid of him and I didn't know how to get away until finally he held me down and had sex with me against my will, impregnated me, put me in the hospital, and I finally had the courage to get away from him.

[01:19:00]

That's hard. Oh, that is awful, Ali, I hope she is. I don't even know what to say about that. But she said she had no idea any of the blogs would pick up her video and that fortunately, she's been getting a lot of support from users on Tic-Tac and they are making her feel better. So some women who have also been abused and survived, a lot of things have shared their stories. And she said she is not clout chasing.

[01:19:22]

She's just telling her story and sharing what she does.

[01:19:25]

I mean, she clearly not trying to disguise her voice. Right. Like, what was that about? And I don't I mean, it's just tick, tick, tick, tick, tick tock. Oh, gotcha, gotcha. Mm hmm. All right. And, you know, if you watch it, there's photos of her with a black eye. She has a record of nine one one call that you heard, you know, all of that.

[01:19:43]

And she was just lying, she says, to protect Grassby and she didn't press any charges against him. All right. That is your rooma report. All right.

[01:19:52]

Thank you, Miss USA revolt. We'll see you guys on Monday, everybody else. Let's get to the mix. You know, we go back on a Friday. Let's go to the Breakfast Club.

[01:20:01]

Mountain Dew is partnering with BCUZ in an effort to uplift the next generation of badass black innovators and entrepreneurs with the real Change Opportunity Fund pitch competition, empowering students to go out and do is at Mountain Dew. That comes real change to enter. Morning, everybody is D.J. Envy.

[01:20:23]

Angela Ye shall I mean the guy we are the Breakfast Club now. It's Women's History Month. We Reppert today.

[01:20:29]

Well, first of all, happy birthday to Diana Ross, born and raised in Detroit. She was part of the Supremes, which was Motown's most successful act during the 1960s, also one of the best selling girl groups of all time. Now, after leaving the Supremes, she went solo and her first album had the songs Ain't No Mountain High Enough and a Reach Out and Touch Somebody's Hand, said, you know how successful that was. In addition to all of her musical ventures, she also was an actor.

[01:20:56]

She got a Golden Globe award and she was nominated for an Academy Award for the film Lady Sings the Blues. She also starred in Mahagonny and The Wiz as Dorothy. Later on, she acted in television shows and she was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for Out of Darkness and Double Platinum. Diana Ross was named the Female Entertainer of the Century by Billboard in 1976, and she is the only female artist to have number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist, as half of a duet as a member of a trio, and as an ensemble member.

[01:21:30]

Of course, she was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in nineteen eighty eight as a member of the Supremes. And she's in the Guinness Book of World Records for having more hits than any female artist in the church. With a career total of 70 hit singles. In 2012, Diana Ross got the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2016 she got the Presidential Medal of Freedom, her most successful album to date as Diana. And it was composed by our guy now Rogers and Bernard Edwards from Chic.

[01:21:59]

And that album had songs like I'm Coming Out and Upside Down. So again, we have to applaud Diana Ross for Women's History Month. But just in life in general, you know, she got a 20 million dollar, seven year recording contract back in 1980. And at that time, that was the highest contract to date. Here is Diana Ross on The Tonight Show talking about her experiences in show business and what worked for her who run the World Girls?

[01:22:27]

It's Women's History Month, and we're celebrating the most influential women in history. Check out this phenomenal woman.

[01:22:33]

I always said when I see it in show business, it's one thing to have another profession on the side or have another talent. Yes, I like a sheepherder. You know, if this fails, you can always, you know, herd sheep or something dramatic and you don't get a big hand for it. But I usually say to that question like that, really be devoted to it and believe in yourself. And if you're totally I think if they totally do get involved in that, it really is not you can, you know, get another job.

[01:23:00]

But if you believe in what you're going to do and stay with it and stay with.

[01:23:07]

And that was another phenomenal woman in history. All right, again, shout out to Diana Ross, a true legend. All right. Now, when we come back, we got the positive.

[01:23:16]

No, Don't Move is the Breakfast Club tomorrow morning.

[01:23:20]

Everybody is D.J. Envy. Angela Ye shall I mean, the guy we are at a breakfast club now set out to Betty and Facebook again. We my wife and I are hosting the NAACP Image Awards virtual show, of course.

[01:23:35]

So that is tonight. So definitely tuned in. Just hit my Instagram target, good times and everything. And of course, the show is tomorrow. I'm not answering your question.

[01:23:41]

I have questions about this. You know, the Internet says you're not black. That's because of you. You it's only because. Yes, it is not. This has been going on way before me. It says you're not black. So how could you hold the BET Awards and NAACP Image Awards at the same time? I am black, sir. I think you have the same smug Danny Legates, I don't think it's fair. I think everybody goes that Danny Leyb would not envy.

[01:24:09]

OK, shut up.

[01:24:10]

Well, we'll make sure we watch the awards. And I just want to shout out everybody in Detroit, y'all know I'm out here from my store, private label. We have our first ever wholesale day happening this Sunday. So if you are in the Detroit area, make sure you come to be here all weekend just taking care of things. That private label on eight Mylanta Quinter. All right. That's you've got a positive note. Yes, I do, it seems like authenticity has been a theme this week.

[01:24:37]

So I want to quote Briney Brown. Renea Brown says, Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It's about the choice to show up and be real, the choice to be honest, the choice to let our true selves be seen. Take that with you this weekend.

[01:24:54]

Breakfast Club. This is the.
