Import Wistia videos with project browsing, then push multi-language SRT captions back automatically.
The HappyScribe Wistia integration lets you transcribe Wistia videos and push captions back without ever leaving HappyScribe. Connect via OAuth to browse your Wistia projects, search for specific videos, and import them at the original file quality. Once transcription is complete, push SRT captions back to Wistia in multiple languages with automatic deduplication.
Authorize HappyScribe to access your Wistia account and you can immediately browse your project structure or search for videos by name. The integration imports video at the original file quality whenever available to ensure optimal transcription accuracy. After editing your transcript, push SRT captions back to Wistia. The integration handles ISO-639-2/B language code mapping and replaces existing caption tracks for the same language to avoid duplicates.
Wistia captions are pushed in SRT format, the standard for closed-caption files. HappyScribe automatically maps standard BCP-47 language codes to the ISO-639-2/B three-letter codes Wistia expects (eng, fra, deu, spa, por, etc.), so your captions display correctly regardless of language. When you push an updated caption for a language that already has a track, Wistia replaces the existing one — keeping your caption list clean and organized.
