Subtitle file or burned-in subtitles?

When you export from Filmora, the subtitles on the timeline are rendered into the video, so they are always visible. That works well for TikTok, Instagram Reels and any player without caption support.

For YouTube, Vimeo or a course platform, a separate subtitle file is often better: viewers can switch it off, you can correct it without re-rendering, and you can add one file per language.
