How to get an AI meeting summary with HappyScribe?

Step 1

Connect your calendar

Sign up for free and connect your Google or Outlook calendar in under two minutes. HappyScribe will join every scheduled Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet on its own.

Step 2

HappyScribe records the call

HappyScribe joins as a participant and records both audio and video with automatic speaker labels. Mid-call language switches are handled and the recording is tied to the calendar event.

Step 3

Your meeting summary, ready in minutes

A tight ~150-word recap lands in your inbox within 90 seconds of the call ending. Three to five bullets of decisions and themes plus one paragraph of context. Paste it into Slack, email, or Notion in one click.

Do more with every meeting.

Slack-ready summaries

Every call produces a ~150-word recap with three to five bullets and a paragraph of context, tuned for skimming on a phone between meetings.

Chat with a meeting

Ask a question about any past call and get an answer with the exact timestamp. No more scrubbing through an hour of audio to find a decision.

Search across meetings

Summaries are indexed alongside transcripts, so you can find when a decision was made, who made it, and whether it changed three meetings later.

One-click share

Send the summary to a Slack channel, email a distribution list, or push it into a Notion page. The destination is configurable per meeting type.

Meeting recording

Every call is recorded with audio and video, backing every bullet in the summary so a skeptical stakeholder can verify the line instead of taking the AI's word for it.

Integrations

Connect HappyScribe to Slack, Notion, HubSpot, your CRM, Zapier, MCP, or API. Summaries flow straight to where you already work.

Custom summary templates

Configure recap format per meeting type: client call, internal standup, board call, weekly sync. Templates are workspace-level so the whole team ships consistent summaries.

Speaker identification

Every voice on the call is labeled automatically, so when a bullet reads "Marta agreed to move the launch to Friday" the name is pulled from the speaker track, not invented.

The AI Notetaker is a real game-changer for us. There's no need to write everything during meetings anymore; now I can actually engage.

SUMMARY

The call ends. The meeting summary is already in Slack.

A short, shareable recap lands in your inbox before your next meeting starts, so one paste catches the whole team up. This is the quick-share artifact, not the full record: if you need the formal record go to meeting-minutes; if you need tasks with owners go to action-items; if you need the full verbatim transcript go to meeting-transcription. Same call, same HappyScribe run, four different outputs.

MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT

Your team understands many languages. So does HappyScribe.

HappyScribe auto-detects the language being spoken and handles mid-call switching. Supports 150+ languages and dialects.

SECURITY

Your meeting records stay in Europe.

SOC 2 Type II-certified. GDPR-compliant. Headquartered in Barcelona with data stored in PCI DSS and ISO 27001-compliant EU data centers.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your content is never used to train AI models.

FLEXIBILITY

Works with or without a meeting bot.

HappyScribe joins your scheduled meetings as a participant, or you can use the browser-based recorder to go bot-free.

You control how your meetings are recorded.

One meeting. Everything you need.

Every HappyScribe meeting produces three outputs from a single run, all linked to the same recording.

AI Summary

Three to five bullets covering decisions and themes, followed by one short paragraph of context. ~150 words total. Delivered to your inbox in under 90 seconds so you can paste it into Slack, email, or Notion before the next meeting starts.

Structured Minutes

Topic-by-topic minutes with speaker attribution and action items, exportable to PDF, DOCX, or TXT. The formal record version of the same call, useful for board packs and compliance files.

I was amazed because he transcribed my interview done abroad automatically indicating who was speaking and what he was saying with indication of the timecodes and with a faithful translation. I have saved hours of work.

Accurate for US English transcription but not that ideal for Chinese transcription. I haven't tried out their translation beta feature yet so can't comment on that but it's nice they developed that extra feature to make the app complete

I've won a lot of time on my transcription work. It is not perfect with not really good audio but it does the job!

Every question you're about to Google.

What is an AI meeting summary?

An AI meeting summary is a short recap of a call, usually three to five bullets of decisions and themes plus a paragraph of context. HappyScribe generates it automatically from the meeting recording and delivers it to your inbox in under 90 seconds. It's meant to be pasted into Slack, email, or Notion without editing.

How is a meeting summary different from meeting minutes?

A summary is a ~150-word recap you share right after the call. Meeting minutes are a formal record with attendees, agenda, every decision, and action items, exportable to PDF for a board pack or compliance file. Different audiences, different lengths, different formats. See the meeting-minutes page if the formal record is what you need, or the action-items page if the task list with owners is what you need.

How does HappyScribe generate the summary?

HappyScribe joins your Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet as a participant, records the call, transcribes it with 95%+ accuracy, and runs the transcript through a summarization model trained on meeting structure. The model pulls decisions, open questions, and high-level themes. The result lands in your inbox in under 90 seconds with no prompting, editing, or manual trigger.

Is there a free AI meeting summary generator?

Yes. HappyScribe's free plan includes AI meeting summaries. Sign up with a Google or Outlook account, connect your calendar, and your next call produces a summary automatically. Paid plans add higher meeting limits, custom templates, and team workspaces.

Can I share the summary directly to Slack?

Yes. Connect Slack through the native integration or through Zapier, then pick a channel per meeting type. Client calls into #clients, internal standups into #team, exec reviews into a private channel. The summary posts automatically when the call ends. Email and Notion work the same way.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. HappyScribe offers a free plan with unlimited meeting recordings. No credit card required.

How accurate is the transcription?

95%+ across all supported languages.

What languages are supported?

150+ languages and dialects, with automatic language detection.

Can I use HappyScribe without a bot joining the meeting?

Yes. HappyScribe offers a bot-free browser recorder that captures audio from your device.

Where is my meeting data stored?

All data is stored in an EU-based data center that is PCI DSS and ISO 27001-compliant.
