The HappyScribe connector for Claude connects your transcription library to Claude through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Add it once and Claude can search your transcripts, pull exact quotes with timestamps, and answer questions that span your whole meeting history — without you copying and pasting anything. It works on claude.ai and in the Claude Desktop app.

How to connect

Sign in to Claude at claude.ai — the connector page only opens for a signed-in account.

Open the HappyScribe connector in Claude's directory and add it to your workspace.

Sign in with your HappyScribe account to approve access, then ask Claude about your recordings.

Key capabilities

  • Search your library — find any transcript by keyword, speaker, or date without leaving the conversation
  • Exact quotes with timestamps — Claude cites the moment a line was said, so you can verify it in the player
  • Ask across 50 files — pose one question and get an answer sourced from up to 50 transcriptions at once
  • Create transcriptions — start a new transcription from a URL directly in the chat
  • Knowledge graph — surface the people and companies mentioned across all your meetings

What you can ask

Once the connector is live, Claude works from your real meeting record rather than its own memory. Ask it to summarise last week's customer calls, list every objection a prospect raised before they churned, or find the moment a decision was made and quote it verbatim. Because each answer is grounded in a specific transcript, you can trace any claim back to the recording it came from.

Access and privacy

The connector authenticates with your own HappyScribe account, so Claude only ever reaches the workspaces and folders you already have access to. You choose which folders to expose, and you can disconnect the connector at any time from your Claude settings without affecting your transcripts.

Prefer a manual MCP connection?

HappyScribe also runs as a standard MCP server, which is useful for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or a workspace where directory connectors are restricted. On claude.ai go to Customize > Connectors > Custom Connector and add the server URL https://www.happyscribe.com/mcp. The help centre has the steps for each client, including the Claude Desktop config file and the Claude Code command.
