How it works

Authorize HappyScribe to access your Vimeo account and you can immediately browse your folder structure or search for videos by name. The integration imports video at the highest available quality to ensure optimal transcription accuracy. After editing your transcript, push VTT captions back to Vimeo. The integration handles language code mapping for complex languages and checks for existing text tracks to avoid creating duplicate captions.

Caption pushback and language mapping

Vimeo captions are pushed in WebVTT format, the standard for web-based video players. HappyScribe automatically maps complex language codes (such as Brazilian Portuguese or Simplified Chinese) to Vimeo-compatible codes, so your captions display correctly regardless of language. When you push an updated caption for a language that already has a track, the integration replaces the existing one — keeping your Vimeo caption list clean and organized.
